Ryman Auditorium Celebrates 15th POLLSTAR Theatre of the Year Award

Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium was named Theatre of the Year for the 15th time at the 35th Annual Pollstar Awards  in Los Angeles last night. 

Named one of the “10 Best Live Music Venues in America” by Rolling Stone magazine, the Ryman (2,362 capacity) was first recognized by Pollstar in 2003 as Theatre of the Year and has gone on to be recognized 15 times with Theatre of the Year awards. Other accolades include Venue of the Year nods from both the Academy of Country Music and the International Entertainment Buyers Association, and Venue of the Year presented by the Country Music Association.
 
Known as the “Mother Church of Country Music,” Ryman Auditorium is holy ground for a number of music’s greats. A bucket list venue for many, the hallowed stage has seen the likes of Bono, Ed Sheeran, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Harry Styles, Kacey Musgraves, Lizzo, Marcus Mumford and Noah Kahan, to name a few. The Ryman is known around the globe equally for its world-class acoustics and history-making contributions to the live music industry.

Built in 1892, Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium hosted over 250 shows and 9 residencies last year. Nita Strauss Announces March 2024 U.S. Headline Tour Dates

It's been quite a busy winter for guitar legend NITA STRAUSS and she is showing ZERO signs of slowing down. In fact, she continues to ramp up for 2024!

Strauss is currently on the second leg of a national North American tour with Mammoth WVH, supporting her most recent solo album The Call of the Void, out now via Sumerian Records. Get it here. She is also is fresh off a televised performance of The National Anthem prior to NASCAR's 2024 Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum.

Today, the Los Angeles-born guitarist has announced a slate of U.S. headline tour dates set for March 2024.

Thy Art Is Murder Announce Spring 2024 Headline North American Tour

Australia's extreme metal titans Thy Art Is Murder will return to North America for a headline tour this Spring. It's the first North American tour in support of the new album Godlike, out now. Get it here.

The tour kicks off on April 11 at L'Olympia in Montreal and runs through May 11 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. Support acts are Angelmaker, Signs of the Swarm, and Snuffed on Sight.

A Georgia Southern University alum, Leatherwood began honing his craft in college, playing local venues and fostering his country music repertoire. At Georgia Southern, he formed his band in late 2021 and began playing all around the Southeast.
 
After graduating college, he competed on the NBC hit television show The Voice and was crowned the Season 22 winner in December of 2022. Following his success on The Voice, Leatherwood began pursuing a full-time music career, signing with Republic Records and Universal Music Group Nashville in October 2023.

About Bryce Leatherwood:
Bryce Leatherwood is a 23-year-old singer/songwriter who aims to carry the torch of country music and continue the legacy of legends prior. Bryce was born and raised in Woodstock, GA, and his passion for music began at an early age. Working on his grandfather’s farm every summer, Bryce was exposed to the classic country hits of George Jones, Merle Haggard and Conway Twitty. Soon thereafter, Bryce began picking up guitars and playing the traditional country music that still inspires him today. Bryce’s music career began to blossom in Statesboro, GA, where he attended Georgia Southern University. During his time in Statesboro, Bryce played college venues and continued to hone his stage presence and his country music repertoire. In late 2021 while still enrolled in college, Bryce formed his band and began playing all around the Southeast. Bryce’s goal was to take the stage and play the best of country music to all ages and audiences. After graduating college, Bryce set his mind on a new task. NITE’s debut full-length Darkness Silence Mirror Flame, released in March 2020 by Creator-Destructor Records, earned widespread praise. It showcased their fist-raising classic heavy metal that nearly every fan of the genre once fell in love with, but with a twisted and shadowy edge that the titans of old could never imagine. "This is one of the first songs that helped bridge me into heavier music. When you're a young kid in the 2000s listening to the radio you've obviously heard of Creed. So your parents buy you their new album for Christmas. The first song you hear is "Bullets" and something awakens inside of you. That's the only way I can describe it. It was such a mind blowing song to me at the time because I thought I had known who Creed was and what they sounded like.. but apparently I was wrong. In some way it showed me the potential a band has in expanding their arsenal of sound. Years later and that song still resonates with me and I get chills every time I listen to it. The song is already metal as hell so we wanted to give it the full outfit and go to town with our version of it," says Johnny DiCarlo.

