For 'Xenotaph', SCAR SYMMETRY enlisted the help of The Ultraterrestrial Choir - a 233-voice strong ensemble consisting of fans, friends, and family from all over the world; with each choir member multitracked the resulting recording consists of literally thousands of vocal tracks!

Guitarist Per Nilsson comments: "'Xenotaph' concludes Phase II in an open-ended way, leaving the listener on a bit of a cliffhanger musically as well as lyrically. Alternative-electronic artist Slighter presents his new album 'This Futile Engine', released via Brutal Resonance Records and Confusion Inc. This 13-track record features collaborations with Steven Seibold (Hate Dept) and Craig Joseph Huxtable (Ohm, Landscape Body Machine, Front Line Assembly, Noise Unit), as well as Yvette Winkler (Vaselyne), Morgue VVitch and Deep Dark Water.

Following up the intense, moody and cinematic lead single 'Have No Fear' (with traditional A-side and B-side versions), Slighter also presents an enthralling video for the latest single ‘Pulling Me Under’ feat. Craig Joseph Huxtable, with whom he had previously collaborated on earlier singles 'Give Me' and 'Lights Out', as heard on FOX’s Second Chance in 2016.

Slighter is the solo moniker of Colin C., who has been fine-tuning the future of electronic music since kickstarting his music in Mid City Los Angeles in the early 2000s. American dark electronic duo Alien Gothic presents 'In The Night', previewing their debut album

Colorado-based artist Alien Gothic present their debut single 'In The Night', a song that stretches cosmic goth music into a whole new realm, combining all the elements the duo has been striving to integrate into the project in the four years since their inception.

Conjuring up music that can be described as gloom from other worlds, they have been trying to find their way back to the original trajectory they were on previous to crash landing in Barnum, Colorado. With no time to put their lives on hold, they have cooked up a deal to release their 'High and Dry' album via Latenight Weeknight Records.

With classic goth rock as its backbone, 'In The Night' also sees darkwave smoldering at the surface. A symphonic journey telling the tale of two unknown lifeforms, bringing their favorite sounds to a place they have never explored before, this music is inspired by the beauty of the world around them, while still being pulled into the darkness of the dead stars they came from.

The video tells the tale of their recent exploration as they look for a way out of this world, gravitating to the most iconic structures they find along the way. Mixing in elements of AI, traditional film and lost portraits of the two core members, the song blends reality and fiction, while introducing a vibe they hope to spread to all the other planetary systems around us.

Made up of Ryan Policky (A Shoreline Dream) and Andy Uhrmacher (Genessier), Alien Gothic creates deep gothic electronica, fused with spacial goth autoharp symphonies, deep mellotron overtures mixed with noises from unknown origins on the vast hour long debut. Themes and words recall events that the duo have had from the far reaches of the beyond. With deep beats, lush goth rock entwine with psych and shoegaze layers to create cosmic, pulsating melodies.

Recorded from 2020-2023, Alien Gothic take a journey out of a world gone mad, to spread a sound that is immersive and rich with varied instrumentation. Soundscaping goth is what these artists have become known for elsewhere along the milky way, their spectrums now hitting earth to bring forth a dreary alien orchestra, lost deep in a dark forest beyond the normal stretches of human imagination.

"It’s something we knew would destroy the seedy, cobweb filled danceclubs of the past, bringing forth a new era of goth... alien goth!" says Ryan Policky.

As of July 18, 'In The Night' will be available exclusively via Bandcamp. The full 'High and Dry' album will be released digitally on August 18 across all fine music platforms.

BBR Music Group recording artist Tim Montana is rallying the troops for his inaugural American Thread benefit concert, set for October 2 at Nashville's City Winery. The special concert event will benefit Special Ops Xcursions, a nonprofit that supports U.S. special operations forces and their families. Montana will headline and is planning for several surprise guest performers.

For the past three years, Montana has headed up the American Thread Sporting Clays Shoot in Nashville, drawing celebs who lent their time to help our nation's military heroes. Previous celeb attendees include Charlie Sheen, Colbie Caillat, Travis Pastrana, Lee Brice, Steve Cropper and more. In addition to the concert, Montana will continue his tradition with the fourth annual Tim Montana & Friends American Thread Sporting Clays Shoot, set for October 3 at the Nashville Gun Club. The yearly event has generated nearly one million dollars since its inception.

