Teen Sensation Kage Archer Shares "Static In My Head" Video — WATCH

Wichita-based teenage wunderkind KAGE ARCHER is back with the video for his ballistic new single "STATIC IN MY HEAD." Watch it below.

Yes, he's really 13, despite sounding like a seasoned veteran with major metal chops.

"I know everyone wants there to be some deep meaning but this one is just fun," he says. "It's fast as hell, it's heavy, but it's still super catchy."

It also follows Archer's recent single "BONDED BY BLOOD." Listen here.

Kage Archer is redefining the future of heavy music at just 13 years old. A multi-instrumentalist who mastered drums at four and self-taught guitar and bass shortly after, Kage found his true calling behind the mic. His rise began when a TikTok video of him covering Motionless in White's "Slaughterhouse" went viral, landing him on stage with the band at age 10 in front of 6,000+ fans, a performance Chris Motionless (Motionless in White Vocalist) dubbed a "Top 10 career moment." Known to collect high-profile performances like Infinity stones, Kage has demolished stages with Fit For A King, From Ashes to New, Alpha Wolf, and I Prevail. Now, with guidance from industry heavy-hitter Hiram Hernandez (Producer for Blessthefall, Saosin, Left To Suffer, etc.) and backing from The Artery Foundation, Kage Archer is stepping out of the cover scene to unleash his own original music and dominate the heavy music world.

Folk Metal Duo FORGOTTEN SHRINE Release New Single "Gods Of War," Inspired By The Music Of Skyrim

FORGOTTEN SHRINE traverse dramatic soundscapes and landscapes in the new single release, "Gods Of War." Drawing inspiration from the open-world, mythical realms of Skyrim, "Gods Of War" takes the form of a bard's song in FORGOTTEN SHRINE's characteristic dynamic style. The single is taken from the forthcoming full length Nox Aeterna, set to release independently on November 6, 2026.

Sofia Frasz comments on the origins of "Gods Of War": "I had the idea for this song way before Josh and I even started Forgotten Shrine. I first wrote the lyrics in February 2021, and was thinking about releasing an acoustic Exiled Hope EP at the time. I had wanted to make music that sounded like it could be a Skyrim-style bard’s song, but hadn’t quite found a place for it in the Exiled Hope canon yet. I finally revisited the song shortly after we started Forgotten Shrine, and recorded an updated demo in 2024. Then I sent the demo to Josh, and we embellished and reworked it together."

"Gods Of War" continues the overarching narrative of Nox Aeterna. The album's protagonists, the keepers of an ancient shrine dedicated to art, creativity, and freedom, are well on their way to finding the source of the approaching darkness. They grow weary, however, at the apathy of those they encounter on the road as the impending destruction of all creeps nearer.

Nox Aeterna was produced, mixed and mastered by Joshua Dalviken. The album artwork was created by Josh Alexander and Joshua Dalviken, with the cover art for "The Parting Glass (Reforged)" created by Josh Alexander and Tricia Alexander.

About FORGOTTEN SHRINE:

THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT—Feat. Stone Sour’s Josh Rand & Casandra Carson—Unveils Cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” + Visualizer

Today, THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT - the dynamic collaboration between guitarist and songwriter Josh Rand (Stone Sour) and powerhouse vocalist Casandra Carson (Paralandra, Casandra’s Crossing) – are thrilled to reveal their latest reimagining, a hard-hitting take on Led Zeppelin’s iconic “Immigrant Song,” out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

Josh Rand comments:

“Like 'Call Me,' we never planned to release 'Immigrant Song.' In 2019, we moved into a new house, with a new home studio. Really, the music was all put together with me just messing around with the vintage gear I had. Once I started working with Casandra, I asked her if she wanted to take a shot at this for the fun of it.”

Casandra Carson also states:

“Ironically, the first time I remember hearing 'Immigrant Song' was in Shrek the Third, haha!! The second I heard Snow White sing that Viking war cry, my soul and my senses lit up like I’d been struck by lightning. My dad told me it was a song by Led Zeppelin, and I became as obsessed as a kid who just tried chocolate for the first time. I couldn’t get enough. Years later, when I started performing in bands, 'Immigrant Song' remained at the top of my list of songs I wanted to cover. It was only fitting that I would suggest it to Josh, as well, when we first began working together. I guess now I’ll have to watch Shrek the Third again to celebrate our new release.”

