Southpaw FLHC Announce "The Standard" Out 7/31 Via Spinefarm + Share "Rolling Stone" Video

Fast-rising hardcore band SOUTHPAW FLHC — Alan King, guitar; Harrison Linder, drums; Marc Laroche, bass; and Daryn LaMontagne, vocals —  have built their reputation brick by brick, focusing on the messages of self-empowerment, pushing through struggle, perseverance, and building a legacy that speaks to all walks of life.

Today, they have announced their upcoming album The Standard, which arrives July 31 via Spinefarm. Pre-order it here.

The band has also thrown another haymaker in the form of the video for new single "Rolling Stone." Watch it below.

"'Rolling Stone' leans into the reality of living a fast life on the road in pursuit of chasing your purpose," the band states. "Losing loved ones and pieces of yourself along the way are part of the game. In the process of moving towards your purpose, the climb feels never ending, yet time continues on. But as a man, you must walk that line in order to create your own path and legacy. In honor of frontman Daryn Lamontagne's grandfather. Rest in power, Pops."

"All gas, no brakes. Driven by hunger, discipline, and a relentless passion for the love of the game. This is The Standard," the band declares.

Southpaw FLHC, who bridge the gap between the old and new generations of hardcore with elements of punk, metal and hip hop, crashed the scene with their self-titled EP, released in 2020. They haven’t taken a breath since, releasing seven singles with accompanying music videos. Clearly, their DIY ethic is strong, as the band also hit the road — and hard. They've shared stages with and toured alongside With Blood Comes Cleansing, Tracheotomy, Bodysnatcher, Surfaced, and Hoods, inciting furious moshpits in every city they played. In 2025, they embarked on a headline run with Cutthroats, Kind Eyes, Unvow, and Resistor. Their hometown roots run deep as marrow, as evidenced by the fact that they headline and packed the first-ever show at a brand new venue called HARDLOVE in Jacksonville. Southpaw FLHC ain't playing and they've established themselves as an up and comer in the hardcore scene. This is only the beginning. Their worldwide partnership with Spinefarm will allow them to ascend to the next level — because that is where they are ultimately headed.

SOUTHPAW FLHC have also announced a later summer headline tour that runs through August and September. All date are below.

KENNY CHESNEY TAKES OVER FLORA-BAMA’S DOME TO CELEBRATE 10 YEARS OF NO SHOES RADIO ON SIRIUSXM

Orders from Waffle House were arriving curbside before 6 a.m. as No Shoes Nation lined up, hoping to just get inside the sprawling Flora-Bama Lounge, Package Store & Oyster Bar. While only 388 would cram into the Dome with decades of bras hanging from the ceiling, even proximity to Kenny Chesney’s freewheeling romp across ten years of No Shoes Radio on SiriusXM was enough to draw hundreds of people before daybreak.

By the time the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar took the stage with a 1, 2 sweep of “Get Along” and anthemic “Flora-Bama,” the crowd was singing as loud as the band – and a clearly emotional Chesney announced, “thank you is a word you’re going to hear a lot,” it was clear this set was going to distill all the joy, all the freedom and all the revelry that has defined No Shoes Nation, “a concertgoing community rivaled perhaps only by Parrotheads and Deadheads” according to Variety.

With a summer residency at Sphere in Vegas, FloraBama was the moment where Chesney could have fun with the music, veer from the set list – “The Good Stuff” after asking for the key, a forgotten, but obvious “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” and a lost-in-it version of George Strait’s “Carried Away” – and also dial up the sing-alongs, the positive energy and life affirming truths with the rarely played “Guitars and Tiki Bars,” Chris Stapleton’s “Never Wanted Nothing More” and the put it aside make the moment “Save It For A Rainy Day.”

By the time a particularly robust “When The Sun Goes Down” was headed to the final verse, bombshell writer/superstar-in-the-making Megan Moroney rolled onstage in a grey No Shoes Nation “corset,” and picked up the chorus. After telling the live audience and everyone listening on SiriusXM Channel 59 the story of their friendship, mutual admiration and adventures, Rosie & The Revival swooped into Moroney’s “You Had To Be There.”

Announcing Megan had just joined the band, the pair shared the smoky “You & Tequila,” a song of knowing better and somehow giving in. That ability to make intimacy massive had defined earlier performances of “Island Boy,” sent out to Boat Captain Ben in Maine, a surging “When I See This Bar” dedicated to FloraBama pirate/poet Jimmy Lewis, and a jubilant “Three Little Birds” for good friend Ziggy Marley and the entire Marley family that led into the tropical “Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven” that felt like personal witness.

“Some days, the songs are just bigger than you are, and they take you where they and the people want to be,” Chesney said of the show. “It was so alive, so free and we were all so glad to be together playing, being with the people, that energy took over everything. Whether it was up tempo or thoughtful, talking or laughing, it reminds me why music is the most powerful force to bring us together.”

Indeed, the turbo-shanty “Pirate Flag” came with all the swagger and bravado required; right down to a woman dressed in full wench regalia in the sweltering crowd. For a band built to rock, they kicked things into another gear. But “American Kids,” which closed the 90 minutes, delivered the loudest, biggest cheers and rush of what a great band can do.

