Big Night in Byzantium, the album, was written, produced and performed by Charlie Midnight and Marc Swersky, under the artist name, Blue McSaws, a name created by combining the names Solomon Blue and Kerry McSaws, two itinerant musicians created and written by Charlie Midnight in a series of vignettes that will accompany the album. As Midnight explains, “Big Night in Byzantium takes you on a raw journey through an emotional landscape of magical realism and relentless hope. It is an odyssey embarked upon by the narrator with God and an Apostle to the mystical town of Byzantium, where a strong wind is blowing the tumbleweed through town and a big night to end all big nights awaits."

The music of Blue McSaws was recorded with a lot of help from friends, lovers and the kindness of strangers with no agenda except to let everyone’s creativity propel the sessions and with no expectations except to…have no expectations. “Big Night in Byzantium“ is the first of the eleven songs from the forthcoming album Big Night in Byzantium due out in 2025.

Wallen’s Historic Neyland Stadium Double Wraps as Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker Surprise + All Vol Walk Out

As East Tennessean Morgan Wallen concluded his two-show-run at Neyland Stadium – the sixth largest college football stadium in the U.S. – the current 7-time CMA Award nominee made history with Knoxville’s largest weekend on-record, totalling 156,161 fans across both nights. The tally surpasses the record previously held by The Jackson 5 across three shows in 1984 (148,407).

Two-time Super Bowl champion and former University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK) quarterback Peyton Manning joined for the second-of-two weekend walkouts, donning his retired college uniform – flanked by current UTK football coach Josh Heupel, quarterback Nico Iamaleava and wide receiver Bru McCoy – as their alma mater eagerly welcomed the All Vols walk-out back on their turf.

Transferring to a more intimate B-Stage toward the back of the venue for a stripped down performance of his 4x-Platinum rendition of Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up,” Wallen reflected on his career, which was first fostered in local bars throughout Knoxville, saying, “When me and the boys first started playing shows, we started out playing bars, real small venues. Worked our way up to places like Cotton Eyed Joe. Then we worked our way up to clubs, theaters, arenas and amphitheaters – we pretty much played any kind of venue there is, and all of a sudden you guys went and sold out Neyland today. Thank you.

“One thing that I miss though about the smaller shows is I could walk out on stage and I could look pretty much everybody in the eyes, so this is my attempt at trying to recreate some of that. To come back here and look some more of y’all in the eyes and say thank you for supporting me and my music.”

After “Cover Me Up,” Wallen welcomed his first-of-two surprise guests of the evening, Miranda Lambert, for a live performance of the No. 1 “Thought You Should Know,” which Lambert co-wrote alongside Wallen and Nicolle Galyon. Introducing Lambert to the audience, the East Tennessean shared, “Me and this next artist, we got together one day and wrote a few songs, and this is the first song we ever wrote. I brought this song into the room and I needed some help from a lady’s perspective to help me write a song for my mama.”

Returning to the main stage, Wallen once again welcomed HARDY and ERNEST for “Up Down” and “Cowgirls,” respectively, before singing cuts off of Dangerous: The Double Album, including “Talkin' Tennessee,” an homage to his roots which was added to his setlist only for his Neyland Stadium shows.

Two songs before the encore, three-time GRAMMY-Award-winner Darius Rucker surprised the crowd joining Wallen for a joint performance of his Diamond-certified rendition of “Wagon Wheel” to rousing reception.

On Friday, Sept. 20, Wallen made his first weekend walk-out flanked by the 2024 National Champion Tennessee Volunteers baseball team and Coach Tony Vitello – trophy in hand. Later in the evening, Wallen welcomed the first entertainer he ever saw in concert in his hometown, Eric Church, to his acoustic stage for the Dangerous Church-penned cut “Quittin’ Time,” before being joined by  HARDY and ERNEST for “Up Down” and “Flower Shops”/“Cowgirls,” respectively, back on the main stage.

Wallen also announced Friday his unreleased song “Love Somebody,” which was first added to his setlist during his European tour in August, will officially be released on Oct. 18. Pre-save “Love Somebody” HERE and read the full night one recap HERE.

In anticipation of the run, The Morgan Wallen Foundation donated $140k to Gibbs Youth Sports (GYS) Friday, Sept. 20 during a press conference held at Neyland Stadium. The donation will go toward renovating Ruritan Park, which serves students from Gibbs High School, where Wallen attended, and surrounding areas in Knox County, allowing GYS to rebuild the inside of the fieldhouse to offer indoor fielding and batting options for local recreation teams. Renovations include batting cages and machines, as well as pitching lanes and a fielding area. Currently there are no facilities like that in the Gibbs/Corryton area.

Wallen has three shows remaining on his One Night At A Time 2024 tour, including one night at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium on Oct. 4, and two consecutive nights at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium on Oct. 18 and 19. For more information, visit MorganWallen.com.

About Morgan Wallen:
When 11-time 2023 Billboard Music Awards-winner and Top Male Artist Morgan Wallen released his third studio albumOne Thing At A Time in 2023, its instant success left The New York Times proclaiming Wallen as “one of the biggest stars in pop, period.” One Thing At A Time has remained atop the all-genre Billboard 200 chart for 19 non-consecutive weeks, surpassing Garth Brooks’ Ropin’ the Wind with the most weeks at No. 1 for a Country album, and was the most-streamed album of the year on Spotify. The album’s 6x-Platinum single “Last Night” reeled in over 1.5 billion streams globally, becoming the most-streamed song of any genre in the U.S. across Apple Music and Spotify, and the longest running No. 1 solo song in Hot 100 history (16 weeks total). Recent collaboration with Post Malone, “I Had Some Help,” debuted at country radio with 167 first week adds, becoming only the second single in chart history to debut with the support of all reporting stations. Since its release, “I Had Some Help” remained No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 all-genre charts for six weeks, becoming the longest-running No. 1 of 2024.

