Multi-Platinum Selling Corey Kent Wraps 1st Leg of 'Black Bandana Tour' w/ Sold Out Stops

Sony Music Nashville artist Corey Kent has spent the fall headlining his international Black Bandana Tour. With sold out stops across the country, the tour will take Kent to the UK in 2025 and, due to demand, the tour has officially been extended into spring 2025 with new dates added. Kent shared news of the tour's extension via social media ahead of wrapping the first leg. 
 
“Y’all helped make the Black Bandana Tour so successful by selling out a bunch of the shows, so we’ve decided to extend the tour into next spring,” Kent shared on Instagram. 

A road veteran himself, drawing inspiration from The Eagles, Keith Richards, Turnpike Troubadours and more, Kent brought his bandana-wearing Rock ‘N’ Roll spirit to Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC this weekend selling over 5,000 tickets across the three day run. The weekend set a personal record for Kent, with his Charlotte show on Saturday marking the most ticket sales in one night, and the Atlanta stop selling out a month in advance.
  
The Oklahoma native will be joined by Clayton Mullen, Lori McKenna, Lanie Gardner and Tyler Halverson on select dates for leg two of his headlining, Black Bandana Tour, which kicks off on Jan. 18 in Fort Worth, TX. The sold-out shows come on the heels of the Double-Platinum hitmaker releasing his sophomore album, Black Bandana, earlier this fall. Title track “Black Bandana” helped set the tone for the album Billboard calls, “music for those whose lives have been seasoned by rocky times." Co-written with Rocky Block, Jordan Dozzi, and Brett Tyler, the slow-burning call to stand your ground pairs tender country-rock reverence with a big-picture mindset, helping tie all of Kent’s struggle, success, and plans for the future together. The album was almost finished when he wrote it, Kent says, but he was happy it “derailed” the project.
 
“It encapsulates the journey. The reason we’re here is because we didn’t give up, and the whole record is a call to action against all odds,” he explains. “When the going gets tough and everybody quits, you be the one that stays the course and never gives up. I think there’s a lot of people that relate with that.”
 
Co-writing six of Black Bandana’s 10 songs, what Kent ultimately wanted was to mix themes of integrity, resilience and family with a sonic setting befitting the mission. Finding the midway point between cinematic electric guitars and heart-pounding drums meet a warm, gravel-road rasp, as Kent brings classic rock into the present tense. 
  
Now based in Dallas, the proud husband and father has become a decorated artist on the rise, growing from humble heartland roots into a Platinum certified No. 1 hit maker with 950 million career streams, and a black bandana on his neck. But today, that Black Bandana is more than an accessory – and not just the title track of his sophomore major-label album, which Music Row calls, “gently but unrelentingly uplifting.” It’s his rally cry.
 
Rising from the vibrant Red Dirt country scene as the embodiment of authenticity, Kent set his sights on Nashville as a teen, bringing his self-penned catalog of country-rock anthems with him. But after the pandemic coincided with the loss of his first publishing deal, Kent was forced to move to Texas and get a job on a paving crew to pay the bills, yet he stubbornly refused to call music quits. Honky-tonks and dancehalls on both sides of the Red River became his stomping ground, and slowly but surely, the black bandana spirit grew.
 
Fast forward a few years and the hit single “Wild As Her” proved he was right all along. An untamed tribute to a free-spirited stunner, the track re-invigorated Kent’s career as a now Double-Platinum-certified No. 1 at country radio, and the lead single off his major label album debut, Blacktop. Despite never cracking country radio’s Top 40, Kent’s trust-your-gut second single “Something’s Gonna Kill Me” went Gold (and is now approaching Platinum status), proving his message was connecting. And momentum kept building, with Kent hitting the road alongside Jason Aldean, Ashley McBryde, Parker McCollum and more. Next-big-thing accolades came in from CMT, Opry Next Stage and more, but even as Kent became the most played new artist on country radio for all of 2023, he kept the underdog, who-cares-about-conventional-wisdom mentality. And so did his fans.
 
