Annie Bosko Reveals Collaboration with Dwight Yoakam on "Heart Burn" Set for 5/31

On the heels of her performance last week at ACM’s Country Kickoff at the Star, singer/songwriter Annie Bosko announces “Heart Burn” featuring Dwight Yoakam, set for release Friday, May 31. Pre-save/pre-add “Heart Burn” HERE.

“Dwight is not only my musical hero but an icon, from his music to his sense of style, and we both share Bakersfield roots,” shares Bosko. “I love that he effortlessly crosses genres, blending everything from country, americana, rock and latin influences, and it feels like we were able to capture that in this song.”

Penned by Bosko and Chuck Cannon, with Yoakam in mind, and produced by Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy, Katy Perry), “Heart Burn” is a steamy duet punctuated by baritone guitars that harken back to their Bakersfield roots, as the neo-traditionalists croon.

“When we wrote the second verse, I asked, ‘What would Dwight Yoakam say?’ I wanted it to sound dreamy and poetic, but with a western edge,” Bosko explains.

“Heart Burn” comes on the heels of Bosko’s recently released duet with Vince Gill, “Higher Ground,” and follows the release of her self-titled EP earlier this year, featuring five songs including current single “Neon Baby,” which saw her make her late night debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Bosko performed in Frisco at the ACM Country Kickoff at the Star on Tuesday, May 14, with Morning Hangover praising, “Annie has it all - she has the voice, the charm, the heart, the grit, the work ethic - everything about her screams future Superstar.”

She recently made her debut at Stagecoach and will perform on additional festival stages across the U.S. this spring and summer, including CMA Fest, Country Jam, Faster Horses and Watershed Festival.

About Annie Bosko
With a voice that beams like a ray of California sunshine, Stone Country Records/Brown Sellers Brown Management singer-songwriter Annie Bosko will release “Heart Burn” featuring Dwight Yoakam on May 31, a steamy duet produced by Butch Walker punctuated by baritone guitars that harken back to their Bakersfield roots. A student of legendary crooners like Patsy Cline with added inspiration from Shania Twain, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, The Beatles and more, the Golden State native pairs a sound anchored deep in the organic twang of ‘90s country with simple songs told from the heart, preaching equal parts healing and honky-tonk hope. Bosko broke out in 2014 with the SiriusXM/CMT hit “Crooked Halo,” bucking the bro-country trend for a traditionally flavored anthem that has now amassed more than 3 million streams. She went on to write songs recorded by Willie Nelson and Jessica Simpson, tour alongside Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton, sell out the famed Troubadour and perform on the Grand Ole Opry and at Ryman Auditorium–the fabled Mother Church of Country Music–while also becoming an in-demand studio vocalist and earning the title Artist to Watch from rolling Stone Country. After years of hard knocks and creative shapeshifting, Bosko is now embracing her true nature for creative rejuvenation. Working with producers Derek George and Mickey Jack Cones, a new batch of music pairs unapologetic twang, clever wordplay, and deep compassion with her long standing downhome-diva vocal, capturing the full range of timeless American art in its purest form. In 2023, Bosko released the powerful-yet-tender ballad “Dandelions” in memory of the victims of Nashville’s Covenant School shooting–a track written alongside Danny Myrick which has now become a beacon of community remembrance and faith. Lost in grief and capturing the reverberating shock of that day’s unfathomable loss, the track has been embraced by the Covenant School families themselves, with all proceeds being donated for their benefit through ACM Lifting Lives. Her five-song EP Annie Bosko is available now, featuring sharp-yet-simple, pure-country songs written or co-written with hitmakers like Jeffrey Steele, Bridgette Tatum and more, all aimed at uplifting, inspiring or just singing along with women and country-music lovers everywhere.

About Dylan Schneider:

Drawn to the storytelling aspects of country music, Dylan Schneider started performing and writing songs at the age of 14, after meeting Brett Eldredge and singing with him on-stage during a concert. After that, he began posting videos to his Facebook page, where he’d cover popular Country songs, gaining a devoted online following. Since then, Schneider has made a name for himself in the Country music community, forging a sound that merges modern pop sensibilities with a down-home feel. He’s been named a “Breakthrough Artist to Watch” by Amazon Music, an “Artist to Watch” by Pandora, Taste of Country and Sounds Like Nashville and declared “Country Music’s Next Rising Star” by Billboard. He’s toured with Florida Georgia Line, Morgan Wallen, Kane Brown, Scotty McCreery, Dan + Shay and more, co-wrote Dustin Lynch’s Top 5 hit song “Momma’s House,” scored two RIAA-certified Gold records, accumulated over 1.8M social media followers and banked an upwards of 350M on-demand streams (and counting). Signed to BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, the MusicRow-praised “Next Big Thing” released his latest EP, Bad Decisions, on April 26th, right before making his Stagecoach Festival debut performance. Embracing his irresistible rock-n-roll edge and unrestrained pop-country swagger that gained him over 500,000 social media followers in just a few months, the six-track EP features his viral hits “Ain’t Missin’ You” and “Bad Decisions.” Kicking off 2024 on Nate Smith’s “World On Fire” Tour, Schneider will headline his own 2024 “Bad Decisions” Tour as well as join Kane Brown’s “In The Air” Tour this fall.

About MaRynn Taylor:
MaRynn Taylor moved to Nashville in 2019 to pursue music and entered an almost dreamlike scenario. Caught in the rain during CMA Fest, she was serendipitously handed a flyer for Black River’s 60-Second Spotlight. That evening, she watched Music Fest from Black River’s suite at Nissan Stadium. On the day of the CMA Awards that year (11/13), she signed her Recording and Publishing deals with Black River during an on-air interview with Bill Cody on the legendary 650 AM WSM Coffee, Country and Cody. Now, the rising star's garnered more than 33 million cumulative streams, 12 Telly Awards, was named one of CMT’s “Next Women of Country” (2023), and earned her place as an artist to watch. Her sassy "Make You Mine" "delivers big notes" (Billboard) and marks Taylor's first Top 50 hit on Country radio. MaRynn made her Grand Ole Opry debut in June of 2023 and returned to the coveted stage only weeks later. This Fall, Country Music’s fast-rising "female powerhouse" (Country Now) vocalist MaRynn is slated to hit the road as direct support on Dylan Schnieder's Bad Decisions Tour. Eager to share new songs, her new EP, Get To Know Me, is coming on May 31. “I genuinely care about people and their feelings. I’m a good listener and want to be there for people. There’s not enough of that in the world right now.” Today, MaRynn is no longer the little girl dreaming on the front porch; she is the voice ready to inspire a generation.

Underground 90s UK industrial outfit History Of Guns presents 'When You Don't Matter' single, an unflinching look at abandonment

“Invisible hooks that will sink further in” ~  Auxiliary Magazine

"As a band, Hertfordshire's History of Guns is something of a musical chameleon. Like Killing Joke and Nine Inch Nails, they’ve taken on new forms whilst remaining easily identifiable in their journey from goth rock to post-punk and darkwave to EDM and wider electro-goth hybrid territory. The tension of opposites that characterises much of their work propels it forth to an electronic beat, the vocals uncoiling, snake-like, atop a steady electronic catchment" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

“Polished, dramatic, full of poise and binding sentiment, and one of awesome sound and feeling” ~ Liverpool Sound and Vision

Underground 90s industrial legends History Of Guns presents their new single 'When You Don't Matter'. This is the second taster of their 'Half Light' album, following the lead track 'No Longer Earthbound', where the band takes a typically unflinching look at abandonment.

Their eighth record to date, it will be released via the Liquid Len Recording Company. Serving up their unique meta-modernist Industrial sound,

On hiatus from 2012 to 2022, they returned with the album 'Forever Dying In Your Eyes' and then set about finishing an electronic project they’d begun in 2008. The result is this 'Half Light' album, produced by Max Rael, mixed by Max Rael and Caden Clarkson, and mastered by Pete Maher (U2, Pixies, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails).

