Scorpions Release Video for "Blackout (Coming Home Live)"

Let's start with a bit of a history lesson. Or an urban legend.

There was a wild night of partying with members of Def Leppard and Judas Priest — the details of which the SCORPIONS couldn't remember the next day, even with the best will in the world.

It was… a total blackout.

This merciless moment, which no one who was actually there can remember, laid the musical foundation for one of the SCORPIONS' most triumphant successes — the song "Blackout."

Fast forward several fruitful decades and that very song is lead single from band's forthcoming Coming Home Live album, which will undoubtedly achieve instantly iconic status.

Listen to "Blackout (Coming Home Live)" here.

Watch the video, which premiered at Wacken Open Air below.

The live version conveys the power, the virtuosity, and the epic moments of July 5, 2025, when the band performed (and recorded) a magical concert on the stage of the Hanover Stadium to a crowd of 45,000 enthusiastic and adoring fans.

While the SCORPIONS have performed countless times in huge stadiums around the world, July 5 marked the first time the legendary rockers performed a stadium concert in Germany and in the hometown of Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, and Matthias Jabs. The occasion? The 60th anniversary of the band.

During this concert, the band bridged the gap between yesterday and tomorrow. "

Scorpions celebrate the biggest home game of their career — a thrilling anniversary concert" stated NDR. Hannoversche Allgemeine newspaper noted, "The Scorpions' stadium concert will be a triumph."

Facts are facts and it was a triumph indeed.

Coming Home Live effectively documents six decades of one of the most important international rock bands of their day.

Eli Young Band’s New Album, ‘Strange Hours,’ Out Now

18x RIAA-certified country hitmakers Eli Young Band launch a new era with Strange Hours, out now. As the band’s first independently released album via UnLevel Records and their first full-album release in over three years, Eli Young Band shares why they keep Strange Hours. Listen to the album below.

Strange Hours comprises 13 songs, all co-written as a band or with long-trusted collaborators, and introduces a new chapter driven by experience and a million miles of wisdom, from a band of brothers who grew from hometown heroes into globe-trotting, chart-topping pioneers still very much in their prime. Eric Arjes and Jimmy Robbins produced 12 of the 13 tracks, while “Bad Luck” was produced by Julian Raymond and Scott Borchetta.

“We started this thing when we were like 20 years old, and it’s been such a crazy road and such a longer road than any of us could have conceptualized at the time,” says bassist Jon Jones. “I think right now feels a little full circle, in a really nice way.”

Seeking both a fresh start and a return to their roots with this project, the never-changing lineup of Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones and Chris Thompson sought out Panhandle House Studio in their hometown of Denton, Texas – the birthplace of the college friends-turned-bandmates’ 2005 debut album Level, which spawned fan-favorites such as “Small Town Kid” and set the stage for the numerous hits that have followed in the 20 years since.

“Now, we get to step back into our Texas shoes,” vocalist Eli agrees. “I think this new stuff finds us reaching deep into our past as a band. We’re remembering where the magic was – all those songs we wanted to record for our Level record, that felt way too edgy for Country Radio at the time.”

For the band, being independent again for the first time in years isn’t a challenge, it’s a reward – and they took the chance to embrace not just renewed creative freedom, but the fun of their self contained live-band philosophy.

“Going back to Panhandle House where we recorded Level, it feels like we got to remind ourselves why we started making the kind of music we make,” Eli says. “When this music comes out, I think fans will know it is 100% coming from us.”

“Honestly, going to Panhandle House feels like going back to your childhood home in a way,” Jones notes. “It just evokes these memories, like this slightly-younger version of ourselves comes out.”

“One thing that’s really special is we’ve come full circle and remember that energy, but we’re also older and wiser,” drummer Thompson adds. “We have years of studio, songwriting and performing experience under our belt, so we have more of a honed edge going in. That’s a really cool advantage.”

The comfort level is plainly evident. Exploring new corners of their patented sound by day, and going home to their families each night, the band members were free to bring every ounce of the last 25 years to bear. Tracks like the lead single “Home In Hometown” are proof, featuring all the elements that made EYB what it is – from the electric vocal delivery to the deeply textured sonics and soulful theme.

A true-to-experience ballad of life on the highway, “Home In Hometown” stands as a heart-on-their-sleeve tribute to those the band loves most – and what they’ve learned from 20+ years away. While atmospheric guitars and a steady rhythmic pulse capture a sense of anticipation, another euphoric chorus helps the band unpack what “home” really means.

