TUNE IN 4/27: Eric Church Joins NBC's "Sunday TODAY" Ahead of 'Evangeline vs. The Machine' Out 5/2

Eric Church, hailed by Esquire as “one of the most singular working artists in any genre” and named NPR’s “gold standard for mainstream country,” joins Willie Geist for an exclusive conversation on NBC’s “Sunday TODAY” this Sunday, April 27. The in-depth and wide-ranging interview previews his highly anticipated new album, Evangeline vs. the Machine, arriving next Friday, May 2. “Sunday TODAY” airs at 6 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. ET (check local NBC listings).

Filmed at the Terminal 5 concert venue in New York City, where Church performed in 2010 on the cusp of releasing his breakthrough album, Chief, the sit-down interview offers an intimate look at his nearly two-decade journey marked by consistent risk-taking and rule-breaking as he enters a bold new chapter with his most sonically ambitious project yet.

Evangeline vs. The Machine expands the legacy of one of country music’s most fearless storytellers. Anchored by lead single “Hands of Time” – which debuted as the most-added song at Country radio and earned Church a new personal record for first-week impact with 135 stations – the album is available to pre-order/pre-save HERE.

Following the release, Church will bring the new music and his esteemed catalog to life onstage with a run of high-profile shows, beginning with two To Beat The Devil residency shows at London’s revered Royal Albert Hall on May 16-17. He will then take over Nashville’s Pinnacle for a sold-out, two-night installment of Evangeline vs. The Machine Live on May 23–24. In July, he heads west for what has become a roughly once-a-decade experience at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where fans can expect a unique set each evening across three sold-out shows: Eric Church vs. The Machine; Eric Church vs. The ECB; and Eric Church vs. The Guitar.

About Eric Church
A seven-time ACM Award winner, four-time CMA Award winner (including 2020’s Entertainer of the Year) and 10-time GRAMMY nominee – including three nods for Best Country Album, Eric Church has built a passionate fan base through his critically acclaimed catalog of music. Church’s October 2024 release, “Darkest Hour,” saw the superstar signing over all of his publishing royalties to the people of North Carolina to provide immediate relief following the devastation of Hurricane Helene while also providing ongoing funds to support a more resilient future for his home state. The song is featured alongside current single “Hands Of Time” on his forthcoming album, Evangeline vs. The Machine arriving May 2, marking his first new music since 2021’s Heart & Soul triple album (“Stick That In Your Country Song,” “Hell Of A View”). That project followed prior releases including RIAA Gold-certified Desperate Man (“Some Of It,” “Desperate Man”), Platinum-certified Sinners Like Me (“How ’Bout You,” “Guys Like Me”), Carolina (“Smoke a Little Smoke,” “Love Your Love the Most”) and Mr. Misunderstood (“Record Year,” “Round Here Buzz”), Double-Platinum certified The Outsiders (“Like a Wrecking Ball,” “Talladega”) and 4x Platinum-certified Chief (“Springsteen,” “Drink In My Hand”), as well as 32 Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certified songs. Church is also a minority owner of the Charlotte Hornets, a co-owner of the iconic Field & Stream brand, has his own SiriusXM music channel, “Eric Church Outsiders Radio,” his own liquor offering, Whiskey JYPSI, and recently celebrated the first anniversary Chief’s, his six-story venue on Nashville’s famed lower Broadway.

LAINEY WILSON SECURES CMA FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Lainey Wilson entered the 2024 CMA Awards as a host alongside Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning for the first time this year and by the close of the show was awarded two CMA Awards including: Female Vocalist of the Year, her third consecutive win in the category, and Music Video of the Year for her #1 hit song “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”

In her acceptance speech for Female Vocalist of the Year, Lainey shared: "I've always been told if you feel like you've got a gift, you're supposed to share it, and I think that means whether you drive a tractor or pour coffee, make people smile or laugh, whatever that is I think you're supposed to share that gift."