With 15 chart-toppers at country radio, Wallen played for 5 countries/3 continents in 2023 for his stadium One Night At A Time World Tour. Performing to over 2.4 million fans, One Night At A Time was named a Billboard and Pollstar Country Tour of the Year, surpassing attendance records in numerous stops; including Ohio Stadium, where Wallen became the largest weekend ever for the venue. The 38-show 2024 extension of One Night At A Time has taken Wallen to 26 additional stadium-plays, and included his first European run with seven shows in five countries. Wallen donates a portion from every ticket sold to his Morgan Wallen Foundation.

Alt Pop Duo Loyals Share "She Hates Me" — LISTEN // Announce EP

Alt pop duo LOYALS Dane Allen and Andrew Gomez — have announced their new EP, titled Love Me Bad. It arrives on October 18 via Tooth & Nail Records. Pre-order it here.

Today, the pair has shared the visualizer for new single "She Hates Me." Watch it below.

"I remember having the idea for 'She Hates Me' while I was doing dishes a few years ago," says Allen." It was one of those ideas that just popped into my head out of nowhere. I was in a particularly dry season of song ideas, and it was the first idea I had in a long time. When I presented it to Gomey and Cameron, everyone's creativity just popped off in the studio and it flowed effortlessly. It's very different than anything we've done so far in Loyals. Everything from the chord progression to the vocal just feels different for us. It's a unique vibe."

LOYALS released their self-titled debut in 2018, followed by two singles in 2019, and then COVID-19 shut the world down. Indeed, "Up All Night" serves as a comeback single, introducing an evolution in the band's sound, while also leaning into the deep-rooted foundations of who LOYALS are. The track is structurally built around a singular guitar riff, before exploding into a kinetic chorus filled with the pop-centric melodies and hooks the pair is known for.

"Look, we just write pop songs that make us feel things," says Allen, explaining the motive behind his alternative/pop group. "We aren't congealed with this big message. Obviously, we can change our minds down the road, but that's not who we are now."

The band's lack of pretense is as refreshing as it is uncommon, its self-assuredness a most likely side effect of the years they've spent playing together. "We met when we were teenagers," explains Allen of fellow bandmate Gomez. "We've stuck with each other ever since."

Their nearly two-decade-long friendship not only earned LOYALS their moniker, but through practice and experimentation, aided in the cultivation of a pop group that contributes mightily to the genre.

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX Release Haunting Cover of "Self Control"

" A voice for the voiceless with their distinct and unique sound" - Echoes and Dust

"Pity the fool who tries to tell Crippled Black Phoenix that the album is dead" - Drowned in Sound

"One of the best post-rock bands I've discovered upon my travels" -
Toilet Ov Hell

Profoundly heavy and truly mesmerizing" -
Metal Hammer

Since banding together in 2004, Crippled Black Phoenix have stood as a voice for big city dreamers and creatures of the forest. This year, Justin Greaves (ex Iron Monkey and Electric Wizard), long-time vocalist Belinda Kordic and their many collaborators are celebrating 20 years of shedding light on our troubled existence by releasing a new, two-part compilation.

The Wolf Changes Its Fut But Not Its Nature collects reworked versions of the UK band's early signature songs, including the darker, gloomier "Goodnight, Europe (Pt2)". Horrific Honorifics Number Two (2)continues their tradition of haunting homages with covers that range from Fugazi to NoMeansNo, Deep Purple and Built to Spill.

Today, CBP are releasing their haunting cover of Laura Branigan's "Self Control", which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in 1984.

With their version of "Self Control", Crippled Black Phoenix extract the same eerie sense of longing that Laura Branigan hit on with her 1984 recording. Belinda Kordic's ever-captivating croon gives voice to a shared darkness, breathing new life into a song that still resonates with the tortured souls of our modern age.

In true CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX fashion, the Lucy Marshall-created Banefyre cover leaves plenty to the imagination, depicting four animals seated at a table — interacting and dressed like human beings. “It’s sort of like Planet of the Apes showing what animals could do to humans,” says Greaves. “The cover was specially commissioned and is unique to the album. It’s incorporating all the classic CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX elements with the love for animals and twisting the narrative around.”

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX’s reputation was built on the back of their studio albums and live shows. The pandemic prevented the band from supporting Ellengæst, but it did provide them additional time to bring in new members to their live configuration.

“We’ve done one show since 2019,” says Greaves. “We are going to do something in Europe this year. Hopefully, we can get back on track. We’re also going to do something in the States — that’s not just talk, we’re actually going to do it. It’s well overdue. The live band is fucking amazing. We have the five of us and now we have Jordi [Farré] on drums, Paco [Fleischfresser] on synth and a really good friend of mine, Matt Crawford on bass.

“We did the Leipzig show and even though the rehearsals were better than the show itself, that lineup, our live band, is so good. Because we haven’t been under pressure to put a live band together since 2019 and spent so long talking to people, we’ve got a better band from those results. Out of disaster, we’ve got quite a good, positive thing.”

