Ian Munsick Announces Sophomore Album "White Buffalo" Arriving April 7

DUE APRIL 7 ON WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE

Pre-Release Track “River Run” out TODAY

Tickets for Long Live Cowgirls 2023 Tour On Sale Now

Three years after introducing his mountain-high voice and canyon-deep lyrics with his critically acclaimed debut, Coyote Cry, Wyoming native Ian Munsick has completed an 18-track ode to the American West: his sophomore album White Buffalo is due April 7 on Warner Music Nashville. Munsick shares production credits across the project with collaborators including Jared Conrad, Jeremy Spillman and more. Pre-order White Buffalo HERE.

“A lot can happen in three years. In fact, I’ve had more change in my life in the last three years than the 26 years leading up to them,” Munsick shares. “I’ve become a father and a husband. I’ve become a better songwriter, entertainer and have finished working on my second album! Damn does it feel good to finally say that. White Buffalo will take you on a journey through the last three years of my life. Songs about love, loss, fatherhood, nostalgia, cowgirls and cow shit with, of course, plenty of fiddle. I could not be prouder of this record or more excited for you to hear it. It’s been three years in the making, but I promise you it’s been worth the wait.”

White Buffalo has already yielded the loping “Horses & Weed,” faith-driven love song “More Than Me” and standout duet “Long Live Cowgirls” with two-time CMA Award winner Cody Johnson. With more than 70 million global streams, “Long Live Cowgirls” has topped SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown and spawned a 2023 tour of the same name. Munsick continues to welcome fans into the White Buffalo fold with the release of his newest track, “River Run” (listen HERE).

“Love and landscape… that’s what inspires me most as a songwriter, artist and producer,” Munsick says of the track he penned alongside Jeremy Spillman and Ryan Beaver. “Whenever I need inspiration, I just close my eyes and let the memory of the place I love most take me downstream. For this song, that place was the Tongue River. I remember fishing, swimming and rolling down the mountain cold waters in the heat of rodeo season… some of my fondest memories. I hope ‘River Run’ rolls you right back to wherever that place is for you.”

People magazine has declared, “In a world craving the chance again to be amongst beautiful landscapes and open air, there is the fresh music of Ian Munsick.” Over the past three years, Munsick has accumulated more than 375 million global streams on his stampeding, spirited portraits of the American West. Recalling cottonwoods and sagebrush, fan favorite track “Long Haul” twice charted on Spotify’s U.S. Viral 50 and earned him an iHeartRadio Rocky Mountain Country Music Award for Song of the Year. Celebrated for a sound and stories that conjure “equal parts epic adventure and down-to-earth wisdom” (American Songwriter), Munsick has earned accolades from CMT (2023 “Listen Up Artist”), Country Now (2023 “Country Next: Artists to Watch”) Spotify (2022 “Hot Country Artist to Watch”), MusicRow magazine (2022 “Next Big Thing”) and more.

The noted entertainer and multi-instrumentalist will hit the road for his headlining Long Live Cowgirls 2023 Tour starting on Jan. 20 with a sold out show at the legendary Gruene Hall. Tickets for the run, which features up-and-coming singer / songwriter Ashland Craft, are available HERE.

Chicago's dark emissaries THE BELLWETHER SYNDICATE offer an enthralling journey on 'Beacons' single

"Goth Rock Tornado... hair-raising speed, riff-racing insanity and badass drum/bass force... William Faith‘s edged Goth-infused vocals rumble all over this super-duper sucker-punch steamroller" ~ Turn Up The Volume

"Anything but conventional when it comes to rock music... the band is one of the most unique dissonant sounds in the scene" ~ Outburn Magazine

“Amazing, stunning... Post-punk on a not-very-discreet death rock orientation” ~ The Noise Journal

“The time seems right for a new wave of post-punk to be ushered in. But I suspect that is already underway, and The Bellwether Syndicate is leading the charge” ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"A glittery piece of glamorous darkness...with William Faith’s crooning vocals and Sarah Rose smoothly cascading guitars” ~ Post-Punk.com

Chicago-based alternative post-punk outfit The Bellwether Syndicate ring in this new dark year with the release of 'Beacons'. Debuting at #4 in the DAC/German Alternative Charts, this is the second single from their 'Vestige & Vigil' album, slated for spring release via Nexilis Records /  Schubert Music Europe and Sett Records in North America.

The Bellwether Syndicate is made up of William Faith (vox, guitars), Sarah Rose Faith (vox, guitars), Philly Peroxide (keyboards, percussion), Stevyn Grey (drums) and Corey Gorey (guitars). Formerly of seminal goth acts Christian Death, Mephisto Walz and Shadow Project and co-founder of Faith & The Muse, William Faith moved from his native Los Angeles to Chicago in 2010, forming The Bellwether Syndicate with his wife, Sarah Rose Faith a.k.a. Scary Lady Sarah, one of the scene’s most eminent DJs and club promoters and host of Nocturna, the longest-running goth event in North America.

'Beacons' exerts its nautical feel in both tone and verse, with the ‘set adrift’ narrative supported by liquid, chorused guitars and distress-signal bass and synth, before the whole thing kicks into a full steam ahead chorus, with chiming, glorious guitars chasing the pulsing beat and soaring vocal all the way home.

"'Beacons' is simply a love song to our family: our people — our fans. We’d be truly lost at sea without them, and every time we get ready to play a live gig, they really are the beacons that guide us home, to that moment where we’re together in a safe harbor and everything is possible. That moment is everything to us, and it’s what we live for," says William Faith.

Earlier, the band released the lead track 'Dystopian Mirror', which reached #11 in the German Alternative Charts (DAC). This glam-noir single wields a relentless assault of hard-edged guitars, buzzsaw synths and tribal beats set the stage for a guided tour through the realm of the unwell, spat out with sardonic conviction by the voices in your head.