Throughout the broadcast, Lainey would take the stage for two performances — an emotive, cinematic adaption of her current Top 20 and rising Broken Bow Records single “4x4xU” from her 2025 GRAMMY-nominated Country Album of the Year, Whirlwind, and again for the George Strait tribute performing his signature “Amarillo By Morning.” Lainey's live adaptation of "4x4xU" will release tonight to all streaming platforms. Pre-save/pre-add HERE.

BMG Publishing was proud to see writer Dan Wilson capture a CMA Award for Song of the Year for “White Horse,” a track co-penned and recorded by Chris Stapleton.

In addition, 2025 GRAMMY nominee Jelly Roll, a three-time nominee at the 2024 CMA Awards, also hit the stage twice throughout the broadcast — first with Brooks & Dunn, 2024 Duo of the Year winners, for a powerful and moving performance of “Believe” that had the audience in tears and later with Keith Urban on his fiery Stoney Creek Records single “Liar” from his just-released Billboard 200 #1 album, Beautifully Broken.

Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan Team Up for THE ROAD: New Singing Competition Series Coming to CBS, Fall 2025

CBS announced today the new singing competition series THE ROAD (working title) has been ordered to series for fall 2025. From executive producers Blake Shelton, Taylor Sheridan, Lee Metzger and David Glasser, the docu-follow format trails a headlining superstar (to be announced) on their journey to discover the next big artist. Singers will join the headliner on tour, performing as opening acts in venues across the country. They will compete to win over local fanbases to secure a spot in the next city and remain on the tour.

The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Glasser’s 101 Studios with Shelton and Metzger’s Lucky Horseshoe Productions. Taylor Sheridan and David Glasser serve as executive producers. Blake Shelton and Lee Metzger serve as executive producers for Lucky Horseshoe Productions.

“I’m a big fan of Taylor’s incredible work, and I’m excited to team with him and my long-time collaborator, Lee, on THE ROAD,” said Shelton. “I know a thing or two about singing competitions and what it’s like to chase a music dream and live life on tour. I’m looking forward to discovering new talent and giving them this platform.”

“There is a revolution taking place in country music. Building a platform with Blake for the next leaders of that revolution is an incredibly exciting venture,” said Sheridan. “No more shiny floors and studio audiences. This is where the rubber meets the road – literally. Get in the van, go to the next town and win the crowd. Do it enough, and you become the next leader. Simple as that.”

“This project has been a true labor of love that Taylor, Blake, Lee and I have been talking about for some time now,” said Glasser. “I can’t thank CBS enough for supporting us on this journey to bring an incredible project to audiences everywhere.”

“Blake and I have been working together a long time and now joining forces with Taylor and David is literally the kind of team you dream about to bring something of this scale to country music fans,” said Metzger.

THE ROAD offers viewers a backstage pass into the gritty and unforgiving life of a touring artist. With exclusive access to the behind-the-scenes workings of the music industry, viewers will see what happens when some of the best up-and-coming performers pile into a tour bus and tackle a grueling schedule in pursuit of their dreams.

Brantley Gilbert and Ashley Cooke to Perform "Over When We're Sober" on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" Tomorrow, 10/25

With his seventh studio album Tattoos hailed as “a collection of carefully crafted songs reflecting different chapters of his life” by Forbes, Brantley Gilbert is set to perform his chart-climbing duet with Ashley Cooke on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” tomorrow, Oct. 25. Listen to Tattoos, available now via The Valory Music Co., HERE.

Co-written by Gilbert with Justin Wilson, Jelly Roll and Brock Berryhill, “Over When We're Sober” mixes can’t-stop romantic intoxication with a top shelf vocal blend, capturing the raw magnetism of a romantic buzz. Listen to the song HERE.

Tattoos features 10 songs all co-written and co-produced by the Georgia native with a trusted cast of long-time collaborators, lauded by Men’s Journal as “a one-of-a-kind for the Country genre,” while GRAMMY.com shares Gilbert “inks another portrait of small-town country life.”

