Modern Metal Supergroup CYHRA Release Empowering New Single "Bleed With Pride"

Swedish melodic metal supergroup CYHRA (Featuring AMARANTHE Co-Founder Jake E and current THE HALO EFFECT, KAMELOT, THE CROWN, and SUBURBAN TRIBE members) unveil an epic modern metal offering in their empowering new single "Bleed With Pride". As CYHRA celebrates their 10th anniversary year, the new release arrives alongside the announcement of the band's fourth studio album Requiem For A Pipe Dream scheduled to be released on June 5th, 2026, via Reigning Phoenix Music.

CYHRA frontman Jake E comments, "'Bleed With Pride' is about learning to trust your scars instead of hiding them. For a long time, I carried the weight of the past like something that needed to be buried. But the truth is, those wounds kept me honest. They became my compass.

This song is about the internal war — the silent thunder you fight inside — and choosing not to let it drown you. If I’m going to bleed, it’s not out of shame anymore. It’s with pride. Because every scar means I survived, I rebuilt, and I kept burning."

"Bleed With Pride" aptly encompasses the central themes of the forthcoming Requiem For A Pipe Dream. This rhythmic track, fueled by a driving momentum, delivers a resonating effect alongside the emotive lyrics. CYHRA's high-octane sound is captivating and energizing; providing encouragement and strength to keep progressing despite past difficulties.

About CYHRA
As they approach their 10th anniversary next year, CYHRA have carved out a notable place in the metal scene since their founding in 2016 by Jake E (AMARANTHE Co-Founder) and Jesper Strömblad (THE HALO EFFECT, formerly IN FLAMES). They were soon joined by drummer Alex Landenburg (KAMELOT, Luca Turilli’s RHAPSODY), guitarist Euge Valovirta (SUBURBAN TRIBE), and bassist Peter Iwers (THE HALO EFFECT, formerly IN FLAMES). Their debut album Letters To Myself” was released in 2017 to glowing reviews, catapulting the group to global stages, crowned with a massive North American tour supporting SABATON and KREATOR.

Following Iwers’ departure, Valovirta also took over bass duties, and the band released their second album No Halos In Hell in 2019, which blended groovy metal with a poppy flair and featured the hit single "Out Of My Life," amassing about 11 million streams on Spotify. Their success continued with a European tour with BATTLE BEAST, UK dates alongside DELAIN, headline shows in select countries including Finland and Japan, and performances at major festivals like Masters of Rock, Bloodstock Open Air, Sabaton Open Air, and 70,000 Tons of Metal.

In 2020, guitarist Marcus Sunesson (RONNIE ATKINS, THE CROWN) joined, expanding the line-up. The pandemic pause allowed the band to craft their third album The Vertigo Trigger, released in 2023. The album’s tour brought them back to Finland to open for SMASH INTO PIECES and to headline shows in early 2024. Quietly beginning their fourth album, CYHRA ended the cycle with a Scandinavian tour with EVERGREY, leading into 2025 and through to 2026 with a series of new single releases. Requiem For A Pipe Dream lands on June 5th, 2026, via Reigning Phoenix Music.

LORDI Announced As Spokesband For Swedish Recycling Campaign “Pantamera”

Sweden’s leading recycling initiative Pantamera proudly announces Finnish hard rock legends LORDI as the official spokesband for its 2026 national recycling campaign. Launching on April 2, 2026, the campaign arrives alongside a brand-new LORDI single and video titled “Pantamera (PAN-TAH-MEH-RAH!)”.

Famous for their monster personas, theatrical stagecraft, and Eurovision-winning legacy, LORDI now turn their attention to sustainability—bringing their signature shock rock energy to one of Sweden’s most impactful environmental initiatives.

At the heart of the campaign is LORDI’s unique interpretation of the classic song “Guantanamera”, reimagined in their signature hard rock style. As with every Pantamera campaign, the chosen artist reshapes the familiar melody into their own sonic identity—this time transformed into a powerful, riff-driven anthem designed to resonate with rock audiences.

The band’s creative vision draws a striking parallel between horror and sustainability. As Mr. Lordi explains:

The LORDI version of Pantamera is exploring the similarities between recycling and horror genre in general. For example, Frankenstein's monster and Zombies are recycled flesh and bones.”

Stream the song here: https://lordi.rpm.link/pantamera

Watch the video below:

Beyond the stage, LORDI have long demonstrated a commitment to environmental and ethical causes. The band are supporters of PETA and have previously participated in a vegan fashion photoshoot for Vogue, promoting cruelty-free and sustainable materials. Their involvement in Pantamera reflects a natural extension of these values: respect for the planet and awareness of the challenges it faces.

Describing the band’s relentless creative output and packed schedule, one phrase fits perfectly: monsters never rest. Between new music, major live appearances, and now a nationwide environmental campaign, LORDI continue to prove that their momentum is unstoppable.

Alongside the Pantamera campaign, LORDI are gearing up for two special moments on stage:

• 22 April: A unique orchestral collaboration at Forged in Sound: Heavy Metal Orchestrated, presented by the Philharmonia Orchestra

• 26 May: A special appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Final in Vienna

Holding Absence Announce Sumerian Records Signing "Whisper Of A Dream" Single And Music Video Out Now

South Wales trio Holding Absence today release "Whisper Of A Dream", their first new music since 2023’s ‘The Noble Art Of Self-Destruction’ and their first for new label Sumerian Records.

