Supreme Unbeing release new single “Scarecrow” for Halloween

SUPREME UNBEING is an elusive5-piece metal band shrewd in mystery. Led by vocalist Zac Red, who taps into the depths of the human psyche to unfold paramount messages for the benefit of mankind, accompanied by his most terrifying thoughts: The Demon, The Shadow, The Nightmare & The Legend.  The band is about to scare the public in time for Halloween through tricky riffs and spooky lyrics!

Often presenting itself as a demon in your dreams or a shadow in the night, the scarecrow stirs up your own beliefs and nurtures your most horrifying fantasies. With+7 million views combined on YouTube for the most popular track 'Animals' (2020), which featured ex-Megadeth bassist David Ellefson (in a cartoon render), and the tracks 'Face Of Evil' (2021), 'Hide The Beast' (2021), 'Savior' (2022) all featuring Swedish actor Dragomir Mrsic (known from Snabba Cash, and Edge Of Tomorrow, co-starred along Tom Cruise).  Supreme Unbeing continues their tradition of visualizing their music in a cinematic, action-filled, fashion. This time by partnering with G13 Production House, who have produced recent videos for the likes of Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, Behmoth, Kreator and many more, to capture the horrifying essence of the scarecrow.

The video, filmed in an actual abandoned laboratory in Wroclaw, Poland which was used during WW2 in thought-control experiments, may scare the living guts out of us all as we get to revisit the mad scientist who tried to create the perfect demon.

London alternative-psychedelic rock artist Sabatta has released his new single 'Get Over Yourself', an ode to the obliviously self-important and the second taste of his new album 'How To Get Even’ (out on November 17 via Blackfriars Entertainment) with a video that introduces the unique guitar - The Pick! Aka AfroGuitar!

‘Get Over Yourself' deals with ‘build em up, break em down’ celebrity culture via a barrage of grimy riffs, pumping bass and pounding drums.This relentless rocker is anchored by a heavy and hypnotic chorus, which backs the vocal mantra of the track’s title! Also included is a shredfest solo, as ferocious as a social media comment section! Beware, no one is safe, as the saying goes ‘the internet is undefeated!’

Revolving around guitarist and songwriter Yinka Oyewole, who was raised in Essex and is of Nigerian lineage, Sabatta crafts a raw and individual sound with spiky guitar and an inimitable voice, like a mix of Hendrix, QOTSA and early Red Hot Chili Peppers strained through the sieve of South London. And it's no wonder with musical influences ranging from Curtis Mayfield, Prince, Tupac and Hendrix to Bad Brains, Thin Lizzy, Parliament / Funkadelic and Black Sabbath.

"Inspiration for ‘Get Over Yourself’ came from the current thirst for fallen idols. The album's lead single ''Get Your Shit Together' is a wake up call to the masses. A funkadelic groove-laden track that is as addictive as it is memorable, the video for ‘Get Your Shit Together’ explores what happens when the opposing sides of our conscience come to life.

Yinka Oyewole says "this is the most cohesive and free Sabatta album I’ve produced. It’s also the most raw and unfiltered. I love storytelling, I love guitar playing, I love grooves. And I love being my own person, even if that's seen as rebellious or contrary, on the new album I’m just being me."

Yinka Oyewole began making noise with Sabatta's debut album 'Middle Of the Night', released in 2015. With their sound, being compared to Hendrix and QOTSA, but  with an edge like Bad Brains and The Clash, the album’s lead single 'Politician'garnered national play on BBC 6 Music, setting the band off touring nationally.

As of October 27, ‘Get Over Yourself’ will be available across digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. Sabatta's album 'How To Get Even’ will be released on Friday, November 17.

Windy City Singer/Songwriter Katie Kadan Releases 'Christmas in Chicago'

Chicago’s very own, Katie Kadan, who rose to fame as a finalist on Season 17 of the hit TV show “The Voice,” is ready to charm the world once again with the release of her original holiday track, “Christmas in Chicago,” available today. Listen to “Christmas in Chicago” Below.

