With fan worship more intense than ever, and worldwide interest and intrigue growing at runaway speed, studio album No. 3, Take Me Back To Eden, will be released on May 19 via Spinefarm.

Take Me Back To Eden (an hour-plus of music across 12 distinctive tracks) is Part 3 of a trilogy, a spectacular chapter-closer in the ongoing Sleep Token saga — a saga that kicked off in earnest with debut album, Sundowning (2019). 

Eden features probably the heaviest moments thus far recorded by Sleep Token (i.e. "Vore" and "The Summoning"), along with some of the most immediate and certainly the most emotional (i.e. "Aqua Regia" and "DYWTYLM"), with a slew of other tones, textures, and tangents touched on in-between. 

TMBTE sees Sleep Token boldly re-confirming a true love of the epic (the title track is eight minutes plus), whilst further exploring and developing those elements that keep the music removed from any kind of pack, howling at a moon that's all its own.

The unprecedented accolades keep rolling in, between the fact that ST has never played a headline show in the UK that didn't sell out, "Aqua Regia" picking up consistent airplay on the Radio One "Future Sounds" show hosted by Clara Amfo, plus huge pop star Demi Lovato sharing Sleep Token's music with her 153 million Instagram followers, Sleep Token consistently smash boundaries that they refused to acknowledge in the first place.

ABOUT GOZU:
This is Gozu's world, we're just living in it. Given that it has been five years since the Boston quartet dropped the monstrous Equilibrium, returning with Remedy is one hell of a way to make sure that everyone — whether previously familiar with them or otherwise — realizes that they are perhaps the most badass of American rock bands, for they have taken everything to the next level.

"There is a certain maturity mixed with a childlike enthusiasm to play music, and we all are better players now than on Equilibrium," says vocalist/guitarist Marc Gaffney. "We have all really tried to look at what we enjoy but more what we do not enjoy. Playing music is a gift and when it becomes A Nightmare on Elm St Part 37.3, you are done." The result is nine tracks of their signature combination of fuzzy, '70s-inspired riffs, rich, catchy, grunge-esque vocal melodies and a touch of old school trippy psychedelia written and played with the utmost passion and enthusiasm, eclipsing everything else in their catalogue. "The band wanted a very heavy groove-oriented album with singalong choruses. We also wanted sonically to hit you in the chest, like a three-combination, left-right-left, like Micky Ward. Harmonies and melodies were something we really looked at and wanted to shine, and thick guitar tones, driving bass and drums were under the microscope."

One element that gave the band a kick in the pants going into Remedy was drummer Seth Botos joining Gaffney, guitarist Doug Sherman and bassist Joe Grotto. "Seth brings such an impeccable work ethic and freshness to the band that it was infectious. He is the breath of delicious fresh air the three old men needed. He reminds us of a young Kevin Bacon/Wayne Rooney." Auditioning drummers ate up some of the time elapsed between records but like for so many bands the biggest obstacle was COVID, which slowed down the whole process.

Recording with honorary fifth member of Gozu, producer/engineer Dean Baltulonis (Death Ray Vision, The Hope Conspiracy) at Wild Arctic studios in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, sessions were unlike any that the band had previously experienced. Botos laid his drums down in just a day-and-a-half, taking all suggestions his bandmates had and putting his signature spin on them, echoing the fact that they were all invested in the process more than ever before. 

The band obviously hopes to tour the record after so long off the road, and they would love the opportunity to share the stage with bands they admire. When asked what other unfulfilled goals they have at this juncture, Gaffney answers without hesitation: "To always improve, write better, play better, enjoy everything that we are offered and take advantage of it. I feel we are always setting goals for ourselves so we are not stagnant or believe we can’t do more. The goal should always be to have fun, kill it and let the music set people free. The minute we stop setting goals and challenges for ourselves is the minute we have failed."