“It’s crazy: people more on fire at the end than the beginning,” Chesney marveled. “When we hit that intro, you could feel the energy double and slam right into us. Talk about a wild ride! It’s the exact reason we do this, and the reason we can’t get to Vegas soon enough.

“I’ve lived a lot of life on No Shoes Radio. I am so grateful to SiriusXM for taking what we do and amplifying it all over the world. A whole lot has happened over the last ten years, and because of them, we’ve been able to live it with everyone who loves these songs.”

Return to Dust Cover Outkast's "Hey Ya!" (Feat. Pusicfer's Mat Mitchell)

Buzzed-about rock band RETURN TO DUST — Matty Bielawski [guitar, vocals], Graham Stanush [bass, vocals], Sebastian Gonzalez [guitar], and London Hudson [drums] — are ready to shake it... like a Polaroid picture.

The band has shared its cover of OutKast's genre-smashing, 2003-released, Grammy-winning, and chart-topping mega hit "Hey Ya!," which was listed as No. 10 on Rolling Stone's "Greatest Songs of All Time List "(2021). Return to Dust's cover features synth production from Puscifer's Mat Mitchell. Ultimately, they have taken an upbeat, feel good pop classic and given it an edgy, rock 'n' roll makeover, infusing the track with a darker, gloomier vibe — making it truly their own.

Also listen Below.

"Our love for the '90s and '00s music goes further than just rock music, so we made our own heavy version of 'Hey Ya!' by OutKast," the band says.

Thrown Are Back With New Single "split"

THROWN ARE BACK WITH BRAND NEW SINGLE "SPLIT"

With "split," thrown make their long-awaited return — and it lands with a real impact. The track feels urgent and unfiltered, channeling frustration and inner pressure into something direct and physical. Listen below.

Lyrically, "split" revolves around losing control, self-doubt, and the exhausting weight of being stuck in your own head. It captures that moment where thoughts start to spiral and nothing seems to move forward. Instead of hiding behind abstraction, the band keep things raw and honest. Lines like "I've gotten used to not knowing what to do" reflect a sense of resignation, while the repeated "split my head in two" becomes a powerful expression of overload — almost like a desperate need to break free from your own thoughts.

Sonically, the track stays true to what has made thrown stand out in the first place, while sounding more refined and focused than ever. Crushing, down-tuned riffs drive the song forward, backed by relentless drums and breakdowns that hit with purpose rather than excess. There's a clear sense of control in the chaos — everything feels tight, intentional, and built for maximum impact without overcomplicating things.

In a short time, thrown have built serious momentum. With millions of streams across platforms and a rapidly growing international fanbase, the band have established themselves as one of the most exciting new names in modern metalcore. Their straightforward, no-frills approach has resonated with listeners looking for something real — something that doesn't rely on trends, but on energy and authenticity.

"split" feels like a natural next step. It takes everything the band have done so far and sharpens it — heavier, more direct, and emotionally clearer. It’s not about reinventing their sound, but about pushing it further and making it hit harder.

idle threat Share "wither without" (Feat. Silent Planet's Garrett Russell)

Nashville quintet idle threat  Ernie Fabian [guitar, vocals], Zeke McKinney[bass, vocals], Justin Jones [drums], Nathan Moe [guitar], and Dylan Winstead [guitar] — will drop their new album you'll forget the sun, out May 8 via Tooth & Nail. Pre-order it here.

Today, the band has shared the visualizer for the "wither without," featuring a guest appearance from Silent Planet singer Garrett Russell.

Watch and listen below.

"'wither without' is about watching someone you love slowly decay before your eyes, and the continuous fight that it takes to stay by their side when everything in you wants to look away," the band explains. "It's about carrying on their memory when they've lost their own."

"wither without" follows "in tandem," the moody and angular track, featuring Haste the Day vocalist Stephen Keech, which was released earlier this year. Listen Below:

idle threat will also support Haste the Day at Eastside Bowl on May 3 in Nashville.

idle threat aim to dim the darkness and let the light in through the emotional and hopeful lyrics found in each song they meticulously craft. The Nashville rock band not only gives you the space to scream next to them; they also offer up hopeful hooks you can hum along to. The quintet writes the kinds of songs that recognize how tough life is, but still help you get through it with your body, mind, and spirit intact.

As such, their second full-length album, you’ll forget the sun [Tooth & Nail], provides a reminder to keep going no matter what.

"There's a two-part meaning to you'll forget the sun," Fabian reveals. "On one hand, the days can be so dark that you forget the sun exists. On the other hand, when we step into the presence of God—whose glory is so radiant and bright—the sun will pale in comparison. We're pondering this dichotomy from a perspective informed by our faith and experiences. All of the hard things will eventually fade away, and we'll be left in the presence of light."

idle threat have uplifted listeners with a combination of cathartic energy and open-hearted honesty since 2016's Grown Tired EP. They deepened their connection with an ardent audience on blurred visions in 2021 highlighted by "no turning back," "driftwood" [feat. Cory Brandan of Norma Jean], and many others. They toured with everyone from Make Sure, Distend, Meadows, and Roy Sullivan to Norma Jean, Emery, Aaron Gillespie, and Watashi Wa, in addition to appearing at Furnace Fest twice.