Atoll Unleash New Visualizer For "The Simmering" Taken From Upcoming New Album 'Human Extract' Out August 25 via Unique Leader Records

Phoenix, AZ extreme metal quintet Atoll has unleashed a new stop motion visualizer for "The Simmering". With a haunting lyrical journey about the gruesome horrors of being boiled alive and a punishing sonic experience to boot, the track is taken from the band's upcoming new album 'Human Extract' out on August 25 via Unique Leader Records. Speaking on "The Simmering", Atoll vocalist Wade Taylor shared:

"We were going for a tone of pure pain, horror, and decay that would engulf the listener in the flames and bubbles of despair. "The Simmering" is an intense exploration of the darkest aspects of human suffering, offering an immersive journey into the depths of terror and torment. With punishing riffs and a suffocating atmosphere, we aim to transport the listener to the very edge of their sanity."

Emerging from the scorched desert wasteland in 2014, the Phoenix, Arizona-based death metal quintet, Atoll, has been aggressively serving up their unique style for nearly the last decade. Brilliantly blending groove-based slamming brutal death with more traditional death metal elements, grind, and at times even a sprinkle of ‘core, funk, and thrash. Their composition favors a "riff piling" approach rather than the more common and simplistic verse-chorus-verse arrangement, giving the music something of a progressive element with very few repeated riffs, and less predictable movements. Atoll has remained a staple in the metal fest scene, and you may have caught them live playing with the likes of Skinless, Gorgasm, Ingested, and Aborted. Their love of the tour bus life and an importance placed on always having the highest quality, high-energy performances have gained them a reputation for being a consistent, unrelenting live force.

April 2014 birthed this bulbous abomination that has grown into the mighty Atoll when they conspired to create percussive, not frills, chugging brutality. The band immediately shot up in the local AZ scene and very quickly began to expand their live performances throughout the southwest United States, building up momentum for their 2016 debut album, and straight up slammer, The Gathering Swarm. Produced by the late Griffin “The Father” Kolinski (Knights Of The Abyss) and Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me) the album was quickly picked up and released by Amputated Vein subsidiary, Ghastly Music.

The initial success of their debut album caught the eye of Gorehouse Productions who went on to release the 2017 sophomore album, Fallout Frenzy. The vocals on this album show significant expanse in dynamic range, incorporating highs, mids, and some of the most nasty gutterals you’ll ever hear. Lyrically Fallout Frenzy expanded further on the origins of the band name, embracing themes of the atom bomb tests of Bikini Atoll in the 1950’s, and the subsequent radioactive fallout and mutations that occurred after the bombings.

The critically acclaimed album, Zoopocalypse is released in 2019 through Gorehouse Productions. This album is in-your-face aggression from front to back. A departure from the more rudimentary slams of their earlier works, Zoo implements more technicality, more tremolo and scaling, mathier leads, and a generally more advanced death metal sound that would represent the direction of the band moving forward. The mix/master was completed by Miguel Tereso of Demigod Recordings (Analepsy, Organectomy), and features a guest vocal spot from Matti Way (Disgorge, Abominable Putridity, Pathology)

During the global limbo of lockdown Atoll was able to strike a deal with the legendary Unique Leader Records, and in 2022 put out the Prepuce EP. The mini-release serves as a taster of things to come as Atoll has completed the production of two upcoming full-length albums, scheduled to drop through Unique Leader in 2023 and 2024. This two-part release will be the most technically ambitious to date. Keep your eyes peeled on the tour front, and ears open because, like an atomic tsunami, Atoll is primed to decimate the masses.

THY CATAFALQUE Live at Budapest Park

For more than two decades, THY CATAFALQUE was a studio-only project. That changed in 2021, when Tamás Kátai and a rotating cast of heavy hitters performed at the Fekete Zaj Festival, which was captured on the live album Mezolit.

Now, Thy Catafalque have solidified as a live act (though they still surprise audiences with a special guest here and there). Back in May, they played Budapest Park in Kátai's native Hungary. The setlist included the elegant, cinematic cello of old favorites like "Kő koppan", the heady "Töltés", off the soon-to-be reissued 'Geometria', as well as "Néma vermek", the punishing, synth-swirled closer off the band's new album ‘Alföld’.