The Void is a song that came about very quickly. I didn’t have to fight with anything to write it, and when that happens, I don’t argue with it. It’s a type of song that I’ve been wanting to write for a long time, I’ve heard it hundreds of times now, and it makes me so happy every time I hear it. It’s been such an amazing experience playing this song on our tour, and watching people hear it for the first time, in real time.

South Carolina-based postpunk outfit Candy Coffins presents 'Another Kiss', the latest offering from their 'Once Do It With Feeling' album. With Cure-esque textures and melody, thematic elements and the visceral delivery of The Afghan Whigs, this 10-track collection showcases their best work to date, chronicling a relationship from the onset of the first crack to its complete crumbling dissolution.

Songwriter-singer Jame Lathren takes a deeply introspective turn on the treatment for the video, culling through literally thousands of photographs to present both the beauty and the sobering timeline of life. While the video appears to be very personal, it is one with which all of us can closely identify. Just as with life - the pivotal moments are captured, and the longer it goes on, the faster the pace seems.

“I love all the songs on the album, obviously - they’re my babies, but 'Another Kiss' is so special to me. I love the dynamics of the song and the brevity of, yet how impactful, the lyrics. But truly I love this song so much because the band, along with producer/engineer John Furr, were able to create what was in my head so closely - the sonic juxtaposition of the prelude to and the actual event of losing control. And many times that’s what artists are chasing, whether it be film, physical art mediums, or music - it’s that vision in your head. That’s what I am always chasing and this song gets there," says James Lathren.

“Ever since this song was written, I have envisioned a video that presents life on a timeline with the pressing urgency that comes with time seeming to move faster as one ages, as we all experience. I was elated (and a little surprised) that I was able to get that vision pulled off so succinctly, yet eloquently, in my opinion.”

Mixed by David Barbe (Drive-By Truckers, Superchunk, Deerhunter) at Chase Park Transduction (Athens, Georgia), the 'Once Do It With Feeling' album was produced and engineered by John Furr (E.Z. Shakes, Flippants) at Pow Pow Sound (Columbia, South Carolina).

'Another Kiss' follows the short film for 'Tangled Up In Teacups', the third act crescendo of a relationship in a tailspin with an urban ballerina-themed video produced and directed by The Pierson Collective. Earlier, the band previewed lead singles 'Every Day A Fresh Atrocity' and 'Seaside Girls'.

Vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Jame Lathren formed Candy Coffins in 2018 in Columbia, South Carolina. A cultural outcast, his resilience, sensitivity and hyper-awareness of his emotional state would ultimately permeate his own music, getting right to the heart of the emotions surrounding the human condition.

After disbanding his band Crown The Cake, he formed Candy Coffins with hometown guitar legend Tom Alewine (Bachelors of Art), followed by seasoned bassist Alex Mabrey, keyboardist Justin Purdy and drummer Jonathan Bradley (Iron & Wine). With dynamic and textured approach, the band's trademark lush sound bolsters Lathren’s emotive songwriting and delivery.

With tasteful nods to Joy Division, The Cure, The Psychedelic Furs, The Afghan Whigs and The Cult, as well as The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spiritualized, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Interpol, Candy Coffins’ sound is dark and emotionally restless, but with elements of hope and elation. Defiantly unique, their sound is a welcome respite from musical mediocrity.

RAS-1 (Richard Arthur Smith) is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and visual artist. RAS-1 was an original member of LONG BEACH DUB ALL STARS, the band co-founded in 1996 by SUBLIME’S bassist and drummer, Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh, after the untimely passing of Sublime frontman Bradley Nowell.

These tracks, in addition to other fan favorites including “Rolled Up” and “Rosarito” from the LB DUB albums 'Right Back' (1998) and 'Wonders of the World' (2001), were released as one of the first artists and earliest album collections on David Geffen’s newly formed Dreamworks label.

