About Morgan Wallen
When 15-time Billboard Music Awards-winner and current CMA Awards Entertainer of the Year nominee Morgan Wallen released his third studio album One Thing At A Time in 2023, its instant success left The New York Times proclaiming Wallen as “one of the biggest stars in pop, period.” One Thing At A Time has remained atop the all-genre Billboard 200 chart for 19 non-consecutive weeks and was the most-streamed album of the year on Spotify. The album’s 7x-Platinum single “Last Night” reeled in over 2.2 billion streams globally, becoming the most-streamed song of any genre in the U.S. across Apple Music and Spotify, and the longest running No. 1 solo song in Hot 100 history (16 weeks total). Recent collaboration with Post Malone, “I Had Some Help,” debuted at country radio with 167 first week adds, becoming only the second single in chart history to debut with the support of all reporting stations. Since its release, “I Had Some Help” remained No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 all-genre charts for six weeks and earned four nominations at the upcoming CMA Awards.

With 15 chart-toppers at country radio, Wallen played 10 countries/4 continents on his stadium One Night At A Time World Tour. Performing to over 2.4 million fans, One Night At A Time was named a Billboard and Pollstar Country Tour of the Year as well as People’s Choice Country Concert Tour of 2024, surpassing attendance records in numerous stops; including Neyland Stadium and Ohio Stadium, where Wallen became the largest weekend ever for both venues. The 38-show 2024 extension of One Night At A Time has led Wallen to over 50 stadium-plays, and included his first European run with seven shows in five countries. Wallen donates a portion from every ticket sold to his Morgan Wallen Foundation.

Singer/Songwriter Julie Williams Releases 'Tennessee Moon' EP

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Billboard’s Country Rookie of the Month Julie Williams, known for her soulful lyrics and authentic storytelling, is continuing to draw in listeners with her deep connection to nature and emotion. The queer singer/songwriter’s latest EP, Tennessee Moon, is available today, perfectly timed with today’s Hunter’s Moon. It follows recent releases “reckless road,” released on the Full Corn Moon and “just friends?”, which dropped on the rare Sturgeon Blue Moon. The releases all align with the full moon phases, as outlined by the Farmers' Almanac.

Billboard says her “keen artistic mission further evolves” on the EP noting the “intertwining elements of folk, ‘90s country, and pop with her soothing vocal.” Entertainment Focus calls the 2023 CMT Next Women of Country artist a “vital voice.” For Tennessee Moon Williams was inspired by some of her favorite singer/songwriters like Boy Genius, Kacey Musgraves, Allison Krauss, Emmylou Harris and Taylor Swift to create a story-driven sonic journey that was both dreamy and moody. Listen to Tennessee Moon HERE.

“Tennessee Moon was inspired by a picture that I took of one of my exes as they kayaked at Percy Priest Lake under a stunning Tennessee sunset,” shares Williams. “I watched this person - and our relationship - float farther and farther away from me, just as the sky was fading from orange and red to blue and gray. With that picture, and with this EP, I wanted to capture that wistful feeling - of trying to hold onto a beautiful, golden moment that you know in your heart is not going to last. This EP is an ode to my mid-20s - all the golden days, the dark nights, the flowers, and the dirt.”

Her Tennessee Moon Tour in support of the indie folk project kicked off Oct. 5 and will take her across the Midwest and East Coast with stops in New York, Columbus, Chicago, Philadelphia, and more. The tour resumes Nov. 7 at Nashville’s Blue Room. Tickets for the tour are available now at thisisjuliewilliams.com

In addition to the new EP and tour, Williams and her song “Southern Curls” will be featured in the upcoming Hulu docuseries “It's All Country.” Hosted by Luke Bryan, Williams joins a cast of stars including Mickey Guyton, Kane Brown, Wynonna Judd, Sheryl Crow, Lady A and Luke Combs for the series. With never-before-seen performances Bryan and guests will uncover the secrets, hidden inspirations and personal moments that shaped country music. Release date will be announced soon.

No stranger to the road, Williams has built her career there playing over 120 shows in 26 states in the past two years and captivated audiences at festivals such as Newport Folk Festival, CMA Fest, Tortuga Music Fest, High Water Festival, Cayamo, and AmericanaFest. She has also shared the stage with acts across genres, including Jason Isbell, Allison Russell, Mt. Joy, Devon Gilfillian, Brittney Spencer and Will Hoge.

