The song is the second track to be released from the band's highly anticipated eighth full-length studio album, Obscured Horizons, which will be released worldwide on September 18 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

Following the acclaimed first single, "Lament For The Hollow," "Existing To Expire" offers another powerful glimpse into what is shaping up to be THE ETERNAL's most immersive and definitive work to date. “'I, Scvlptor' is a new Behemoth song rooted in the tradition of monumental tracks like 'O Father O Satan O Sun!', 'Lucifer' or 'Nieboga Czarny Xiądz', while at the same time opening a new chapter. It carries that epic weight but also takes an unexpected turn that makes it feel fresh and different from the previous pieces. Lyrically, it is a metaphor for the endless process of shaping oneself - an uneven struggle with matter and personal limitations. The paradox is that from the moment we are born we are already destined to die, so perhaps it is not about victory itself, but about the constant act of sculpting who we are”.
 
'I, Scvlptor', which will be out 04 September 2026, is an exclusive release featuring eight previously unreleased songs - seven new studio recordings and one live track. "With 'New Moon Rising On Florence,' we wanted to capture a sound that is entirely authentic and recognizable to the Drown In Sulphur name," the band shares. "Following our recent lineup changes, we entered a period of deep reflection. We knew we needed a change—a return to something rawer and more grounded in our origins, yet adapted for the modern era. We stripped back the symphonic layers to let the pure, unfiltered aggression take over. The result is a track that feels incredibly organic and devastating."

They continue: "Thematically, this song and the wider EP dive deep into esoteric, biblical, and dystopian contexts, heavily intertwining Masonic references. It all revolves around the mythological figure of the 'Strix'—the ancient nocturnal bird of ill omen. Florence becomes the backdrop for this dark ritual, signaling a new, rebellious vision of the world where ancient horrors resurface in modern times."

With Strix, Drown In Sulphur delivers a desperate and focused body of work born out of a renewed hunger for reinvention. The upcoming EP leaves behind traditional symphonic tropes to deliver a sound driven by raw energy and complex, occult storytelling—blurring the lines between theological dread and sonic violence.

SAVE US to Release "Death To Something" on 10/16; Band Shares Video for Title Track

Transcontinental trio SAVE US — Miguel Owls [vocals], Chris Biddiscombe[guitar], and Benji Havercroft [drums] — will release their new album Death To Something on October 16 via Solid State Records. Pre-order the album, produced by Landon Tewers, here.

"'Death To Something' was the last song we wrote with Landon, and it ended up giving the record its name. Lyrically, it was inspired by my newborn son," says Owls. "The message is simple but powerful: Sometimes there has to be a death to your old life in order to build a better one for the people you love. On this track, I dive into the struggles and hardships of my past, and how I had to finally cut the ties that kept weighing me down. It's raw, personal, and honestly one of the most meaningful songs I've ever written."

The origin story of SAVE us and how the globally-based band came together is quite simple. Back in 2023, Owls was regularly posting covers on social media and quietly cultivating a following online. Hailing from the Central Valley of California, he never expected to find his future bandmates in his DMs. Bristol, UK-based Biddiscombe stumbled upon one of the vocalist's Architects covers and sent a message on TikTok. Clicking right away, they commenced creating music (despite over 5,000 miles between them). Due to a factory day job from 1pm-9:30pm, Owls typically woke up at 5am in order to write with Chris and Benji before work. Prior to meeting in-person, the trio had remotely recorded a few tracks. Eventually, the singer crossed the pond to shoot the visual for "Distance" from their LUCID EP. Reacting with listeners, the track clocked north of 2.6 million Spotify streams. The group maintained their momentum with 2024's EXIST EP. A year later, they inked a deal with Solid State and decamped to Michigan where they recorded with sought-after producer and The Plot In You mastermind Landon Tewers.

Ultimately, the band's name reflects their shared experience.

"Chris and Benji were both ready to stop doing music," Owls reveals. "I was in the same boat. We were all on the edge of letting our dreams go. Out of nowhere, we found each other, went all the way in together, and the band genuinely saved us. We're always dabbling in emotion, so our goal is to reach you on a human level."

Mission accomplished on Death To Something, which in all actuality, brought the band members back to life.

Motionless In White Share Video for "R.I.P." (Feat. Skylar Grey)

The video was directed by Jensen Noen, who also lensed the "Werewolf" and "Sign Of Life" videos.

The track evokes the power of a lover's lament inscribed on a headstone. Piano twinkles through the haze of funereal synths, where the dual male-femal vocals entwine on an epic chorus boosted by soaring harmonies. It's everything you want, love, and expect from Motioneless In White.