“I was digging deep into our Texas roots,” Eli says of the modern-classic midtempo. “I wanted to write something that felt like Pat Green or Jack Ingram would cut. And when you travel like we do, a lot of times you’re thinking about coming home and being with your family – but, it’s almost like if they meet you on the road, anywhere can be home. It just feels right. I wanted to capture that.”

Strange Hours also includes a head-nodding, foot-tapping feature from Corey Kent in “Whiskey Told Ya” as Kent delivers humorous lyrics with raspy vocals throughout the track that lyricizes the story of when alcohol meets honesty:

From feel-good singalongs and heart melting wedding anthems to pure, untamable romance and clever comebacks of love, they show the same stage-rocking Texas-country hit makers fans know and love, undaunted and with new maturity baked in.

“It’s been a blessing just to be able to do this for so long, and over our career we’ve seen a lot of bands come and go,” guitarist Young says. “This feels like family, and we can take that with us as we go down this next part of the road.”

“Our music, since it’s been the four of us making it from day one, has such a strong through line,” Jones agrees. “The way we sounded in the beginning, that’s the way we’re going to sound in the end.”

As the ACM Award-winning and CMA and GRAMMY-nominated band unveils their newest project, they also continue on a celebratory road journey with their headlining Strange Hours Tour, underway now. The thrilling foursome return to their element – packing a live-show setlist with No. 1 smashes like the 5x Platinum single “Crazy Girl,” 3x Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” 2x Platinum “Love Ain’t” and Platinum “Drunk Last Night.”

Maddox Batson's Newest Release "No More" and Music Video Out Now

Following a breakout year that included his Grand Ole Opry debut, a high-profile appearance at Stagecoach, profile by NBC Nightly News and the launch of his First Dance (The After Party) Deluxe EP, rising country artist Maddox Batson just released a powerful new track, “No More,” available now via Prosper Entertainment / Warner Records. Listen to the song here and watch the official music video below.

Written by Johnny Simpson, Josh Dorr and Batson, and produced by Johnny Simpson at BullRun Studios in Nashville, “No More” taps into heartbreak and healing with Batson’s signature mix of grit, vulnerability and raw emotional delivery.

“This song’s about finally walking away,” says the 15-year-old Alabama-raised, Nashville-born artist. “It’s about knowing your worth and learning when enough is enough. I think a lot of people, even my age, have felt that moment of courage where you decide, ‘you’re not breaking my heart again.’”

Fueled by a hook-heavy chorus and defiant lyrics, “No More” highlights Batson’s continued evolution as both a songwriter and performer.

Batson’s momentum continues with his headlining I Need A Truck Tour, launching September 7 in Richmond, Virginia, and hitting 29 cities across the U.S., along with select dates on Lainey Wilson’s Whirlwind Tour this fall, including a stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on October 2.

NBC Nightly News hailed Batson as “A young star, new on the country charts already striking a chord and hitting all the right notes.” At the same time, Forbes declares him as a teen who “blends country and pop with heartfelt vocals.” Batson continues to build a loyal fan base thanks to his high-energy shows, honest storytelling and genre-blending sound that connects across generations.

“No More” is available now on all streaming platforms. Listen here.

About Maddox Batson:
Maddox Batson navigates the world with wisdom and wit far beyond his 15 years. After the Nashville-born, Alabama-based songwriter began gaining notoriety covering songs from Zach Bryan, Red Clay Strays and more, he started to write his own songs. Thanks to early singles like “Tears In The River” and “I Wanna Know,” Batson quickly showed that he wasn’t only a star at covering country hits, but an excellent writer of his own home-cooked cuts – a practice he saw first-hand as a co-writer on Lana Del Rey and Quavo’s smash hit collaboration, “Tough.”

With the arrival of his deluxe EP First Dance (The After Party), Batson was ready to show the world you’re never too young to be the face of music all while preparing for sold-out live shows across the country with his I Need A Truck Tour. Batson also recently made his debut appearance at Stagecoach Music Festival. Life is moving fast for the multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar & mandolin) and he’s trying his best to remain a kid while becoming next up in country-pop music. “It can be overwhelming, this life, but I’ve got a lot of good people surrounding me,” he explains. “I’m still just a kid, though, and I’m happy about that.”

Fox Lake Drop "Real Fast" Video

Born in the mile-high city of Denver, FOX LAKE bring an elevated and energetic sound to the heavy music scene. The band formed back in 2017 as friends jamming in their basement, looking to branch out from the standard metalcore sound by incorporating elements of their favorite genres — hardcore, hip-hop, and rock 'n' roll. FOX LAKE continue to level up by delivering a musical brass-knuckled punch to the face that lands on anyone in their proximity.