Williams carries her mixed-race heritage and queerness as proudly as she carries her music. Raised in Florida, the singer/songwriter has been turning heads in Nashville’s country and Americana music scenes with her compelling mix of storytelling, soft-yet-powerful vocals, and indie folk production. That creative path is on full display with previously released “just friends?”.  The song, a blend of both classic country storytelling and queer reflection, was the first taste of new music from the EP. The video for the track, which just made its world premiere in Times Square via CMT, is a nostalgic, queer story that captures both the sadness and innocence of what romantic feelings for an old friend might have looked like. Watch the video for “just friends?” HERE.

Music has always been a part of Williams’ life - honing her singing talent in church and beach bars and belting national anthems before packed stadiums. She grew up listening to everyone and everything from The Chicks and James Taylor to Gladys Knight and Michael Jackson. Even though she was drawn to the storytelling of country music, she never quite found the sound that spoke to everything she was: Black, white, Southern, a woman, hopeful, truthful. So naturally, it was up to Williams to make this sound. “My music is mixed like me,” is how she describes it, “I want to tell the stories that need to be told.”

The Florida native started sharing those stories, and people listened. A student at Duke University, she was signed to Small Town Records whose alumni include Mike Posner and Delta Rae and sang as a vocalist for the Duke Jazz Ensemble. After graduating with a public policy degree in 2019, she moved to Nashville and found her musical home in the Black country and Americana scene. She was named in Rissi Palmer’s Color Me Country Class of 2021 and she was featured in a “PBS NewsHour” special on Black women in country music. In 2022, Julie joined the Black Opry, a collective of Black artists in country, blues, folk, and Americana music. Julie was named a CMT Equal Access artist in 2023, joining the mtheory backed program to support marginalized voices in country music.

“People want to hear black voices, black stories,” Williams says. “I was nervous about how my songs would be received by Nashville - but people want honesty. They want honest songs about real life, and for the artists they follow to take a stand.”

Tennessee Moon follows her self-titled EP, Julie Williams, with American Songwriter praising her “success through the power of her own voice” and the Tennessean noting she “discovers joy, maturation” on the project.

An activist at heart, Williams launched Green Room Conversations in March 2023, a series of performances and speaking on college campuses to raise awareness of sexual harassment in the music industry and her own experience with sexual violence. Williams hopes to empower the next generation of artists and industry changemakers and has already visited MTSU, University of Texas-Austin, and Duke with more campus visits planned for later this year.

“I’m writing my songs for the girl who cries in the shower as she tries to detangle her hair and is afraid to look in the mirror because she hates what she sees; for the 17-year-old who is just now learning to love herself; for the 20-or 30-something who is just trying to figure it out," shares Williams. "That’s who my songs are for.”

Argentinian-American indie pop duo Aerolinea present debut single 'What Moves You'

Argentinian-American indie pop duo Aerolinea present their debut single 'What Moves You', complimented by a dramatic video directed by renowned cinematographer Nico Purdía and filmed by Mariano Laguzzi.

This is the first offering from thei'All We Need' album, an eight-track offering slated for release on November 28, which also sees an appearance by drummer Kellii Scott of Failure elsewhere.

What began in April 2023 with an Instagram message led to a year of long-distance file sharing and meet ups in Florida and Argentina. Thus was born Aerolinea, comprised of Victoria Real and Eric Weissinger. Both are songwriters, vocalists, guitarists and multi-instrumentalists, with Eric in Atlanta and Victoria in Buenos Aries.

What begins with Eastern-influenced vocals at the outset shifts to a more powerful exhibition of Real's vocals, followed by those of Weissinger and then joined in unison. This dreamy track oscillates track between minimalistic pensiveness and intense euphoria for a sonic journey that is worth the flight.

As many recent creative projects, this one came to form during the pandemic, during which time the two artists had both taken part in an online music festival. The spark that led to their collaboration - a quest, you could say, given that both had ongoing in-person musical projects in their respective home cities. After sending some rough song ideas back and forth, they came to the realization that they each nurtured something special in each other, bringing them to new sonic realms worthy of that exploration.

Eric Weissinger shares, "This is our first collection of songs and is a record of how we created music together during our first year, before meeting in person. If it feels mysterious at times, it's because our future was a mystery to us. It was inspired by our separate lives, but also by the potential we had to make music together. We recorded in our homes in Argentina and the U.S. and did final vocals together in Florida. We played all instruments, and the engineering and production was shared via emails, file sharing, phone calls, and texts."

With passionate tandem lyrics, intertwining guitars and rhythms that sometimes groove and sometimes surprise, Aerolinea crafts a sound designed for romantics and misfits, for late nights and strange places.

"This project really allows me to explore my creativity in a completely different context, with challenges and surprises since we two creating together: it’s an amazing experience because we can nourish our musical ideas and new things emerge. Aerolinea itself it feels like following a third force, a muse," says Victoria Real.