This track captures what it means to be human when hope feels out of reach. Holding Absence explore the tension between numbness and healing, tapping into a state so dark it feels almost inhuman. It is a search for something better, while watching it slip further away. Sitting between emotional hardcore and alternative, Holding Absence lean into deep vulnerability, pulling listeners into a world shaped by their lyrics and striking visual identity. The single also marks the introduction of a character that will unfold across the album campaign.

Speaking of "Whisper Of A Dream", frontman Lucas Woodland shares:

'Whisper Of A Dream' is our first song back in what feels like forever. After releasing our third record, 'The Noble Art Of Self-Destruction', it felt essential to step away for a while - to take stock and rediscover who we are as a band. "Whisper" felt like the perfect song to return with. In many ways, it represents everything Holding Absence has always been, while introducing new elements to our sound and opening the door to what comes next.

Lyrically and conceptually, the song draws heavily from cyberpunk media. Contemplation, sentience and dreaming in an ever-evolving world. The music video also introduces our robot mascot “Y4-BB0”, a character you’ll be seeing more of in the coming years.

By signing off ‘The Noble Art of Self-Destruction’ with a stark “3/3”, Holding Absence made a promise - to set fire to everything they, and their fans, thought they knew about the band. After nearly a decade of carving out a home in their post hardcore terrain, 'TNAOSD'was a final, defiant love letter to themselves - a wild, muddy exorcism of all they had been, and all that fans had grown to love about them… But the end of that campaign posed some cold, hard questions: What do we lose? And what do we keep? What does it mean - and has it meant - to the thousands of fans across the world adorned with the moth tattoo? And how do we carry out this metamorphosis without losing that?

Holding Absence is emotion. It is vulnerability and honesty. It’s the raindrops that trickle down your face on a cold walk home... The wind that blows across your cheeks as the sky splits open at sunrise. If you can feel it - raw and human - it is Holding Absence. Stream "Whisper Of A Dream" here, and watch the official music video below.

North American fans will also have their chance to see the band beginning next month at Welcome To Rockville on Thursday, May 7and at Sonic Temple the following week on Thursday, May 14. Holding Absence will also be bringing the heat to Louder Than Life on Friday, September 18 and Aftershock on Thursday, October 1 this fall. Click the link here for ticket information, and stay tuned for more Holding Absence news coming soon.

Dream Beard Teams Up with Dropout Kings for Powerful New Single “HIGH LIFE” via Judge & Jury Records

Rising artist Dream Beard announces the release of his new single “HIGH LIFE,” through Judge & Jury Records, a deeply personal collaboration with the genre-bending group Dropout Kings. The track was produced by Cameron Mizell (Machine Gun Kelly, Sleeping with Sirens), who originally introduced Dream Beard to Judge & Jury Records, founded by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, POD, Daughtry) and Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace. “Cam has become a key part of our production team, and we are excited about what we’re building together in 2026,” says Benson.

Following the tragic passing of Adam Ramey, Dropout King's lead vocalist, the loss sent shock waves through fans, collaborators, and the music community at large.

For Dream Beard, the loss hit especially close to home, not only as a fan and collaborator, but as someone who had shared a real moment with Ramey long before this track came to life. Years earlier, Dream Beard was invited by Memphis May Fire to attend ShipRocked. During a day off, he noticed people were smoking cigars and wanted to do the same, so he went on an adventure seeking one out. As he wandered past a row of private villas, he spotted a man sitting on a porch enjoying one. Dream Beard asked where he could find a cigar, and the man invited him into his bungalow to share his own. That man was Adam Ramey. A simple exchange turned into a memorable connection, one that now adds even deeper meaning to “HIGH LIFE.” This is also the first Dropout Kings track to drop since vocalist Adam Ramey’s untimely death last year

In the wake of that tragedy, Dream Beard reached out to Black Cat Bill, reigniting a creative connection that would ultimately lead to “HIGH LIFE.” What began as an idea quickly evolved into something far more powerful.

STREAM "HIGH LIFE"

https://ffm.to/dbhighlife

Vocalist Dream Beard shares, “Last year, I hit rock bottom. When I started finding hope, I wrote this song as a cry to break the cycle I had found myself in. Once I had the concept of the song, Chango Cam and I got in the studio and it was the fastest song we’ve made. When we were done, we knew it needed more. At the same time, we both said, 'We need Dropout Kings on this.' It has that unique trap metal sound that’s so perfectly defined by them. I already had the foundation of the song, but once Black Cat Bill added his voice to it, everything changed. It became something bigger than both of us, it became something honest- that’s when we knew we had a hit!”

He adds, “We all have cycles in our lives we need to break. You can call them generational curses or bad habits, but whatever they are, they keep us from our highest path. This song is about recognizing that and choosing something better.”

