ACIDOSIS Release New Single "Arrival" from Upcoming Album Arrival

ACIDOSIS have released their new single "Arrival", the title track and opening statement from their upcoming album Arrival, due March 27, 2026.

"Arrival" is a fast-moving heavy metal track built on a driving power groove and relentless momentum. The song blends classic galloping metal with modern weight, combining the forward motion of IRON MAIDEN, the density of MASTODON, and the aggressive vocal delivery associated with NUCLEAR ASSAULT. It is melodic, intense, and focused on propulsion rather than excess.

The lyrics take inspiration from the alien abduction sequence in the cult film Fire in the Sky, specifically the fear and helplessness of being taken without control over what happens next. That scenario becomes an allegory for impending doom and moments when resistance is no longer possible, leaving only the option to endure what is coming. In that sense, the song also reflects the tension of what lies ahead on the rest of the album.

As the opening track and title track, "Arrival" establishes the tone and intent of Arrival. It functions as a declaration of presence and direction, setting expectations with a balance of melody, heaviness, and groove. The song serves as both an entry point and a warning, preparing listeners for what follows.

Arrival is a full-length album nearly 20 years in the making. Originally drafted during Katzman’s teenage years, the songs have been brought back to life by a re-formed ACIDOSIS lineup featuring Katzman on bass and vocals, Diego Edsel, Deo Budnevich, and Jonathan Rusten on guitars, and Harry Schwarz on drums. The album was produced by Katzman and Ryan Haft, mixed by Haft, and mastered by Howie Weinberg. Art is by Juan Montoya (TORCHE) and layout by Perry Shall (GREEN DAY, BLACK KEYS).

With a driving intro, a rollercoaster verse, and a chorus built to shout, "They Live" serves as a powerful reintroduction to a band that never truly left. It’s protest music disguised as a pit starter.

About ACIDOSIS

ACIDOSIS is a heavy metal band originally formed in Miami by Ben Katzman and Diego Edsel during high school. Rooted in thrash, punk, and traditional metal, the band channels the spirit of teenage rebellion through sharpened musicianship and a love of riffs that hit hard and stay stuck in your head. Now based in Los Angeles, ACIDOSIS has evolved into a multigenerational lineup that includes Katzman’s former guitar student Deo Budnevich, who began touring with the band at 14 and now shreds alongside his mentor.

Known for chaotic live shows, politically-charged lyrics, and hook-driven songwriting, ACIDOSIS has shared the stage with acts like D.R.I., NEGATIVE APPROACH, and the JERRY ONLY MISFITS. After years of hiatus and other musical ventures, Katzman resurrected the band with renewed fire, recording the long-overdue debut Arrival, a collection of songs originally written in high school and reimagined with full force.

ACIDOSIS blends the power of early METALLICA and ANTHRAX with the urgency of MUNICIPAL WASTE and the melodic sensibilities of classic IRON MAIDEN. With art by JUAN MONTOYA (TORCHE) and design by PERRY SHALL (GREEN DAY, BLACK KEYS), the project is a full-circle realization of the band's past, present, and future.

This is riff worship without irony. Punk speed without slop. Metal hooks without ego. ACIDOSIS is built to shred, sweat, and scream until the tape runs out.

Bizarrekult Fights for Control on New Single "Avmakt"

In keeping with black metal’s fiercely individual spirit, Bizarrekultbegan its journey in Norway as a lone wolf. Much like the previous two retreats into the studio from lone mastermind Roman V., his upcoming third album emerged slowly and painstakingly from a deeply personal crisis. But the post-black metal luminary continues to expand his tortured vision by not breaking so much as bending with the genre’s storied traditions. On Alt Som Finnes, he confronts all there is with devastating clarity.

Today, Bizarrekult is releasing the third and final advanced single from Alt Som Finnes (All There Is). Caught between blistering rage and shadowy despair, “Avmakt” (Powerlessness) fights for control against the powers that be.