The band will unleash NEW WORLD HEAT on Friday, August 1 via MNRK HEAVY. Pre-order it here or here.

Fox Lake just dropped the "REAL FAST" video. Watch it below

"'Real Fast' is the last single before the album release because we wanted to keep people guessing," Fox Lake say. "There are songs on the album that might have more memorable hooks, bigger features, or a longer run time, but we collectively agreed that we wanted to put out something that would hit like an uppercut and keep people curious about what the rest of the record had to offer."

Furthermore, the band states, "From a songwriting perspective, this was a rare case where the song was written and conceptualized using the sample as the blueprint rather than adding a sample to an otherwise finished song. We wanted to write something 'real fast' so the listener would never know what hit them."

Uppercut incoming...

Legendary Vocalist JOHN BUSH Announces Three Live Shows

After years of anticipation, legendary vocalist JOHN BUSH is proud to announce a special run of live performances showcasing the music he helped create during his decade-long tenure singing with Anthrax. This December, BUSH will perform songs spanning all four albums he recorded with the band: ‘Sound of White Noise,’ ‘Stomp 442,’ ‘Volume 8: The Threat Is Real,’ and ‘We’ve Come For You All.’

When asked about the shows, BUSH comments:

“I’ve talked about doing this for a long time – and now, I’m finally doing it. Fans constantly tell me how much those records meant to them, and how they miss hearing those songs live. It’s very humbling. The wait is over.”

The setlist will include not only the well-known anthems, but also some deeper cuts that haven’t been performed live in years.

JOHN BUSH Live:

December 13th - Los Angeles, CA @ Whisky A-Go-Go

December 18th - St. Charles, IL @ Arcada Theatre

December 20th - New York, NY @ Racket

Joining BUSH on stage will be his Category 7 bandmates: Phil DemmelMike Orlando, Jason Bittner, along with his long time Armored Saint partner and best friend Joey Vera on bass (Category 7 bassist Jack Gibson has a schedule conflict).

On the lineup, BUSH adds:

“These guys are incredible, badass musicians, and it hit me – why look anywhere else? They’re already right here. It was a total no-brainer.”

Category 7 will also open each night with their own blistering set before returning as his backing band for the Anthrax material.

This limited run marks a rare chance for fans to experience a vital era of heavy metal history — live, loud, and in your face. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 1st at 10am local time. Don’t miss it.

WE CAME AS ROMANS Drop Haunting New Single 'where did you go'

Michigan metalcore powerhouse We Came As Romans have released their haunting new single, "where did you go?," along with its accompanying official music video. The track, one of the final songs written for their forthcoming album' ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED' (due out August 22nd via Sharptone Records), marks a stark sonic departure for the band, embracing a darker, moodier atmosphere while exploring themes of identity, disconnection, and the ghosts of who we once were. Stream "where did you go?" HERE and watch the official video below. Speaking on the new track, We Came As Romans fontman Dave Stephens.

"Where did you go was one of the final songs we wrote for the album, and it came together in a way that just felt special. From the first few notes, we knew it had a completely different energy— way moodier than anything we'd done so far on the record. Where Did You Go? is about the haunting feeling of being left without answers. It's about losing a part of yourself. When we wrote it, we were reflecting on a version of ourselves we felt disconnected from—the parts of ourselves we used to believe in, the ones with better habits, more clarity, more hope. The production instantly brought me back to nights of driving around at night when I was younger and gave me this overwhelming feeling of nostalgia for a time when life felt a lot simpler. The nostalgia is real, but so is the growth that comes with asking yourself those hard questions,"

The track marks the fourth single from 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED,' following "bad luck," "no rest for the dreamer," and "culture wound." The album is a conceptual journey that loops seamlessly from its final moments back to its beginning and represents the band's most ambitious work to date, exploring cycles of death and rebirth through the lens of their 20-year career. 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED' arrives August 22nd via Sharptone Records, pre-orders are available now HERE.

We Came As Romans are currently one week into their massive Bad Luck World Tour, which kicked off July 22 in Toronto and runs through August 23 in their hometown of Detroit. The North American run features support from After The Burial, Currents, and Johnny Booth, with the band delivering explosive performances of new material alongside career-spanning favorites. Following the North American run, We Came As Romans will head to Europe and the UK this fall with Brand Of Sacrifice. The band also appeared at major festivals Welcome To Rockville, Vans Warped Tour Washington, Summerfest, Rock Fest and Inkcarceration and will also appear at Vans Warped Tour Orlando and When We Were Young. ABOUT WE CAME AS ROMANS

We Came As Romans continue to progress and evolve at lightspeed, maintaining a place at the forefront of heavy music and culture. Never content to follow, they seamlessly alchemize crushing groove-driven catharsis, spacey electronics, and arena-size singalongs into a sound that refuses to sit still—effortlessly moving between metal, alternative, metalcore, and rock.