That message is rooted in Dream Beard’s real-life journey. Raised in a home impacted by meth addiction, he was kicked out at just 13 years old and forced to survive on his own early in life. After getting sober, he spent years searching for meaning, first becoming a pastor, later exploring Buddhism, before stepping away from organized religion and building his own path. He went on to launch Dream Beard Company, a beard oil brand that grew into an international business with products sold in over 30 countries before closing in the wake of the COVID era. Since then, he has shifted into production work, now developing cutting-edge hologram projects through his latest creative venture.

“HIGH LIFE” represents a small piece of a larger story about conquering hardships and breaking generational curses. It is a heavy-hitting nu-metal banger that combines raw, introspective, passionate rap lyrics with Fever 333 swagger & a reminiscence of Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory.

Founded by multi-platinum producer Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson (drummer and songwriter of Three Days Grace), Judge & Jury brings decades of success in the rock world, offering extensive promotional, production, and songwriting resources.

Green Carnation Premiere A Dark Poem, Part II: Sanguis

Had Green Carnation never returned from hiatus, the Norwegian prog bards would always be remembered for completing one of metal’s most ambitious individual epics. However, there was one tale - or three, to be exact - that eluded them for more than three decades, until last year. Now, after reaching crushing new highs on Part I of their forthcoming album trilogy, the band are descending into the deepest, darkest and most personal depths of their storied career with A Dark Poem, Part II: Sanguis.

A Dark Poem, Part II: Sanguis comes out tomorrow, Friday, April 3 on Season of Mist, but you can hear all six heart-wrenching songs today by listening to the full album stream, which premieres on the Season of Mist YouTube channel at Noon Eastern Time.

During the premiere, the band will chat with fans about the latest installment in their forthcoming album trilogy, as well as what the future might bring on Part III.

A Dark Poem, Part II: Sanguis Full Album Stream Premiere Below.

“Sanguis invites listeners into our darkest inner rooms with some of the most raw and vulnerable songs that we’ve ever written”, Nordhus says.

“The lyrics are so personal that I had to go many rounds with myself over whether or not to tone them down”, says Sordal. “In the end, I chose to keep them as honest as possible”.

“Part II deal with personal loss and sadness”, shares Nordhus, though as he’s quick to explain, Sanguis isn’t all gloom and doom. “Those feelings can be almost comforting, like stories you hear about the calm that people experience before they die”. Indeed, if A Dark Poem contains a silver lining, it’s in the creative partnership that’s helped Green Carnation endure for more than three decades. “It would be different if I had only known Stein Roger for two months”, Nordhus continues in explaining how he gives voice to the words of his dear friend. “It’s easy for me to understand and relate to all of his struggles, all of his pleasures and joys, because I’ve been a part of them as well”.

Part II introduces more peaks and valleys into the overarching narrative of A Dark Poem, but nowhere does the album’s bleeding-heart core shine through more achingly than its closing ballad. Graced by Ingrid Ose’s soothing flute, “Lunar Tale” positively sparkles, even as it casts a rather grim beacon into the future. “The end justifies the means, you’ll see”, Nordhus sings with eerily quiet confidence. As the piano seeps beneath the moonlight, Sanguisleaves fans hanging in suspense over where this trilogy will end.

THE ETERNAL Unveil New Lyric Video For “Everlasting MMXXVI”!

Following the release of their much-acclaimed EP Celestial earlier this year via Reigning Phoenix Music, Australian-Finnish dark metal act THE ETERNAL return with new visuals. Today, the band presents an official lyric video for the haunting EP closing track “Everlasting MMXXVI”.

Blending strong melodies with dynamic intensity, “Everlasting MMXXVI” stands out as both powerful and immediately memorable, balancing a haunting atmosphere with a distinctly catchy edge. Speaking about the song’s lyrical themes, frontman Mark Kelson explains:

“The lyrics of 'Everlasting MMXXVI' reflect on impermanence, change, and the inevitable passing of time. Using imagery of fading ships, drifting shadows, and memories lost in the haze, the song captures the melancholy of relationships and identities that shift beyond recognition. The repeated questioning—who has changed, who remains, who has risen or fallen—emphasises the uncertainty and fragility of human connection. At its core, the refrain “nothing’s everlasting” serves as both a lament and a truth, underscoring the transience of life and the bittersweet realisation that even cherished bonds and moments cannot remain unchanged.”

THE ETERNAL once again highlight the emotional depth and introspective themes at the heart of their music, offering fans a compelling new visual dimension to one of the release’s most evocative tracks.

Watch the clip Below:

Following the success of their 2024 album Skinwalker, the band's new EP Celestial sees THE ETERNAL continue their signature fusion of melancholic atmospheres, doom-laden heaviness, and progressive depth. The progressive gothic metal collective once again delivers an emotive and cinematic journey through sound and spirit, unafraid to embrace both beauty and bleakness while charting new creative horizons.

With Mark Kelson (vocals/guitars) and Richie Poate (guitars) in Melbourne, joined by Niclas Etelävuori (bass, ex-AMORPHIS/FLAT EARTH) and Jan Rechberger (drums, AMORPHIS) in Helsinki, THE ETERNAL have solidified themselves as a truly international collaboration. Their music resonates with fans of acts such as KATATONIA, SWALLOW THE SUN, and ANATHEMA - dark yet luminous, heavy yet emotionally transcendent!