Six years in the making, the 'Vestige & Vigil' LP was produced by William Faith, whose credits include Jarboe, Clan of Xymox, Bootblacks and Autumn, and Chad Blinman (Face To Face, Faith and The Muse, Jarboe). Recorded by William Faith at 13 Studio in Chicago, it was mixed by Blinman at The Eye Socket. This album comes 9 years after debuting with 'The Night Watch' EP and four years since their latest single, 'Republik'.

'Beacons' is out now, available from all fine digital outlets, including Apple MusicSpotify and Bandcamp, where 'Dystopian Mirror' can also be found. The full 'Vestige & Vigil' album will be released in April 2023.

Pierce The Veil Share Visualizer for New Single "Even When I'm Not With You"

NEW ALBUM THE JAWS OF LIFE OUT FEBRUARY 10 VIA FEARLESS RECORDS

Platinum-selling powerhouse Pierce The Veil — guitarist/vocalist Vic Fuentes, guitarist Tony Perry, and bassist Jaime Preciado — will release their new album The Jaws of Life on February 10, 2023 via longtime label Fearless Records. Pre-order it here.

Today, the band has shared the visualizer for the latest single "Even When I'm Not With You." Watch it below.

The track follows the explosive, one-two punch of the September 2022-released comeback single "Pass the Nirvana" and its successor "Emergency Contact," which have tallied over 20 million combined streams! Anticipation for the album release is burning at a fevered pitch, while Huffington Post, Gawker, and MTV all recently spotlighted PTV's continued domination of their genre.

Fuentes offered a deep insight into "Even When I'm Not With You," saying, "Musically, it's the first song we've ever created that utilizes the same looping riff throughout nearly the entire song," Fuentes explains. "This was something that I have been trying to accomplish for years with our band and I'm excited that we finally found a way to do it with this one."

Regarding the lyrical scope of the track, Fuentes states, "This song was inspired by a text my manager sent me while I was going through a rough time. I thanked her for being there for me, and she said, 'Even when I'm not with you, I'm still with you.' That phrase touched my heart and inspired me to write a love song dedicated to my wife about no matter how far away I am on tour, I'm still devoted to her, and we will always be connected through our love."

As for The Jaws of Life as a whole, Fuentes says, "This album has truly brought us closer than we've ever been. It was extremely difficult for us to be off the road and apart for so long. We've never missed anything more than playing music together and never had such a strong appreciation for recording, touring, and simply being in the same room together than we do now. The Jaws of Life is about how life can sink its teeth into you and try to devour you. The negativity in the world and within your mind can be a vicious thing. We're extremely grateful for this record, our fans, and the opportunity to play live music again."

Pierce The Veil have become iconic in their genre — and rightfully so. Their return has been fiercely welcomed, receiving press praise fromPaper, Gawker, MTV, Ones to Watch, Yahoo, and more. Meanwhile, the first single "Pass the Nirvana" racked up over 13 million streams since its September bow.

They've also debuted atop Billboard’s Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums, and Hard Rock Albums charts twice – first with Collide With the Sky (2012) and its follow-up, Misadventures (2016). A decade after its release, thealreadyplatinum "King for a Day" shot to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Streaming chart, driven by the viral #KingForADay hashtag on TikTok. Even with two gold singles and a gold album, this coming year could be their biggest yet.

Because this is the year of The Jaws of Life.

The band Rolling Stone once described as "hyperactive, progressive post-hardcore," returns with album number five, full of fuzzy guitars, massive melodic hooks, and PTV's distinct emotional heart. The Jaws of Life is Pierce The Veil at their most raw —crackling with urgency and immediacy. Never predictable, always engaging, Pierce The Veil continue to soar on the strength of highly potent energy, rich musicality, and a scrappy sense of authentic exuberant ambition that's frankly unrivaled. Fuentes, Perry, and Preciado put volatile, angsty, confessional emotions into the music, which is why their songs resonant with so many. "No matter where the band performs, fans will show up," wrote Loudwire. "When you see Pierce The Veil live, you'll understand why."

PTV's evolution from album to album is nothing less than stunning. The early buzz generated by A Flair for the Dramatic (2007) made its follow-up one of the most anticipated albums of 2010. Selfish Machines shot to No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. The Chicago Tribune saluted Collide with the Sky for its "post-hardcore punk with more than a few nods to Queen." They became a true arena act on Misadventures, selling out huge venues without losing the intimate connection with their fans.

The Jaws of Life was produced by Paul Meany (Twenty One Pilots, Mutemath, The Blue Stones), and mixed by Adam Hawkins (Machine Gun Kelly, Turnstile, Twenty One Pilots). Deadly serious subject matter abounds, but Pierce The Veil enduringly navigates it all with grace. The lyrics continue the Fuentes tradition of painstaking honesty and clever twists of phrase. Pierce The Veil perform at the biggest festivals and is counted among the biggest and brightest of a younger generation of bands. But it all starts with the songs. The Jaws of Life is filled with the kind to keep the PTV fire burning forever.

Brooklyn post-punk duo A CLOUD OF RAVENS reveal the 'Nature of Artifice', second taste of new LP

“Their sound, though inspired by bands of their youth, is not rooted stubbornly in the past - their music feels of this time, with their messages transversing the cosmos” ~ Post-Punk.com

“A Cloud of Ravens impress not only for the dark poetry, which forms and develops in the band’s lyrics and expands in their alluring titles, but the duo also rivet through their gritty and immediate sonic scheme, which feels pitch dark and hard as nails”Destroy // Exist

"A perfect blend of an homage to the past and the modern construction of the future. A heroic journey through a desolate land" ~ Sounds and Shadows

“They play cold wave, they play post-punk, they are Gothics, and they set to music some of the most striking lyrics you can find out there” ~ White Light // White Heat

NYC-based post-punk / alternative rock duo A Cloud of Ravens have released their new single 'Nature of Artifice', the second taste of their third full-length album 'Lost Hymns', following lead track 'The Blackest Mantra'.