Throughout the spring of 2025, the musicians recorded you'll forget the sun in Nashville with Haste The Day frontman Stephen Keech behind the board as producer. In the studio, they made major creative leaps as a collective, honing their sound in the process.

CREMATORY Unveil Video Single “Blind” From Greatest Hits Album English Hymns & Deutsche Hymnen

German gothic metal pioneers CREMATORY have released a brand-new music video for their latest single “Blind,” offering a dark glimpse into their upcoming greatest hits album English Hymns & Deutsche Hymnen.

The album is set for release on May 15, 2026 via ROAR – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music and celebrates 35 years of the band’s career. English Hymns & Deutsche Hymnen will be available as an expansive three-CD edition as well as limited double-vinyl formats. The 3-CD set includes English Hymns, Deutsche Hymnen, and Engulfed in Darkness Demo. The vinyl editions will be released as a Neon Green double vinyl (English Hymns) and a Turquoise double vinyl (Deutsche Hymnen).

The album pre-sale is available here: https://crematory.rpm.link/greatesthitsPR

With “Blind”, the exclusive bonus track on the Deutsche Hymnen LP edition, CREMATORY present one of their darkest German-language tracks to date. Driven by themes of spiritual erosion and emotional desolation, the song unfolds a bleak, cinematic atmosphere, combining crushing heaviness with immersive depth. Lines such as “kein morgen naht, kein leben bleibt / nur kalte asche” reinforce the track’s cold, ritualistic aesthetic.

Frontman Felix Stass states:
“‘Blind’ reflects a world where hope dissolves and only shadows remain.”

Formed in 1991 in Mannheim, Germany, CREMATORY have become one of the most enduring and influential acts in European gothic metal. Over more than three decades, the band evolved from their early death metal roots into a distinctive style combining heavy riffs, melodic keyboards, industrial textures, and contrasting vocal approaches.

Throughout their career, CREMATORY have explored themes of life, pain, introspection, and atmosphere, often blending deep growls with clean vocals to create a sound both powerful and haunting. Their growth in the 1990s brought them recognition across Europe through relentless touring and festival appearances.

The upcoming Greatest Hits album reflects the band’s bilingual legacy. English Hymns & Deutsche Hymnen gathers key tracks from across their catalogue in both languages and also includes the band’s earliest demo recordings, offering fans a comprehensive retrospective of CREMATORY’s long and influential journey. With 35 years of history, countless tours, and a legacy that helped shape European gothic, death and industrial metal, Greatest Hits stands as both a celebration of CREMATORY’s past and a powerful reminder that the band remains as vital as ever!

VOÏVOD Announces New Live Album ‘Symphonique’ Featuring the Quebec Symphony Orchestra Set for Release on June 5th via Century Media Records

Today, after more than 40 eventful years of existence, Canada's progressive sci-fi metal innovators VOÏVOD return with ‘Symphonique,’ a special live release together with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, set for release on June 5, 2026, worldwide via Century Media Records.

‘Symphonique,’ which functions like an epic piece of cinema, showcases VOÏVOD’s pioneering futuristic metal with the strains of a symphony orchestra, and features a carefully curated VOÏVOD best-of setlist composed of 12 songs across 73 minutes, recorded live on June 4th, 2025, at the Grand Théâtre in Québec City, Canada.

Offering a first taste of 'Symphonique,' the band shares the first single, "Forgotten In Space (Symphonique)," alongside an official visualizer curated by Cloud Motion Design, available to view below.

VOÏVOD’s drummer and founding member Michel “Away” Langevin comments on ‘Symphonique’:

“This live album with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra is a longtime dream turned reality. Thankfully, we will experience it again in 2027 with the Orchestre Symphonique du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, right in the region where VOÏVOD formed back in 1983. We wish to take this show across the globe with local orchestras one day, but in the meantime, I hope you will enjoy this epic release. It’s the closest we’ve ever come to sounding like a dystopian sci-fi movie soundtrack, another dream of ours!”

About the first single "Forgotten in Space (Symphonique),” bassist Dominic “Rocky” Laroche adds:

“Taken from the album ‘Killing Technology,’ 'Forgotten in Space' transports us to a Mad Max-esque science-fiction universe. Denis "Piggy" D'Amour was even inspired by it when composing parts of the original version. This incredible symphonic masterpiece, orchestrated by Hugo Begin, offers a powerful orchestral introduction that takes us on a musical journey where the fusion of metal and classical music invites us to imagine, for 6 minutes and 27 seconds, that humanity itself may have been forgotten in space…”

Symphonique' follows the release of VOÏVOD’s latest Juno Award-winning studio album,'Synchro Anarchy' (2022), which reached #7 on the official album sales charts in Germany, #64 in Switzerland, #67 in Austria, and #88 in the Netherlands upon release. It also arrives after the band’s special 40th anniversary release, 'Morgöth Tales' (2023).

Pre-Order 'Symphonique' HERE

VOÏVOD will next embark on comprehensive European touring runs in suitable timing for the upcoming live release starting in June.

Adam Ezra Group -Pocket Full of Seashells — Out Today

Over the last months I’ve been playing this song out...solo in the middle of our sets - and I've heard you singing it back to me. Softly, sweetly…and usually with less lyric mistakes. :)

It hadn't even been released, and you already know it…yet another reason I am so grateful for the path I’ve chosen.

