Chaotic Hardcore Newcomers APOSTLE Unleash Vicious New Song + Video, "Pain"

Blackened atmospheric chaotic hardcore newcomers APOSTLE are now unleashing their vicious new single, "Pain," along with a lyric video! The single is taken from the band's upcoming EP, 'Liminal,' which is due on December 15 via Terminus Hate City Records! The clip can be found below.

The band comments, "'Pain' was the first track we began working on when we set out to write what would become 'Liminal.' As with every track on this release, they were all written in our rehearsal space, during rehearsal - making the writing process one of total collaboration and the environment as conducive for organic flow states of creativity. We wanted these songs to be straightforward in their arrangements and delivery and we didn’t want to fixate, overindulge or totally run parts into the ground. Rather, we wanted the movements to be quick and intentional, keeping things dynamic and driving."

With his highly anticipated 18-track sophomore album Into The Neon arriving Jan. 26, 2024, Warner Music Nashville’s Randall King isn’t making fans wait for new music, today offering his Billboard-praised “sturdy baritone” on holiday classic “Silent Night.”

Sleep Theory Share "Fallout" Video — WATCH

Breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — have shared the video for "Fallout" from their Paper Hearts EP, out now via the Epitaph Records. Get the EP, which has been streamed over 33 million times, here.

The video features intense performance footage colliding with equally intense apocalyptic imagery, both of which fit the urgency of the song. It's a continuation of the end-of-the-world theme seen in the video for "Numb."

Munsick released his full-length sophomore album White Buffalo earlier this year, earning accolades from Billboard, American Songwriter, People, MusicRow and more. White Buffalo will receive a special documentary treatment this December, with a red carpet premiere of White Buffalo: Voices of the West during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. The documentary expands on the album’s concept, with the white buffalo representing a sacred symbol for the plains tribes of Native America, its return signaling prosperity and rebirth.

Darkest Hour Announce New Album "Perpetual | Terminal" + Share Video for Title Track — WATCH // Touring With Exodus This Fall

Washington, D.C. quintet Darkest Hour — Mike Schleibaum [guitar], John Henry [vocals], Aaron Deal [bass], Travis Orbin [drums], and Nico Santora [guitar] — have announced their tenth album Perpetual | Terminal, out February 23 via MNRK Heavy. Pre-order it here.

These once-in-a-headbanger-lifetime experiences will be offered to fans during the festival, which includes a tour to the infamous Fantoft Stave Churchwith Finn Håkon Rødland, the Black Metal Landmarks tour with Tore Bratseth, and Beyond the Black Metal Classics - a guided tour of Grieghallen with Pytten!

Black Metal Landmarks with Tore Bratseth

Metal legend and storyteller bar none, Tore Bratseth (Old Funeral, The Batallion, Bömbers) will take you on a trip to the outskirts of Bergen to show visitors a series of key locations in the Norwegian black metal lore. The trip includes stops at the Lysekloster ruins, where a series of legendary photo and video shoots have taken place, as well as the bunker where Euronymous was photographed for the “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas” promo cycle. Another stop on the trek is the location of the original Os Rock Club where Mayhem rehearsed before the recording “DMDS” in Grieghallen, and also regular rehearsal place for Old Funeral and Amputation.

This trip will go by bus from outside of Grieghallen (Nygårdsgaten).

Beyond the Black Metal Classics - a guided tour of Grieghallen with Pytten

If you want to get an in-depth look at how some of the most renowned black metal classics from the 90s came together, look no further! Legendary producer Pytten has offered to take the Beyond the Gates audience on a guided tour of Grieghallen, where he recorded seminal albums such as Enslaved’s Vikingligr Veldi, Frost and Eld, the first two Emperor albums, In the Nightside Eclipse and Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk, Gorgoroth’s Pentagram and Antichrist,Mayhem’s De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, and Immortal’s Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism, Battles in the North. Without a doubt, all of these records were instrumental in shaping what became the sound of the inimitable Norwegian Black Metal scene in the 90’s.

In an effort to make this an intimate experience for all attendees, there will only be a very limited number of tickets available for each group.

Fantoft Stave Church Tour with Finn Håkon Rødland

Any self-respecting black metal aficionado knows the dark story of the genre's origins, which includes the infamous Fantoft Stave Church arson that took place on June 6, 1992. Now rebuilt exactly as it was before the fire, fans can get a personal tour of this legendary site with black metal historian Finn Håkon Rødland.