A Cloud of Ravens emerged in Brooklyn, formed in 2018 by Matthew McIntosh(guitar and vocals) and Beth Narducci (bass guitar). Growing up in a family of avid music lovers and her mother being a professional opera single, McIntosh arrived at this genre of music after ample explorations in the punk, death rock and hardcore scenes, finally forging the duo's trademark sound with Narducci, whose background is more connected with alternative rock and industrial music.

Recorded from spring to autumn 2021 and mastered by ACTORS' Jason Corbett at Jacknife Sound studio in Vancouver, the 'Lost Hymns' LP will be released in early 2023 via Berlin-based Nexilis Records, a a division of  Schubert Music Europe.

"The song 'Nature of Artifice' is about choosing to bury your head in the sand, rather than confronting glaring societal ills and moral injustices. It’s easier to get lost in the minutia of our click and swipe modern world than watch its blessings crumble around us. To some extent, none of us are blameless," says Matthew McIntosh.

At the outset, A Cloud of Ravens hit the ground running with a string of self-released offerings, making their mark in the burgeoning contemporary dark music scene and garnering attention that would result in a one-off release date for their 2021 album 'Another Kind of Midnight', a mournful yet triumphant collection exploring the heart of a world amidst a devastating pandemic and torn by moral tribalism.

Effectively merging classic and contemporary post-punk and darkwave sensibilities, their somewhat poetic use of prose and metaphor expressed the trials and joys of the world in which we now find ourselves. A Cloud of Ravens' subsequent remix-based EP featured contributions by legendary producer John Fryer and such prominent artists as Clan of Xymox, ACTORS, Chris Vrenna and Ritual Howls.

'Nature of Artifice' is out now, available across digital outlets, including Apple MusicSpotify, Amazon and Bandcamp. The full 'Lost Hymns' album will be released in April 2023. Fans can also look forward to North American tour dates with Clan of Xymox and Curse Mackey in mid-2023.

The Pull of Autumn and Luke 'Skyscraper' James of I.R.S. innovators FASHION team up on 'Funhouse' single.

"A gem... A genuine and welcome earworm" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Solid and innovative. Simultaneously upbeat and trippy, it has a very high feel-good vibe" ~ The Record Stache

"Better to travel well than to arrive... this band is not about merely travelling, this is exploration down the unbeaten paths of the glorious unknown" ~ The Swindonian

"Beautiful... Pure and simple. Lyrically emotional and thought-provoking. It has perfect instrumentation and musicality" ~ Spill Magazine

Art rock collective The Pull of Autumn have teamed up with Luke 'Skyscraper' James of I.R.S. recording artist FASHION on 'Funhouse', the latest offering from the collective's fourth album 'Beautiful Broken World', an ambitious 15-track undertaking that began in early 2020. James is a key player in The Pull of Autumn, having contributed to every album released to date.

Earlier, the band released 'Outlaw Empire' featuring The Pop Group legend Mark Stewart and bassist Doug Wimbish (Living Colour, Tackhead, The Rolling Stones, Sugarhill Gang), which was remixed by legendary producer Adrian Sherwood. That was followed by 'Live Today' with Tokyo dreamgazers Once Grace Forever.

This record involves a number of iconic artists, including Philip Parfitt of The Perfect Disaster, Stuart Moxham of Rough Trade postpunk band Young Marble Giants and John Neff, who has contributed to multiple David Lynch films and is also a member of David Lynch’s Blubob.

The Pull of Autumn is a ‘super group’ of sorts, with songs orbiting around Rhode Island artist Daniel Darrow of Johanna’s House of Glamour and involving numerous emerging and notable musicians from the local music scene and further abroad. The band's debut 2018 eponymous album was followed by 'Afterglow' in 2019 and 'Small Colors' in 2020.

"This song is about how people in rural communities used to have to wait a year for the circus/ carnival to come to town. Then it would be gone. As opposed to the oceans of distraction and "entertainment" that the human race currently wallows around in," says Luke 'Skyscraper' James.

Daniel Darrow adds, "For 'Funhouse', I wanted to add an inner-ear sound that would give the track an otherworldly sound. Luke is a fabulous writer and easily grasps many different sounds in sound design. We’ve been friends since 2018 and I’m glad we have a wonderful friendship as well as shared interest in all types of music."

'Beautiful Broken World' is out now, available across online stores and streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, as well as Bandcamp, where it can be obtained directly from the artist.

Death Ray Vision (Feat. KsE bassist Mike D) Sign to Metal Blade Records + New Album Out In 2023!

DEATH RAY VISION SIGN TO METAL BLADE RECORDS

BAND FEATURES KILLSWITCH ENGAGE BASSIST MIKE D'ANTONIO AND INTRODUCES NEW VOCALIST

NEW ALBUM NO MERCY FROM ELECTRIC EYES OUT LATER THIS YEAR

Birthed at the juncture where hardcore and punk meet metal, DEATH RAY VISION are proud to announce they have found a home. They have signed with Metal Blade Records for their forthcoming third album, No Mercy From Electric Eyes, due out in summer of this year. More details on the album are coming soon.

The band has shared the following teaser, which includes a snippet of a new song. Watch and listen below.

"I could not be more excited about Death Ray Vision joining the Metal Blade family," says bassist Mike D'Antonio. "The new record is a banger, and I can't think of a better record label to release it to the world!"

Metal Blade founder Brian Slagel concurs, "Super excited to welcome Death Ray Vision to the Metal Blade family! We love working with Mike D and look forward to this one!"

Commencing writing in late 2018 following a tour with Killswitch Engage — who share bassist D'Antonio with DRV — the band had a lot of creative momentum still burning following that year's Negative Mental Attitude and kept it rolling.  The results will demonstrate that they are playing at the top of their game.  "We're a lot more cohesive as a band after playing together for so many years, and we've gotten better at songwriting and collaborating to bring out the best in everyone’s ideas," says guitarist Pete Cortese.

