REIGN OF Z Release Official Music Video for "Nothing Gold Can Stay"!

Pennsylvania based, dark melodic metal band REIGN OF Z has released the official music video for their heartbreaking new single, "Nothing Gold Can Stay". Written by ROZ, JUSTIN SPAULDIN, and STEVE SOPCHACK, with lyrics from front-woman ZOSIA WEST, the deeply moving new single poignantly expresses the life-shattering pain and trauma of loss and grief. With an equally impactful music video directed by TOM FLYNN and produced by the band, "Nothing Gold Can Stay" is both beautiful and desolate, with equally impactful and tear-inducing visuals, while ultimately reminding listeners that loss only hurts because of the beauty that precedes it.

"This is a song for those who’ve loved tremendously, unapologetically, and knew no bounds. This was one of the biggest heartbreaks and took the longest to write because she needed the perfect lyrics to encapsulate her memory. This isn’t for the faint of heart, this is for the ones who had to pick up the pieces caused by grief." ~ Zosia West

REIGN OF Z was formed in 2018 with ZOSIA and BERG as the original members. A band that’s name was inspired by the beloved dog Reign and ZOSIA’s initially birthed a machine that has undergone vehicle breakdowns, a death on the road, losing half their band, and bankrupting themselves for a shot at this turbulent industry. To say REIGN OF Z isn’t just about a regal name they’ve literally undergone every obstacle thrown at them. Z and BERG always say, "we’re either too stubborn or too stupid to quit."

Impure Wilhelmina Cover King Crimson

As soon as Impure Wilhelmina got the idea for a covers album, they knew that "Fallen Angel" was a lock to make the track list.

"King Crimson is a band that all of us listen to regularly", the band says, "and 'Fallen Angel' was a song that we quickly and unanimously agreed upon".

Listen to Impure Wilhelmina's faithfully mind-bending cover of "Fallen Angel" below.

"Fallen Angel" is the second single from the band's upcoming EP. The first was a cinematic cover of Serge Gainsbourg's "La Javanaise", which you can watch
HERE

'Dead Decades' comes out on October 6, 2023. The EP also includes a cover of The Cure, along with two unreleased songs from their latest album 'Antidote'.

Pre-order it
HERE.

It makes sense that Impure Wilhelmina are fans of King Crimson. After all, the Geneva quartet have followed the British prog legends by constantly breaking the mold. For 25 years now, they've rolled hardcore riffs, velveteen cleans, atmospheric sludge and gloomy melodies into post-metal that's as sharp and versatile as a Swiss Army Knife. No wonder they've earned comparisons to KEN Mode, Paradise Lost and The Smiths.

"We didn't really know what it would sound like to cover such a prog monument", the band said about "Fallen Angel". "But we were surprised - and also, very proud - to see how well it suited out harmonic style."

For 25 years, Impure Wilhelmina has been shaping a singular music on the borders of rock and metal. The Geneva quartet has never been afraid to reinvent itself and to push back the stylistic barriers, without ever losing its strong identity. Intensity, melody, power and melancholy are the key words that guide the band's discography, developing record after record a subtle blend of metal, post-hardcore, new wave and indie rock sounds.

Impure Wilhelmina has experienced many line-up changes over the years around Michael Schindl, singer-guitarist, main composer and lyricist. Founded in 1996, the group quickly built a reputation in the local, then Swiss and European independent scenes. The band has released a 7″, an EP, a split and seven full-length albums (see discography).

Impure Wilhelmina has regularly collaborated with sound engineers and producers Serge Morattel (I Can't Believe I Was Born In July – 2001, L'Amour, La Mort, L'Enfance Perdue – 2004, Prayers And Arsons – 2008) and Raphaël Bovey (Black Honey – 2014, Radiation – 2017). These five albums illustrate the constant musical evolution of the band, which from a very dark and metal base gradually incorporates more rock elements. The clear vocals occupy an increasingly important place in the compositions, reinforcing the intensity and melodic depth.

In 2015, thanks to the great response to Black Honey, Impure Wilhelmina signed with the reference metal label Season of Mist, which published Radiation two years later in 2017. Skillfully navigating between melodies and dissonances, always at the service of raw emotion, this sixth album was unanimously acclaimed by the press and the public, opening the doors to wider recognition.

In 2019, the band received great reward by being one of the four recipients of the grants for contemporary music awarded by the City of Geneva. This support has enabled Impure Wilhelmina to start working on a new album with confidence and with the will to develop their sound and get out of their comfort zone. The band put a lot of efforts in the elaboration and production of its new songs, notably by calling on Yvan Bing, producer and sound engineer, to accompany the four musicians throughout the creation process. This successful collaboration began in the summer of 2019 and continued for over a year, giving rise to Impure Wilhelmina's seventh album, Antidote. Released in may 2021, this album is a testament to the creativity and versatility of the band, which never ceases to explore new horizons without ever getting lost.

After two European tours in 2022 (with Crippled Black Phoenix and MØL, then Shores of Null), Impure Wilhelmina focused in 2023 on the vinyl reissue of their second album "I can't believe I was born in July", for its 20th anniversary, and the release of a new EP entitled “Dead Decades”, which features three covers and two previously unreleased tracks.

Alex Hall Releases Retrospective "Her To Here" from Upcoming Album Side Effects Of The Heart

Walking the line of modern and classic with his outlaw spirit and his heart of gold, Alex Hall explores the rewards and consequences of following one’s heart on his upcoming debut album, Side Effects Of The Heart. His latest, “Her To Here,” finds Hall reflecting on a series of events that ended a relationship. Listen Below.

Written by Hall, Todd Clark and Travis Wood, “Her To Here” encapsulates Hall’s old soul and gentleman ways through its soulful lyrical delivery.

If I knew she was gonna call my bluff
I woulda wrapped my stubborn arms around her instead of acting tough
If I knew she wasn’t gonna hit the brakes
I’d’a chased her down the drive not watched her drive away

They’re ‘bout to turn the neon off
I’m barely hanging on the rocks
I leave my truck and catch a ride back home
Start replaying old voicemails with the phone up to my ear
How the hell’d I get from her to here?

Raised on a horse farm in North Georgia, Hall’s inspiration was born from country music legends Kris Kristofferson and Vince Gill, among others. Captivated by the art form, Hall began playing guitar at the age of 14. By 16, he had bartered a deal with his guidance counselor allowing him 60 absences in return for maintaining a passing GPA so he could begin pursuing his career. Intent on honing his skills, Hall formed a band and played over 125 dates a year across the southeast while completing his high school curriculum.

