Multi-platinum rock band CHEVELLE are back with their first new music in four years. 

Today, the band has dropped the video for the new single "Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)."

It's a gnarly, riffy rager with more hooks than a tackle box and alternately snarling and melodic vocals. Push and pull tension define the song, which leads to thrilling, dissonant breakdown at the end of the song. Put simply, it was worth the wait.

"This song is definitely my favorite song to play live off of our new record Sonder," says Copozzi. "The negative spaces and push and pull during the song match the negative vibe to the lyrics so well in my honest opinion. It was so fun to write this one. It was originally written as a 'horror story' of sorts, but it turned into something more raw and personal for me."He continues, "Realizing you need to walk away from a 'car wreckage' style of a relationship is hard. Pop punk x electro emo trio AIR DRAWN DAGGER have released new track "Bellyaches." It’s the fourth track from their upcoming debut album A Guide For Apparitions, set for release on April 4 via Long Branch Records. The accompanying music video was directed by Aaran McKenzie (While She Sleeps).

"Partially an 'end credits' song for the album, as we bask in euphoric, self-destructive thoughts. [It's] an ode to getting into a mess with your mates but believing it'll be okay in the end. Rising country singer-songwriter Cole Phillips has signed with WME for global representation in all areas.

Born and raised in Bridge Creek, Oklahoma, Phillips has quickly made a name for himself with his gritty storytelling, raw authenticity and powerhouse vocals. Influenced by country legends like Hank Williams Jr. and David Allan Coe, as well as red dirt and rock icons including Zach Bryan, Cody Jinks and Nirvana, Phillips blends traditional country roots with a modern edge.

Acres Share "Staring at the Sun" Video

UK band ACRES recently announced that their new album The Host arrives May 2 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here.

They share the new single "Staring at the Sun." Watch the performance video, which presents the band in its most natural state with instruments in hand, here. There's also subtle voyeuristic vibe to the camera angles and you won't be able to look away. 

The song showcases the band's quiet-loud dynamics — Acres' deftness with melody, maelstrom, and romantic misery.

"'Staring at the Sun' is a classic miserable Acres love song," shares vocalist Ben Lumber. "The record goes in a brand new direction, but we wanted a few songs to nod to our roots with remnants of our old vibe. It's about not being able to let go of someone or something who has a hold over you."

"The Host represents a bold step in a new direction for us as a band, we've always pushed ourselves to evolve with every album and never write the same record twice," Lumber explains. "This time the process was unlike anything we've done before, working with Landon Tewers brought a fresh perspective and added a new flair to our sound that we’re really excited about!"

Audiences initially fell under Acres' spell in 2019 when they unveiled the fan favorite Lonely World. After grinding on the road, they made significant strides with 2023's Burning Throne. "My Everything" reeled in 2.6 million Spotify streams followed by "Hold On" with another 2 million Spotify streams. Kerrang! applauded how, "Acres display their potential with some big choruses to match," and When The Horn Blows hailed Burning Throne as "a classic metalcore album filled with swinging hooks, rough riffs, popping electronic elements and lovely vocals that turn into monster screams."
 
During October 2024, the band hopped the pond to record what would become The Host with none other than The Plot In You frontman Landon Tewers behind the board as producer. The musicians stayed at his Michigan studio. Beyond enjoying the onset of Halloween in America, they expanded their sonic palette by incorporating elements such as drop-tunings and leaning on the producer's perspective, acumen, and wisdom.

Acres will remain on the road through spring on tour with The Devil Wears Prada. They will also appear at select Beartooth shows. They just wrapped a support slot with The Plot In You. All upcoming dates below.

Ne Obliviscaris Release Marathon Drum Playthrough

2025 is lining up as another memorable year for Ne Obliviscaris. Next month, the maestros of progressive, extreme and melodic metal are returning to North America in support of their latest album. Even after this tour ends, Ne Obliviscaris aren't done bringing chaos and carnage to the Americas. Come May, the band are performing three special shows in Mexico. This sprint includes a stop at Guadalajar's The Metal Fest, plus two headlining dates in Monterrey and Mexico City, where they'll perform Exul and Citadel in full. 

"We had such a great time in Mexico this past November at MXMF", Charles says. "We really wanted to make it to more cities in Mexico. We can't wait to share The Metal Fest and these two special headline shows with you!"