Victoria Real honed her musical skills under the tutelage of King Crimson frontman and guitar legend Robert Fripp, first as a Guitar Craft student and later performing with the League of Crafty Guitarists. In addition, she has had a blossoming career as a solo artist, releasing four albums under her name with a fifth album currently in production. For the past few years, she has received accolades at the Cordoba Entertainment Awards (Premios CIEyA), winning the award for “Artist Revelation Rock of the Year” in 2021 and nominated for both “Artist of the Year” and “Rock Artist of the Year” in 2023 and 2024.

Eric Weissinger is most renowned as half of Atlanta-based dream-gaze duo I Am a Rocketship, who have released five albums and an EP. He was also previously bassist for Anne Richmond Boston (DB Recs). As a bassist, guitarist and singer in various project, Eric Weissinger had opened for bands such as The Wedding Present, The Black Crowes, James, Cracker, and Portastatic.

'What Moves You' is is out now, available from fine digital platforms everywhere, including Bandcamp, where the full 'All We Need' album (out November 28) is now available for pre-order via My Long Wknd Records. Aerolinea will be touring Argentina in the new year, kicking off at Buenos Aires' Bar Carnal on January 11.

AMARANTHE - RELEASE NEW SONG FADING LIKE A FLOWER (ROXETTE COVER)

AMARANTHE, release today a cover version of 'Fading Like A Flower' from Swedish pop rock legends ROXETTE. Re-visioning a classic song in their own forward-thinking synth-driven, metallic melody, AMARANTHE demonstrates their ability to inject new life into a classic song.

The band comments: “Being born and raised in Sweden meant that you are subjected to an absolute onslaught of ultra-catchy music, starting with ABBA all the way up to the present day, with some of the world’s greatest songwriters and producers hailing from here. One of the most successful acts to ever come out of Sweden is Roxette, and if you were young in the 80’s/90’s, their music was EVERYWHERE. To do a tribute to 1991’s “Fading Like A Flower” is something we half-jokingly talked about during a few years, and when the opportunity arose during “The Catalyst” recordings we jumped at it. Roxette’s melodies and arrangements fit Amaranthe like a hand-tailored glove, and we’re now really excited to share this cover with you all!”

Stream 'Fading Like A Flower' (Roxette Cover) here:
Amaranthe - Fading Like A Flower (bfan.link)

Formed in 2008, AMARANTHE walked their own unique path from the start. With a sound that combined the sharpest, cutting edges of melodic metal, electronic rock, and razor-sharp pop, their impact was immediate and undeniable. Kicking off with their self-titled debut in 2011, the Swedes blazed a trail through the European metal scene and beyond, swiftly establishing themselves as a dazzling one-off, not least due to the unprecedented triple vocal attack that paired clean tones with exquisite melodic sensibilities and feral growls. Over the next few years, the sextet steadily grew in stature, releasing a series of praised studio records that jabbed persistently at the boundaries of modern metal.

AMARANTHE is:
Elize Ryd | vocals
Nils Molin | vocals
Mikael Sehlin | growls
Olof Mörck | guitars, keyboards
Johan Andreassen | bass
Morten Løwe Sørensen | drums

ABOUT KREATOR

Decades into their game-changing career, German metal legends Kreator find themselves more successful and influential than ever. They’ve stuck to their guns, weathered the trends, and outlasted their peers – never once wavering from the ferocious noise that excited them as teens. If anything, that thirst for sonic warfare is just as strong, if not stronger, today. Where others have suffered from creative malnourishment and artistic uncertainty, something which even metal’s biggest and best are prone to, Kreator have always charged full steam ahead – thanks to the red-eyed conviction and fearless determination of founding singer and guitarist Miland ‘Mille’ Petrozza. On 1985 debut Endless Pain, the Essen innovators created the template for extreme noise to come, fusing elements of thrash and black metal in ways that had never been heard before. Their sophomore album of the following year, Pleasure To Kill, became one of the landmark albums of 1986 – making metal history alongside key releases from Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth. And onwards they marched, bringing hellish anthems to the masses in every album that followed, with a track record few could ever rival.

The last decade has been a particularly exciting time for the group, with 2012’s Phantom Antichrist proving how they could embrace modern production techniques and move with the times without forsaking the underground spirit and defiance which made them a household name in the first place. Its successor, 2017’s Gods Of Violence, saw them topping the German charts for the very first time in their career, a feat virtually unheard for a band of such thunderous intensity.