NeverWake is a haunting sinew of hard rock and metalcore out of Pittsburgh PA. Captivating melodies are entwined with heavy grooves that refuse to leave the mind. American Gothic purveyors WAYFARER will be embarking on a full North American headlining tour this spring in support of their critically-acclaimed new album, 'American Gothic.' The trek will kick off on April 26 in Jackson, WY and will make its way around the continent before concluding on May 24 in Lincoln, NE with support from SONJA as well as special appearances by VALDRIN on select dates. LAINEY WILSON TAKES HOME HER FIRST GRAMMY® FOR BEST COUNTRY ALBUM WITH BELL BOTTOM COUNTRY

Broken Bow Records/BMG Nashville's Lainey Wilson reached a new pinnacle in her record breaking career when she was awarded the Best Country Album GRAMMY®for Bell Bottom Country.  The album, which features #1 hits "Heart Like a Truck" and "Watermelon Moonshine" alongside her current single "Wildflowers and Wild Horses", has served to be a truly life-changing record for the Louisiana native as it is the reigning Album of the Year for both the Academy of Country Music (ACM) & Country Music Association (CMA) Awards.

Craig Morgan sworn in as Warrant Officer in the Army Reserve

Country music star and soldier Craig Morgan received his appointment to Warrant Officer 1 in the Army Reserve on Saturday, February 3. The swearing-in took place at Huntsville, Alabama’s Redstone Arsenal with Chief Warrant Officer 3 William R. Green, along with John Clement (Deputy State Director/Military Advisor, U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn) and Craig’s wife, Karen Greer, officiating the ceremony while surrounded by family and friends. 

Having previously served seventeen years in the Army and Army Reserve with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions, the country music star, author and patriot returned to service last year. Craig was again sworn-in to the Army Reserve on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry on July 29, 2023. Watch the historic moment HERE. 

Following his swearing-in as Warrant Officer 1 on Saturday, Craig then traveled to Orlando, Florida where he performed the national anthem in uniform at 2024’s NFL Pro Bowl on Sunday, February 4 from Camping World Stadium. Watch the performance HERE.

You can't keep a rock 'n' roll legend off the airwaves!

Rock 'n' roll Hall of Famer ALICE COOPER is relaunching his long-running radio show today, Monday, February 5 with a new name and a new syndication partner.

"Alice's Attic" will now be syndicated via Superadio.

Cooper will be working with the same creative team from his long-running and much-loved "Nights With Alice Cooper" radio show and the new program will feature a curated mix of classic and some obscure rock, with an occasional "future classic" song, plus Cooper's stories and commentary about the music and artists he features.

New shows will air for five hours Monday through Thursday, with reconfigured shows on weekends. Local radio stations throughout the U.S. and Australia are already airing the show, with additional stations there, as well as in Canada and the UK expected to sign on shortly.

"To all of my insane radio minions, I'm BACK. And if you thought 20 years of 'Nights With Alice Cooper' was weird, just wait until you get into
'Alice's Attic!' Just think about who or what could be lurking in all these dusty old boxes. We've got the same team behind the new show and so you'll find the show fairly familiar, but we're all looking forward to getting a little more creative with introducing new elements to keep things from getting stale. Speaking of stale… what IS that smell??!"

2024 will be a busy year for Cooper, as he has lots of international touring on deck. He will be headed to Australia in April and to Europe in June and July.

North Carolina’s stellar progressive metal band STELLAR CIRCUITS has announced the release of a Deluxe Edition of their breakthrough album, Sight To Sound, out now from Nuclear Blast Records. The critically praised record has been digitally reissued with 4 unreleased bonus tracks, just ahead of their first European tour with PERSEFONE, HYPNO5E and LAMPR3A in February/March and U.S. dates with CALVA LOUISE and VUKOVI in May.

Formed in 2015, Stellar Circuits emerged to combine the conceptual polarities of groove-oriented music with progressive-minded technicality. Sight to Sound, Stellar Circuits’ sophomore release, sees the band working once again with Jamie King to convey their growth and expansion on what they do best. Vocalist frontman Ben Beddick highlights the forward momentum, relaying how the band “wanted to push past the point of comfort when writing this music. To make something real and honest that we can all stand by.”

Release Day is upon us, and Enterprise Earth has unleashed upon the world their hotly-anticipated new album 'Death: An Anthology' (via MNRK Heavy). In celebration of the news, the band shared their intensely brutal yet deeply poignant latest offering "Blood and Teeth" along with the accompanying music video. Speaking about "Blood and Teeth", the band shared:

"'Blood and Teeth' lays out a gut-wrenching story of poisonous attachment, a cycle of self-harm and submission to the tragic realization of how much pain one can put themselves through for the sake of another’s admiration. Musically, this is the most elaborate song on 'Death: An Anthology'.

Moving through a clean piano intro, to blazing leads over a catchy groove, to death metal riffage, to a catchy metalcore adjacent chorus, to a dare we say sexy bridge, only to unleash the filthiest breakdown of the album at the end. The video is a direct visual representation of this and we hope it evokes an emotional response similar to the ones felt in its production."