Formed in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire in 1996, History of Guns became frontrunners of the UK's Wasp Factory / FuturePunk scene of the early 2000s and their 2004 single 'Your Obedient Servant' was ultimately championed by The Quietus and Mick Mercer as one of the “thirty best goth singles of all time”.

On this album, founding members Del Alien (vocals) and Max Rael (keyboards, programming) are joined by guitarist Caden Clarkson, the newest member of History Of Guns. Exploring the human condition through various musical genres

Del Alien - an original punk turned goth - is an anti-authority seeker of truth and the questions behind the questions. Max Rael is in love with the idea of using music to create a separate universe for creating stories and escaping into, was an autistic, music-obsessed child, absorbing a dozen genres before diving into trance after Britpop ruined the alternative scene.

“I think most people know of either a moment, or something sadly longer, when you're on your own, and no one knows where you are, how you are, or even if you're alive or dead. I think this like a History Of Guns version of a ballad, for abandonment. But whenever we have something we think is beautiful, we always have to smash it up somehow. From an existential point of view it might be true, maybe we don’t matter.  We are meaning-seeking creatures in a world with no objective meaning. Ultimately we have to find a way to make ourselves matter to ourselves,” says multi-instrumentalist Max Rael.

Del Alien adds, "It's like the vain attempt to help people. Maybe they know it, maybe they don't. It's not a personal thing is it? Is this what society has done to us? Is it worth you thinking about? Getting cold in a box just to be burned and scattered to the wind, only to end up in the mouth of a dying junkie… or like sleeping with the sanest lunatic you ever met, but there’s no one there in the morning to make you breakfast. If the product is not good from the start, how can it be in the end?  Losing the place you stand, just to hold another’s hand.”

Influenced by Killing Joke, PWEI, Bauhaus, Coil, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy and Nine Inch Nails and Swans, History of Guns was a big part of the UK underground industrial scene of the 00s, playing Whitby Gothic Weekend, as well as Futurepunk and Back to the Futurepunk events.

As of May 20, 'When You Don't Matter' is available from fine music platforms, including SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp, where the 'Half Light' album (out June 20) can be pre-ordered..

Octavian Winters and electronic music icon Mark Pistel (Consolidated, Meat Beat Manifesto) team up for 'Nebula / Velveteen' release

"A dark and lush tapestry of near-classic post-punk, oscillating between shadow and shimmer. Reflecting the troubled times that we live in, sublime dark sonic delight" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Feels like it was recorded in a studio deep beneath the earth, drawing power from subterranean caves and bubbling magma... tectonic thunder... Such power, strong and true, a voice that scales the wall of sound beneath her with ease" ~ Joyzine

"A dark musical weave forged of post-punk and gothic strands. A sonic web of pulsing bass grooves and shaded ethereality, dark and delicious guitar slashes and haunting sound washes" ~ The Big Takeover

"Seriously compelling incitement, which Aursjoen’s tones and the electronically atmospheric mists around her only escalate"
~ Ringmaster Review

San Francisco post-punk outfit Octavian Winters has teamed up with Mark Pistel (Consolidate, Meat Beat Manifesto) on their new two-track single. Out April 30 via Stratis Capta Records, the A-side 'Nebula', which underscores the inevitable impermanence of all that is seen and unseen, known and unknown, is complemented by Pistel's infectious pulsating remix of 'Velveteen'.

Formed in 2022, Octavian Winters is guitarist Stephan Salit (Thrill of The Pull), drummer Randy Gzebb (Thrill of The PullLove Club), bassist Jay Denton and Ria (Amenti) Aursjoen on vocals and keyboards. Together, they weave their visceral and ethereal sound into a texture all its own – of stories once told but half-remembered, under a dusk of shadows and stars, in an abandoned city under the winter moon.

A producer, engineer, programmer, remixer and songwriter active in the electronic music scene since the 80s, Mark Pistel is perhaps best known as a founding member of the band Consolidated and contributing member of Meat Beat Manifesto since 1997. From his own Room 5 studio, he has worked with The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, Grace Jones, Therapy?, MC 900 Foot Jesus, Machines of Loving Grace, Hector Zazou, Mark Stewart, Lee Scratch Perry, Cabaret Voltaire's Stephen Mallinder and Fishbone's Angelo Moore.

Pistel explains, "Randy Gzebb called me about remixing one of the tracks off 'The Line or the Curve' EP. I was excited to do so, as we'd recorded some of these vocals at my Room 5 Studio in San Francisco. I chose to do 'Velveteen' as I already loved the track with its fantastic vocal melody and Stephan's unstoppable guitar hook! I  took on the track with pulsing analog synths and a slamming dance floor beat for the clubs."

Octavian Winters also present their new video for 'Nebula', created by filmmaker David Kruschke, who also produced the band's most recent video for the original version of 'Velveteen'. Both songs were lifted from the band's debut EP 'The Line or Curve', released in October 2023, following videos for 'Undertow', 'Ondine' and 'Surreal'.

"Nebula began as an experiment. I was trying to pin down the concept of the song in my head lyrically for a while and just knew it felt very “big”, even apocalyptic in a way. I kept envisioning a sort of “last day at the end of the world” — what would the sky look like? Would we know and understand what was happening? There is this broadly Gnostic idea of the universe as unfolding and unfolding through what are called Aeons, essentially levels of manifestation, until we get this world we live in here," says Ria Aursjoen

"I imagined this world reaching the fullness of its life, that whole cycle ending — and then everything reversing, refolding back to the start to make way for the next universe. There is a lot of esoteric symbology referenced in this song for those out there who like that sort of thing. The incredible thing about symbolic language is that it can have so many levels of meaning depending on the viewer/listener. I am sure I will understand my own words to this in new ways, in the future."

Drawing from darkwave and post-punk traditions, Octavian Winters dives into the ethereal, their layered music counterpointing edged grooves alongside lush synth textures and soaring vocal harmonies.

Randy Gzebb explains, "We were discussing what song idea we should work on next during the writing process and Ria brought in the demo of Nebula. We listened once and started playing it at rehearsal and after a couple of takes, everyone had their parts locked down. I started to play with the Tom groove and tried to make it powerful, but still leave some space for the track to breathe. The rhythm and tempo set the overall tone and emotional mood of the song, with guitar and pulsating bass creating a haunting atmosphere with powerful vocal lines".

'The Line or Curve' EP was recorded in San Francisco by Mark Pistel (Meat Beat Manifesto, Consolidated) at OW Studio and Room 5 Recording, the band produced this EP with William Faith (The Bellwether Syndicate, Faith and the Muse, Christian Death, The March Violets), who also mixed and mastered it at 13 Studio in Chicago.

Over the years, members of Octavian Winters have shared the stage with many iconic acts, including Nine Inch Nails, Killing Joke, Lords of the New Church, Savage Republic, Christian Death, The Frozen Autumn, Everything Goes Cold and Black Tape for a Blue Girl.

The 'Nebula / Velveteen (Mark Pistel Remix)' single is out now, available digitally from fine music platforms, including via Apple MusicSpotify and Bandcamp, where 'The Line or Curve' EP is also available. The band's next headlining concert is on Friday, July 26 at San Francisco's DNA Lounge with support from Halou and Sword Tongue as support.

Brooklyn post-punk outfit CLONE reveals 'Redeemer', a caustic taster of debut 'CL. 1' album

"Loud, aggressive disharmonies flow into a flood of raging and conflicting emotions where droning reverb-injected riffs, angsty and obsessive excruciatingly ringing John McGeoch-esque guitar strains" ~ White, Light White Heat

"Feeding what are now greedy expectations, fuelled by this smashing earworm, Clone ignites a firestorm of sonic pleasure - enthralled and fascinated with its sonic impression, emotional turbulence and convincing delivery" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Highly Urgent Political Rock" ~  Destroy // Exist

"A monument to what seems like a dying art form, CLONE emerges from the streets of Brooklyn—streets that have been fertile ground for underground music for decades—to remind us of what a band can truly be in an age of digitization, pre-fabrication, and superficiality" ~ Idioteq

Brooklyn post-punk outfit Clone presents their invigorating new single 'Redeemer', which is about cult leaders and the “cult” of personality surrounding politics and celebrities. A scathing indictment of the modern obsession with the cult of personality that folks so easily create and bow down to. Hollow trends, manufactured personas, this is a cleverly-constructed sonic commentary on a world obsessed with the superficial and the emptiness that lurks beneath the surface.