The Michigan-born five-piece—Dave Stephens, Joshua Moore, Lou Cotton, Andy Glass, and David Puckett—first broke through with Tracing Back Roots (2013), which cracked the Billboard 200 Top 10 and hit #1 on both the Independent Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. Their self-titled 2015 album followed, debuting at #11 on the Billboard 200, cementing their status as modern metalcore royalty.

Following the tragic loss of original vocalist Kyle Pavone in 2018, the band has continued to honor his legacy with their 2022 album, Darkbloom, their highest-praised record to date. Kerrang! awarded it 4 out of 5 stars, calling it "a carrier for a knot of emotion, and a tribute to their friend." It featured career-defining tracks like "Black Hole" (ft. Caleb Shomo), now over 102 million Spotify streams, and "Daggers" (ft. Zero 9:36), which surpassed 32 million streams. Media outlets including Loudwire and Consequence praised the album for its emotional range, sonic heft, and unapologetic vulnerability.

Now, with 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED,' the band enters their most ambitious chapter yet—scarred, sharpened, and more fearless than ever.

PRIMAL FEAR Present Music Video For Anthemic New Single "Tears Of Fire"

Domination is within the metal world’s reach as PRIMAL FEAR premiere the official music video for "Tears Of Fire." The track is once again taken from their forthcoming record, which was already hailed as “absolutely stunning” (My Global Mind) and “the strongest PRIMAL FEAR album in recent times” (Metal Planet Music).

After ascending with clear guitar leads, the song erupts for the first time before vocalist Ralf Scheepers calls out one of the struggle-packed verses in his unmistakable tone.

He explains the intention behind "Tears Of Fire": “Heroic thoughts and words to make it clear that no one has to go through anything alone, but that there are always a few people by your side to go through thick and thin with you.”

But the presence of lament is of short duration: The energising pre-chorus lifts up those in sorrow and paves the way to the track’s hymnic chorus, leaving all of us looking into the future determinedly. Simply put: "Tears Of Fire" is another proof of the group’s world-class when it comes to writing ear-splitting music with a sensitive yet overall positive message.

Continuing the band’s successful collaboration with rEvolver and film maker Patric Ullaeus, PRIMAL FEAR also have shot a music video for their striking new single. The result picks up the lyrics of "Tears Of Fire" and shows the band in a rather dark setting combined with a hopeful blaze which portrays the song’s essence in a stunning way.

About PRIMAL FEAR

Going strong for nearly three decades, the band founded and still led by Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Ralf Scheepers (vocals) have never let down their global fanbase. Relentless and constantly pushing their limits, PRIMAL FEAR ensure that no two albums ever sound the same. After “Code Red” [2023] hit some of the highest chart positions of their career, expectations for the next release were higher than ever. Now joined by gifted guitarist Thalìa Bellazecca and former touring drummer André Hilgers, the quintet were more than up for the challenge. And as Domination makes clear, no obstacle is too great for PRIMAL FEAR’s powerhouse songwriting trio - Sinner, Scheepers, and guitarist Magnus Karlsson, who also rejoins the band’s live line-up after several years away.

From the hard-hitting opener "The Hunter" and first single "Far Away," to the uplifting mid-tempo anthem "Tears Of Fire" and the epic ballad "Eden" - featuring a surprise guest appearance by AD INFINITUM’s Melissa Bonny - Domination delivers on all fronts. Add in neck-breakers like "Scream" and "Crossfire," and the reflective, string-and-piano-driven closer "A Tune I Won’t Forget," and it’s clear: PRIMAL FEAR aren’t here to reclaim the crown - they’re here to prove they’ve never left the throne of heavy/power metal royalty.

Blue Grape Music Welcomes Flatwounds to the Roster + Band Shares "case logic" Video

BLUE GRAPE MUSIC, home to Superheaven, Silly Goose, Gridiron, and a host of other bands that are turning heads in the rock scene, is thrilled to welcome FLATWOUNDS to its global roster.

This up and coming four-piece siphons influence and inspiration from the '90s grunge, '00s hard rock, and modern hardcore sound and scenes. Fans of Alice In Chains, System of a Down, and other classic artists of that era will be drawn to Flatwounds' thick and gloomy guitars, gritty energy, and penchant for melodic hooks that take up real estate in your brain for weeks at a time!

