SIFYN Stitch Themselves Back Together on New Single "Sew Me Up"

Minneapolis pop-metalcore outfit, SIFYN, cut a little deeper with their brand new track, "Sew Me Up", out now. Taken off the band's forthcoming EP, "Self-Encrypted", set for release on December 4, the track tightens the band's blend of metal with alternative rock, atmosphere, emo vulnerability, and pop-forward melody. Where lead single, "Code", wrestled with the urge to protect someone who has to find their own way, "Sew Me Up", picks up in the emotional whiplash of broken promises and crossed lines. After previous single, "Code", found a home in rotation at Universal Studios: Halloween Horror Nights - Hollywood, SIFYN aim their focus with a track that is far more confrontational. Speaking on the self-preservation at the heart of "Sew Me Up", founding member and frontman Lukas Magyar shares:

Two decades in, Leng Tch’e still sound like a band settling a score with time itself. “Hammered into Collapse” is built around the image of a parasite that has fed on its host for 20 years without ever being sated, a slow reckoning with wasted time that tightens into a repeated, mechanical refrain: mind turning black, cerebral and neural hijack.

“Hammered into Collapse” was recorded at Hearse Studio with engineer Lander Cluyse, mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit Recording Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. Known for working with God’s Hate, Full and Hell and Vitriol, Young helps situate Leng Tche’s new single within a current, heavier-leaning corner of the grind and death metal landscape.

Hammered into Collapse was recorded at Hearse Studio with engineer Lander Cluyse, built around a single escalating idea: two decades of denial giving way, all at once, to what the lyrics call cerebral hijack. Serge Kasongo’s words track a narrator who spent a lifetime avoiding a reckoning only to find it arrives anyway, swallowing and digesting the wasted time in real time. “Voided” takes the same collapse and pushes it outward, past the individual and into something closer to apocalypse, spiralling from mental unravelling to total blackout, into the void. Where the title track stays claustrophobic and internal, “Voided” opens up until the personal and the cosmic blur together.

Dark metal ensemble ATER present "Sleep," a haunting and heavy romantic ballad. The new single goes beyond ATER's exploration of shadowy brutality, revealing a softer side and a more emotional arrangement. "Sleep" is the first taste of the band's upcoming full length offering, Everlasting. The album is scheduled to arrive on January 29, 2027, via Torque Records.

ATER’s frontman Fernando Bühring comments: "This is a very different release for us, and I’m sure most of our listeners will be surprised. I have been exploring and expanding the musical boundaries of ATER, and this song is an expression of that. Freedom. Freedom to express myself. We shot the music video with a small team and it was directed by our drummer Vincent Zbinden. ‘Sleep’ is a very personal song and if you asked me months ago, I would never write something like that. But I did, and it represents well this new facet of sound we developed recently creating this new album."

About ATER:
Based out of Santiago, Chile, extreme metal act ATER unveiled their debut album Eternal Gray Spiral in 2018 through Insania Recordings. The band's sophomore album Somber arrived in 2024 via Torque Records, with 2025 seeing the release of singles, "The Fall" and "Venus".

Describing their sound as Dark Metal or Extreme Dark Metal, ATER's music is constructed primarily from extreme metal and gothic rock. Their production feels both modern and organic, with composer Fernando building songs around the guitars and bass often leading to centered bass parts in the mix. Today, legendary English rock supergroup ASIA shares “Arcadia,” a new extract from their upcoming studio album, ‘Indigo,’ out on November 6, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl. The official video for the single is available now.

“The original idea for ‘Arcadia’ was that it was going to be the title of the third ASIA album, which we then later decided to change to ‘Astra.’ However, the word and concept has always been around us, and there have been many suggestions over the years to write a song about it. So, here we are in 2026, 40 years later, and we’ve finally managed to bring it into being. ‘Arcadia’ is a historical Greek region and is depicted as an idyllic pastoral place free from the outside world. Our song symbolizes a retreat from everyday life, an escape if you like to a quieter place, something that we all need to do from time to time.”