'Redeemer' is the third taste of their debut 'CL. 1' album, following 'Immutable' and 'Dividing Line' with its multi-media video created by Preston Spurlock. Through their sharp guitars and penetrating vocals, this is a call to arms to see through the charade and puncture such phenomena as hero worship, hype and propaganda (and to get back to what is real).

This album will be released on vinyl and digitally via Portland-based Little Cloud Records and North Carolina's 5BC Records on June 21.

Clone is led by LG Galleon, best known as frontman of Dead Leaf Echo.  On this album, he is joined by NYC musicians Gregg Giufree (Pilot to Gunner), Max Idas and Dominick Turi. Live, he is joined by Paul Liziragga (Namesake) and Alex Cox (The Veldt).

“'Redeemer' is about convincing yourself that betrayal can be used a form of trust. Religious groups always need a scapegoat, who has failed them, to rely on to strengthen beliefs within their core," says LG Galleon.

"Like the smiling face on your television, it only takes a viral face to dictate policy to the people. Whether it’s Donald Trump paying homage to Hannibal Lecture or Eric Adams telling immigrants to become lifeguards because he thinks they’re good swimmers. Even the lowest level of intelligence can enthrall and convince the public with ridiculous statements."

Clone started playing shows in summer of 2019, building their fanbase organically, brick by brick, word of their incendiary live shows spreading. Each time they play, more are won over.

Operating in what’s rapidly becoming an antiquated model, they’re a unit of parts. Egalitarian in their writing process, one where songs are built upon inchoate sparks offered freely by any member, letting the jams run free in their rehearsal space until there’s a complete song, guided by the alchemy of intuition. There’s no rule book here, and no one defining member, but there is a palpable chemistry.

As a debut album, 'CL.1' is a damn auspicious opening volley, recorded and mixed by NYC legendary producer Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth, Swans, Brian Eno, John Zorn, Herbie Hancock, Iggy Pop, Helmet, Dresden Dolls, Cop Shoot Cop) at his famed BC Studio, built by Brian Eno. Produced by LG Galleon and Bisi, it was mastered by Fred Kevorkian.

Clone's music is evocative, in ethos and ambition, of a time when music still could change lives. Their lyrics involve the struggles and critiques of the working person's daily life.

Rooted in belief in its galvanizing, redemptive power, the kind which used to be written for the lonely and the scarred and the diffident (before something truly was lost), something deeply enmeshed within the human psyche that could be shared. Clone are fitfully reclaiming this, which at its crux, is the imagination of youth. It’s captured vividly here, and their private universe of sonic exploration is now open to all.

'Redeemer' is out now, available exclusively through Bandcamp, while the previous two singles are also available on Apple Music, Spotify and elsewhere online. On June 21, the 'CL. 1' album will be released everywhere digitally and as a 12" vinyl LP - the Salt Sea Strain Edition entails an impressive black and white mix.

Axe shredders can now conjure the wickedly distorted riffs and eerie, melodic dissonance that Necrofier harnessed on their most recent album, Burning Shadows in the Southern Night. Idiot Box Effects has blessed the band with their very own custom guitar pedal.

"The new Echo Drive is a collaboration between me and the KILLER black metal band Necrofier", says Atarimatt, who's been making effects and noiseboxes full time under the name IdiotBox since 2011. "Plug this sucker in and bring on TOTAL SOUTHERN DARKNESS!!!"

The Necrofier Echo drive is a tube screamer-style overdrive pedal. It runs into two separate echo circuits. The left switch is for echoes, while the right switch does overdrive. Each knob is named after a different raw ingredient in the band's evil alchemy: Reflection (echo 1), Chaos (echo 2), Alchemy (echo signal mix), Flame (overdrive volume), Strike (overdrive intensity) and Darkness (tone).

A limited run of first-edition, autographed Necrofier Echo Drive pedals are available on Bandcamp while supplies last. The pedal can also be purchased through the IdiotBox Effects webstore.

Deep within the scorching cauldron of Texas, the alchemists of Necrofier have brewed another potent dose of American black metal with their sophomore full-length, ‘Burning Shadows in the Southern Night.’ The Houston four-piece honors the time-tested virtues of traditional black and heavy metal, even taking an organic sonic approach, tapping seven-time Grammy-nominated producer and engineer Joel Hamilton (Unsane, Tom Waits, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, etc.) to lend his magic touch for a natural sound.

“The goal going into the new record was to start setting ourselves apart from our contemporaries,” explains Necrofier drummer Dobber Beverly. “One of those ways was changing what the record sounded like. Moving away from the clinical and sterile nature that most productions suffer from and back into a real room with real instruments and performances. Our friend and esteemed producer/engineer Joel Hamilton had expressed interest in venturing back into the metal world and offered to make the record with us at his facility, Studio G Brooklyn. The results will speak for themselves hopefully, as this record breathes and spits fire wherever it’s played.”

“Dobber and Joel have become good friends since they recorded the last Oceans of Slumber album with him, adds Necrofier guitarist and vocalist Bakka. "After that, Joel wanted to record something heavy, so we made the trip to New York City to record in his legendary studio. It was an amazing experience in a great studio; besides having all the gear, he also created an environment where we challenged ourselves and brought everything up to the next level.”

‘Burning Shadows in the Southern Night’ doesn’t just simply pick off where Necrofier’s debut album left off, but displays a conscientious effort to double down on the elements that made ‘Prophecies of Eternal Darkness’ successful. The solos are more plentiful and intricate, the hooks are more anthemic, and the overall musicianship is bolder and more daring. Speaking of the band’s evolution, Bakka explains, “I think this collection of songs represents us very well. We have grown together as a band and it shows in the new songs. Also, for this record we flew to NYC and recorded all day long for 10 days straight. I love recording this way because it captures a certain magic. The whole band is immersed in the process and it's all we would think, do, live and breathe during the process.”

Another core facet of Necrofier’s allure is being a black metal band from Texas. “Where you live always helps shape someone,” says Bakka. “It helps shape our style and tone in ways, it’s hot most of the year, so as we burn, it gives us warmer tones and more of a heavy metal influence than when compared to our brothers from the North."

To that avail, Necrofier isn’t your typical black metal band, and so this isn’t your typical black metal record as there’s a healthy amount of traditional metal influences, particularly within the guitar work. While conceptually, the band doesn’t heavily rely on Satanic themes, exploring deeper human philosophies and the occult like burning for your dreams or spiraling out on a psychedelic trip and exploring the beyond. “While there isn’t overt satanic worship in the lyrics, I would still say that he is a friend of ours,” Bakka cheekily says. “There are Occult themes on this record, but at the same time, it does take a philosophical approach.”

Further illustrating the influence of their environment, Necrofier also heavily explores one of Southern America’s most fabled myths. “The new record touches on selling your soul at the crossroads,” adds Bakka. “I like to take a different approach and touch on the elements of the esoteric world and dive into the forbidden or hidden that surrounds us in our lives every day.”

As the Texan black metal outlaws saddle up for record two, they are leading the charge as one of the contemporary purveyors of black metal revivalism. ‘Burning Shadows in the Southern Night’ is certain to elicit a sense of nostalgia for those who dare to lay ears on this vicious new offering.

SETH Pierce Through Shadows On New Single

SETH are the harbinger of a sound that's steeped in the clandestine narratives of Parisian lore and rebellion. Today, the French black metal band are releasing "Dans le Cœur un Poignard", from their upcoming album La France des Maudits. Their latest single is a dark ode to those who bear the mark of betrayal and suffering within their hearts.

Watch the music video for "Dans le Cœur un Poignard" Below

La France des Maudits is out July 14, on Bastille Day, through Season of Mist.

