Eric Church's 3 Nights at Red Rocks: Full Band Firepower to Stripped-Back Solos, Same-Day New Song & More
With an American Flag scarf given by a fan hanging loosely around his neck on night two-of-three as the band finished “Springsteen,” the sunglass-clad superstar had just downed an airplane bottle of Jack, and was clearly living in the moment as much as the audience as he grinned and acknowledged, “2012 broke out in here real quick.” It was a statement that both acknowledged the jubilance as well as the journey that Eric Church embarked on 20 years ago.
Earlier this week, arriving at the venue for the first time in nine years, Church joked with his crew, “I was a younger man the last time I walked this ramp.” Between reminiscing of his youngest son first attending in a Baby Bjorn and headphones to now standing side stage for “Holdin’ My Own,” Church’s teary eyes reflected the magnitude of the moment and mirrored its lyrics – “If the world comes knocking, Tell ‘em I'm not home, I'm finally holdin’ my own” – holding the crowd right along with him.
“The thing about these shows is you can’t really plan for or manufacture what happens. Either a night, a moment, a show or a melody captures it, or it doesn’t, and this week, every night – and I mean this – for me, it was magic,” Church shared after.
From staying up until 4:22 a.m. on night one and brilliantly deciding during the late-night celebration to add covers on night two like “Gimme Shelter” (during which longtime cohort Joanna Cotten mouthed to him sarcastically in between Merry Clayton’s chorus, “you son of a...”), to being so moved that he debuted a song, “New Old Me,” written that very afternoon on night three, his three-night stint was a creative filled sabbatical in Colorado.
Monday delivered a full-scale production, with a complete horns and strings sections plus a choir for Eric Church vs. The Machine. He played the entire Evangeline vs. The Machine album front to back – and then played 14 more songs. There were some favorites, including “Knives of New Orleans,” and there were some rarities, including “Lynyrd Skynyrd Jones” outside the state of Alabama for only the second time in the last three years.
“I’ll see you in another nine years,” Church told the crowd at the conclusion of the evening. Then he chuckled. “Nah, I’m just kidding,” he said. “Shit, I’ll see you tomorrow night.”

Indeed, with his masterful road crew tearing down that extremely complicated set and loading in a completely new one over the course of just a couple hours, the stage was set for night two – Eric Church vs. The ECB – to make its own mark. It was quickly clear that he and the ECB weren’t just playing the songs that have defined the past two-decades – you could see them living those moments again, too. They started playing “Lotta Boot Left to Fill” in Denver at the Grizzly Rose in November of 2006. Tuesday night, it was back.
“Damn, we were punks,” Church laughed at the conclusion of the song. But he also knew that being a punk is occasionally what navigated him through a career that has never been stereotypical, and also a key reason why he was standing in the spotlight at a sold-out Red Rocks. “Sorry,” he told the crowd with a grin, “I’m enjoying that more than I should.”
Except for “Springsteen” – which still came with a different “Born To Run” intro, because Church just can’t help but push himself to deliver something new with each performance – each of the 23 songs was different on Tuesday, making for 45 different songs played over the first two nights alone.
And yet, there was still one more show to come, with Wednesday’s finale delivering an epic clash of Eric Church vs. The Guitar. The scene was set early, with a heavy rain setting in just before Church took the stage and making for an incredible setting as he opened with the instantly recognizable first few chords of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” immediately letting the crowd know they were in for one of those special nights that wouldn’t soon be forgotten.
The rain came and went initially, but then it unloaded around 11 p.m. It happened to coincide with Church breaking into a 12-song medley in the middle of “Record Year.” By the time he got to the sixth song of the medley, “Tiny Dancer,” it was pouring. In “Through My Ray-Bans,” there’s a line that says, “Tonight we don’t give a damn.” By the time Church and Cotten finished “Like Jesus Does,” it was a borderline monsoon, and this crowd decided they absolutely, positively did not give a damn.
The unscripted backdrop of the night enabled Church to give a performance that instantly goes into his career pantheon. You will never be able to make a list of best Eric Church shows without the Red Rocks rain show in 2025. Likewise, you may not be able to make a list of most memorable Red Rocks shows from any artist without including the Eric Church rain show of 2025. Late in the show, long past midnight and nearly 30 minutes after Church had finished the night’s planned set list and was completely improvising, every single seat was filled as the house lights turned on to illuminate the crowd singing along to “Talladega.” At 12:25 a.m. on a Wednesday, in miserable conditions, there wasn’t a visible empty seat anywhere.
In total, he played 32 songs plus that 12-song medley, putting the total at 44 for the nearly two and a half hours he was on stage (and nearly 100 over the three days). Across the unique trilogy of performances, members of the Church Choir also got a sneak peek at the format of his upcoming Free the Machine Tour that kicks off Sept. 12 in Pittsburgh, Pa., as Church will meld what fans saw across three nights at Red Rocks into one show with robust musical arrangements, original band rock outs and powerful stripped configurations of his catalog.
“You don’t want nights like these to end, and I think that’s what I chase,” adds the North Carolina native. “Everyone who comes to our shows knows what I mean and it’s why they chase it, too.”
Fans can relive all three nights by re-watching the trilogy of livestreams exclusively on Nugs, now through July 27.