They returned in 2022 with their fifteenth opus Hate Über Alles – which marked their first studio album with Frédéric Leclercq (ex-Dragonforce, Sinsaenum) on bass, joining Mille, guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö and drummer Jürgen ‘Ventor’ Reil – the metal titans are once again channeling an unholy heaviness strong enough to tilt the earth off-axis.

Funeral Usher in Doom and Gloom on 'Gospel of Bones'

Once again, from the ashes,  Funeral  arise with another soul-crushing masterpiece. Gospel of Bones is an emotionally wrenching journey into the abyss of sorrow and the resilience of the human spirit from funeral doom's unwavering custodians.

Gospel of Bones comes out this Friday October 18th, but you can listen to all nine soul-crushing songs today on the Season of Mist YouTube channel.

Funeral channel the haunting beauty of life's bleakest moments into an auditory requiem, echoing with the weight of existence and the fleeting nature of solace. Gospel of Bones is crafted with the fervor of those who have walked through the valley of shadows, embodying the mournful elegance that has defined the Norwegian band's legacy since their very first notes in the early '90s.

This somber procession is led by drummer Anders Eerk, Funeral's beating heart and soul. He's joined by the solemn baritone of Eirik Krokord, a profesionally trained opera singer. Ingvild Johannessen adds haunting depth with his mournful violin playing. Together, they bridge the chasm between doom metal and classic folk musician, a distinction that's highlighted by the new addition of traditional Norwegian Hardanger fiddle to the band's arsenal.

Melancholy. Pain. Loss. Solitude. Those had been just some of doom metal main themes ever since bleak pouring rain and the sound of church bell in the distance gave birth to the genre on BLACK SABBATH self-eponymous debut over five decades ago. But how many musicians have actually been bearing in their very flesh those gut-wrenching feelings?

Anders Eek – FUNERAL’s founding member, drummer and indisputable leader since 1991 – doesn’t particularly see it as a badge of honour, but he’d be the first to admit that somehow, the “death and loss we had to go through over the years were extremely painful yet inspiring, as a musician and as a human being.” And indeed, ever since their very first rehearsal in a basement in their hometown of Drammen, just outside of Oslo, Funeral had been ridden with problems and tragedy. Originally inspired by CATHEDRAL, CANDLEMASS, BLACK SABBATH, TROUBLE etc, they very quickly set out to create the most depressing and slowest form of doom/death possible at a time when their home country was being hailed as the birthplace of black metal. They went through several labels over the years, only to see them bust soon afterwards. Plagued by recurrent line-up problems, they even lost two of their key members Einar André Fredriksen (bass) and Christian Loos (guitar) in 2003 and 2006, respectively, to suicide and overdose.

But somehow, Eek never surrendered, but instead overcame all those obstacles by releasing over the years a slab of classics, each with its own, distinct personality, from the utter misery of the delicate yet none-so-extreme 1995 debut album ‘Tragedies’ to the more melodic and accessible 2001 gothic/doom masterpiece ‘In Fields Of Pestilent Grief’ or 2012 symphonic masterpiece ‘Oratorium’. Still, after the 30th anniversary concert in Oslo, april 12th 2022, also featuring the original singer Toril Snyen on the track «taarene», “life got in the way” as Anders puts it. “Some of us had kids, others moved out. Even I had quite a lot of things going on in my personal life and, at least for a while, maybe less drive to keep on carrying on the weight of the band on my shoulders. I never stopped writing music though because it’s something I’ve always done anyway.

Roughly 20 tracks were composed throughout the Covid pandemic(9 of whom made it to the studio), and yet again recorded and mixed at Toproom Studio, by Børge Finstad.

Violinist Øyvind Rauset, from the cult Norwegian folk-rock band FOLQUE, is performing on 2 tracks as a guest musician, as well as Espen Ingierd, with his very distinct singing-style in the vein of John Lennon, Michael Gira (SWANS)etc from cult doom/death band BEYOND DAWN singing on 2 tracks.

The album also contains an instrumental cover song , written by Kjetil Selvik, and is a melancholic piece only consisting of harding fiddle and church organ.

The lyrical content of the album is an autobiography of life’s mishaps of drummer/composer  A. Eek, and deals with real darkness, misery, pain and loss.  A Gospel of Bones.

He continues, "The accompanying video has been captured out here on our ongoing European tour by director Jens De Vos, highlighting the passion and metal madness of these amazing shows where fans and band are one!"

"Liars & Thieves" was mixed by Jens Bogren and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios.

Blood Dynasty marks Arch Enemy's 12th studio album. The record features 11 new tracks full of the band's signature powerful guitar riff and guttural force.