GAUPA RELEASE VIDEO FOR 'MOLOKEN (LIVE AT MONKEY MOON STUDIOS)'

Swedish progressive psychedelic rock band GAUPA has released a video for new digital single, 'Moloken (Live At Monkey Moon Studios)'. It's an excerpt from an intimate studio session the band played in late May 2023. Following their much-lauded appearances at both Desertfest London and Desertfest Berlin, GAUPA went to Monkey Moon Recordings in Dortmund, Germany and recorded three songs live over the course of an afternoon, 'Moloken' from their critically acclaimed most recent album Myriad as well as a breathtakingly intense 11-minute joint version of their songs 'Sömnen' and 'Febersvan', the former also from Myriad, the latter taken off of GAUPA's self-titled first EP. You can listen to the full session at all digital streaming services.

On the track, the band goes from 0 to 60 and they stay there. It's a high energy hard rocker with potent, pop punk vibes. It will remind you of your favorite '00s Warped Tour bands, but with a modern edge.

 "This song is about seeing someone disappear into themselves as they pass on, and the feeling of hopelessness you get from being little to no help for them, only as an emotional tourniquet of sorts," the band explains.

Regarding the album as a whole, the band sees it as a catalyst with which to directly connect with fans. "I want people to actually be able to relate to the music and identify," Damien says. "It's the same way I felt my favorite artists spoke for me." Alternately categorized as cult synth punks, glam-leaning, post-punk, art-rock and muscular chamber pop, Tulipomania isTom Murray(lead vocals, synthesizer, electronic percussion) andCheryl Gelover (synthesizer, background vocals), who first began their collaboration through projects for experimental film and animation classes.  The duo now known as Tulipomania has evolved from those experiences.

"Memory is malleable – the song explores mutability. Lyrically, it's an internal struggle  – sonically it projects that energy into the external world.Catharsis. Of course, the effectiveness of that strategy is debatable – that's the fun of it for those who can appreciate the irony – "knock yourself out". We do however believe the ultimate failure is apathy – never give up – the stakes are too high," saysCheryl Gelover.

Earlier, the duo released the album's lead track 'You Had to Be There', followed by a remix by UK music legend Martyn Ware (Heaven 17,  The Human League) and Charles Stooke, which is featured on WIRE Magazine’s cover-mounted Wiretapper CD compilation for October.

Its animated music video, featuring lip sync, original and vintage footage shot frame by frame, collaged on sheets of black paper - is an official selection at the CutOut Fest International festival of animation and digital art this November in Mexico. The ‘Dreaming of Sleep’ album sees the duo heavily immersed in electronic means of creation. With cover artwork by Michael Speed, senior designer at Beggars Group London, this record involves Executive Producer Howard Thompson, renowned for his contributions as a record industry executive (Elektra, Island, Almo Sounds), having discovered and/or worked with Adam and the Ants, Billy Bragg, MC5, Mötorhead, PiL, Psychedelic Furs, Robyn Hitchcock, The Sugarcubes, Suicide, among others.

Described as ‘artistic and inventive’ and ‘gorgeous', Tulipomania's animated music videos have been featured in film festivals worldwide. Numerous such festivals have already showcased this new video as an official selection, including the Leeds International Film Festival (UK), StopTrik (Croatia, Poland), AniFilm (Czech Republic), Insomnia (Russia) and Malatesta (Italy) with the Montreal International Animation Film Festival - Animaze awarding it an Honorable Mention.

Tulipomania also created animated music videos - 'Hush' and 'Shock To The Body' - for Cabaret Voltaire founder / frontman Stephen Mallinder in support of his solo album 'tick, tick, tick' (out now via Dais Records).

As of October 26, 'Then and Only Then’ is available everywhere, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. On November 17, the full 'Dreaming of Sleep' album will be released on CD, vinyl and digitally. It can be pre-ordered via Bandcamp.