A further new dimension affecting the sound is the addition of vocalist Keith Bennett to the band's ranks, who the existing members knew would be the perfect fit from his time with notable acts Wrecking Crew, Panzerbastard (both of whom shared the stage with Cortese and D'Antonio's other band Overcast), and Ramallah. "Keith brings a whole lot of piss and vinegar, with a side of street cred. He brought a new sense of enthusiasm and excitement and got us even more fired up to make a great record," says Cortese. Guitarist Chris Rosati adds, "Creatively speaking, Keith is a force of nature. His ability to get inside a new song and quickly come up with vocals and lyrics is really something to witness."

Expect great things from DEATH RAY VISION in 2023!

DEATH RAY VISION ARE:
Keith Bennett — Vocals
Chris Rosati — Guitar/vocals
Pete Cortese — Guitar
Mike D'Antonio — Bass
Colin Conway — Drums

OAK Shares Music Video for New Song, "Disintegrate II"

Portuguese death doom duo OAK is now presenting a blistering new music video for "Disintegrate II," which is the second single from their upcoming full-length, 'Disintegrate.' 'Disintegrate II' is an extraction taken from the full album, which in true doom metal form, consists of one devastating 45-minute long song. The clip can be found at THIS LOCATION.

The band's choice to incorporate fire and ash into their video is to represent one of the earth's most devastating and cleansing elements, contrasting their choice of snow used in the clip for "Disintegrate I." ICYMI: The clip can be found below.

OAK comments: "A circle of fire surrounds a pillar of blood that dissipates into the air. The red ashes float lightly and scatter the soul across the flames. This excerpt "Disintegrate II" explores the darkest emotions in a violent, earth-shattering approach."

Pre-sales for 'Disintegrate are now live HERE while the album can be pre-saved on streaming services HERE.

With the birth of their first full-length album ‘Lone’ in 2019, atmospheric death doom duo OAK emerged from Portugal with a slow and steady force, like roots breaking concrete. After four years of slumber, the band has awakened like the old gods, ready to release utter suffering and devastation onto the masses with its sophomore effort, ‘Disintegrate.’ For nearly 45 unforgiving minutes, this mournful maelstrom drags the listener asunder, while tormented growls and agonizing riffs echo deep despair within the atmospheric abyss.

OAK’s path was forged by two kindred musicians; the mysterious pair recognized that they were an unstoppable force together when it came to creating painful, emotionally driven music. “We always wanted it to be a duo because of how fluid our jams have always been and this freedom we get when writing for OAK is really one thing that drives us,” explains the band.

The writing process took place under the cover of darkness, setting an intimate mood for the record’s creation. The pair worked with a totally clean slate, writing everything organically in their sessions together rather than coming with prepared compositions or ideas. As project took shape and began to come into its own identity, it yielded OAK’s agonizing and ferocious sound.  “We can have clean guitars, clean vocals, distortion, deep grunts, whispers, slow beats, blast beats, ghost notes and all this glues together nicely,” says OAK of the project’s many textures and layers.

Thematically, ‘Disintegrate’ tells the epic tale of a Titanic Giant who seeks to be unburdened from carrying the weight of the world, demonstrating that even the strongest have a threshold for just how much pain and heaviness they can endure.

However, the story doesn’t end here as this is only the first chapter of the Giant’s tale. “We are continuing our jam sessions and writing more and more. We will grow further with each release in the attempt of making our sound almost visible/cinematic. We need to tell the story of this giant's burden and liberation through our music and lyrics. We feel like there is much more to be told.“

ENTER SHIKARI Announce New Album; 'A Kiss For The Whole World". Drop New Single "(pls) set me on fire"

Enter Shikari have also announced a run of very special album release shows across UK, Europe and the US today. General on-sale for remaining tickets will begin on Thursday, January 26th.

For full dates, info and tickets head to www.entershikari.com

Enter Shikari are today announcing that their highly anticipated new album, A Kiss For The Whole World, will be released on 21st April via SO Recordings / Ambush Reality. The band are also sharing the album’s lead single ‘(pls) set me on fire’ as well as news of some very special monthly residency shows in the UK this Spring. Listen to ‘(pls) set me on fire’ below and pre-order A Kiss For The Whole World here

Limited formats of the new album come packaged with the Live From Alexandra Palace 3 album & DVD, recorded live in December 2021 at the band’s sold out 10,000 capacity London show.

As the calendar now signals three years since Enter Shikari last released an album - their UK #2 charting album Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible – it is useful to think back to the final question the band last posed fans: “Is this a new beginning? / Or are we close to the end?” Little could they know just how close to the end things would end up feeling as the events of the early ‘20s dimmed the light in the furnace of their live juggernaut, and connection to their fans. “At the time it felt like we ourselves, as musicians, were experiencing the death of our band,” says lead vocalist and keyboardist Rou Reynolds.

Unsurprisingly, the key in the band’s ignition came in the form of a live show as they headlined the Download Festival Pilot in front of 10,000 fans. Where not a single new word flowed from the pen of Reynolds in the two years prior, a realisation was born that would come to define the band’s seventh LP: “I just didn’t realise that the human and physical connection to other people were so central to how I write,” he says. Enter Shikari isn’t just four people – it’s hundreds of thousands.

As new single ‘(pls) set me on fire’ heralds the next stage in the band’s evolution, the first words we hear from Enter Shikari 2.0 don’t come in the form of a question this time, but a command: “Please set me on fire”. In other words, ignite the spark inside us and set us free. This may be a new Enter Shikari but they’ve lost nothing in their flair for bold opening gambits.

Reynolds comments on the single’s conception:

"Honestly, I thought I was f*****. I’ve never felt so detached from my soul, my purpose, my f****** spirit. I didn’t write music for almost two years. The longest I’d gone before that was two weeks. I was broken. It’s almost as if my brain had asked: “What is the point in music if it cannot be shared? What is the point in writing music if it’s not to be experienced with others?” and then promptly switched itself off. ‘(pls) set me on fire’ grew out of that desperation. This song is a projectile vomit of positive energy. Every emotion trapped inside me for two years, finally set free.”