Miranda Lambert & Parker McCollum Announce “Band Together Texas,” A Benefit Concert for Central Texas Flood Aid
Texas natives Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum present Band Together Texas, a star-studded benefit concert on Sunday, August 17 at Moody Center in Austin, benefiting The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, the leading charity behind the ongoing flood relief efforts, and Central Texas Community Foundation.
The July 4 flooding was one of the deadliest natural disasters in Texas history, claiming the lives of more than 130 adults and children. As of today, over 100 individuals remain missing. Entire communities were inundated, homes and livelihoods were swept away, and families are still reeling from the devastation. Band Together Texas aims to rally critical support for flood-impacted communities and their ongoing needs as they recover and rebuild.
“One of the things I love about both our artist community and our community in Texas is that we show up for one another, especially in times of such great need like folks in my home state are facing after the flood,” shares Lambert. “There is so much devastation and loss, yet what’s given me hope are the stories of those that have come to the aid of so many. That’s what we want to do with Band Together: Texans helping Texas. We hope it is a night that helps with healing while raising awareness and funds for The Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation.”
Band Together Texas will feature performances from an all-star roster of Texas talent in addition to Lambert and McCollum – including Ryan Bingham, Wade Bowen, Kelly Clarkson, Ronnie Dunn, Dylan Gossett, Jack Ingram, Cody Johnson, Lyle Lovett, Lukas Nelson, Jon Randall and Randy Rogers Band.
In addition to the musical performances, notable Texans lending their support to the event include actors Matthew McConaughey and Dennis Quaid, former UT Longhorns coach Mack Brown and players Emmanual Acho, Colt McCoy and Vince Young, MLB star and Houston native Roger Clemens plus television host and Dallas native Chris Harrison, with more to be announced.
The evening will also feature tributes to first responders and flood victims, including stories of rescue and resilience shared on stage by emergency personnel.
“The flooding in the Hill Country of Texas is truly heartbreaking,” adds McCollum. “This place and these people are my community. There is a long road ahead rebuilding and even though so many families are facing the unimaginable, we’re Texas strong. Miranda is inspiring in both her music and how big her heart is, and I’m honored to be joining her for this benefit concert to support our fellow Texans and share a night of healing through music.”
Band Together Texas proceeds benefit The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, a Kerrville-based 501(c)(3) public charity that supports both urgent relief and long-term rebuilding following the floods, and Central Texas Community Foundation.
Tickets for Band Together Texas at Moody Center will first be made available via presale registration open now through Monday, July 21 at 5 p.m. CT at bandtogethertexas.com. Presale passwords will be issued Tuesday, July 22 via registered email. Presale starts Wednesday, July 23 at 10 a.m. CT. Any remaining tickets will be available at general on sale beginning Friday, July 25 at 10 a.m. CT.
Band Together Texas is made possible with the generous support of partners including H-E-B, Kendra Scott, Poncho Outdoors, Tecovas and Whataburger.