The album mirrors Gilbert’s ink in both striking design and depth of meaning. Through flowing curves and jagged lines, shadow and light look back on a life of blue-collar pride and full-throttle rebellion – along with addictive love, abiding faith and blessings beyond what any of us deserve, as All Country News shares “Brantley Gilbert remains a force of nature in the country rock scene, marked by a raw honesty that fans have come to revere.”

In conjunction with the release of Tattoos, Gilbert brought together 118,000 people in downtown Nashville for Brantley Gilbert’s World’s Largest Album Release Party and recently wrapped his headlining Off The Rails Tour last Saturday in Macon, Georgia, with a portion of the proceeds from the final six shows going to Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

About Brantley Gilbert
As one of the godfathers of country’s modern rock-and-rap edge, multi-Platinum The Valory Music Co. trailblazer Brantley Gilbert knows life has a way of leaving a mark. With his seventh studio album, Tattoos, available now, the Georgia native chooses to embrace it – inspired by the idea that his tattoos tell a story, just like his songs. And just like his songs, he’ll never hide the truth they reveal. An era-defining artist forever bonded to his fans, Gilbert’s been mining the timeless values of hard-working dedication, high-octane thrills and humble faith since his 2009 debut, A Modern Day Prodigal Son, creating a chart-topping grit-and-grace fusion which helped set the stage for today’s genre-blending format. With his dedicated BG Nation behind him, the fiery performer-songwriter has racked up more than 8.3 BILLION career streams, boasting back-to-back Platinum albums and seven No. 1 hits including the RIAA 7x Platinum “Bottoms Up;” 2x Platinum “Country Must Be Country Wide;” 2x Platinum “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do;” 2x Platinum “One Hell of An Amen;” and the Platinum-certified “What Happens In A Small Town” with Lindsay Ell. His world-class pen helped create a watershed hit with Jason Aldean’s 4x Platinum country-rap game changer, “Dirt Road Anthem.” And possessing a can’t-fake-it quality of fierce independence, the ACM, CMA and AMA award winner has toured alongside everyone from Willie Nelson and Toby Keith to Kenny Chesney, Nickelback and more. Tattoos further cements his legacy – 10 cowritten, co-produced tracks with an electrifying mix of in-your-face aggression and roughneck reflection, as Gilbert’s diesel-powered smoke-and-soul vocal delivers another full-spectrum soundtrack to modern country life. Tracks like full-throttle “Off the Rails” and intoxicating chart-climbing single “Over When We’re Sober” with Ashley Cooke lead a set packed with guest appearances from Gary LeVox, Justin Moore, Struggle Jennings and Demun Jones. About Koe Wetzel
Koe Wetzel never met a genre wall he couldn’t tear down: The Texas singer-songwriter has earned a rabid audience for his songs that mix country, rock, hip-hop, and even Nineties grunge. His 2016 album Noise Complaint endeared him to fans with its no- holds-barred lyrics about drunken nights, broken hearts and stints in jail, and included the Gold-certified hits “Love” (feat. Parker McCollum), “Something to Talk About” and the infamous “February 28, 2016.” Wetzel’s 2020 major label debut, Sellout, only furthered his legend with the Platinum-certified “Drunk Driving” and “Good Die Young” plus the Gold-certified “Kuntry & Wistern.” The 2022 follow-up, Hell Paso, hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Country Albums and spawned hits on both the country and rock charts, including the Gold-certified “Creeps” and “Cabo.” To date, Wetzel has 2.8 billion total streams and has created a genuine experience with his live concerts, which he describes as “total chaos.” In 2023 alone, he sold more than 275,000 tickets, and appeared for a third time on POLLSTAR’s Top Worldwide Tours. Wetzel has played prominent festival sets this summer and opened for Morgan Wallen on the superstar’s One Night at a Time Stadium Tour in Texas, while also headlining his own Damn Near Normal World Tour, currently underway. His new album, 9 Lives (Columbia), is available everywhere now as lead single “High Road” with Jessie Murph arrives as his debut Country radio single while also climbing both the Hot AC and Top 40 charts.