Koe Wetzel Celebrates 3 New RIAA Certs at Sold-Out Red Rocks Finale of 'Damn Near Normal World Tour' U.S. Leg

Spanning 28 sold-out dates across the country, Koe Wetzel’s Damn Near Normal World Tourwrapped its U.S. leg emphatically this weekend, bringing the live show praised by the Tennessean for its “mix of reckless abandon and a veteran artist’s knowledge of how to move a crowd to believe in the power of intoxication and sensuality to gratify their wildest dreams every night” to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, even treating fans to the rarely-performed-live “Honey Pain.” Prior to the sold-out stateside finale, Wetzel was also presented with three plaques celebrating the new RIAA Platinum certification of current single “High Road” as well as the Gold certification of hits “Sweet Dreams” and “Creeps.”

“Every year that we’re out on the road seeing the fans singing every word of these songs, I think to myself that it can’t possibly get bigger or better – and then the next tour rolls around and it does,” he reflected following the show. “Red Rocks is up there with some of my favorite shows we’ve ever played and I’m so grateful to the people who show up every night. We can’t wait to keep this thing rolling across the pond... hope you’re ready for some rowdy Texas boys headed your way!”

Wetzel’s debut single at country radio, “High Road” feat. Jessie Murph, also continues its impressive momentum, cresting the top 20 at country radio (currently at No. 16 in just 14 weeks) while also impacting at Top 40 and Hot AC.

Following the release of his critically acclaimed fifth studio album 9 Lives earlier this year, which has accumulated more than 500 million audio/video streams globally after debuting at No. 15 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and No. 5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart (No. 2 among new releases behind only the “Twisters” soundtrack), Wetzel recently released fan-favorite track “Casamigos” along with an official music video and has teased even more new music on the horizon as he gears up to head overseas for a run of shows through November.

Wetzel will also bring the holiday spirit home to Texas this Christmas, with two Wetzel’s Wonderland Live shows set for Friday, Dec. 27 and Saturday, Dec. 28 in Austin and Fort Worth, respectively.

About Koe Wetzel
Koe Wetzel never met a genre wall he couldn’t tear down: The Texas singer-songwriter has earned a rabid audience for his songs that mix country, rock, hip-hop, and even Nineties grunge. His 2016 album Noise Complaint endeared him to fans with its no- holds-barred lyrics about drunken nights, broken hearts and stints in jail, and included the Gold-certified hits “Love” (feat. Parker McCollum), “Something to Talk About” and the infamous “February 28, 2016.” Wetzel’s 2020 major label debut, Sellout, only furthered his legend with the Platinum-certified “Drunk Driving” and “Good Die Young” plus the Gold-certified “Kuntry & Wistern.” The 2022 follow-up, Hell Paso, hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Country Albums and spawned hits on both the country and rock charts, including the Gold-certified “Creeps” and “Cabo.” To date, Wetzel has 3.4 billion total streams and has created a genuine experience with his live concerts, which he describes as “total chaos.” In 2023 alone, he sold more than 275,000 tickets, and appeared for a third time on POLLSTAR’s Top Worldwide Tours. Wetzel has played prominent festival sets this summer and opened for Morgan Wallen on the superstar’s One Night at a Time Stadium Tour in Texas, while also headlining his own Damn Near Normal World Tour, currently underway. His new album, 9 Lives (Columbia), is available everywhere now as Platinum-certified lead single “High Road” with Jessie Murph arrives as his debut Country radio single while also climbing both the Hot AC and Top 40 charts.

Dead Icarus, Feat. ex-Atreyu Singer Alex Varkatzas, Share "1 Million Days" Video

Dead Icarus, the new band of former Atreyu lead vocalist and Gold-selling artist Alex Varkatzas, as well as Gabe Mangold of Enterprise Earth and Brandon Zackey, recently announced their debut album ZEALOT. It will arrive October 31 via MNRK HEAVY. Pre-order it here. The band also wrapped its first tour with Enterprise Earth and Nekrogoblikon.

Produced and co-written by Mangold, ZEALOT is a precise and pummeling execution of airtight technical riffs, miles of solos, blast beat assault and battery, and screamed, growled, and sung vocals.

Today, the band has shared the video for "1 MILLION DAYS." Watch it below. It is inspired by classic '80s horror films, so it arrives JUST in time for the creepy season.

"'1 Million Days' is as close as Dead Icarus gets to a power ballad on ZEALOT," explains Varkatzas. "When I first started writing the lyrics, I thought it was about failing someone else and seeking their forgiveness. As I finished the lyrics, it became more first person and about letting one's self down and forgiving one's self for mistakes made. Sometimes, the weight we bear is placed upon our own shoulders by ourselves and only we can remove it."