This song deals with feeling like you have no control”, Roman says. “We carry on as bystanders, powerless over the direction of our lives”.

Alt Som Finnes comes out February 20, 2026 on Season of Mist Underground Activists.

No one emerges unscathed from Alt Som Finnes. But while riddled with regrets, album closer “Tomhet” breaks new ground as the first Bizarrekult song sung in English. “Am I alone like this? No, we are many”. It’s a damning realization, but also a call for all of us to become something greater.

Of Virtue Confront Sacrifice & Self-Sabotage On "Death Of The Altar"

Michigan metalcore outfit, Of Virtue, have released their brand new single, "Death Of The Altar", via Arising Empire alongside a haunting new video. Teased across the band's socials in the lead-up to the release, the track arrives as Of Virtue's first new offering of 2026 and a vicious continuation of the world they build on their 2023 record, "OMEN", which racked up an impressive 65 million streams since its release. Fans can listen to the new single HERE and watch the brand new video Below.

Built on tight, searing riffs, gut-punching breakdowns, and a chorus that refuses to let go, "Death Of The Altar" leans into the intensity and emotional honest that have become Of Virtue's calling card. Co-written alongside Lee Albrecht (Bilmuri, The Devil Wears Prada, etc) and Evan McKeever (Starset, Koe Wetzel, etc), the track features the band's ongoing focus on addiction, mental health, and the stigma surrounding both, turning that internal fight into something loud, physical, and communal.

Directed by none other than Blackwolf Imaging and Levine Pictures, the "Death Of The Altar" music video pushes those themes into stark, ritualistic imagery that blurs the line between sacrifice and liberation. It sees the band confronting the weight of their own devotion, refusing to keep sacrificing themselves to old expectations and narratives.

Harnessing the potent fusion of powerful melodies and emotionally charged lyrics, Of Virtue maintain a steadfast commitment to authenticity, consistently redefining the genre while staying true to their artistic essence. Beloved across 35 countries and having performed at multiple Danny Wimmer festivals, Upheaval, Full Force, Summer Breeze, and Pulp Summer Slamamongst many others, it's no surprise that they've shared stages with bands such as Slipknot, Bad Omens, Nothing More, and Three Days Grace. Beyond their musical prowess, the metal powerhouse also serve as passionate mental health advocates on and off stage. Often seen using their platform to raise awareness and openly discuss these vital issues, Of Virtue have become a source of hope and inspiration for countless fans facing similar challenges.

Carrying forward the spirit of their 2023 record, "Omen", Of Virtue continue to champion vulnerability, community, and the belief that no one is defined solely by their worst decisions. With "Death Of The Altar" standing as the next chapter, the band further their evolution with a fearless, unflinching look at what it means to reclaim your life, even when it means burning down everything that once felt familiar.

Be sure to stay tuned for more Of Virtue news coming very soon.

Jamey Johnson Shares "More Of What Matters" to Him in Newest Release

Jamey Johnson releases “More Of What Matters,” a powerful and poetic reminder of what’s truly important in life, today, Jan. 30. Listen to “More Of What Matters” below.

Produced by The Kent Hardly Playboys, Johnson co-wrote the song in 2007 with Keith Follese and Jon Stone and had been saving it for just the right moment. That moment is now, and Johnson’s vocal delivery reflects his fresh insights from maturity, life experience and wisdom.

“Back then, I wrote that from the perspective of somebody who needed to find more things that matter,” Johnson says. “Looking back on a perspective of 20 years down the road, that guy was naive and didn’t know the gravity of what he was writing. At this age, it hits home. It’s time.

“(The Mavericks’) Raul Malo was a dear friend and passed away at 60,” he says. “There’s a clock ticking on my life too, and I don’t know when it will be over. I’ve got to reset my priorities and do what is important to me or I will be a life unlived. I don’t want to be too busy and distracted on the road to forget the things that really matter.”