Whiskey Myers Celebrate 5 New RIAA Certifications During "Fox & Friends" All-American Summer Concert Series

While appearing live on the “Fox & Friends” All-American Summer Concert Series today, Aug. 9, genre-bending band Whiskey Myers added to their Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) hardware with a surprise presentation of five new Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certifications (denoted with asterisks below), bringing their total to nine RIAA-certified hits, a rare feat for an independent band:

  • “Stone” (2x Platinum)*

  • “Bury My Bones” (Platinum)*

  • “Ballad of a Southern Man” (Platinum)

  • “Broken Window Serenade” (Platinum)

  • Firewater (Gold)

  • “Reckoning” (Gold)*

  • “Bar, Guitar and a Honky Tonk Crowd” (Gold)*

  • “Lonely East Texas Nights” (Gold)*

  • “Virginia” (Gold)

The chart-topping band performed two of those Platinum-certified songs, “Bury My Bones” and “Broken Window Serenade,” as well as fan-favorite “Die Rockin'” plus “John Wayne” and “Feets” off their latest album, Tornillo, lauded by Forbes as “difficult to categorize or pigeonhole because it’s uniquely their own... constantly pushing the creative envelope,” with Saving Country Music declaring the album to be “unapologetic and attitudinal,” noting, “Tonrillo brings an energy, drive, pluck, and abandon most of modern music in this repressed era has vacated due to fear of reprisal. Rock music needs saving too, and Whiskey Myers is here to pick up the slack."

Whiskey Myers' appearance comes as the band brings their high-octane live show celebrated by Holler as a “six-piece concoction of southern rock, blue-collar country and rock 'n' roll... solidifying Whiskey Myers' place among the leading jam bands of the 21st century” to Atlantic City, N.J. tonight, Aug. 9; Virginia Beach, Va. (with Hank Williams, Jr.) tomorrow, Aug. 10; and Selbyville, Del. on Sunday, Aug. 11 as their headlining run continues throughout the U.S. until November. Tickets to all dates are on sale now via WhiskeyMyers.com.

In total, Whiskey Myers have sold more than 2.1 million albums and amassed over 3.1 billion streams while earning nine RIAA Gold & Platinum/multi-Platinum certifications as an independent band. Known for their high-energy live show and unique sound, the band praised by Esquire as “the real damn deal” has also earned sync success with multiple features (and the first on-screen musical guest appearance) in Paramount’s hit show “Yellowstone” as well as Netflix series “What/If,” Angelina Jolie film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and CBS series “SEAL Team,” among several others. USA Today describes their sound as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country that has earned comparisons to the Allman Brothers Band and Led Zeppelin,” with Rolling Stone noting “it’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a perfect sweet spot.”

Ashley McBryde Performs on ABC's "Good Morning America" + "GMA3" Tomorrow, 8/7

Following her hosting duties for ABC’s CMA Fest special, GRAMMY award winner Ashley McBryde is set to perform her current single “The Devil I Know” on “Good Morning America” and album closer “6th of October” on “GMA3: What You Need To Know” tomorrow, August. 7.

“Ashley McBryde writes about the outcasts – the best characters in her songs are downtrodden, stuck, and determined as ever. ‘The Devil I Know’ is an anthem for all of them,” lauds Vulture, naming the title track from her critically acclaimed album as one of the best songs of the year.

“6th of October” was written with Blue Foley and CJ Field after the passing of one of McBryde’s longtime collaborators, Randall Clay, with Field bringing in a song he’d started with Clay. The track has since become a celebration of self-compassion among her fans, with Billboard sharing “acceptance and self-assuredness flows particularly on album closer ‘6th of October,’” while Arkansas Democrat-Gazette calls it “bittersweet, John Prine-ish.”