Watch the Official Visualizer for “Immigrant Song” Below:

Stream/Listen to "Immigrant Song" HERE

Born from a shared musical vision and an undeniable creative chemistry, THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT represents a fresh and compelling artistic union. While Rand had long envisioned launching a female-fronted project, it wasn’t until 2020 - when a mutual connection introduced him to Carson - that the idea truly began to take shape. What started as an exploratory collaboration quickly evolved into something far more meaningful, laying the groundwork for a project driven by purpose and artistic synergy.

Musically, THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT fuses Rand’s signature heavy riffs and affinity for strong melodic hooks with Carson’s commanding and versatile vocal delivery. Drawing inspiration from classic metal, thrash, and progressive influences, the project channels the raw energy and spirit that first inspired Rand to pick up the guitar, while offering Carsonthe opportunity to explore new sonic and emotional territories.

Over time, the band has crafted a distinct sound that balances intensity with accessibility, underpinned by a natural creative partnership. Their material reflects a thoughtful and organic development process, allowing ideas to evolve freely and cohesively.

Lyrically, THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT sets itself apart by venturing beyond traditional rock themes, embracing broader narratives and concepts. Their songs often draw from history, social issues, and real-world tensions, exploring themes such as empowerment, resistance, and societal challenges. This approach adds depth and substance to their music, complementing its powerful sonic foundation.

“I’ve been dreaming about getting these songs out into the world and getting to play them live,” shares Kinsley. “Having a team like WME in my corner as we start developing that side of my career is really exciting, and I can’t wait to see what we build together. I’m beyond thankful for their belief in me.”

Through her music, she hopes not only to share her own story, but to give voice to the experiences and emotions others may struggle to put into words.

Kinsley began sharing her music through the intimate “Midnight Sessions” performances online before bringing her songs to songwriter rounds and stages around Nashville.

TOUR NEWS: Daughtry Announce Second Leg Of 20 YEARS UNPLUGGED

Multi-GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum rock band Daughtry have announced the second leg of their 20 Years Unplugged tour, extending the intimate acoustic celebration into 2027 with 26 newly announced dates. The new run opens January 23 at Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff, AR and closes March 7 at the Tabernacle Presented By iTHINK Financial in Atlanta, GA.

To celebrate 20 Years Unplugged,a limited allotment of tickets will be available for $20 at each show, while supplies last. Artist presale, VIP packages, and the $20 ticket promotion begin Wednesday, September 30 at 10am local and run through Thursday, October 1 at 10pm local.

Local promoter, venue, radio, and other presales run Thursday, October 1 from 10am to 10pm local. Tickets go on general sale Friday, October 2 at 10am local HERE.

Before the newly announced dates begin, Daughtry will take the first leg of 20 Years Unplugged across the U.S. this fall. The 22-date run opens October 12 at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy, NY and continues through November 14 at Majestic Theatre in Dallas, TX, with support from Buffalo, NY singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Perdz across all shows. Tickets for the first leg are on sale now HERE.

20 Years Unplugged pulls arena-sized songs into a stripped-back setting where Chris’s unmistakable voice, the scrape of a guitar string, and the quiet before a chorus carry the weight. The format brings fans closer to the lyrics and stories threaded through two decades of Daughtry, connecting the catalogue that built the band with the heavier, more emotionally exposed music defining them today.

The second leg arrives during an active 20th-anniversary campaign for Daughtry. In July, the band released There and Back Again, an 11-track collection of newly rerecorded versions of catalogue cornerstones including “It’s Not Over,” “Home,” “Over You” and “What About Now.” At the same time, the SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM era has produced No. 1 singles “ARTIFICIAL,” “PIECES” and “THE BOTTOM,” keeping the anniversary rooted as firmly in the band’s creative present as in the songs that made them one of modern rock’s defining commercial forces.

Void Sector Zero Announce Thrashing Debut Album Dead Space Enigma

Powered by the gravitational pull of a thousand suns, Void Sector Zero brings together three of extreme metal’s brightest burning stars in guitarist Christian Muenzner (Necrophagist, ex-Obscura, ex-Alkaloid), vocalist and bassist Alex Weber (Revocation, Malignancy, Exist), and drummer Gabe Seeber (Decrepit Birth, Abigail Williams, Carach Angren). While inspired by past greats, the star-powered band’s upcoming debut album, Dead Space Enigma, shreds a hole through the space time continuum with their modern spin on progressive thrash metal.

Today, Void Sector Zero are announcing Dead Space Enigma with a music video for the album’s stellar lead single. “Vortex Divinium” whirls at warp speed through Area 51.

“This song was inspired by Bob Lazar’s story about Element 1-15, the element that he says was used to fuel the anti-gravity propulsion system of the alien space craft that he was working on”, Muenzner says. “Musically, the song has a very proggy and neoclassical twist with traces of ‘70s prog and jazz fusion”.