Geoff Downes described the genesis of the album:

“The initial writing period began in 2015, following the release of our previous album 'Gravitas' in 2014. John Wetton and I started putting our ideas together, aiming to get into the studio once more. It was with great sadness that John became seriously ill. During this time, we had put on hold our plans, and sadly, John passed away before we could continue and complete it. So, it was always in my mind that at some point it would be a shame not to finish off some of these songs and finally release them as part of an ASIA album.

“In 2023, when the tribute concert for John took place, I was so encouraged by the response to ASIA’s music that I viewed this as the perfect opportunity to re-establish not only the band, but also to reunite with our long-time supportive label, Frontiers, paving the way for us to get back in the studio”, he continued.

Downes also added:

“So, ASIA was back in the room, so to speak, and we were very fortunate to have recruited Virgil Donati and John Mitchell, both of whom had worked extensively with John before, as well as our new vocalist and bassist, Harry Whitley. The tours followed to great success throughout 2024 and 2025, and finally, we sat down towards the end of last year to record the album. Working with these fine musicians was a great privilege, and the music just seemed to flow.

“The album was really a joy to make. I forged a close writing relationship with Harry, and I felt how great it was to be working with someone who had very similar musical influences and taste once again, just as I did with John. I feel that this is one of our best albums to date. The songs are deep in musicality, with a powerful and original performance, dynamics, and strong lyrical undertones – it’s an album that hopefully our fans will widely appreciate and support our cause to put ASIA back on the map. Recorded throughout 2025 and produced by Downes and the band, with mixing and mastering handled by John Mitchell, 'Indigo' captures the unmistakable spirit of ASIAwhile injecting it with renewed vitality and purpose.

At the heart of the album lies an emotional connection to the band’s history. 'Indigo' includes some of the final compositions written by the late John Wetton - “Tattoo Indigo (Parts 2 & 3)” and “Chesapeake Bay”- imbuing the record with a profound sense of continuity and tribute. The presence of Wetton is further felt through the extraordinary vocal performance of Harry Whitley, whose tone and phrasing evoke a striking and deeply moving resemblance to the band’s original voice.

Musically, 'Indigo' stands as a natural continuation of ASIA’s acclaimed 21st-century output, while subtly weaving in the sonic DNA of the band’s classic early albums. Bullet For My Valentine will release their new album, Social Apocalypse, on March 19, 2027, via Spinefarm. The announcement arrives with a towering new single by the samename. "Social Apocalypse" is the band's first new song in four years; on the title track, Matt Tuck rages against "the end of the world as we know it," when "all hope has faded."

Thematically, Social Apocalypse combines the bare-faced lyrical introspection of people weathered and worn by the modern world with wide-eyed observations on a planet that feels as if it is coming off the rails at every turn. "Everything in life is changing at such a rapid pace, and it is hard to find a great deal of positivity when you look at events in the world," Tuck says. "People are being pitted against each other. The world is full of conflict instead of unity. As a father, I look at what the world is like for younger people, and how completely different it is now."

Working once more with producer Carl Bown — a veteran of four Bullet albums, alongside work with Sleep Token, While She Sleeps, Malevolence and more — each new album track was diligently scrutinized, constructed, and polished to its immaculate final form. Shock Rock Legends GWAR Premiere HD Version of the "School's Out" Music Video

With GWAR’s 20th anniversary celebration of their 2006 opus ‘Beyond Hell’ arriving this Friday, September 25th, the band are premiering the HD version of their “School’s Out”music video, a cover of the Alice Cooper classic. The newly remastered deluxe edition, available for the first time ever on vinyl via the band’s own Pit Records, is now completely sold out through the GWAR store.