Pre-order & pre-save: https://orcd.co/sethlafrancesdesmaudits

The haunting melody of "Dans le Cœur un Poignard" weaves through a labyrinth of Parisian despair, illuminating the darkest corners of a wounded heart. Lyrically, the track is a poignant narrative of anguish and defiance, serving as a siren call to those who navigate the treacherous waters of existence with a dagger sheathed within their soul. Seth, with their meticulous craftsmanship, etch a tale of sorrow and resilience, emboldened by the ethereal whispers of a love lost to the voracious appetite of betrayal.

"Dans mon cœur ce poignard. Toujours souffrir, Jusqu'à la mort!", Saint Vincent echoes. It's a stark reminder of the perpetual battle against the specters of our past, encapsulating the essence of human struggle, a relentless journey punctuated by moments of exquisite pain and sublime liberation.

Alongside the haunting melodies of "Dans le Cœur un Poignard", Seth has commissioned a visually arresting music video, bringing the song's themes of betrayal, anguish, and defiance to life with heart-piercing imagery. Helmed by the visionary Pierre Reynard, the video is a striking piece of art that beautifully accompanies the song's melancholy.

In the solemn shadows of a lyrically resurrected Paris, where the whispers of revolution still haunt the cobblestones and the phantom caress of the guillotine's blade lingers in the air, stands a band – not merely of musicians, but of modern Marats, Robespierres in leather and lace, anointed with the spirit of insurrection. SETH, the harbingers of a dark yet fervidly awaited dawn, are poised once more to unleash a tempest upon the sanctified silence of the contemporary music scene with their newest auditory uprising, La France des Maudits.

The history of black metal formation Seth and Season of Mist spans back to the early days of the French metal scene. The band’s debut Les Blessures de L’Ame (1998) was one of the first releases on the label. This album is now regarded as a cornerstone in French black metal, pioneering the usage of their native tongue on a black metal record.

The release of Les Blessures de L’Ame quickly gained international attention and Seth built a solid fanbase. The French blasphemers signed a two-release deal with Osmose Productions and participated on the MAYHEM cult tribute album Originators of the Northern Darknessalongside IMMORTAL and BEHEMOTH. The second full-length The Excellence came out in 2000 and featured a contribution from none other than Fenriz (DARKTHRONE), who wrote the lyrics for the song Let Me Be The Salt In Your Wound.

Shortly after, the group recorded their third album Divine-X (2002) at the Excess Studios in Rotterdam (EPICA, AFTER FOREVER, SINISTER). This record demonstrated the ability of the band to mix gloomy and violent atmospheres and received extensive coverage from the international metal press at the time.

Returning to the Netherlands to record the fourth album Era-Decay(2004), two new members joined the ranks of Seth: vocalist Black Messiah and guitarist Cyriex. Afterwards, the band was invited to play at the prestigious Inferno festival in Norway in 2005.

A long hiatus followed, until the band returned in 2011 to play an exclusive show in Germany with the German cult act BETHLEHEM. The band re-joined the ranks of Season of Mist, eventually releasing The Howling Spirit (2013) and embarking on a European tour with PESTILENCE. Several appearances at major festivals followed, including Hellfest and Graspop Metal Meeting, concluded by a Canadian headliner tour with new vocalist Saint Vincent (BLACKLODGE).

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Les Blessures de L’Ame in 2018, Seth exclusively performed the entire album at festivals in Switzerland, Canada (Messe de Morts) and Belgium (Thronefest). The French label Les Acteurs de l’Ombre productions released a live recording of these shows, called 20 ans de Blasphème. The band’s new line-up features members of LOUDBLAST, ARKHON INFAUSTUS and MELTED SPACE.

In the twilight year of 2021, within Paris' shadow-ridden crypt, Studio Sainte Marthe, an album was birthed from Seth's tumultuous revelation, christened, La Morsure du Christ. Earning plaudits of wonder, it was no mere collection of hymns, but a solitary harbinger of deconstruction, a cataclysm of unseen proportions. Inspiration seeped from Notre-Dame de Paris—her skeletal frame ablaze in a 2019's firestorm—an emblem of decaying faith for a godforsaken era. As heavy as the iron heart of a guillotine, La Morsure du Christ echoed through the chambers of 2021, reigning supreme in a multitude of international & French metal charts, as well as its inclusion on premier streaming platform playlists. Bold symphonies interwoven with razor-sharp lyricism and a sophisticated conceptual resonance that dared to envision black metal through a revolutionary lens.

Rooted deeply in the soil that once drank deeply of royal and commoner blood alike during the tumultuous fervour of the French Revolution, Seth presents their latest opus - a black metal gospel according to the damned and the outcast. An intricate tapestry of shadows and defiance emerges from the darkness of history's recesses, swirling with the mists of apocalyptic visions and the ashes of fallen angels. La France des Maudits is a declaration of war, a call to arms for the souls still smouldering beneath the veneer of a world too long gripped in the cold hands of a moribund orthodoxy.

With the fractured bones of dead gods beneath their boots, Seth voyages through the forbidden and the occult, tracing the lines of ancient prophecies and the decadent whispers of La Grande Catin Écarlate, the scarlet woman of the apocalypse. Their songs, from Paris des Maléfices to Insurrection, resonate with the echoes of a Paris besieged not by armies, but by souls clamouring for liberation - a city where each stone tells a tale of defiance, where every shadow harbours the spirit of revolt.

Lyrically, La France des Maudits is dripping with the wine of condemned men and the blood of saints, narrating the epic saga of rebellion from the ashes of a fallen Notre-Dame. This is not the Paris of light, but of enlightening darkness, where the façades of grandeur crumble to reveal the raw flesh of true humanity, writhing in its eternal struggle against divine oppression. Here, in the very heart of darkness, Seth finds its muse among the cacophony of broken chains and shattered dogmas.

Prepare to march beneath the banner unfurled by Seth, in the grand tradition of those unyielding souls who once stormed the Bastille and dared to dream of a world remade.La France des Mauditsbeckons - not to the gallows, but to glory.

Filth Is Eternal to support Baroness this summer!

Seattle’s Filth Is Eternal is confirmed to support metal juggernauts Baroness this summer on their U.S. tour. FIE joins Baroness on June 12 in Lawrence, KS and wraps the tour on June 30 in Stroudsburg, PA (full dates below).

Frontperson Lis Di Angelo says, "We are so excited to be hitting the road with Baroness. We’ve been following them for a long time and have loved everything they’ve ever released. It’s going to be truly special sharing the stage with them every night, and once again getting the opportunity to see all our road family while we are out there!”

Filth Is Eternal released their new album, Find Out, last fall, and it highlights the band’s deep-rooted attention to songwriting. Exploding with fresh ideas, heavy on hooks, and clandestine melody, Find Out is a clear breakout release for FIE, not to mention a future staple for heavy music fans worldwide. Using the talents of producer Paul Fig (Slipknot, AFI, Alice In Chains) while recording at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 and Dave’s Room, Find Out adds just enough spit polish in production to conjure the masses but still retains the dirt and grime necessary to remain congruous to the sound and fury within.

Praise for Find Out:

“With 14 tracks blurring by in well under half an hour with zero fucking around, of course, you’re left wanting more. But that’s the point. Filth Is Eternal, and they’re still just getting started. 4/5.” –Kerrang!

“The album, music, art, and all, feels like an encapsulation of their live show, which is a sight to behold and an absolute event.” –Invisible Oranges

“FILTH IS ETERNAL truly found out exactly what best makes them tick as a band, embracing the relationship they have with fans and with live shows. The end result is 14 songs of crusty, filthy metallic hardcore that are simply too good to ignore. 8/10” –Distorted Sound

Filth Is Eternal Tour Dates:

June 12 - Lawrence, KS - The Bottleneck
June 14 - Memphis, TN - Growlers
June 15 - Oklahoma City, OK - Diamond Ballroom
June 17 - Little Rock, AR - The Hall
June 18 - Nashville, TN - The Basement East
June 19 - Birmingham, AL - Saturn
June 21 - Richmond, VA - The Broadberry
June 22 - Charlottesville, VA - The Jefferson Theater
June 23 -  Silver Spring, MD - The Fillmore
June 25 - Millvale, PA - Mr. Small’s Theatre

BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville ACM Awards Wins & Recap - Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll & Jason Aldean

Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll and Jason Aldean proved the stars were shining bright at the 2024 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards airing live on Amazon from The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX, world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys. The aforementioned BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville artists would end the night capturing four awards and delivering three of the most memorable and breakout moments on the show.