The influences and work ethic of his childhood drove the creation of the debut album, with a delivery reminiscent of the emotional honesty of Kristofferson, as Hall details the human experience of love, heartbreak, loneliness and what it costs to let the heart feel.

Following the release of title track “
Side Effects Of The Heart,” “Women And Horses (feat. Brandy Clark),” “Dad Now,” and “I Know A Guy,” “Her to Here” is the fifth song off Hall’s debut album Side Effects Of The Heart, due Sept. 15. Each track builds upon one another, further setting the tone for the rest of the highly anticipated album. Pre-order/save Side Effects Of The Heart HERE.

Hall hits the road this fall, supporting Tanya Tucker on tour stops in New York, N.Y., Knoxville, Tenn. and more. He’ll also perform at the Annapolis Songwriters Festival on Sept 16 and 17, and at AmericanaFest in Nashville on Sept. 22. For more information, visit
MusicByAlexHall.com or follow @MusicByAlexHall on all social media platforms.

About Alex Hall:
Alex Hall is ready to launch the next chapter of his career with his brand-new record, Side Effects Of The Heart. A project that tells the stories of everything the Singer, songwriter, and guitar player’s heart has been through these last few years.

Growing up on a small horse farm on the outskirts of Gainesville, GA, Hall’s earliest memory is hearing Elvis Presley on is grandfather’s radio. It’s a sound he never forgot, and one that prompted him to pick up a guitar for the first time when he was only four years old. He started learning the instrument seriously in middle school, and quickly graduated from choir solos to bar gigs. By the time he was in high school, Hall was playing over 150 shows a year.

After graduation, Hall moved to Nashville, TN and signed with Monument Records. He spent the last few years opening for Tanya Tucker and hitting the road with Brandy Clark, Little Big Town, and Tenille Townes. His debut EP on Monument Records, Six Strings, was a guitar focused project featuring the playing and vocal stylings of Hall’s heroes and friends – Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, John Osborne (of Brothers Osborne), Brad Tursi (of Old Dominion), Tenille Townes, and Kassi Ashton. Six Strings gained national acclaim from the likes of Vintage Guitar Magazine, Rolling Stone, and Cowboys & Indians, and helped Hall to be named to the Fender Next 2021 program.

Now, ready to bare it all, Hall is releasing his first full project as an artist with Side Effects Of The Heart. Out this summer, the album has a song for everyone…and a few for the dreamers out there like Alex Hall himself.

WANTED: KILLED THE COWBOY MARKS DUSTIN LYNCH’S STATEMENT RECORD

There’s a high noon showdown going on inside MULTI-PLATINUM star Dustin Lynch. At 38 and single, he’s admittedly at a crossroads: Does he settle down, start a family, and lean into domesticity, or continue to carve out a life of extraordinary experiences that most people only dream of? Announcing his statement-making sixth studio album, Killed The Cowboy, today (9/8), the charismatic man in the Resistol hat bravely tries to figure that out. Celebrating the September 29 release, Lynch is now featured across Paramount’s billboards in New York City’s Times Square in partnership with CMT. Pre-save/pre-add Killed The Cowboy (Broken Bow Records) here.

“When I’m off the road and working on my farm, I have a lot of inner dialogue. It’s a boxing match inside of me, between living in the moment and enjoying where I am, versus what's the best version of me five, 10, or 20 years down the road,” Lynch explains. “What do I want to be? What do I want life to look like? Who do I want to be around? Killed The Cowboy is that back-and-forth. It’s me asking myself, ‘Am I okay? Or am I weird for not having found my person yet? And is she even out there?’ My hope is that this album finds someone who needs to hear it. I want Killed The Cowboy to embrace the single people of the world and lift them up, to let them know that you don’t have to live a ‘normal’ life to still be happy in your own skin.”

It's a stunningly self-aware series of questions not only for Lynch to ponder, but for single and newly single people everywhere. Through his 12-track journey – with five to his songwriting credit – on Killed The Cowboy, they’ll realize they’re not alone, thanks to highlights like the introspective “If I Stop Drinkin’,” the shadowy ballad “Blue Lights,” and the yearning come-on “Lone Star.” But they’ll also find a friend at the party via his raise-‘em-up anthems, from “Honky Tonk Heartbreaker” and “George Strait Jr.,” to “Chevrolet” – a nostalgic dirt road rocker with Lynch’s labelmate Jelly Roll.

Available today (9/8), the lone cowboy squares off in the brooding title track with a power strong enough to bring even the toughest man to his knees: “A girl like you.” Set to Zach Crowell’s moody production and creating a smoky, midnight-Country sound as muscular as it is wounded, theJordan Reynolds, Devin Dawson, Anderson East-penned ode captures a romantic duel where only one will walk away.
Listen to “Killed The Cowboy” and watch the visualizer below.

“When I first heard ‘Killed The Cowboy,’ I was drawn to its haunting melody, and then I got to thinking about the lyric and realized, ‘Damn, I'm this guy right now in my life,’” adds Lynch. “Relationships can come in hot and heavy and then implode. But that heartbreak, in a weird way, also makes you feel alive, to have another person move you like that. You feel that roller coaster of emotion and passion, and that sparks me creatively as an artist.”

As the much-anticipated follow-up to Blue In The Sky, Lynch’s 2022 release delivered the history-making “Thinking ‘Bout You (feat. MacKenzie Porter),” which became the #1 song on the Mediabase 2022 Year-End Chart Country and #2 on the Billboard 2022 Year-End Country Airplay Songs chart. The PLATINUM, six-week #1 collaboration remains the longest-running Top 10 single in Billboard Country Airplay chart history at 28 weeks and Broken Bow Records’ longest-reigning single at Country radio. The acclaimed fifth studio album also featured hit “Party Mode” – launching an in-demand PARTY MODE TOUR – and Lynch’s latest chart-rising single “Stars Like Confetti,” that’s currently Top 15-and-rising at Country radio.