THY CATAFALQUE’s humble genius Tamás Kátai abandons any and all prenotions of tradition. Intertwining elements from a vast swath of unrelated genres, from jazz to pop to folk, and everything in between, THY CATAFALQUE masterfully crafts an eclectic sound that breaks down any generic barriers or borders. Following the massive success of 2021’s critically-acclaimed ‘Vadak’ the entity returns with ‘Alföld’ another esoteric monument in its already storied catalogue.

Originally, THY CATAFALQUE emerged as a black metal band founded by singer/keyboard player Tamás Kátai with the aid of guitarist/bassist János Juhász. Following their joined debut ‘Sublunary Tragedies’ (1999), the Hungarians evolved into quite different directions, but steadily gaining more followers in the process through the following albums, ‘Microcosmos’ (2001) and the self-released ‘Tűnő idő tárlat’ (2004).

On their fourth full-length, ‘Róka hasa Rádió’ (2009), THY CATAFALQUEinvited Ágnes Tóth from neo-folk outfit THE MOON AND THE NIGHTSPIRIT and Attila Bakos to add their haunting vocals. With fifth album ‘Rengeteg’ (2011), Tamás Kátai finally went solo with the help of guest musicians that again included Ágnes Tóth an Attila Bakos. Dubbing his eclectic musical amalgamation avant-garde metal, the Hungarian explored new sonic possibilities with ‘Sgùrr’ (2015). The sixth full-length turned out to be slightly more complex than its successor, ‘Meta’ (2016), which returned to a more direct approach without losing the steadily growing sonic diversity. In 2018, THY CATAFALQUE continued this path with the release of ‘Geometria’. THY CATAFALQUE delivered another spectacular musical mosaic with their ninth full-length entitled ‘Naiv’, inspired by the “Naïve Art” movement.

In 2021, THY CATAFALQUE return with ‘Vadak’. Meaning “Wildlings” in Hungarian, the album title is a deliberate clue to the exotic and feral essence of ‘Vadak.’ Like seedlings scattered throughout the forest by the mere forces of nature, THY CATAFALQUE’s imaginative sound grows with an organic sense of whimsy, cultivated within the vast influences of our megacosm. Thematically, ‘Vadak’ is a foreboding lesson in mortality. Emphasizing the fragility that is shared by man and beast alike, the record explores our Freudian life instincts, in which we inherently fear and run from the ultimate goal of existence: death.

At its core, ‘Alföld’ expresses the familiar hallmarks that are unique to only THY CATAFALQUE, and yet, it is an unpredictable magnum opus, returning to the raw side of Kátai and his esteemed co-conspirators. The album puts forth an elegance that cannot be matched or rivalled by any musical contemporary, taking fans on an adventure that is rife with excitement, drama, and unbridled craftsmanship.

Miranda Lambert's MuttNation Foundation Launches 'It Takes Balls' Spay & Neuter Campaign

Three-time GRAMMY Award-winner and New York Times best-selling author Miranda Lambert has launched a new MuttNation Foundation campaign, It Takes Balls, to raise awareness for the importance of spay and neuter and to offer grant applications to low-cost programs in Tennessee, with a focus on rural areas.

“Spay and neuter is the best way to keep pets out of overcrowded shelters, to reduce pet homelessness and to make sure your cats and dogs live happy and healthy lives,” shares Lambert. “Sometimes it literally takes balls to do the right thing. Please spay or neuter your pets!”

Every day, 70,000 puppies and kittens are born in the U.S. While beloved for their cuteness, there is nothing cute at all about seeing them wind up in overcrowded shelters, especially as over 3.5 million dogs and cats are euthanized across the country every year, often due to lack of space. BRUJERIA ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM ESTO ES BRUJERIA + RELEASE FIRST SINGLE 'MOCHADO'

Mexican death grind band BRUJERIA put the world of cartels and ritualistic murder on wax with a brutal power equivalent to when Compton arrived in pop culture via NWA. On September 15th, the band will unleash their fifth full-length album Esto Es Brujeria onto the world via Nuclear Blast Records.

Today, the band releases the first single from the album entitled, 'Mochado'. Check out the video visualizer for the first taste of the album.

Esto Es Brujeria was recorded worldwide at the following studios: Dog Run Studio in Riverside, CA; Total Annihilation Studios in East Los Angeles, CA; Robanna’s in Birmingham, UK; and Audiocustom in Santiago, Chile. Production of the record was handled by the band while engineering was a joint effort between Eddie Casillas, Eddie Rivas, and Miguel Seco. The mixing and mastering of the album was completed by Seba Puente who was also a part of the engineering team. The album artwork was created by Gary Ronaldson. Esto Es Brujeria saw the return of their metal mascot Coco Loco who is emblazoned on the ferocious cover.