SKELETAL REMAINS Announces New Album, Shares Cannibalistic Music Video for New Single, "Void of Despair"

American death metal purveyors SKELETAL REMAINS will be releasing their brand new full-length, 'Fragments of the Ageless,' via Century Media Records on March 8, 2024! To celebrate the forthcoming opus, the band is now unleashing the first vicious attack from the new offering! The brutalizing new single, "Void of Despair," can be found along with a cannibalistic music video, directed by Dillon Vaughn, below.

The band comments: “We are very proud to present our first single entitled ‘Void of Despair!' Inspired by the true horrors of the many men lost at sea, who after depleting all of their resources and food, turned to cannibalism for survival. We gave the old stories our own twist by having the crew set on a ship lost in the eternal void of deep space. The aggression and spastic riffs swirling throughout the song perfectly express the feeling to an endless losing battle of sanity and starvation, thus succumbing to their demise. We hope you enjoy!"

Pre-orders and additional album details for 'Fragments of the Ageless' will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, the single is now available for streaming on all services HERE.

Portland-based music mavericks Sky Lions present their animated video for 'Werewolves' with animalistic flavour, lifted from their recently released debut album 'Inside The Circle'. This nine-track offering presents a powerful blend of post-punk with alternative and hard rock.

Made up of Radio Sloan and Outer Stace, Sky Lions is a project with roots that trace back to when the two met as children at a summer day camp in Oregon. Beginning to play music together in their mid-teens, the two enjoy an almost psychic ability to communicate with one another musically, creating music that inspires them and is inspired by one another's vibrancy during the writing process, the world around them, and trust in each other’s vision.  

"Werewolves, in part, is about the idea of shifting from our outer selves to our inner selves, the fleeting peace that can bring; transformation and adaptation...So, the art direction possibilities were pretty endless. It was a lot of fun to create the different versions of ourselves that we could be. Also, I love to find creative tech and new tools. So, discovering the tools along with what is now a growing process, was so fun. I guess I'd say that the video, like the album, is a basement born exercise in artist freedom," says Outer Stace.

"It's like a metamorphic reality of death and the future. It feels like things we've seen," says Radio Sloan. "Our sound is that of accepting existence for all its flaws. Sky Lions has a darkness that isn't entirely heavy metal, post-punk or darkwave. Rather, it’s a culmination of who we have been, who we currently are, and how we interpret the world around us. Moving within that world is the core of our musical expression.

From early days experimenting with instruments to their evolution into Sky Lions, they've carved a niche where innovation, music, feminism, Trans/queer identity and horror come together. Sky Lions weaves together the threads of life's absurdity, unquestionable magic and tragedy. Their trans / queer / feminist lens adds a relatability of lives lived and times to come, creating an immersive sonic journey that challenges the mind and ears. Through genre-blurring compositions and evocative lyrics, they hope to channel their ethos into a call for transformation ! They hope that their songs challenge stereotypes, and ignite conversation.

"Neither of us have worked so hard on a musical project in our lives. Life does what life will do, and while we started out making music together as teenagers, our paths took different turns in our adult lives, though we never lost touch. Radio is a prolific songwriter and I will write on anything with a surface when a lyric comes to mind. Together, we decided it was time to make what we wanted to make and how we wanted to make it," says Outer Stace.

"The expectations of others were not a consideration for us when we recorded this album. It was an exorcism, a purging of sounds and words we had not previously had the capacity for, as it is such a complex project. Today, we are ready and have poured our love, freely expressed ideas and the deepest parts of our souls into the writing, production, artwork for this record."

While half of the genre bending, post-punk art rock queercore duo The Need, Radio Sloan also has a colorful history that includes being the guitarist in Courtney Love’s touring band The Chelsea, and also in Scarling and Peaches' live band The Herms. While releasing music as a solo artist, Radio Sloan has also been involved in numerous other artists' projects, including contributing guitar for Le Tigre, co-writing for The Transfused and composing music for soundtracks and scores, including 'The Herstory of Riot Grrrl'.

Apart from Sky Lions, Outer Stace is known to many as the vocalist for Portland electro-rock / gothic / post-punk band Photona and synth-drum duo Time Bitch.