The Wolf Changes Its Fur But Not Its Nature & Horrific Honorifics Number Two(2) are a double album celebrating the 20 year existence of CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX.

True-grit American songwriter JC Miller presents classic-on-arrival single 'Blackberry Canes'

"It isn’t just Americana; his songs feel like small vignettes in the everyday lives of ordinary people scraping a hard-fought living" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Miller takes us on a heartfelt journey. This veteran American storyteller's work is rooted in the rich soil of country music, the songs grapple with the heart of this nation. Infectious melodies and down-home grit weave an unforgettable tapestry, showcasing a true master of the craft" ~ Complete Country

"With talent and authenticity,.there's a realness to JC Miller's songwriting, focused on everyday struggles and the invisible and indivisible connection between past and present" ~ Rock-n-Roll.Biz

"Candid and catchy, this riveting and memorable music takes us to another time and place... frank lyrics, infectious melody, and pure Southern rock grit... impressive musical talent... the elements that allowed such artists as Wilco and Ryan Adams to transcend legendary status" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

American singer-songwriter JC Miller presents his new single 'Blackberry Canes', released via Tilt Records. Once again, this true-grit storyteller engages us in a captivating journey that blends time and nature within the American landscape.

From the opening dobro lick leading into a catchy baritone guitar entrance and the soulful Telecaster twang that follows, you know you are in JC Miller country. Classic on arrival you will be singing along with this infectious tune. In true JC fashion, this song's outro is a celebratory groove with all the twirling southern fried rock guitar mojo we have come to expect from JC Miller.

"The song 'Blackberry Canes' came about from thinking about the rambling, ramshackle path of growth sometimes. It’s not always a pretty pattern but it gets the job done, always reaching and somehow surviving… Blackberry trunks go sideways and every which way and travel a roundabout trail, never a straight line. It is a small passing thought really but it serves to remind us that you have to keep moving forward no matter what into the unknown just to grab the next beam of light," says JC Miller.

"Like the lyric says, I feel ”Suspended in our time, Somewhere in between, Untold tomorrows and Countless yesterdays…” We are stuck between the past and the future, and that giant size idea can be expressed with the smallest details found in wild nature, or right in your front yard. I also think, like it says in the song, “It’s a punishment and crime how we’re slaves to the machine…” I am a throwback to the 20th Century analog era and old school all the way. I’m a throwback luddite type of guy".

JC Miller's music takes form through the music alchemy enjoyed with celebrated musician-producer Marty Rifkin, who is known for his work with Tom Petty, Glen Campbell and Jewel, in addition to playing pedal steel guitar in Bruce Springsteen's The Sessions Band.

With country balladry, this latest offering follows a hearty string of singles that include 'Tombstone Junction', 'Dead Horse Ranch', 'Sundown Slim','Wayward Son' and 'Before Nightfall'.

A Los Angeles-based artist hailing from Detroit, JC Miller has spent years creating music for major clients, which include the likes of Levi's, Coca-Cola and Nike. Now he is also pursuing his own authentic path as a singer-songwriter and guitarist with a distinctive sound invoking elements of Americana, Country and Southern Rock. Inspired by his personal journeys, Miller crafts relatable songs that are rooted in the fabric of America, his work infused in deep affection for its Southern realms.

With clever hooks, natural charm, and a talent for songsmithing, Miller's songs resonate with audiences at a deeper level. With passion and conviction, his lyrics are both relatable and thought-provoking, painting vivid pictures of life's joys and challenges - stories of America, both past and present.

JC Miller's 'Blackberry Canes' is out everywhere, including Spotify and Apple Music. The previous single 'Tombstone Junction' is also available everywhere, along with his recent run of stunning singles.

I Prevail Drop "TRUE POWER (EXPANDED)" EDITION + Top The Charts Once More!

Modern hard rock torchbearers I Prevail are having a banner 2024.

The band has just dropped the expanded edition of their latest album. TRUE POWER (EXPANDED) comes armed with a new song and three reimagined tracks. Get it here

The updated version includes the recently released new single "Hate This Song," an arena-sized collab track with alt-pop royalty All Time Low, while album singles "Bad Things, "There's Fear in Letting Go," and "Deep End" are all stripped back. These familiar, fan favorites get quiet yet beautiful reimagined makeovers. "Deep End" is softly lush, while "Bad Things" brings the beats. Elsewhere, "There's Fear In Letting Go" will haunt you with its simple instrumentation. The reworkings retain the power of the originals and still land with incredible impact.

"We're excited to announce/release TRUE POWER (EXPANDED) edition," says Eric Vanlerberghe.  "When writing and working on these songs, we had fun envisioning some of these songs in different ways. So instead of just giving you a few acoustic tracks, we reworked some of our favourite songs into something familiar yet different."

In other I Prevail news, the band's collab track with Halestorm, "can u see me in the dark?," just hit No. 1 on the rock radio charts. The song does not appear on the expanded edition of TRUE POWER. The bands performed the song live on their recent co-headline tour, which was one of the hottest tours of the summer.