Watch the music video for “Vortex Divinium” below:

Dead Space Enigma comes out December 11, 2026 on Season of Mist.

The stars of Void Sector Zero first crossed paths in 2022. Muenzner, Weber and Seeber hit it off while all three were playing together in Obscura during the world tour for A Valediction.

“I’ve always wanted to play tech-thrash”, Muenzner says, citing Coroner, Voivod, Toxik, Martyr, Hexenhaus and Aspid as personal favorites. “When I decided to start my own band in this style, I thought of Alex and Gabe. Not only are they both great players, but I knew from our time in Obscura that we had great chemistry both on and off stage”.

“I am extremely excited to be creating music with Christian and Alex as Void Sector Zero”, drummer Gabe Seeber says. “Playing with musicians of this caliber will push me to progress and become a better musician, and there’s no better label to represent us and this sound than Season of Mist”.

“Dead Space Enigma was a real blast to work on”, vocalist and bassist Alex Weber says. “Chris wrote a very demanding set of tunes that really pushed my bass and vocal techniques to new levels. To date, I feel like this album has the best recorded bass tone that I’ve ever gotten. It also led me to try new things with my voice that I didn’t know I could do. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”

Despite the band’s lengthy incubation period, Void Sector Zero hatch something truly mind-blowing on Dead Space Enigma. Fueled by Seeber’s adroit maneuvering from behind the drum kit, “Vortex Divinium” zips through Lazar’s twisted tale from Area 51. “Become god in the blink of an eye”, Weber growls with superhuman force. Catchy melodies fall atop gravity-defying bass runs like stardust as Muenzner shoots off into a shimmering solo that’s more well-traveled than Halley’s Comet.

“Bluesy guitarists like Jimi Hendrix and Robin Trower influence my approach to soloing as much as Yngwie Malmsteen and other great metal guitarists”, Muenzner says. “Whether it’s neoclassical or classic heavy metal, I like to add contrasts to my solos by introducing new colors”.

The video for “Vortex Divinium” was filmed and directed by Jesus Hernandez.

Despite the band’s lengthy incubation period, like an experiment secreted at Area 51, Void Sector Zero hatch something truly mind-blowing on Dead Space Enigma. The album isn’t bound to one particular concept, but each song opens another portal into science fiction or cosmic horror. Lead single “Vortex Divinium” whirls at hyper speed through the warped mind of Bob Lazar. Propelled by gravity-defying bass runs, a dizzying guitar solo shreds the cosmic divide between tech-trash,‘70s prog rock and jazz fusion.

While Void Sector Zero gravitate toward tech-thrash, Dead Space Enigma is teeming with life-forms from across the metal universe. Guest vocalist Morean commands the freakishly fast march of “Cybernetic Infantry” from behind an eerily catchy vocoder. Under the influence of hard rock and trad metal, the twisted time signatures of “Extraterrestrial Disassembly” unravel into a DMT trip gone horribly wrong. “I like albums that offer an escape from reality”, Muenzer says. “Ammutseba” bangs heads in honor of the great Lovecraftian deity, but the all-consuming power of its chorus speaks to this band’s place amongst the gods of extreme metal. “A prophecy / Was once foretold”.

On Dead Space Enigma, Void Sector Zero emerge with a star-studded explosion of progressive thrash metal.

BRYMIR Cover Scooter's "How Much Is The Fish" + Video!

In the midst of their darkest album to date, Finnish melodic death metallers BRYMIR show their fun side with an unexpected cover. Reworking Scooter's Eurodance classic ''How Much Is The Fish,'' the quartet delivers an additional nod to their stance against ocean pollution, ''Herald of Aegir," from the previous album, Voices In The Sky (2022). Live performances of the song regularly see salmon plushies in the audience, just like live pre-tastes of ''How Much Is The Fish'' over the festival summer have called fans into their very own ''fish pit." BRYMIR certainly know how to hype up their album!

What We Leave Behind releases this Friday, October 2, 2026 via Napalm Records. The band is currently playing release shows in their native Finland and will tour Europe in February and March 2027 — find all dates below.

BRYMIR about "How Much Is The Fish":
''As the album on the whole is definitely the darkest we've done so far, musically and thematically, we wanted to close the album with a bonus song of something defiantly upbeat and silly… And as children of the ever-hopeful golden age of the Eurobeat, we found the perfect song in this classic. When life gives you lemons, transform the juice and keep asking the important questions—like 'How Much is the Fish'? If anybody finds the answer, please contact us immediately.''