It’s officially in the world today. As personal as it gets for me - about being out there missing my girls and choosing every single day to believe in this journey I'm on. I know most of you know it live…can’t wait for you to hear the raw recording from the studio. ♥️ 🐚👧 👶

STREAM / LISTEN

Revelate

With “Pocket” out, we are officially on the home stretch toward the Revelate album release. Something is happening right now that I honestly don’t have words for. You’ve already bought more tickets to the album release in Boston than we’ve ever sold for a show before. You’ve already ordered more signed and numbered first editions than any of us had imagined. Your streaming is the reason our music is reaching so many new listeners. We are not taking a single second of it for granted.

From Ashes to New Drop "Forever" Video — WATCH // New Album "Reflections" Out Now

Today, the Lancaster, PA-based quintet shares the video for "Forever." The song weaves contemplative verses with epic and explosive choruses and breakdowns, and it ultimately demonstrates the band's deftness with dynamics.

Watch the video, directed by Orie McGuinness, below.

"'Forever' came together at the very end of the record, almost like it was waiting for everything else to fall into place before it could exist," Brandyberry shares. "There's a sense of finality to it, like standing in the aftermath of something you can't fix, realizing too late where it all went wrong. It paints a picture of how it feels when regret won't let go."

He continues, "We pushed ourselves further than we ever have on this one. We made choices that felt uncomfortable, but that's what helped shape it into something different for us. The goal wasn't to play it safe; it was to evolve and create something that sticks with you. 'Forever' doesn't resolve cleanly…It lingers, and that's exactly what we wanted."

As for the album as a whole, the band explains, "It's not a concept album by design, but there's a common theme running through it — that feeling of being stuck in a kind of purgatory, where you can almost see something better ahead of you, but there's always something dragging you back down."

It is also a moment for From Ashes to New, but not simply a moment in time. The band finishes, "This record is a reflection of who we were while making it, but even more than that, it's a statement of who we're becoming. Every song helped shape a sound that feels honest to where we're headed, not where we've been. We didn't hold anything back, and you can hear that in every moment."

The 12-track REFLECTIONS is the follow-up to 2023's BLACKOUT, which achieved the #1 spot on several iTunes and Spotify Rock and Metal charts across the globe. It was a massive success. Yet, in late 2023, FROM ASHES TO NEW arrived at a creative crossroads. The group wrapped up demos for 16 songs for what was supposed to be their fifth studio album. However, instead of sprinting towards the finish line and completing the record, the band scrapped those demo sessions. The process went against everything the band had ever done before. But largely starting anew —they kept two songs—was liberating. The band collectively knew it had to make something that remained true to their traditional sound yet broadened the tent to capture the ears and focus of a fresh audience. "I wanted to take what we are good at and push it even further," Brandyberry says. "That was the process for this whole record."

As a result, fans can hear a reinvigorated FROM ASHES TO NEW on REFLECTIONS.

In other From Ashes to New news, the single "Drag Me" is Top 10 on Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

The band returns to the U.S. for a 42-date tour supporting Black Veil Brides, along with TX2, and As December Falls, starting April 25 in Riverside, CA. Tickets are available HERE. LAINEY WILSON CELEBRATED WITH PEOPLE MAGAZINE COVER STORY

16x ACM, 12x CMA and Grammy Award-winner Lainey Wilson is featured on the current cover of People Magazine in celebration of her groundbreaking career. Read the full profile HERE.

The recognition arrives during a period of non-stop activity for Wilson, who is the subject of a new in-depth documentary, Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, set for release April 22 on Netflix, will headline Stagecoach and JazzFest this spring and is nominated for seven awards at the upcoming ACM Awards: Entertainer of the Year (following two consecutive wins in the category), Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“Somewhere Over Laredo,” as artist and songwriter), Single of the Year (“Somewhere Over Laredo”), Music Event of the Year (“Trailblazer” with Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert) and Visual Media of the Year (“Somewhere Over Laredo”).

Wilson also recently made her film acting debut in Universal’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him, was selected as one of USA Today’s 2026 Women of the Year and released her new song, “Can’t Sit Still.” Written by Wilson, Trannie Anderson, Aslan Freeman and Dallas Wilson, “Can’t Sit Still” is a snapshot of Wilson’s life as an unstoppable global superstar. Continuing to receive widespread attention, the song is included on this week’s all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart, while Billboard calls it “a rollicking stomp of a song where the frenetic music perfectly matches the driving lyrics,” and iHeartRadio declares, “[it] captures Wilson’s free-spirited, yet driven and hard-working character.”

“The reigning current standard-bearer for women in country” (Variety), Wilson is in the midst of yet another monumental year. This past fall, she hosted the 59th CMA Awards (the first solo female host since Reba McEntire in 1991), where she also won three awards: Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year (Whirlwind). She also released the deluxe version of her acclaimed album, Whirlwind, in August, which features five additional tracks, including her #1 single, “Somewhere Over Laredo.”