When asked about the album, guitarist, backing vocalist, and producer Gabe Mangold commented:

"I consider 'Death: An Anthology' to be our most expressive, intense, diverse, and finest work that Enterprise Earth has ever achieved so far and I hope I can say that with every body of music that we release. More than anything else, we share death in common. This universal eventuality unites us. In an evolutionary sense, it effectively ensures our equality. No matter who you are, you will die. Enterprise Earth explore death from a different perspective altogether. Rather than turn away from it, the U.S. quartet—Gabe Mangold [guitar, backing vocals, production], Brandon Zackey [drums], Travis Worland [vocals], and Dakota Johnson [bass]—face it head-on with their fifth full-length offering, DEATH: AN ANTHOLOGY [MNRK HEAVY]. Against an apocalyptic soundtrack of battering ram double bass drums, gut-punching guitars, and disarmingly dynamic vocals, the group present their most immersive and inimitable vision yet.

“The album is tied together by the overarching concept of death,” Travis states. “It’s easy to think of death as a separation of consciousness from the body, but we’re delving into the death of self, individuality, and relationships—whether romantic or platonic. Dying takes many forms. I grew up extremely religious, so death has always been on my mind. In any religion, the afterlife is the umbrella for all of your beliefs. I tend to think of death from a more philosophical standpoint these days.”

The band have always incited mosh pits and thought in equal measure. Since emerging during 2014, Enterprise Earth have logged two back-to-back debuts in the Top 10 of the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart, while Loudwire cited Luciferous among the “50 Best Metal Albums of 2019.” Hysteria Mag heralded 2022’s The Chosen as “a veritable masterclass in experimentation and reinvention that shows a highly skilled band transcending its roots and making steps to become leaders of a field still being created,” while Metal Injection summed it up as “a strong statement.” Plus having toured with the likes of Thy Art Is Murder, Dying Fetus, Chelsea Grin, Fit For An Autopsy, Fallujah, Within Destruction, and more.

With Gabe once again in the producer’s chair, the musicians holed up in a Lake Tahoe cabin for nine days where they penned the bulk of DEATH: AN ANTHOLOGY. It marked the first time this lineup wrote together (and in-person) as well as with Travis on vocal duties.

“We fed off one another’s energy,” recalls Gabe. “These songs felt cohesive because of that. We all had a hand in the composition.”

In the end, death may be inevitable, but you can rely on Enterprise Earth for a release in the meantime.

“We wanted to make an album that feels like who we are as a collective,” the band agreed. “On the one hand, we hope you have fun listening to it. On the other, just know, ‘Death is real and it comes for us all’. One day, we won’t be here anymore. While we’re alive, we want to enjoy it.”

One of today's most theatrical rockers, Wicked, has announced that February 2nd will mark the release of their newest single and video, "Gorgeous" – taken from the group's upcoming full-length, 'Sunburn.' 
 
As part of the band's cross country road trip from NY to California, the video shoot for "Gorgeous" landed singer/guitarist Chad Michael, guitarist Scotty V, bassist Danny, and drummer Gunnar in the LA Barbie dream house owned by Vogue photographer Jaime Nelson. The song touches on the relatable heart string of eternal lasting love after a love-lost break up and all the confusion that goes along with it.

Iconic music mavericks KMFDM have released their much-anticipated album 'LET GO' via Metropolis Records. "I originally wrote and recorded this song just as an anniversary present for my boyfriend, Jaron, back in 2020," shares signer Casandra Carson. "I never intended on releasing it publicly since it was a gift and something personal, but after sharing it with our friends and family, they all convinced me the world needed to hear it, too. It's a bit of a step outside of Paralandra's usual high-energy rock sound, but when we we were in the studio last year, we played it for Elvis Baskette and proposed doing a ballad on this record, and he absolutely loved it! We added an extra bridge and a guitar solo, and ended up making this song something much more beautiful than I had ever envisioned. I couldn't be more proud finally to be sharing this with the world."

ABOUT PARALANDRA:
Paralandra formed in the summer of 2013 when Casandra Carson and her dad, Paul Carson, began writing songs together to play a one-time event at their local county 4th of July celebration. The response was so positive, and they enjoyed it so much, they decided to continue booking shows and writing songs. They recorded and released a homemade CD titled Rise Up, which sold over 1,000 copies at local shows. Shortly after, friend and local musician, Sawyer Rikard, joined the band on bass guitar in 2015, bringing their stage sound and performance to another level. In March of 2016, they released a follow-up EP, All Fall Down, which debuted #1 on the BIllboard Heatseekers chart. They soon began touring and being invited to festivals such as Rocklahoma, SXSW, Rockfest, Dirtfest, and Loud in Lima.