Watch the Official Music Video for "HOW MUCH IS THE FISH" BELOW:

Helsinki-based BRYMIR make a strong case for melodic death metal with What We Leave Behind, coming October 2, 2026 via Napalm Records! In a darkening world full of existential dread, the Finnish band — singer Viktor Storm Gullichsen, guitarist Joona Björkroth, bassist Jarkko Niemi, and drummer Patrik Fält — takes a stand with their most sinister album yet. Again heavily influenced by their singer’s main job as a movie sound designer, BRYMIR create vast cinematic soundscapes around their sometimes bleak, sometimes hopeful, but always honest messages.

Strongly tied to current societal developments, BRYMIR deliver an equally raw and fantastical album. Their darkest output yet, the band’s fifth album hits especially hard—and leaves absolutely no open questions behind. As introspective as it is outspoken, What We Leave Behind is an epic plea for humanity.

BRYMIR about What We Leave Behind:
"Since our previous album, the world certainly hasn't gotten any lighter—and as art reflects life, our fifth album, What We Leave Behind, is the darkest creation we've made so far. Both musically as well as thematically… 'What We Leave Behind?' is the core question explored from many perspectives: from personal hopes, dreams, and fears to societal developments to dark sci-fi and existential despair. Join us on this dark emotional journey, at times violent, at times beautiful, and always honest in baring the soul of what is BRYMIR — no compromise, everything raw and real."

UK Alt-Metal Trio TROPIC GOLD Release New Single "sodium" + Official Music Video

Today, South East England trio TROPIC GOLD have released their brand new single, “sodium,” their second for new label partner, BLKIIBLK, following the release of “WITCH HOUSE” (feat. Harpy) in June.

The band shares:

“‘sodium’ is a story of two things being drawn together despite the destruction— two people, or one and something they can’t let go of. The element of sodium itself is in tears and sweat, what you can taste and feel in exhausting and painful situations. 'Will you take that freak in me?' is the vulnerability at the center of it — asking whether the unfiltered parts of you can be accepted. ‘sodium’ is knowing you’re falling, but craving the feeling enough to give in anyway.”

Watch the Official Music Video for "sodium" Below:

TROPIC GOLD pulls from metalcore, industrial noise, electronic production, and modern alternative culture without ever sitting comfortably in one lane. Self-produced and creatively self-driven, the South East trio have built early momentum through a mix of huge hooks, abrasive electronics, and the kind of volatility that makes their songs feel like they could completely fall apart at any second.

Support from BBC Radio 1, Kerrang!, and Rock Sound has helped push the band well beyond underground buzz, while tours alongside WARGASM, Resolve, Windwaker, and Normandie have quickly established them as a genuinely impressive live band rather than just another internet-heavy project.

The material following last year’s ‘SICK TO DEATH OF EVERYTHING’ EP feels sharper, heavier, and more immediate, leaning harder into contrast without losing the hooks underneath it all.

With appearances at Download Festival and a stage headline slot at 2000trees Festivalthis summer, TROPIC GOLD are starting to feel less like a promising new act and more like a band properly breaking through.

TROPIC GOLD Live:

October 15th - London @ Downstairs at The Dome

October 16th - Manchester @ The Deaf Institute

SILL CROW Revisits it's Musical Legacy with the Re-Release of Four Essential Albums

Some music deserves a second life.

SILL CROW is giving fans exactly that with the re-release of four albums from the band's catalog: Sill Crow, Live From Charleston, Live From Charleston II and New Way.

The re-releases bring the band's music back into the spotlight, offering longtime listeners an opportunity to revisit four important releases while giving new fans a chance to discover the sound, energy and evolution of SILL CROW.

From the band's self-titled SILL CROW to the raw live energy captured across Live From Charleston and Live From Charleston II, and ultimately the musical journey represented by New Way, the collection provides a look at different chapters of the band's story.

FOUR ALBUMS. ONE BAND. A NEW CHANCE TO HEAR IT ALL.

Re-releasing a catalog isn't simply about looking backward.

It's about recognizing that great music can find an entirely new audience years after it was originally released.

For existing SILL CROW fans, these albums offer a chance to return to familiar songs and memories. For listeners discovering the band for the first time, the re-releases provide an opportunity to experience the catalog as a complete body of work.

Live From Charleston and Live From Charleston II capture another side of SILL CROW, the live experience while Sill Crow and New Way showcase the band's recorded work across different points in its musical journey.

Together, the four releases tell a bigger story.

Where the band came from. Where it went. And the music that remains.