Born and raised in North Town Long Beach to musical parents, RAS‘s mother, Dora Gail Smith sang for the all-girl Long Beach Jazz Quintet, DREAM. His father, Richard Smith was also known to play guitar while supporting his family working for the Union Pacific Railroad. RAS-1 began his musical career as a teenager in a band THE GRIFFIN with his songwriting cousin, J-Sun, who currently plays with STONEWING. JAH CHILDREN was RAS-1’s next original band, often playing on the same bill as SUBLIME at Long Beach backyard parties and punk rock clubs. A membership in local thrashers ALL DAY followed featuring PENNYWISE alumni Randy Bradbury and cohort Paul McFadden. RAS-1 additionally sang and played lead and rhythm guitar in SHORTBUS, a side project with SUBLIME’S bassist Eric Wilson, guitarist Trey Pangborn of FALLING IDOLS.

For 2 decades RAS-1 has maintained his own style while collaborating with legends along the way and is respected in the California reggae-jam scene as an architect of both the style and sound stemming from Southern California’s vibrant musical subculture.

RAS-1’s visual art is highly stylized Southern California cool. RAS-1 finds ZEN through the medium of paint and is often commissioned for custom work with various well-known brands and entities to design skateboards and other essential gear.

NOW, RAS-1 returns as a SOLO ARTIST with a full band. After RAS-1 father’s passing, and with deepening health issues of his own, RAS-1 began a profound journey of self-discovery culminating in the poignant and honest requiem “Take me Home”.

A brand new album is in the works with the finishing touches being applied to an EP of new material including “Not Sorry" and “California Radio,” which were recently debuted during his high profile comeback slot on the inaugural CaliVibes Festival (Feb 2022). RAS-1’s unique songwriting and gritty authenticity brings it back to that original roughneck Long Beach reggae sound with an eye and ear towards the future.

About Culture Club

Few new wave groups were as popular as Culture Club. During the early '80s, the group racked up seven straight Top Ten hits in the U.K. and six Top Ten singles in the U.S. with their light, infectious pop-soul. Though their music was radio-ready, what brought the band stardom was Boy George, the group's charismatic, cross-dressing lead singer. George dressed in flamboyant dresses and wore heavy makeup, creating a disarmingly androgynous appearance that created a sensation on early MTV. George also had a biting wit and frequently came up with cutting quips that won Culture Club heavy media exposure in both America and Britain.

By the time Culture Club's second album Colour by Numbers was released in the fall of 1983, the band was the most popular pop/rock group in America and England. "Karma Chameleon" became a number one hit on both sides of the Atlantic, while the album reached number one in the U.K. and number two in the U.S. Throughout 1984, the group racked up hits, with "It's a Miracle" and "Miss Me Blind" reaching the Top Ten. In the fall, the group returned with its third album, Waking Up with the House on Fire. While "The War Song" reached number two in the U.K., the album was a disappointment in America, stalling at platinum; its predecessor went quadruple platinum.

Following a brief tour in February, Culture Club went on hiatus for 1985, with Craig, Moss, and Hay pursuing extracurricular musical projects in the interim. Though their comeback single, "Move Away," became a hit in April, its accompanying album From Luxury to Heartache stayed on the charts for only a few months.

George confirmed the group's disbandment in the spring of 1987, and he began a solo career later that year. While his solo career produced several dance hits in Europe, he didn't land an American hit until 1992, when his cover of Dave Berry's "The Crying Game" was featured in the Academy Award-nominated film of the same name. In 1995, George published his autobiography, Take It Like a Man. Culture Club reunited in 1998, issuing the two-disc set VH1 Storytellers/Greatest Hits.

A new album, Don't Mind If I Do, appeared in 1999, reaching 64 on the U.K. charts; it did not receive an American release. Culture Club next celebrated their 20th Anniversary with a 2002 concert at Royal Albert Hall.

Culture Club reunited in 2014 for a tour and the band also began work on a new album with producer Youth. The group scheduled the release of an album called Tribes in 2015, but the record never materialized. Australian metal juggernauts PARKWAY DRIVE — Winston McCall (vocals), Luke Kilpatrick (guitar), Jeff Ling (guitar), Jia O'Connor(bass), and Ben Gordon (drums) — are returning to the U.S. for a Fall 2023 headline tour. The band will also appear at several festivals, including Louder Than Life and Aftershock. 