The Grand Ole Opry member is a prolific, sought-after songwriter, who has scored nine #1 hits including “4x4xU,” “Wildflowers And Wild Horses,” “Watermelon Moonshine” and the 2x PLATINUM Certified “Heart Like A Truck,” in addition to award-winning collaborations with Cole Swindell (“Never Say Never”), Jelly Roll (“Save Me”) and HARDY (“wait in the truck”). Moreover, Wilson has collaborated with artists such as Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton and Post Malone, made her acting debut in Paramount’s hit television series, “Yellowstone,” and recently launched her fifth collection with Wrangler, as well as her own boot (Golden West Boots) and jewelry lines (The Lainey Wilson Jewelry Collection).

Joan As Police Woman releases intimate 'Flushed Chest' & 'The Ride', previewing new 'Real Life Evolution' album ft. Iggy Pop & Krystle Warren

Renowned NYC artist Joan As Police Woman presents two new singles 'Flushed Chest' and 'The Ride' - both are new versions of classic tracks, previewing her new album “Real Life Evolution”, which will be released on June 12 via UK independent Reveal Records -- on CD, Limited Edition exclusive red marble vinyl and digitally.

Exactly 20 years since releasing her much-loved debut album "Real Life", Joan has re-recorded and imagined the album in full with guests including Iggy Pop and Krystle Warren. Twenty years in the making, this record was developed through countless nights on stage, these new arrangements brought to life by the musical brilliance of the players who helped define their sound. Other contributors include Will Graefe, Jeremy Gustin, Tony Scherr, Parker Kindred, Danny Blume, Oren Bloedow and Thomas Bartlett.

Joan Wasser, known professionally as Joan As Police Woman since 2004, is a critically acclaimed musician and producer, dubbed “the coolest woman in pop” (The Times) and “one of the 21st century’s best musicians” (The Economist). As a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, her music defies easy categorization, crafting her own sound that blends various genres. She has released ten albums of original material, two cover albums, and an anthology.

While 'Flushed Chest (Real Life Evolution version)' was recorded at Hayyam Studios in Istanbul by Ceylan Akcar and Sinan Sakizli, the video was recorded at The Owl Music Parlor in Brooklyn by Adam Sachs and filmed by Ehud Lazin. Accompanied by Will Graefe and Jeremy Gustin, this is the third video in the 'The Real Life Anniversary Sessions', following her powerful, stripped-down performances of 'Anyone' and 'The Ride'.

"I wrote 'Flushed Chest' shortly after I read “Time’s Arrow” by Martin Amis. It’s the story of a life, Jeff’s life, told in backwards chronological order. I wrote this one when I was in a period of intense listening to The Wailers; Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh and Bob Marley, one of the greatest bands of all time. This song works well with the trio so we didn’t stray far from the original recording. Singing the 3-part harmonies with Will and Jeremy is a delight." says Joan Wasser

"'Real Life Evolution' is ten reimagined versions of every song from the original 'Real Life' album. Some transformations are subtle. Others are seismic. All of them were made with an entirely new cast of collaborators.”

Joan As Police Woman is a sought-after collaborator who has recorded and/ or performed with hundreds of artists, including Afrobeat legend Tony Allen, Lou Reed, Anohni & The Johnsons, Meshell Ndegeocello, Rufus Wainwright, John Cale, David Byrne, Dave Okumu, Chris Dowd, Lau, Scissor Sisters, Sparklehorse, Beck, Laurie Anderson, Lloyd Cole, Afel Bocoum, Dave Gahan, Tanya Donelly, David Sylvian, Steve Jansen and Damon Albarn (who duetted with Joan on her song 'Get My Bearings' and invited her to feature on the Gorillaz album 'Song Machine'). She also a member of Iggy Pop's touring band (on keys and vocals).

“Music has saved my life. I am a devotee. It’s not something I can even choose or not choose, it’s just what it is. The album Real Life holds the key to my whole life. At the time I felt compelled to get it all into one record because I couldn’t imagine a world where I’d make another," says Joan Wasser.

"Now, twenty years later (and twelve albums into my career), the dream continues to unfold. I still live to play music. The shared experience of a concert is a constant reminder of our common humanity. 'Real Life; was the spark that lit my calling as a solo artist and I’m truly excited to revisit all the songs that mean so much to me and lovers of 'Real Life'.”

'Flushed Chest' and 'The Ride' are now available digitally everywhere. The 'Real Life Evolution' album is out on June 12th on vinyl, CD and digitally. It can be pre-ordered via Bandcamp.

With the coming Real Life 20th Anniversary Tour, Joan brings exclusive trio shows, performing the 'Real Life' album in full, along with key singles from across her catalogue, fan favourites, deep cuts, reworked covers and a few surprises!   She next performs a small handful of shows in New York City at Joe's Pub.  All tickets can be ordered at www.joanaspolicewoman.com/tour or https://linktr.ee/japw.

DEVILDRIVER Return With 11th Album "Strike and Kill" Out 7/10 + Lead Single "Dig Your Own Grave" Out Now — PRE-ORDER + WATCH

After numerous world tours, 10 full-length albums, and globally recognized acclaim, unstoppable groove metal legends DEVILDRIVER remain full speed ahead in their second decade of decimation. Today, the band announces their explosive eleventh full length, Strike and Kill, out July 10 via Napalm Records. With the all-star lineup of frontman and mastermind Dez Fafara, virtuoso guitar duo of Alex Lee and Gabe Mangold, eruptive drummer Davier Ortega Perez, and the return of founding bass legend Jon Miller, Strike and Kill sees DEVILDRIVER return to their carnivorous origin, reigniting the incendiary sound that founded their legacy, a must listen for all fans of the genre.

