It is a song about struggle, growth, and the courage it takes to move forward even when the destination is uncertain.

From the opening moments, “New Horizons”immediately establishes an atmosphere that pulls listeners in before exploding into soaring hooks and driving rock energy. The track balances intensity and vulnerability, delivering a sound that feels equally suited for late-night reflection and full volume road trips.

At its core, “New Horizons” is about evolution.

SERPENT LORD Streams New Album via Black Metal Promotion Ahead of Friday's Release

Solo pagan black metal project SERPENT LORD will be releasing its debut album, 'The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,' on May 29, 2026 via Eisenwald Records. The project is now streaming the offering in its entirety ahead of Friday's release via Black Metal Promotion, which can be found below.

SERPENT LORD first slithered into existence in 2003, emerging as a solitary pagan black metal vessel forged by Jake Superchi (UADA, Ceremonial Castings). Though the project's first true album was recorded in 2005, the work was abruptly shelved and lay dormant for twenty years. Now, in the Year of the Snake, the ancient offering has been reborn and reimagined as 'The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,' preserving every note of its primordial conception.

The album was re-recorded in the cold heart of the Pacific Northwest between 2022 and 2025, engineered and mixed by Jake Superchi, and mastered by Arthur Rizk. The release features new artwork and the original logo created by Kris Verwimp, along with photography by Peter Beste.

Pre-orders are now live via the Obsidian Spells Shop (North America), Eisenwald (EU/UK), and Bandcamp (Worldwide).

Originally formed over two decades ago, SERPENT LORD existed largely in the shadows, issuing only a handful of demos before entering an extended period of dormancy. Yet, the creative force behind the project never faded. Ideas, fragments, and compositions endured across the years, shelved for the right moment, only fully taking shape and being realized in the Year of the Snake, when the vision was finally forged into its definitive form.

Early demo material already hinted at what SERPENT LORD would become: a severe balance between melodic grandeur and unrestrained aggression, with transitions between atmosphere and brutality, produced to enhance rather than obscure its intensity.

Founded by Jake Superchi (known for its creative force in UADA and CEREMONIAL CASTINGS), SERPENT LORD channels the spirit of ’90s pagan black metal. The album stands as a triumphant and immersive work - melodic, fierce, and steeped in ritualistic energy. Expansive riffing, evocative passages, and a dynamic interplay between harsh and atmospheric elements, both timeless and fully awakened.

The album was recorded and mixed by Jake Superchi, and mastered by Arthur Rizk, achieving a sound that retains raw edge while delivering clarity and depth. The cover artwork, created by Kris Verwimp, along with photography by Peter Beste, further underscoring the album’s mythical and arcane atmosphere.

With 'The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,' SERPENT LORD emerges from decades of silence with a work that fulfills the promise of its early recordings; it's an album shaped by time, and driven by an uncompromising vision of black metal.

Untitled With Drums Sign to Season of Mist and Share New Single "Matter"

Season of Mist is proud to welcome Untitled With Drums.

To celebrate their signing, Untitled With Drums are releasing a new single. “Matter” pushes the band’s hybrid of alt. rock and ‘90s post-hardcore to greater heights. The song speaks to the almost irrepressible need to exist for oneself, to put oneself above everything else and dominate one's own world. It calls out a reflexive tendency toward conflict and the relentless pursuit of superiority over others, as seen through a pathologically self-centered point of view—a satirical account of feelings we must each confront and tame within ourselves.

Stream “Matter” - Listen below

https://orcd.co/untitledwithdrumsmatter

No strangers to the specialist press or the festival circuit, Untitled With Drums have been together since 2014. The band released their debut album Hollow in 2020, just days before France's first COVID lockdown. Despite the timing, the record drew widespread praise before propelling the band to the stages of Hellfest 2022, the Nuits de Fourviere festival (opening for the Deftones and Baroness), and London's Desertfest. Their signing to Season of Mist marks the next chapter for a band that has spent the intervening years consolidating around their current four-piece lineup and sharpening everything that makes them distinct.

More information about Untitled With Drum’s next album is coming soon.

GORGONAUT Explore Chaos And Disorder In The New Offering "Infinite Regress", Announces EP Ayame

As GORGONAUT prepares to unveil the forthcoming EP Ayame on October 16, 2026, "Infinite Regress" provides a further insight into the textural sonic world building by the Chicago-based solo project.