Named one of the best country albums of the year by Rolling Stone, Billboard, Slate, Paste, Holler and more, the cover art for The Devil I Know includes five representations of the different facets of McBryde’s personality: Joan of Arkansas, the Golden Gal, Girl in Red, Blackout Betty and Ashley Damn McBryde. To celebrate each one, McBryde compiled playlists of her songs from each persona, with the full collection titled Meet the Family.

McBryde recently wrapped The Devil I Know Tour Presented by Ariat and will perform headlining dates across the U.S. through the summer before joining Cody Johnson on The Leather Tour this fall. For additional dates and tickets, visit AshleyMcBryde.com.

This morning, June 20, iconic band Hootie & the Blowfish electrified audiences nationwide with a live performance of their timeless hit “Only Wanna Be With You” on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” The performance marked a highlight in their ongoing Summer Camp with Trucks Tour, set to make its next stop at Boston’s famed Fenway Park tomorrow, June 21, and running through the fall.

During the broadcast, the band received a special surprise: a commemorative plaque from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) celebrating their debut album, Cracked Rear View, achieving 22x Platinum certification, further extending its Double Diamond-certified status. This monumental accomplishment solidifies Cracked Rear View as one of the top 10 best-selling albums in music history, a testament to the band’s enduring appeal and the album’s lasting impact on the music industry.

In addition, a celebration of the band's decades-long career that brings their classic sound to fans across the country, they also recently released their rendition of “For What It's Worth.” The timeless anthem originally penned by Stephen Stills in 1966 was recorded by Hootie & the Blowfish in 2017 during their studio sessions for Imperfect Circle. About Hootie & the Blowfish
With the rich, bluesy vocals of Darius Rucker and gleeful harmonies of guitarist Mark Bryan, bassist Dean Felber and drummer Jim “Soni” Sonefeld, Hootie & the Blowfish have sold over 26 million records worldwide to date after their infectious melodies hit the airwaves in 1994 with hits such as “Hold My Hand,” “Let Her Cry” and “Only Wanna Be With You.” The quartet met at the University of South Carolina where endless gigs at frat houses and local bars built a major local buzz. Their blend of pop, folk, blues, soul and rock made them hard to pigeonhole, but easily accessible to anyone who loved good music.

Atlantic Records, impressed by their regional draw, signed them and released Cracked Rear View in 1994. The album had been out for six months before the band played on the Late Show with David Letterman which sent sales skyrocketing, eventually landing at No. 1 on the Billboard chart the following spring. Cracked Rear View and the band went on to win two GRAMMY Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, a Billboard Music Award and multiple People's Choice Awards. Cracked Rear View also earned the band Billboard's Band of the Year Award in 1996 and the RIAA's Diamond Award for sales in excess of 10 million units. At 22x Platinum, Cracked Rear View remains among the top 10 best-selling albums in music history.

The band remained a top draw nationwide following their debut and released five more albums for Atlantic: Fairweather JohnsonMusical ChairsScattered, Smothered & CoveredHootie & the Blowfish and The Best of Hootie & the Blowfish, as well as Looking For Lucky on their own Sneaky Long Records and LIVE in Charleston, The Homegrown Concert Event DVD and CD. The band took a break from full-time touring in 2007, reuniting annually for a variety of philanthropic events while also pursuing solo projects. 2019 marked the band’s first full-time touring year in over a decade as they embarked on the sold-out Group Therapy Tour in support of Imperfect Circle, released in late 2019 under a new record deal with Universal Music Group’s Capitol Nashville, and 2024 sees them return to the road once again for the Summer Camp with Trucks Tour.

Kelly Clarkson: Kenny Chesney Lands 2nd #1, 54,638 at Soldier Field

When Kenny Chesney gets on a roll, it seems like nothing slows down the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee. Having already extended his record on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart with “Take Her Home,” his 33rd No. 1, Mediabase bookends the achievement with a No. 1 on their chart as well.

“The thing about songs that are pieces of people’s lives,” Chesney says, “is almost everyone can see themselves in there. To me, I’m singing the reality people are living, and trying to show them how sweet life can be if you really look. I love that this song has connected so deeply.”