Whiskey Myers Introduce "Midnight Woman;" New Album 'Whomp Whack Thunder' Arrives 9/26
As anticipation builds for Whomp Whack Thunder, their first new album in three years, Whiskey Myers continue to peel back the curtain on what’s to come with the release of “Midnight Woman,” available everywhere now. Listen Below and pre-order/pre-save the album HERE.
Following the hard-hitting “Tailspin” and fiery lead single “Time Bomb” – currently climbing the Top 40 at Active Rock radio, further solidifying Whiskey Myers’ growing crossover appeal – “Midnight Woman” showcases a different kind of power. The track’s swampy intro explodes into a hard-driving groove laced with classic rock energy. Equal parts grit and seduction, it paints the portrait of a spellbinding force of nature:
“‘Midnight Woman’ is that raw, late-night energy you can’t shake off – part voodoo, part rock ’n’ roll fever dream,” shares lead singer Cody Cannon. “It’s about the kind of woman who doesn’t just walk into your life – she storms in like thunder and leaves you dizzy in her wake.”
The latest release adds to the excitement for Whiskey Myers’ highly anticipated seventh studio album arriving Sept. 26 via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records. Born from the piney woods of East Texas and shaped in the soul of Nashville during an immersive three weeks with renowned producer Jay Joyce – known for bringing edge, atmosphere and unpredictability to every project (Eric Church, Cage the Elephant, Halestorm, Lainey Wilson) – Whomp Whack Thunder is a strong statement from the multi-Platinum independent band.
“We didn’t set out to chase a specific sound – we set out to make a Whiskey Myers record,” reflects lead guitarist John Jeffers. “Jay pulled something out of us that’s raw and real, and every track’s got a piece of our story in it. This album’s about where we’ve been, what we’ve lived and the scars we earned along the way – and I think Whomp Whack Thunder might just be our most fearless album yet.”
Whomp Whack Thunder is the sound of a band at the height of its powers, marrying Southern swagger with arena-sized rock and soul-searching songwriting. Cannon penned all eleven tracks solo, delivering stories that hit with the emotional weight of lived experience and the firepower of the band’s signature sound to craft a record born of the road and shaped by nearly two decades of defiant, grassroots momentum.
The forthcoming album features the full force of the six piece – Cannon (vocals, guitar), Jeffers (guitar), Cody Tate (guitar), Jamey Gleaves (bass), Jeff Hogg (drums) and Tony Kent (percussion, piano) – with Joyce also contributing keys, organ and guitar, crafting a sonic landscape that stretches from greasy blues-rock riffs to gospel-tinged country soul.
Ahead of the fall release, fans can catch early previews of the new music with the What We Were Born To Do Tour, hitting a sold-out Nashville stop tomorrow, July 19, and visiting cities across the U.S. throughout the summer. Whiskey Myers also co-headlines 14 dates of the Live in 25 Tour with Tedeschi Trucks Band later this year in addition to headlining their own personally curated Moon Crush “Whiskey Moon” music vacation taking over Miramar Beach, Fla. Nov. 7-9.

Black Veil Brides Debut Video for First New Track of 2025 — The Blistering "Hallelujah"
On the heels of a successful tour alongside Baby Metal, Black Veil Brides are back with their first piece of new music since 2024's chart-topping single "Bleeders." The band — comprised of vocalist Andy Biersack, guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, bassist Lonny Eagleton, and drummer Christian Coma — return to their roots with the aggressive new track "Hallelujah." The Tampa, Florida based choir "One Voice Ensemble" also lent their talents to the recording. The song is being released by their label partners Spinefarm and was produced by Biersack and Pitts. "Hallelujah" is now available via all digital service providers here.
"'Hallelujah' is an important song for us, not only because it is the first track from the new record, but also as a signifier of what's to come for the band. On a narrative level, it represents the themes and ideas I am exploring lyrically on the album. I am fascinated by the current state of discourse and how often we seem to prioritize ideological certainty over the heart and soul of humanity. Over the years, we have developed a tremendous connection with our audience, which is often dismissed or misinterpreted by the 'scene.' We stand at a unique inflection point culturally and I want to be able to speak openly about how much I believe in being true to yourself over the fear of mass hysteria or in-group recriminations," explains Biersack. "When my grandfather's voice spoke to 'the outcasts' in the first moments of our first record in 2010, it was a sincere call to arms for all those who feel different. In many ways this record is the natural evolution of that same idea. This is the heaviest and most vitriolic BVB record by far but more importantly I believe it is the most sincere and honest record we have ever made."
To coincide with the new single, Black Veil Brides are releasing an animated video for "Hallelujah." The video is directed by Marco Pavone (The Black Dahlia Murder, Pink Floyd, Shadow of Intent). The band will continue to release more visual content over the coming months to support the new song. A teaser for the track got fans in a frenzy when it was released last week.
The official music video for "Hallelujah" can be seen below.
The band will also be touring in support of the new single. The song will make its live performance debut at Warped Tour in Long Beach, CA on July 26. Black Veil Brides will also be making appearances at Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY (September 20), Rock The Locks Festival in Umatilla, OR (September 26), and Aftershock Festival (October 5) before heading to South America for six headline shows. The We Missed Ourselves Tour 2025 will also feature Underoath, Silverstein, Senses Fail, and I Set My Friends On Fire. Information on all ticket and VIP packages for Black Veil Brides dates can be found here.