In 2018, they joined forces with Legend Recordings, and released another EP, Ascension, which became their biggest release yet with singles "Back to Life" and "Killer Queen" landing on the radio. Shortly after, they added local powerhouse drummer (and childhood friend of Sawyer), Dakota Watson, to form the rhythm section Casandra, Paul, and Sawyer had always dreamed of. In 2019, they recorded standalone single "Love Will Win" with producer/videographer, Jake Jones, which gained even more radio play, and placed them on numerous national tours; supporting artists such as Tantric, Saliva, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dokken, and being added to the KISS Kruise and NAMM Show. 

The band continued to write, record, livestream, and perform wherever they could during the 2020 pandemic, and only continued to gain traction and fans from all over the world. Reaching out on a whim, they won over the attention of renowned producer/songwriter, Elvis Baskette, and shortly thereafter, entered the studio to record their first professionally made, full length album, Street Magic, in 2021. This release proved to be a monumental success, skyrocketing their audience with over 5 million views and streams across all platforms. Radio singles from this release alone include "For the Record," "Despicable," "Repeat Offender," "Can’t Quench the Fire," and "Only Human."

Paralandra have since toured the country on multiple headlining runs, and is constantly supporting iconic bands such as Warrant, Lita Ford, Firehouse, Last in Line, and countless others with no end in sight. They re-entered the studio with Elvis Baskette in 2023 and recorded their second studio album, which is due April 4. They plan for this release to be just as big, if not bigger than the last, as they continue to record, write, tour, and work tirelessly to build their brand, and change the direction of rock music to be a force for good in this world. 

MARK DALY RELEASES NEW SINGLE “I WANNA BE MORE” – ON TOUR NOW WITH MR. BIG!

Mark Daly is proud to announce the release of his new single, “I Wanna Be More.”The infectious rocker is the debut track from Daly’s upcoming album Devil’s Arms - due for release this spring via One Opportunity Records – and has been a crowd favorite on his current tour in direct support of the rock supergroup Mr. Big.

“’I Wanna Be More’ is an incredibly important song to me, and its release comes at the perfect time,” says Daly of the track. “My songwriting has matured a lot over the last few years - I’ve tapped into a much more honest approach, I’m writing from the heart, and I think the raw emotion that so many people can relate to is even more pronounced. The track goes live on all streaming platforms February 2, and a limited-edition CD pressing of the album is available on tour (see complete dates below). Devil’s Armsis produced by Brian Virtue, best known for his work with Audioslave, Jane’s Addiction, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Deftones, and includes a duet with Dead Sara frontwoman Emily Armstrong.

Devil’s Arms is the follow-up to the maxi-single Drop Dead, which came on the heels of his debut solo EP Nothing to Lose. Daly’s music is gritty, raw and energetic. His post-grunge and classic rock influences combine to create his dynamic signature modern-rock sound.

Mark Daly launched a three-week U.S. tour in January in direct support of Mr. Big.The Irish rocker supports the band throughout the Midwest and Northeast, while also headlining his own shows, including a marquee performance February 8, at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.

Hailing from Cork, Ireland, Daly is no newcomer to American soil, having completed numerous domestic tours with heavyweights including Candlebox, Queensrÿche, and Queensrÿche’s former frontman, Geoff Tate. His current run kicked off Thursday, January 25, with a headlining show at Belle and the Bear, in Cincinnati, OH, and is highlighted by his West Point show, and a New York City performance with Mr. Big on February 6 at Sony Hall.

"As a rock musician from Ireland, it feels surreal to me to be on another incredible tour in the USA,” says Daly. “It blows my mind that I am not only the special guest of a band I grew up listening to – Mr. Big – but we also have our own headline shows in America for the first time. This really is a dream come true.”

Mark was first discovered while performing in his band The Voodoos in Spain. During one of their shows, music manager Brian Message (Radiohead, Nick Cave)was in the crowd and requested that Mark play some original songs. Brian decided to bring the band to London to record their first EP. It was in this defining moment that Mark decided to become a full-time musician and never looked back.

One early highlight in Mark’s career was performing at the MTV EMA Awards with The Voodoos after beating out 10,000+ bands from Europe for the slot. From there, Mark and the band began to tour throughout Europe and the USA. Mark’s first venture as a solo artist hit N0. 1 on the Scottish New Music Charts. Inspired by his son, Noah, the track “Your World” was written for an autism awareness charity.

“I absolutely love everything about being on the road – meeting so many incredible people each night, getting lost in the music on stage. It’s pure magic,” says Daly.