Flatwounds — Colin O'Hare, vocals; Matthew Degnan, guitar; David Granger, bass; and Wade Coonrad, drums — are based in Albany, New York. The band has steadily built a name for itself the grassroots way — by self-releasing a series of EPs and by playing as many shows to as many people as possible. They've released three EPs — Down (2023), Raw (2023), and Drain (2024) — and they've shared stages with Jigsaw Youth, Show Me the Body, Eyehategod, and Wargasm (UK). It's an impressive resume for such a young band at the start of its career. It's also is a clear indicator of where Flatwounds are headed and that's to the stratosphere.

Today, Flatwounds have shared the video for the new single "case logic." Watch it below.

The song may sound like it came from another era, but it's no throwback. It snaps and snarls with a modern current of energy.

"We feel this song sums up the 'sound' of Flatwounds quite well," shares O'Hare.  "It's about the flaws of humanity and the inherent misery of the human condition."

Flatwounds are touring through August. The "we're all so blinded" headline tour dates are below. Get tickets here

Just in time for spooky season when the veil gets thinner between the living and dead, the maestro of horror returns to haunt North America! Claudio Simonetti's Goblin will be performing two special headlining tours of Canada and the United States. From October 8 - 15, the horror collective will bring the score of Dario Argento's 'Suspiria' along with a screening of the film for audiences in Canada.

Then, the band will cross into the states to deliver the sounds of Argento's 'Deep Red / Profondo Rosso' to a special 50th anniversary screening of the film from October 24 until the tour's epic conclusion in Los Angeles, CA on November 8 as one of featured artists for Future Ruins Music & Arts festival. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, August 1 @ 10:00 A.M. EDT at THIS LOCATION.

ABOUT SWOLLEN TEETH

The sound, the look, the atmosphere, the lore. Swollen Teeth are as much a ritual as a performance, summoning primal ferocity in clouds of intrigue with a thundering rumble. Each musical outburst arrives shrouded in mystery, enveloped by a sense of dread, with passion and purpose. Heavy percussion, riffs, punk gang chants, dive bombs, turntables, breakdowns, shrieks, guttural screams, and powerfully unashamed anthemic melodies coalesce in Swollen Teeth. The collective absorbs the raw intensity of the most potent subculture and spits it back with a determined uniqueness. They’ve spent countless hours in the lab, lobbing out occasional missives online like Molotov cocktails. Each of the scattered, chopped-up, and explosive clips unleashed to the world, culled from a handful of shadowy live appearances, built anticipation for the group’s inevitable ascension. They travel in our dimension but are not of it. This is otherworldly chaos without apology.

Swollen Teeth burst onto the scene in 2021 with their self-titled EP, a visceral blend of brutality and raw emotion that garnered praise from heavy music outlets and fans alike. Singles "EMPTY", "LETHAL" "CAR CRASH" and "SWOLLENTEETH" showcased their unpredictable, frenetic energy, which Revolver Magazine described as "brutal as hell." with Metal Hammer enthusing that "there’s an air of grotesque nu metal nastiness that feels like a re-vamped take on the misanthropic nihilism of Iowa’s finest." and Kerrang! musing "What's really heavy, masked, mysterious, sounds like it was made by complete lunatics, and involves Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson and producer Ross Robinson?."

Orbit Culture Release "Hydra" Video

Sweden’s Orbit Culture are releasing "Hydra," the third single taken from their upcoming album, Death Above Life, which arrives October 3.

The band comments, "With 'Hydra,' we dove even deeper into the heavy tunings we explored on our previous single, 'Death Above Life.' Lyrically, it’s a raw and unfiltered track about cutting ties — direct, honest, and uncompromising. The song was written during a period of intense stress and frustration and channeling that emotion onto paper felt like a necessary release."

They continue, "Visually, we drew inspiration from the vast, cinematic atmosphere of the Dune films. That same sense of scale is echoed in the production — distorted, low-tuned cellos, and thunderous drums that feel like something massive is coming. This is easily one of our most ambitious videos to date. We scouted the California desert to find the perfect location — no green screens, no tricks. What you see is real: Just four Swedish guys sweating it out in the scorching desert heat."

Witness Orbit Culture's journey into a relentless, blazing inferno that was produced by Industrialism Films, Vicente Cordero with additional editing by the band's long-time partner, Riivata Visuals, here.

Catch Orbit Culture on their "Death Above Life" UK/EU tour this fall with Gaerea and Atlas in support. The band is also playing Japan for the first time in October.  More info on Orbit Culture's upcoming shows here

The album represents change, a new beginning," says guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Niklas Karlsson. "It brings up a lot of good and bad emotions but it’s a big change for the better. It feels like a rebirth."