Touring factored heavily into Ne Obliviscaris' 2023 plans. The band embarked on headlining tours worldwide that hit new territories. As luck would have it, the return to live show activity coincided with the release of Exul and the band’s 20th anniversary. As one of Australia’s leading extreme metal exports, there is a distinct sense of gratitude from Charles and his bandmates. They’re looking forward to sharing it with fans when they resume touring. 

“Simply getting the opportunity to perform music that we’ve written on stages around the world to people that genuinely love and connect with it,” finishes Charles when talking about Ne Obliviscaris' 20-year journey. “There is something incredibly special about the energy that exists between an artist and audience at a concert and it was an honor to get the opportunity to spend 2023 connecting with people in that way once more.”

WANG CHUNG ANNOUNCES CAREER RETROSPECTIVE, "CLEAR LIGHT/DARK MATTER."

Some of the '80s biggest and most enduring hits were created by a single band, Wang Chung – including "Dance Hall Days," "Everybody Have Fun Tonight," "Let's Go", "To Live and Die in L.A.," "Hypnotize Me," and “Fire In The Twilight” – and now all those tracks (and more!) will be included on the new compilation, 'Clear Light/Dark Matter' via SING (distributed by Symphonic/AMPED Distribution).

Scheduled to release on Friday, May 9th, 2025, 'Clear Light/Dark Matter' reveals the many layers of Wang Chung's music. Available on CD, digital, and a double set on black or white vinyl, the compilation spans the band's more than four-decade career featuring a carefully curated selection of their greatest hits and hidden gems, including never-before-released demos and a new live recording. The duo of Nick Feldman and Jack Hues came out of the post-punk/new wave scene in the UK, and went on to achieve global success selling millions of records. Throughout their 40+ year career, they have released 6 studio albums and 2 greatest hits collections. They have had 6 US Top 40 hits, including a massive #1 single. They composed and performed the complete score for the 1984 neo-noir action thriller film "To Live and Die in L.A.” and also the song 'Fire in the Twilight’ for the legendary film "The Breakfast Club," amongst many others.

In 2024 Wang Chung’s hit song 'Dance Hall Days’ was featured almost in its entirety in the 2024 hit movie starring Anne Hathaway titled 'The Idea of You.'  'To Live and Die in LA' also got used as the theme tune for the John Mulaney Netflix show ‘Everybody’s in LA.'

2024 was certainly a successful year for Wang Chung, starting off spectacularly last February with the first US landing on the Moon since 1972. The Moon lander’s data storage unit had all Wang Chung’s album covers together with photos of Nick and Jack and their families uploaded onto it.

For two decades, Pop Evil frontman Leigh Kataky has needed to mine the deepest of reserves in order to drag the band up from the blue-collar grassroots of his local Michigan scene to stand proud at the top of the modern rock game. Soaring successes, bitter defeats… Leigh Kakaty has survived it all.

What Remains is the culmination and story of this journey with Pop Evil, laid bare like never before. Continuing in the recent vein of 2023's acclaimed Skeletons, the new opus is both sonically and thematically Pop Evil's heaviest ever offering; a thundering collection of arena-ready modern rock and metal hits in which Kakaty opens heart, mind, and soul.

"There are a lot of issues and things that I've dealt with in this journey of Pop Evil that I've buried for a long time," the frontman explains of this document of resilience, perseverance, and accountability.

Pop Evil were born in North Muskegon, Michigan in 2001, Kakaty drawing on the lessons of a youth first shaped not by music, but by high school basketball — leadership, team work, the drive to improve in the lonely hours put in at the gym at 5am, the will to win suppressing any fear — in order to fight tooth and nail for their break-out moment.

"I was hustling and learning every day to make my dreams come true," Kakaty recalls of his time playing local bars and slinging early EPs out of the back of his truck. "Studying never interested me. Neither did getting a regular job. A knee injury wrecked my shot at playing sports. Music was all I wanted to do from that moment, and I didn't give myself a backup plan. Pop Evil gave me a purpose, and a reason to get up every day. It became a crusade."