"Infinite Regress" is the opening offering on the upcoming release and encapsulates the central direction of the EP. Composed with intentional chaos, the instrumental textures and arrangements disorientate with jarring sounds and sudden rhythmic shifts. It evokes a sense of uncertainty and intrigue as to what awaits next.

Musically, the single embodies a loss of control and escalating tension. Aggressive passages alternate with pacified sections in a desperation to make sense of an irrational realm. Opening with chromatic guitar lines, a sense of strain and panic manifests through the music and it repeats in varying forms across the track. Ferocious heavy rhythms and harsh vocals are contrasted with softer moments.

GORGONAUT and the forthcoming EP arose from a desire to continue writing, creating and producing music alongside major life changes. Ayame delves into introspective themes, obsession, loss of control but also of taking future success into one's own hands.

Ayame was produced, mixed and mastered by Ryan Bruchert at Biffco Studios. The EP cover artwork was created by artist Darius Puia @instagram.bakaarts.

About GORGONAUT:

Created by multi-instrumentalist Ryan Bruchert, known for work with BLACK SITES, HEWHOCORRUPTS, TRIALS, CENTAURUS, GORGONAUT serves as a focused creative platform unrestricted by stylistic boundaries. The project combines heavy guitar driven songwriting with electronic textures, atmospheric layering, and digital influences drawn from both metal and contemporary electronic music.

Drawing influence from artists such as DEVIN TOWNSEND, VOLA, VOYAGER, MOON TOOTH, DREAM THEATER, and THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE, GORGONAUT continues to explore the intersection of metal, electronic composition, and immersive sound design while pursuing a distinctly personal creative direction.

Lost In Kyiv Share "Becoming" (Feat. Rebecca Need-Menear of i Häxa, Anavae)

French post-metal band Lost In Kyiv have unveiled their new single "Becoming," featuring haunting guest vocals from Rebecca Need-Menear (i HäxaAnavae). This is the third single released from their new album We're All Going To Be Fine, out June 19 via Pelagic Records.

Watch the video for "Becoming" Below.

Stream and pre-save here.

Tenderness and tension move together as the rising intricacies of electronica and acoustic instrumentation constantly build, support and evolve. Poetry, harmony, heavy peaks and atmospheric passages are sculpted with precision and patience, constantly redefining the energy of the piece whilst keeping the emotional centre, solicitude, a depth of empathetic feeling that permeates "Becoming."

The band comments on the single, "If the album explores the tension between hope and inner collapse, 'Becoming' is the moment the glass shatters and your eyes finally open. It is our most atmospheric and melodic song on the album, elevated by our first-ever collaboration with a female singer. Rebecca Need-Menear perfectly embodies this fragile state between dreaming and living."

Over the course of more than a decade, Lost In Kyiv have refined a sound that fuses cinematic ambition, electronic precision, and visceral live energy into something unmistakably their own. With their new album, We're All Going To Be Fine, they push that identity further than ever; sharpening their production, intensifying their dynamics, and embracing a darker, more immersive sonic architecture.

Lost In Kyiv comment, "We're All Going To Be Fine explores the tension between hope and inner collapse, and how modern life can disconnect us from ourselves and each other. The songs were inspired by personal experiences, societal pressure, and the idea that we often become our own worst enemy. We were also inspired by the work of Carl Gustav Jung (who is the voice at the end of the album), especially his ideas about exploring the human psyche, as well as themes from movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or Melancholia."

Lost in Kyiv's music has always thrived on tension between the organic and the synthetic. On We're All Going To Be Fine, that integration reaches a new level of clarity and depth. The writing and production process was long and exacting, allowing the band to refine every transition and tonal detail. Songs unfold with architectural precision, motifs are introduced subtly before expanding into vast, multi-layered climaxes. Dynamics are handled with patience and control, silence and minimalism are deployed as strategically as explosive crescendos. This careful pacing gives the album a cinematic flow and larger narrative in which struggle and compassion coexist.

Guitars surge and recede in wide, panoramic arcs. At moments they shimmer and support, at others they thrash violently, accumulating layers of distortion and harmonic overtones. Acoustic instrumentation is interwoven with sequenced synth lines, pulsing arpeggiators, and carefully sculpted electronic textures that give the band's sound a sense of forward propulsion.

Lost in Kyiv continue, "We always wanted to write music around strong themes, and for the first time, we decided to focus on something more internal than on previous albums. Our last four albums, except maybe Nuit Noire, were more about broader and more general themes. This time, we wanted to explore the fragility of mental health and the human psyche, the relation we have with ourself."