NAOMI COOKE JOHNSON INVOKES A MUSICAL ADRENALINE RUSH WITH LATEST SMASH “LIVIN’ AIN’T KILLED ME YET” OUT NOW

Equipped with an adventurous and fiery attitude, former Runaway June lead singer and chief songwriter Naomi Cooke Johnson returns with a pavement pounding anthem, "Livin' Ain't Killed Me Yet."  Semi-autobiographical, the song is a musical adrenaline rush celebrating living life to the fullest. Listen now HERE.

“This song is a perfect glimpse into the lenses in which I view life. To make my way through life I have had to take massive chances and risks, some of which have brought me to very scary places where thelessons were intense and the growth was painful,” said Cooke Johnson. “My brushes with danger, and even death, have made me want to live my life how I want to live it and on my terms with a sort of ‘is that all you got?’ attitude. If there is one thing I’m sure of, it’s that this all comes to an end for every single one of us and I want to feel alive while I am alive. I hope you love ‘Livin’ Ain’t Killed Me Yet.’”

Co-written by Naomi Cooke Johnson alongside Phil Bentley and producer Dan Muckala, “Livin’ Ain’t Killed Me Yet” is a scorching celebration of carefree fun with a chosen family of friends.

Watch below

The release of “Livin’ Ain’t Killed Me Yet” follows Cooke Johnson’s first offering of music in her solo catalog, “Girls of Summer.” Never resting on her laurels and teeming with a wanderlust for life and its stories, she’s anchored a career sharing songs that chronicle her childhood years of homeschooling and living on a renovated school bus to her current life as a working mom with a new baby balancing a recording artist’s schedule.

About Naomi Cooke Johnson:
Naomi Cooke Johnson’s life is a song worth writing and a story worth telling. Growing up impoverished with no education, Cooke Johnson found her refuge and purpose in music. She’s a real-world example of what’s possible when hope transcends hardship and a real product of the American Dream. This former lead vocalist of Runaway June, who co-wrote many of the trio’s acclaimed hits including the Top 5 smash “Buy My Own Drinks," made her official solo debut in the Country music scene with a strong dose of Shania Twain sass releasing “Girls of Summer,” a spirited celebration of carefree fun with a chosen family of friends. With powerhouse vocals and an irresistibly upbeat tempo, “Girls of Summer,” was fans’ first taste of blazing new music from Cooke Johnson who has truly come into her own as a solo artist. Her sophomore release is coming equipped with an adventurous and fiery attitude, as Naomi returns with, "Livin' Ain't Killed Me Yet” via BMG/BBR Music Group.  Semi-autobiographical, the song is, in typical Naomi fashion, a musical adrenaline rush celebrating living life to the fullest.

Distortion Music Group is Proud to Release the Stand Alone New Single "IKU-TURSO" from Finland’s Winter War Machine Wolfheart!!

WOLFHEART is set to unveil their highly-anticipated standalone single, "Iku-Turso,"in collaboration with Distortion Music Group. This powerful track is available on all major music platforms today, September 8, 2023.

Crafted by the talented songwriter Tuomas Saukkonen, "Iku-Turso" is a testament to his creative prowess. The single has been expertly brought to life by Saku Moilanen, who handled the production, recording, mixing, and mastering with finesse at DeepNoise Studios.

"Seems like with each concept album we make there is one story that is left behind and deserves a sequel to the theme. Our previous full length "King Of The North" was fully focused on Finnish Mythology and we did thorough job covering everything between creation of the nordic realm to the demigods of Finnish nature. But one truly primeval and malevolent creature, sea monster called Iku-Turso was left behind and now we are back to tell the story about a hunt of this beast that was also believed to be the god of war,” says Tuomas Saukkonen.

Finnish frontrunners WOLFHEART have proven themselves to be one of metal’s most captivating acts of northern heritage and one of the fastest rising bands in the international melodic death metal scene. Over the course of the last three years alone, the band has remained relentless with the release of their highly acclaimed full-length, Wolves of Karelia (2020) and Skull Soldiers EP (2021), gaining massive praise from fans and press alike with their icy tales of battle and triumph. The new album, King Of The North (out September 16, 2022 via Napalm Records), picked up right where WOLFHEART left off - taking every aspect of their trademark sound of colossal melodies, growling vocals and driving drum rhythms to searing new levels. Each song on King Of The North was dedicated to a different story of Finnish mythology - underlined by WOLFHEART’s grand, crushing songwriting and production. “Ancestor”, featuring none other than Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage fame, is the album’s top frostbitten anthem, unleashing WOLFHEART’s most crushing blast beats and cutting-edge vocal performances. “The King” marches on, telling the tale of the forest god with horns and pianos accompanying heavy guitar riffs and solos, before raising the energy levels once more on the relentless “Cold Flame” featuring Karl Sanders of legendary extreme metal group Nile. King Of The North is a true masterpiece of melodic death metal, crafted with loads of attention to detail and intricate mythology-driven storytelling - showcasing WOLFHEART at never before heard artistic levels!

One story from the colossal theme album King Of The North was left behind and 8th of September will tell the tale of the malevolent sea monster known by the name Iku-Turso. There is various descriptions about Iku-Turso from a god of war to a father of diseases and overall it is truly primeval creature in Finnish mythology and definitely deserver and epic and thundering track to tell its tale and that is what WOLFHEARTdelivers briefly prior to their 1st headline tour in Europe in November 2023

Ashley McBryde Delivers Highly Anticipated THE DEVIL I KNOW

With three nominations from the Country Music Association, including her fourth consecutive nod for Female Vocalist of the Year and third-for-three Album of the Year nominations, GRAMMY winner and Grand Ole Opry member Ashley McBryde releases The Devil I Know via Warner Music Nashville, featuring 11 tracks all cowritten by the Arkansas native. Listen to the album HERE.

“We can’t wait for you to dig into these songs that found a home on The Devil I Know,” shares McBryde. “Every decision that went into it had to pass a gut check, and I’m proud to say this entire record does just that. Thanks for coming along with us on this journey – we’re so glad you’re here.”

Named as one of the most highly anticipated albums by both
Los Angeles Times and Vulture, with the former calling her “one of Nashville’s most reliable and sophisticated songwriters,” The Devil I Know finds McBryde honing her calling card even further, as American Songwriter boasts, “Her lyrics can be heartrendingly tender one song, then unflinchingly biting the next.”