"Skylar's voice brought it to another level that I never could have achieved on my own," says singer Chris Motionless. "I really love the lyrics for this song. Even though I wrote it through a romantic lens, I love that it can be applied to any moment in your life when you've had a falling out with someone you deeply care about, whether that's a best friend, family member, or romantic partner."

He continues, "The song really hones in on the deafening silence that follows after you've said hurtful things to one another that you wish you could take back. It's meant to capture the tension that exists in that quiet space of separation. You want to apologize and make things right, but you don't know how. You want to tell them you love them more than anything and can't live without them, but there's a lot of pain on both sides that has to be confronted first. All the while, you're left with the crippling uncertainty of whether the relationship can ever recover and move forward, or if it's destined to be laid to rest and gone forever."

Decades features several high-profile and eclectic guest appearances. In addition to Taylor, Sklyar Grey, and Dark Divine's Anthony Martinez also feature on the album. The band recorded Decades in Upstate New York and Los Angeles with co-producers Drew Fulk and Justin "JD" deBlieck and ultimately incorporated their past, present, and future sounds into one cohesive sound. This is Motionless at their very best.

"We were never afraid to take risks," observes Chris. "This band has not only lasted two decades, but we've also outlasted all of the obstacles we've faced. We're still grinding. No matter how far we expand the universe that is Motionless In White, we're going to preserve the heart, soul, and roots of where we came from. We are never going to abandon heartfelt, emotional, and heavy songs. We are never going to abandon what mattered to us the most when we started. We're finding new ways to emphasize those stories with exciting sounds and looks, but the vision is the same. It's always been this grand, dramatic, and theatrical entity. I'm proud we haven't gotten comfortable."

He finishes, "Decades is definitely heavier than some of our past albums. Our current world bred more aggressive energy, anger, and resistance."

Since their formation in 2018, Brand of Sacrifice have built a world around a lethal combination of force and feeling. Across every era, their sound has carried the feeling of standing at the edge of something enormous, where beauty, violence, grief, and transformation all collide in the same frame. With the two new tracks released today, Brand of Sacrifice reconnect with the atmosphere and emotion of early releases The Interstice, their 2019 debut EP, and their 2021 Billboard-charting, Juno-nominated sophomore album Lifeblood. The result is a continuation of the band’s formative instincts: visceral heaviness, cinematic unease and emotional immediacy, sharpened through the force and command of the band they have become.

“Seeing Red,” sees the band come out swinging with one of their most direct and overwhelmingly brutal tracks to date. Built for devastating impact, the track is arguably one of the heaviest in the band’s catalog but underneath the brutality is something more human. The track speaks to the desperate search for agency when everything feels unstable, turning the guttural chaos of the music into something listeners can connect to on an emotional level.

Its companion, “This Place Wasn’t Meant For Us,” leans into the band’s gift for atmosphere and tension. Hauntingly eerie, cinematic, and slow-burning before the earth finally gives way, the track pulls the listener deeper into the darker, moodier sonic world-building side of Brand of Sacrifice.

Speaking on the new singles, vocalist Kyle Anderson shares:

“Seeing Red” and “This Place Wasn’t Meant For Us” mark an incredible moment for us as our first new material since 2023. While these songs push Brand of Sacrifice forward, they also reconnect with elements of our past, drawing inspiration from the atmosphere and emotion of The Interstice and our sophomore release Lifeblood. We wanted to strip things back and focus on something more visceral, and honest while capturing a sense of nostalgia without simply repeating ourselves. ONLY ECHOES return with “So Tightly Bound,” the latest single from their forthcoming full-length album Born Adrift, due out August 14, 2026 on Braeburn Records.

A cinematic and emotionally charged instrumental piece, “So Tightly Bound” moves with the urgency of a high-stakes escape sequence. Built around an anxious opening act, a climactic surge, and a triumphant final stretch, the track captures a sense of danger without surrendering to despair. There is a sinister undertone woven through its atmosphere, but the song never loses sight of hope.

For ONLY ECHOES, “So Tightly Bound” has held a unique place in the band’s writing process. As an instrumental band, song titles often remain fluid, shifting as compositions evolve through rehearsal, performance, and rewriting. This track, however, has carried the same name from the day it was written.

“This song is the only one that has never gone through a name change,” the band says. “As an instrumental band, we have a lot of freedom to change song titles at any time, and we often do after songs have gone through significant changes through playing and rewriting. This one, however, was called “So Tightly Bound” from the day that it was written. It’s just the right name.”

The band continues: “It does have a bit of a sinister undertone, but it never loses hope. If this was a movie, this song would be the part where our hero is captured and battles his way out to make a daring escape. After the anxious first act and the climactic escape, this song ends very triumphantly and keeps its eyes on the horizon.”