Dez Fafara on Strike and Kill:
"My headspace hasn't changed, I have not become complacent or soft in my view of the world or in my music. Metal is our outlet as listeners and writers, so on this record we focused on 'getting it all out' lyrically, and backing those lyrics with savage, relentless music that fuels the heavy California groove like no other. DEVILDRIVER has never sounded like any other band, we do our own thing in our own way, and I'm the most proud of that.

"I'm so proud of these musicians, this music, and the vibe around this record. DevilDriver sounds like no one else out there right now, we are here to Strike and Kill!"

Alongside today's announcement, they unleash the fierce album opener upon the masses. Debuting yesterday on SXM's Liquid Metal, "Dig Your Own Grave," is a vitriolic onslaught of machine gun riffs and uncompromising aggression, lyrically lambasting fools responsible for their own undesirable fates. Full of piss and vinegar, this is DEVILDRIVER at maximum ferocity, giving listeners just a taste of the unspeakable carnage waiting within Strike and Kill.

About the track, Fafara states:
"'Dig Your Own Grave' is about how one wrong decision, one wrong move can see your whole world turned upside down, effectively 'digging' your own grave… it's that simple.

"It can also refer to how your decisions can fuck someone else. This is why there's the line 'Six feet ain't deep enough for you,' because only a deep, deep hole is fitting for what you've done or tried to do to others. Be careful when you choose to make decisions at midnight."

Additionally, DEVILDRIVER will be touring across the western United States with Upon A Burning Body and Ov Sulfur. Kicking off August 14 in San Diego, CA, the Strike and Kill North American Tour 2026 will hit a slough of major cities including Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, Salt Lake City, UT, and Reno, NV before its thunderous conclusion on September 5 in sunny Anaheim, CA. Midwinter Release New Album 'A Love I Hope Will Haunt Me Forever' And "Moonveil" Official Video via Papercut Recordings

Atmospheric metalcore quintet Midwinter have today released their new album, 'A Love I Hope Will Haunt Me Forever' via Papercut Recordings. The full-length is the band's second since their 2025 debut album, 'Is There Anything You Want To Say?' and latest body of work since the release of their 'CHAPTER THREE: STILL HURTS' EP last month. The band has also dropped the official video for "Eager Tides" from the new album watch below , and has previously shared videos for "Champagne" and most recently, "Lying Figures". When asked about 'A Love I Hope Will Haunt Me Forever', Midwinter commented:

"This album came from a really personal place for us. It’s about losing someone you love and trying to make sense of everything that comes after; the doubt, the anger, the quiet moments where it all sinks in. Sonically, we let ourselves experiment and push into heavier, stranger territory, somewhere between progressive metalcore and thall with a specific emphasis on sound design. We wanted the sound of the album to reflect the raw emotion of the lyrics while also maintaining our staple modern sound."

Fans can also see the band hit the stage across the US alongside Unprocessed and Allt (ticket info here). 'A Love I Hope Will Haunt Me Forever' is available now on all streaming platforms , and watch the official "Eager Tides" video Below.

ABOUT MIDWINTER

Midwinter carves beauty from chaos with their emotionally charged brand of progressive metalcore. Blending punishing thall-infused riffs, lush ambient layers, and introspective lyrics, the Cleveland, Ohio based five-piece explores themes of loss, identity, and healing. Their sound design is immersive and intentional—layered with glitchy textures, dissonant melodies, and experimental production techniques that push genre boundaries and elevate every emotional peak and breakdown.

AMORPHIS Ignite Festival Flame With "The Lantern"

Finnish metal legends AMORPHIS have shared the official video for "The Lantern", a centerpiece of their critically discussed fifteenth studio album Borderland, out since September 2025 via RPM. Borderland marks a milestone in the band’s 35‑year evolution, blending melodic depth and dynamic storytelling with a refreshed creative spark borne from their first collaboration with producer Jacob Hansen.

Drawing its imagery from mythic currents and nocturnal wanderers, "The Lantern" captures the haunting journey along Tuonela’s black river.

“The atmosphere on The Lantern is dramatic and evocative,” says guitarist Esa Holopainen. “From sonic depth to live energy, you can hear the emotional arcs and see them on stage in every frame.” The live footage underscores that cinematic pulse—transforming raw performance into a visual odyssey.

Watch the video for "The Lantern" Below:

Borderland has drawn attention from press worldwide for its melodic sensibilities and textural richness, with critics noting a potent blend of AMORPHIS’ trademark atmospherics and a renewed clarity in songwriting.

NYC's ECCE SHNAK announces North American & UK tour dates with Britpop icons EMF

Genre-bending New York City outfit Ecce Shnak will join platinum-selling legends EMF for their North American tour, bringing them up and down the East Coast and even further into Canada. The two bands are also teaming up for a series of UK shows in June.