Hailing from Germany, Marv Wilder and Phil Bayer found common ground by talking about their childhood influences, namely Peter Gabriel, U2, and Sting. With the vision in mind to fuse a fresh pop x rock sound with the aesthetics of EDM and world music, the pair set out to showcase something fresh and new.

After the successful launch of the single "The Hymn," the song was featured in an official AFL game between Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs on Australian Television, marking quite the achievement for such a new act.

FOLTERKAMMER Signs with Century Media, Unveils BDSM Inspired New Song, "Das Peitschengedicht"

Operatic black metal rising stars FOLTERKAMMER are proud to announce that they have signed a deal with Century Media Records! To celebrate this new union, the band is now sharing a BDSM inspired new single, "Das Peitschengedicht," which celebrates the female empowerment of whip-wielding Femdoms. The powerful new song can be found along with a lyric video, which was created by Folterkammer drummer and video director Brendan McGowan, below.

The single is taken from the band's forthcoming album, which serves as a counterpart to their 2020 debut, 'Die Lederpredigt.' The new record is another searing blend of modern black metal and classical music elements, lending to its Avant Garde sound. The music itself is elevated by frontwoman and vocalist Andromeda Anarchia's dynamic vocal work as she juxtaposes her classical training as an opera singer with her hellfire screams, summoning a maelstrom of ethereal chaos. Speaking on the empowering themes of the new single and forthcoming record, Andromeda Anarchia eloquently explains, "This song is our kinky ode to the whip as a torture instrument, and a celebratory hymn to the practices of BDSM, particularly, Femdom. The whip, a symbol of domination, pain and humiliation, is described here not only as playful and kinky, but as a poetic enactment of pain through the depiction of female ferocity on a submissive man, whose back the Domme uses like a canvas.

"It is about this sensual overdrive of stimulation and literally describes the lustful use of a whip as a kind of 'calligraphy brush' to write a poem. The dominatrix verbally humiliates her subject while blood runs down his spine; his blood is the ink with which she paints and signs her artwork of pain and ecstasy.

"The song bridges both musically and thematically the old album (regarding a vicious, violent, and abusive 'Bad Domme' goddess) and the new one (featuring a badass, erotic 'Good Domme'). This opens a new chapter with a change defined not only by the expanded instrumentation and new songwriting styles, but also by the way the described dominant female protagonist treats her subordinates and has refined her skills in humiliation games. It's no longer about being a vicious, exploitative deity, but about being a sensual, naughty, self-confident, kinky lady who knows exactly what she wants, who celebrates female power, who sometimes flirts and cleverly provokes with historical and mythological anecdotes, and even more with her charm and sass.

"This bridging of the debut album and the new album is also reflected in the aesthetics of the video. In the words of our drummer and music video director Brendan McGowan: 'The 'Das Peitschengedicht' video sets the dominating lyrics to footage from the 1922 classic 'Haxan' - whose famous images of devils and demons often overshadow the wicked women within it and their blasphemous behavior.'"

HELFRÓ release soul-stirring second track 'Ildi Óhreins Anda'

Icelandic black metal ensemble HELFRÓ are back with their sophomore album Tálgröf – A project inspired by the dark manifestations of the human mind. The sickness of humankind is explored through intense rhythmic passages, fusing the extremities of traditional death metal together with sombre, introspective lyrical convictions.

The second track 'Ildi Óhreins Anda', meaning Oxygen for the Unclean Spirit in English, a melodic, chugging groove is set while shrieking vocals howl away on humanity's exceptional ability in deceit. The track ultimately culminates in Tálgröf's most destructive sounding drums & supersonic tremolo-picked guitar.

"The lyrics for this song revolve specifically about lying. How lying to others can benefit your cause and help throw people off the trail as you plan to do them harm, and how lying is a right that the manipulator should exercise whenever they can." Says Ragnar. "Lying is the foundation of their success, the „oxygen“ that they breathe to survive."

Formed amidst the haunting landscapes of Iceland, HELFRÓ is a formidable force in the world of blackened death metal. With their relentless aggression, atmospheric soundscapes, and compelling songwriting, they have carved their own path in the metal scene.