Hailing from the small town of Eksjö, Sweden (located between the revered metal cities of Gothenburg and Stockholm), the quartet (guitarist and vocalist Niklas Karlsson, guitarist Richard Hansson, bassist Fredrik Lennartsson and drummer Christopher Wallerstedt) have grown into a global force, melding together riffs that are equal parts thrash, death metal and industrial with arresting hooks and a layered atmosphere that invites comparison to Gojira, Metallica and Static-X while carving out something that is uniquely their own.

ORBIT CULTURE’s 2023 album, Descent and its subsequent EP release, The Forgotten topped many year-end lists in 2023 including Metal Hammer who described the album as: "a formidable entwining of modern metal’s most effective and exciting strands into an impressive milestone." Exhaustive worldwide touring and a steady stream of crowd-pummeling festival slots across the globe have set the stage for something much larger.

Orbit Culture is a band poised. They are the sound of metal in the most modern sense.

Virginity Release "Live At The Shroyers" EP + Announce "You Can't Have My Blood: Bad Jazz Companion" via Smartpunk Records

Smartpunk Records' power pop darlings, Virginity, have a double-whammy of new music for your listening pleasure. Today, the band unveils their EP "Live At The Shroyers" featuring six live tracks paying homage to their roots as a band creating music in their bassist, Jordan Shroyer's, living room.

Listen Below.

Alongside the EP release, they are also announcing a full length companion to their 2024 LP "Bad Jazz" which will be coming out on October 15th, titled "You Can't Have My Blood." The tracklist will feature songs from the two EPs released this year as well as a handful of additional tracks including an unreleased original and a few covers. There will be an extremely limited vinyl release with no plans of repressing once sold out.

Pre-order "You Can't Have My Blood: Bad Jazz Companion" here

The band has received critical acclaim from the rock scene's top tastemakers, including New Noise Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, Audiotree, and more. As fan favorites at Smartpunk's SXSW showcase and Florida's beloved FEST, Virginity have cultivated a core fanbase who are foaming at the mouth for these new tracks.

Speaking about the new EP, Virginity says, "Bad Jazz began with the four of us building these songs in Jordan's living room and so we all thought it would be very fitting to take those songs back to their birthplace and perform them in their finished forms. We looked to our friend Jason Kupfer from The Pauses to fill in some of the production gaps for the live session and we enjoyed it so much it seems that he's going to stick around with us for a bit. These tunes were built to be played live, and were recorded that way for the album, but it was important to us to do it for real for posterity to show the energy they possess and how they don't need any studio glitz to work just as effectively. This EP is a snapshot in time. This is what Virginity sounds like live at this exact moment. You can look at our Audiotree from 2021 and see how much better we've gotten and we're all so proud of that fact. We hope to keep producing live work every so often and to continue documenting our growth, not just as artists producing the best records we can, but as live performers."

VIRGINITY 2025 TOUR DATES:
August 31, 2025 - The Ox - Gainesville, FL w/ Jer and Gutless
October -24-26 - The Fest - Gainesville, FL

ABOUT VIRGINITY
Virginity’s “Fidelity Castro EP” was originally supposed to be a way to release the leftover scraps from the Bad Jazz recording sessions, but as the band continued to finesse the recordings, the EP morphed into something entirely different. It took on a life of its own, and taught the band it can operate more loosely than it ever has before.

Featuring 5 original tracks and a cover of one of their favorite Shins tunes, the EP shows the band finishing three partially developed concepts from the Bad Jazz sessions as well as 3 demos of songs that never made it to the studio, but showed just as much promise as anything that landed on the album. And while the basic tracks of the demos were recorded live and raw, they show another side of the band’s abilities and yearning to experiment with lo-fi production (a la a recent obsession with Guided By Voices) and attempt to not overthink something that already rocks ass.

About Whiskey Myers
Genre-bending band Whiskey Myers have played nearly 3,000 live shows to ever-increasing crowd sizes since their emergence in 2007. In addition to headlining their own sold-out shows from coast to coast at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Ryman Auditorium, plus performing at marquee festivals Bonnaroo, Stagecoach, Download and more, the six-piece was also personally selected to open The Rolling Stones’ Chicago stadium show. The band is poised to begin their next chapter with their highly-anticipated seventh studio album Whomp Whack Thunder arriving Sept. 26 via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records, with lead single “Time Bomb” climbing the Active Rock radio charts now. Their previous project, Tornillo, featured the No. 17 most-played Americana song of 2022, “John Wayne,” and followed breakthrough album Whiskey Myers, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Country and Americana/Folk sales charts, at No. 2 on the Rock chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart (No. 3 among new releases). In total, Whiskey Myers have sold more than 2.5 million albums and amassed over 3.7 billion streams while earning nine RIAA Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certifications as an independent band. Known for their high-energy live show and unique sound, the band praised by Esquire as “the real damn deal” has also earned sync success with features in Paramount’s hit shows “Yellowstone” (including an on-screen performance) and “Landman,” plus Netflix series “What/If,” Angelina Jolie film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and CBS series “SEAL Team,” among others. USA Today describes their sound as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country that has earned comparisons to the Allman Brothers Band and Led Zeppelin,” with Rolling Stone noting “it’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a perfect sweet spot.”