ABOUT I PREVAIL
I Prevail have established themselves as the forerunners of the genre in the 21st century. Their latest record was once again produced by Tyler Smyth, features the sort of stadium-sized riffs that will rattle your teeth loose from your gums and unforgettable, supremely catchy melodies that will camp out in your brain for weeks at a time. The band also alternately mixes screamed vocals that sound as though they crawled from the depths of hell with soaring, emotional vocals and heartfelt, intimate lyrics that go so deep, they hit marrow. The end result is an album that resonates with the listener in the most personal way. Rising to an arena level and receiving two Grammy nominations — Best Rock Album for Trauma and Best Metal Performance for crushing lead single "Bow Down" — I Prevail proved that they were built to last. To date, they've racked up more than 4.2 billion global streams, are approaching 800 million YouTube views, and saw both "Hurricane" and "Bad Things" singles top Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 2020 and 2022 respectively. A number of their singles and album Lifelines have now been certified Gold and Platinum, and they have been praised by press far and wide, including Forbes, Billboard, The Hollywood ReporterPlayboy, Muscle + Fitness, and NPR. I Prevail have affirmed their position among the genre's elite.

“It’s great to look back and see our future unfurl — from little metal acorns mighty metal oaks do grow. One small step for metal, one giant leap for metalkind — a lifelong metal journey began with these songs. This album lit the eternal metal flame — as real and fresh as ever five decades on” — Rob Halford

In 1974 before the eternal metal flame was ever lit - Judas Priest were simply 5 young musicians in their 20’s – Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Ian Hill, KK Downing and John Hinch – from the Black Country an area of working-class towns in England - excited to have signed a record deal.

With limited funds, the band recorded during the less expensive night shift hours. The album Rocka Rolla was born during these sessions, under the guidance of producer Roger Bain who was brought in by the label and who had previously produced Black Sabbath.

Judas Priest learnt over time how to record an album - and the experience of working in a professional recording studio helped prepare them for the next album to come - one of the most definitive and foundational heavy metal albums of all time - Sad Wings of Destiny

But with Rocka Rolla the band was not there for the mixing, the mastering process or any final approvals — they didn’t have a say when it was finished or how it ultimately sounded. Although the band felt positive about how the songs sounded in the studio, they were particularly disappointed when they received a finished copy of the album in the mail to listen to for the first time.....

“I took the record… and I put the needle onto the groove and I sat back. And I just slowly started to deflate, deflate.” said Rob Halford. “I was so disappointed with the way it was sounding… All of us were - we’d all worked so hard to get to this place. And now this music that we know when we play live is roaring - the heavy metal is roaring even in those early primitive days - none of that was coming out of the speakers”

The band never had a future say in Rocka Rolla in the intervening decades — the re-releases and early-era compilations… but that was about to change.....

During Judas Priest’s 50 Heavy Metal Years tour in 2022, something remarkable was happening behind the scenes. The label that originally signed Judas Priest in 1974, Gull Records and its owner David Howells, decided to sell the masters and publishing rights for the two albums the label owned, Rocka Rolla and Sad Wings of Destiny — and he contacted Glenn Tipton’s music publisher, Michael Closter of Reach Music Publishing.

Morgan Wallen at Neyland: National Champions+Eric Church Create Memorable Nt. 1

With “Welcome Home Morgan” signs and neon displays installed across the city in hotel lobbies, restaurants and bars, the anticipation of Morgan Wallen’s two nights at Neyland Stadium was palpable across Knoxville the days leading up to his homecoming. The East Tennessean matched their excitement from the jump as he charged down the gauntlet making his first-of-two weekend walk-outs flanked by the 2024 National Champion Tennessee Volunteers baseball team and Coach Tony Vitello – trophy in hand. Registering 114 decibels, the crowd of 70,000+ enthusiastically welcomed them all home.

Fans showed up early on Friday, Sept. 20 as gates opened at 4:30 pm, many donning orange and white, filling in both pits lining Wallen’s signature “MW” stage backed into the endzone.

The current 7-time CMA Award nominee opened his 26-song set with upbeat “Ain’t That Some” and “I Wrote The Book” before stating how monumental this weekend is for him.

After pausing to take the moment in, Wallen shared, “I really appreciate that warm welcome, that means a lot to me. The last time I was in this stadium I was watching Tennessee kick Alabama’s ass. I can't think of a better way to follow it up than to be here playing two sold-out shows this weekend. This is one of the most special days of my entire life and I’m very glad you guys chose to spend this weekend here with me – it means a lot.

“Before we get any further I want to make sure you make some noise for my band and crew who show up here early in advance to make sure we get to play the music y’all love. I have a lot of people here who mean a lot to me,” he added. “I’ve got my little boy here, both my grandmothers here, my mom, my dad, my sisters, my nieces. I have been very fortunate to do a lot of great things over the last few years, but I know that this right here is going to be extremely hard to top as one of the coolest things I’ve ever gotten to do. We’re gonna play a lot of songs tonight, I threw in a couple extra songs that I don’t normally play. I didn’t even ask about the curfew, so we’re just gonna play as long as we want to tonight.”

Wallen once again added his unreleased song “Love Somebody” to the setlist for the night, revealing its release date to fans from the stage. Pre-save “Love Somebody,” out Friday, Oct. 18, HERE. Twelve-songs-in, Wallen welcomed the first entertainer he ever saw in concert in his hometown, Eric Church, to his acoustic stage for the Dangerous cut “Quittin’ Time,” before being joined by  HARDY and ERNEST for “Up Down” and “Flower Shops”/“Cowgirls,” respectively, back on the main stage.