The "Monsters of Oz" tour, which follows Parkway Drive's highly successful, sold-out Winter 2023 run, is special as it marks Parkway Drive's 20th anniversary as a band.

The trek will feature an all-Aussie lineup, with The Amity Affliction as direct support. Northlane and Make Them Suffer round out the bill.

The tour continues the successful run of show which began in November and December 2022. After exploring the idea of a Hologram tour in detail, Palmer (with the Estates of Emerson and Lake) opted for what they felt was a more honest approach using live footage of Keith and Greg on massive video walls alongside  Carl (and his band) playing LIVE on stage. The voice and instrumentation of Greg Lake and the unmistakable keyboard mastery of Keith Emerson will be mixed with Palmer’s onstage live drumming to magically reunite ELP once again. 

Emerson and Lake passed away nine months apart in 2016, leaving Palmer to carry on the band’s enormous musical legacy.
 
“The film ELP made of its sold out run at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1992 had everything we needed to make these tours happen.  We were able to use just the camera shots of Keith and Greg, with the sterling audio tracks of their performances resulting in a combination of film and onstage performance of my band that brings back the magic of ELP.”

14th Annual “Darius and Friends” Benefit Concert Returns to Nashville's Ryman Auditorium June 5; Tickets On Sale This Friday

Multi-time Diamond-certified superstar Darius Rucker returns to the historic Ryman Auditorium on Monday, June 5 for his 14th Annual Darius and Friends concert benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. The event, which unofficially kicks off the week of CMA Fest in downtown Nashville and has raised more than $3 million to date, will feature an all-star roster of friends to be announced in the coming months.
 
“This is one of my favorite nights every year,” shares the three-time GRAMMY Award winner. “The work St. Jude does for children and their families, and the medical advances they are constantly making – it all continues to amaze me. It’s a huge honor to bring together some of my best friends in Nashville each summer to do what we can to support them through this event.”
 
Rucker, who has always prioritized philanthropic work throughout his career, made a commitment to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 15 years ago after taking an inspiring tour of the hospital. Through this meaningful experience, Rucker learned how St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Hit TV Series "NASHVILLE" Kicks off International Reunion Tour in Chicago & Nashville this September

After a five-year hiatus from touring in the United States as a collective, the stars of the iconic, hit television series “NASHVILLE” are returning with shows in Chicago and in Nashville. “NASHVILLE” The Reunion Tour will play Chicago’s Rosemont Theatre on Saturday, September 23 and the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Monday, September 25.
 
“NASHVILLE” The Reunion Tour will see stars Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio take to the stage to perform classic songs from the series as well as their own original material. The four artists will play the Ryman Auditorium on September 25, before kicking off a UK run starting on October 11 in Glasgow. Due to overwhelming demand and sold-out shows, additional dates were added to the UK tour, which will also travel to Birmingham, Manchester, London and Cardiff.
 
In a special one-night event, Chris Carmack will join cast members Bowen, Esten, Jackson and Palladio for the concert in Chicago on September 23. Carmack has previously toured with his “NASHVILLE” castmates and currently stars in “Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC. 
 
“NASHVILLE” became a TV phenomenon when it first debuted in 2012. Set against the backdrop of Nashville’s music scene the show followed the lives of Clare Bowen as Scarlett O'Connor, Chris Carmack as Will Lexington, Charles Esten as Deacon Claybourne, Jonathan Jackson as Avery Barkley and Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott as country music superstars, up-and-coming performers and songwriters trying to get ahead in the business.