Forged in NYC's experimental scene, Ecce Shnak has a reputation for "high-wire" performances, their music a volatile yet meticulously crafted ecosystem, where technical precision meets a sense of inspired mayhem. Pronounced Eh-kay sh-knock, the band is made up of David Roush (composer, bassist and one of two singers), Bella Komodromos (vocals), Chris Krasnow (guitar), Gannon Ferrell (guitar), and Henry Buchanan-Vaughn (drums).

2025 set the stage for these developments when the bands toured the US West Coast, along with Spacehog. More recently, Ecce Shnak featured on EMF's stellar indie dance track 'LGBTQ+ Lover' with both Davey and Bella contributing vocals. The video footage was filmed during the 2025 tour.

"'LGBTQ+ Lover' is a friqq’n collaboration between EMF and Ecce Shnak! It's a loving homage to the LGBTQ+ community worldwide, and we will be bumping it as hard as possible on all nights," says frontman David Roush.

"We - EMF and Ecce Shnak - are absolutely ecstatic mofos to announce our East Coast US tour this May (with two dates in Canada as well). We’ll be rockin & shnakin’ on 10 stages over 11 days. EMF have also invited us to be the opening act for 6 joyful days in the UK early this June!  So trampuce along with us. To quote EMF, “You deserve more than this world could ever give!”"

Ecce Shnak's music can be found on digital music platforms, including BandcampSpotify and Apple Music.  Tickets for Ecce Shnak and EMF live dates are now available.

SPREAD EAGLE Unleashes New Single "Flat Earth Vultures" + Official Video

Today, hard rock veterans SPREAD EAGLE unleash their new single “Flat Earth Vultures,”taken from their upcoming album, ‘The Brutal Divine,’ out on June 12, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl. The new track arrives alongside an official video, available below.

SPREAD EAGLE are currently on the road on “The Brutal Divine Tour 2026,” with dates across the US, UK, and Europe throughout the summer. For the full list of dates, please see below and HERE.

On “Flat Earth Vultures,” the band comments:

“If there ever was a guitar riff that defines what street metal is, we’d say it’s 'Flat Earth Vultures.' Combined with an interesting lyrical observation on how the rich are making clowns of the rest of us, the track is an instant SPREAD EAGLE classic.”

Watch the Official Video for "Flat Earth Vultures" Below:

‘The Brutal Divine' is SPREAD EAGLE’s long-awaited fourth studio album and a fierce new chapter in the band’s uncompromising legacy. Known for their raw energy, streetwise attitude, and explosive live performances, they once again prove why they remain a vital force in modern hard rock.

The band described the new record as “an emotionally and musically heavy body of songs showcasing a unique command of power, dynamics, and melody. We have harnessed the energy of years of non-stop touring and turned it into a metal/punk thrill ride of an album."

“Lyrically, 'The Brutal Divine' challenges us to question our views and ask if we're truly as free-thinking as we may believe. Once that question is posed, the album progresses towards uplifting messages of hope and community”, they continued.

Fronted by the unmistakable voice of Ray West, the band delivers a powerful collection of songs that balance grit and melody, aggression and soul. Guitarist Gianmaria “Jommy” Puledda injects the record with razor-sharp riffs and soaring harmonies, while Rob De Luca(bass, vocals) and Rik De Luca (drums) form a thunderous rhythmic backbone that drives every track with authority and groove.

Produced by Rob De Luca, 'The Brutal Divine' captures the band at their most focused and dynamic - blending their classic hard rock roots with a darker, heavier edge. The album channels the intensity and authenticity that first put SPREAD EAGLE on the map, while showcasing a band that continues to evolve without losing its identity.

With a full slate of live dates planned in support of the release, SPREAD EAGLE is ready to bring 'The Brutal Divine' to stages around the world - where their music truly comes alive. This is hard rock delivered with conviction, attitude, and fire.

Gåte Sign to Season of Mist with Release of New Single “Sannsiger” (ft. Maria Franz)

Season of Mist is proud to welcome Gåte.

Gåte are one of the most distinct bands to come out of Norway. Starting in the early 2000s, the band broke new ground by mixing Nordic folk tradition and modern rock. In 2002, their debut album entered at #1 on the Norwegian Albums chart and won them the Spellemann Award (Norwegian Grammy) for Best Newcomer. Following two more successful albums, the band took a hiatus before returning in 2017 to critical acclaim and sold-out performances. They represented Norway in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest and toured throughout Europe in 2025 with Leprous.

As they open a new chapter with Season of Mist, today, Gåte are releasing  “Sannsiger”, the first single from their soon-to-be-announced sixth studio album. Featuring Maria Franz from Season of Mist labelmate Heilung, the song sets a decisive tone for what the band has in store. It weaves Hardanger fiddle and nyckelharpa into their contemporary sound, threading together into an intense and immersive expression that’s shaped by repetition, tension and ritual movement.

Watch the music video for “Sannsiger” Below:

Stream “Sannsiger”

https://orcd.co/gatesannsiger

“Signing with Season of Mist reflects a shared ambition to work without compromise and with a long-term vision for reaching an international audience”, Gåte says. “The title of our  new single, ‘Sannsiger’, is a figure who is found in folklore and belief systems across cultures. They are understood as someone who interprets signs, visions and divine messages, in order to foresee what lies ahead. Within the context of this song, they also represent those who dare to speak uncomfortable truths. Throughout history, and still today, such voices have often been silenced, punished or attacked for challenging what others wish to keep hidden”.