Celestial is available digitally and as a limited, eco-friendly recycled vinyl LP edition (exclusively available through the band’s official store and the RPM shop). Order your favorite choice of format at this location: https://theeternal.rpm.link/celestialPR

SEPULTURA RELEASE NEW SINGLE 'BEYOND THE DREAM'

As the curtain falls on an extraordinary career spanning more than four decades, SEPULTURA are preparing to close their final chapter at the end of this year. With over 40 years of band history, 14 gold records, and performances across more than 80 countries, SEPULTURA stand as Brazil’s uncompromising emissary to the global stage and one of today’s most influential metal bands.

Currently bringing their pioneering sound to audiences worldwide on the 'Celebrating Life Through Death' farewell tour, the question has arisen: how should SEPULTURA mark the end of such a monumental journey? The answer came naturally: By capturing a final creative moment and preserving it for posterity.

Last month, SEPULTURA announced their final release, The Cloud of Unknowing EP, due to be released on April 24th.

The band are proud to reveal the EP's second single, the deeply resonant 'Beyond the Dream'.

SEPULTURA commented,

“Beyond the Dream” emerges as one of the most emblematic moments of Sepultura’s final chapter, serving as a poetic reflection of a journey shaped by decades of albums, tours, and life on the road.

This previously unreleased composition fulfills a long-standing desire of the band to explore the ballad format, blending Sepultura’s identity with the melodic sensitivity of renowned collaborators. To bring this project to life, Sepultura enlisted the essential collaboration of Sérgio Britto and Tony Bellotto of Titãs—musicians who share a long history with the band and are widely recognized as specialists in the genre, as well as composers of classics such as “Polícia.”

The result of a direct partnership between members of Sepultura and Titãs, the song celebrates the connection between artists who share the stage and a deep passion for creation. The outcome is a piece that brings great satisfaction to everyone involved, establishing itself as both an emotional and historical milestone featured on the band’s final EP, released in this very year that marks Sepultura’s official farewell.”

Hard rock band 12 Stones have officially released their latest single “World So Cold,”featuring Lyric Noel, via Judge & Jury Records in partnership with SV Records. The track, produced by Howard Benson (Daughtry, My Chemical Romance, Skillet, Flyleaf), marks the band’s second release with the label.

Accompanying the release is an official music video, directed by Michael Levine of Levine Pictures, that vividly brings the song’s message to life. The visual narrative explores two contrasting sides of the main character. One side is consumed by anger and the other is weighed down by sadness and emotion.

Featuring Lyric Noel, “World So Cold” is a reignited version of the popular 12 Stones classic. Feeling that we had all lost our sense of humanity, Paul McCoy originally wrote the song in 2006 about the inconceivable tragedies of this world and, as he reflects now, the need for a song like this never truly went away. Almost 20 years later, this song is more relevant than ever.

The song is filled with candid lyrics, such as “What kind of world do we live in? // where love is divided by hate?” Heart-wrenching verses build up to explosive choruses, leaving behind a message that is certain to be remembered.

“'World So Cold' is a song I wrote about my view of the world. I wrote this song almost 20 years ago about how messed up the world seemed to me. I can honestly say that I don’t feel like it’s gotten any better over the last 20 years. I remember sitting in the lounge of the music studio messing around with an acoustic guitar while the TV was on in the background. I saw a news story about another person on a shooting rampage, and in that moment, I just started singing the melody that became 'World So Cold'. I realized that all humans can become a byproduct of their environments.  The song is about believing in hope in hopeless times,” says McCoy.

Lyric Noel adds, “I was incredibly honored that out of all the singers out there, they chose me to be part of the re-release of ‘World So Cold.’ It’s such a powerful song that already carries so much emotion and history, so getting the chance to lend my voice to it meant a lot to me. Filming the music video was an amazing experience, and the visuals really bring the story and atmosphere of the song to life in a beautiful way. Being part of this new chapter of ‘World So Cold’ alongside 12 Stones is something I’m truly grateful for.”

Founded by multi-platinum producer Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson (drummer and songwriter of Three Days Grace), Judge & Jury brings decades of success in the rock world, offering extensive promotional, production, and songwriting resources.

In addition, the band has announced tour dates this spring! Dates are listed below.

Iconic US indie rockers THE DAMBUILDERS return with "Shrine 2026" single & live dates

American college radio faves The Dambuilders are back with their new single “Shrine 2026”, marking the band’s first new release in decades. Released via Magic Door Record Label in traditional A / B format, "Shrine 2026" comes with the companion track “I Hope We’re Not Too Late”, recorded and produced by Ray Ketchem at Magic Door Recording in Montclair, NJ and mastered by award-winning engineer Greg Calbi (Lennon, Bowie, Springsteen, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Tom Petty).

2025 saw the band's reformation with reunion shows at Dromfest and NYC Berlin, where they performed their 1989 debut album in its entirety. In April, they will once again be performing in New York City and Providence, Rhode Island. Involving a host of special guests, these are the band's first performances in either city in 30 years, offering a rare opportunity to experience the band’s dynamic live presence.

“Shrine 2026” revisits one of the band's most beloved songs, from their 1994 album "Encendedor", reaffirming the group’s signature blend of emotional immediacy and sonic invention.