He finishes, "The video is sort of a tongue-in-cheek homage to late '80s horror, filmed inside a haunted house that is housed inside a haunted building from the 1800s."

Mangold furthers, "Musically, '1 Million Days came from the intention of creating an epic, powerful, catchy, and emotional metalcore 'power ballad,' as Alex stated. I'm a sucker for all guitar things from the '80s, so naturally a catchy, singable, harmonized lead in the chorus was the first thing written and it set the tone for the rest of the composition. Don't let the word 'ballad' fool you, though. This song has some unexpected twists and turns as well that aren't a part of your conventional emotional rock song."

Dead Icarus leans on the uncanny creative union between vocalist Varkatzas, guitarist and producer Gabe Mangold, and drummer Brandon Zackey. The band truly gets its wings from the undying commitment made by its members. The musicians pursue their artistry with a resolute sense of focus, manifesting in the precise execution of airtight technical riffs, virtuosic solos, blast beat assault and battery, and hard-hitting vocals.

Countless fans worldwide initially got to know Varkatzas as co-founder and original frontman for influential Southern California metalcore stalwarts Atreyu. After two decades earmarked by chart-shaking success, a pair of Gold albums and Gold singles, sold-out shows around the globe, and critical renown, he embarked on his next chapter in 2020. Enter Mangold. Celebrated as guitarist for Enterprise Earth, he and Alex instantly clicked and forged a musical partnership, yielding their 2024-released Ad infernum EP. Inciting critical applause, Revolver promised, "Fans of old-school Atreyu will definitely enjoy."

Dead Icarus will also embark on their first tour this September with Enterprise Earth and Nekrogoblikon. All dates are below. More worldwide touring is planned for 2025 and beyond.

Girlschool originated in the UK during the New Wave of British Heavy Metal Scene in 1978 and is frequently associated with contemporaries and friends Motörhead. They are the longest running all-female rock band, still active and rocking hard after more than 40 years.

Girlschool enjoyed strong media exposure and commercial success in the U.K. in the early 1980s with three albums of 'punk-tinged metal' and a few singles.

In the 1990s and 2000s, they concentrated their efforts on live shows and tours, reducing considerably the production of studio albums. During their long career Girlschool toured all over the world, performing at many of the biggest rock and metal festivals as well as co-headlining with or supporting some of the most important hard rock and heavy metal bands in the genre.

They maintain a worldwide cult following and are considered an inspiration for many succeeding female rock musicians, such as The Donnas.

Original members Kim McAuliffe, Denise (Drench) Dufort are still in the band to this day, original member lead guitarist /vocalist/songwriter Kelly Johnson died of cancer in 2007 and was replaced by lead guitarist/songwriter Jackie (Jax) Chambers in 1999.

On July 28, 2023 at FORTY-FIVE years young, the British hard rock royalty came out swinging with their 14th studio album 'WTFortyfive?,' an outstanding and deliciously dirty declaration that age is a number that shows how much real raw attitude you have when it really counts. Kim, Denise, Jackie and Tracey leave the grit under their finger nails and the scuzz on their crusty leather boots as they riff and stomp their way through 12 statements of intent showing major attitude, some great melodies, and a consistent crunch to every guitar.

Lineup:

Kim McAuliffe: rhythm guitar, lead and backing vocals

Denise Dufort: drums Olivia Airey: bass

Jackie Chambers: lead guitar, backing vocals

"Concert for Carolina" Adds Veeps Livestream; The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Chase Rice & Parmalee Join Lineup

Due to overwhelming demand, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings and James Taylor have partnered with Veeps to livestream “Concert for Carolina” on Saturday, October 26. The livestream was added to ensure that all fans would be able to see the show after tickets immediately sold-out this past Thursday. The stream will provide an additional opportunity to raise as much money as possible for Hurricane Helene relief efforts. Link to livestream HERE.

The livestream will be available worldwide with free access for those impacted by Hurricane Helene, as “Concert for Carolina” and Veeps have used geotargeting to ensure that those in the affected areas will not be charged. For those not directly impacted, the livestream will cost $24.99 with an option for additional donations available. All proceeds from the stream will go to the same organizations that Combs and Church selected for ticket sales to benefit: Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food BankSecond Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, Eblen Charities and the organizations supported by Chief Cares.

As noted above, North Carolina natives The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Chase Rice and Parmalee have all now joined the line-up.