“At that time, it was an awareness of what happens in our business,” Johnson says. “Those lines came to me, Keith and Jon in that writing room in a very honest way. That was exactly where I was at the time, looking around and recognizing, man, you can chase that star forever and never catch anything that was worth a dime.”

This is a message Johnson now heeds in his own life. He spent the last two decades of his life on tour, taking him away from his home and family much of the year. He married attorney Brittney Eakins in 2025 and remains determined to keep his priorities in check.

“Now there’s a big part of me that wants to come home and focus on that for a while. I’m still going to tour, but I’m not going to do it so much, and not let it take me as much from home.”

Johnson originally recorded the song in 2007 and intended on including it on his critically acclaimed 2008 album called That Lonesome Song, which was certified 2x-platinum.

“I’m not really sure why I didn’t, but I’m glad now that I didn’t so that I still have it to release today,” says Johnson, who re-recorded a new version of the song for this release. “But I guess at the time I was focusing on something else.

Lonesome Song and Guitar Song both did really well. I’m not sure that song would’ve fit either album at the time, as far as its content and message. It really fits now for sure.”

This marks the start of a new year full of new music from Johnson, who joins Kris Kristofferson as the only two writers to have won both the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Association Song of the Year Award twice in the same year, with Johnson winning for “In Color” and “Give It Away.”

This continues his collaboration with Warner Records Nashville and his own Big Gassed Records, which began with Midnight Gasoline in 2024. That album, his first new album of solo material in 14 years, was ranked No. 4 on Billboard’s list of Top Country Albums of 2024.

Since releasing Midnight Gasoline, Johnson has written and recorded more than 50 songs at the Cash Cabin studios in Hendersonville, Tenn. While he has performed a few of these new songs during his tour, he will release many recorded versions throughout this year.

“I’ve been hearing people say for the longest time, ‘I wish you’d put out new music,’” he says. “Well, here goes!”

Sicily Rose Signs with Off Road Records and Releases Debut Single "Annabella Mae"

Off Road Records has signed rising singer-songwriter Sicily Rose, and she debuts with her powerful single, “Annabella Mae,” arriving today. The signing marks a major milestone for the Montana-raised artist whose raw storytelling and fearless honesty announce her as a new voice in country music.

Written by Bonnie Dymond and Nik Lazcano, “Annabella Mae” is a lyric-rich song that explores loss and its lasting impact, drawing from real-life conversations about how tragedy shifts perspective. Built on vivid imagery and a cautious, mournful melody, the track centers on memory, vulnerability and everyday awareness, grounding a personal story in a broader reflection on safety and the lessons that remain.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be signed with Off Road Records,” shares Sicily. “This feels like the beginning of something real, and I’m beyond grateful to build the future together with a team that truly believes in me!”

Sicily is a multi-talented force making her mark in the entertainment industry with a massive social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat. She has accumulated more than 30 million views and continues to connect with fans worldwide through her bold personality and authentic style.

Raised in Montana by a single mother, Sicily was surrounded by music from an early age. Her household was filled with singing and shared listening, with a foundation rooted in classic and contemporary artists that shaped her. With a deeply musical family, music was always present, whether through voices in the room or instruments being played, and it became clear early on that it was the path she wanted to follow.

Influenced by artists like Miranda Lambert, Fleetwood Mac and Reba McEntire, Sicily’s sound reflects a balance of honesty, strength and emotional clarity. Away from the stage and studio, she finds grounding in simple routines, spending time back home in Montana with her horse, vintage thrifting, fishing in Tennessee and being with family. That perspective carries into her music, where authenticity remain at the center of her journey.

Annabella Mae” is available now on all digital streaming platforms.

HÉR Premiere Debut Album 'Monochrome'

HÉR are seekers and storytellers. Their debut album, Monochrome, reflects polar extremes: fire and ice, violence and tenderness, bravery and care, the brutality of war and the solace that’s brought by peace.