Once To Die Release New Single "SON OF THE ANGEL" via Mindful Recordings Featured on Upcoming Release The Conquest: Volume 1

Southern California metal band Once To Die has unleashed their crushing new single “SON OF THE ANGEL” via Mindful Recordings. Blending punishing heaviness with sharp precision and metalcore intensity, the track is a furious statement piece that continues the band’s rise through the heavy underground.

Produced, mixed, and mastered by Elliot Koenig, “SON OF THE ANGEL” delivers a relentless sonic assault rooted in metal, heavy metal, and metalcore, while channeling the intensity of genre staples like Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, As I Lay Dying, Trivium, At The Gates, Polaris, August Burns Red, Parkway Drive, Architects, Bullet For My Valentine, Miss May I, and Wage War.

Lyrically, the song takes aim at manipulation disguised as salvation.

“'SON OF THE ANGEL' is a song about false prophets that prey upon people who are looking for hope and find themselves let down by these so-called prophets.”

From the chaotic depths of Southern California, Once To Die was formed in the spirit of introducing powerful yet rupturing experience. Forcing an untainted memorandum that what we face in this life can be conquered against overwhelming odds.  The path of conquest we leave in our wake is yet a distinction of the hereafter.

The release of “SON OF THE ANGEL” marks another key step toward the band’s upcoming collection The Conquest: Volume 1, a project fueled by resilience, confrontation, and perseverance.

With their previous track “Endure,” Once To Die began carving the next chapter of their evolution. Now, “SON OF THE ANGEL” intensifies that momentum, raising the stakes and reinforcing the band’s message: the path forward is brutal, but it is survivable.

DONT YOU DARE Drop "S.O.S" EP + Share "Burning Out"

Born from the raw concrete of Sacramento, California, DONT YOU DARE (styled without the apostrophe) are a modern rock duo fusing the intensity of nu-metal and metalcore with raw, unfiltered emotion.

Vocalist Noah Duarte, a poet-turned-frontman, joined forces with guitarist Matt English to create a sound that's both therapeutic and confrontational, and the foundation of what would become DONT YOU DARE.

They just released their S.O.S EP via The Artery Foundation.

They also dropped the single "BURNING OUT."

Listen to below + get the EP here

"'BURNING OUT' is about the emotional burnout turned anger and resentment of trying to save a toxic relationship that keeps taking pieces of you until there's nothing left to give," says English. "The line ,'Everything I love has left me now, everything I love is burning down,' is the realization that fantasy and reality can no longer co-exist, when you realize how much of your worth and identity has been attached to that person that you're falling away from. The helplessness of being stuck in a cycle where you feel like you're always the one who has to change, always the one taking blame, and no matter what you do, nothing can save it."

Regarding the EP as a whole, Duarte states, "S.O.S is a call for help, every song is a different situation I went through emotionally or literally. Late nights, days that didn't seem to end, staring at the ceiling with questions running through my head and no answers in sight. S.O.S as a whole was three years of hard work, long headache-induced sessions, screaming until my voice gave out, generated into five songs that show the world who DONT YOU DARE is and what we will continue to be!"

He continues, "I could go on and on about this EP and how much I am thankful to everyone who worked on it, including my brother and best friend, Matt English, my manager and RIDE OR DIE, Matt Scarpelli, or the person who went out on a limb and gave us a chance, Eric Rushing. But I will give it to the fans to listen to and love as much as we do; to sing along with us every night, because without people to listen to these songs, DONT YOU DARE would be nothing. So here's to our debut EP, S.O.S, and to the beginning of DONT YOU DARE. Thank you to everyone who helped along the way and pushed me and Matt to our breaking point, to be the best version of ourselves day in and day out. This EP is everyone's to enjoy and cherish. I hope it means as much to everyone listening as it does to me."

DONT YOU DARE LIVE:

5/29 — Anaheim, CA — Parish Room at House of Blues (Supporting Arankai)
6/5 — Los Angeles, CA — Moroccan Lounge (With Carry the Day + Silent Vice)

Reece Young Evolves On Achingly Honest New Single "Lights Out"

Fresh off the momentum of signing to Oxide Music, the alt-pop upstart, Reece Young, returns with his latest single, "Lights Out". A deceptively fun, devastatingly honest, and quietly courageous account of the panic when things go dark. Fans can listen to "Lights Out" HERE.