While The Dambuilders are most associated with the 1990s Boston rock scene, the band originated in Honolului, formed by Dave Derby, Tryan George and Eric Masunaga—veterans of Honolulu acts like the Exactones—and joined byelectric violinist Debbie Fox. After relocating to Boston in 1990, the group solidified into its definitive "classic" lineup by 1992, with Derby on vocals and bass, Masunaga on guitar, Kevin March on drums, and Joan Wasser on violin.

Now The Dambuilders re-emerge with a renewed sense of purpose with Dave Derbyand Kevin March joined by guitarist Sean Eden (Luna) and violinist Claudia Chopek (Dexys, Father John Misty, The Little River Band). Their performance of the B-side “I Hope We’re Not Too Late” uphold the bend's core elements and original identity while embracing an evolving sound.

The Dambuilders built a devoted following throughout the 1990s, touring North America, Europe and Australia alongside artists such as Lush, Luna, Jeff Buckley, Weezer and Better Than Ezra. They would release 3 records via the !Cuacha! Label and 3 albums for Elektra Records, along with a song cycle that dedicated a number of tracks to the 50 states (most notably,“Idaho” and “Delaware”).

"Encendedor" became a cornerstone of their catalog, with “Shrine” ranked at No. 17 in MTV’s 100 Greatest Songs of the ‘90s: Lollapalooza edition. Following the release of "Against the Stars" in 1997, the band stepped away from recording and touring, with its members going on to pursue a wide range of acclaimed musical projects in the years that followed.

Joan Wasser went on to work with Jeff Buckley before founding her iconic project Joan As Police Woman, and Kevin March joined Guided By Voices, having also done stints with Shudder To Think, Hot One and Mind Science Of The MindEric Masunaga, who returned for The Dambuilders' 2025 reunion dates, continues his production work through Modulus Studios in Boston, while Tryan George became a video director for major acts like Smash Mouth, Our Lady Peace, and Toto.

Dave Derby went on to launch and become involved in multiple projects, including Lloyd Cole and The Negatives, Brilliantine and Gramercy Arms, for which he has collaborated with numerous luminaries, including members of Nada Surf, The Psychedelic Furs, Belly, Throwing Muses, Sparklehorse, The Philip Glass Ensemble, Dead Air, The Magnetic Fields, Codeine, Elk City, Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, Letters to Cleo, Fuzzy, The Monsieurs, A Girl Called Eddy, Small Factory, The King Canutes, Diesel, Royal Arctic Institute, Aeon Station and Semi-Gloss.

Fun facts: Derby launched a successful music for TV company Derby and Kotch with Michael Kotch (Eve’s Plum, Lloyd Cole and the Negatives), and did music for Sarah Silverman’s TV shows and film (“Jesus is Magic”). Working with Vitamin C (Eve’s Plum), they wrote music for Hannah Montana, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Along with Jill Sobule, they created music for the Nickelodeon TV show “Unfabulous,” starring Emma Roberts. Derby and Kotch also won a BMI Music award for the theme song and score of MTV’s “70s House.”

37 years after their first record, The Dambuilders’ story is still being written. “Shrine 2026” starts a new chapter. As vital and compelling as ever, their songs remain just as emotionally resonant and sonically adventurous today. As of April 1, "Shrine 2006" will be available on digital platforms, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp. Tickets for their East coast shows are also available now.

Third Man Records Announces Ted Lucas’ Images of Life

Today, Third Man Records announces Images of Life, a career-spanning, 3xLP retrospective boxset illuminating the staggering breadth and depth of Lucas’ work, out May 22nd.

In conjunction, they digitally release disc two, Rainy Days (1970-1974), available to stream in its entirety today. Disc one, Strange Mysterious Sounds (1965-1970), highlights Lucas’ flirtation with psychedelic major label clout via his bands the Spike Drivers, the Misty Wizards and the Horny Toads. Disc two, Rainy Days (1970-1974) contains the solo acoustic warmth and charm most similar to the music found on his self-titled album. Finally, disc three, Impossible Love (1979), is Lucas’ lost second album. The album, produced by the legendary Don Was, highlights Lucas’ smooth songwriting and near-"yacht rock," while never betraying the true artistry and craft of a once-in-a-generation talent.

PRE-ORDER IMAGES OF LIFE

Rainy Days Available

On Streaming Now

Rainy Days (1970-1974) captures Lucas’ early ’70s period, the most consequential of his career. It was at this time that a rejected Warner Bros. songwriter demo was transformed into one of the most significant (and overlooked) private-press folk albums ever made. The compositions Lucas created between 1970 and 1974 represent the  peak of his creative work, and the decisions he made about when and how this music saw release (if it was released at all) sealed his fate to be largely unappreciated in his lifetime. Rainy Days features stunning live performances, unreleased studio tracks, and intimate home recordings that reveal a musician at peak expressive power.

Metal Band 40 Cycle Hum Release New Single "Remember The Days" via TLG | ZOID, distributed by Virgin Music Group

Heavy-hitting metal act 40 Cycle Hum released their new single, "Remember The Days," via TLG | ZOID and distributed by Virgin Music Group

Anchored by vocalist Brandon Mitchell, guitarist Mark Zavon (Kill Devil Hill), bassist Matt Snell (Five Finger Death Punch), and drummer Francis Ruiz (Buckcherry), the band’s lineup delivers a focused, powerful sound built for today’s rock audience.