With “So Tightly Bound,” ONLY ECHOES offer a striking preview of Born Adrift, a record shaped by movement, tension, release, and the search for something beyond the present moment.

Built to ignite the moshpits, the track is a heavy, relentless anthem that perfectly captures the band's signature brand of unified chaos. But beneath the roaring guitars and explosive energy lies a deeply resonant message of defiance and equality.

"The lyrics of 'Hang The Choir' were written in the wake of the story of Jacky Roozen," comment John Coffey. "An inspiring story of a woman who was prohibited from swimming topless in a public swimming pool after having her breasts removed out of precaution. Basically, a top hurts, so not wearing one makes sense. She stood her ground and spoke up for her right not to be judged, and her story reached the general public, earning her the recognition she deserves and support from countless people. Striving for change and equality can (and usually does) meet severe resistance. Being different is often seen as a threat, with exclusion as the consequence. There are no more supposed witches at the stake. Metalheads are not automatically evil anymore. But there’s always someone who's gonna be picked out as a scapegoat or refused for who they are. Just because the prevailing social norm demands it. Maybe we all know one."

Brutally Delicious announces the release of its first original heavy metal audio drama, a 22-minute immersive production that merges narrative storytelling with the intensity and atmosphere of extreme metal.

The story follows a group of teenagers who discover a 19th century Victrola containing a hidden Latin incantation. When spoken, the phrase activates the device, transporting them into the world of whatever song is playing. Each track becomes a fully realized environment, where the characters must navigate hostile, shifting realities and survive until the music ends.

Failure is not an option. If the song finishes before they escape, they do not return.

The production features voice performances from members of Cruachan, Melechesh, and Caster Volor, bringing authentic metal presence and vocal intensity directly into the narrative. Each performance helps shape the tone and identity of the worlds the characters are pulled into, blurring the line between soundtrack and story.

Written, recorded, and produced by Bruce Moore of Brutally Delicious, the project draws from metal’s deep thematic roots, mythology, history, and existential tension, while presenting them in a cinematic, story-driven format.

Audio mixing and foley by Annabelle Kyle create a dense, immersive soundscape that places the listener inside the environment, while visuals by Noah Riopel extend the experience beyond audio, offering a surreal and evolving visual counterpart to the narrative.

The result is a hybrid of audio drama and metal experience that pushes beyond traditional genre boundaries.

Mixwave Teams Up With Guitar Phenom Yvette Young For Plug In

MIXWAVE, the boutique plugin company founded in 2021, is known for meticulous, artist-driven re-creations of real hardware developed directly with each artist to capture the exact gear that defines their sound. Previous partnerships include Sleep Token and Spiritbox.

Today, the company is pleased to announce it has partnered with guitar virtuoso Yvette Young for an exclusive plugin.

Young is also a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and visual artist widely regarded as one of the defining guitar voices of her generation. Frontwoman of math rock band Covet. She has developed her signature fingerstyle and two-handed tapping from a classical foundation in piano and violin. She also earned a BFA from UCLA.

Yvette’s plugin is a complete rig with nine of her favorite effects pedals, plus the amp and cab she has used in the studio and on stage for years.'

It also marks the first time a female guitarist has launched her own plugin.

SEA SLEEPER Unleashes New Single “Lunar Degenerates” from Forthcoming Album Burden of Antlers

Heavy, atmospheric, and built for maximum neck damage, SEA SLEEPER return with their new single, “Lunar Degenerates,” the latest preview of their forthcoming sophomore album, Burden of Antlers, set for release on September 18, 2026.

“Lunar Degenerates” captures the band at their most visceral and dynamic, fusing classic crunchy, bang-your-head riffage with the expansive progressive weight that has become a defining part of SEA SLEEPER’s sound. The track also leans into the band’s long-running Mastodon influence, particularly the Crack the Skye-esque textures that have surfaced across both of their albums.

Miscreance Announce Second Album Reminiscence

Fashioned in high-top sneakers and sleeveless band tees, Northern Italy’s Miscreance proudly reflect the old-school spirit. Upon debuting with Season of Mist in 2022, the band were likened by the press to Death, Sadus, Voivod and other undying greats from the alternate timeline that is the history of extreme metal. But their upcoming second LP isn’t just another blast from the past.

Today, Miscreance are announcing their new album, Reminiscence, with a chilling music video for its lead single “Scalp Ceremony”. The band continue to pound and shred at a blood-thirsty pace, but as they cut through its  unfamiliar passages, the song ventures into dark and strange new territory for the genre.

“Through a collective hallucination, a voyage through time led us to discover a moment in human history that was lost”, Miscreance says about the far-out path they took to Reminiscence. “This album is a testimony of what we have seen, heard, perceived and imagined, told through our own perspective on old-school, thrashy, technical death metal”.