It was in the Spring of 2022 that the band descended to the coastal town of Chichester, and a delapidated farmhouse, to rebuild their studio setup and capture their renewed momentum on record. Using only solar power to track the album – in what Reynolds says was to “bring back some sense of naivety” – the life-giving properties and Technicolor palate of A Kiss For The Whole World were made real. Reynolds continues:

“Back to basics. This band - my best friends - bundled into an old farmhouse, miles away from anywhere. Off-grid, and ready to rediscover ourselves. This album is powered by the sun, the most powerful object in our solar system. And I think you can tell. It’s a collection of songs that represent an explosive reconnection with what Enter Shikari is. The beginning of our second act”.

LIGHT OF DAY WINTERFEST 2023 AND UPCOMING SELLERSVILLE, PA SHOW!

Kenny Chesney + Kelsea Ballerini: Pop Goes the iHeart Noms

“half of my hometown” Is Up for Best Collaboration, Country Collab
Bringing the Full-On East Tennessee I Go Back 2023 Tour Mates to the Awards

Multiple CMA Award Winner Takes on All-Genres for the First Time

They have won the Country Music Association Vocal Event and Video of the Year for “half of my hometown,” as well as being nominated for the CMA Single of the Year, but Kelsea Ballerini and her East Tennessee influence Kenny Chesney never expected to see themselves nominated alongside Elton John and Dua Lipa, Post Malone featuring Doja Cat, Lil Nas-X and Jack Harlow, Post Malone and The Weeknd, Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa, Sam Smith and Kim Petras, Future featuring Drake and Tems, Elle King and Miranda Lambert or Doja Cat featuring the Weeknd. But that’s right where their heart-rending “half of my hometown” has ended up with this morning’s iHeartRadio Music Awards nomination announcements.

With the I Go Back 2023 Tour mates starting to get ready for their March 25 kick-off at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pa., it was a surprise they didn’t see coming. But it’s also a distinction they’re honored to have received for a song that says a lot about coming up outside the major cities.

“Until you leave, you don’t really understand the pull of where you’re from,” reflected Ballerini, also a quadruple Grammy nominee, including for this year’s Best Country Solo Performance. “It’s a song that’s so much where I’m from – and as much as I’ve explored a lot of genres with so many interesting artists – I think that feeling of being torn is something people, especially ones with big dreams, know regardless of what kind of music they listen to.”

“Post Malone? Dua Lipa? The Weeknd? Doja Cat?” Chesney marveled. “That is both amazing company and a testament to the truth a good song can contain. Remembering the way I felt driving down I-40 West, chasing the dream, I knew as soon as I heard that first chorus when Kelsea texted it to me that this song had every last drop of how much you miss where you’re from, but all the reasons you have to keep going. I love that iHeart recognized the power of that emotion and that song. It makes me wonder how many of the other nominees know just how ‘half of my hometown’ feels, too.”

“Music has taken me so many incredible places,” Ballerini added. “It’s brought so many people into my life from pop, alternative and contemporary music, but singing with Kenny is going home. I love that people could hear what I heard. He was the only voice for ‘half of my hometown,’ and when he comes in, it’s just like hitting the Knoxville city limits.”

With “Better Version,” her steamy collaboration with FLETCHER, already making waves, the Platinum-certified Ballerini continues exploring the myriad styles of music, while retaining her strong commitment to being a woman whose songs reflect life as she and her peers live them. That candor and willingness to share her hurt, hopes and moments has made her one of Nashville’s most sought-after voices.

Having played to over 1.3 million fans on his Here And Now 2022 Tour, including 21 NFL stadium plays, Chesney embodies the ability to connect with others. Recognizing Ballerini’s willingness to be true to herself when he was seeking a special guest for a very special tour that returns him to the kinds of towns both grew up in, she was the natural choice.

Since taking her debut “Love Me Like You Me It,” follow-up “Dibs” and “Peter Pan” all to No. 1 on the country charts, a trifecta that matches Wynonna Judd’s solo emergence in the ‘90s, the fresh-faced and fashion-forward songwriter/vocalist has drawn on her own coming of age for some of modern music’s most personal songs, songs so true they transcend labels – and are now side-by-side with pop’s biggest names.

Written with Ross Copperman, Nicolle Galyon, Shane McAnally and Jimmy Robbins, “half of my hometown” reflects Ballerini’s journey, but also so many young people’s way of seeing the world around them.

Chase Rice Brings "Way Down Yonder" to ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tomorrow, Jan. 12

CHASE RICE BRINGS “WAY DOWN YONDER” TO
ABC’S JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! TOMORROW, JANUARY 12

Forthcoming Album
I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell Set for Release February 10

Way Down Yonder Tour Kicks Off March 3

Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Chase Rice returns to ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! with outlaw anthem “Way Down Yonder” tomorrow, January 12 from his forthcoming album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, set for release February 10. Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs at 11:35/10:35pm CT on ABC.

“When we wrote this song, I had the mountains of North Carolina where I grew up in mind; all the moonshining history there in the Appalachians,” recalls Rice. “Then all of a sudden during the recording process, Rob McNelley started playing this crazy carnival sound on the acoustic… and it got Western quick. That turned it from a song I didn’t think was even going to make the cut for this next album into one of my favorite songs on the project.”

The song was recorded along with the rest of the upcoming album during a two-week period at Rice’s farm outside Nashville, with producer Oscar Charles and a live band using a makeshift recording environment to capture a pure, raw style unlike any of his previous studio projects.

Featuring 13 tracks ranging from admiration of a Western way of life in recent releases “I Hate Cowboys” and “Way Down Yonder” to emotional reckoning in “Key West & Colorado” and a reimagined album version of “If I Were Rock & Roll,” I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell also honors Rice’s late father, Daniel, with its cover art.

“My dad was one of those good guys you read about – tough, hardworking, always helping other people out,” Rice shared of the man gracing the album cover. “I try to live my life in a way that would make him proud. I haven't always measured up to that, but I get closer to that man I want to be and the man he’d be proud of every single day.