Presented by Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority, “Concert for Carolina” will take place at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium and also feature performances from Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban and Bailey Zimmerman. The event will be hosted by ESPN’s Marty Smith and Barstool Sports’ Caleb Pressley. Full details can be found at www.concertforcarolina.com.

“Concert for Carolina” is made possible due to the support and generosity of David and Nicole Tepper and Tepper Sports & Entertainment, Explore Asheville, Biltmore Estate, T-Mobile, Jack Daniel’s, Whataburger, Miller Lite, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Belk, Lowe’s, Atrium Health, Tractor Supply Company, Bank of America, American Airlines, Food Lion, Duke’s Mayo, GE Aerospace, Harris Teeter, Pinnacle Financial Partners, United Healthcare, Bud Light, Preferred Parking and Gildan.

Born outside of Charlotte and raised in Asheville, Combs is a proud North Carolinian. Growing up singing at school, it wasn’t until he attended Boone’s Appalachian State University that Combs first performed his own songs at a beloved local bar, leading him to his now historic country music career. Since moving to Nashville in 2014, Combs continually returns to North Carolina for landmark moments including his first-ever headline stadium show at Appalachian State’s Kidd Brewer Stadium in 2021 as well as sold-out, back-to-back nights at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium last summer.

Church, a native of Granite Falls, also began his musical journey in Western North Carolina, playing gigs locally throughout high school and into his time at Appalachian State University before chasing his dream to Nashville. He continues to split time between Tennessee and North Carolina with his family, even returning to the Appalachian Mountains to record his most recent project, the three-part Heart & Soul, in Banner Elk. In 2016, he was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame and in 2022, he was awarded the North Carolina Award, the state’s highest civilian honor. Most recently, he released the song “Darkest Hour” in response to the recent devastation, with all publishing royalties being donated.

Although he is a Michigan native, Strings’ life and career has been deeply impacted by the state of North Carolina both personally and professionally, as it is home to some of his most passionate and supportive fans. Over the past few years, Strings has performed at major venues across the state including an upcoming six-night run at Asheville’s ExploreAsheville.com Arena this winter.

Singer-songwriter Taylor moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina with his family when he was just three years old. Taylor’s father served as the Dean of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill medical school from 1964 to 1971. Taylor’s childhood home was on Morgan Creek Road in Chapel Hill-Carrboro. In April 2003, a bridge over Morgan Creek was dedicated to the musician, and renamed the James Taylor Bridge. Taylor’s childhood experiences in North Carolina influenced many of his most popular songs including “Copperline” as well as the beloved “Carolina in My Mind.” As a recording and touring artist, Taylor has touched people with his warm baritone voice and distinctive style of guitar-playing for more than 50 years.  Over the course of his celebrated career, he has sold more than 100 million albums, has won multiple Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, as well as the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 2009.

CARLY PEARCE EXTENDS LONGTERM PUBLISHING PARTNERSHIP WITH BMG

CMA, ACM and Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Carly Pearce has extended her longtime publishing partnership with BMG in association with Altadena, the music company founded by Carly‘s late producer and collaborator, busbee and LEO33’s Daniel Lee. Celebrating a decade with her publishing home, Pearce continues to be “one of the most exciting voices in contemporary country music” with her “songwriting [that] is as sharp as ever” (Associated Press).

Said Pearce, “BMG has been a part of my story from the very beginning of my career. They have supported me the whole way, and I couldn’t be happier to continue my journey with them!”

Chris Oglesby, BMG Nashville’s VP, Publishing, said, “Carly’s strength, determination and writing skills are as fierce as her work ethic. We are honored to continue this journey with her and Altadena.”

Connecting with audiences across the globe, the multi-Platinum Country star kickstarted her headlining hummingbird world tour this October in support of her latest album hummingbird, which marks Pearce’s debut as a co-producer and includes the Grammy-nominated “we don’t fight anymore” featuring Chris Stapleton and blazing current radio single “truck on fire.” Receiving stunning critical acclaim, The New York Times praised the “country star with a flair for good, old fashioned craftsmanship,” while the Tennessean boasts that “Carly Pearce's fourth studio album, hummingbird, presents her best and ‘most authentic’ self via integrity-driven hard work that feeds her soul.”

Yesterday, Carly unveiled the fiery official music video for her rising single “truck on fire” that The New York Times hailed a “swinging country revenge song.” Watch the music video below, which transports the viewer to a small town and sees Carly live out a classic revenge fantasy, taking matters into her own hands by torching the beloved truck of a cheating ex. Directed by Carly’s longtime collaborator Alexa Campbell, “truck on fire” is Carly’s first official music video to be released since she won the CMT Award for Collaborative Video of the Year in April for her GRAMMY-nominated single “we don’t fight anymore” featuring Chris Stapleton.