A CATALOG WORTH REDISCOVERING

In an era where music is constantly moving forward, revisiting a band's catalog can reveal something that sometimes gets lost in the endless stream of new releases:

The music doesn't have an expiration date.

SILL CROW'S four re-releases give fans an opportunity to press play, turn up the volume and rediscover the songs on their own terms.

Whether you've been with Sill Crow from the beginning or you're hearing the band for the first time, there's never been a better reason to dive into the catalog.

SILL CROW BIO:

Sounds like gravel in your veins, mud in your heart, and pain in your soul. SILL CROW has returned from the crossroads, having stared down the devil himself, to bring you their very own brand of blues based alternative rock.

Led by Chris Roberts, and formed in 2015, they've unleashed a string of releases, notably their debut album in 2020, all of which showcase their unique blend of thoughtful songwriting, craftsmanship, and unbridled rock fury.

Manchester's CAULBEARERS announce new album, sharing the lead track 'Brothers At The Wheel'

Manchester-based outfit Caulbearers return with ‘Brothers At The Wheel’, an urgent and uncompromising single that confronts the structures of power governing modern life, while ultimately offering solidarity and collective action as an alternative to despair. It's is a rich and timely preview of their forthcoming album 'Come Back Home', out on October 30th via Single Cell Recordings..

A collective of musicians formed in 2007 and led by Damien Mahoney, Caulbearers are known for blending diverse musical styles, including soul, funk, hip-hop, dub, nu jazz, folk and post-punk influences. With contributors hailing from around the UK and Europe, their DIY ethic has coursed through every element of their releases, from design, production, videos and gigs to the recording process itself.

Mixed by Seadna McPhail (Badly Drawn Boy, Jah Wobble, Everything Everything, I Am Kloot, Happy Mondays) and mastered by Jim Spencer (New Order, Johnny Marr, Charlatans, Factory Floor) at Eve Mastering, this song was recorded by Mahoney and Chris Hamilton at Toast Recordings and Seadna McPhail at Airtight Studio..

'Brothers At The Wheel' traces a journey of political awakening - from a naive plea for those in power to change course before disaster hits, to disillusionment at the resulting hollow words and empty promises that leave the status quo intact.

“If we truly consider humanity as a brotherhood and sisterhood of equals, it seems the ultimate betrayal of our family to exploit, to oppress and to victimise others whilst creating structures that concentrate wealth in the hands of an ever-smaller, unaccountable minority,” explains Damien Mahoney.

“The 'wheel' in the title is that system -- a machine built to keep turning for profit and power, regardless of the cost to people, communities, or the planet.”

The song's resolution isn't despair but solidarity: a call for unity at the grassroots level, recognising that the same struggle echoes in other streets, other words, other languages. In resisting the forces intent on dividing us, the lyrics point to real power within the collective -- like a seed that can grow into something more balanced, harmonious, and connected.

The song's urgency isn't just lyrical -- it's built into the music itself. 'Brothers At The Wheel' comes straight out of the traps with an unrelenting groove: strings, bass, and keys locked into a single insistent pattern, guitar answering in the gaps, percussion driving it forward, while the vocal melody cuts its own path in short, sharp phrases that swap between landing on and off the beat.

Past the tempo shift, the song opens into a second movement: a soaring, wordless lament from ethereal folk artist Ruth Blake — beautiful and mournful, yet defiant, a celebration of the human spirit. Underneath, the arrangement builds in waves — guitars layering, cello and violin rising, keys, bass and drums gathering weight — swelling to a crescendo before dissolving.

'Brothers At The Wheel' is available everywhere digitally from September 29th, including  Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, the latter version also including a bonus radio edit, capturing the awakening in full — appeal, disillusionment, and the turn toward unity — within a tighter arc. On October 10, Caulbearers' album release show will take place at The Carlton Club in Manchester, joined by Ruth Blake and number of special guests, and support from John Haycock.

Kenny's Double No. 1: "Carry On" Is His 37th; "Remember Me" Is #1 Most Added

Never one to miss an opportunity to sling positive vibes and good energy, Kenny Chesney dropped Silver Sands Marina – and threw an album release party that saw an intimate crowd pack the Pinnacle for a full-band show that showcased six of the album’s 11 songs. Broadcast live on No Shoes Radio, the night celebrated his 21st album, but also the community of people who find their inspiration, joy and clarity in his songs.