"'Remember the Days' turns back the clock to a simpler time. It hits the rewind button and shines a light on all the good times from back in the day," says the band.

Denny Sanders of TLG|ZOID shares, "I like to think working with 40 Cycle Hum is fulfilling a destiny. I was introduced to lead vocalist Brandon by our mutual friend Sen Dog at Cypress Hill's show with The Nashville Symphony. When Brandon gave me his cell number, I already had it in my phone yet neither one of us remembered meeting back in the day. Fast forward a couple months, Brandon sent me the record we had talked about that night at the show, and I was blown away at how good it was. Now here we are ready to rock the world."

Peter Tsiolis of TLG|ZOID adds, "When Denny sent over the music, I had no idea who it was I was listening to, but the minute the riff for 'Remember The Days' kicked in I was hooked.  The song brings you back to the late 1990s early 2000s.  It's fresh and full of energy.   40 Cycle Hum brings the attitude and the music that brings you back to when music was fun."

"Remember The Days" is now available on all major streaming platforms. For more information on 40 Cycle Hum, including upcoming releases and tour dates, visit their official website and follow them on social media.

There Were Wires Announce "Vessel" + Share "Massive House Fire" Video

THERE WERE WIRES are thrilled to announce their new album Vessel. It's the cult Massachusetts post-hardcore band's first album in 20 years, and they return with a fully realized and evolved sound — rather than a nostalgic throwback.

The album arrives June 26 via Iodine Recordings. Pre-order it here.

The band has also shared the new single "Massive House Fire." Watch the video below.

The track arrives fast and unguarded — a sudden ignition from There Were Wires that settles into a barely controlled burn.

"Immediate and merciless, no bullshit," the band states. "Huge riffs and anguished vocals dominate, briefly breaking to expose flickers of vulnerability before the flames close in again. The song is haunted by inevitability, the knowledge that nothing survives intact — 'No one's getting out alive.'"

There Were Wires formed in the late '90s and became a part of Boston's underground hardcore/punk/metal landscape. From tiny basements to big stages, they quickly gained notoriety in New England for their intense and chaotic live shows. Signed to Iodine Records, they released several 7", a self-titled LP, and 2003's Somnambulists EP before abruptly disbanding in 2004.

While the members stepped away into different projects and distant states, the friendship and connections remained. In 2023, There Were Wires reunited for a couple of one-off shows in Cambridge, MA and Providence, RI. What was intended as a single weekend quickly became something more, as the energy of playing together again made clear there was unfinished work.

Vessel marks the return of There Were Wires after more than two decades, capturing a band reshaped by years, loss, and persistence. From their genesis in Boston as a brash and chaotic hardcore punk band, TWW has morphed into a different beast — older, wiser, and heavier than ever before. The record moves elementally between caustic attack and contemplative restraint, balancing intensity with moments of space and reflection. Themes of fear, grief, and exhaustion surface throughout, shaping a body of work that feels both lived-in and immediate. Vessel holds the accumulated experience of the past, expressed with clarity and purpose.

ABOUT VESSEL:
In 2022, There Were Wires met up to rehearse for a couple upcoming reunion shows. Drummer Ryan Begley, guitarist Thomas Moses, bassist Jebb Riley, and vocalist Jaime Mason were joined by long-time friend and guitarist Joseph Thomas. After dusting off old songs, the group began writing; quietly and without expectations, allowing the material to take shape slowly and naturally. Still endowed with the collaborative DIY spirit of their youth, TWW produced and recorded Vessel themselves over 20 months at a modest home studio. Brief but productive sessions were conducted while the band members were individually experiencing major life events; the weight of which is reflected in the lyrics and evoked in the music. The recording became an opportunity to process outside occurrences in real time: Like examining a gaping wound up close before the stitches commence.

With the absence of tight deadlines and answering to no one but themselves, the band were able to wander creative paths that financial and time constraints had previously deemed out-of-bounds. Mutual trust and encouragement guided the process, and as a result, a wide array of sonic textures and lyrical themes are present across Vessel’s 10 tracks. New and unexpected elements feel just as "at home" as the still-present assault of guitar/bass/drums/vocals that longtime listeners might expect.

While their self-titled album ran almost entirely on pure adrenaline and shirt-grabbing emotion, and Somnambulists took risks and hinted at musical growth, Vessel sees TWW ignoring the strictures of genre, and producing their most creative and heartfelt songs to date. Through time, trust, and life experience, There Were Wires have created their most immersive and fully realized work.

New Eternal Evil Single - "Eyes of Wrath" -

This March, Swedish metal ragers ETERNAL EVIL return with their third album 'Forever Feared.' You can check out the album's first single, "Eyes of Wrath," Below

Following the release of the furious 'The Gates Beyond Mortality,' ETERNAL EVIL wasted no time, immediately embarking on their quest for world domination. Carving their path through Sweden’s vast music landscape, the band quickly claimed their spotlight—opening for In Flames at the legendary Dalhalla, sharing the stage with the mighty Cavalera Brothers two nights in a row, and delivering a full-throttle set at Sweden’s largest rock gathering, the Sweden Rock Festival.

