KINSLEY SIGNS WITH SONY MUSIC PUBLISHING NASHVILLE

Kinsley has signed a worldwide exclusive publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing Nashville, continuing her momentum as a rising singer/songwriter, following the announcement of her signing to MCA.
 
“Finding a home with Sony Music Publishing feels incredibly special,” shares Kinsley. “This team has quickly become like family to me, and I am beyond thankful for their belief in me.

From growing up in California to learning music on her family’s land in North Carolina, to moving to Texas in high school before eventually settling in Tennessee with her family, each chapter has left its mark on both Kinsley’s perspective and her sound.

Poetry became Kinsley’s creative outlet to process her emotions, laying the foundation for a songwriting style that blends vivid storytelling, poetic lyricism and raw, soulful vocals in a way that resonates deeply with listeners.

In the sweltering Dallas summer of 2019, before the onset of a global pandemic, The Intemperate Sons were born from blood, grit, and a shared obsession with the ghosts of alternative rock’s golden age. The Watson family—Keith on drums, Jake on guitars, and Max on vocals, guitars, and keys—joined forces with longtime friend and bassist Mark Marks to create a sound that’s equal parts searing riffs, haunting harmonies, and unapologetic soul. Think Alice in Chains’ brooding intensity, Stone Temple Pilots’ swagger, and R.E.M.’s poetic undercurrent, all filtered through a ‘70s rock haze that refuses to play it safe.

This isn’t just a band; it’s a family affair, where the unspoken bond between father and sons fuels every chord and lyric. Keith, a Dallas stage veteran, pens lyrics that cut deep—tales of regret, resilience, and the chaos of the human condition. Collaborations with legends like Tony Franklin (Whitesnake, The Firm) on singles like “Running Man” and “Dust to Dust” and Derakh’s production on singles like “Game of Keep Away” and “Dark Day’s Night” featured on their second and highly successful album, Dark Day’s Night (2024) pushed their sound further, blending post-grunge edge with folk and hard rock undercurrents.

I answered that with the arpeggiated guitar line and a rotary effect. From there we knew the chorus should get big and anthemic.”

Tichy continues, “We wrote the bridge for the guitar solo with the intent of taking you on a little majestic trip, away from the repetitive, hypnotic nature of the rest of the song. When I started making the Led By Vultures record, Derek brought Waves up as a contender. I instantly agreed and re-recorded it. It’s nice to have seen this song through! The video was shot at El Matador Beach in Malibu by Keita Hagiwara, who also shot the second Led By Vultures video, “Massivity.” We ended up with an overcast day but I think in the end it worked out.”

Weathers Drop New Single "Antidote" And Official Music Video via Big Machine Rock

Alt-rock powerhouse Weathers have released their latest banger "Antidote" and the official video. Prior to today, the band dropped "Happy Pills (Higher Dose)", breathing new life into the fan-favorite track "Happy Pills" (via Big Machine Rock). Speaking about the inspiration behind their release, the band shared:

“‘Antidote’ reflects personal experiences with having too much fun to the point of going off the rails. And then finding yourself unable to help yourself, therefore needing someone to help pick you back up even though you’ve hurt them during your downward spiral. We realized early on that the demo of this song captured a sense of vulnerability that couldn’t be recreated leading to most of the song being the original cuts including the vocals.”

Fans will have their chance to see the quartet tear up the stage across the US alongside alt-pop duo VOILÀ and Ella Red, on the theatrically immersive 'Moonbloom' tour, featuring aerial acts, sword swallowers, magicians, and jugglers. The tour kicks off on Tuesday, October 27 in Los Angeles, California at The Fonda, with No Love For The Middle Child joining the lineup for that evening only (ticket info here). ABOUT WEATHERS

Southern California-based alternative rock band Weathers — lead singer/frontman Cameron Boyer, guitarist Cameron Olsen and bassist Brennen Bates — have been consistently creating finely crafted introspective pop songs heavily inspired by the counter-culture of the 80s and 90s since forming in 2015. The band makes music that speaks to those among us who tend to forget that, regardless of outward appearances, everyone is struggling with something and that no one is alone. Weathers’ story is a tale of growing up, of coming into one’s own, and includes themes of depression or anxiety and the often difficult maintenance of mental health.