“Making this album was a big step towards that musically, too,” he continued of the project for which he served as a writer on all 13 tracks, including three solo writes. “Not only is it the most vulnerable I've ever been, it’s also something he’d enjoy listening to and is full of stories I wish I could tell him. I’ve always wanted to honor him by using this photo as an album cover, and I know this project is the one that deserves that. I can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”

Last week, Rice brought one of the title tracks to “Good Morning America,” performing the television debut of “I Hate Cowboys.” Watch his performance HERE.

Fans will also get to hear the new music live on Rice’s upcoming Way Down Yonder Tour, set to visit iconic venues such as Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, Boston’s House of Blues and Athens’ Georgia Theatre from March 3 through July 1.

About Chase Rice
With nearly 2.4 million albums sold and over 2.4 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond. With the forthcoming album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell crafted in his rural Tennessee home-turned-studio, his sound continues to evolve to reflect the realities of his life, as evidenced by recent releases “Key West & Colorado” and “Way Down Yonder.” The new music serves as a follow up to his three-part project, The Album, featuring his latest Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen. (feat. Florida Georgia Line)” and Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are.” This is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better, freer; unbeholden and uninhibited. The new music builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the triple-Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career. Lambs & Lions followed Ignite the Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; “Gonna Wanna Tonight” and Platinum-certified “Ready Set Roll.” In addition to selling out arenas with Kane Brown and Jason Aldean plus stadiums with Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks, Rice also consistently sells out venues across the U.S. and Europe on his own headlining tours.

Black Star Riders New Single "Catch Yourself" Out Now

NEW SINGLE CATCH YOURSELF ON OUT TODAY LISTEN below.

NEW ALBUM WRONG SIDE OF PARADISE
OUT 20TH JANUARY 2023 ON EARACHE RECORDS

IN-STORE ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCES WITH RICKY WARWICK IN JANUARY 2023
10th ANNIVERSARY UK TOUR IN FEBRUARY 2023

Just a few days ahead of their new album Wrong Side Of Paradise, Black Star Riders are thrilled to announce the launch of their brand new single Catch Yourself On. In addition, to celebrate the forthcoming record, front-man Ricky Warwick will participate in a series of in-store dates throughout the UK, playing a selection of the new tracks in an intimate acoustic setting.

Ricky Warwick comments: “ ‘Catch Yourself On’ is a phrase often used in my home country of Northern Ireland, it’s used to tell someone to ‘stop being ridiculous’ or ‘to get real’. We’re sadly becoming slaves to technology and social media (guilty as charged). We don’t think twice about sharing our inner most feelings and thoughts with a world of strangers… We seem to be losing the ability to think for ourselves. Technology is controlling us, instead we should be controlling technology. It feels like it’s already surpassing human interaction."

Catch Yourself On is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Wrong Side Of Paradise, which features 11 tracks, and was recorded in the Autumn of 2021 at Studio 606 in Northridge California and Toochtoon Sound in Redmond Oregon with producer and longtime BSR associate, Jay Ruston.

Wrong Side Of Paradise is available for pre-order worldwide here. Formats include: limited coloured vinyl (including green, blue, red and black/white split), black vinyl, signed CD, cassette and digital download. A special edition of the album containing two bonus tracks can be found on CD (which comes with a 24-page song booklet) and USB stick formats. Various collector bundles are also available, including one with an exclusive 12”.

Black Star Riders are:
Ricky Warwick (Lead Vocals/Guitar),
Sam Wood (Guitar),
Robert Crane (Bass Guitar)

Pre-order POWERWOLF's special album, 'Interludium', and check out various available formats HERE

POWERWOLF are undoubtedly one of the most celebrated and successful heavy metal bands of the last decade. Multiple #1 album chart entries, gold and platinum records, huge sold out arena shows, as well as headline slots at the biggest festivals have paved their way. In less than 20 years of band history, POWERWOLF has made it to the very highest league of heavy metal.

Just in time for the highest Christian holiday, Easter 2023, the special album 'Interludium'will be released on April 7, 2023. It features six new studio tracks, including the single "Sainted By The Storm", which was already celebrated on the band's exhilarating Wolfsnächte 2022 headline tour, as well as one of the most intense tracks in the band's history, "My Will Be Done". 'Interludium' also features gems and rarities from the band's history such as “Midnight Madonna” and “Living On A Nightmare”.

'Interludium' comes in several editions, most of them containing another exciting surprise: the bonus album, 'Communio Lupatum II', where eleven befriended bands like Eisbrecher, Electric Callboy, Korpiklaani and Rage cover some of the biggest hits of POWERWOLF’s career.

More limited versions also contain the second bonus album 'Interludium Orchestrale', containing eight orchestral versions of the album tracks.

About POWERWOLF:

The story of POWERWOLF, beginning in 2004, reads like a true fairytale, but is the result of the efforts of one of the most hard-working and entertaining live band on the heavy metal planet.

POWERWOLF have secured a remarkable collection of gold and platinum awards, starting in 2015, when they reached Gold status for the first time in the Czech Republic with their album, 'Blessed & Possessed'. Additionally, both 'Preachers Of The Night'(2013) and the subsequent masterpiece 'The Sacrament Of Sin' (2018), as well as the groundbreaking streaming event 'The Monumental Mass: A Cinematic Metal Event'(2022), entered the German album and DVD charts at #1 (a massive achievement for an audio-visual release).

The thrilling DVD, 'The Metal Mass', (2016) also secured the #1 spot on the German DVD charts. Most recently, the new studio album, 'Call Of The Wild', entered the album charts at #2 (and staying for 16 weeks in the charts) while the hit single "Dancing With The Dead" went gold and platinum. The Best Of album, 'Best Of The Blessed', released in 2020, also successfully entered the German charts at #2.

POWERWOLF achieved massive success as they headlined large venues with their phenomenal stage performances on the almost completely sold out Wolfsnächte headline tours (2019 & 2022), as well as numerous summer festival shows in which crowds were thrilled and completely captivated by the wolves and their unique, (un)holy metal mass. Beyond many others, they’ve also headlined Wacken, Masters Of Rock, Summer Breeze – all massive live successes.