Bright enough to soundtrack a good night and honest enough to admit what happened after, "Lights Out" sits in the tension between the two. It's a familiar territory for Reece Young, who has always written from the parts of himself that most people keep private. For an artist who built his name on heavier ground, the move to alt-pop feels less like a reinvention and more like a natural exhale. "Lights Out" serves as another remarkable pivot, landing with the ease of an artist who has stopped second-guessing himself.

On putting something this personal into a song this infectious, Reece Young shares:

"I wrote Lights Out after having the worst panic attack of my life. I woke up in the middle of the night in complete darkness and had to stare at what I thought was death in the face. I got so frustrated that something like that happened so far along in my healing process, so I wrote a song about a coward that attacks when I can’t see. That’s what Lights Out is about, and I hope it helps anyone that needs it."

In this new lane, Reece Young draws from the emotional energy of VOILA and the anthemic instincts of Twenty One Pilots, carving out a sound that makes alt-pop feel urgent again. As an artist finding his footing in a new sound, he's taking it straight to the stage where every performance leaves the room wondering how they had not heard of him sooner. London is first in line, with a debut headline show on August 29th at YungBlud's B.R.A.T. Cave to kick off a festival weekend that sees Reece supporting Twenty One Pilots at All Points East on August 30th.

With "Nothing At All" and "Lights Out" marking his first two releases on Oxide Music and a run of live dates on the horizon, Reece Young is laying the groundwork for a new era built on sharp songwriting, restless energy, and a willingness to sit in the discomfort instead of looking away.

Be sure to stay tuned for more Reece Young news coming soon.

ABOUT REECE YOUNG

Reece Young knows how to turn trouble into triumph. Bred in New Jersey and based in Nashville, he pours out his deepest personal experiences to cement his place in the music world. From playing big stages at Bludfest and Riot Fest, touring with industry hallmarks (Underoath, Zero 9:36, Palisades, and Avoid), to rolling burritos in the back of a Nashville coffee shop. Reece is no stranger to doing whatever it takes to achieve his goals. Beginning his career in the new metal genre, Young has experienced a sonic metamorphosis. Through his dedication and commitment to following his heart, Reece’s production style has radically transformed, leading to the realization of his true artistic identity. Inspired by the likes of Twenty One Pilots, Bring Me The Horizon, Jon Bellion, and his cat, Socks: Young takes honest storytelling and turns it into an unforgettable live show, commanding the stage and captivating fans with his explosive energy. The proof is in the progress: Reece Young is just getting warmed up.

DUNCAN EVANS AND THE WEEPING STARLIGHT Unveil "Suffer"

DUNCAN EVANS AND THE WEEPING STARLIGHT confront suffering and the strive for peace in their latest single offering, "Suffer". The track provides a further glimpse into the raw and emotive forthcoming album, The World is a War Zone, is scheduled to arrive on September 18, 2026 via Widowbird Records.

Approaching the cyclical nature between fear and suffering, the new single exposes how a peaceful future is impeded by memories of the past. In the lyrics, In fear of a future that exists in the past / Where no-one is sacred and nothing will lastDuncan Evans reveals how the past must be learnt from and not become a barrier to reducing suffering.

Musically, "Suffer" carries the most progressive arrangement on the upcoming album's track list. The first section is composed in 7/4 time and sees melodic leads entwine themselves around grounding percussion alongside Evans' lead vocals. A sudden explosion of chaos shatters through the musical layers. In the aftermath of the devastation, "Suffer" returns to the opening progressive style before venturing into heavier realms. This traversal of plains of varying light and shade conveys the anxiety of uncertainty and discomfort of the unknown.

The World is a War Zone marks the first full-length release under the name DUNCAN EVANS AND THE WEEPING STARLIGHT. Formed in 2022 to reflect the emergence of a committed three-piece lineup, the band channels intense post-punk dynamics through the dark and primal undercurrents of folk music. Across nine tracks and 45 minutes, the album explores faith, psychological upheaval, suffering and renewal, navigating the internal battlefields that shape modern existence while holding fast to the possibility of redemption.

DUNCAN EVANS AND THE WEEPING STARLIGHT is:

  • Duncan Evans – vocals, guitars, synths, software instruments

  • Ol Jessop – bass guitar

  • Kev Reid – drums

Scottish Alt Rockers THE XCERTS Share New Single "rinse repeat" + Visualizer

Today, THE XCERTS share "rinse repeat," the latest single from their forthcoming sixth album‘i think i want to go home now.,’ out on July 10th via FLG.