“More ruminative than crazed, the Saddle, Arkansas-born ragged rock/country songwriter delivers an exhale of acceptance that the chase is as much the reward as superstardom. Rather than raging against what’s not happening, she delivers a clear-eyed celebration of how alive being in the moment feels,” shares
HITS, as Garden & Gun notes, “The Devil I Know…could—and should—catapult her from being one of Music City’s favorite songwriters to its newest arena headliner. The album’s songs are infectious and assured.”

Lead single “Light On In The Kitchen” continues to climb the charts in the top 25 while earning a nomination for CMA Music Video of the Year. Directed by Reid Long and captured in a single take,
American Songwriter observes, “Ashley McBryde showcases her storytelling soul,” while Rolling Stone praises of the track, “it’s a delicate ballad that feels ready for radio and the Grand Ole Opry stage but comes with mountains of good advice,” landing on their all-genre “The Best Songs of 2023 So Far.”

Opening track “Made For This” contains “hard-edged truths about the brutality of the life of a touring musician,” shares
Billboard, and “Learned To Lie” earned a spot on Rolling Stone’s “The 20 Best Country Songs of 2023 So Far,” noting “McBryde tracks the lineage of an inveterate liar with clinical precision…her sneakily brilliant writing will floor you by song’s end.”

Recognized by
Vulture as one of “The Best Songs of 2023 (So Far),” title track “The Devil I Know” is “the latest reminder of how special a mainstream country star McBryde is,” and asserts “McBryde still hasn’t lost her edge, showing off the country-rock chops that, if this industry were fair, would lead her to play this song in arenas just like fellow mavericks Chris Stapleton and Eric Church.”

Written with Trick Savage and Lainey Wilson, “Cool Little Bars” is a “wonderful ode to the dirty little dives we love,” sums up
MusicRow, praising, “As if her singing and the songwriting weren’t brilliant enough, this has the most marvelous, crunchy, rocking-acoustic track on God’s green earth.”

With two wins and 15 career nominations from the Country Music Association, McBryde is also up for Album of the Year for Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, produced by John Osborne. A collaborative effort, the project features performances from Brothers Osborne, Brandy Clark, Aaron Raitiere, Pillbox Patti, Caylee Hammackand Benjy Davis and earned a title as one of the best albums of the year from
NPR (the only country album), Rolling Stone (all-genre and Country), Billboard (all-genre and Country), Variety and Stereogum, among many more.

McBryde is currently on the road with headlining and festival stops, including a date at the Grand Ole Opry on September 23 followed by Pilgrimage Festival in Franklin, Tenn. on September 24, before embarking on The Devil I Know Tour Presented by Ariat in October. CRYPTOPSY UNLEASH DEATH METAL BEHEMOTH, AS GOMORRAH BURNS, OUT NOW

The wait is over…Canadian extreme-metal legends CRYPTOPSY have unleashed their massively-anticipated, catastrophic new album, As Gomorrah Burns, today with Nuclear Blast Records. The tech-death masters’ 8th album, and first full-length in over a decade, arrives with a throat-punch of brutality as witnessed on singles like ‘Flayed The Swine’ and ‘In Abeyance.’

Now fully revealed, As Gomorrah Burns seethes with barbaric savagery over the course of 8 vicious songs. Pure, unrelenting death metal made with no constraints or contritions orchestrated around a concept pitting the Biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah against the modern-day Internet, both being origins invention and a cesspool of exploitation. The stories told on the record are based on real-life incidences—online stalkers, cults, misinformation, isolation, and intimidation—but ornamented deviously to enhance their potency.

Today, CRYPTOPSY has revealed a lyric video for their song ‘Godless Deceiver,’ which takes listeners on a horrific tale of severe violence.

Vocalist Matt McGachy says of the song:

“The lyrics of ‘Godless Deceiver’ are extremely vulgar and disgusting. As I was doing research for the album, I came across the story of Fabiane Maria de Jesus. A 33 year old woman from Guarujá, Brazil, which is a city outside of São Paulo.

She was brutally murdered by a mob of people that thought she was responsible of kidnappings in the area, following a Facebook post by a local news outlet. The newspaper reported that a woman had been seen abducting children, and many believed her motivation was witchcraft. A sketch of the woman the news outlet claimed was a child abductor was included with the alert, and resembled the victim. It turns out in the end that she was innocent. This group of vigilantes killed her for no reason whatsoever.  It really brings into light the importance of never trusting what you see, read or hear about on the internet.

I decided to write the lyrics from the mobs perspective, which is why they are simplistic. Brutal lyrics about an extremely violent act. The mob never questions if they are doing the right thing, they just acted in unison.

It is one of the nastiest song I have ever written.”

About CRYPTOPSY:

Death metal juggernaut Cryptopsy return to pummel our collective senses anew with their new album, As Gomorrah Burns. Their first for Nuclear Blast, the Montreal-based quartet—featuring founding member/drummer Flo Mounier, guitarist Christian Donaldson, vocalist Matt McGachy, and bassist Olivier “Oli” Pinard—advance their signature Northern power as they celebrate 30-plus years of extremity. The merciless blasts of ‘Lascivious Undivine’ and ‘Flayed the Swine’ offer Cryptopsy at their most intense and maniacal, while ‘In Abeyance’ and ‘The Righteous Lost’ groove savagely. As Gomorrah Burns underscores the animus of fan-favorite None So Vile (1996) and the meticulous technicality of And Then You’ll Beg (2000) with a strikingly sinister vibe.

Formed in 1992, Cryptopsy has released eight full-lengths—counting As Gomorrah Burns—to date. Out of the gate, the Quebecers set new standards in death metal with their no-compromise attack and next-level musicality. Debut album, Blasphemy Made Flesh, shell-shocked all that encountered it, as follow-ups None So Vile, Whisper Supremacy (1998), and Once Was Not (2005) positioned the Canadians as apex predators. Throughout their storied career, the group embarked on high-profile tours, such as the inaugural Death Across America tour in 1998, the Summer Slaughter Tour in 2008, and the Devastation on the Nation tour in 2017. To date, they’ve performed over 1,000 shows across 47 countries. The release of As Gomorrah Burns on Nuclear Blast re-positions Cryptopsy for yet another reign of death metal domination.