Over two hours in, the electrifying show came to an appropriate close with a full-fledged fireworks show as he concluded with “The Way I Talk,” and with the crowd repeating “I just live the way I talk.”

In anticipation of the run, The Morgan Wallen Foundation donated $140k to Gibbs Youth Sports (GYS) yesterday during a press conference held at Neyland Stadium.

Wallen returns to Neyland this Sunday, Sept. 22 for a second sold-out show with HARDY and ERNEST.

SEVEN HOURS AFTER VIOLET Drop New Single/Music Video - "Alive"

Seven Hours After Violet, the groundbreaking heavy metal band fronted by Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down, has just dropped their electrifying new single, “Alive.” The track, which continues to showcase the band’s unique blend of heavy music and melodic sensibility, is available now on all major streaming platforms, accompanied by a stunning music video. Stream "Alive" HERE. Watch the official music video Below. Pre-Order the debut album, 'Seven Hours After Violet' HERE.

Alive” is the latest offering from the band’s highly anticipated self-titled debut album, set to release on October 11th, 2024, through 1336 Records, Shavo’s joint label venture with Sumerian Music Group. They exploded into existence back in June with the release of their debut single 'Paradise' garnering much praise and excitement from both fans and critics alike. "Paradise" was followed by second single, the gloriously ethereal "Radiance" last month, which showcased a different side of the band's arsenal and gave a glimpse of the incredible dynamism featured on their upcoming debut full-length. "Alive" furthers the unique sonic world building of Seven Hours After Violet.

Speaking on the project's third single, Shavo shares:

"Alive" dives deep into the duality of pain and vitality, where suffering becomes a twisted reminder of existence. It’s about the dark thrill of feeling alive through intense emotions, even when they blur the line between ecstasy and despair. A haunting space where agony and empowerment collide.”

Seven Hours After Violet is an alternative metal supergroup assembled by Shavo, featuring Taylor Barber (vocalist of Left to Suffer), Morgoth (multi-platinum producer and guitarist of Winds of Plague), Alejandro Aranda (Scarypoolparty and American Idol), and Josh Johnson (drummer of Winds of Plague). The band emerged from a chance encounter between Shavo and Morgoth in early 2022 and rapidly became an unstoppable force of creativity and experimentation that evolved from a potential solo project into a full-fledged band. Their upcoming self-titled debut album is the result of some of the best, most talented minds in heavy music coming together to create something limitless and exceptional.

A variety of pre-order merch bundles for Seven Hours After Violet's self-titled debut are available now by clicking HERE

Seven Hours After Violet will play their first ever live show at this year's recently announced Mayhem Fest, taking place at the Glen Helen Amphitheatre in San Bernardino on October 12th. For tickets and further information, head to mayhemfest.com

Stay tuned for more from Seven Hours After Violet as they continue to push the boundaries of heavy music.

About Seven Hours After Violet

When the universe aligns, magic happens. This was certainly the case when Shavo Odadjian, the legendary bass player of System of a Down, crossed paths with platinum-selling producer, songwriter and guitarist, Morgoth at a party on 2.22.22. Their initial sessions were a spontaneous combustion of creativity, transforming from a potential solo venture into a full-fledged band. “We wrote a song right away. It wasn’t like any writing session I had been part of before, riffs were just flowing out of me without me even having to try. Every time I felt like I couldn't write anything. Morgoth would hand me a guitar and say, “go, go, go”. I needed that, you know? I needed someone to push me when I wasn't pushing myself. ” Shavo recalls. As music continued to pour out in torrents, with Shavo writing and performing all the guitar and bass parts and Morgoth producing and providing the beats, atmospherics and FX, Morgoth suggested they turn it into a Shavo solo project. However, with his eye now firmly set on the live arena, Shavo decided to create a full band.

Finding the right vocal talent to compliment the musical landscape created by Shavo and Morgoth was crucial. Morgoth’s recommendation of Taylor Barber from Left to Suffer was a game-changer. Shavo was blown away: “He was singing in falsetto one minute and growling the next—it was ridiculous. He became the singer because he knocked every song out of the park.” With Shavo on bass and Morgoth on guitar, the band also brought in Morthgoth’s Winds Of Plague band mate, Josh Johnson on drums and Alejandro Aranda, known for his solo project Scarypoolparty and as runner-up on American Idol, as lead guitarist and backing vocalist.

Once the new music was complete, mixed by Zach Jones and mastered by Maor Applebaum, Shavo partnered with Ash Avildsen, founder and CEO of Sumerian Music Group to create the brand new joint label venture 1336 Records, with Seven Hours After Violet being the first singing.

LOLITSLEA Releases New Single + Video "Exit Plan" Featuring Tom Denney

Friday, lolitslea released "Exit Plan" featuring guest guitar riffage from Tom Denney.

Lyrically and musically, it is a homage to nostalgia and youth as lolitslea taps into the 2008 punk and post-hardcore influences that are synonymous with the era and pines for the simplicity of her youth. The track showcases her vocal range with a soaring chorus and packs a punch with an A Day To Remember-esque breakdown provided by the band's ex-guitarist Tom Denney himself.