The track is, by the band's own admission, something of a first: a song that deliberately references their own back catalogue. Drawing a direct line to "crisis in the slow lane" from their 2009 debut ‘In The Cold Wind We Smile,’ "rinse repeat" revisits familiar emotional territory, cancer, heartbreak, helplessness, but refracted through the experience of adulthood and the weight that comes with it.

Speaking about the track, vocalist and guitarist Murray Macleod says:

"This might be the first time we've self-referenced our own material. There are a lot of parallels between our first record and this record, with the heartbreak of a relationship deteriorating and the loss of a parent. We wanted this song to be reminiscent of 'crisis in the slow lane' but from the perspective of adulthood. Sadly cancer was all too prominent in our lives during the writing and recording of this record, and this song is very much about my father's diagnosis at the tail end of 2022 and the helplessness of it all. I also tend to merge different scenes in verses and tie them together with choruses, so verse 2 is also about hopelessness, but in regards to my then partner's struggles."

Watch the Visualizer for "rinse repeat" Below:

It is another unflinching entry in an album that has consistently refused to look away. Where "pretty ugly" arrived as a fuzzed-out blast of anger and "in your eyes" built toward something sweeping and quietly devastating, "rinse repeat" sits somewhere between the two: purposeful, direct, and rooted in the same collaborative instinct that has defined the making of ‘i think i want to go home now.’ throughout.

The album was written by all three members together in a room, something the band had not done since their early records, and that process is audible throughout. Recorded by Larry Hibbitt at Beehive Studios, its ten songs document two years of genuine turbulence, including the passing of bassist Jordan Smith's mother and Macleod's father's cancer diagnosis, processed in real time and in company.

'i think i want to go home now.' arrives July 10th via FLG.

MIDNITE HELLION Summon The Dark with New Single “THE CONJURING” Their Rendition of the Megadeth Classic

"The Conjuring," located in the depths of the band's rehearsal collection, is one of four bonus tracks featured on the re-release of "Condemned To Hell." Our rendition of this Megadeth classic is fast, loose, and most importantly, fun - a fly-on-the-wall perspective of exactly what we were getting into 9 years ago.

MIDNITE HELLION return with fire in their veins and darkness at their command, unleashing their latest single, “The Conjuring.” This isn’t just a song, it’s a full-scale sonic ritual that pulls listeners into a world of mysticism, aggression, and relentless metal energy.

From the moment the track begins, “The Conjuring” casts its spell. Driven by razor-sharp riffs, thunderous drums, and soaring yet menacing vocals, the song channels classic heavy metal spirit while pushing forward with modern force. It’s a track built to hit hard, stick with you, and demand repeat listens.

Lyrically, “The Conjuring” dives deep into themes of power, transformation, and the unknown drawing from dark imagery and arcane influence to create a narrative that feels both cinematic and visceral. The band doesn’t just play the music… they summon it.

BIO:

Heavy Metal Rock 'n Roll - MIDNITE HELLION does it best. Founder/drummer Drew Rizzo, long-time bassist/backing vocalist Rach Kubik, and lead guitarist Charles Koegler create the power that amplifies every town.

Their distinctive style – classic, no-frills heavy metal serving tremendously infectious spurts of thrash riffs with a straight, fun stage attitude – made them a top pick for world-class acts to ignite their respective crowds. Bringing their strong regional fan base to the table, MIDNITE HELLION shared the stages with OverKill, Dirkschneider, Grim Reaper, Flotsam & Jetsam, Obituary, Diamond Head, Raven, Exodus, Yngwie Malmsteen, and many more.

Their electrifying debut album Condemned to Hell (2017) proved to be just the kind of wrecking ball that the band needed. Picked up and widely spread by multiple Marconi award holder WSOU 89.5 FM, the album successfully leveled a solid path into the wider US metal scene. In less than a year, Condemned To Hell became a national phenomenon – and so did MIDNITE HELLION as a touring act, spawning intense mosh pits left, right, and center. The touring cycle in support of the album peaked in late 2018 when the band shared stages with OTEP and THE WORLD OVER in the Midwest and Mountain regions of the United States.