“Throughout Monochrome, HÉR move freely between free jazz, folk, world music and deep Nordic-rooted atmospheres, without losing coherence”, Metal Epidemic writes in a 4/5 review.

“It’s as if Steve Von Till decided to score the Poetic Edda”, Jon Barbas writes for Heavy Metal Philosophy.

Monochrome comes out tomorrow, Friday, January 30, but you can hear all seven stirring songs today by listening to the full album stream on the Season of Mist YouTube channel.

Monochrome balances restraint with intensity. Throat singing, bowed strings, percussion and subtle electronics intertwine to form an album that feels both ancient and immediate. “Chant” opens with amidst a meditative expanse before moving into the spirit of the Icelandic fjords on “Needles and Bark”, trance-like introspection on “Patience in Observation,” the grounded momentum of “Going Down,” and the fervent, almost hymn-like force of “Praise the Day.”

“HÉR — meaning ‘here’ in Icelandic — is more than a name; it is a call to presence” the band says. “We stand ‘here,’ united by rhythm, voice, and story, ready to bring the raw essence of the North to those who are willing to listen, feel, and be transformed. Sit here with us — sestu hérna — and witness what begins now.”

By exploring the human nature described in Norse mythology, the musicians make a deep insight into the emotions embedded in its verses. They bring out the dark beauty of the North and its extremes: fire and ice, violence and tenderness, bravery and care, the brutality of war and the solace that peace brings, struggle and feast, the milky sweetness of honey and the salty tang of blood, love and hatred, birth and death, beginning and end, terror and awe…

Sestu hérna, sit here… sit here and listen, sit here and grow, sit here and drift away.

Ray Hawthorne Steps Out of the “Sidelines” with First Single of 2026

Everyone's favorite pop punk disruptor, Ray Hawthorne, is back! After ending 2025 with the unbridled chaos of his sophomore album, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real" the Los Angeles-based firebrand returns today, with his first release of 2026: an unapologetically anthemic new single, "Sidelines". Fans can listen to the new single Below.

Caught between motion and paralysis, "Sidelines" captures the feeling of being stuck on the edge of your own life, shouting at stoplights, and cursing the street signs in a city that doesn't feel like home anymore. Hawthorne pushes his signature mix of heartbreak, sarcasm, and emotional volatility into darker territory as he trades punchlines to let his guard down in a way that feels both unnerving and strangely hopeful.

Never one to miss a chance for a little chaos and nostalgia, Ray Hawthorne shares:

"When I was a kid my mom wouldn’t let me buy CD’s with parental advisory labels on them. No cursing music for me. But I NEEDED it in my life. The forbidden fruit. The rebellion. Fred Durst and such. So this lead to some interesting work arounds. For those of you that don’t know (or weren’t born yet), Offspring’s Americana CD didn’t have a parental advisory sticker on it. Which was pretty fly. So I was able to trick my mom into buying it for me. I made it through about two weeks listening to Americana in secret before I got ballsy. One fateful day I played the album for my cousin while my mom was getting ready for work in the next room. Bad move. The Offspring left my life that afternoon, and Americana was almost immediately given to one of my mom’s coworkers. Sometimes I like to wonder where that CD is today. Does she still have it? Did it become a family heirloom? Is it gathering dust at a goodwill store in New Jersey? Did it get passed down and inspire some other kid to fight the system with three chords and a dream? We’ll never know. But what I do know is that I just put out a new song. It’s called Sidelines. I hope some kid breaks his parent’s rules to listen to it. That’s the dream.”

Renowned for his work in North Kingsley, the acclaimed project alongside Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down, Hawthorne initially captured hearts as the Heartbreak Hero with his inaugural solo release "Heartbreak Feels Good in a Place Like This". Building on his solo work, his debut record "Ray Hawthorne Sucks" further cemented his status as a bold new voice in pop punk, quickly amassing a devoted following and over 18 million streams across all streaming platforms for his magnetic charm and razor-sharp wit.