When asked about the song, lolitslea says, "'Exit Plan' runs circles around the themes of liminal spaces, the backrooms, and realizing life will never be what it was back in 2008. Where my biggest regret in life was selling my Nintendo DS to a local pawn shop. This tune was co-produced and co-written by Tom Denney, formally from A Day To Remember."

lolitslea is the epitome of bright, nostalgia-driven music for today's youth (imagine if Artist Vs Poet or Hey Monday came out in 2024). Growing up in the small, yet touristy beach town of Point Pleasant, NJ, lolitslea was homegrown from all kinds of music from the Asbury Park alternative scene and Warped Tour era. The neon-pop punk bangers on her upcoming album "NOTHING LASTS FOREVER!" are relatable, danceable, and oh-so-fun!

LOLITSLEA 2024 TOUR DATES:
10/9 —  Philadelphia, PA —  The Rotunda
10/10 —  Asbury Park, NJ —  Bond Street Bar
10/11 —  Baltimore, MD —  Zen West
10/12 —  Raleigh, NC —  Kings
10/15 —  Orlando, FL —  Will's Pub
10/18 —  Atlanta, GA —  Smith's Olde Bar
10/19 —  Murfreesboro, TN —  1507 Diana St

ABOUT LOLITSLEA:
Growing up in the small, yet touristy beach town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, lolitslea was homegrown from every and all kinds of music that came out of the Asbury Park alternative scene and Warped Tour era. The independent artist has intertwined the boldness of punk and the colors of pop to bring back the bright sounds of the Neon Pop Punk scene we all grew to love in the mid-2000s. Think Artist Vs Poet or early Fall Out Boy.

After topping the charts with her college a cappella group (Twisted Measure), lolitslea set off to grow her project. lolitslea's sound has been produced and developed by emo icons such as Chase Coy (formally with Universal Music Group), Tom Denney (formerly A Day To Remember), and Roye Robley (Meet Me @ The Altar, Fluorescents), with features from Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens), Bemo Rouge, Joshua Roberts (Magnolia Park), glimmers, Smooth Brain, and more to come.

lolitslea is finishing up her debut full-length to be released October 2024. Following that, she'll be busy in writing sessions with Dan Swank (All Time Low, Taylor Acorn), Cassadee Pope (Hey Monday), Cameron Walker, and many more.

Pistols at Dawn Drop "Obsession" — WATCH + LISTEN // Announce European Tour Dates

Atlanta foursome PISTOLS AT DAWN — Adam Jaffe [drums], Will James [lead guitar], Gabriel Cuevas [bass], and Jon Sookdew Sing [lead vocals] — have shared the new single "Obsession."

Watch the lyric video below.

"Sometimes our dreams completely overtake us," the band says. "To the point where we lose sight of our loved ones and become something unrecognizable. 'Obsession' takes the point of view of the person you're letting down in pursuit of your ambition."

"Obsession" follows their previously released and insanely hooky single "Not Sorry," which is currently climbing the active rock radio charts.

Pistols at Dawn recently played a packed show at NYC's Bowery Electric. The band will head to Europe this weekend to support Des Rocs.

Pistols At Dawn craft the kind of rock music that doesn't just reach the rafters; it breaks through the ceiling. Sky-high hooks stretch into the heavens, a powerful low-end rumbles without apology, and riffs roar at all the right moments. Thus far, the Atlanta band have emerged as a phenomenon. They've amassed nearly 10 million global streams and views, infiltrated the Billboard and Mediabase Top 40 Active Rock charts, earned acclaim from American SongwriterBrave Words, and the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and embarked upon global tours alongside heavy-hitters such as Alter Bridge, Mammoth WVH, and Fozzy, to name a few. The quartet canvased the world throughout 2022 and 2023. Upon returning stateside, they opted to decamp to Los Angeles in order to assemble new material. Stayed tuned for more, because Pistols at Dawn are leveling up.

GARFUNKEL & GARFUNKEL RELEASE TOUCHING INTERPRETATION OF “TIME AFTER TIME”

Multiple GRAMMY® winner Art Garfunkel & his son, Art Garfunkel Jr.bring a fresh, heartfelt interpretation to 80's hit "Time After Time." This touching recreation seamlessly blends Art’s signature warmth with his son's youthful energy. The duo's version is both a nod to the original's emotional depth & a testament to their personal connection. Their harmonies & subtle reinterpretation breathe new life into the beloved track, making it a moving tribute to the timelessness of the song & the bond between father and son. The track is the first taste of music from their collaborative studio album – aptly titled Father And Son. Arriving on November 8th, 2024, the album features a selection of personal favorites from the last century. Listen to “Time After Time” and pre-order, pre-add and pre-save Father and Son here

“‘Time After Time’ is one of my all-time favorites from the 80s,” says Garfunkel Jr. about the new, epically orchestrated rendition of the iconic hit, which Lauper first released four decades ago. “It’s a song that fits perfectly on this album, because it also deals with our relationship, this unique bond between my father and me. From one generation to the next, it’s about time passing, about passing on the baton, but here we are working together in the studio and thus begins the next cycle, as my father takes this exciting next step with me,” says the 33-year-old.

“It felt like a dream. It was simply quite wonderful. I love working with him,” adds hit-making veteran Art Garfunkel, who launched his career with Simon & Garfunkel in the late 1950s, referring to their shared time in the studio. “I like to say my son is a better singer than I am. I mean, I’m pretty good, but he is better.”

Garfunkel & Garfunkel’s Father And Son features a dozen timeless hits and standards spanning almost an entire century. It’s an extremely personal selection, an essential set of longtime favorites they’ve been listening to for as long as they can remember. The result is a beautiful testament to the unique bond between “father and son,” and a lavishly arranged musical journey through different genres, covering much of the 20th century.