Fueled by the sheer awesomeness of their fans and the energy received from this crowd, and driven by a bag of new songs and ideas that they brought back home, MIDNITE HELLION entered Pyramid Sound Studios in Ithaca, NY in August 2019. The recording of their second album Kingdom Immortal took them only six days with the help of iconic producer Alex Perialas, who in the past contributed to shaping the signature thrash sound of Anthrax/S.O.D, OverKill or Testament, while also adding a pound or two to Joe Bonamassa’s music. Mixing took place in March and Mastering in May 2021, before Daniel Bacigalupi (Barry Gibb, Dolly Parton, Stray Cats, Willie Nelson) cut the vinyl mastering at Infrasonic Sound.

This Halloween, Midnite Hellion teams up with Marc "Skippy" Price (Family Ties) for the 40th Anniversary of "Trick Or Treat," starring Marc Price, Ozzy Osbourne, Gene Simmons, and the late Tony Fields as Sammi Curr. Under Sammi's spell, Midnite Hellion is taking on the role of his band, Omniarch, performing along with the film for the ultimate fan experience for three exclusive shows...unless Sammi demands they play his songs again...

The best is yet to come, as the blast from the past is far from over!

The Hu Announce New Album "HUN" Out 7/24 + Band Shares "Lost Soul"

Turning the page on what promises to be a bold creative chapter, Hunnu Rock pioneers THE HU — Galaa (morin khuur, throat singing); Jaya (tumur khuur, tsuur, throat singing); Enkush (morin khuur, throat singing); and Temka(tovshuur, throat singing) — proudly announce their forthcoming third full-length album, HUN, out July 24 via BETTER NOISE MUSIC. Pre-order/Pre-save HUN here.

Alongside the album news, the band has unleashed a hypnotic new single entitled "Lost Soul" (Feat. Jonny Hawkins of NOTHING MORE). It marks the first collaboration between the Gold-certified global phenomenon and NOTHING MORE.

Listen to "Lost Soul" (Feat. Jonny Hawkins of NOTHING MORE) here. Watch the video below.

Across the song, the percussive groove-laden soundscape resembles the extremes of Mongolia's fickle and unforgiving climate. A head-nodding riff tosses and turns beneath propulsive verses, giving way to a melodic refrain from Hawkins who croons the infectious chorus, "Born to be a lost soul." These English-sung affirmations lock into a seamless volley with traditional Mongolian chanting, uniting styles and cultures in one burst of boundary-breaking energy.

Resounding beyond all borders, the song trumpets a message of resiliency, fortitude, and strength that translates positively into any language and anywhere in the world.

Regarding the song, Galaa comments "We have been unpacking our surprises one by one. Hunnu Rock transcends through culture and in that respect, we have made 'Lost Soul' with Jonny Hawkins. To be not lost on your life journey, not losing your values, and go through life and having a courage to face the life obstacles are messages we are sending our fans through this song 'Lost Soul' and in our next album, HUN. "

Hawkins adds, "I am so excited to team up with a band as committed to their craft as The Hu. It's unlike anything I've done before."

HUN finds The Hu, who were first tipped by NPR back in 2019, at the peak of their powers thus far. They expand the scope of their signature Hunnu Rock with 11 tracks steeped in the lore and legend of Mongolia, yet uplifted with universal ambition. It's as epic, enthralling, and enigmatic and it opens the gateway into their world.

"We took our time to do this right, and we're so glad that we're almost ready to release what we have worked on these past few years," the band says. "Now, we are also focusing on the performances and working out a brand-new setlist. We want to play bigger venues so we can do extensive production, and bring in some amazing elements of our culture, and play these ideas to our fans. And, as well as our third album, we have some amazing ideas for another album already!"

The Hu have teamed up with Cello Metal standouts Apocalyptica for a run of shows this May and June. The tour kicked off on May 12 in Silver Spring, MD and will take them across the country before wrapping in Anaheim, CA on June 7. Joining The Hu and Apocalyptica is platinum-selling Finnish rock band The Rasmus.

Tickets and additional information on VIP packages available HERE.

And in other The Hu news, the band recently appeared on the song "Pray to the Sun," featuring Declan de Barra, from the Netflix Japanese manga series One Piece. It's another instance of the band and its music connecting with passionate fandoms, as their song "Sugaan Essena" was also prominently featured in the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game.