Remastered by Paul Logus (Anthrax, Killswitch Engage), the anniversary edition breathes new life into one of the band's most ambitious and theatrical releases. Alongside the remastered album, the release also includes a previously unreleased outro track recorded during the original ‘Beyond Hell’ sessions that was left off the original release.

Originally released in 2006, 'Beyond Hell' marked a defining moment in GWAR's legendary career. Produced by Devin Townsend, the album brought together two of metal's most unique creative forces, with Townsend helping shape one of the band's most ambitious and beloved releases.

"I had been a GWAR fan since I was a kid. I loved the freedom, the metal, the spectacle, and the passion that went into it all," recalls Townsend. "I met Brockie on a tour we did together and, after cornering him in an elevator basically telling him I'd work for free, I found myself co-producing 'Beyond Hell.' Dave and Corey came to Vancouver to stay with me, and we recorded at Profile Studios. The drums and basic tracks were done at Slave Pit in Richmond, Virginia, and the whole process took about three months."

He continues, "GWAR were, and are, an amazing combination of artistic freedom, absurdity, and hard work bundled up with metal and performance. Loved them then, love them now."

Chronicling the band's descent into Hell to rescue their long-lost comrade Flattus Maximus, 'Beyond Hell' remains one of GWAR's defining releases, featuring fan favorites including "Back in Crack," "Womb With a View," "Tormentor," and "The Ultimate Bohab."

Twenty years later, 'Beyond Hell' is ready to rise once again, louder, heavier, and more gloriously blasphemous than ever before.

FOGHAT lead singer/guitarist Scott Holt takes center stage on the band’s soul-stirring take on the Elmore James blues classic, “It Hurts Me Too,” the second single released today from the upcoming triple-vinyl LIVE & LOUD ACROSS THE U.S.A. It arrives ahead of the album’s October 30 release on Foghat Records, distributed by Select-O-Hits, a division of Sun Records.

The video can be viewed on the band’s official YouTube page HERE and is available on all digital outlets. The album can be pre-ordered HERE, which will be sold as two gold vinyl discs, along with a bonus third red vinyl disc (along with a double CD) that will include a reissue of the fan favorite Earl & the Agitators (aka FOGHAT) record, SHAKEN & STIRRED(produced/mixed/mastered by guitarist Bryan Bassett), which has never been available on vinyl until now.

Recorded live in 2024, “It Hurts Me Too” finds FOGHAT returning to the deep blues foundation upon which the band was built from their days with Savoy Brown. Written by Hudson Whittaker, it was first recorded by Tampa Red in 1940 and later immortalized by the great Elmore James. The song has traveled through generations of blues musicians, and in FOGHAT’s hands it becomes something immediate, raw, and deeply personal. Scott doesn’t simply sing the blues, he reaches inside the song and makes every word, note and silence count.

“This is the kind of song Scott was born to sing,” says FOGHAT founding drummer Roger Earl. “He doesn’t just play the blues; he understands where it comes from and what it supposed to feel like. Every night we play this song he takes us somewhere different. I’m sitting behind him listening, and I still get chills.”

It’s the follow-up to the album’s first single, “My Babe,” which was released August 14 on all digital outlets HERE. The video can be viewed on the band’s official YouTube page HERE.

Founding drummer Roger Earl remains at its heart, and along with Scott is joined by longtime lead/slide guitarist Bryan Bassett, who has been not only a band member, but also the band’s producer and engineer since 1999(who had also played with “Lonesome” Dave Peverett for many years prior to that), along with bassist/vocalist Rodney O’Quinn, who joined in 2015 after being hand-picked by longtime bassist Craig MacGregor who sadly passed in 2018.

“A band is more than a list of names from one moment in time,” says Earl. “It’s the music, the history, the people who have carried it forward and the connection we still have with the fans every night. Bryan, Scott, and Rodney are not pretending to be anyone else. They have each brought their own history, talent, and heart to Foghat, and this band is playing with as much passion as we EVER have.”