Lainey Wilson kicked off the ACMs with her rendition of "God Blessed Texas" transitioning it into the broadcast debut performance of her latest single "Hang Tight Honey", delivering an electrifying performance that set the tone for "Country Music's Party of the Year." By the close of the broadcast, Lainey would earn the distinction of becoming the most awarded female artist of the night, securing the top honor as Entertainer of the Year. She also captured awards for Female Artist of the Year and Music Event of the Year for "Save Me" Jelly Roll with Lainey Wilson.

In her Entertainer of the Year Acceptance speech Lainey shared, "These past few years for us has been a complete whirlwind. I have been in Nashville for 13 years doing this. First of all, I want to say thank you so much, Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you to my team who fights for me every single day, who works so hard. My band - they show up. WME for booking me, all the time, everywhere. Y'all I remember being a little girl and I would climb out on the top of our roof. I'd open my window and climb out. I'd count all the stars and I'd look up and see the planes flying over my little town of 200 people. I'd dream about being up there in one of those planes and this year it is so crazy. We have already toured the UK, Europe & Australia and we're about to start our American leg. The funny thing is that I still feel like that little girl.I really do. I feel like I still climb out on the roof and I look at the stars, except I feel like I'm a little more eye level with them now. Everybody in this category has loved on me and believed in me, took me out on the road, sang songs with me, wrote with me, encouraged me every step of the way and I love y'all for that. I have the best fans in the world. Thank you so much. God bless y'all."

Jelly Roll, a first time nominee, would capture his first ACM Award for Music Event of the Year for "Save Me" with Lainey Wilson.  Giving the audience a first look at the his new music, Jelly Roll premiered an unreleased, fiery song, "Liar" on the broadcast.

In his acceptance speech, Jelly Roll stated, "I'm gonna try not to get emotional, but no pun intended, seriously, this song saved me. I was in a dark place. I wrote it from my soul. I knew people would connect with it. One year ago today, Lainey Wilson and I stood on this stage and debuted it. This song is a triple-platinum record. I wrote it with a high school friend. We never thought we'd be songwriters. I never thought I'd be standing here. I thought I would die or go to jail and I'm standing here as an ACM Award winner. You hear what I am talking about Texas! Let's go baby!"

ason Aldean, the ACM Artist of the Decade, took to the stage at The Star to honor the trailblazing and legendary Toby Keith who passed in February 2024. The "wonderfully touching" (Daily Wire) tribute "stole the show Thursday...with a moving rendition of Keith's hit 'Should've Been a Cowboy'" (Tennessean). AMERICAN IDOL’S TOP 5 RELEASE ORIGINAL SONGS AVAILABLE NOW VIA 19 RECORDINGS/BMG

Ahead of Sunday’s finale (5/21), American Idol’s Top 5 finalists today release their original songs via 19 Recordings/BMG Nashville. The iconic, star-maker competition series’ Season 22 finalists include fan-favorite standouts Jack Blocker, Abi Carter, Triston Harper, Will Moseley and Emmy Russell.

Jack Blocker

“All of Yours (To Give All of Mine)” It may first read as lighthearted and breezy, but there’s an unadulterated heft to American Idol Season 22 finalist Jack Blocker’s new singalong-style single “All of Yours (To Give All of Mine).” A tribute to his wife Georgia, who stuck by his side through life’s trying times, the effortlessly tuneful, self-penned song is a folk-tinged love story of the highest order: a toast to that sort of deep, truthful love only time and tribulation reveals.

Hailing from Indio, California, 21-year-old Abi Carter has a haunting voice and knack for songwriting. A born performer, Carter has wowed America with her theatrical and emotional performances week after week. On the anthemic “This Isn’t Over,” Carter’s breakout song, she tells a story about personal growth and becoming a stronger person, one who wishes to reach back in time and tell her younger self “This Isn’t Over.”

Listen closely as he sings because there’s an unbridled depth and time-honored maturity ingrained in the voice of 15-year-old American Idol Season 22's Triston Harper. It’s on full display on The Top 5 finisher's self-penned new single “H.O.P.E,” a plaintive blues-soaked lament. “Hope stands for hold on, pain ends/where’s the joy when you need it?” Harper croons, and you can feel the equal-parts pain and deep-set understanding emanating from the depths of his soul.

A truth-telling, husky-voiced troubadour, American Idol Season 22 finalist Will Moseley offers up a reflective new single “Good Book Bad” - a spirited and heartfelt tale of redemption. “Boy you need the good book bad/All your running around gotta slow down a little/ You’re living just a little too fast/You gotta meet the man somewhere in the middle,” he sings with definitive urgency. Like the most memorably resonant country songs, this essential release is concocted with the perfect recipe: honesty, forthrightness and supreme melody.

Descending from the legendary country music icon, the one and only, Loretta Lynn, it has been a journey for Emmy Russell to find her own sound and begin her own, distinctive musical journey. Finding joy and release in songwriting, Emmy began making the songwriting rounds around Nashville, honing her craft and eventually landing a publishing deal with Liz Rose Music. This past year, her talent led her to the American Idol stage where she captured America's hearts with her authentic, raw and endearing performances. Now, the country artist is poised to release her anthemic, energetic, cathartic heartbreak song, "Redemption.” The song came out of a painful breakup leading to Emmy finally realizing her worth and learning how to not place all her value in someone else's hands.

For more than 40 years, Loverboy have been "Working For The Weekend" (and on the weekend), delighting audiences around the world since forming in 1979.

The year 1982 represented a triumphant 12 months for the rock band with extremely successful arena shows in the course of their second studio album, the multi-platinum awarded US Top 10 record Get Lucky (featuring various hit singles such as the aforementioned "Working for the Weekend," "When It's Over," "Lucky Ones," and "Take Me To The Top"), and winning no less than six Canadian JUNO Awards — a record that still stands today.

Today's release of their 1982 live performance "Working for the Weekend" is another exciting foretaste of the incredible live show Live In '82 becoming available for the very first time in high definition on June 7. Pre-order it here.

Even after their incredible 40+ year career (and counting) Loverboy have no intention of cutting back. They embark on a Live Nation promoted North American tour supporting Sammy Hagar, starting in July 13 in West Palm Beach, FL, followed by a series of supporting shows with Foreigner in fall 2024. Suck Brick Kid Release New Album "The End Is What I Want" via Smartpunk Records

SUCK BRICK KID RELEASE NEW ALBUM THE END IS WHAT I WANT VIA SMARTPUNK RECORDS

Listen to the album here.

Physical copies of the album are available here.

Suck Brick Kid have mastered the art of poignant reflection amid hilarity on their latest album release.

After pulling their inspiration directly from the walls of the finest dive-bar restrooms in America, the band has reimagined these "latrine-limericks" into full-scale stories with lyrics from the perspective of the person who made the mark. These crass, comedic, and often chaotic influences are set against a backdrop of loud and fast punk music that exudes authenticity, relatability, and (sometimes) maturity. It is dedicated to those who find their home in hole-in-the-wall punk shows and the off-kilter communities of dive bar bathrooms.

Speaking about "The End Is What I Want," the band says, "After discovering this crude and desperate etching on a dive bar bathroom wall one night, the concept for this record was born as we began to dig deeper into 'what' these people were going through that led them to express themselves in this way. It really opened up the ceiling for us creatively as we were able to explore the perspectives of these 'vandals' and crafted a story for each after hand-selecting some of our favorite bathroom graffiti finds. This was also a fun challenge for us to compile these clever markings as it gave us something else to do in the bathroom besides just rip piping-hot pisses."