As Gomorrah Burns isn’t merely the follow-up to EPs The Book of Suffering - Tome I (2015) and The Book of Suffering - Tome II (2018). It’s another beast entirely. Crafted over two years during the pandemic, the initial sessions took place in a cabin in the forests of Quebec. McGachy calls the horror-like backdrop “surreal,” but, as with everything Cryptopsy, the songwriting process was expectedly arduous. Donaldson was the primary motivator behind As Gomorrah Burns. The guitarist and producer served as taskmaster and advocate, grinding out of his bandmates in McGachy, Mounier, and Pinard eight slabs of unadulterated barbarity. If Cryptopsy were formidable before As Gomorrah Burns, they’re absolutely monstrous now.

Conceptually, As Gomorrah Burns pits the Biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah against the modern-day Internet. McGachy’s idea was to show how it’s both the birthplace of invention and a cesspool of exploitation. The stories are based on real-life incidences—online stalkers, cults, misinformation, isolation, and intimidation—but ornamented deviously to enhance their potency. Cryptopsy commissioned Italian artist Paolo Girardi (Power Trip, Temple of Void) to complement the old-world lyrical themes. If Renaissance masters Hieronymus Bosch and El Greco were thrust into McGachy’s modern mind, the stunning cover of As Gomorrah Burns would be the outcome.

As with The Unspoken King (2008) and the self-titled (2012), Cryptopsy enlisted their bandmate Donaldson to helm the production, mixing, and mastering of As Gomorrah Burns. Dom Grimard, of Ion Dissonance fame, also came into the production fold. McGachy says the time in the studio took much longer than anticipated, but with Donaldson directing and everyone finally in the same room again post-pandemic, Cryptopsy were able to capture newfound vigor (and velocity) on As Gomorrah Burns. Tracks such as ‘Godless Deceiver,’ ‘Ill Ender,’ and ‘Praise the Filth’ demonstrate Donaldson’s death metal mastery.

Aggressive to a fault yet thoughtful in its entirety, As Gomorrah Burns—with songs such as ‘In Abeyance,’ ‘Flayed the Swine,’ and ‘Lascivious Undivine’—pierces mundanity thoroughly and relentlessly. This is no-quarters death metal, the kind our bellicose world needed and only Cryptopsy could deliver.

“We are back,” says McGachy. “I want our fans to know we’re more than a legacy band. Yes, we have had massive cult favorite albums—like None So Vile—but we are creating modern and relevant extreme music 30 years later. We’re so proud of As Gomorrah Burns, and we can’t wait for you to hear it!”

Naeon Teardrops - debut album 'Testimony' OUT NOW

N∆EON TE∆RDROPS is a new artist alias from Norwegian techno and electronica veteran Per Martinsen, mostly known under his Norwegian Grammy-awarded guise MENTAL OVERDRIVE.

Stepping out of his familiar instrumental electronic productions and into vocal-based songwriting, N∆EON TE∆RDROPS explore influences of the synthpop and darkwave of his formative years, while aiming to put these influences into a more contemporary context.

The music of N∆EON TE∆RDROPS was born out of his writing project PYRAMIDS ON THE MOON – a fictional autobiography in three parts where he explores three alternative timelines of his own life, and where each of his three imagined personalities create music under different artist aliases.

N∆EON TE∆RDROPS released the single AMNESIACS in 2021, reaching no 8 in the Deutsche Alternative Charts, followed by SHADOWSISTER in 2022, which reached no 12 in the same chart.

The latest two singles, WATERS RISING and OUTBOUND, released in March and May 2023, both entered the DAC chart and also stayed the maximum of 10 weeks in the Indie Disko Top 40 chart, peaking at no 20 and no 21 respectively.

The debut album TESTIMONY is now ready for release, and contains 10 tracks that catch up on the influences of thirty years of electronic music, flirting with alternative electropop, echoes of eighties darkwave, breakbeat-fuelled nineties power-ballads and noughties electronica – all brought to life with a 2023 twist.

TESTIMONY will be released through Love OD Communications on September 8th 2023, and will also be available on vinyl and CD through Apollon Records.

PYRAMIDS ON THE MOON is still an ongoing project. The most recent texts are exclusive to those supporting the project on Patreon, and the tale is also rolled out as an “NFT-story” on objkt.com, with text excerpts, AI-processed photographs and music from the three characters minted as NFT’s in limited numbers.

Contact Love OD Communications for bookings, interviews or additional artist info.

Press quotes on the single WATERS RISING:

“Per Martinsen’s otherworldly alter ego unveils sonic tapestries that resonate with the heart, transcending the boundaries of space and time, and bear witness to a dimension awash in emotion and introspection…” (
POSTPUNK.COM)

“Naeon Teardrops’ veteran creator, Per Martinsen, has clearly put a lot of effort into crafting a unique sonic landscape that is both captivating and somber. The song’s powerful and emotive nature make it an excellent choice for fans of dark wave and synth pop who want to explore the more melancholic side of the genre.”(ELECTROZOMBIES)

Press quotes on the debut single AMNESIACS:

“AMNESIACS by NΔEON TEΔRDROPS is already one #futurepop legend.”
(
WHITE LIGHT/WHITE HEAT)

“N∆EON TE∆RDROPS delivers in their debut. What they bring is a neat little darkwave and synthpop combo wrapped in depressing and cold, yet warming synthesizers.”

Wolves At the Gate Share Video for Cover of "Breaking the Habit"

LOST IN TRANSLATION COVERS ALBUM OUT SEPTEMBER 22 VIA SOLID STATE RECORDS

WOLVES AT THE GATE have shared the video for their cover of Linkin Park's "
Breaking the Habit." Watch it below

The song appears on Lost In Translation, a full covers album. Lost In Translation arrives on September 22 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it
here.

"There wasn’t much debate about covering a Linkin Park song because they all played a big role in our lives growing up," the band says. "The hard part was picking the right song that we could actually transform in a different way. The arrangement, sonic landscape, and lyrics of 'Breaking the Habit' ended up being something that connected with everybody unanimously. The genius of the original song is the utter simplicity of the components. The beat and dynamics of the song stay the same for almost the entire song, but at the same time still has so much movement.

"We tried to expand on that and add some more movement in the music to complement and accentuate the vocals. It was a bit of a debate to change the rhythmic elements of the song but doing things like breaking down the second verse became some of our favorite parts. The lyrics of the song were so easily relatable as we often feel the same need to express that type of frustration when faced with our own struggles. We hope our cover can express gratitude and love to Chester, his family, and the rest of LP."