OF LIMBO Share Introspective New "Unplugged" LP
Long Beach, CA Rockers OF LIMBO are sharing an introspective side of their music with the release of the new “Unplugged” album. Known for their raucous live shows and hard driving, heavy rock & roll, this new LP showcases a more thoughtful and deeper dive into their lyrical and musical abilities. The album showcases a reflective, acoustic sound with a mix of original songs and covers of 3 of their personal favorites. The LP was self-produced and mixed at their home studio, and mastered by Brian Frederick of Long Beach Mastering.
The LP’s focus track is a cover of the iconic Radiohead track “Street Spirit”. The song delves into the seeming inevitability of troubles and strife in life – and ultimately finding solace in love. The ethereal vocals, supported by the steady acoustic guitar line resemble the constant beating of a heart. OF LIMBO’s Jake Davies says “My all-time most loved Radiohead song. I am so proud of Luke’s guitar work on this cover. He wrote some guitar harmonies that really take it somewhere special. Our friend Lucas Holter from Whiskey & The Wolves is featured with us on this one and knocked it absolutely out of the park with his vocals. I got chills hearing him lay down his takes.”
The video for “Street Spirit” was directed by Brandon Vancour. It was filmed on a beach in the Belmont shore neighborhood in Long Beach. Jake explains “Radiohead’s video for this song is one of my favorite videos of all time. We knew we weren’t gonna be driving an airstream onto the beach and slow-mo me falling off it etc. But we wanted to pay homage to the source material. Black and white, slow-motion moments - very dreamy. Lucas Holter gave a great performance in the video as well - Super proud of this one.”
The band is starting to play live shows in support of the album release, with a more extensive tour being booked for the fall.

The Iron Roses Return With "AGITPOP" EP Out 9/11 + Share "Class War Cheer Squad"
THE IRON ROSES, your favorite provocative punk rockers with a clear mission, are back with a new single that will get the blood coursing through your veins, your fist pumping in the air, and your brain thinking about how to be the change you want to see in the world!
Today, the band, previously lauded by SPIN for being "more ambitious both musically and thematically than most artists choose" and by New Noise as "a great fucking listen," share the new single "Class War Cheer Squad."
Listen below.
The band, now fully independent, will release the 3-song AGITPOP EP on September 11. Pre-order/pre-save it here. [[ADD LINK]]
Each single from the EP will launch with an exclusive, limited-to-25-pieces t-shirt, while a portion of the profits from each of these shirts will be donated to a charitable organization
The "Class War Cheer Squad" donations will be made to Border Kindness.
The Iron Roses are touring through the summer — headlining Europe and performing at festivals and supporting Bad Cop Bad Cop in North America. All dates are below.
"'Class War Cheer Squad' is easily the most lyrically direct song in our collection so far," explains Nat Gray. "To the point and going for the throat is the mantra here: '1,2,3,4, I declare a class war!' You don't get much more to the point than that, folks. We are all being failed by systems which demand our submission and praise while giving nothing in return, and where has it gotten us? The rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the middle class is effectively eliminated. The ruling class whine and moan about the pittance going into social service programs, but never ask where the next several billion in bomb money will come from. We are tired of the lies, the manipulation, and the scapegoating of marginalized communities in order to fear-monger people into voting against their best interests."
Gray finishes, "As punk artists, humans, and musicians, we find it our duty to speak up when many can't (or won't), because isn't that what this platform was always meant for? Just 3-4 simple chords and an axe to grind with power, authority, and oppression. Enjoy!"
About the EP, the band offered the following update.
"We began writing new music in the Winter of 2024, high from an incredible year of growth as a band, and just before the political climate became, once again, dangerously oppressive and hateful," shares Becky Fontaine. "Initially, the songs flowed out as they usually do for us: Anthems of hope in a world that feels hopeless. Songs of joyful resistance. Energetic, uplifting, sociopolitically-driven pieces that served to remind us all that there is a piece of the human experience that cannot be commodified."
Fontaine continues, "But when mid-January 2025 rolled around, we, like so many within our community, were absolutely devastated at the reckless power that took the throne. Writing became our only reprieve from doom-scrolling, grief, and anxiety. There were literal days where Nat or myself couldn't get off the couch, and days when songs were so frantically bursting out of us, one of us might be in tears and the other might be three steps from panic as we fought to tell the stories that needed to be told in the voices that needed to be heard. It quickly became apparent that this new collection of songs was being very strongly informed by the landscape we were in."
Fontaine further pulls back the curtain, "Every single day another horrific order was being announced. Every single day an even more bold attack against human rights, opportunity, equity and autonomy. What shaped itself from our work over those several months were songs that had a bit more frustration and defiance weaved into them, while still holding on to that tangible joy and playfulness that is The Iron Roses Way. It felt really good to be able to take that dichotomy and propel it even further. We truly challenged each other this time around, pushing and pulling each other through the painful parts of songwriting, fine tuning how to bring out the best of what two passionate frontwomen and four of the most talented musicians have to offer."
In conclusion, Fontaine states, "As the world did little to heal itself, and with the worst of humanity becoming somehow even more overt, we decided there was no reason to wait to bring some of these songs to life. We had already recorded them in Pedro's studio, and really needed to release these three songs in this huge moment of history as a reminder that it is OK to be angry and scared and frustrated. You can still fight when you are scared. It feels powerful to take up our protest into our own hands, and we hope that these songs provide the cheerleading people need to get back up, even when bloody and bruised, and show the enemy you won't be erased so easily."