ABOUT SUCK BRICK KID:
With a decade of beers literally under their belt, Suck Brick Kid have defined themselves as "loud as fuck and fast as fuck." This is mainly because their vocabulary is small and rudimentary, at best. But also because they really do both of these things better than most. They don't take themselves too seriously and that's infinitely refreshing!

With a slew of conceptual albums already out, Suck Brick Kid aimed high for this new release and found inspiration in one of the lowest places imaginable...a dive bar bathroom. Bathroom graffiti is often over-looked, over-pissed-on, or even over-appreciated (I saw you draw a penis on that stick figure you dirty dog) but Suck Brick Kid wanted to tap into the mindset of some of these individuals and explore what they were (maybe) going through when they made their mark. This opened up possibilities for the songs that vocalist Grant Tchekmeian and guitarist Ian Marchionda cleverly navigated, as they crafted some of the most insane and absurd lyrical content to date. The End Is What I Want should strike a chord with any lover of punk music, dive bars, both of those things, or people who just like a cheeky poop joke — no that was not one, but you see what I did there.

This record is sure to put this band six feet under, in wooden suits, and left for the worms.

But before that happens, they've graced stages of FEST in Gainesville, Florida, and have also toured alongside Unwritten Law, Palisades, Set Your Goals, and more. However, the band is survived by the following family members (Grant Tchekmeian on vocals, Ian Marchionda on guitar, Daniel Valery on drums, and Hayden Cler on bass).

ABOUT SMARTPUNK RECORDS:
Smartpunk has been a recognizable name in the scene for a long time (Remember that sponsored Warped Tour stage?!). After exchanging several hands and countless ideas of what it could and should be, they decided to start a record label in 2016 with the main idea of focusing solely on reissuing records that have been out of print or never on vinyl. After all, they're a label of vinyl dorks themselves! After releasing Set Your Goals' Mutiny and Gameface's Good, they started to venture into signing newer bands. They actively balance in between many worlds — putting out amazing music from friends and bands that rock, reissuing older titles, and partnering with other incredible labels in our scene and doing exclusive color variants of their releases.

"Since forming the record label, Smartpunk Records has released timeless albums such as Less Than Jake's Anthem, Nominee's Lowlife, RIVALS' Sad Looks Pretty on Me, Virginity's POPMORTEM, and melodic skate punkers The Swellers' My Everest.

PAIN Release New Album "I Am" + Share Video For "Don't Wake The Dead"

Today, PAIN release their brand new album I Am via Nuclear Blast Records.

Filled with anthems like "Don't Wake The Dead" and the hit single "Party In My Head," alongside atmospheric tracks such as "I Am" and "Fair Game," the album seamlessly blends uplifting catchiness with introspective moments, marking Peter Tägtgren's most personal and boldest work to date. To celebrate the album release, PAIN are also sharing their brand new music video for "Don't Wake The Dead," which was written by Peter's son Sebastian Tägtgren.

Peter Tägtgren comments, "The first time Seb showed me the song I was blown away, from the beginning to the end, so dark, yet so beautiful. After I heard the song, I had a panic attack: 'How do I sing on this? And what?'

Watch the video for "Don't Wake The Dead" Below.

Stream/Order I Am here.

ABOUT PAIN:
It's 2021 and a pandemic is strangling the world — and no one seems to be having fun.

Seemingly tireless music freak Peter Tägtgren couldn't care less as he hits the jackpot with — pardon the harsh language — a fucking catchy... well, party anthem. We are of course talking about the song "Party in My Head" by Tägtgren's synth-infused metal project PAIN.

"I don't really know what it is about 'Party in My Head' that made — still makes — people go crazy for it... But what I do know for sure is that the song has already been enjoyed millions and millions of times. The numbers are pretty crazy! Of course, PAIN is no stranger to writing danceable and catchy, albeit metallic shit... it's always been in the DNA of this project. But let's face it: If the world really needs 'party anthems' from a cynical geezer like me, something's seriously wrong," Peter laughs.

Our beloved planet may be screwed, but there still doesn't seem to be much wrong in PAIN's world as 2024 ticks fast on the calendar. There simply can't be, because PAIN's eagerly awaited new studio album I Am is soon here — yes, after eight years of devoted waiting.

"The previous record Coming Home came out in 2016 and of course there was a tour after that. In 2019, I released an album called F & M with Rammstein singer Till Lindemann, a project I left in 2020. In 2021, it was time for my death metal band Hypocrisy to get active with a new album Worship and of course we toured again. If that wasn't enough, let's add that there was a studio album with Joe Lynn Turner in 2022... In other words: the last eight years have passed in the blink of an eye," Peter sighs.

"After all this, it was the perfect time for PAIN to go full force again. I felt excited to say the least. Needless to say, the success of 'Party in My Head' gave the album process an explosive start!"

Let's get one thing straight: the powerful-sounding I Am is truly a versatile — if not the most versatile — musical missile in PAIN's rich discography. The new songs go everywhere with heavy industrial riffs, haunting melancholic vibes, and groove-filled rhythms, without forgetting surprises, of course.

"There's no boundaries with PAIN. I just get an interesting idea for a song and along the way it can turn into anything. Sometimes, I also like to deliberately surprise people by following an exciting musical path where unexpected things happen," Peter describes.

"If I had one big goal this time, it was to add more intensity and edge to the songs. 'Coming Home' turned out great, but looking back now, I was maybe a little too deep into my 'David Bowie worship' with the orchestral stuff and the acoustic guitars. This time around, I definitely wanted more tempo, aggressiveness, and an industrial atmosphere. Going back towards the old times of PAIN? Maybe a bit..."

He continues, "'I Am' is also more of a family affair than ever before. My son Sebastian, also a PAIN drummer,  wrote the music of 'Revolution' and 'Don't Wake the Dead.' These absorbing songs add width to an already versatile album. All in all, completing I Am required a lot of composing, writing, thinking, experimenting, doing, and re-doing. It was a long and sometimes challenging process, but never painful!"

Speaking of surprises... What song will give fans the biggest wow effect this time?

"It must be 'Go With the Flow.' I dare to insist that when it starts rolling, even the deep connoisseurs of PAIN music are wondering what the heck is going on here. I would say it's my 'Depeche Mode in the 80s' song," Peter laughs. "Lyrically, 'Go With the Flow' represents a slightly brighter moment in the darkness. I always tend to think that everything is going to hell, but with this song I tell myself, 'Come on dude, let things be for once and go with the flow.'"

There may be these rare rays of light from the beacon, but darkness still prevails.

"The album's title track starts with the line 'There's no hope in the valley of death.' And if I look at the lyrics, I could dig up a lot other examples of similar sinister moods. But hey, a sarcastic guy like me and such gloomy times we live in... Are you expecting some sunny faces here? Well, sunny or not, PAIN is going to be busy for the foreseeable future. There will be a lot of touring to support the record — summer festivals, extensive tours here and there, and more," Peter says.

He finishes, "And what about the future anyway? Ask me again in eight years and there have been a few studio albums from different bands, a lot of gigs and something else. Yes, I am what I Am..."

Electronic Group Deep AL Brindle Announce "Are You Nervous?" + Share "Nervous"

Los Angeles-based electronic group Deep AL Brindle — comprised of Diego Castellanos and Alastair Wilson — are pleased to announce their debut album Are You Nervous? The record arrives on July 12 via Tooth & Nail Records. Pre-order it here.

The band's music is often a master class in smooth, chill vibes, and today, Deep AL Brindle have shared the new single "Nervous."

Listen here.

"It's the feeling of not being where you're supposed to be and time isn't on your side," the band states about the track. "You have an idea of where you want to be in life, but you feel like you're not there."

The band also shared a video of a live performance of the song. Watch it below for yet another taste of what DAB do best.

Deep AL Brindle fashion vibrant and vital electronic soundscapes around a core of live instrumentation with a heartbeat maintained by real drums. After building a rabid hometown following, gaining traction on streaming platforms, and landing a deal with Tooth & Nail Records, the group's two distinct personalities and styles congregate in one ever-evolving vision on their full-length debut album, Are You Nervous? "We bring a counter balance to one another," Castellanos says. "We challenge each other's tendencies, which is cool. As a drummer, Alastair brings the life back into the songs, and his presence reassures me that, as the saying goes, 'Two minds are better than one.'"