Blending heartbreak, sarcasm, and just the right amount of emotional stability, Ray Hawthorne leads with a messy kind of hope, turning emotional freefall into something you can scream along to. Where debut album and his firstborn, "Ray Hawthorne Sucks", leaned into an earnest DIY vulnerability, his latest record, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real", took a turn and tapped into the restless defiance of a secondborn. The 15 tracks helped embrace the chaos, laugh at the pain, and maybe, just maybe, allow us all to find a little redemption along the way.

Starting from the very real possibility that Ray Hawthorne is just a guy screaming into the ether (and somehow making it sound catchy), his catalog has become a refuge for anyone who's ever felt too loud, too sensitive, or too much. Loud, petty, and deeply cathartic, Ray Hawthorne is proudly one of the most unapologetically honest voices modern pop-punk.

Be sure to stay tuned for more Ray Hawthorne news coming very soon.

ABOUT RAY HAWTHORNE

Do you remember that episode of Degrassi where Ashley really wants Craig to tell her he loves her, but Craig gets all panicked and can’t tell her that he does? It causes so much drama in their relationship. She begins to question her feelings for him and because of that, he becomes seemingly unsure of his feelings for her. So, in an effort to quell the bad vibes, Craig writes a song that includes lyrics IMPLICITLY AND EXPLICITLY stating that he loves her. (Total banger by the way, the only song of his I like better is the one he sings at the battle of the bands after the two inevitably break up, it’s also about Ashley. I believe it’s called ‘What I Know’) Anyway, Craig was only able to admit he loved Ashley in song form, but you as the viewer are left wondering ‘Does he really love her, or was this just his solution to end the drama?’ Or, ’Is this truly the only way he can express himself because he’s kind of nervous about speaking his true feelings outside of the structured environment of a song?’. I tend to believe it’s a mixture of both. So what I’m trying to say is, this collection of songs is kind of like that. I always feel like I have so much to say but often feel a bit too vulnerable when discussing my actual feelings. So for the majority of my life, I’ve just written them into songs instead. These songs can be quite vulnerable even if they seem silly at times. So now you’re left to wonder... am I telling the truth or just trying to get rid of Ashley’s bad vibes?

AGNOSTIC FRONT Unleashes Lyric Video For "You Say" And Announces European Leg Of "Echoes In Eternity" Tour

NYC’s legendary hardcore pioneers AGNOSTIC FRONT have released the official lyric video for “You Say”, off of their latest album, Echoes In Eternity. About AGNOSTIC FRONT:
Founded in 1982, AGNOSTIC FRONT stand among the most esteemed pioneers of the hardcore genre. No band comes close in sonic and socio authenticity and sincerity, where the struggles of survival on the streets have quite literally given life to a sound that remains as impactful today as it was over four decades ago. AGNOSTIC FRONT‘s battering, socially critical sounds serve as the foundation of true New York hardcore and helped initiate the emergence of crossover thrash. Following a slew of pummeling offerings, the band, led by the inimitable roar of Roger Miret and Vinnie Stigma's legendary charismatic guitar playing, continue to showcase unapologetically honest lyrics and signature aggression in Echoes in Eternity.

POWERPLAY Announce New Single "Liberosis," Signs To Terminus Hate CIty

Miami hardcore band POWERPLAY enter a new chapter with the release of their latest single, "Liberosis," marking the band’s first release since signing with Terminus Hate City. The track features a guest appearance from Andrew Neufeld of COMEBACK KID, adding another surge of energy and connection to the song’s message.

“Like many newer bands, we were born out of the pandemic,” says vocalist Adam Hussler. “We had all been writing and playing music with various other projects for many years. PowerPlay was actually never supposed to be a touring entity or anything it has become, but just a musical outlet. Like all things, it evolved, and we just rode the wave, so to speak.”