Der Weg Einer Freiheit Release Haunting New Single 'Eos'
German black metal visionaries Der Weg Einer Freiheit are unveiling “Eos” as the lead single from their upcoming sixth album Innern. The song is a visceral meditation on destruction and renewal; it adopts the voice of a fallen soldier, whose final hope is to become one with the earth, a vessel for life rather than a casualty of violence.
Watch the music video for “Eos” Below;
Innern comes out September 12th on Season of Mist.

On Innern, Der Weg Einer Freiheit continue their evolution as one of the most emotionally resonant voices in modern black metal. Anchored in existential introspection and produced entirely by the band’s vocalist and guitarist Nikita Kamprad, the album presents six tracks that move from disintegration to reckoning and renewal.
“Eos” stands at the heart of the album’s journey. The song reminds us that from the grave of war, life returns rooted in sorrow, reaching toward light. Its journey begins in restraint, with guitars echoing in mournful dialogue. Then a pulse emerges beneath, a low-end rumble of bass accompanied by the drums’ ritualistic cadence. From this stillness, the track bursts into a maelstrom. Searing guitars and a punishing rhythm come together, presenting black metal at its most unrelenting. Kamprad’s anguished vocals tie the violence to its aftermath, rendering grief inseparable from transformation.
Within Innern, “Eos” functions as both accusation and elegy. The song reflects on nature’s quiet, uncompromising justice. Over time, life stirs in silence; the red, blood-soaked soil gives way to green. The Earth begins to dance once more. During the song’s final act, the war’s architect is overtaken by the same regenerative force, dragged down from his throne and absorbed into the soil.
The video for “Eos” was directed and produced by Paloosa Productions.
In light of their introspective new journey, Der Weg Einer Freiheit are embarking on a headlining tour of Europe this fall in support of Innern. Next year, the band will finally make their long-awaited return to the U.S. with their first-ever performance at Maryland Deathfest.
Der Weg Einer Freiheit stand now at the peak of a fifteen-year evolution.Their music is as concerned with silence as it is with sound, as shaped by introspection as by fury. As they prepare to bring Innern to European stages in autumn 2025, they do so not as provocateurs of extremity, but as artists navigating the fragile space between collapse and clarity. In a genre often defined by spectacle, Der Weg Einer Freiheit remain committed to vulnerability, transformation, and truth.

