Iceland's Sátan Metal Festival Announces Final Wave of Bands; Nergal + Misþyrming 'Sventevith' Collab, The Haunted + More!

Sátan, an emerging metal festival in Iceland, is now pleased to reveal the final wave of bands for 2026 and is pleased to present a very special collaboration between Behemoth frontman Nergal and Icelandic black metal visionaries Misþyrming, who will join forces to perform Behemoth's seminal debut, 'Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic),' in its entirety. The festival also now welcomes Icelandic post-hardcore outfit Gavin Portland, Swedish thrash pioneers The Haunted, and Iceland Music Award's 2025 "Newcomer of the Year," Múr!

The third edition of the festival will take place in Stykkishólmur on the Snæfellsnes peninsula from June 4-6, 2026!

Milwaukee Metal Festival 2026 is pleased to now welcome IRON REAGAN as the first headliner for next year! In addition, the festival has previously announced ACID BATH, BELUSHI SPEED BALL, and MORTA SKULD!

VRSTY to Celebrate 5-Year Anniversary of "Cloud City" EP With New Acoustic EP + Band Shares "Shameless (Acoustic)"

Genre-blending and bending New York City-based collective VRSTY (pronounced "Varsity") are celebrating the five-year anniversary of their Cloud City EP with a twist.

The band will drop the four-song Cloud City (Archives) EP on December 12. It features acoustic renditions of three of the EP's original tracks ("Dig," "Pathos," and "Shameless"), giving these classic songs a fresh, reimagined flavor. 
 

The new EP also features an acoustic version of "YOU & I." While this song was does not appear on the original Cloud City EP that dropped via Spinefarm in 2020, it was written during that period of the band's history and is, well, from the VRSTY archive.

"I've always loved the kinda 'heavy softness that 'Shameless' had and always thought it would be cool to explore that more," says singer Joey Tyler. After all, that song was the very FIRST time anyone ever listened to us and gave us a chance."

1349 Streams Full Performance Video for 'Winter Mass' Concert via Black Metal Promotion

True Norwegian black metal horde 1349 is now streaming the full performance of their 'Winter Mass' concert via Black Metal Promotion! The concert was captured on November 20, 2021 in the band's hometown of Oslo (NO) at the venue Parkteatret. Fans can now watch the entire set below.

1349 has also recently been announced among the first wave of bands to take the stage at next year's edition of Beyond the Gates Festival. The epic four-day metal event will take place once again in the heart of Bergen (NO) from July 29 - August 1, 2026. Tickets are available HERE.

The cover artwork and layouts for 'Winter Mass' were created by Kim Diaz Holm. The Norwegian artist has captured more than 2,000 concerts, often while standing to the side of the stage. Holm has worked with larger-than-life artists like Abbath but developed a special connection with 1349 after drawing them at both Inferno Festival and Hulen in 2012. Over the past 13 years, he has continued to document the band's incendiary live shows and even designed their merch. What he's created for Winter Mass draws fans even closer to fire. Sketched while he was headbanging in the pit, these drawings leap off the page with the same raw, dark spirit as their muse.

With their signature aural hellfire, 1349 embodies the original spirit of black metal.  

Unhappy with the direction the genre took during the mid-90s, in 1997, vocalist Ravn formed the 1349 with like-minded bassist Seidemann. The band’s current lineup – which is bolstered by guitarist Archaon and Frost (who also drums for Satyricon) – has been in place since 2001. Over the past two decades, they have ignited major European festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Hellfest with their fiery performances and toured internationally with the likes of Cannibal Corpse and Carcass. Each of their eight studio albums have been inspired by the same guiding principal: to bring back the grimness, the eeriness and the primal emotions of Norwegian black metal.

Now, fresh from the ashes of their eighth album, The Wolf & The King, 1349 are releasing a new live album. Though recorded shortly after pandemic lockdown was lifted, 'Winter Mass' explodes out the gates with the band’s signature aural hellfire. This hour-plus set, recorded at Oslo's Parkteatret, enraptured their home crowd with apocalyptic spells from across their discography’s massive cauldron of chaos. Early classics like “Sculptor of Flesh” thrash with unchained madness. Recent favorite "Striding the Chasm" whips by at a blistering pace that could only be captured by cover artist Kim Diaz Holm, who drew the album’s artwork while headbanging in the pit.   

"I will always be here / In all ways in all times", snarls Ravn on hellacious cut "I Am Abomination". After three decades and counting, what was once a proclamation is now a testament to 1349's enduring firepower.

SOiL Return to the UK for an October/November 2026 Tour with Finger Eleven and Adema

UK favorites SOiL will make their long-awaited return in October and November 2026, following the massive success of their sold-out 2024 UK tour, which featured the band’s special All Scars set.

This new run expands to 15 dates, marking the band’s longest UK stretch yet, and includes several first-ever stops in cities they’ve never performed in throughout their extensive career.

A major highlight of the tour will be their appearance at the legendary Hard Rock Hell Festival XIX on November 5th in Great Yarmouth.

SOiL promises a powerful, career-spanning set packed with fan favorites, charting hits, deep cuts, and even long-awaited new material, making this one of their most anticipated UK tours to date.

Accompanying SOiL on this trek are Canada’s own Finger Eleven (best known for the hits “Paralyzer” and “One Thing”), and long time friends Adema (best known for the hits “Giving In” and “The Way You Like It”).

SOiL bassist Tim King talks about the package:

“We  are so excited to have both bands on this bill with us. Finger Eleven and SOiL go way back but we’ve never properly toured together. And Adema. Well, we’ve been  great friends with them since 2001. In fact, our first ever UK tour in  2002 was with Adema. It’s great to see we are both still around and able to team up once again to come across the pond together!”