Beyond Creation Announce 15th Anniversary Tour

Before appearing out of the Canadian woodwork back in 2011, Beyond Creation had already undergone multiple permutations. But with the band's full-length debut, the Montréal four-piece quickly revealed themselves as the next evolution in technical death metal. With microscopic precision, The Aura splices together classic brutality and prog's insatiable curiosity with a refreshing knack for melody. The resulting triple helix has been encoded in the genre's DNA ever since.

As they prepare to return to the recording lab for the first time since being nominated for a JUNO Award, today, Beyond Creation are announcing a special tour to commemorate the 15th anniversary of The Aura. This tour marks the first time that the band will perform the entire album in full.

"15 years ago, The Aura marked the beginning of our sonic journey", says vocalist and guitarist Simon Girard. "We're beyond hyped to bring this album back to life on stage, in its entirety, for the very first time. It carved a lasting legacy into the heart of the technical death metal scene. We promise to bring every riff, every blast, every nuance roaring back to life at full intensity in celebration of where it all began and everything we've built together since. The Aura awakens. Join us!"

Dates and cities for this tour will be announced soon.

The Aura is now available on Season of Mist.

HOWARD JONES CELEBRATES 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF BEST-SELLING ALBUM, LIMITED EDITION DOUBLE VINYL OF NEW WAVE ICON HOWARD JONES’ “DREAM INTO ACTION”

In honor of the 40th anniversary of the release of new wave icon Howard Jones’ best-selling album, DREAM INTO ACTION, Cherry Red Records is set to release a limited edition orange-colored double vinyl on August 22nd. Dubbed “Farmyard Sessions,” the 20 track double LP contains 16 tracks that were previously only available on the bonus CD of 2018’s sold-out DREAM INTO ACTION Superdeluxe box set. These tracks were recorded at Farmyard Studios in the UK and have not been made available since 2018. An additional four tracks include special mixes and versions. The artwork contains previously unseen images from the original DREAM INTO ACTION photo shoot with Simon Fowler. Please see below for the double vinyl track listing. Please click here to pre-order;

Howard Jones’ groundbreaking 1985 album, DREAM INTO ACTION, peaked at #2 in the UK charts and cracked the US Top 10. It went on to spawn global hit singles, “Things Can Only Get Better” (which experienced a resurgence after being featured on an episode of Netflix’s Stranger Things) and “No One is to Blame” as well as “Life in One Day” and “Like to Get to Know You Well”.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of DREAM INTO ACTION, Howard Jones will soon embark on a global tour. The tour kicks off in the United States in September and will feature support from alternative pop favorites, Haircut 100 with SiriusXM First Wave DJ Richard Blade opening the show with his world-renowned DJ set (line-up for the United States only). The United States tour dates kick off at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Tuesday, September 2nd. Please see below for the global itinerary to date.

1985 was also the year Jones performed at Live Aid, Wembley Stadium, alongside such legendary acts as David Bowie, Paul McCartney, and Phil Collins. Earlier that same year in February, Jonesperformed live, keytar in hand, at the Grammy Awards from L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium with Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and Thomas Dolby as part of the “Synthesizer Showdown,” performing a medley of their hits.

Electronic music pioneer Howard Jones has been a constant presence on the international touring scene for the past four decades, playing live in a number of different configurations including intimate solo shows and dates with his full high-tech band set-up. He first burst upon the contemporary music scene in 1983, with his very English songwriting and pioneering synthesizers with “New Song”. His first two albums HUMAN’S LIB and DREAM INTO ACTION were worldwide hits. HUMAN’S LIB reached #1 in 1984 in the UK and featured the hits “New Song,” and “What Is Love?” In 1985, Jones released the follow-up, DREAM INTO ACTION, which quickly became a Top Ten Platinum album in the United States and featured the smashes: “Things Can Only Get Better,” “Life In One Day,” “No One Is To Blame,” and “Like To Get To Know You Well.”