“Three years in the making,” Chesney offered, “a lot of songs listened to, even recorded, to get to this moment, these stories and emotions, and I wanted to give it all directly to the people who’ve loved and lived this music with me. There is so much good happening, we should all experience it together. Man, did we! And it’s awesome to hear the reactions people are having…”

As “Carry On” goes to the top of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country chart for his 37th No. 1, the East Tennessee songwriter-superstar lands yet another first. “Remember Me That Way,” the surging song of deciding to own the thrills and magic of a relationship instead of the raging final moments, crowned the No. 1 as the No. 1 Most Added Song this week. Beyond the airplay No. 1, Chesney’s latest marks the first time Chesney had both distinctions at the same time.

“Carry On,” Chesney’s 100th charting single, became the first indie and only the third single to close the entire radio panel in its first week. As Chesney’s 62nd Top 10 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, it set a second record for the most country Top 10s.

“When they tell me this stuff, it’s a lot to take in,” Chesney says. “It gets harder the more you do this to find songs that stand out from what you’ve done, that say things you want to say – and you think other people will find themselves in, too. That’s really the point: the connection. Like my tours, I want this music to bring people together, to lift them up.”

With the move to HEY NOW Records, Chesney is finding new ways to connect with people – and expand how people explore and understand his music. With his first Talk Shop Live conversation viewed over 366,000 times and his new one topping 100,000, independent records stores across the country, including Austin’s Waterloo Records, Raleigh’s Schoolkids Records, Chicago’s Reckless Records, Minneapolis’ Electric Fetus, Oakland’s 1-2-3-4 Go!, Phoenix’s Stinkweeds and Nashville’s Grimey’s are hosting listening parties this week.

With another pair of No. 1s, the Pinnacle pop-up show served as a witness to Chesney’s enduring power. As Billboard reported, the show served as “a potent reminder that he’s an unyielding seeker of impactful songs in all their forms, not just breezy anthems.”

Less than 40 hours after releasing “Remember Me That Way,” the packed floor and wrap-around balconies were screaming along to the chorus. Whether releasing the past or just loving redirecting the angst, “Remember Me” seems to be the best of both worlds. By summer’s stadium-only Original Vibe Room Tour, the song should be a full-blown catharsis.

KAITLIN BUTTS TAKES HELLO, HONKY TONK LIVE AND IN PERSON WITH SPECIAL TOUR DATES TO CELEBRATE ITS RELEASE

With her fourth studio album Hello, Honky Tonk set to arrive October 30 via Republic Records, Tulsa-born singer/songwriter Kaitlin Butts is taking the album’s colorful cast of characters, theatrical spectacle and late-night energy on the road to celebrate its release with the Hello, Honky Tonk Live and In Person Tour.

The six-date run kicks off October 29 at Nashville’s Skinny Dennis, the day before the release of Hello, Honky Tonk, before making stops at Honky Tonks across Texas and Oklahoma in December with support from singer/songwriter Meels. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 2 at 10 a.m. CT at kaitlinbutts.com.

“I’ve spent so much time imagining this honky tonk and all the people who inhabit it, so getting to actually bring it to life in the rooms that inspired it feels really special,” says Butts. “I can’t wait to play these songs live and celebrate this record together.”

Hello, Honky Tonk Live and In Person Tour Dates
Oct. 29 — Nashville, TN — Skinny Dennis
Dec. 10 — College Station, TX — Harry’s Northgate
Dec. 11 — Helotes, TX — Floore's Country Store
Dec. 12 — Corpus Christi, TX — Brewster Street Ice House
Dec. 17 — Oklahoma City, OK — Tower Theatre
Dec. 18 — Fort Worth, TX — Billy Bob’s Texas

Named one of Rolling Stone’s most anticipated albums for 2026, Hello, Honky Tonk is a love letter to the honky tonks and nightlife that have shaped Butts while becoming a huge part of her life on the road. Recorded in Nashville with producer Tofer Brown (Carter Faith, Willow Avalon, Little Big Town), the album brings to life a bar like no other, populated by a cast of characters listeners might recognize from the dance floor, behind the bar or from the corner booth.

Inspired in part by the vaudeville vignettes of Chicago and Disney World’s Country Bear Musical Jamboree, Butts envisioned Hello, Honky Tonk as a place where all of these characters could coexist.

“The thought behind the concept was how in Chicago, the character Roxie Hart is dreaming up what her show would look like and all the people in it,” says Butts. “I picture all of this happening at Skinny Dennis here in Nashville. These are all the different people in the room. There's the bar fight that's happening. There's the bad girl that just got off work. There's me being the entertainer. There are so many people that really love the nightlife. It’s a connector for people.”