Lipstick on the Mirror, their 2008 debut, and its follow-up, War of Angels, brought acclaim and global attention; 2013's Onyx delivered the first of the band's nine No.1 singles and six RIAA-certified gold and platinum plaques, but also a period of darkness brought on by the grief of Kakaty losing his father. "I was completely lost … I had just missed the last five years with my dad, chasing this dream when I could have been with him. I didn’t know if I wanted or could do Pop Evil any more," he says. The band's 2017 self-titled album, opened by the smash-hit "Waking Lions" was written "pretty much to save my life" – but in turn “reminded me of the fire I have inside, and that God put me here to make music that could help people."

It's a mission statement enshrined in Pop Evil to this day — and which provided the spark for the genesis of What Remains.

“You're always chasing that one song that can connect with that one person," Kakaty says. "And that process has to start with yourself. There's a lot of personal healing on this record, a lot of things I wanted to get out for my own mental well-being. I'm finally at a place where I can confront my demons."

Sonically, the album is a riotous explosion of life-affirming noise; a vortex of scything riffs and gut-punch drum beats that regularly give way to Pop Evil's hallmark anthemic choruses.

"We set out to push boundaries," nods Kakaty. "Metal has always been a part of our DNA, but we've never made it such a focal point before. A lot of writing on this record has been about listening to what my soul is saying and letting the songs find their own path, rather than chasing a sound that might fit in on the radio. I think you can really hear the mood and emotion of the album's themes in the music."

 NU DELHI is a love letter to the band's home region and, to the many shades of hard rock and metal theory music represents. Bloodywood will return to North America this summer, touring with BABYMETAL. "BEKHAUF," the band's collaboration with BABYMETAL, was lauded as a "cross-cultural folk-metal combo" (Revolver);  "a marvelous collision of styles" (Knotfest);  "an absolute epic track" (Consequence); and "insanely good" (The Charismatic Voice). Watch the video here. ABOUT BLOODYWOOD:
Bloodywood — comprised of Karan Katiyar, Jayant Bhadula, and Raoul Kerr — craft hard-hitting yet modern folk metal sound has made the world sit up, take notice, show up, and sing along. The band previously announced its worldwide signing to Fearless Records and shared the music/video for the song "Nu Delhi," which offers some insight into the band's history, as well as its home city. 
 
Bloodywood first caught the attention of the internet with their YouTube channel, when multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer Katiyar and vocalist Bhadula were about to get deadly serious about their craft. Bolstered by the support they were getting, Bloodywood dropped "Ari Ari" in 2018. A Punjabi folk song made famous in the early 2000s remix boom in India by hip-hop act Bombay Rockers, Bloodywood pushed it further with help from the gritty New Delhi-based conscious hip-hop artist/rapper Raoul Kerr. 
 
With the additional accessibility from Kerr's English rap verses, Katiyar's inimitable flute melody, and Bhadula's powerful vocals, the band's first original song "Jee Veerey" dropped in 2018 and brought a flood of praise from around the world. With this release, the band discovered its sound and message. Songs like "Endurant" (an anti-bullying anthem) and "Machi Bhasad (Expect A Riot)" arrived in 2019 saw Bloodywood level up, adding Kerr as a full-time member. "We're trying to push the limits of the impact that music can have on the world," says Kerr. "Whether it's the battles within or the fight for a better world, our sound is meant to bring everyone together and win."
 
Joined on tour by drummer Vishesh Singh (a fixture since their early days), bassist Roshan Roy (a seasoned figure in New Delhi's indie music scene) and dhol player Sarthak Pahwa, Bloodywood took their music out of the studio and to concerts across Europe, UK and Russia for their first-ever tour.  The sold-out "Raj Against The Machine Tour" in 2019 was proof that an Indian metal band’s global online following would convert into packed venues. 
 
Even a global pandemic couldn't stop the juggernaut that was Bloodywood — "Yaad," released in early 2020 had deepened their storytelling. The band followed it up in late 2021 with "Gaddaar," taking aim at how politicians use religion to gain votes. Songs like "Aaj" and "Dana Dan" (the latter rallying against rape culture) built up to the release of their debut self-released album Rakshak in 2022. It was important to them to keep fighting the good fight, whether it was against one's closely-held inner demons or the decaying standards of global governance. It earned them a nomination for Best International Breakthrough Artist at the Heavy Music Awards in 2022. 
  