FIMBUL WINTER Present New Single "Crowned In Ash"

Forging a sound that is heavy, melodic and atmospheric, FIMBUL WINTER honor the legacy of their death metal foundations producing music that feels familiar yet is modern in its approach. "Crowned In Ash" is the latest release from FIMBUL WINTER following the 2025 debut EP What Once Was

With a line-up formed of three previous members of AMON AMARTH, and completed with Clint Williams, FIMBUL WINTER embarks on greater exploration and development of melodic death metal. Drawing from their knowledge and experience in AMON AMARTH, and expanding further their artistic boundaries, FIMBUL WINTER brings power, energy and intensity into all of their sonic offerings.

"Crowned In Ash" emerges from the flames in an enticing soundscape infused with intriguing melodic leads. Driving rhythms take precedence pushing the track's momentum forward while guitar leads continue to entwine across the instrumental layers and Clint Williams' monstrous vocals are unleashed above.

The band states "There was never a question of what we should sound like, we’ve been shaping this sound/genre for decades, this is in our DNA"

An authoritative force prevails across the choruses in "Crowned In Ash". The fast-pace lessens its grip to allow the progressions and vocal performance the space to land with thunderous impact. FIMBUL WINTER ensure the track's main riff remains compelling and constant throughout, while deploying enveloping, shifting dynamics throughout the musical arrangement.

About FIMBUL WINTER:

Comprised of three former members of AMON AMARTH, including founding members Niko Kaukinen and Anders Biazzi, FIMBUL WINTER strive to redefine melodic death metal. Based out of Stockholm, Sweden and Melbourne, Australia, FIMBUL WINTER formed in 2023 building upon their roots and the members' legacies in Swedish death metal.

FIMBUL WINTER's beginnings grew from a spontaneous reunion performing AMON AMARTH's 1994 demo titled The Arrival Of The Fimbul Winter. The instant connection between the musicians ignited a desire to create something new that captured the essence of Swedish death metal in an updated style that is clean and modern without being polished to its detriment. 2025 brought this vision to life with the unveiling of the ensemble's first EP, What Once Was.

The new single release, "Crowned In Ash" marks the band's continuing trajectory. FIMBUL WINTER push their compositional creativity while striving to remain truly authentic to a sound they helped to craft.

FIMBUL WINTER Is:

Niko Kaukinen - Drums
Fredrik Andersson - Guitars
Anders Biazzi - Guitars
Clint Williams - Vocals

ETERNAL RECURRENCE Embarks On An Emotive Voyage In New Single "Eternal Recurrence" ft. Mordian

"Eternal Recurrence" is the new single release from ETERNAL RECURRENCE featuring guest vocal performance by Mordian (DIAMORTE and SHIELD OF WINGS). Drawing inspiration from chamber music, ETERNAL RECURRENCE offer an alternative, more intimate take on modern symphonic metal. "Eternal Recurrence" is the title track from the project's forthcoming, self-titled, debut EP due to arrive later this year.

In "Eternal Recurrence", the metaphor of a sea voyage represents a symbolic journey pertaining to the grief and struggles of experiencing miscarriages. Nautical imagery is present not only within the lyrics but also across the instrumental arrangement of the track. The implementation of the minor key and driving rhythm of the 'Ashoka'-style theme represent the inevitable storms faced along the way. Meanwhile, a softer, major key version of this theme performed on piano at the very end of the song signifies gentle lapping waves and a safe arrival into the habor.

Project founder, multi-instrumentalist and composer C. Alex Luke comments, "For those fighting against such choppy waters, it can be emotionally devastating to watch friends and family experience 'smooth sailing' as they have healthy children seemingly easily and without any difficulties or complications. After a couple of miscarriages, it can feel like the cycle of pregnancy and loss will 'eternally recur'."

Guest vocalist Mordian, who also appears on the first single “Precious Stones", returns on this track. Bringing an ethereal quality, Mordian contributes to powerful harmonized duets with C. Alex Luke, and an emotive lament in the song's bridge.

All material on Eternal Recurrence was composed around a chamber ensemble led by German Dmitriev on violins, Steven Schumann on cellos, Maciek Szczyciński on double bass, and C. Alex Luke on piano. These elements are combined with aggressive guitars, lead work, and drumming rooted firmly in modern metal.

The upcoming self-titled EP represents the first chapter for ETERNAL RECURRENCE and introduces the sonic identity that will guide the project moving forward. Support through Kickstarter will help fund recording, production, and the collaboration with the orchestral musicians who bring the music to life. Their page can be found HERE.

Listeners and supporters can learn more about the campaign and follow the progress of the EP through ETERNAL RECURRENCE’s Kickstarter page.