The upcoming tour follows a string of new music from Hello, Honky Tonk, including the recent releases “What More Could You Want,” “I Wanna Be Bad” and “Never Really Mine.” “What More Could You Want,” a Broadway-ready piano ballad and autobiographical sketch of a performer questioning how much more she has to give, offers an intimate glimpse behind the curtain of the album’s larger-than-life world.

“That song feels exactly word for word what I feel like every day,” says Butts. “This tug and pull of loving this and craving this and loving to be on stage, loving every creative moment but also being stressed out wondering, ‘Do you like me? Do I need to be shinier? Do you want more?’”

The album continues the momentum of Butts’ critically acclaimed Roadrunner! in 2024, a bold reimagining inspired by Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! that landed on numerous year-end best-of lists and featured her viral anthem “You Ain’t Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me),” which has amassed more than 157 million TikTok views and 67 million global streams.

SILVER SANDS MARINA Debuts with a Beyond-Packed Pinnacle Pop-Up Show

Kenny Chesney hit Nashville’s The Pinnacle with new music blazing. To celebrate the release of Silver Sands Marina, the eclectic 11-song record that embraces the nuances that define life, the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar threw an impossibly small pop-up show at Nashville Yards' venue to showcase the project, but also create an opportunity for No Shoes Nation to come together through the music. Beyond the few thousand who were able to get tickets to the gone-in-seconds performance, Chesney broadcast the concert live on his No Shoes Radio, Ch. 59 on SiriusXM.

Opening with the jubilant “Summertime,” Chesney ran straight into the surging “Here and Now” and “Beer In Mexico” before downshifting a little for the three-week No. 1 “Save It For A Rainy Day.” That momentum set up a three-song Silver Sands Marina mini-set that included the sweeping “Burn My Boat,” the euphoric heartbreak song “Goldfish” and the low slung, small town gossip swagger “Talkin’ Dirt.”

“Having listened to some of these tracks for two, three years,” Chesney says, “it was time for them to live out in the open. Playing those three songs back-to-back reminds me that it’s when the song meets the band and the people who love this music, we create a whole new relationship with the songs. There’s how we feel it, how people listening experience it – and what happens when we’re together.”

For an audience filled with college kids, people in t-shirts from various tours, Dolly Parton doubles celebrating 9/2-5, athletes, a section of industry VIPs, local fans, people who came in from Florida, South Carolina and Vermont, it was being part of a moment of arrival for an album the Associated Press proclaimed is “full-throated stadium country, with big hooks and bigger heart,” while Billboard raved is, “placing a premium on top-shelf songwriting that balances lyrical wit and emotional resonance.”

The 22-song set delivered a powerful take on “Silver Sands Marina,” a sing-along “Carry On” and the fullness of time “Remember Me That Way,” as well as “Ain’t Back Yet,” last played in 2015, the smoky, “Somewhere With You” or the life-recapping “I Go Back,” it was a night that focused on how you choose to view the moments.

On the plaza outside, HEY NOW Records replicated the massive Silver Sands Marina. Not only the pink building that graces the album cover, but a giant postcard, a massive plexiglass fishbowl with two larger than life goldfish, pier carnival games and photo booths, food trucks, a limited edition vinyl store and places to visit with old friends, people you just met and take pictures to remember the moment.

“One of the things I’ve learned from talking to people about this record, the songs they’ve leaned into is how hungry we all are to be together, that human connection – and the desire to turn down all the things that divide us. I put ‘Get Along’ and ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Alright’ into the set, too, because it hit me, that’s what people are seeking – and all the interviews I’ve done feel like the songs on Silver Sands Marina fill that void.”

Joining Chesney as a surprise walk-on was fellow East Tennessee dreamer/songwriter/guitarist Greylan James, who will open next year’s Original Vibe Room Tour. They shared the stage for “Born,” the bluegrass-harmonied life-defining celebration that the Academy of Country Music Song of the Year winner co-wrote, which became the title track of Chesney’s 2024 album.

“Country music runs on dreams,” Chesney said after the show. “And life runs on music. Over the years, it’s about how do you put the positivity, the philosophy, the hard stuff and the sheer joy into the world without preaching. Wherever people are, whatever people need – whether it’s a good time, a postcard to remember or somebody laughing about the gossip – I hope that’s what we’re putting out there. It’s what drew me to town, and it’s what keeps me seeking songs and taking this pirate ship out on the road.”

Glasswaves Share "SCARed" — WATCH + LISTEN

Glasswaves, an up 'n' coming, Rochester, New York-based trio that seamlessly blends dark pop, alternative rock, and electronic elements with a heavy and dynamic edge, recently announced their new album while (True). It arrives October 23 via SharpTone Records. Pre-order it here.