The journey of HELFRÓ began when guitarist and songwriter Ragnar Sverrisson sought to bring his musical visions to life, Drawing inspiration from the bleakness of Icelandic winters, the mysticism of nature, and the chaos of the human experience. HELFRÓ's debut album, aptly titled "Helfró", was released in 2020, marking the band's official entry into the world of extreme metal. With a relentless barrage of blast beats, crushing riffs, and haunting melodies, the album showcased their ability to seamlessly blend aggression and atmosphere.

Evolving with the advent of the sophomore album, Tálgröf, listeners can expect even more ferocity as HELFRÓ dives deeper into death metal territory while not straying to far from the signature ice-cold climactic tremolo riffing notable of their previous work. Characterized by its ferocity, the new album also carries introspective and thought-provoking themes, reflecting the band members' willingness to explore the depths of the human experience. Since emerging in 2016, Levels have consistently challenged themselves and the culture of heavy music. Following the 2018 release of the self-titled Levels LP, their signature style evolved across fan favorite singles such as "Encapsulate," "Eon," and "Chauvinist," which amassed over 649K Spotify streams and counting. Along the way, the band performed alongside everyone from VRSTY and Glass Hands to Beartooth, The Devil Wears Prada, Oceano, and more. The band also powered this rise in D.I.Y. fashion, recording, mixing, and producing the songs and shooting and even editing their own videos. During 2023, they entered KonKrete Studios with producer Jonathan Dolese to record new music. The musicians channeled inspirations as diverse as Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, The Prodigy, Poppy, and Static-X in addition to jungle, trance, and house.

Riverside, CA’s rapidly ascending solo artist, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer, GVLLOWhas dropped a brand new video for a new re-recored, remixed and remastered version of fan favorite darkwave track, 'Last Dance'. Watch the new clip Below and stream the remixed, remastered track HERE.

Speaking on the release of his new track, Gvllow shares

"Sad, Melancholy, Romantic. Past trauma, heartbreak, finding my soulmate, losing close friends, dealing with self mortality. These are the themes addressed in "Last Dance". "

GVLLOW released his acclaimed 'Spiritwalker' EP in the Spring of 2021, the release saw his stylistic expansion into post-punk and dark wave. Heavily influenced by by the likes of Drab Majesty, Sisters Of Mercy and Bauhaus, the transition began with highly acclaimed single "Last Dance" from his previous, eponymous full-length and continued with the 'Spiritwalker' EP and his 2022 releases - "Die By Your Hand", "Falling Down", "Not Sorry" and the 'Suffer' EP.

GVLLOW has also announced that he will be hitting the road for his first ever solo headline tour of the US at the end of October. The run will begin on October 27th in Los Angeles and will hit a further 16 cities across the country until culminating in his hometown of Riverside, CA on November 30th. About Gvllow

GVLLOW blends the sonic and visual aesthetics of 80s new wave and southern California punk rock mixed with the beach sounds of Dick Dale and The Beach Boys to create a sound that is fresh, diverse and completely unique. Born and raised in Riverside, California, he grew up in the SoCal Punk scene. He started playing drums at age nine and would go to The Showcase Theatre in Corona every weekend to watch bands such as Dr Know, TSOL and Narcoleptic Youth.

In 2015, he became involved in the bludgeoning underground rap scene, DJing for the likes of Ghostemane and Lil Peep in Schemaposse. Since then, he has gone on to perform as touring DJ for the likes of City Morgue, as well as release two solo albums; 2018’s “Waste Away” and “Gvllow” released in July of 2020, which features guest appearances from the likes of Travis Barker, Brennan Savage and Jack Grisham (TSOL) and has spawned singles “Fear”, “Johnny Cash” and “Last Dance”.

"War Machine" follows previously released standalone single, “The Ghost of Billy Royalton”, which the band released on the eve of their hugely successful, mostly sold-out Jackpot Juicer headline tour as a tribute to their late bassist and dear friend, Tim Feerick, who tragically passed away last year.