British alt-shoegaze outfit OVERSIZE have returned with a stunning new single, "Separate," released today via SharpTone Records. Marking a powerful new chapter, the band returns a year after the release of their debut album, Vital Signs, to introduce brand new vocalist Nick Nowak.

Formed in the South West of England, OVERSIZE — vocalist Nick Nowak; guitarists Lewis Lennane-Emm and Tazz Edwards; bassist George Lewis; and drummer Sam Shutler — blend '90s shoegaze textures, heavy grunge riffs, and raw post-hardcore catharsis.

OVERSIZE are an alternative band formed in the Southwest of England. While the band don't shy away from their love of alternative '90s music, OVERSIZE have very little interest in being sonically tied to the past, their shared experience of writing and playing live together has found them carving out their own space within the alternative scene. Exploring dynamics within their music, songs drift between atmospheric textures to loud fuzzy riffs, magnifying and complimenting the personal and often venerable vocals. OVERSIZE have already had an impressive amount of live shows under their belt playing across the UK supporting the likes of Militarie Gun, Fiddlehead, Higher Power, Static Dress, Boston Manor, Modern Color to name a few. The debut record Vital Signs was released in February 2025 via SharpTone Records.

Although still very much in their infancy, the group has already developed a fully-formed, personal sound. Elements of post-hardcore, alternative metal, shoegaze and emo combine to deliriously heady effect. While the band don’t shy away from their love of alternative '90s music, and a love of HUM, The Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, and Pixies, OVERSIZEhave very little interest in being sonically tied to the past.

British alt-pop artist SICKY offers mischief and revenge on new ‘Bubblegum Party’ single

British alternative artist SICKY unveils his new single 'Bubblegum Party', a playful, infectious slice of indie rock that pairs catchy pop sensibilities with his trademark off-kilter style. Beneath the bubblegum facade lies a gloriously messy breakup party, served with a crooked grin as sweetness meets spite, chaos and a wicked sense of fun.

'Bubblegum Party' offers the first taste of his forthcoming full-length 'Redland' album - his fourth to date. Full of mischief, attitude and a darker sense of humour, here SICKY delivers one of his most fun and irreverent songs to date. 'Redland' is an album about friends lost along the way. It's a good bit darker than its predecessor Troubled Delight.

"Ultimately, 'Bubblegum Party' is a tale of sweet revenge. A public humiliation of someone who absolutely had it coming to them. It's a work of fiction but has a large toe touching reality. We've all met the cocky arrogant lowlife type who tries to control someone they're supposed to be close to. Well, in this song, he gets his comeuppance at our heroine’s birthday party," says Mick Butler.

"The bubblegum reference is effectively a middle finger gesture by the metaphorical blowing of an exploding gum bubble in someone's direction. It's poppy, it's silly and it's just a bit of fun amongst some much darker moments on the 'Redland' album".

SICKY is the solo project of Mick Butler, whose brand of melodic Britpop-infused indie rock spells good news for fans of Beck, Supergrass and early Blur. Originally from the Black Country region of England, he is now based in Shropshire.

While Mick Butler has had his run of playing in bands, ranging from the brass soaked pop of Papa Mantra to the dirty stomp of SUMO, he now derives pleasure from banging out tunes and crafting new material. Literally everything you hear in his music is him squeezing noises out of anything that'll sing.

In 2025, SICKY released his widely acclaimed 'Troubled Delight' album, preceded by his sophomore 'Garbage Town' album in 2022. Prior to that, in 2021, he debuted with 'Bowling Balls', partially inspired by Prince, Bowie and Ray Bradbury's book 'The Martian Chronicles'.

37 years since forming, New York Tri-State rock veterans JACK'S MAZE resurface with ‘Let It Go’

Many years since forming in 1989, American rocker outfit Jack's Maze is back with new material. Their new single 'Let It Go' is a driving, dark melodic, emotional progressive rock song that opens the next chapter for a band with a storied history. Originally based in Hightstown, New Jersey, Jack’s Maze originally cut their teeth in the early 90's as a band in the New York tri-state scene after initially launching as Laughing Jack.