The Intemperate Sons Release New Single "Faceless Man" + Official Music Video via FRAME|WORK

Indie rock band The Intemperate Sons released their latest single "Faceless Man"from their highly anticipated new album Game of Keep Away that will be released to all major platforms via FRAME|WORK in the fall of 2023. The band also released the official music video for the single today and are in the early stages of planning a fall run of shows on the west coast.

"'Faceless Man' is our latest journey into an alt-acoustic soundscape with the proper amount of electric elements inspired from a heavy Alice in Chains influence circa the SAP-era. The song is about the fatalist view of the world seen through the eyes of an otherwise invisible person trying to survive from minute to minute. There is heavy influence on this track, not only from Alice in Chains, but from The Doors and Stone Temple Pilots as well," says the band.

The Intemperate Sons release all their music through the Frame|Work record label at the direction of Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck. The Intemperate Sons are managed by Denny Sanders at The Label Group. The video was produced by Ardent Owl Media and Keith Watson.

The Intemperate Sons emerged onto the rock scene in the summer of 2019 in Dallas, TX, to bring their distinct sound to the genre. A deep love for music brought family members Keith Watson (drums), Jake Watson (guitars) and Max Watson (vocals, guitars, keys) together along with close friend Mark Marks, who provides the groove on bass to unite everything together. The band's sound has been described as a 90's alternative style that is obsessed with the 70's.

Keith is well acquainted with entertaining massive crowds of concert goers and has played with many successful bands in Dallas, such as Gun Hill, Natural Born Thrillers and Agents of Solace, on top of opening for Lynch Mob, Joe Lynn Turner and Sponge. He is the primary lyricist for the band and has written the music for some of their most successful songs, including “Dust to Dust,” “The Color Within,” and “Unrealized.”

Multi-talented and gifted with the ability to play various instruments, Max is also the lead vocalist of the group. Along with being musically dexterous, he has also collaborated with Keith to write lyrics on the released songs “Going Crazy” and “Way Back When.” In the studio, Max usually surmounts expectations and goes above and beyond to prepare prior to a session with his own vocal harmonies.

Jake is the song architect of the Sons and extremely instrumental in the crafting of the music. His inventive ways of bringing lyrics to life in clever ways are unprecedented and fascinating to see in the studio setting. He is a prolific writer of music as well and is credited with helping create the songs “What’s Done is Done,” “Remission,” “Way Back When” and “Wading in the Gray.” Both Max and he play lead guitar on many of the songs as well. The other members of the band fondly refer to him as the “art director” since he enjoys taking charge in those areas for the group.

Prolific and unifying, Mark is an accomplished bass player and well known in Dallas. He was in the regionally successful band, Haggard, and had opened for Sebastian Bach of Skid Row. His input in song writing has been invaluable to the process of creating captivating melodies.

Despite the pandemic putting a pause on many major events, The Intemperate Sons lived up to their name and let nothing hold them back from making music. Constantly hard at work in the studio, they have collaborated with Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy, Rough Cutt) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy). Both have lent their musical talents to various songs and ultimately have brought the Sons on to their label, Frame|Work. This led the band to also recently join the management roster at The Label Group. Ryan worked with Amir to produce the band’s upcoming track, “Game of Keep Away,”and has had a huge impact on the group. He’s been especially influential on Max’s vocal melodies and delivery. Amir also plays guitar on this latest ballad and has been mixing all of the band’s music as well as performing on multiple songs.

Another notable collaboration has been with Tony Franklin (The Firm, Roy Harper, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Whitesnake), primarily on the first album, The Color Within. He has been a valuable friend of the band and has played bass on some of their best tracks from that album, including “Running Man,” “Dust to Dust” and “The Color Within.”

The Intemperate Sons’ take on alternative rock is a dark and powerful concoction of hard rock mixed with folk and grunge concepts. The band has earned a serious reputation for writing and performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style, which has a retro vibe with many guitar-driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate at a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and even R.E.M.

After a successful show at The Viper Room in Hollywood, CA, the band plans to do some regional shows in Texas and then head out West this year as well.