With the name ETERNAL EVIL firmly etched into the minds of Scandinavian metalheads, the band has poured their entire soul and relentless dedication into their new album, 'Forever Feared.' Strengthening their ranks with two of Sweden’s finest musicians—drummer Felix Wahlund and bassist Adam Sjö—the band elevates their sound to new extremes.

Drawing from their roots in thrash and black metal, ETERNAL EVIL have fused every influence they’ve ever embraced and pushed the boundaries of their genre further than any band in their league.

The album’s artwork reflects a deeply personal struggle: serpents symbolize the hardship and betrayal that have surrounded the band, while the hand that strangles the snake stands as a powerful statement—no matter the challenge, ETERNAL EVIL will always rise above, prevail, and conquer, no matter the cost.

ENSLAVED Reveal Sea Shanties 'Fire Marengo' And 'Anna Lovinda'

Norwegian progressive trailblazers Enslaved are honoured to reveal their latest creation - two unique recordings of sea shanties, made in collaboration with the Storm Weather Shanty Choir, who hail from Bergen, Norway's great sailing ship the Statsraad Lehmkuhl.

The shanties are titled 'Fire Marengo' and 'Anna Lovinda'. 'Fire Marengo' is a traditional shanty, whilst 'Anna Lovinda' was written by the late sailor and Norwegian cultural figure Erik Bye.

Enslavedexplained the collaboration:

"Enslaved was formed on the western edge of Norway, where mountains fall into the sea and history is carried by wind and tide. Bergen is not simply a coastal city; it is a threshold — between land and ocean, between myth and lived experience. The sea is not scenery here. It is memory, labour, departure and return.

Among the most powerful living symbols of this heritage is Statsraad Lehmkuhl, the great Bergen tall ship that still sails the world’s oceans. Around this vessel lives and breathes the shanty tradition — songs born of rhythm, rope, salt, and collective effort. From this environment emerged Storm Weather Shanty Choir.

Our connection to the ship began in 2014, when the Tall Ships Races concluded in Bergen. We were invited to compose and perform a commissioned piece on the deck of Statsraad Lehmkuhl. Metal echoed across the harbour that evening — a meeting of ancient wind-powered technology and modern amplified ritual. It felt less like contrast and more like continuity.

Since then, a friendship has grown — particularly with Haakon Vatle, director of the ship’s foundation and one of Norway’s most devoted custodians of the shanty tradition. He often remarks that sailors were the first metalheads — people who faced elemental forces daily and answered them with song. There is truth in that. Shanties were not entertainment; they were functional incantations — rhythm as survival.

In November 2025, during the choir’s 20th anniversary concert in Bergen, we joined forces on the traditional “Fire Marengo” and the Norwegian shanty “Anna Lovinda,” written by the late sailor and cultural figure Erik Bye. The collaboration felt less like fusion and more like recognition — two expressions of the same coastal inheritance meeting at the centre.

After the performance, it was clear that this convergence should not remain ephemeral. We met again in early 2026 to record the material — not as novelty, but as continuation

Because at the centre — at mið — we find not isolation, but shared origin. Wind, rhythm, voice. The same pulse that once moved sails now moves amplifiers. The same call-and-response that coordinated labour now shapes modern ritual.

The sea remembers. And so do we."

Watch the visualizer for 'Fire Marengo' below:

Never faltering, Norway’s iconic Enslaved continue to exist as one of the most original and dependable components in our scene's indestructible backbone. Possessing the reputation as one of the most riveting live acts around, they never fail to offer us talent of the highest calibre, always doing justice to their signature black/progressive sound. Enslaved was formed in 1991 by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson, releasing their first demo Yggdrasill in the summer of 1992, their legendary mini-album Hordanes Land coming out in 1993, and with their debut full-length Vikingligr Veldi arriving in the spring of 1994.

Enslaved are a band in stellar form - a band at its most existentialist and self-conscious, proud Bergeners bearing the torch of their hometown’s extraordinary musical history. Their most recent material shows Enslaved at their most unleashed and thought-through - a lethal combination unfurling a potential that’s easily rekindling the furor of their early works while dancing gracefully through their most ambitious, most haunting and most musical tunes yet. A contradiction? Life itself is a contradiction. And yet we all live to prove it wrong.

Enslaved are:
Ivar Bjørnson | guitars
Grutle Kjellson | vocals
Arve 'Ice Dale' Isdal | guitar
Håkon Vinje | keyboards, clean vocals
Iver Sandøy | drums

Out Now - IRON SAVIOR - Awesome Anthems Of The Galaxy

After reigniting their cosmic engines with Machine World – Reforged in 2025, IRON SAVIOR return from the stars with their most daring mission yet: Awesome Anthems of the Galaxy. Building on the modern firestorm of their Noise-era classics, this new release catapults the band into uncharted territory as IRON SAVIOR takes some of the ’80s most iconic pop hits and forge them into blazing power metal epics, charged with their signature energy, precision, and unstoppable spirit.