“We were going for a real modern orchestral vibe, with lots of strings,” Art Garfunkel and Art Garfunkel Jr. say about the new project’s lush and lavish sound. Incorporating a series of stunning, truly cinematic string arrangements, Garfunkel & Garfunkel bring iconic songs from various eras into the present. In the studio, they enlisted three international greats to capture the unique father-son dynamic: trusted hit producer Felix Gauder (Pet Shop Boys, Jimmy Somerville) was joined by top-notch Italian string arranger Davide Rossi (Coldplay, Alicia Keys) and famed UK studio wizard Ash Howes (Kylie Minogue, Ellie Goulding).

“This one is truly a father-son project, it’s all about this unique connection,” Jr. adds. “We recorded about a dozen of our most cherished songs. I brought more of the 80s influences into the project, and my father brought more of the Great American Songbook – wonderful songs from the 1940s and so on. These two influences came together in a pretty exciting way. Overall, it’s definitely an expression of our bond.”

About Garfunkel & Garfunkel:
Art Garfunkel, renowned for his work with Simon & Garfunkel and his impressive solo career, is set to release a new collaborative album with his son, Art Garfunkel Jr., on November 8th, 2024. Titled Father And Son, the album features a dozen English-language cover songs spanning nearly a century, blending their unique influences. Art Garfunkel Jr., who has achieved success with two top 10 albums in Germany, brings 80s influences to the project, while his father contributes his expertise in the Great American Songbook. The album showcases their strong father-son bond with lush orchestral arrangements, reflecting their deep connection and diverse musical backgrounds. The collaboration highlights their shared musical journey, with standout tracks including renditions of classics like “Let It Be Me,” “Blue Moon,” and “Blackbird.” Produced by Felix Gauder and featuring arrangements by Davide Rossi and Ash Howes, Father And Son captures the essence of their partnership and musical evolution. The album pays homage to their favorite songs and underscores the personal and artistic synergy between the two, making it a significant addition to their respective legacies.

Blake Shelton to release "Go Tell It On The Mountain" For Lionsgate Studios 'The Best Christmas Pagent Ever' Film

Available October 18, fans can pre-save/pre-add the song here. Jenkins will announce it today at Chosen Con, the annual gathering for fans of Jenkins’ breakout television series, The Chosen.

The traditional holiday spiritual is produced and arranged by Scott Hendricks, with an assist from Shelton on arrangement. As a fun fact: Credits also include gospel star Gordon Mote on piano and organ and Wendy Moten on background vocals. Moten joined Team Blake on Season 21 of The Voice, finishing in second place.

So we wanted to record a song that expresses reverence and faith and puts a smile on your face. ‘Go Tell It on the Mountain’ does all of that and I hope our version and the movie become a new Christmas tradition.”

But the play’s mischievous stars might unwittingly teach a community the true meaning of Christmas.

Starring Judy Greer, Pete Holmes, Molly Belle Wright and Lauren Graham, the film is directed by Dallas Jenkins from a screenplay by Ryan Swanson and Platte F. Clark & Darin McDaniel, based on the novel by Barbara Robinson, and produced by Kevin Downes, Jon Erwin, Andrew Erwin, Darin McDaniel, Chet Thomas and Daryl Lefever.

Ian Munsick Releases “Western Woman”

Much as he did with his RIAA Gold-certified single “Long Live Cowgirls” featuring Cody Johnson in 2022, Wyoming native Ian Munsick is intertwining his love of the west and respect for the women who shape it with his latest release, “Western Woman,” available now. Listen below.

“Western women are different. They have to be. Surviving the rugged landscapes of the west and the rigorous lifestyle that comes along with it is something that not everyone can do,” Munsick reflects on the song’s inspiration. “Western women are the most competent, hard working, do-it-with-a-smile people in this country. They deserve a song. We have dedications to southern girls and city girls, but how about all the wifes, mothers, daughters and sisters holding down the west? This one’s for them.”

Written by Munsick, Billy Montana and Randy Montana, “Western Woman” is backed by Charlie Worsham on the mandolin and Tim Hayes on the fiddle, creating a sound both warm and resonant, reminiscent of traditional country.

Munsick was recently honored by Exclusive Tours of the Center of the West with a screening of his documentary, White Buffalo: Voices of the West, and a special exhibit honoring his career. Featuring 11 items signifying pivotal moments, the exhibit includes his custom Manuel suit that he wore for his Grand Ole Opry debut, Red Rocks debut boots from Boot Barn, a bolo gifted to him from Morgan Wallen and more. The exhibit will be on display until January 2025. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit CenterOfTheWest.org.

Since its release in January, Voices of the West has been selected for 14 film festivals and has won 13 awards, including six Telly Awards for Best Directing, Best Editing, Best Use of Music, Best Videography & Cinematography, Best Documentary: Long Form (Above 40 minutes), DEI: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

Munsick most recently released a love song dedicated to his wife, “Caroline,” and a celebration of the simple things in life with “Good Dogs & Sad Songs.” He’s currently on the road, traveling throughout the Rocky Mountain region with his headlining Country & WESTern Tour presented by Boot Barnwith nine shows throughout the west this fall, and can be seen on select dates of Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again Tour.