ABOUT WATG:
Unrestricted by genre conventions and determined to raise the bar with each successive album, Wolves at the Gate deliver music and a message with a firm commitment to passion and authenticity. Tirelessly seeking out the light in seemingly overwhelming darkness, the Midwestern post-hardcore group balances soaring melodies with unrelenting metal and emotional heaviness. Eulogies arrives with confidence and forward motion born from reflection, introspection, and isolation.

The small-town Ohio-based five-piece band built the foundations for the album's 13 songs during the pandemic shutdown, shaping diverse tracks like "Shadows," "Peace That Starts The War," and "No Tomorrow" into stunning confessional epics. Wolves at the Gate's audience treasures each of the band's best-known songs for the emotional depth, passionate catharsis, and evocative power contained in them, as evidenced by the millions of streams for WATG anthems. These include "Counterfeit," "A Voice in the Violence," and "Drifter" (from 2019's Eclipse); "Asleep," "Flickering Flame," and "War in the Time of Peace" (from 2016's Types & Shadows); "Relief," and "The Bird and the Snake" (from 2014's VxV); "Dead Man," "The Harvest," and "Slaves" (from 2012's Captors), and "Heralds" (from 2011's We Are The Ones).

Manchester's Harry Stafford (Inca Babies) & North Carolina's Marco Butcher present 'We Are The Perilous Men' LP

"Unapologetically weaving their way through varied genres, Stafford and Butcher’s bluesy story-based music is raw around the edges, while sucking you willingly inside – a sonic diamond in the rough, so to speak" ~ The Spill Magazine

"The symmetry between the two artists is remarkable... refreshing, meshing the grit of blues with an urban thematic. This is dirty but agreeable... Goes down smooth like a good shot of bourbon" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Raucous and unapologetically gritty... a sonic experience that is both nostalgic and fresh... exudes a captivating rawness from the very beginning" ~ Skylight Magazine

Manchester underground music icon
Harry Stafford, perhaps best known as the frontman and founder of groundbreaking post-punk band Inca Babies, and US-based trash blues guitarist Marco Butcher present their new album 'We Are The Perilous Men', released via Black Lagoon Records.

Following the resounding triumph of their
'Bone Architecture' album in 2021, the duo present the second chapter of this exploration, upholding their lockdown-inspired tradition of sending ideas back and forth between North Carolina and Manchester. Creating this album unconsciously - perhaps even telepathically - their musical connection has ignited this album with an infectious energy and spirit.

"When we decided to release the album back in January, we had to decide on ten tracks (now eleven) out of a possible twenty. We agonised long and hard, but it was actually quite a satisfying endeavour because we were unaware just how many great tracks we had and that, if we kept this up, there must surely be another album in a couple of years, but that we’ll probably have to choose ten out of a possible forty tracks by then," says Harry Stafford.

"This was also a moment we both realised that we had had such a great time working together on these tracks, which had now effortlessly merged into the great album, so we spent at least an hour feeling very pleased with ourselves."

In the lead-up to the album, the duo released the diabolical and swampy post-punk single
'The Rules of the House' and the lead track 'Walk Among The Spectres', which explores our own fragile mortality, with a video filmed in the expansive Southern Cemetery in Didsbury South Manchester, dating back to 1700 and used throughout the Victorian era. Now a public park, people are invited to wander among the tombstones... to literally Walk among the Spectres.

'We Are The Perilous Men' LP / Bandcamp https://harrystafford.bandcamp.com/album/we-are-the-perilous-men

Based in North Carolina, Brazil-raised trash blues guitarist Marco Butcher (Jam Messengers, Jesus and the Groupies) provides a solid backbeat, jumping with a frenetic rhythm. This foundation ranges from a mess of blues to a stumbling electro beat with Dwayne Eddie funeral guitar. His forays into dance and Hiphop see him mess with the rhythmic DNA, often inspiring the creation of a new dance shuffle at will.

"I really like the fact the that we left behind all those rock music school rules and jumped into this new world of freedom and ideas, which could take us anywhere as long as we both are having a good time with it. So I guess I would say that the experimental part of it is my fave,” says Marco Butcher.

"I try to not overthink music as much as possible. For me, being able to play it and having fun with it is the paycheck already!"

As of September 8, 'We Are The Perilous Men' is available from fine music platforms, including
SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp. This album will be available on black vinyl, as well as digitally.

Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, rising star Midnight Danger brings an electrifying fusion of influences to the music scene. Conceived by producer and guitarist Chris Young in late 2015, this music endeavor draws inspiration mainly from synthwave music, '80s metal, and classic horror. Midnight Danger crafts a nostalgic soundtrack journey with pulsating synthesizers, driving rhythms, and a cinematic essence that instantly transports listeners back to the era of neon lights, arcade games, and VHS tapes. While evoking a sense of nostalgia for the 1980s, their tracks also add modern production techniques to create a unique fusion of old and new.

Setting the stage alight both musically and visually, Midnight Danger's live performances are an enthralling spectacle that marries their music to a synchronized light show engaging the audience in a theatrical like horror movie experience.

In January 2018, the debut album "Malignant Force" was released through NRW Records, instantly carving its mark on the synthwave landscape. The album rapidly soared in popularity, with vinyl and cassette editions selling out in a flash and accumulating a staggering 4,5 million streams on Spotify.

The release catapulted Midnight Danger in the synthwave/retrowave movement and resulted in numerous live performances over Europe and South America alongside some of the main artists on the genre, including also an unforgettable appearance at São Paulo's Horror Expo alongside revered metal acts like Therion and Deathstars.

The journey continued with a cascade of singles, collaborations, and contributions, such as being featured in the soundtrack of the documentary "In Search of Darkness," a comprehensive tribute to '80s horror. The sophomore album "Chapter 2: Endless Nightmare," unleashed in August 2020, made waves by capturing the essence of synthwave/darksynth reaching best-selling charts on both Bandcamp and iTunes. The album has currently over 1,3 million streams on Spotify. The tracks "Endless Nightmare" and "To the Shadows and Back" were elevated further through music videos that showcased the enigmatic Scary Dee on drums - an undead persona that takes center stage in Midnight Danger's live performances.