That growth and perspective are at the heart of "Liberosis." The track confronts mental health struggles and the long standing emotional battles many people face every day. Built as an anthemic rally cry, the song centers on the realization that while life can feel overwhelming, no one has to face it alone.

"Liberosis" delivers a message of acceptance and solidarity. It reflects the understanding that we can only control certain aspects of our lives while drawing strength from friends, family, and community.

About POWERPLAY:

POWERPLAY is a hardcore band from Miami, Florida, formed in 2021 during a time when the world had slowed down but emotions were running high. What started as a creative outlet between longtime friends quickly gained momentum, turning into a full force band built on honesty, intensity, and connection.

Made up of Adam Hussler on vocals, Julius Lopez on drums, Andrew Herrero on bass, and Oscar Rodriguez on guitar, POWERPLAY bring together years of experience from various projects across the South Florida scene. Their sound draws influence from SICK OF IT ALL, BLOOD FOR BLOOD, WHERE FEAR AND WEAPONS MEET, and BURIED ALIVE, blending classic hardcore urgency with deeply personal themes.

Lyrically, POWERPLAY focus on real life struggles, mental health, personal responsibility, and the everyday weight of being human. Songs like "Liberosis" channel those themes into anthemic, shout along moments built for both personal reflection and packed rooms.

Since forming, POWERPLAY have built their name through relentless touring and high energy live performances. They have shared stages with bands across the hardcore scene and appeared at numerous festivals and tours throughout the United States and Central America. Their 2024 EP Sealed Envelopes helped establish their presence, while continued touring and new releases have pushed the band into a new phase, including their recent signing to Terminus Hate City.

At their core, POWERPLAY are driven by authenticity. They write music that reflects their own lives, struggles, and perspectives, creating songs that connect through shared experience, unity, and the strength found in community.

Pittsburgh postpunk-shoegaze outfit LOWSUNDAY unveils 'Soft Capture' from new 'White EP'

Legacy postpunk-shoegaze outfit Lowsunday has shared 'Soft Capture', with a new video by Jer Herring. This is the second single from the 'Low Sunday Ghost Machine - White EP', following 'Love Language'. Released via Projekt Records and ranking second among Post-Punk.com's Best EPs of 2025, this is the band's first record of all-new material since 1999.

Born in the mid-1990s within the local Pittsburgh scene, Lowsunday (initially known as Low Sunday Ghost Machine) emerged as a "retro-futurist" pioneer, blending darkwave and shoegaze long before the genres saw their modern revival. Their legacy was cemented with their debut album 'Low Sunday Ghost Machine' and the 1999 masterpiece 'Elesgiem', both of which were re-released via Projekt Records over the past 18 months (for their 30th and 25th anniversaries, respectively).

The band dissolved, leaving behind a cult reputation for mercurial sounds and blistering guitar work that set the stage for subsequent generations of alternative artists. Following a nearly 25-year period of inactivity, the band resurfaced as a duo in 2025—consisting of original members Shane Sahene (vocals, guitar, synth, bass, drums) and Bobby Spell (bass, guitar, drums).

"With 'Soft Capture', we wanted to layer vintage synths over a droning bass line, topped with a wandering guitar melody. As the guitar descends, we felt it taking on a darker tone, but then it creates a bit of a silver lining as the melody climbs back up. We used the lead guitar feedback almost like a theremin, letting it melt through the background," says Shane Sahene.

"Lyrically, we were thinking about the traps of life and the ways we often submit to things, but the song eventually circles around with an optimistic glimpse of having the opportunity to run away. We feel like the backing vocals on the chorus are what really bring that sense of strength and hope to a situation that might otherwise feel like a surrender."