On the heels of her four Number One singles at country radio, the Grand Ole Opry member shows no signs of slowing down and continues to resonate with her honest lyrics and timeless musicality.

Arcade Assembly feat. Elias Soriano and Cris Hodges Release Debut Single "Nothing's Real"

Arcade Assembly, featuring Elias Soriano (Nonpoint) and Cris Hodges (Grey Daze), are thrilled to announce the release of their debut single, "Nothing's Real," through 361 Degrees Records.

“Nothing’s Real” explores themes of existential doubt, personal fears, and the disorienting reality of living in a chaotic world. But it does so with a compelling mix of vulnerability and strength, with Soriano’s gravelly, commanding delivery and Hodges’ soaring, emotionally charged vocals creating a sonic landscape that’s both haunting and uplifting. It’s the kind of track that feels equally at home on a rock stage or echoing through the vast, pulsing arenas of a festival like EDC or Tomorrowland.

In a world where boundaries between genres blur and evolve, collaborations between rock’s powerhouses and rising stars often spark the next wave of musical innovation. Among these groundbreaking partnerships is the alliance between Elias Soriano, frontman of Nonpoint, and Cris Hodges, vocalist of Grey Daze and solo artist making waves in the pop, EDM, and rock arenas. Their recent collaboration is setting the stage for something electrifying, attracting attention from rock purists and the new generation of synth-driven, hybrid rock fans.

Elias Soriano has long been a staple in the rock world. With over two decades of hard-hitting anthems and unforgettable performances, his voice has become synonymous with intensity, resilience, and raw emotion. As the face of Nonpoint, Soriano's relentless energy and captivating lyrics have been the driving force behind a legacy of records that speak directly to themes of struggle, survival, and personal triumph. But Soriano isn’t confined to the past—he's pushing forward, exploring new sonic territories, and embracing the future of music in ways even his biggest fans might not expect.

Enter Cris Hodges, a versatile force emerging from the intersection of rock, pop, and EDM. As the touring vocalist for Grey Daze and a solo artist blending infectious melodies with raw emotional depth, Hodges brings a modern twist to the traditional rock sound. His ability to cross genres and captivate audiences across different musical landscapes has earned him critical acclaim, and it’s this adaptability that makes his collaboration with Soriano not just intriguing, but inevitable.

Their first release together, "Nothing’s Real," is more than just a track—it’s a statement. The song’s origin story reads like the start of a movement, a chance encounter between two artists with mutual respect for each other’s work. “I grew up listening to Nonpoint,” Hodges reflects, “and I always admired the fire Elias brought to his music. When we connected through a business venture, I had just written a song that needed that fire. It felt like it was meant for his voice."

Soriano didn’t hesitate. “Cris has this easygoing, yet driven energy. He brought me into the project, and when I heard the song, I was hooked. It’s got everything—emotional grit, a killer hook, and a beat that hits you hard. The chemistry was instant, and before we knew it, industry folks around us were buzzing, urging us to release it.”

There’s a buzz around the duo—one that’s growing louder with every listen. The blend of Soriano’s rock roots and Hodges’ genre-defying style has caught the attention of industry heavyweights and fans alike. Early reviews are glowing, with many already anticipating remixes in the EDM world, and whispers of future releases are met with eager anticipation. And while the duo remains humble about the future, the energy surrounding "Nothing's Real" suggests this is only the beginning of a creative partnership destined to shake things up.

The production team behind the track further cements its credibility. With contributions from Filter guitarist Zack Munowitz, Moonspell drummer Hugo Ribeiro, and EDM producer Kustom Mike Polk, "Nothing's Real" is a masterclass in blending rock’s raw power with the expansive, polished production typically found in pop and electronic music. To top it all off, the track was mixed by Chris Collier—whose work with Korn, Nonpoint, and other metal powerhouses speaks to his ability to elevate a song to its full potential.

Looking forward, Soriano and Hodges are determined to keep pushing the envelope. They’re not just working together—they’re building something bigger. As they assemble a collective of like-minded creatives, their vision for the future is clear: to create music that transcends genre limitations, bringing their unique blend of rock, EDM, and pop to stages and festivals across the globe. “We’re excited to collaborate with artists who want to step outside of their usual creative worlds,” Soriano says. “There are no rules here, and that’s what makes this so inspiring.”

As the world waits for what’s next, one thing is certain: Elias Soriano and Cris Hodges are not just a collaboration to watch—they are pioneers leading the charge in the evolution of modern rock music, where genre-defying sounds meet timeless energy and emotion.