Once POWERWOLF performs the new studio album, 'Call of the Wild', for the first time ever, at their long-awaited debut North American shows, as well as the Easter mass in Cologne – with 'Interludium' the whole world will be completely under the sign of the wolfpack once again!

POWERWOLF are:

Attila Dorn – vocals

Falk Maria Schlegel – organ

Charles Greywolf – guitar

Matthew Greywolf – guitar

Roel van Helden – drums

Once To Die Release New Single "Regain Strength" to all major platforms!

Metal band Once To Die released their new single "Regain Strength" today. The single was recorded at Hear No Evil Studio and was mastered by Sparrow Sound.

"'Regain Strength' is a song about overcoming depression and rising from the dark hell we once lived. To dig our selves out from the grave with a renewing of the mind and spirit," says the band's frontman Jey Collins.

From the chaotic depths of Southern California, 3 original members decided to resurrect the vicious beast of Once to Die. Justin Bundy, Mark Pistone (Carry us through), Jey Collins (Solus Deus) aligned with local slammers Hector Gonzalez (Phobia) and Austin D'amond (Bleed the Sky) to evolve a destructive yet harmonious sound. The design to construct an infectious blend of beautiful calamity to bury both our own and others demons under the rubble.

Once To Die is:

Jey Collins - Singer
Mark Pistone- Guitar
Justin Bundy- Guitar
Hector Gonzalez- Bass
Austin D'Amond - Drums

Sólstafir Shares Bloody New Music Video for 'Dionysus'

Icelandic post metal band SÓLSTAFIR is now revealing a brand new music video for the song, "Dionysus," taken from their 2020 full-length, 'Endless Twilight of Codependent Love.' The bloody performance clip can be found below.

At its core, the music video for 'Dionysus' is an allegory for the inner-violence and tragedy of substance abuse, and for the struggle with an endless twilight of codependent love, inherent.

'Dionysus' was produced and filmed in Reykjavík (IS) between August and October 2021, and edited at the Don’t Panic Films studio in Boston, Massachusetts (USA). While the video was originally shot in 8K, the finished product was scanned in its entirety onto 35mm film stock for release.

'Endless Twilight of Codependent Love' can be streamed, ordered, and downloaded HERE.

A quarter of a century after singer/guitarist Aðalbjörn "Addi" Tryggvason co-founded atmospheric Icelandic metal quartet Sólstafir, they continue to follow their cardinal rule – that there are no rules. For them, writing an epic 10-minute song without a traditional verse/chorus trade-off feels natural. While they have done two albums in English, he mainly sings in their native tongue and his vocals are as much an instrument as a vessel for words. Their videos equally showcase the band and their Icelandic world that they commune with.

And their music flows however it pleases. “Having been a metal band for a long time and gone through shoegaze, atmospheric black metal, and post rock, I just feel privileged being able to mix all my favorite genres and get away with it,” says Tryggvason.

In the world of Sólstafir, artists as varied as The Beatles, Kraftwerk, Darkthrone, Ennio Morricone, and Billy Corgan swirl inside their heads, and such influences seep into their musical ether. Funnily enough, the cover for the group’s latest album Endless Twilight of Codependent Love might remind one of a famous Smashing Pumpkins album cover.

Painted in watercolor by Johann Baptist Zwecker in 1864, The Lady of the Mountain is the female personification of Iceland. It was first published in a book of Icelandic folk tales but was never shown in public. A black and white woodblock replica by the artist is what Icelanders have known until recently when two citizens found the original hidden in a Welsh museum gallery where it had been in storage for a century. Now it is back home and adorning the cover of the new Sólstafir album.

“Everybody knows the image of the Lady of the Mountain,” declares Tryggvason. All of a sudden, the original pops up and it’s like, ‘Oh my god, these are the most beautiful colors I've ever seen. And why does it remind me of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness?’ So that's purely accidental. When we saw this photo, we had to use it. It's too beautiful.”

While early Sólstafir lyrics delved into Nordic mythology and critiques of organized religion, more recent songs explore their spiritual connection with nature, and lately, mental disorders ranging from depression to alcoholism and the taboo behind men in particular discussing those things for fear of being perceived weak.

“That’s the real darkness that you can't see, but you can feel it and people around you can feel it,” explains Tryggvason. “Of course, there are serial killers and plagues and whatever through history. But in modern day life, that's the true darkness around you. People kill themselves every day, and often people close to you who have been feeling so bad.”

He says the most personal song on Endless Twilight of Codependent Love is “Her Fall From Grace,” the lone track in English. It chronicles the pain of watching a loved one succumb to mental illness.

“It's very sad when you love someone and you see them get sick,” muses Tryggvason. “Like Layne Staley said, ‘Slow suicide is no way to go.’ But you’re just watching on the audience bench, preparing for the phone call. ‘Hey man, Johnny's dead.’ ‘All right, I knew Johnny was gonna die. I've been watching him in slow motion.’” He likens the experience to seeing a relative or parent be consumed by Alzheimer’s and turn into a different person than one remembers.

Although the band’s lyrics are predominately in Icelandic, that does not prevent outside listeners from appreciating the emotional power of their music. It has been said that many fans can feel his pain even if they do not overtly understand what he is singing about.

A beautiful moment in that regard occurred when Sólstafir played Bogota, Colombia in September 2017. It was the smallest show on their South American tour, and they presumed it would not be as lively. The 300 strong throng proved them wrong. “It felt like I was in Queen at Wembley Stadium,” Tryggvason recollects fondly. “They sang every goddamn word in Icelandic. How can you explain that?”

Such passionate reactions have not gone unnoticed in their homeland. Iceland picked Sólstafir to play a total of six events New York City, Seattle, and Toronto last fall called “Taste Of Iceland.” Tryggvason says the band enjoyed the event and their intimate industry showcases at Pianos (NYC) and Livenation (Toronto) during that same trip.