About Ian Munsick:
A native son of Wyoming, Ian Munsick painted a stampeding, spirited portrait of the American West with his sophomore album 23-track White Buffalo: Introduce You To God, out now. Spanning unfiltered tales of romance and ranch life, hard-working anthems with honkytonk hooks and mountain-time odes to family and forever-young fun, it builds upon the spacious roots-pop beauty he introduced on his major label debut, Coyote Cry. Over the past four years, Munsick has accumulated nearly 750 million global streams and a host of accolades. He has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Spotify, CMT, Fender, MusicRow and most recently was named a Martin Showcase Artist. A seasoned entertainer, having grown up tending cattle by day and playing music in a family band each night, Munsick toured recently alongside country music superstars Morgan Wallen and Cody Johnson, and as direct support for select dates of Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again tour, while simultaneously headlining his own Boots, Buckles & Bolos Tour and Country & WESTern Tour presented by Boot Barn. Christian Hayes Releases Debut EP ‘Last I Love You’ via Capitol Records

When Rome, Georgia native Christian Hayes emerged onto the music scene this year with the release of "Leaving,” “LILY” (an acronym for “last I love you”) and “Cheyenne,” he gained instant recognition with Holler declaring him among their list of “Country and Americana Artists You Need To Know” and Nashville Briefing naming him an “Artist To Watch.” Now, Hayes arrives on Capitol Records with his debut EP, Last I Love You,encompassing those three songs along with newly released “Black Gold” and “My Memory.”

The record casts a wide net, bouncing between campfire ballads, cinematic soundscapes and raw, rowdy barn-burners. At the center of that sound is Hayes himself: a wise-beyond-his-years musician who knows he can't move forward without taking a look at his past.

"This record is about who I used to be, and it sets the stage for who I'm going to be. It's the last 'I love you' to my old self,” Hayes shares. “I have skeletons in my closet, just like everyone else, and I want people to hear the authenticity in these songs. I'm not hiding anything."

Fusing Americana with cinematic folk, Last I Love You was produced by Lukas Bracewell and is an autobiographical introduction of Hayes’ journey to Music Row, beginning with “Black Gold,” which chronicles a two year stint in which he worked for his now ex girlfriend’s father selling oil and gas. Often clocking in 14-16 hour days – sometimes seven days a week, with very little pay – the period that “Black Gold” recalls was a formative one in Hayes’ life.

“I often struggled with self-love, so I sought that in other places,” Hayes recalls. “This EP highlights my journey in overcoming that discontentment and learning how to love myself. A lot of these lessons are highlighted, in the track ‘Black Gold,’ which is a true story that narrates my journey selling fuel which led me to the self-realization that the relationship and the job that I had were taking more than they were giving.”

“Black Gold” will be added to rotation on SiriusXM’s The Highway this weekend timed to its release.

Released in February 2024, "Leaving" was Hayes' debut single, an up-tempo song about making dumb mistakes and running away from problems. “LILY” followed in April. Its poignant evocation of the reluctant end of a relationship – along with the instant-classic refrain “I guess this is my last I love you” – struck a chord with listeners, who turned it into a viral hit, quickly sending combined global streams past the three million mark. Hayes released “Cheyenne,” an expressive, melodic journey through self-discovery and heartbreak, in July.

"People have told me about how much 'LILY' has helped them," Hayes explains. "It makes them feel like they're not alone. With three million streams and counting, the song reminds me that I'm not alone, either. It's brought a sense of togetherness to me and my audience, and maybe it's healed me more than it's healed anyone else."

To coincide with the EP release, Hayes is unveiling his first official music video today for “LILY.” Starting in a bedroom setting, illuminated by moonlight, and evolving into a new bedroom as the song progresses, the video symbolizes the journey of moving on from a past relationship, anchored by Christian’s raw performance.

The EP is capped with the reflective track “My Memory.” Evoking nostalgia for the home he grew up in, “My Memory” poetically recalls Hayes’ time spent on the front porch and its lasting impact on his life. The spot where he honed his craft and wrote the more than 900 songs he has in his journal, his front porch is also where he bonded with his father and matured beyond the defiant ways of his childhood.

Genuine and articulate, Hayes comes from a long line of storytellers that includes his Grandpa Jack – a poet by profession – who gave Christian his first journal. Born and raised in the foothills of Appalachia, Hayes began playing guitar at age eight. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserve and attended the University of Alabama.

Hayes recently signed with Capitol Records, as well as with William Morris Endeavor (WME) for booking, Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) for publishing, Wildrose Projects for management and Flood Bumstead McCready & McCarthy (FBMM) for business management.

All songs on Last I Love You are self-penned except for “Black Gold,” which Hayes co-wrote with Jonathan Hutcherson.

ABOUT CHRISTIAN HAYES
Raised in the Appalachian foothills of northern Georgia, Christian Hayes grew up surrounded by southern storytelling. His grandfather — a poet by profession — encouraged him to begin writing in a journal at 7 years old, sparking a habit that would eventually take Hayes to Nashville. A veteran of the US Navy Reserve, Hayes began applying the discipline of his military training to his work as a songwriter, amassing more than 900 original songs by his mid-twenties. Five of those songs appear on Last I Love You, his debut for Capitol Records available now. Produced by Lukas Bracewell and steeped in Hayes' unique version of American roots music, Last I Love You features the viral single "LILY" (which racked up more than 3 million streams before the EP's official release), the anthemic "Black Gold," and a mix of effortless melodies, cinematic folk and rowdy, barn-burning Americana.