For Kent, the point was that his fans have the same independent spirit he does, and he took that lesson into his next chapter. Settled into his ranch in Texas and intent on being fully present as husband and father, while also achieving his dreams, his second album is all about finding balance, keeping clear eyes on what’s important – and waving that Black Bandana for all to see.

Pistols at Dawn Drop Cover of "Last Christmas"

Atlanta foursome PISTOLS AT DAWN — Adam Jaffe [drums], Will James [lead guitar], Gabriel Cuevas [bass], and Jon Sookdew Sing [lead vocals] — have released their gorgeous, lilting, and sonically layered cover of WHAM's holiday classic "Last Christmas."

The band also shared the lyric video for the festive track.

"'Last Christmas' is definitely the one that stood out to us amongst the Christmas staples, and we wanted to make our own version of this beloved classic," shares the band. "But we didn't just want to make a cut and paste cover. We wanted to make a true Pistols at Dawn version, and between Jon's intimate vocal performance and Will's signature guitar playing, we were able to create a song that would make George Michael proud... With its beautiful string arrangement, this will be a welcome addition to all gatherings around the fireplace surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones for generations to come."

Jason Charles Miller Releases Deep Purple-Inspired “I Need A Rescue” Video ​

Jason Charles Miller has released his official music video for “I Need A Rescue,” the second video from his new album ‘Knives In The Dark.’ The song and video features guest keyboardist and vocalist Ellis Hall, best known for his work with Tower Of Power, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and Patti LaBelle, to name just a few. 

“The song ‘I Need a Rescue’ accidentally became a tribute to Deep Purple – Mark 3 in particular, the David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes lineup that did the albums ‘Burn’ and ‘Stormbringer’,” Miller says of the track. “I’ve often said that ‘Burn’ has been one of the most influential albums in my life, and I think it’s one of the best rock albums in history, period! Once Gary [Potter, guitarist] came up with the riff for ‘Rescue,’ the song basically wrote itself. I had become friendly with Ellis Hall through knowing his family, and he’s an absolute legend.  What he added to the recording, with his B3 playing and amazing vocals, really took it over the top.”

“I wanted to have a video where we are all just jamming the song, really vibing with it, so having my live band be in the video along with Ellis was super important to me,” he continues of the video itself. “Our director Andrew Fogel found the perfect location, making us the ultimate ‘garage band.’  Talk about going back to your roots! You’ll notice a purple tinge to the entire video, as an easter egg and a nod to the biggest influencers of the song!”

Released this summer on One Opportunity Records, ‘Knives In The Dark’ will be Miller’s first solo album to see physical release in Japan, where it drops November 22 via a joint partnership with Ward Records. The Japanese CD features Miller’s acoustic cover of Iron Maiden’s “Wasted Years” as a bonus track. 

Spin hailed Miller’s “gritty rock and country hybrid” and named him one of “10 Emerging Artists Shaping the Future of Sound” in a November feature, with Rolling Stone, Forbes, and even Nerdist and Comic Book Resources coming on board to feature the music and gaming crossover’s latest musical campaign.

Pop Evil Share "Deathwalk" Video

Modern rock powerhouse POP EVIL follow their scorching single "What Remains" with new, dark track "Deathwalk," produced by Zach Jones & KJ Strock.

The band shared the cinematic music video, directed by Sam Shapiro. Fans will plunge into the dark, fragmented landscape of lead singer Leigh Kakaty's psyche, unraveling the thin line between self-identity and survival. Kakaty confronts existential questions of his own mortality and legacy.

Pop Evil returned in August by showcasing their new sound with single "What Remains." It was produced by Wage War's Cody Quistad and serves as the dawn of a new era for Pop Evil, which the band promises will be its most sonically heavy. "What Remains" currently sits at No. 8 on the Mainstream Active Rock Chart.

The six-time RIAA gold-certified band, plus newly platinum-certified track, "Torn to Pieces," is gearing up for its forthcoming eighth studio album, set for release in Spring 2025.

Kakaty previously confirmed the band’s new lineup, saying, "We are also proud to officially announce the newest member of the Pop Evil lineup — Blake Allison." Allison is replacing departed member Hayley Cramer on drums, joining Kakaty and fellow bandmates, guitarists Dave Grahs and Nick Fuelling, and bassist Joey "Chicago" Walser.