Previewing their forthcoming album 'Once In A Blue Moon', set for release in January 2027 via Pennsylvania indie imprint RPM Entertainment, the story behind this record entails a journey 37 years in the making. Jack's Maze is an enduring tale of music, friendship, perseverance, and unfinished dreams, now ready to take their next major leap forward.

"I first came up with the basic music and melody for 'Let It Go' about 15 years ago! I would play it off and on and always singing “…and the music take you/me away, then all questions are answered today…”. However, the rest of the lyrics and music were done recently. The concept is obviously how music can be a remedy for what may troubling you at any given time - it’s an escape and freedom - but, for me at least, sometimes it can be a double-edge sword," says frontman Frank Cinquegrana.

"There is constantly music in my head - just about every waking minute, whether I am proactively humming/singing or playing it in my head on purpose. Half the time I hear it in my head like background music, whether I’m working, eating, having sex or even socially conversing with others! In fact, there is a song playing in my head at the moment I am writing this; and driving me absolutely crazy!!! Music is usually freedom but sometimes it can be chains."

Founded in 1989 as Laughing Jack, the band soon took on the name Jack's Maze and built a solid reputation by playing throughout New York City and surrounding states, drawing from the expansive creativity of progressive rock, the power of classic rock, and diverse influences ranging from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Rush to early Genesis and Mozart.

The original lineup featured Frank Cinquegrana on lead vocals and lyricist, Robin Ross on keyboards and guitars, Scott Cowan on rhythm guitar, Joe Torres on bass, Joe Granowski on drums, and Bill Snyder on lead guitar, Robin also served as the band's composer and a driving creative force behind its music.

By 1993, Jack's Maze completed their debut album 'Lost in the Maze', which was subsequently shelved when life happened and the music went quiet. Despite never receiving an official release at the time, the album remained an important part of the band’s story. That music quietly waited nearly three decades to be discovered when the band reunited in 2022 to bring that unfinished chapter to life.

On the 30th anniversary of the album, Jack’s Maze finally released this record, giving fans the opportunity to hear music that had waited nearly 30 years to be discovered. The powerful track 'Big Machines' emerged as the band’s anthem—a fitting representation of the energy, ambition, and timeless character of their music. Unfortunately, Snyder passed away in 2021, but his playing and contribution to the band's music remain an enduring part of the band's legacy.

After resurfacing from their decades-long hibernation, the band has not been sitting idle - now moving forward with their second album 'Once In a Blue Moon'. Cinquegrana's broad musical perspective and powerful storytelling remain central to the identity of Jack’s Maze. Developing the band's progressive-rock sound and original compositions with Robin Ross, they have been able to continue exploring the many musical influences that define Jack’s Maze through songwriting, recording and collaboration that continues to drive the band's creative vision.

For Robin Ross, the decades in between have been productive, allowing the band to continue making new music following their reunion, taking things to a new level. A multi-faceted musician, songwriter, and producer who has released numerous albums, he has also designed and developed several recording spaces, including Triple R Studios and Sound Complex near NYC.

Now a central figure in the creative pulse of Milford, Pennsylvania, Ross has since grown his current hub, Baa Baa Leaf Music, into a creative sanctuary and production house. It it here where he recorded, mixed and produced this new album, working alongside famed master engineer Jonathan Duckett (Phillip Glass, Kenny G, David Sanborn).

Jack’s Maze is more than a band - it is a story of music, friendship, perseverance, and unfinished dreams finally brought back to life. The band’s journey proves that great music never truly dies out. Driven by an enduring love of music, they continue to celebrate the sound they created decades ago, while keeping the spirit of progressive rock alive for a new generation. The maze may have started in 1989, but their journey is far from over.