Howard Jones has sold upwards of 10 million albums worldwide and continues to make new music and tour the world. Jones has performed on NBC’s top-rated morning and nighttime shows respectively, Today and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. His ubiquitous hits can be heard in such high-profile television series and films such as “Stranger Things,” “Breaking Bad,” “Watchmen,” “The Carrie Diaries”, “Superstore” and “Bumblebee”. Howard Jones’ most recent studio album is DIALOGUE, which was released in September, 2022. DIALOGUE is the third album in a trilogy of electronic releases from Jones with multi-media project ENGAGE coming out in 2015 and studio album TRANSFORM out in 2019. DIALOGUE garnered serious coverage in outlets such as Spin, Stereogum and more.

Get Lost In Kami Kehoe's "Kandy" EP + New Single & Video Out Now!

Ascending alt-rock talent, Kami Kehoe, has today unveiled her brand new EP, "Kandy" via Atlantic Records, Coup D'Etat Recordings and 10K Projects. The poignant five song collection arrives alongside the brand new single, "COME DOWN" and a music video for viral single "DOPAMINE". Fans can listen to "Kandy" now HERE and check out the premiere for brand new video for "DOPAMINE" / "COME DOWN" Below.

What began as a handful of cryptic teasers quickly erupted into a fan-fueled phenomenon, as early previews of "Kandy" exploded across social media, racking up more than 10 million views before the first track, "DOPAMINE" even dropped. A striking fusion of gritty rock, vulnerable storytelling, and fearless experimentation, "Kandy" crystallizes the next evolution of Kami Kehoe, an artist that has already dominated with over 25 million streams and 24 million TikTok views worldwide.

While "Kandy" is meant to encapsulate the euphoric rush of an all-consuming, intoxicating love, her latest single, "COME DOWN" strips away the high to reveal a raw, introspective journey through a heartbreak's aftermath. Offering a candid look at the process of letting go, "COME DOWN" delves into the lingering ache, self-reflection, and questions that surface when the rush of love fades.

As she ushers in "COME DOWN" and also celebrates the success of smash hit "DOPAMINE" and the release of her brand new EP, "Kandy", Kami Kehoe reflects:

"Releasing this EP feels unreal. I poured so much of myself into these songs, they helped me heal through one of my toughest heartbreaks and my biggest hope is that they connect with others who need them too.

There's something truly special about performing live, sharing these lyrics, and feeling that energy together. I can't wait to experience that with everyone this weekend at Warped Tour and this fall while on tour with Daughtry, Seether, and POD."

Amplifying her momentum, Kami Kehoe will be joining renowned rock icons Daughtry, Seether, and POD as the opening act on their highly-anticipated fall US tour. Moving seamlessly between the festival buzz of Warped Tour and arena stages, Kami Kehoe's effortless live presence speaks to her undeniable range and broad appeal. As she nears her largest tour to date, this run marks a significant milestone for the up-and-coming artist as she shares the stage with three of rock's most established acts on a landmark run of shows.

Carving out her own space in the alt-rock world, Kami Kehoe has impressively amassed over 25 million streams and more than 24 million TikTok views by blending a sultry, velvety vocal with a hard-charged rock energy. Since breaking out with the viral hit “SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD”, she has continued to evolve her sound—infusing shoegaze, metal, and hip-hop influences into her music while remaining unapologetically authentic.

Be sure to stay tuned for more Kami Kehoe news coming very soon.

ABOUT KAMI KEHOE

KAMI KEHOE has never been one to sit around and wait for permission. Although she’s only 21, the Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and drummer has been blazing her own musical path for the past 15 years, spinning a chameleonic, hard-charged rock sound into 25 million streams and more than 24 million TikTok views.

This unapologetic authenticity propelled her breakout hit “SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD,” from her 2024 album REVIVED (Coup D'état/10K Projects), to audiences around the world in stratospheric fashion. Almost overnight, the garage-punk suckerpunch ripped through social media at lightning speed, netting Kami 100,000 new TikTok followers a day and further cementing her as a rising name in the underground.

Now, that story continues with “SAFEHOUSE,” her brand-new single featuring Colorblind and Ekoh. Written in the aftermath of the Los Angeles fires, the track combines droning shoegaze, Deftones-style riffs and propulsive electronic undertones into a hypnotic blend of metal, alternative and hip-hop. It’s another bold step forward for Kami as she continues to kick down the guardrails of her sound – as well as another entry in her omnipresent push to Kure The World, a mantra proudly emblazoned on her bass drum and a mission statement that’s powered her songwriting since day one. “If I can change one person’s life through my music, then I’ve reached my goal,” she says proudly. “I make music for me; I release music for others.”