Serving as both a reflection and a resurgence, the 'White EP' ushers in a welcome return, marked by superb production and a renewed creative clarity, bridging three decades of distinct sonic legacy with balanced doses of escapism, dreamlike sounds, drones and feedback. This first of a two new EPs planned this year, their crystalline shimmer, classic song structures and melodic hooks shows their atmospheric sound to be as timeless and relevant as ever.

The 'White EP' is a natural expansion for Lowsunday, building upon guitar-driven atmospheres, synth textures, emotive vocals and drum beats. A confident return to form that explores darker yet more expansive sonic territory, they bring atmospheric noise and, at more delicate moments, a dream pop air of deeper melancholia. Distilling years of sonic exploration and inspiration, lyrically and sonically, classic post-punk rhythms and atmospheric layers merge to express raw and geniune emotion.

The 'Low Sunday Ghost Machine - White EP' is out now digitally everywhere, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp, and as a vinyl release, limited to 200 copies. The 'Low Sunday Ghost Machine' reissue and limited edition 7" of 'Static / Besides' can also be found on these platforms.

Septicflesh Celebrate 15 Years of The Great Mass with Special Anniversary Reissue

Since the ‘90s, Septicflesh have elevated death metal to a fine art. Alongside their Athenian brothers-in-arms Rotting Christ and Nightfall, real-life flesh and blood Spiros and Christos Antoniou rose from the Greek underground alongside virtuoso shredder Sotiris Vayenas. After the trio re-communed with drummer Fotis Benardo at the Season of Mist table during the 2000s, the maestros set to work on composing their greatest masterpiece.

Today, Season of Mist is celebrating 15 years of The Great Mass by announcing a special anniversary reissue. Fans can now own this classic album on transparent red-and-black marbled vinyl. This new edition also includes a color poster and embroidered patch.

ABOUT BODYSNATCHER:

There are many clichés about battling adversity. That if you fall down, you get back up again. That what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. That it’s the journey that’s important, not the end result. That the struggle is worth it, that you need to suffer to make great art. It’s not always true, of course, but Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home (via MNRK Heavy) certainly makes a strong case for that argument. The fourth full-length from Melbourne, FL deathcore outfit Bodysnatcher, it follows 2024’s brutal Will Putney-produced EP, Vile Conduct and serves up another powerful barrage of uncompromising deathcore across 10 incredible tracks that see the four-piece—Kyle Medina (vocals), Kyle Carter (guitar), Kyle Shope (bass) and Chris Whited (drums)—turn the catharsis up as loud and as visceral as it will go.

Of course, that’s nothing new for the band. If you’ve heard Vile Conduct, or any of the three albums that preceded it—2017’s Death of Me, 2020’s The Heavy Void or 2022’s Bleed-Abide—you’ll know this is a band who have always pitted themselves against personal tragedy, who have fought on individual levels against the dark depths of a despair (often inspired by their own experiences of death). Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home is no less harrowing.

Black Metal Punks FINAL DOSE Stream New EP via Decibel Magazine

London's FINAL DOSE returns with 'Endless Woe,' an EP of vicious, and unrelenting hostile blackened punk violence. The five song offering is now being exclusively streamed via Decibel Magazine and can be heard at THIS LOCATION.

'Endless Woe' will be available in vinyl, cassette, and digital formats via Wolves of Hades on January 28 and will made available on Wednesday HERE.

In addition, Final Dose will be embarking on a European headlining tour with support from Prayer Position. The trek will kick off in London (UK) on February 4 and will hit twelve different countries until the final stop in Brussels (BE) on February 18. The full itinerary can be found below!

The cover artwork for Endless Woe was created by Final Dose vocalist BF and can be found below along with the tracklist and running times.

Forged in the aftermath of relentless movement and creative unrest, London's Final Dose returns with Endless Woe, an EP of vicious, and unrelenting hostile blackened punk violence.