Bloodywood went on to perform to packed crowds and at major global festivals — from Lollapalooza India, Download Festival, Bloodstock (UK), Hellfest (France), Summer Breeze (Germany) to Brutal Assault (Czechia), to Fuji Rock (Japan) and American mainstays like Louder Than Life and Aftershock.
  
In 2024, "Dana Dan" even made it to a pivotal sequence in the Jordan Peele-produced action movie Monkey Man, directed by and starring Dev Patel.  Now, after more than a year of chipping away at their new material, Bloodywood are ready to unleash to the world their second album in the first part of 2025 showing the depth and power of Indian Folk Metal.

On the single, guitarist/vocalist Tony Piccoli shares:

"I wanted to write something that was aggressive, and utilized the 7 string guitar. (GCGCFAD for those NERDS that were wondering). Musically, I wanted some speed, a lot of double bass, and screamy higher pitched vocals. NAILED IT. Lyrically, I wanted the song to be simple; 'No One gives a damn!' and it's true. Scream till your blue in the face about something you care about, share your political opinion, opine about your favorite progressive supermetal band...no one cares! Morgan Wallen’s ‘I’m The Problem’ Due May 16; 2 New Tracks Available Tonight

Announcing directly to his fans first, Morgan Wallen shared the release date for his upcoming fourth studio album, I’m The Problem: May 16, 2025. With the album combining Wallen’s country, cross and dirt-rock influences, the release will appropriately coincide with his inaugural, all-genre Sand In My Boots Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama May 16-18. Having spent nearly a year writing and refining the tracklist from his farm just outside of Nashville with core collaborators, including producers Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome, the process was reflective for Wallen, taking inventory of where he’s been and where he’s headed – and not shying away from the past. 
 
“I have been a problem, for sure, and I’ve got no problem admitting that,” Wallen says. “But there are other sides to me as well. I’ve spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, ‘Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?’ I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it.”
 
Two new songs off the album arrive tonight: “Just In Case,” written by Wallen, John Byron, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Ryan Vojtesak, Josh Thompson, Blake Pendergrass and Alex Bak; and “I’m A Little Crazy,” written by Michael Hardy, Smith Ahnquist, Hunter Phelps and Jameson Rodgers. A rotating lineup of guests including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel join in direct support with Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley and Anne Wilson as first-of-three across select dates. Coupled with Wallen’s Sand In My Boots Festival, these 21 shows are the only place to see the superstar in 2025.

This year, Rob Juarez, the creator and producer of Lost 80’s Live, has brought together a powerhouse coalition of promoters—Nederlander, Live Nation, Mammoth, Goldenvoice, AEG, and WorldOne Presents—to expand on the tour’s continued success.

“Lost 80’s Live is more than a concert—it’s a celebration of an era,” says Juarez. “We’re thrilled to be celebrating 23 years of sharing the magic of the 80s, and this year’s tour promises to be our biggest and best yet!”

North Carolina Black Metal Outfits MO'YNOQ & UROCYON Announce Split EP 'Mo'ynoq X Urocyon Split 2025' - Out April 18th

Today, North Carolina Black Metal outfits MO'YNOQ and UROCYON are excited to announce their new split EP titled 'Mo'ynoq X Urocyon Split 2025,' slated for release on April 18th. To celebrate the announcement, MO'YNOQ has released the first single from the EP titled 'Hyperstitions' which is accompanied by a video, available to view below.

About the EP, MO'YNOQ shares:

In addition the EP announcement, MO'YNOQ and UROCYON have announced two hometowns release shows at Chapel of Bones in Raleigh, NC on April 25th and Static Age Records in Asheville, NC on April 26th.

North Carolina-based black metal outfit MO'YNOQ has made a name for themselves by combining feral riffs with a uniquely humid atmosphere that draws listeners into a pummeling sonic labyrinth. Influenced by the likes of Ash Borer, Nachtmystium, and Krallice, the band weaves haunting narratives from which audiences struggle to escape.

Since the band’s inception in 2016, MO'YNOQ has had each release further their widespread acclaim with their latest record - 'A Place for Ash' (2022) ranking #9 on Rolling Stone’s Top 15 Metal Albums of the Year. MO'YNOQ has now prepared an exciting collaboration with Asheville-based UROCYON, another powerhouse in the North Carolina black metal scene. Slated for release April 25th 2025, the split features four exhilarating tracks that promise to carry their message far beyond the southern hills they call home.