The band — Noah Rich [vocals], Owen Miller [guitar], and Brendan Curtis [bass] — shares "SCARed."

Watch the visualizer below.

The track is at once gorgeously creepy and crushing. It will escort you down the darkest hallways of your mind and grab you by the back of the neck with its artful ferocity.

"'SCARed' captures that moment when your thoughts turn to static, and you can't tell what's real, what's memory, or what's just yourself unraveling," explains Noah about the song's inspiration point. "From the moment Owen, our producer, and I got in the room with this song, we knew it was something special."

Regarding the album as a whole, Noah states, "while(True) is our most ambitious and personal release yet. Through the story of a failing medical technology company experimenting with dream manipulation, we explore themes of trauma, addiction, perception, and the unseen forces that shape the way we think. More than anything, this album represents our growth as writers. We challenged ourselves creatively, stopped following expectations, and made the record we truly wanted to make. We can't wait for people to experience the world of while(True) and find their own meaning within it."

In an effort to seemingly better understand and treat trauma, addiction, and obsession, a med-tech company called Liminal-Neuro runs psychological tests on various subjects by administering an experimental drug labeled "Neuro Veil."

When these experiments fail, a radiant ancient female entity known as “The Veil” materializes, embodying the subject’s most intimate desires. This manipulative force brings out the worst in her victims and incites unimaginable horror.

Undeterred by ethics, Liminal-Neuro's lead doctor makes it his mission to find her…

This story could certainly serve as the plotline for an epic sci-fi horror mini-series or even some actual news headline. However, it plays out in captivating fashion on Glasswaves’ full-length debut LP, while(True). The Rochester, NY trio set the narrative's action to a soundtrack electrified by bursts of cathartic metalcore, shockwaves of ethereal hard rock, and spasms of vulnerable dark pop.

Coupled with big screen-worthy storytelling, the collective, which formed in 2023 and steadily built a following through singles, an EP, and touring, instantly strike a chord on multiple levels.

"People will see things happening and choose not to do anything, because it’s easier than taking action,” explains Miller. "Developments like A.I. data centers deplete natural resources, but nobody seems to care. 'The Veil' represents this sort of selfishness. Even though the company Liminal Neuro promises to get rid of your fears and worries and empower you to become the person you want to be, the doctors are merely using everyone just to find 'The Veil.'"

Throughout 2026, the musicians assembled while(True) alongside producer Justin Spaulding, working out of Atlanta and New York as well as via Discord. The group mined a diverse swath of inspirations, spanning The Neighbourhood, Tame Impala, The Plot In You, Sace6, and Bring Me The Horizon.

Ultimately, Glasswaves have crafted a multi-dimensional world without comparison.

ABOUT COLDRAIN:

The title OPTIMIZE = OPTDEMISE is itself a warning: a caution against a world in which the rise of AI has come to symbolize humanity’s growing confusion over what it means to be human. More than a framework of “against AI” or “against technology,” this album calls for the liberation of the soul in response to a world that is steadily being bleached of color, and to the brutality of people who, having stopped thinking for themselves, continue to hurt one another. That is the reason coldrain continues to fight. And OPTIMIZE = OPTDEMISE is the album where that essence appears more youthful, pure, and unfiltered than ever before - a human fuse burning toward ignition.

Coldrain, the quintet that is about to release their 8th album, first emerged in Japan in 2007, proudly identifying themselves as a “loud rock” band. Their songwriting, heavily influenced by the nu-metal and emo/screamo movements of the 2000s, resonated directly with the youth culture of America at the time. Yet in the Japanese rock scene of that era, “loud music” was still largely associated with melodic punk and pop-punk. As a result of that advance, coldrain absorbed musical elements far beyond nu-metal and screamo alone. While maintaining melodies that carried a distinctly Japanese sense of emotion, they transformed into a chimera capable of crossing through every subgenre of rock. Their ability to be both heavy and endlessly pop became their greatest weapon.

Now, especially since joining forces with Century Media Records, the very fact that their music cannot be defined by a single attribute - and the very “in-between” quality of their style - has become a musical identity unconstrained by borders or genres, radiating an originality that stands among the strongest in the world.

coldrain are a band whose lives were changed by music that could never have been born in Japan, and yet they themselves are a hybrid that could only have emerged from the Galápagos-like environment of Japan. That is coldrain. Rather than needing to acquire a new place, coldrain were able to turn simply “being themselves” into music in its most unfiltered form. As a result, OPTIMIZE = OPTDEMISE is pierced throughout by a youthful rawness that feels almost impossible for a band nearing twenty years since its formation.