BEAUTY IN CHAOS & ASHTON NYTE reunite for 'Home' single, marking 8 years since debut

Beauty In Chaos reunites with longtime collaborator Ashton Nyte of famed South African goth rockers The Awakening for their new single 'Home' - a intimate, emotionally resonant track that arrives exactly eight years after Nyte first joined the Michael Ciravolo-led project for 'Storm', the debut that introduced BIC to the world. The anniversary makes 'Home' a particularly fitting reunion, bringing Nyte back to the project for a song about love, trust, connection and the feeling of finally finding where you belong.

'Home' is the first taste of the coming album ‘Quiet Place’, BIC's fifth full-length record with 10 tracks on offer. Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Michael Rozon (Ministry, Jarboe, Wayne Hussey, The Melvins), 'Home' will be released on September 28th via LA-based imprint 33.3 Music Collective.

'Home' arrives eight years to the day that Beauty In Chaos' first video and single 'Storm' were first unleashed on an unsuspecting world, introducing their debut album ‘Finding Beauty In Chaos’. Hence, it is fitting that Ashton Nyte should once again contribute lyrics and vocals, against the soundscape written and created by BIC curator Michael Ciravolo and producer Michael Rozon.

“When we started writing music for this album, I wanted to send each artist a bit more open music tracks than in the past, giving them more space to create - with the plan of adding our usual dense textures around and inspired by their words and melody," says Michael Ciravolo.

"When Ashton sent back his vocals for “Home”, I thought it was perfect in its intimacy, and we added very little if anything at all after. It just felt ‘complete’ as it was. It think Michael Rozon and I have learned that sometimes less can be best."

Filmed by Vicente Cordero (Industrialism Films) and Ashton Nyte, who also directed and edited it, the accompanying video features Ashton Nyte (vocals), Michael Ciravolo (guitar) and Tish Ciravolo (bass), Nyte shares, “I think the video captures the beauty and spirt of the song, without any of the ‘goth trappings’ that ruin so many videos that fall may fall into this space”.

“'Home' is essentially a song that celebrates the simple truth that home is indeed where the heart is, as the old expression goes. A shared life is more meaningful than a life lived in solitude when you share it with someone you love and trust," says Ashton Nyte.

“Musically, it is one of my favourite melodies that Michael has ever sent my way. Much like 'Storm', it felt like the song was made for me, and I wrote and recorded the lyrics almost immediately upon hearing the music. Yes, I am home again."

Beauty In Chaos has come a long way since LA-based guitarist Michael Ciravolo(formerly of Human Drama and Gene Loves Jezebel and current President of Schecter Guitars) launched this project in 2018. Over the years, BIC has involved members of The Mission, The Cure, Ministry, Cheap Trick, The Offspring, Gene Loves Jezebel, Marilyn Manson, Human Drama, Bauhaus, Nine Inch Nails, Van Halen, A Flock of Seagulls and dUg Pinnick, ICE-T, Rolan Bolan and Zakk Wylde, among other luminaries.

"'Storm' was so very important to me. It started a lifelong friendship and creative partnership with Ashton, and it also became a seminal part of BIC’s musical journey," says Michael Ciravolo.

"As always, I strive to have our videos completed different from its predecessor. I really loved the style of Ashton’s recent videos. Soft focus, black and white is certainly the ‘polar opposite’ from our 'Get Down Moses' video and felt perfect in its intimate simplicity for 'Home'. I had ultimate confidence in handing the editing keys to Ashton on this one.”

Most recently , Beauty In Chaos released the digital compilation 'Hidden In Plain Sight, 2018-2025', preceded by the double A-side single 'Get Down Moses', immortalized by Johnny Cash, and the much-loved Joe Strummer classic 'God's Gonna Cut You Down'.

'Home' is available everywhere digitally, including Bandcamp and the artist's store, where all past BIC releases can also be found. On September 28th, the 'Quiet Place' album will be available digitally and as a double vinyl release.