The man the Wall Street Journal deemed “The King of the Road” and the LA Times hailed as “The People’s Superstar” has been connecting on an even deeper level on the road. Having smashed his previous sales and attendance records at almost every stadium this summer, Chesney’s show at Chicago’s Soldier Field saw almost 2,000 more people fill their historic stadium than his prior best, a fact not lost on the life-affirming powerhouse.

“It’s been the most amazing summer,” Chesney allows. “No Shoes Nation has always been this passionate, insane country without borders with people who come together, raise our pirate flag and enjoy life in ways that inspire me. I didn’t know you could have some of the responses we’ve had on this tour, and just when you think it can’t get any louder or more heartfelt, Chicago happens.”

Not only was Chicago bringing their best singing voices, the Windy City became the site of another first. Poncho, Chesney’s golden doodle, made him onstage debut, and as the doggy daddy noted, “He might like the stage almost as much as I do!”

Having sold out Lincoln Financial Field in March, adding tickets and selling those out, too, along with Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium and three straight nights at Foxborough, Mass.’s Gillette Stadium, Chesney has seen his already strong stadium numbers grow in unthinkable ways. Beyond a three day-advance-warning to come early at Northern Ohio’s Blossom Music Center, the hunger for his music continues growing 15 years after becoming the only country artist on Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Artists of the Last 25 Years.

To see that joy and freewheeling fun up close, tune into “The Kelly Clarkson Show” today to watch the small-town kids talk work ethic, high-intensity live shows, trying to kick back, college math, an honorary doctorate and the many flavors of Blue Chair Bay® Rum. Talk only, no music, the lead guest appearance brings out the best in both performers.

“Kelly Clarkson is big fun,” Chesney says. “Two long segments with her whip by, and all you’ve done is laugh! Rather than asking the usual questions, she wants to know where the songs come from and why, and maybe a little college level math.”

Presented by Blue Chair Bay® Rum, the Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour runs throughout the summer.

BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville ACM Awards Wins & Recap - Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll & Jason Aldean

Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll and Jason Aldean proved the stars were shining bright at the 2024 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards airing live on Amazon from The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX, world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys. The aforementioned BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville artists would end the night capturing four awards and delivering three of the most memorable and breakout moments on the show.

Lainey Wilson kicked off the ACMs with her rendition of "God Blessed Texas" transitioning it into the broadcast debut performance of her latest single "Hang Tight Honey", delivering an electrifying performance that set the tone for "Country Music's Party of the Year." By the close of the broadcast, Lainey would earn the distinction of becoming the most awarded female artist of the night, securing the top honor as Entertainer of the Year. She also captured awards for Female Artist of the Year and Music Event of the Year for "Save Me" Jelly Roll with Lainey Wilson.

In her Entertainer of the Year Acceptance speech Lainey shared, "These past few years for us has been a complete whirlwind. I have been in Nashville for 13 years doing this. First of all, I want to say thank you so much, Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you to my team who fights for me every single day, who works so hard. My band - they show up. WME for booking me, all the time, everywhere. Y'all I remember being a little girl and I would climb out on the top of our roof. I'd open my window and climb out. I'd count all the stars and I'd look up and see the planes flying over my little town of 200 people. I'd dream about being up there in one of those planes and this year it is so crazy. We have already toured the UK, Europe & Australia and we're about to start our American leg. The funny thing is that I still feel like that little girl.I really do. I feel like I still climb out on the roof and I look at the stars, except I feel like I'm a little more eye level with them now. Everybody in this category has loved on me and believed in me, took me out on the road, sang songs with me, wrote with me, encouraged me every step of the way and I love y'all for that. I have the best fans in the world. Thank you so much. God bless y'all."

Jelly Roll, a first time nominee, would capture his first ACM Award for Music Event of the Year for "Save Me" with Lainey Wilson.  Giving the audience a first look at the his new music, Jelly Roll premiered an unreleased, fiery song, "Liar" on the broadcast.