Before landing the iconic role of Scarlett O’Connor on the ABC/CMT/Hulu TV series “NASHVILLE”, and launching her career as a singer/songwriter, Clare Bowen was growing up in rural Australia. Bowen heard her first broadcast of the Grand Ole Opry on the wireless in her grandad’s kitchen and soon after, her classical vocal coach paused one of their lessons to comment on the “country lilt” that had naturally crept into Bowen’s voice. It would be another decade before she’d duet with heavyweights like Zac Brown and Vince Gill, recording songs with GRAMMY-winning producers like T-Bone Burnett and Buddy Miller who became her mentors. She released an eponymous album and performed before sold-out crowds in the US, UK, Germany and Australia. She also earned a coveted spot on Sugarland’s “Still The Same” tour and toured live with the “NASHVILLE” cast, selling out London’s The O2.
 
Alongside the spotlight, Clare is no stranger to the darker, more frightening side of the human experience. A pediatric cancer survivor, she was given just two weeks to live upon receiving a shocking cancer diagnosis at age four. With the strength of her family behind her, she survived a grueling chemotherapy regimen and is now known around the world as a beautiful ray of sunshine who leads with her heart, able to communicate and translate emotions whether on stage or on screen.
 
Now half of the duo known as BOWEN * YOUNG, she and her husband, Brandon Robert Young are releasing music that masterfully delves into the depths of ferocious love, heart-breaking loss and steadfast hope. Chris Carmack is an accomplished actor, singer-songwriter and musician, starring as Atticus "Link" Lincoln on ABC's award-winning, critically acclaimed drama "Grey's Anatomy." Carmack also starred on "NASHVILLE" as country crooner Will Lexington. Chris has been featured on numerous "NASHVILLE" soundtracks, in addition to performing across the US and the UK on multiple “NASHVILLE in Concert” tours.
 
Carmack's EP, PIECES OF YOU, was written solely by him and produced by GRAMMY Award-winner Ben Fowler (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and Phoenix Mendoza. Carmack and his wife and fellow musician, Erin Slaver, have also released an EP and several singles under their band name, Life on Eris.
 
Carmack previously guest starred on popular dramas such as "NCIS," "CSI: NY," "Desperate Housewives," "Smallville," "The O.C." and "CSI: Miami." He was cast as the lead in "The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations" for After Dark Films. Best known for his roles as “Ward Cameron” on the Netflix hit show “OUTER BANKS” and “Deacon Claybourne” in ABC/CMT’s “NASHVILLE”, the artist-songwriter sets the tone for the next chapter with “One Good Move” and “A Little Right Now” off his forthcoming debut album. Garnering over 10 MILLION streams to date, Esten is a 2018 Guinness World Records title holder for the “Most consecutive weeks to release an original digital single by a music act” after delivering 54 original songs once a week for 54 straight weeks. Jonathan Jackson is a multi-dimensional artist: an author, musician, actor and filmmaker. Jonathan’s life in the arts began as an actor at the age of eleven on General Hospital, where his performances garnered him five EMMY Awards. After many years working in feature films such as Tuck Everlasting and Insomnia, he played Avery Barkley in the renowned drama, “NASHVILLE”, for six seasons.
 
Along with international tours with the “NASHVILLE” Cast, he is the lead singer and songwriter for the band Jonathan Jackson + Enation.
 
His works as an author include, The Harrowing of Hell and The Mystery of Art, which has been translated into Greek, Romanian and Russian. Jonathan was recently named Associate Dean and Primary Lecturer at Theoria School of Filmmaking.
 
Over the course of three decades in Hollywood, his journey as an artist, performer and public speaker has taken him to many places around the world, including the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Romania, Russia, Canada and Greece. He currently resides in Tennessee with his wife Elisa and their three children.

Sam Palladio grew up in Cornwall in the southwest of England, but it was in Music City, Nashville that Sam got his musical big break playing the role of Gunnar Scott in “NASHVILLE.” Since then, Sam’s been focusing on his debut record, collaborating with acclaimed British songwriters like Ed Harcourt, Jonny Lattimer and Nick Hodgson and recording with US producers Soren Hansen (New Politics), Paul DiVincenzo (Elle King) and Dave Sardy (Noel Gallagher, Snow Patrol, Modest Mouse, The Who).  Reflecting both his British roots and his new home in the States, the record feels uniquely personal and will finally be revealed to the world in 2023.
 