Featuring 10 songs all co-written and co-produced by the Georgia native, Tattoos is “a collection of carefully crafted songs reflecting different chapters of his life,” observes Forbes, while GRAMMY.com notes Gilbert “inks another portrait of small-town country life.”
 
Gilbert and ACM New Female Artist of the Year nominee Ashley Cooke recently brought lead single and chart-climbing duet to NBC’s “The Kelly Clarkson Show” with a performance of “Over When We’re Sober.” Watch the performance HERE.

With about 90 songs to choose from, Gilbert carefully laid his Tattoos out with the help of co-producer Brock Berryhill. Some came from an all hands-on-deck weekend at Lee Brice’s Nashville property, with Jelly Roll and more, determined to write with no pre-conditions. Others found their way to Gilbert through friends who know his creative soul.
 
The result – predictably enough – is an electrifying mix of in-your-face aggression and roughneck reflection, but he was careful to put an emphasis on his early days, both in sound and substance, focusing on real instruments over synthetic effects and put to use in a variety of big-picture, small-town settings.

LAINEY WILSON SECURES CMA FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Lainey Wilson entered the 2024 CMA Awards as a host alongside Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning for the first time this year and by the close of the show was awarded two CMA Awards including: Female Vocalist of the Year, her third consecutive win in the category, and Music Video of the Year for her #1 hit song “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.” 

In her acceptance speech for Female Vocalist of the Year, Lainey shared: "I've always been told if you feel like you've got a gift, you're supposed to share it, and I think that means whether you drive a tractor or pour coffee, make people smile or laugh, whatever that is I think you're supposed to share that gift."

Killswitch Engage Announce New Album "This Consequence" + Band Shares "Forever Aligned" Video — WATCH❗

Three-time Grammy-nominated hard rock heavyweights and platinum-selling band Killswitch Engage — Jesse Leach, vocals; Adam Dutkiewicz, guitar; Joel Stroetzel, guitar; Mike D'Antonio, bass; and Justin Foley, drums — are pleased to announce their new album THIS CONSEQUENCE. KSE will also embark on a headline tour in March. It's their first tour of North America since late 2022, as the band has been busy working on the new material that has become This Consequence. UNFD Signs Dreamwake + Band Shares "Heatwave" Video

UNFD is thrilled to welcome Connecticut's DREAMWAKE — Bobby Nabors (vocals); Dave Pazik (guitar);  Kevin Jacques (bass); and Andrew Popolizio (drums) — to the label roster.
 
To mark the momentous occasion, the band has shared the video for "Heatwave," its debut single for its new label home. Watch it below. 

The song mashes up screams, synths, and sax, and it will assert itself as your new favorite song and genre!

"'Heatwave' is about that feeling of nostalgia when you look back on life and realize things will never be the same," the band says, effectively capturing a sobering emotion that ALL of us have experience at one point or another. "It's about those moments when you're stuck in the same place but everything around you feels different, and you can't help but long for how things used to be."

Dreamwake continue, "The song reflects that bittersweet tension of trying to hold on to the past while also knowing it's time to let go. Melodic and screamed vocals collide through the song, which is erected on heavy artillery riffing. There's also a gorgeous, '80s-inspired sax and synths woven through the track, making for thrilling and unpredictable listen.

Memphis May Fire Announce New Album "SHAPESHIFTER" + Band Shares Video for Title Track

OBSCURA - Announce New Studio Album 'A Sonication'

NAPALM DEATH and THE MELVINS trek across the U.S. this Spring, joining forces for the next chapter of their legendary “Savage Imperial Death March” tour.

The iconic bands first teamed up in 2016 for a six-week tour. THE MELVINS brought their unparalleled mix of punk and metal, while NAPALM DEATH delivered their signature ferocious grindcore, delivering an unforgettable experience for fans of intense, boundary-pushing music.

“Napalm Death! Melvins! What a dream! Not only are we looking forward to being on the road with our friends in Napalm Death, but we’re excited to have Dale and Coady both on drums once again,” Buzz Osborne shares, noting that this is the return of Dale Crover behind the kit following a medical emergency in 2023, and the first time Coady Willis will perform in tandem with Crover since 2016.