The saga continued with the release of "Nights at Lake Milsen" in November 2021, a groundbreaking work that saw collaboration with a legion of rock and metal icons spanning four generations. Guitarists Kane Roberts (Alice Cooper), Rafael Bittencourt (Angra), Martin Sweet (Crashdïet) and Sonia Anubis (ex-Crypta), singer Danny Rexon (Crazy Lixx), and Australian saxophonist Max Cruise, lent their virtuosity to this remarkable endeavor. The original graphic novel titled “Chapter 1: The Malignant Force” is included in the vinyl edition of the album, showing the background story that connects all of Midnight Danger’s albums.

With three full-length albums, numerous singles, and a trail of sold-out physical albums, Midnight Danger's music has resonated worldwide, garnering millions of plays and streams. Also renowned for captivating live performances, in 2022 Midnight Danger returned to the stage following a three-year hiatus, reaffirming their commitment to thrilling the fans and continuing to illuminate the synthwave landscape.

Now, marking a significant milestone, Midnight Danger makes their debut in the United States, showcasing a setlist that features songs that trace their entire career.

HourHouse Drop "BODYBAG MUSIK" (Feat. Shaolin G ) Video

NEW BANGER FEATURING A CAMEO FROM SHAOLIN G OF UNITYTX

Storming straight outta the Bayou, New Orleans-based quintet HourHouse are proudly rap metal. HourHouse, who announce their signing to UNFD earlier this summer, have concocted a fully loaded, riff 'n' rhyme proposition, splitting at the seams with dirty grooves, heavy riffage, and thumping beats.

Their music oozes confidence and swagger — with influences varied and diverse, ranging from $uicideboi$ to Meshuggah, Kendrick to Korn.

Want proof?

Oh, we've got proof.

Watch the video for the frenetic, teeth-rattling new single "BODYBAG MUSIK," featuring a raucous guest verse from UnityTX's Shaolin G,
below.

Set your speakers to stun and find yourself breathless amid all this glorious musical chaos, where guitars, grooves, beats, and flow collide in feral kinesis.

"'BODYBAG MUSIK' is exactly what the title says it is," says vocalist Milly, referring to the song and its relationship the band's hometown. "This is the soundtrack to the boot. It's way more than just Mardi Gras and voodoo. It's a real warzone out here no matter what walk of life you come from, and we wanted to let the listener into what our corner of the south is like on a daily basis. Shaolin is someone I feel needed to be on the song, because his band UnityTX is another group bringing REAL rap to metal — not just using it for clickbait."

Shaolin G weighs in, saying, "'BODYBAG MUSIK' is a sick song...when I first heard it, I got that instant head nod from how groovy the intro riff was.
Milly and the HH gang really did some shit with this track, and I'm stoked to see more of this kinda music touching places it couldn't before. The music video shoot was real casual I didn't feel out of place or anything like that. Just rockin' out, burnin' trees, and making history with the guys."

Legendary Rock Band Tesla Premieres "S.O.S. (TOO BAD)" Music Video !

Legendary rock band TESLA will premiere the official music video for "S.O.S. (TOO BAD)" tonight on their YouTube Channel at 6pm ET / 3pm PT. The song is a bonus track from their FULL THROTTLE LIVE album that released on May 26, 2023. The album was recorded live at Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis.

Watch the video below.

"SOS (TOO BAD)" is an old Aerosmith song that TESLA loves. The 1970s era of Aerosmith plays a huge musical influence on TESLA. Jeff Keith and Frank Hannonlist Aerosmith’s “Live Bootleg” as one of their favorite albums of all time. “As a young guitarist in 1978, I studied Aerosmith’s “Live Bootleg!” album, learning all the raw guitar licks they played live. When it came time to pick a song to top off TESLA’s new live album.. we chose a classic riff rocker from that legendary live album to pay tribute to AEROSMITH and the raw realness of such a great guitar riff!” says Frank Hannon.

That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid-80s, but their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic, 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like The Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Aerosmith.

The ground started shaking in Sacramento, CA, in 1984; gold country that would soon be producing some platinum. They started out as City Kidd, until a suggested name change to TESLA, honoring the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla who pioneered all things electrical. Their 1986 platinum debut album, Mechanical Resonance, included Top 40 hits “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi.” 1989’s double-platinum The Great Radio Controversy included hits “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song”. Suddenly, TESLA, who had been touring with bands such as Def Leppard and David Lee Roth, earned headlining status. In 1990, TESLA helped reshape the face of modern rock music by stripping down to the Five Man Acoustical Jam, an informal collection of their biggest hits peppered with rock and roll classics by the Beatles, Stones, and others. This album produced their biggest hit single to date, a cover of Five Man Electrical Band’s “Signs.” Other 90s albums from TESLA include platinum selling Psychotic Supper and Bust a Nut. The band continues to record and release material including 9 new albums since 2000.

TESLA’s legacy is alive and well as they continue to record and sellout venues all over the world. As comfortable, rugged, and dependable as your favorite pair of boots, they endure. TESLA is a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.

HELGA Sign to Season of Mist

Season of Mist is proud to welcome HELGA!

Hailing from both the Swedish hinterlands of Dalarna and the old Viking county of North Yorkshire, HELGA draw on many different influences: Swedish folk, progressive metal, post-rock, pop, black metal.

United by vocalist Helga Gabriel, the band spin their unique genre alchemy into dark manifestations. Their debut album, 'Wrapped in Mist', summons formidable drumming, spectral strings and chugging riffs into lamentations on mortality and mental health.

"A few years ago, I sent a demo to Season of Mist but to no avail", says Helga. "Years later, I received an e-mail from Michael Berberian expressing that the label wished to work with me - I felt elated! My band and I are beyond thrilled to plunge into this new adventure with Season of Mist".

Another announcement about 'Wrapped in Mist' is coming soon!

Hailing from the Swedish hinterlands of Dalarna and
Halifax, West Yorkshire, HELGA amalgamated in 2019 in
York, North Yorkshire. United by singer, Helga Gabriel, the
quintet delve into a musical alchemy on their pursuit of
darker manifestations.

“We draw on many different influences from Swedish folk
to progressive metal to post-rock to black metal to pop.
Distilling this into a single style is a challenge.” -Cai S.

Summoning this plethora of layers and genre, HELGA
culminate their premier album Wrapped in Mist into
dirgeful lamentations of mortality and mental health,
punctuated by formidable drumming, spectral strings and
chugging riffs.

The album’s opening track, Skogen mumlar (The Forest
Murmurs), transcends forthwith into emotive dreamscapes
that leave hairs trembling, Ennio Morricone echoing as the
intro’s muse.