Palladio has performed on many of the world's most iconic stages, ranging from the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Troubadour, Royal Albert Hall, Roundhouse, The O2 and in 2018 he opened for one of his favorite bands, Biffy Clyro, on their European tour.

For Smith, the making of High & Low represented a metamorphosis. But over the course of writing and producing High & Low, Smith learned to peel back the curtain, embracing all aspects of her life, including the “lows” she once held so close to vest.

‘Fauna’ sees the band exploring new ideas conceptually as Ross continues. “The premise of the album when we started writing it was that every song would have an animal assigned to it. They all have something related to the animal kingdom that we could write about, but they also connect to the human world. Each track has layers, and some of them are more obvious than others.”

“It reminds me of The Mountain,” adds guitarist and fellow founder Richard Henshall. “There, we had the idea of not really a narrative-based album, but more the concept of climbing a mountain and overcoming the obstacles along the way. Then we took that and thought about how it could relate to our everyday lives. All of Fauna’s animals relate to us, personally.”

‘Fauna’ also marks the return of keyboard player Peter Jones, whose sounds can be heard permeating the entire album. “What Pete’s brought sonically to the band has played a massive role in why we do have a lot of new sounds on this record,” says Ross. “It’s always a new dynamic when there’s a change in personnel, and this is a fresh and reviving one. It’s certainly helped proximity- wise, with Pete being in the country: Pete and Ray [Hearne, Haken’s drummer] would be at Rich’s place and they’d just start jamming. That’s really key to how the songs start.”

Bonamassa also runs Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation, a non-profit that promotes music education and blues music by funding scholarships and providing music education resources to schools in need. Wallen Celebrates U.S. Tour Kick-Off w/ Record-Setting 39,609 at American Family Field

For the second time in his career, Morgan Wallen walked onstage to a stadium full of fans last night (April 14), this time setting the attendance record as 39,609 packed the stands. Soaking in his first of 58 shows in North America this year, on night one of two back-to-back plays at Milwaukee’s MLB American Family Field Wallen’s energy-packed set encapsulated his excitement in returning stateside to once again deliver his hits to the very fans who made them a success.
 
The tour name pays homage to his third studio album One Thing At A Time, which remains at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, where it has been parked for five consecutive weeks and counting. Hailed by New York Times as a "hit-stuffed streaming blockbuster,” the album continues to break records, the latest surpassing Drake to become the artist with the most songs simultaneously charting on the Billboard Hot 100, with all 36 songs atop the chart. 
 
The streaming success of the album once again launched Wallen to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Artist 100 all-genre chart for his 11th career week, becoming the only core country artist to simultaneously rule the Artist 100, Hot 100 & Billboard 200 charts.
 
One Thing At A Time has already yielded two No. 1 hits with 10-week No. 1 “You Proof” – the longest No. 1 in Country radio history – and “Thought You Should Know,” which remained at the top of country airplay charts for three consecutive weeks. Current singles “One Thing At A Time” and “Last Night” remain in the top-20-and-climbing on country radio, while “Last Night” continues to see success on pop charts, becoming Wallen’s first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 all-genre chart.

Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour is produced by Live Nation in North America/United Kingdom and Frontier Touring for Australia/New Zealand. It kicked off overseas March 15-25 with shows in New Zealand and Australia with HARDY, and continued stateside with tonight’s show at American Family Field with HARDY; hitting New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park with Parker McCollum. Nuclear Blast is proud to announce the signing of metal legends CAVALERA. Today, the band reveal they re-recorded SEPULTURA's first EP Bestial Devastation and first full-length album Morbid Visions.