ENEMY INSIDE Unleash Music Video For Furious New Single "Innocent"
Just days before returning to the holy grounds of Wacken Open Air, modern metal sensations ENEMY INSIDE are proud to announce the digital release of their haunting track ‘Innocent’ alongside its visually striking official music video. Previously only available as part of the physical edition of their acclaimed current album Venom (February 28, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music), both the track and video are now accessible worldwide on all major streaming platforms and YouTube.
ORDER/STREAM “VENOM”
Being a fan favourite since its original release, "Innocent" dives deep into the shadows of human morality. With its cinematic soundscapes, thunderous guitars, and the emotionally-charged varied vocals of singer Nastassja Giulia, the new single continues the band’s signature blend of heavy riffs and dark elegance that has earned them international attention. The supporting video is a visual metaphor for inner conflict and moral duality, complementing the track’s lyrical themes with bold, provocative imagery while solidifying ENEMY INSIDE’s status as one of the most exciting acts in the modern metal scene.
The band adds: “It’s a song about guilt, hypocrisy, and the human tendency to judge others while ignoring our own flaws. Inspired by the biblical quote ‘Let he who is without sin cast the first stone,’ it’s a reminder that before we point fingers, we should take a hard look at ourselves.”

Following prestigious appearances at John Smith Rock Festival (FI) and Wacken Open Air (DE), ENEMY INSIDE will play a series of Spanish headline show in September before the group will close their 2025 live chapter at Full Metal Holiday (ES).

Awake The Dreamer Release Brand New Single + Music Video "Save You"
Awake The Dreamer are back once again, and they're not pulling any punches.
After reigniting their flame with the emotionally charged comeback single "Years Begin To Fade," the Stockholm-based, post-metalcore outfit offer up "Save You"— a towering and urgent anthem.
"Save You" dives even deeper into themes of inner turmoil and redemption, laced with cinematic textures, razor-sharp riffing, and the soaring vocal power of frontman Max Andrén. Where "Years Begin To Fade" introduced us to the band's rebirth, "Save You" punches through the darkness with raw vulnerability, showing Awake The Dreamer at their most fearless — and most refined.
Now bolstered by a powerhouse new lineup of musicians from acts like Normandie, Aim For The Sunrise, and Is It Tomorrow Yet, Awake The Dreamer are pushing further into uncharted territory while keeping their melodic roots intact. With a third full-length album on the horizon, "Save You" stands as another stark reminder: This isn't a comeback. This is a rebirth.
Watch the gripping new video for "Save You" below and brace yourself for what comes next.
Awake The Dreamer are no longer dreaming — they're wide awake, and louder than ever.

Avant-Grind Extremists SQUID PISSER Announce Full US Tour This August + Dates Supporting King Parrot with Bonginator
This August, SQUID PISSER launches a gut-churning month-long U.S. rampage with bloodthirsty Aussies King Parrot and the crushing behemoth Bonginator unleashing a relentless maelstrom of sweat, spit, and sonic bile. Along the way, they’ll infect the twisted chaos of Gathering of the Juggalos before closing the carnage by tearing it wide open for the infamous O Sees in Los Angeles.
After hurling their bile-soaked 2024 full-length ‘Dreams of Puke’ into the world, SQUID PISSER is back in the slime trenches, wrangling fresh abominations with noise conjurer Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Big Business). The new filth is bubbling just beneath the surface, ready to rip open your brain with mutated riffs and corrosive noise.
Frontman Tommy Meehan shares:
“After we dropped ‘Dreams of Puke’ and ‘Vaporize a Neighbor’ and toured a bunch with GWAR last year, we never really stopped. We’re wrapping new recordings with Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Big Business, etc), and we’re deep in the mixing phase right now—it’s some of the nastiest stuff we’ve done.
"This August, we’re heading out for a full U.S. tour with King Parrot and Bonginator, and somehow, we’re also playing the Gathering of the Juggalos? Our homecoming show is in Los Angeles with O Sees, which we are super excited about... It’s a weird, stacked, totally chaotic year, but that’s how we all love it...“