“Finger Eleven has been looking forward to making their way back to the UK,” says vocalist Scott Anderson. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to be touring with SOiL this time around. We can’t wait to reunite with old friends and rock out across the pond!”

The iconic Inferno Metal Festival started in 2001 and is the longest running metal festival in

Norway and one of the most important extreme metal festivals in the world. We are very proud

of this position and we will continue fronting Norwegian metal and bringing bands from all over

the world to Norway. Inferno Metal Festival is being held four days at Rockefeller Music Halls’

two stages Rockefeller and John Dee as well as many smaller clubs around Oslo. The festival takes place during Easter in Norway when not a lot of other stuff is happening in Oslo. The festival are usually sold out and more than fifty percent of the audience are from outside of Norway. The ticket sales are from all over the world including China, Australia, Chile, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, USA, Columbia, Argentina and many more.

CORONER Announces North American West Coast Headliner w/ Support from HEATHEN

Technical thrash pioneer CORONER will be embarking on a West Coast headlining tour in North America early next year in which they will be supported by HEATHEN! The "Dissonance Over the West" tour will kick off on February 4 in Las Vegas, NV and will make its way through the U.S. and Canada through the last stop on February 22 in Mesa, AZ. Bullet Release "Keep Rolling" Video

Swedish powerhouse Bullet have released the video for their new single "Keep Rolling" . The song is featured on their upcoming studio album Kickstarter.

 "There was this song idea for the album that had that steady, ongoing, slow and heavy beat to it," the band shares about the song. "It kinda reminded us of 'Rolling Home' that we wrote many years ago, yet with a dark and stormy gloom to it. So, what better choice than to make it the 'Rolling Home 2.0' and make the lyrics tell the story of how the Bullet-bus went from being a wreck at the side of the road into a metal monster with a new engine pounding stronger than ever. The song has a special place in all of us and was one of the most challenging to record. It's a natural second single!"

Lainey Wilson returned to serve as host for the 2025 CMA Awardsmarking her first time solo hosting the program and taking home three awards including her second win for the top honor Entertainer of the Year. The 12x CMA Award winner also captured her second win for Album of the Year for her latest Whirlwind and her fourth time donning the title Female Vocalist of the Year. Kickstarting the show with a monologue medley of top country hits from the night’s attendees, the evening included banter with comedian, actress and friend Leanne Morgan, a special “Cowgirl of the Night” and even “Cowboy of the Night” moment with actor Alan Ritchson and a feisty and energy packed performance of “Ring Finger” from her Whirlwind album. Vana Signs to Sumerian Records, Drops Brand New Single & Music Video "Pray"

Auckland-based, RnB tinged industrial metal vanguard, Vana has announced her signing to Sumerian Records and releases "Pray” today. The signing marks a significant shift for the self-taught multi-instrumentalist, who has already built a devoted global following and over 85 million streams across platforms independently. Her brand new single "Pray" and its accompanying music video arrive as Vana is wrapping up her US tour supporting Set It Off and Fame On Fire, bringing her unique blend of industrial alt-metal, trap and R&B to packed rooms across the country. “Pray” explores the fracture of reality through the lens of someone experiencing psychosis and mania, twisting religious iconography into a portrait of psychological chaos. "This song stems from the idea of how it'd feel experiencing psychosis. Sonically, this song is just as chaotic as I'd imagine someone's psyche would be if they were in a manic episode. Almost as if both the angel and the devil on your shoulders were both screaming in your ears at the same time.

"Signing with Sumerian feels like I've found a label that understands my brain. "They believed in 'Pray' the second they heard it, as well as in the world I want to create around my project. This song is the beginning of a whole cinematic universe I've been dying to create. I feel like I just joined the perfect team to help me make the chaos in my brain real. Vana taught herself guitar, bass, and production as a teenager in Auckland, originally imagining a career as a lead guitarist before stepping into the spotlight herself. Her breakout single "Beg!" amassed 18.8 million Spotify streams and 1.7 million video views independently, cementing her as one of the most buzzworthy names in alternative music. The JAZZ From HELL festival will take over Le Poisson Rouge on Friday, December 12, 2025, presenting an electrifying evening of experimental sound and forward-thinking performance. There’s a special kind of madness that happens when a band circles back to its roots — that wild-eyed realization that the thing you were chasing was behind you the whole damn time. CROBOT are standing right there now, staring down the beast they built, grinning through the smoke.

Brandon Yeagley still preaches his gospel from behind the mic like some back-alley shaman with a harmonica holstered for punctuation. Christopher Bishop remains the riff conjurer — tone soaked in engine grease and snake oil, as if the guitar itself were trying to escape the song. Following on from the critically acclaimed Jord (2019) and Diorama (2021), MØL’s latest opus sees their sound continue to evolve as they embrace new horizons - as a band and as individuals. Drawing on influences including My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins and Smashing Pumpkins, the album explores recurring themes of belonging, resilience and finding home within oneself. Dreamcrush arrives with a renewed sense of confidence, acceptance and vigour.

Recording took place over several months in Frederik Uglebjerg’s Aarhus studio, allowing the band to shape the album gradually. Vocalist Kim Song Sternkopf explores his baritone register, delivering lyrics in Danish and English that reflect personal introspection and a revisitation of past events. Guitar solos by Nicolai Busse elevate the emotional journey, while abstract, Emil Nolde-inspired artwork by Daniel Owen at Nemesis Design (Sleep Token, Architects, BFMV, TesseracT) and photography by Rolf Meldgaard visually complement the album’s exploration of dreams, reality and emotional reconciliation.

Fans can experience the album live as MØL embark on a headline tour across Europe and the UK throughout February 2026 with support from Tayne and Cold Night For Alligators, promising shows that translate the album’s intensity into a visceral, unforgettable performance.