Multi-Platinum band Whiskey Myers announces new tour dates for 2024, kicking off March 8 in Bossier City, La. Following sold-out dates across the U.S. this year, the genre-bending band will be joined by The Red Clay Strays, Lukas Nelson + POTR and Reid Haughton on select dates. Last week, the band announced the lineup for their sixth annual Wiggy Thump Festival in Palestine, Texas, featuring Jason Boland & The Stragglers, Brent Cobb and Joey Greer on April 20, 2024. Tickets are available HERE.
 
Whiskey Myers will wrap up 2023 with the Whiskey Myers & Friends, their first full-band acoustic tour with special guests Adam Hood, Aaron Raitiere and Cobb. Craig Morgan and Trace Adkins to perform “That Ain’t Gonna Be Me” on “Fox & Friends” PLUS Morgan will sing the national anthem to kick off the 2023 Fox Nation Patriot Awards

Country music hit-maker, author and patriot Craig Morgan will be joined by fellow Grand Ole Opry member and multi-platinum entertainer Trace Adkins to perform “That Ain’t Gonna Be Me” on Fox & Friends this Thursday, November 16. The collaboration can be found on Morgan’s recently released Enlisted EP. That same evening, Morgan, who is currently an Army Reserve soldier, will have the honor of singing the national anthem as part of Fox Nation’s Patriot Awards, celebrating American patriotism by honoring everyday heroes across the country who have shown dedication to our nation and the values we hold dear.  The show airs live on Fox Nation starting at 7:00 pm central.

The televised performances come on the heels of Morgan and multi-genre hit-maker, CMA New Artist of the Year winner and Grammy Best New Artist nominee, Jelly Roll, performing their collaboration, “Almost Home,” on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” last week during a special Veterans Day show. Grand Ole Opry member Ashley McBryde announces additional dates to The Devil I Know Tour Presented by Ariat, kicking off the second leg Feb. 22 in Charleston, S.C. with 30 more dates scheduled across the U.S. through June 2024. AViVA, known for her 2017 single "GRRRLS," explores themes of control and isolation in her emo-pop/alt-rock music. She's a multidisciplinary artist from Sydney, now based in LA, with a strong fan community known as "Outsiders." She's released two novels with Pan Macmillan since 2021. Her music has over 80 million monthly streams and four billion combined streams. In 2022 she completed a US tour with Enter Shikari and performed at Riot Fest in Chicago and MADCOOL Fest in Madrid. As the calendar now signals three years since Enter Shikari last released an album - their UK #2 charting album Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible – it is useful to think back to the final question the band last posed fans: “Is this a new beginning? / Or are we close to the end?” Little could they know just how close to the end things would end up feeling as the events of the early ‘20s dimmed the light in the furnace of their live juggernaut, and connection to their fans. “At the time it felt like we ourselves, as musicians, were experiencing the death of our band,” says lead vocalist and keyboardist Rou Reynolds.

Unsurprisingly, the key in the band’s ignition came in the form of a live show as they headlined the Download Festival Pilot in front of 10,000 fans. Where not a single new word flowed from the pen of Reynolds in the two years prior, a realisation was born that would come to define the band’s seventh LP: “I just didn’t realise that the human and physical connection to other people were so central to how I write,” he says. Enter Shikari isn’t just four people – it’s hundreds of thousands.

The album's lead single "(pls) set me on fire" sparked the next stage in the band’s evolution, and the first words we hear from Enter Shikari 2.0 don’t come in the form of a question this time, but a command: “Please set me on fire”. In other words, ignite the spark inside us and set us free. This may be a new Enter Shikari but they’ve lost nothing in their flair for bold opening gambits.

Reynolds comments on the single’s conception: "Honestly, I thought I was f*****. I’ve never felt so detached from my soul, my purpose, my f****** spirit. I didn’t write music for almost two years. The longest I’d gone before that was two weeks. I was broken. It’s almost as if my brain had asked: “What is the point in music if it cannot be shared? What is the point in writing music if it’s not to be experienced with others?” and then promptly switched itself off. ‘(pls) set me on fire’ grew out of that desperation. This song is a projectile vomit of positive energy. Every emotion trapped inside me for two years, finally set free."

It was in the Spring of 2022 that the band descended to the coastal town of Chichester, and a delipidated farmhouse, to rebuild their studio setup and capture their renewed momentum on record. Using only solar power to track the album – in what Reynolds says was to “bring back some sense of naivety” – the life-giving properties and Technicolor palate of A Kiss For The Whole World were made real. Reynolds continues: “Back to basics. This band - my best friends - bundled into an old farmhouse, miles away from anywhere. Off-grid, and ready to rediscover ourselves. This album is powered by the sun, the most powerful object in our solar system. And I think you can tell. It’s a collection of songs that represent an explosive reconnection with what Enter Shikari is. The beginning of our second act”.