About SQUID PISSER:
Hailing from Los Angeles, SQUID PISSER is a grotesque vortex of hardcore, noise, and avant-grind—founded in 2020 by guitarist/noise alchemist/vocalist Tommy Meehan (GWAR, Cancer Christ, Deaf Club, Sweatband Records) and drummer Seth Carolina (Starcrawler), joined by guitarists Michael Armendariz (Duck Duck Goose, Melted Bodies), Raz Azraai (Cancer Christ), and bassist Corey Wolford, the band summons a slime-soaked chaos that’s as unhinged as it is surgically precise.
Two full-length releases, 'My Tadpole Legion' (2023,Three One G/Sweatband) and 'Dreams of Puke' (2024,SKiN GRAFT/Sweatband), along with the EP 'Vaporize A Neighbor'(packaged as a comic-book/vinyl set), showcase the band’s breakneck fusion of grungy sludge, grindcore intensity, and grotesque humor.
'My Tadpole Legion' launched with a cavalcade of guest vocalists, including names from Melt-Banana, The Locust, Punch, Nekrogoblikon, and more. Mixed by Converge’s Kurt Ballou, the album is a head-on collision of manic pedalboard wizardry, savage drums, and creepy alien vocals. Following that, 'Dreams of Puke' pushed the band’s sonic depravity even further—melding grind, noise rock, and mathcore into a dizzying, high-speed barrage. The album features even more left-field experimentation, unhinged tempo shifts, and grotesque lyrical absurdity. Visually tied together by the disturbing artwork of Gregory Jacobsen (Lovely Little Girls), 'Dreams of Puke' cements SQUID PISSER’s reputation as genre-melting chaos dealers with zero interest in playing it safe.
On stage, the band resembles a horde of mutant cephalopods: flickering lights, fuzzy coats, crowd-invading vocals, mosh-pit invasions, and pure disorientation. Vocalist Tommy Meehanfrequently breaks the fourth wall—storming into the audience, screaming face-to-face, and turning every set into a sweaty, chaotic ritual. SQUID PISSER has been tearing up venues across the U.S. while opening for bands like GWAR and Melt-Banana.
Described as “blazing and shredding buckets of hot vomit and creamy Skittles at breakneck speeds,” SQUID PISSER thrives on controlled chaos: blistering noise, savage drumming, and slime-drenched vocals that defy convention. This isn’t for the faint-hearted—it’s unabashed, unsettling, utterly original hardcore from the underbelly of L.A.
SQUID PISSER are:
Tommy Meehan - Vocals
Seth Carolina - Drums
Michael Armendariz - Guitar
Raz Azraai - Guitar
Corey Wolford - Bass

ABOUT BEARTOOTH:
Caleb Shomo first turned the pain of his struggle with mental health and self-image into music in 2013. Beartooth began as a living document, a diary, a journal of repressed rage and depression. Alone in his basement studio, screaming and singing, playing all the instruments, and self-producing a batch of furious but melodic songs filled with reflection and confession, the Ohio native stared into the abyss, initially with no intention of returning to the heavy music world that burned him as a teen.
A decade later, the different pieces of his body of work connect in title, sound, and spirit. As the frontman hits 30, Beartooth's fifth album, The Surface, completes this era in 2023. Even more importantly, it kicks off a new chapter filled with surprising optimism and just as honest. Depression is a sick, disgusting, aggressive disease below the surface. Caleb stands ready to bask in the light.
In its celebrated debut, The Surface hit #1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums chart and #5 across Billboard’s Album Sales, Alternative Albums, Top Current Albums, and Vinyl Albums charts. A product of Beartooth's fervent fanbase and radio-ready hits, the band also earned their first #1's on the Mediabase Active Rock and Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay charts for both "Might Love Myself" and "I Was Alive."
Like Nine Inch Nails, Beartooth remains a one-person band in the studio. On the heels of the introductory Sick EP (2013), Disgusting (2014) produced BEARTOOTH’s first Gold single, "In Between." Aggressive (2016) and Disease(2018) expanded on the desperation and pain, each a step closer to a balance between the blood and tears of classic recordings and the shimmer of modernity.
Rolling Stone heralded Beartooth as one of 10 Artists You Need to Know. The rabid response to Caleb's music demonstrated how many people related to his struggle for self-acceptance. Below (2021) topped the Rock and Alternative charts and several Best Rock/Metal Albums of the Year lists. Today, the Beartooth catalog boasts more than 1.3 billion streams across all platforms.
Beartooth began as both bomb and balm, an outright refusal to suffer in silence, weaponizing radio-ready bombast, delivering raw emotion mixed with noise-rock chaos. Other bands play the "devastating riffs and catchy hooks" game, but this music is the difference between life and death, and now, a sort of life after death while still here. The band Forbes sees "inching towards a tipping point of becoming the latest arena headliner" is now one step closer.
George Strait Sets Intimate Hill Country Flood Fundraiser: Sunday, July 27 at 6:30pm
In the wake of the catastrophic flooding that has impacted so many lives across Texas’ Hill Country, it is impossible to watch the news without feeling the heartbreak of this disaster. Entire communities have been devastated, and families are mourning the loss of their children and loved ones.
In response, Texan George Strait alongside businessman and Vaqueros del Mar partner of 15-years, Tom Cusick, are organizing a special benefit dinner and concert in Boerne, Texas, “Strait To The Heart,” at Estancia at Thunder Valley indoor arena.
“The destruction and loss in our community from the recent flood is hard to wrap your head around,” shares Strait. “Our hearts and prayers are with you all. The goal with this event is to raise meaningful, immediate support that can be put directly into the hands of flood victims without delay, while also honoring the first responders that work tirelessly to save lives.
Special thanks to our friends and fellow troubadours—William Beckman, Ray Benson, Wade Bowen, Dean Dillon, Riley Green, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Kyle Park, Hudson Westbrook and members of my Ace in the Hole Band—for joining me on stage to lend their talent and their hearts to this mission.”
Cusick adds, “The road ahead will be a long one, however the immediate need is so great that we didn’t want to wait. Together, we can show our neighbors that when hardship strikes, Texas and our Country stand strong, and we stand together.”
Due to the intimate setting, the event is limited to 1,000 guests. Tickets and tables are available for purchase (price points vary and begin at $1,000). Complimentary tickets will be provided to local area first-responders. Donations will be made to 501c3 Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund and distributed directly to affected families as well as established Hill Country funds.
If you’re interested in purchasing a table or tickets to Vaqueros del Mar’s “Strait To The Heart” Intimate Donor Dinner & Concert on Sunday, July 27, or simply would like to make a contribution to Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund, please email Vaquerosdm@gmail.com.