From the electrifying rush of A-ha’s “Take On Me” and the thunderous drama of Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds,” to the cinematic pulse of Jermaine Jackson & Pia Zadora’s “When the Rain Begins to Fall” and the adrenaline-fueled Michael Sembello hit “Maniac,” IRON SAVIOR transform timeless hits into a heroic, melodic, full-throttle power metal journey.

“After the huge success of the 2002 Condition Red bonus track ‘Crazy’ (Seal), which was actually used in an HBO TV show,we have been asked by fans and media almost constantly to do a complete cover tracks album. So… two decades later, here we are!” quotes frontman Piet Sielck. Awesome Anthems continues the transformation from pop-to-metal in IronSavior style as started with Seal’s ‘Crazy’ and Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams.’ We are absolutely proud of the outcome, which never loses the original vibe of the tracks but yet is 100% IRON SAVIOR. Just listen yourself... I guarantee a lot of smiles while doing so!”

With Awesome Anthems of the Galaxy, IRON SAVIOR fuse nostalgia and futurism, passion and precision, proving once again that the past can shine brighter than ever when reforged in metal.

Of Virtue Declare War On New Track "The Art Of Love"

Michigan metalcore outfit, Of Virtue, have torn open a new would, as they've released their brand new single, "The Art Of Love", via Arising Empire. Following the explosive reception to their previous single, "Death Of The Altar", today's brand new single arrives as Of Virtue's latest chapter in an already commanding year, building on the world they established on their 2023 record, "OMEN", which has amassed an impressive 65 million streams since its release. Fans can listen to the new single Below.

Where "Death Of The Altar" turned addiction and self-destruction inward, "The Art Of Love" widens the lens, zeroing in on the quiet, yet deafening, devastation of a connection that consumes more than it gives. Co-written alongside Lee Albrecht (Bilmuri, The Devil Wears Prada, etc) and Evan McKeever (Starset, Koe Wetzel, etc), "The Art Of Love" and "Death Of The Altar" continue the band's ongoing focus on the emotional and relational toll that addiction, mental health, and the stigma surrounding both leave in their wake.

Of Virtue have never shied away from the harder truths, and "The Art Of Love" exposes the way that love can become its own kind of war of attrition, one fought in silences, sacrifices, and the slow erosion of your core.

On reckoning with everything that love can cost you, vocalist and guitarist Damon Tate shares:

"Sometimes you have songs that embody more of the existential problems we have in the world and other times, you just need that blunt force reminder that we all go through a lot of the same things. Toxicity in relationships will exist until the end of time - scorned lovers that are navigating their own character growth while refusing to let go or move on from abusive situations.

Love is one of the most powerful and complex emotions we can experience in our lives. The right person makes you levitate above the clouds and can also make you feel like you're living in a nightmare every day. This song brings our self worth, value and how we accept/show that love to ourselves and others into question."

Harnessing the potent fusion of powerful melodies and emotionally charged lyrics, Of Virtue maintain a steadfast commitment to authenticity, consistently redefining the genre while staying true to their artistic essence. Beloved across 35 countries and having performed at multiple Danny Wimmer festivals, Upheaval, Full Force, Summer Breeze, and Pulp Summer Slamamongst many others, it's no surprise that they've shared stages with bands such as Slipknot, Bad Omens, Nothing More, and Three Days Grace. Beyond their musical prowess, the metal powerhouse also serve as passionate mental health advocates on and off stage. Often seen using their platform to raise awareness and openly discuss these vital issues, Of Virtue have become a source of hope and inspiration for countless fans facing similar challenges.

Carrying forward the spirit of their 2023 record, "Omen", Of Virtue continue to champion vulnerability, community, and the belief that no one is defined solely by their worst decisions. With "Death Of The Altar" and "The Art Of Love" standing as the next chapter, the band further their evolution with a fearless, unflinching look at what it means to reclaim your life, even when it means burning down everything that once felt familiar.

ABOUT OF VIRTUE

In the face of omnipresent change, OF VIRTUE has never wavered, forging a legacy that stands as a testament to the power of reinvention and a refusal to surrender. Since the band’s inception, their music – a punishing-yet-melodic mix of hard rock, metal, and alternative – has mirrored that ambition: unexpected and ever-shifting, always rooted in raw emotion.

That restless spirit is fully realized on “DEATH OF THE ALTAR,” the band’s new single and first release since 2023’s Omen. Built on jackhammer riffs, skittering industrial electronics, and ethereal production, the track surges from claustrophobic tension into a widescreen, soaring chorus showcasing contrasting vocal styles of Tyler Ennis and Damon Tate – equal parts soulful and caustic. The shift lands like the split second before impact, amplifying the song’s central theme: confronting the moment when devotion turns into self-destruction.

The track arrives as the first glimpse of the band’s forthcoming fourth album and follows a period of rapid ascent: 2023’s Omen propelled the Michigan-based act to more than 65M streams, 4M YouTube views, and tours and festival appearances alongside Slipknot, Gojira, Bad Omens, The Used, and Three Days Grace, yet their momentum has always been fueled by more than accolades. Drawing inspiration from their diverse ethnic backgrounds (Chinese, Vietnamese, Mexican, Black, and Irish heritage), Of Virtue finds strength from these distinct perspectives, shaping their chemistry, songwriting and shared sense of purpose.