"It's really been a journey," adds Wilson. "I'm glad we're on it together."

A few years back, the pair initially bonded as friends. Soon, this friendship manifested as a creative partnership where they spent countless hours jamming and making music together. During 2019, Deep AL Brindle formally came to life with the release of CTRL V, followed by a string of buzzing singles. Tooth & Nail took notice, and the pair inked a deal with the label. They continued to create at a prolific pace, decamping to Mexico City at the end of 2023 to lay the foundation for what would become Are You Nervous? On this trip, Alastair tracked the majority of his drums at an intimate studio as they absorbed the energy of their surroundings. "It was my first time going to Mexico City," he states. "I grew up skateboarding, and that culture is strong there. We were visiting skate shops, and the studio experience was amazing. The food was great too."

Along the way, they made a conscious decision to place Castellanos' vocals front-and-center on the LP. Encouraged by crowd reactions at shows, they chose to "spice it up a bit."

Deep AL Brindle are ultimately creating a place to escape to with the record and much more to come. “This is a prelude of what we’re going to be. It's just the beginning," says Wilson.

My Epic Share "Heavy Heart" Video

My Epic — Aaron Stone [guitar, vocals], Tanner Morita [guitar], and Nate Washburn [guitar, bass] — recently announced their signing to Tooth & Nail Records. They will release their fourth album and label debut Loriella on June 28. Pre-order it here.

Today, the band has shared the video for "Heavy Heart." Watch it Below.

"'Small as you are — you've got a really heavy heart.' As huge as it is lively, 'Heavy Heart' is a massively satisfying finale of a rock song," the band offers. "Both a nod to the past and a blueprint for the future, 'Heavy Heart' is a roller coaster composition of dynamics and a declaration of unconditional love."

About the album, the band shared, "Loriella is a record about progression, joy, and the confidence that can only grow after the loss of innocence. It's the soundtrack to a hard-won optimism that comes from a commitment to living with 'open hearts and calloused hands.' Massive in dynamic, with intention in every detail, we've never worked harder and can't wait to share these songs."

ABOUT MY EPIC:
My Epic tune into this moment of reawakening on their fourth full-length offering and Tooth & Nail Records debut Loriella. Balancing waves of warm distorted fuzz with lush melodies and cinematic production, the group make the kind of music that rouses the senses and might just encourage you to open your eyes, mind, and heart a little wider.

"The record is about having lived long enough to lose your innocence and still being able to find joy, hope, peace, and faith," explains Aaron. "I can be a critical person, but there's a difference between being critical and cynical. I understand why people end up choosing cynicism, because sometimes it can seem like the best way to make sense of all the data in the world–but I think cynicism is death. It's part of my aim to fight cynicism at every turn. The album is about discovery and re-engaging life with purpose on new terms of your own."

Throughout the past two decades, the band have quietly, yet consistently engaged a devout fanbase with a simultaneously anthemic and intricate approach to alternative rock. They've progressed across the likes of I Am Undone [2008], Yet [2010], and Behold [2013]. The latter notably catapulted onto the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart. Generating millions of streams, their catalog expanded with fan favorite EPs such as Viscera [2016], Ultraviolet [2018], and Violence [2019]—which HM Magazine hailed as "a blend of indie-alternative enchantments.Meanwhile, Cory Brandan of Norma Jean lent his voice to "White Noises.” During 2020, the band signed to Tooth & Nail, turning the page on another chapter as they set their sights on their first full-length since 2013. In between, life happened as band members became dads and moved around personally and professionally.

For the first time, Nate assumed the role of primary producer, and Loriella materialized over the course of two years in three different studios. Along the way, they nodded to early inspirations such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, and Third Eye Blind.

Megan Takes The Cake: Kenny Chesney Duets, Celebrates w Moroney in Florida

When Kenny Chesney booked his Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour, he had no way of knowing Megan Moroney would be the leading female nominee at the Academy of Country Music Awards. The idea the young woman who hit No. 1 with “Tennessee Orange” wouldn’t be able to attend the ceremony wasn’t on the table, and then she received not one, two or three, but six nominations; ultimately winning for New Female Artist.

“Those nominations are such a big deal when you’re starting out,” says the 8-time ACM and Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year. “And the fact Megan was up for Female, as well as New Female, Song of the Year as writer and artist, Vocal Event and Visual Media for ‘Can’t Break Up Now’ with Old Dominion? That’s massive. I hated knowing she was missing the show, but when we’re not in stadiums, she’s my direct and only support.”

Having been in Frisco, Texas for the ACM kick-off Tuesday, where she won New Female, Moroney hit the Hard Rock LIVE! in Hollywood, Florida, ready to make some music. Having studied Chesney’s set-list, she had an idea of her own she wanted to try – and approached the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar about an invitation he’d thrown out opening weekend.

“I’d told her if she figured out what she wanted to sing with me, we’d do it,” Chesney says with a laugh. “And she came back saying she wanted to do ‘All The Pretty Girls.’ I can’t for the life of me figure out why, but she got up there sang the &%$ out of it. Talk about a moment. She had a vision, and she hit that stage and made it happen. She’s a force, and it was big fun.”

And the fun didn’t stop there. Beyond having their first musical throwdown, the man the Wall Street Journal calls “the King of the Road” wanted something to mark the moment for Moroney’s first major award. What could be better than presenting a cake? A cake and a little sip of the nightly mondo-margarita presented by Production Manager Ed Wannebo.

“It’s one of those things you hate to miss,” he says. “Though I think Megan has so many awards ahead of her, she’ll look back, knowing this was just the beginning. Winning New Female Artist matters, because it sets up the rest of everything. She couldn’t be there when they said her name as Female Vocalist, so I wanted her to have that experience with several thousand very close friends from No Shoes Nation.”

“I’ve always loved ‘All The Pretty Girls’ and was so excited to get up there to sing with Kenny,” Moroney says. “But when he gave me the cake, congratulating me on my award, I couldn’t believe it. Who does stuff like that? Especially at his level. I wish I could have been in two places, but Kenny and his road family went beyond to make my first ACM win so, so special!”

Beyond the stadium shows, where Chesney has been besting his personal records and has several already sold-out dates, Moroney is appearing on all of his amphitheater Sun Goes Down 2024 shows as well. All dates on the year’s tour are sponsored by Blue Chair Bay® Rum.

ACM New Duo of the Year Tigirlily Gold Makes Debut ACM Performance w/ “I Tried A Ring On”

When Tigirlily Gold released their current single “I Tried A Ring On” on January 5, the song kickstarted what has become a breakthrough year for the sister duo from North Dakota. Serving as the follow up to their top 40 single “Shoot Tequila,” “I Tried A Ring On” has catapulted the girls further into the mainstream, as the sisters were named 2024 CMT Next Women of Country earlier this year.

Amid their budding popularity, Tigirlily Gold – comprised of sisters Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh – was crowned the ACM New Duo of the Year during their ACM Awards Kick Off performance on Tuesday, May 14; their first major award show win.

To mark the occasion, they also made their award show debut performance with “I Tried A Ring On,” live during the 59th ACM Awards on Amazon Prime Video, which Vulture called “a stellar performance,” while Billboard noted it highlighted “their confidence and tight-knit performance ability on one of country music’s biggest nights.”

“It is such an honor to have been named ACM New Duo/Group of the Year,” Kendra shared. “We have been a band since we were kids, and we couldn’t feel more grateful for the year we have had. Getting to perform on the main show…it’s just a dream come true.”

Krista added, “We were always taught that if you work hard, are kind to people, and you never quit…good things will come. We could not be more excited to be recognized in this way.”

The Billboard-dubbed “harmonically savvy sibling duo” recently teamed with producers Shane McAnally, Pete Good and Alex Kline to create their debut album Blonde, due July 26, 2024. In addition to “Leroy,” released last Friday, the debut will feature “I Tried a Ring On,” along with the rowdy viral sensation “Shoot Tequila.” Filled with deeply personal tracks and poignant tales of love and loss alongside powerful anthems and songs of female empowerment, the pair says their goal was to bring girl group energy back to country music.