Endless Woe follows up the debauchery of Under the Eternal Shadow, with five tracks that strip their blackened punk assault to its rawest core, distilling the band’s ethos into a harsher, more confrontational form. Short, vicious, and devoid of excess, Endless Woe sharpens aggression into purpose, pushing ferality and despair to the forefront.

Yet beneath the surface violence, Endless Woe carries a suffocating emotional weight. Subtle melodic fractures, desolate pacing shifts, and moments of stark bleakness inject a sense of hopeless repetition, mirroring the EP’s title in both sound and spirit; no catharsis, no escape, only the grinding continuation of inner collapse and inner turmoil

To be released by Wolves of Hades on January 28 on LP and MC, Endless Woe stands as a concentrated statement of fury and misery.

ETERNAL RECURRENCE Unveils New Single “Precious Stones,” A Chamber-Driven Take on Modern Symphonic Metal

ETERNAL RECURRENCE has released “Precious Stones,” a new single from the band’s upcoming self-titled debut EP, Eternal Recurrence, due later this year.

Blending modern metal with a chamber music approach to orchestration, ETERNAL RECURRENCE offers an alternative take on symphonic metal. Rather than relying on large orchestras or fully sampled arrangements, the project emphasizes the sound of real musicians performing real orchestral instruments, preserving nuance, texture, and human imperfection in an increasingly digital landscape.

Faced with the financial realities of independent production, ETERNAL RECURRENCE draws inspiration from the chamber music tradition. Unlike large symphonic ensembles, chamber music is written for smaller groups capable of performing in more intimate settings. This philosophy forms the foundation of the project’s sound.

All material on Eternal Recurrence was composed around a chamber ensemble led by German Dmitriev on violins, Steven Schumann on cellos, Maciek Szczyciński on double bass, and C. Alex Luke on piano. These elements are combined with aggressive guitars, lead work, and drumming rooted firmly in modern metal.

“Precious Stones” was the first song written for the EP, dating back to the COVID pandemic. Originally conceived as a straightforward metal track with no symphonic elements, early versions featured keyboards, rock organ, and a synth solo. After the project’s creative direction shifted toward a chamber string ensemble, the song was reworked with newly composed string arrangements. As a result, the orchestration plays a more supportive role on this track compared to other songs on the EP.

The single features two guest vocalists. Mordian of DIAMORTE and SHIELD OF WINGS delivers a powerful alto performance during the chorus and bridge, while James Dorton of BLACK CROWN INITIATE, DIAMORTE and NE OBLIVISCARIS contributes harsh vocals to the heavier sections of the song.

Lyrically, “Precious Stones” stands apart from the rest of Eternal Recurrence. It is the only song on the EP not written by C. Alex Luke. The lyrics were written by Jake Thiele, Luke’s former bandmate from UNTIL EXTINCTION.

Thiele reflects on the song’s themes below:

“My memory is a little hazy on the exact timeline, but I know that ‘Precious Stones’ was written at a time when the COVID pandemic and everything surrounding it was very much affecting everyday life.

I don’t think I need to list all the ways the pandemic messed with people’s minds and disrupted every facet of our existence, but one of the most frustrating parts of it was how political it became.

Anyone with something to gain from it weaponized it to try and take advantage in any way they could. It seemed like everyone, politically inclined or not, was divided into two teams, both of which were less interested in the general welfare of humankind and more interested in either profiting from the pandemic somehow, discrediting and defeating the other team, or both.

Combine this with other various contentious issues that were going on at the time, and people like myself who loathe politics and seek to avoid it as much as possible felt like we were being dragged into it against our will and forced to unequivocally choose one of the two sides, both of which were deeply flawed. Disagreement and compromise weren’t really on the table.

Even with COVID mostly in the rearview, all the various forms of media, social media especially, still seem intent on making sure everyone is sorted neatly into one of two boxes and reminding them that everyone in the other box is their enemy.

In short, ‘Precious Stones’ is about the futility and stupidity of the things that divide us and how we let them suck the enjoyment out of life.”