AFTER THE BURIAL Strip Everything Down on Crushing New Single; Their First In Over Two Years
Minneapolis progressive metal powerhouse After The Burial have returned with their first new single in over two years, "Hum From The Hollow". The punishing new track finds the band excavating dark emotional territory and serves as a brutal reminder of why After The Burial remain an essential voice in modern heavy music. The release is accompanied by an official visualizer and arrives ahead of their upcoming N. American run with We Came As Romans on their "Bad Luck" headline tour. Watch the visualizer below and stream the song HERE.
"Hum From The Hollow" showcases the band's signature blend of mathematically precise 8-string guitar work and crushing rhythmic foundations. Lyrically, it navigates themes of internal decay and psychological torment. Sonically, the single balances the band's insane technical prowess with a visceral, almost suffocating sense of fury that perfectly complements the track's exploration of existential dread. Speaking on the new track, founding guitarist Trent Hafdahl explains
"This song is one of many from the new album that have the same theme: pissed off. Sometimes you have to strip it all down and give the fans something to let their anger out to, so that's what we did here."
With Anthony Notarmaso's devastating vocal performance perfectly mirroring the song's exploration of psychological torment, Trent Hafdahl's innovative, jagged guitar work anchoring their sound and the unflinching rhythm section of Adrian Oropeza(bass) and Dan Carle (drums) providing a brutally heavy, unshakeable foundation, "Hum From The Hollow" confirms that After The Burial continue to be a band that understands the therapeutic power of pure, unrelenting heaviness who are unafraid to confront the uncomfortable realities of human experience through their brutal sonic lens.
The new single arrives as After The Burial prepare to join We Came As Romans on the highly anticipated N. American leg of their "Bad Luck" World Tour. Tickets are available now HERE. Full routing below.

About After The Burial
Minneapolis progressive metal heavyweights, After The Burial have spent two decades forging the blueprint for modern heavy music. Since forming in 2004, the quartet—Anthony Notarmaso (vocals), Trent Hafdahl (lead guitar), Adrian Oropeza(bass), and Dan Carle (drums)—have emerged as architects of the djent movement while consistently pushing the boundaries of what heavy music can be. Their signature blend of mathematically precise 8-string guitar work, crushing grooves, and Notarmaso's devastating vocal range has influenced an entire generation of metalcore and progressive metal acts.
With six full-length albums under their belt, including career-defining releases like Rareform (2009), Dig Deep (2016), and Evergreen (2019), After The Burial have proven their staying power through both triumph and tragedy. Their 2023 return with the emotionally charged double single "Embrace the Infinity" marked their first new music in four years, showcasing a band that refuses to compromise their artistic vision.
Currently signed to Sumerian Records, After The Burial have shared stages with everyone from Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive to The Black Dahlia Murder and Spiritbox. Now, with "Hum The Hollow" setting the tone for both their upcoming US tour with We Came As Romans and the dawning of a new chapter, After The Burial continue to deliver the crushing live performances and innovative songwriting that have made them essential figures in the modern metal landscape.