About Tigirlily Gold:
Sister duo Tigirlily Gold has been playing music together since they could walk, and officially formed their band in high school. Growing up, they crisscrossed the mid-west, growing a fierce fan base and selling out amphitheaters across their home-state of North Dakota. After moving to Nashville, they landed a weekly residence at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row on Nashville’s famed lower Broadway. Playing four-hour sets, three to four nights a week, the sisters developed a performance style that’s not only captivating and fun but shows just how entertaining is in their blood. After releasing their original song “Somebody Does,” in 2021, the track topped the iTunes chart and Tigirlily Gold was signed to Monument Records. They released their self-titled, debut EP in July 2021, working with multi-Grammy Award Winner Shane McAnally, and hit the road with artists like Walker Hayes and Ashley McBryde. Now, the powerhouse duo has embarked on a new musical chapter with their EP, Blonde –a deeply personal project that includes tales of love and loss alongside powerful anthems and songs of female empowerment. Their debut single at country radio, “Shoot Tequila,” reached the Top 40 and found viral success with millions of views across social media, and millions of streams across platforms. Their much anticipated follow up single “I Tried A Ring On” is at Country radio now. After making their Grand Ole Opry debut and performing to a national audience on the “TODAY Show,” Tigirlily Gold is ready to bring girl group energy back to country.

Alt-Pop Star Dela Kay Drops Upbeat New Single "Saving Face"

Alt-Pop sensation Dela Kay has released her latest single, “Saving Face,” today. Marking her fourth single release from her upcoming EP, slated for release in the coming months, “Saving Face” promises a rollercoaster ride of upbeat rhythms and cheeky lyrics.

“"Saving Face" is about that person in your life getting their karma. Once they've dug their own grave of lies or BS, there's no way they're getting out of it (aka no way they're "Saving Face")” says Dela. Crafted in collaboration with her trusted producer and co-writer Stefano Pigliapoco, along with co-writer Nick Cozine, the song packs a punch with its infectious energy and in-your-face attitude. Drawing inspiration from pop-punk influences, "Saving Face" is seamlessly infused with that signature Dela Kay edge.

The creative process behind "Saving Face" was a whirlwind of excitement and synergy. "We got together and immediately vibed off each other's energy," shared Dela. "The melodies flowed effortlessly, and before we knew it, the lyrics fell into place." Dela Kay is ecstatic about her latest release, expressing her anticipation for fans to experience the track's infectious energy firsthand. "This song is a testament to embracing authenticity and standing firm in the face of adversity," she exclaimed. "Super excited about this song and can't wait for my fans to hear it!"

MORE INFO:
Dela Kay
, who hails from the vibrant music scene of Nashville, TN, draws inspiration from artists such as The Maine, Maggie Lindemann, Paramore, and Avril Lavigne. “Saving Face” follows the success of her previous singles, “Nasty,” "IDWTAY" and "Let You Down," which have amassed over 210K streams and secured a spot on Shazam's Best New Music Apple Playlist. Dela Kay, who identifies as a songwriter first and foremost, believes that this phase of her career is her most authentic to date. With a commitment to releasing a series of singles throughout the rest of this year, she is determined to leave a lasting impression and make her mark on the music industry with her unique voice and perspective.

In 2014, her electro-pop style began to emerge through a collaboration with Grammy-winning singer/songwriter and producer, Femke Weidema; which eventually led to her first electro-pop/European-infused single release, “9 out of 10,” as Dela Kay in 2016. Named by Earmilk as an artist who was gifted “with a rich, distinctive vocal style” for her 2018 release of “Make You Mine,” Dela Kay went on to continue releasing singles and garnering hundreds of thousands of streams. In 2019 Dela Kay released “All My Love” through Sony Music, which ended up charting 49 on the top 150 global artist charts for Digital Radio Tracker as well as in the top ten for the Top Independent Charts. The release of “Think About You” shortly followed, which ended up becoming Dela’s highest-streamed song to date with almost 800k streams and counting. After a brief hiatus, Dela Kay marked her return by debuting a new, more alternative sound in 2021 with the release of “The Worst Part,” via Wonderland Magazine.

HUNTERGIRL’S REBELLIOUS ANTHEM “BAD BOY” AVAILABLE NOW

Named to CMT’s 2024 Next Women of Country, HunterGirl shares another side to her already impressive artistry, today releasing the infectious anthem “Bad Boy.” Featured on her upcoming label-debut EP, Tennessee Girl, coming June 7, the 19 Recordings/BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville artist throws caution to the wind in her irresistible, rebelling new song. Pre-order/pre-save/pre-add the EP here and listen to “Bad Boy” here.

Tennessee Girl shows the different sides of my personality. I separate songs into two categories in my head, Blue Jean and Leather Jacket songs. Blue Jean songs are the ones I write in my bedroom opening my diary to the world. Leather Jacket songs are where I want to feel tougher and have fun. Most people have only seen the Blue Jean side of my personality, but with this 6- song EP, I have the chance to show the full picture of me as an artist," shares HunterGirl.

Admitting her beguiling yet relatable taste in men, fantasizing about a tattooed-up, cigarette-smoking guitar player in a band, the explosive, head-rocking sing-along finds our heroine ignoring all the red flags in pursuit for the man of her illicit dreams. Written by this “Artist to Watch” (Country Now) with producer Lindsay Rimes and Greg Bates, “Bad Boy” marks a radically compelling addition to HunterGirl’s sonic and lyrical catalog. Embracing all her influences simultaneously from Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire to Kelly Clarkson and P!NK, Hunter is innately talented at writing lyrics that are true to her, while seamlessly delivering tracks that are both country and punk-pop-country leaning. In doing so, she readies a dynamically captivating project that beautifully embodies every part of her story that won her the hearts of millions as the runner-up on American Idol.

“The rising country star has continued to work hard and put herself out there on incredibly sincere and emotionally-charged levels” (Country Now), “transcending from talented aspiring artist to make her first steps toward the big leagues” (Billboard). About HunterGirl

America’s sweetheart, vocal powerhouse, and esteemed songwriter HunterGirl has been performing since she was three years old and writing songs since she was nine. In her teens, she honed her craft by performing at venues across the United States and working with veteran non-profits such as Operation Song, Freedom Sings and A Soldier’s Child, using music therapy to help numerous vets transform their stories into songs. After high school, she moved to Nashville and immediately started playing gigs at Lower Broadway’s most famous venues including Tootsie’s, Rippy’s, Jason Aldean’s Bar, The Listening Room, and HonkyTonk Central, winning songwriting contests such as “Nash Next” and the prestigious “Nashville Songwriter Association International” in her spare time. Recently, she competed and placed second on the star-making competition series American Idol, where she delivered standout performances and won the hearts of millions across the country including Idol judge and Country superstar Luke Bryan who proclaimed her the “new age Miranda Lambert” and his “favorite female Country voice.” After topping the iTunes All Genre and Country charts with her wistful “Red Bird,” HunterGirl has been a guest on Good Morning America, Live with Kelly & Ryan and The Kelly Clarkson Show as well as shared the stage with Country superstars Old Dominion, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Alan Jackson, Lainey Wilson, Trace Adkins, Charlie Daniels, Sara Evans and more. Named to CMT’s esteemed 2024 Next Women of Country, HunterGirl’s “Ain’t About You” made her the first female country artist in over 30 years to write her debut radio single by herself. Now, after making her Grand Ole Opry debut that earned her a lively standing ovation, she releases the anthemic “Bad Boy,” ahead of her label-debut EP, Tennessee Girl, coming June 7. Praised by Peoplefor her “incredible voice” and CMT for her “soaring vocals and superstar potential,” HunterGirl will hit the road with Luke Bryan and Kimberly Perry this summer. Chronicling “her current moment of transcending from talented aspiring artist to make her first steps toward the big leagues” (Billboard), HunterGirl - “a major, major new talent” (MusicRow) - is poised to become Country’s next big female artist.