Counter-intuitive thinking has helped Sólstafir evolve and mature. The new track “Or” opens with a languid, bluesy feeling but gradually transforms into an angst-ridden, guitar-driven dirge. When they conjured their breakthrough song “Fjara” in 2011, the group feared its mellow nature might put off their longtime metal followers. Instead, they embraced it. That tune, along with the ambient, banjo-laden track “Ótta,” allowed the group to play both the Brutal Assault festival in the Czech Republic five years ago and then a family-friendly music event in the Netherlands the next weekend. The new rager “Dionysus” even features a return to their black metal roots that was not planned; the song just turned out that way over a year-long span.

“Our audience grew bigger and more diverse by us just being ourselves and doing nothing different really,” notes Tryggvason.

One of the joys for him and his bandmates – bassist Svavar "Svabbi" Austmann, guitarist Sæþór Maríus "Pjúddi" Sæþórsson, and newer drummer Hallgrímur Jón "Grimsi" Hallgrímsson, who contributed some lyrics this time out – is that their perception of how their new music will turn out never corresponds with reality. It is that unknown factor that keeps things exciting.

You can never foresee band magic,” declares Tryggvason. “The whole purpose of this is cooking up magic. And if you're cooking up magic with four or five weirdos, you can never foresee what's going to happen. You can't buy that. You have to live it or grow it.”

About Eric Church
Eric Church’s most recent critically acclaimed and chart-topping project, his Heart & Soul triple album, is available everywhere now. Featuring the results of a marathon session during which he spent nearly a month writing and recording a song per day while sequestered in rural North Carolina, the trio features his latest Gold-certified No. 1 “Hell of a View” and recent Top 5 hit “Heart On Fire” as well as his latest single, “Doing Life With Me,” climbing the charts at Country radio now.

Just as unique as Church’s approach to recording and releasing music is his tenacity on the road. His latest outing, the 55-city The Gather Again Tour, offered fans an in-the-round show and earned the Billboard Music Award for Top Country Tour. Church also performed one-of-a-kind headlining stadium shows at Milwaukee’s American Family Field and Minneapolis’s U.S. Bank Stadium in 2022 and took the field at Tampa Bay’s Raymond James Stadium to perform the National Anthem with R&B star Jazmine Sullivan ahead of Super Bowl LV in 2021. During 2019’s Double Down Tour he played back-to-back nights of two unique shows in each market sans opening act, giving every city’s fans six-plus hours of his iconic music. The tour also featured a massive stop at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, where he broke the venue’s concert attendance record with more than 56,000 fans in attendance and became the first artist to sell out the venue with a solo lineup.

A seven-time ACM Award winner, four-time CMA Award winner (including the 2020 award for Entertainer of the Year) and 10-time GRAMMY nominee, Church has amassed a passionate fanbase around the globe known as the Church Choir as well as a critically acclaimed catalog of music. Bloodbather Are Back With Video For New Single "As You Die"

Broward County, Florida-based metal band and scene disruptors Bloodbather have shared the video for their brand new single "As You Die." Watch it below.

The song is the first new material from the band since 2021.

"As You Die' is about the realization of betrayal by the ones closest to you," the band shares. "It features the rejoining of our previous vocalist Jeffrey Georges with vocals by Salem Vex. A new chapter and a restart for the band moving forward."

ABOUT BLOODBATHER:
Formed in 2018, Bloodbather stormed out of the gates of Broward County with the independent EP Pressure. The group steadily built its live reputation by sharing the stage with everyone from Whitechapel to Carnifex to Of Mice & Men, and by appearing at the notable This Is Hardcore festival. The genre-blurring band earned acclaim from Kerrang!, Invisible Oranges, and more. The band signed with Rise Records in 2019 and subsequently hit the studio in Tennessee alongside producer Tate Mercer [Better Off, Chamber, Hampton].

Bloodbather released the Silence EP, which served as their Rise Records debut, in 2020. Since then, the band has been christened an "Artist You Need To Know" by Revolver, which lauded the band's ability to craft "nasty, gnarly metallic hardcore rendered all the more suffocating by layers of industrial texture" and featured them in a multi-page spread. Accolades followed from Alternative Press, Gear Gods, Lambgoat, and more. Armed with a take-no-prisoners approach, Bloodbather most certainly appeal to fans of Code Orange, Knocked Loose, and Vein.

Shock Rock Movie Filmmakers Release Extended Trailer

Shock Rock Movie directors, LORD ZANE (SOCIETY 1) and DAGON DESTROYER, have just released an extended trailer. The public can now watch 7 minutes and 25 seconds of footage now available on Youtube.

Familiar faces you’ll see in the film’s trailer are DAVE NAVARRO, JACOBY SHADDIX (PAPA ROACH), KELLY CLARKSON, ALICE COOPER, and WAYNE STATIC (STATIC-X).

The film follows the life of MATT “THE LORD” ZANE, notorious front-man of SOCIETY 1, who is known for his extreme on-stage antics, including body suspension, live orgies, face humping hecklers, and stage masturbation. At one point, Matt Zane was the most famous porn director known for his Backstage Sluts films, which solds millions of copies worldwide. Matt Zane would go on to break several world records, including suspending from 4 meat hooks at Download Festival while he performed with his band in front of a hundred-thousand people.

DAGON DESTROYER (film co-director) comments, “Matt Zane is a character that has always fascinated me. The entertainment industry hates him, and yet celebrities use him for their careers. I’ve seen documentaries on shock rock and shocking performance artists, and Matt Zane is never mentioned. It’s like he’s purposely ignored in an attempt to erase him from history.”

MATT ZANE mentions in the film that the moral landscape is so different now than it was 20 years ago, and that he’s worried about how the band will be received during their 2023 reunion tour.

"The band is getting millions of views on TikTok for stage antics we just won't replicate in today's political climate. I know some things will cross the line but others I'm not so sure about. It's difficult to know how far we're going to be able to push it in 2023."

A part of the movie will be filmed on SOCIETY 1’s tour with STATIC-X, FEAR FACTORY, and DOPE in 2023.

The filmmakers are currently working with their distributor on the
film’s release date.