Max Cavalera comments, “As we get harder year after year, sometimes you’ve got to go back to where it all started! We re-recorded Bestial Devastation and Morbid Visions with the amazing sound of NOW,  but with its raw and timeless spirit. The artwork reflects the times we’re living in right now…. Apocalyptic as hell! We also have two new tracks with riffs from those days, remembered by heart.”

Iggor Cavalera states, “I always felt like the recordings of our earlier work didn’t do justice to the way we performed the songs. So, this is a very special moment in our lives that we are very proud to show you real fans our true representation of the amazing records Bestial Devastation & Morbid Visions with an insane visual identity…enjoy and see you all in the pit” 

Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation were re-recorded at The Platinum Underground. The albums were produced by Max Cavalera and Iggor Cavalera while John Aquilino handled the engineering. Arthur Rizk was responsible for the mixing and mastering of both albums. CAVALERA enlisted Eliran Kantor to create the artwork for both albums.

Accompanying the brothers on stage will be Igor Amadeus Cavalera (HEALING MAGIC, GO AHEAD AND DIE) fulfilling bass duties and Travis Stone (PIG DESTROYER, DESOLUS) will be supplying lead guitars. Legendary Swedish black metal formation MÖRK GRYNING is returning to American soil just one year after they annihilated the country for the first time ever! The band will be performing the elite Metal Threat Fest in Lombard, IL tomorrow, April 13. The set will be followed by two headlining dates in Los Angeles, CA and Tempe, AZ. After fifteen years of slumber, Swedish black metal cult MÖRK GRYNING have awakened to unleash their fury upon the masses with their deadly new album Hinsides Vrede. Translating into “otherworldly wrath” or “wrath of the world beyond,” Hinsides Vrede represents the impending doom of a world coming undone at its seams. The quintet temper their deathly assault with their signature melodic edge, and with recall the halcyon days of Swedish extremity. The comeback of MÖRK GRYNING is complete, and Hinsides Vrede opens up a deadly new chapter in their evolving legacy.

Founded in 1993 in Stockholm, MÖRK GRYNING were among the incipient purveyors of the melodic black and death metal scene. In May 1995, founding members Goth Gorgon and Draakh Khimera entered the Unisound Studios to record their now legendary debut album Tusen År Har Gått, produced by legend Dan Swanö (OPETH , DARK FUNERAL, DISSECTION , etc.) The haunting and melodic offering quickly gained attention among the cult of the underground, solidying their place among black metal’s clandestine elite.

The arrival of guitarist Avathar in 1999 further defined the band’s sound, adding further dimension with icy solos. The three-piece later traveled to famous Grieghallen Studios in Bergen, Norway to finish their third full-length, Maelstrom Chaos, which produced by Pytten (MAYHEM, BURZUM, EMPEROR).
 
In early 2003, MÖRK GRYNING entered the Dug Out Studio (MESHUGGAH, DEVIN TOWNSEND, IN FLAMES, DARK FUNERAL) with producers David Bergstrand and Örjan Örnkloo. Never shy to reinvent themselves, the aptly titled Pieces of Primal Expressionism reshaped the band entirely. The record put forth a daring grandiosity of dissonant harmony that had previously been unexplored in MÖRK GRYNING’s prior efforts.
 
By the time of the release of the band’s self-titled full-length in 2005, MÖRK GRYNING seemingly disbanded for good. Fans likely did not expect a second act after the band’s grand finale, however, the flames of chaos were reignited in 2017 when the band performed a rare and long-overdue anniversary set at Party San Open Air. Following appearances across Europe on the festival circuit, founding members Goth Gorgon, Draakh Kimera and Avatar reunited for real and MÖRK GRYNING signed a new deal with Season of Mist.
 
With Hinsides Vrede, MÖRK GRYNING have rediscovered the synergy they had while writing their legendary debut record and have returned to their foundations. Yet, by striving to reinvent themselves with every record, the long-awaited comeback of the band is by no means a reiteration of a glorious musical past, but is still certain to appease both old and new fans alike.