“‘Sannsiger’ hit me from the very first moment that I heard it”, Heilung vocalist Maria Franz says. “The song’s raw energy immediately resonated with me. I’ve been a fan of Gåte for many years, so accepting the invitation was a no-brainer. The band were wonderful to work with, and I’m very excited to hear the rest of their upcoming album”.

In anticipation of their upcoming new album, today, Gåte are also announcing a fall headline tour. The tour will bring the band to nine cities across Norway, plus one date in Istanbul, Turkey. During this ten date run, they will perform “Sannsiger”, along with other new songs and fan favorites from their celebrated discography.

Gåte Concerts 2026

October 23 - Trondheim, Norway @ Havet [TICKETS]

October 30 - Drammen, Norway @ Union [TICKETS]

October 31 - Oslo, Norway @ Sentrum Scene [TICKETS]

November 5 - Haugesund, Norway @ Høvleriet [TICKETS]

November 6 - Stavanger, Norway @ Folken [TICKETS]

November 7 - Bergen, Norway @ Verftet [TICKETS]

November 12 - Skien, Norway @ Parkbiografen [TICKETS]

November 13 - Moss, Norway @ Verket Scene [TICKETS]

November 14 - Hamar, Norway @ Festiviteten [TICKETS]

November 21 - Istanbul, Turkey @ IF Performance [TICKETS]

Gåte are also performing an acoustic set at Castlefest in the Netherlands on August 1, plus another acoustic set as special guests for Wardruna at the Nordic Night event in Oslo on June 13.

Rooted in the intersection of Nordic folk tradition and contemporary rock, Gåte have spent over two decades developing a sound that feels both ancient and fiercely present. Drawing on centuries-old ballads, oral traditions and traditional vocal forms, the band transform these sources into music that is physical, emotionally direct and unmistakably their own.

“Gåte have been drawing from traditional music and transforming it with modern means into something new right from their beginning”, Metal Hammer writes.

Rather than treat tradition as a fixed reference, Gåte approach it as a living force. Old material is not preserved for its own sake, but reworked and recontextualized, allowing it to resonate with contemporary urgency and relevance.

“Our music comes from a place where tradition is not something fixed, but something alive” the band says. “We draw from old sources because they still speak to us, and because they allow us to express something honest and human today.”

Afterlife Show Their "Bad Habits" With New Single

AFTERLIFE Tyler Levenson (vocals), Andrew McGuire [guitar], Luke Walkinshaw [drums], and Tristan Edwards [bass] — have bad habits and they're sharing them! The band has just dropped the video for their frenetic and gloriously glitchy new single "Bad Habits."

Watch the video, which finds the band in performance mode, below

"'Bad Habits' is about realizing that your behavior or vices are negatively impacting the people around you," explains Levenson. "It captures the struggle between denial and self-awareness, ultimately becoming a cry for help. As people, we all struggle with life and the unfortunate circumstances it brings. Sometimes the ways we cope, the ways we 'get by' can become harmful, not only to ourselves but to those around us."

He continues, "One of my favorite deliveries in the song takes place in Verse Two, where I intensely describe my battle with denial: 'Then I put a fake face on, 'cause I'm headed to a place that I gotta get away from / Can you help me get away from all the pain, the doubt, the fear that traps me here?' The song is a perfect description of how I was feeling on a day-to-day basis at various points in my life."

Also, Afterlife were just added to Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida. They will appear on Thursday, May 7.

Upon solidifying their lineup back in the 2017s, the members of Afterlife bonded over influences like Slipknot, Linkin Park, and Papa Roach as they cultivated their own sound. As a unit, they locked into a groove and dropped the Vicious Cycle EP that same year. Speaking to the excitement around the band, they sold out their very first headline gig: the EP’s release show. Catalyzing their momentum, they hit the studio with producer Zakk Cervini [Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens, Poppy] and dropped their debut album Breaking Point during 2019.

Pushing forward, they evolved once again with the full-length Part of Me [2021]. Beyond amassing millions of streams, they've shared stages with the likes of Ice Nine Kills, From Ashes To New, Crown The Empire, Bury Tomorrow, Rise Of The Northstar, Zero 9:36, and more. Gracing the bills of some of the country's biggest rock festivals, they've ignited Welcome To RockvilleLouder Than LifeInkcarceration Festival (Main Stage), Shiprocked Cruise, and Blue Ridge Rock Festival. Meanwhile, they have received widespread critical acclaim from Alternative PressRock SoundMetal HammerRevolverLoudwireSubstream MagazineKnotfest, and more.

In 2024, the band independently released their smashing single "Bleed You Dry," opening the door to a surge virality on TikTok. Afterlife premiered the song live for the first time ever at Welcome To Rockville, and it remains a live staple. Moreover, "Bleed You Dry" quickly piled up north of 15 million collective streams and views.

Renowned for explosive live shows, witnessing one gig was all it took for Mascot Records to sign them in 2025. Shortly after inking their deal, the group hit the studio with producers Zach Jones [Crown The Empire, Nothing More, We Came As Romans, Pop Evil] and Austin Coupe [Papa Roach, The Devil Wears Prada, Thousand Below, Moodring]