They first grabbed listeners' attention with 2016's "Happy Pills," which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Initially, vocalist Boyer and guitarist Olsen met in 2012 while attending a battle of the bands in the Los Angeles suburb of Manhattan Beach. By 2015, they had formed Weathers, recruiting bassist Bates. Signing with RCA Records, they released their debut single, "I Don't Wanna Know," a swaggeringly moody song that drew comparisons to Walk the Moon and The Neighbourhood. Fans followed, and in March 2016 they landed a slot at SXSW. Their follow-up single, "Happy Pills," garnered the band even more attention, becoming the most added track to rock radio in July 2016. In 2018, they issued the Kids in the Night EP, featuring the single "1983."

Outlier have officially signed with Oxide Records and are wasting no time making their arrival known with the release of their new single and music video, "Digital Hell." The track serves as both a warning and a wake-up call, tackling society's growing dependence on technology and the invisible grip it has on modern life.

Written by Lambert alongside co-producer Jesse Frasure, David Garcia, Waylon Payne and Ashley Monroe, “Sunset Marquis” is an homage to the iconic West Hollywood hotel that has long served as a creative refuge for musicians, actors and artists alike. Floating on a breezy, ’70s-inspired groove, the song captures the timeless allure of a place “where time stands still... where the stars come out and the music’s loud,” inviting listeners to slip away into its unmistakable atmosphere.
 
“I've been staying at the Sunset Marquis for close to 20 years,” shares Lambert. “Every time I'm there, you never know who you’re going to run into or what kind of memories you’re going to make. It has this timeless energy that feels like stepping into another era. When we wrote this song, I wanted listeners to be able to close their eyes and feel like they were there with us – to see it, smell it and experience the magic that’s made the Sunset Marquis such a special place for so many years.”
 
Released alongside the song is an official visualizer that brings the track’s nostalgic energy to life, featuring Lambert in a Cat O’Nine bodysuit with a gleaming vintage red convertible bathed in vibrant neon light as she channels the timeless glamour, romance and late-night mystique of the legendary hideaway that inspired the song.
 
“Sunset Marquis” also extends beyond the album, appearing in the forthcoming documentary If These Walls Could Rock, available to stream on digital platforms beginning next Friday, Aug. 14.
 
The song joins the previously released title track plus “Till The Going’s Gone” and GRAMMY-nominated duet “A Song To Sing” with Chris Stapleton in previewing Crisco. Produced by Lambert and Frasure, the forthcoming album celebrates the many worlds that have always existed within country music as it nods to the genre’s shared history with disco music. Across 12 tracks, Lambert explores heartbreak and hope, highways and honky-tonks, rhinestones and roller skates, creating a record that feels both timeless and refreshingly alive while embracing every side of the artist fans have come to love: the storyteller, the wanderer, the romantic, the troublemaker, the traditionalist and the dreamer.

Gavin Adcock Releases Anthem for the “Workin’ Man”

As he prepares for his third studio album in three years, The Day I Hang It Up, due October 2, Adcock arrives today with an anthem for the “Workin’ Man.” Listen Below.
 
Written by Gavin Adcock, Luke Laird and Jimi Bell, “Workin’ Man” equates the dedication and discipline required for a hard day’s work to a dependable love.
 
“This song is for working people. The kind of people who put in long hours, take pride in what they do and make time for the people they love,” remarks Adcock. “My fans live that life. They work hard all week and come to our shows ready to have a good time. It’s also about knowing what you deserve. If somebody isn’t treating you right, there’s someone else out there who will. Built around the clever twist of its title, "All Heaven Broke Loose" flips a familiar phrase into something entirely its own. As Nichols sings about watching someone drive away, the song steadily trades heartbreak for healing, landing on a realization that echoes throughout the chorus: sometimes losing what you thought you wanted is exactly what leads you where you're meant to be. By the final chorus, lyrics like "I found me when I lost you" reveal a story that's less about the end of a relationship than the beginning of a new chapter.

"This song is about the last year of my life. It's been one crazy roller coaster of emotions. I signed my record deal, lost a relationship and had to figure out who I was on the other side of it. Looking back now, I can honestly say what felt like the worst thing that could've happened ended up making room for some of the best things. I hope anyone who's walking through heartbreak can hear this song and realize there's life after goodbye. Sometimes all heaven really does break loose," says Nichols.