Even extreme and obscene artists like Miscreance are well-versed in the classics. With its creepy, cultish, handcam video, underground tape collectors will feel at home watching “Scalp Ceremony”. “We still play old-school tech-thrash”, assures guitarist Andrea Granauro. But while faithful to both Atheist and Dark Angel,  Reminiscence isn’t an attempt to recall metal’s glory days. With each sharp and fast turn that the band take during their new single, the genre’s signposts warp until they’re  unrecognizable.    

“No one ever even sees it comes”, growls drummer Andrea Feltrin with murderous delight. For their final sacrifice on “Scalp Ceremony”, Miscreance bang the long-haired heads of their captive audience with a flurry of bongos.

While recorded in Italy, Miscreance discovered the concept for Reminiscence by sifting through the sands of time. Along with splintering riffs and trippy tempo shifts, the band uncovered a hidden world where jungle-dwelling hunters and digeridoo coexist with strange tongues, telepathic surgeries and a burning celestial corpse. As imagined by Iranian artist Mona Shiraz, the album’s cover art is a modern interpretation of the kind of painting that was all the rage during the Stone Age.

“We are all very happy with how our first album turned out but we wanted to go bigger by tying Reminiscence to a specific concept”, guitarist Tommaso Cappelletti says.

Bassist Jean-Claude Rossignol explains further. “What we’ve created is a ‘lost album’, sent from an unknown civilization that’s both futuristic and extremely primitive. Through psychic powers and capabilities that transcend earthly comprehension, these primordial extraterrestrials have achieved total neural unity. Yet innate wickedness still lures inside of them, harboring the need for preys, scalps and lust”.

The video for “Scalp Ceremony” was created by Tulpa Studio in Ferrara, Italy.

While recorded in Italy, Miscreance discovered the concept for Reminiscence by sifting through the sands of time. “You’ve never known the face of death / But now it becomes yours”, Feltrin growls amidst the many peaks hidden within “Oracle’s Rift”. As the band tear through a torturous passage with ruthless precision, the last thing you see – or hear – is death metal’s future mutating right before our eyes.

Legendary Hard Rockers TESLA Unveil New Single "Never Alone" + Official Music Video

Today, the acclaimed American hard rock band TESLA is proud to unveil their new single, "Never Alone," taken from their upcoming album, 'Homage,' set for release on July 17, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl. Marking a full-circle moment in their storied career, the album finds the band returning to their roots with a collection of covers honoring some of rock’s most timeless hits.

On the creation of the new original track, Brian Wheat shares:

"'Never Alone' is a new song that we wrote in the 11th hour of recording the album 'Homage.' It started out as a simple guitar riff. I was at my friends Rachael Ray and John Cusimano's house filming an episode for her TV show, I had some time to kill so I went into their studio in the house, picked up John’s acoustic guitar and started strumming these chords to kill some time. When I listened back to it, it sounded like a TESLA song. I thought maybe it was gonna be a song for one of my other projects, but it sounded like TESLA. So I sent it to Jeff and he said it’s definitely TESLA. Out of that he came up with the title 'Never Alone,' we worked on it together writing the lyrics, the music, switching the chorus around a little bit and as a result, I think it turned out pretty good. I hope you enjoy it. This is our new song 'Never Alone' because we’re never alone."

It is remarkable to reflect on the more than 40 years since TESLA began as a cover band performing in California nightclubs before going on to write and record original material and sell millions of albums.

Much like their musical heroes — The Beatles and The Rolling Stones—artists who honed their craft by performing songs from those who came before them, TESLA followed a similar path in their early years and continues to embrace the tradition of paying tribute through cover songs today.

‘Homage,’ the band’s upcoming album, not only honors legendary artists but also provides an opportunity to showcase lead singer Jeff Keith's vocal diversity. The album stands as a thank-you expressed through music, an offering to the iconic voices and songs that shaped the band’s influences and, ultimately, their own songwriting. 

'Homage' is not about imitation, but acknowledgment, tracing the line from influence to identity, from listening to becoming. The project also arrives more than 20 years after the ‘Real to Reel’ series, a release that helped inspire the creation of a new original TESLA song, “Never Alone.”

The selected songs on 'Homage' were chosen for a variety of reasons, primarily representing some of the greatest vocalists of all time, including Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke, David Ruffin, Etta James, and James Brown. Additional selections reflect songs the band grew up hearing on the radio and on their turntables.

On the upcoming album, TESLA shares:

"Our new album 'Homage' is a thank-you note written in sound. An offering to the great singers and songs that shaped the music we grew up listening to, and the songs we would eventually write.