NAPALM DEATH are credited as pioneers of the grindcore genre by incorporating elements of crust punk and death metal, using a noise-filled sound that uses heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, grinding overdrive bass, high-speed tempos, blast beats, and vocals that consist of incomprehensible growls or high-pitched shrieks. THE MELVINS are one of modern music’s most influential bands. Having formed in 1983 in Montesano, Washington, the group - founded by vocalist/guitarist Buzz Osborne, with drummer Dale Crover joining a year later - has been credited with merging the worlds of punk rock and heavy music, forming a new subgenre all their own. Over their 40-plus-year career, they’ve released more than 30 original albums, numerous live records, and far too many to count singles and rarities. Decades into their game-changing career, German metal legends Kreator find themselves more successful and influential than ever. Its successor, 2017’s Gods Of Violence, saw them topping the German charts for the very first time in their career, a feat virtually unheard for a band of such thunderous intensity.

They returned in 2022 with fifteenth opus Hate Über Alles – which marked their first studio album with Frédéric Leclercq (ex-Dragonforce, Sinsaenum) on bass, joining Mille, guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö and drummer Jürgen ‘Ventor’ Reil – the metal titans are once again channelling an unholy heaviness strong enough to tilt the earth off-axis.

PARMALEE “FELL IN LOVE WITH A COWGIRL” TOUR ON-SALE NOV. 22

Rising towards the top of the country singles charts with their latest single, “Gonna Love You,” Parmalee announces their “Fell In Love With A Cowgirl” Tour, which will kick off February 13 in Madison, WI. The tour, featuring special guest Avery Anna, will conclude on March 22 in Edmonton, AB, Canada. 

“With new music coming early next year, there is energy and excitement around us and our whole team,” said lead singer Matt Thomas. “We wanted to bring that energy to our fans as soon as we could, so we decided to do a headline tour starting in Feb 2025. We’ll be bringing the party back to some of the cities we played on the Kane Brown tour as well as some cities we’ve never been to. Can’t wait to kick off 2025 with the Parmalee Famalee.”

Their friend and collaborator, Avery Anna, is joining Parmalee on the road next year. Called a “towering, soul-baring tunesmith” by Billboard Magazine, Anna first connected with Parmalee on “Forget You,” from their 2021 For You album and most recently, “Lose You Again” from her album Breakup Over Breakfast, which was released earlier this year. 

Earlier this year, Parmalee toured with Tyler Hubbard and Kane Brown on the “In The Air” Tour. DAVID ELLEFSON ANNOUNCES 2025 BASS WARRIOR TOUR DATES AND JUDAS PRIEST COVER SONG ​

GRAMMY Award winning bassist DAVID ELLEFSON has announced his BASS WARRIORTOUR across Europe for spring 2025. The tour will feature Ellefson and his solo band performing select cuts from his well-known catalog of Mega hits, solo material and other hard rock & metal favorites which inspired him during his 40-year music career.

To coincide with the announcement, Ellefson teamed up with AMERICAN IDOL contestant JAMES DURBIN to release a powerhouse version of the JUDAS PRIEST classic Metal Gods. The song also features Ellefson’s solo band of musicians including his long-time friend & musical director Andy Martongelli.

Ellefson states, “As we’re announcing the next round of Bass Warrior tour dates for 2025 it seemed fitting to push out a new track which so clearly identifies heavy metal music, that of our favorite Judas Priest! NEW WAVE ICON HOWARD JONES AND SYNTH POP STARS ABC ANNOUNCE MORE CO-HEADLINING AMERICAN TOUR DATES FOR FEBRUARY, 2025

Following a wildly successful run of North American tour dates earlier this year, new wave icon Howard Jones and synth pop stars ABC are set to return to the United States for more co-headlining tour dates in February, 2025. SiriusXM First Wave DJ Richard Blade will open the show with his world-renowned DJ set. The 2025 tour dates kick off in San Francisco at The Masonic on Thursday, February 6th. Please see below for the confirmed itinerary to date.