But as the journey through Wrapped in
Mist transpires, songs such as Farväl (Farewell) reveal
HELGA’s black metal and darker sensibilities. Bewitching
through this myriad range, the album’s waltzing coda flirts
with a melodic baroque that crescendos with Opeth-esque
climax.

The inception of Wrapped in Mist promises to plunge
HELGA deep into the spotlight of mesmerising live
performances following release. From the hills and forests
of rural dwelling, this is a band destined for a journey worth
following.

Robben Ford Announces New Live Album "Night In The City" + Share New Single & Video For "Anto'Nate'n'Tate" — WATCH

"If a live recording really represents the best of you – that's a real, and even rare success." — Robben Ford

Robben Ford is, without doubt, one of the most exquisite blues guitarists of all-time, with a resume of collaborations reading like a veritable "who's who" of musical greats. It is for this very reason he can call upon some of the finest musicians out there to create a band that serves the music so well. That's why every album release is greeted with such excitement. Each listen is a musical journey undertaken to discover the wonders of his latest opus.

As a live performer, he is revered, pouring heart and soul into every note that travels from stage to audience. On his latest release Night In The City, this master of his craft is presented like never before. Recorded at City Winery, Nashville in 2021, it was Ford's first performance after the COVID lockdown — something which only added to the excitement and expectation from both band and crowd. As Ford stated, "It had been so long since playing a significant, live show that expectations were very much heightened. There was an edge that kept us all on our toes and the audience was hungry for a good time. They were very supportive, which was great, because we needed that."

The superlative musicianship throughout is a joy to behold and something Ford in his role as bandleader was able to reflect on, saying, "The fact that I had such a great band is what made the evening for me. Each musician was the perfect man for the job and that helps a band leader relax. All the guys are top, in-demand players."

With a set list that covers material old and new, an exceptional evening was captured to be enjoyed by all. You can already dive into it, as the previously unreleased track "Anto'Nate'n'Tate" is available everywhere as you read these lines.

San Francisco's E.G. Phillips shares ‘I Am The One Who Ghosts’ featuring Barcelona songstress Mar Vilaseca

"A sultry and soothing jazzy offering, this goes down so smoothly. While addressing a real social media phenomenon that is rampant in our society (BTW, the lyrics are great), one cannot help but slip into some kind of regal period jazz fantasyland when listening to this" ~ The Spill Magazine

"A fabulous heartfelt confessional... A purveyor of the urban blues, Phillips offers an enthralling proposition in this beautifully wrought song" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"A romancing of the senses with its noir lit contemplation and that almost boozy air to its fiery breath... a soulful engagement as off kilter and unique as it is warmly beguiling and emotively comforting" ~ Ringmaster Review
'
"E.G. Phillips channels dark singer-songwriters… Like a distant cousin of his forbearers Nick Cave, Tom Waits, and Leonard Cohen... It's always satisfying to discover something with such an old wise soul." ~ Real Gone

San Francisco-based artist
E.G. Phillips presents a sultry yet pensive offering in his new single ‘I Am The One Who Ghosts’ featuring Spanish artist Mar Vilaseca on vocals. This is the third taste of Phillips’ forthcoming 'Outlaw The Dead' EP, produced by Chris McGrew and mixed with the assistance of Billboard-charting producer Jaimeson Durr (Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Hope Sandoval).

Recorded in Studio C of Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco (AKA
Wally’s HydeOut) at the former Wally Heider Studios, this is the same space where such legendary artists as Herbie Hancock, Santana, Grateful Dead, Green Day and Dead Kennedys recorded some of their most legendary releases.

"When I started writing this one, I had in mind Walter White's infamous declaration "I am the one who knocks" in Breaking Bad. I thought this was an interesting, assertive approach from which to talk about the pattern of behavior we've come to describe as "ghosting". It seems like something people are more likely to accuse others of doing or be flippant about when they do it themselves. Along the way, the song became more confessional and, as is my want, cynical," explains E.G. Phillips.

The atmospheric instrumentation was born of that alchemy that develops between veteran musicians who have performed together many times and have created many records together, as is the case with Kevin Seal, Chris McGrew, and Christopher Fortier — who have been playing together in various bands since the mid 90s, including progressive punk band Griddle and psych rock outfit Seal Party. Fortier, in particular, is a tour-de-force here, providing some spectral David Glimor-esque riffs.

The vocals are by Barcelona native Mar Vilaseca, who's producer Chris McGrew first heard her when she was performing at the Black Cat jazz club in San Francisco. He thought she would be a good match for this track, which he felt needed some "sang'n" to complement its sparse sonic landscape and rightly so.

'I Am The One Who Ghosts' follows up the lead track '
It Ain't Good to Be in Love With You', a jazzy affair that showcases the Tom Waits meets Nick Cave-esque facets of his confessional songwriting, and latest single 'A Bridge Too Far (MacArthur Station)' featuring Grace Renaud on vocals.

A tech refugee originally from the Midwest, Phillips ultimately found greener grass on the West coast. Originally from Chicago suburbs, but having also lived in East Central Illinois and Minnesota, his musical journeys have grown more adventurous since relocating to the Bay Area at the turn of the century, especially since venturing out on the open mic scene in San Francisco -- finding a musical home of sorts at Bazaar Cafe.

With the steadfast backing of his band
Ducks With Pants, Phillips blends lyric-driven compositions with his own special blend of whimsy and cinematic imagery, offering a wry take in dealing with the longings of the heart and the madness of existence.

Vocalist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Mar Vilaseca was born in 1998, in Barcelona, Spain. Mar grew up in a musical environment and learned how to play and sing at a very young age. She was classically trained in piano and traditional harmony at the Conservatorio del Liceo. At 14, she started singing professionally in her father’s band, where she began her career in jazz and modern music. Mar moved to New York to study her Master of Music in Jazz Studies at The Juilliard School, with Professors Wynton Marsalis, Carla Cook, Elio Villafranca, Kenny Washington, and Donald Vega among others, graduating in 2022 with the Juilliard Career Advancement Fellowship Award.

As of September 6, 'I Am The One Who Ghosts' is available across fine music platforms, including
SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp, where Phillips' back catalogue can also be explored. On November 2, Phillips will perform at The Utah Saloon in San Francisco to celebrate this release and, prior to that, at The Waypost in Portland on September 15.