In his acceptance speech, Jelly Roll stated, "I'm gonna try not to get emotional, but no pun intended, seriously, this song saved me. I was in a dark place. I wrote it from my soul. I knew people would connect with it. One year ago today, Lainey Wilson and I stood on this stage and debuted it. This song is a triple-platinum record. I wrote it with a high school friend. We never thought we'd be songwriters. I never thought I'd be standing here. I thought I would die or go to jail and I'm standing here as an ACM Award winner. You hear what I am talking about Texas! Let's go baby!"

ason Aldean, the ACM Artist of the Decade, took to the stage at The Star to honor the trailblazing and legendary Toby Keith who passed in February 2024. The "wonderfully touching" (Daily Wire) tribute "stole the show Thursday...with a moving rendition of Keith's hit 'Should've Been a Cowboy'" (Tennessean). Fans can view the performance below or stream it HERE.

Kenny Chesney Takes Willie Geist to MetLife Stadium THIS Sunday, 3/24, NBC's "Sunday TODAY"

With three sets of tour prep and rehearsals in full groove, Kenny Chesney took some time out to return to MetLife Stadium, where he’s sold over 400,000 tickets since the stadium opened, for a heart-to-heart conversation with NBC’s Willie Geist. Tracing both his evolution as a stadium-sized pioneer and looking at all the pieces of his musical foundation that led to the vast BORNthe only country artist in Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years for the last 15 years took the opportunity to truly consider the road to being a billion-ticket-selling superstar and the songwriting roots that helped him speak to an audience who had long been ignored.

“It’s strange being in a place like MetLife we know so well when it’s cold, dark and raining,” Chesney mused before his interview. “It’s just here, waiting. Knowing all the faces we’ve seen light up, the staff, the memories; it’s a pretty great place to sit down and talk to someone like Willie Geist, who gets the music and recognizes so much of what we do is about building and trying to grow. Nothing exists in a vacuum; not a tour, certainly not an album – and we still make albums – so coming somewhere so special to us was a great place to sit down and look at the journey to No Shoes Nation.”

With “Take Her Home” cresting the Top 10, and the shoot-your-shot gusto of “Just To Say We Did,” the tangled letting go of “Thinkin’ Bout,” the naughty get-out-of-jail invitation of “Guilty Pleasure” or the toast to those who have passed on “Wherever You Are Tonight,” Chesney’s first album in four years is one of his most comprehensive. If not a culmination of a life lived in music, it certainly explores a plethora of styles, realities and Chesney’s unrelenting positivity.

“This close to a tour, I realized: we couldn’t do the traditional record release media stuff most people get to do,” Chesney explained. “So I wanted to do one thing that would really matter and make sense; to talk to someone who wasn’t looking to do lifestyle stuff, but really dig in and consider what this all means. When you do that, Willie Geist is the man to call.”

Beyond their conversation about music, especially BORN, the pair talked about sports, dreams, living a life that matters and how No Shoes Nation is an outgrowth of how Chesney and his people view the world. Philosophical and far-ranging, the extended sit down and conversation in the stands achieves a deeper look at what fires the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee known for his high-intensity concerts and major tours that have sold over a million tickets every summer since 2002.

As street date approaches, a reminder that anyone who has already purchased tickets to the Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour received an email with a link to purchase the special BORN Tour Edition with three extra live tracks, as will anyone buying tickets going forward. Top tier fan club members may also purchase the Tour Edition to recognize their longstanding love of Chesney’s music.

“Rehearsals are going great,” Chesney says. “I can’t wait to see everybody in Tampa! We’re getting ready, and we’re all in all over town. To get inside BORN, just watch Willie on Sunday.”

“Sunday TODAY” airs at 8 a.m. ET on NBC and 6 a.m. PT in the Los Angeles area. Check your local NBC listings for airtimes in additional markets.

BBR MUSIC GROUP/STONEY CREEK RECORDS’ BRAZEN NAOMI COOKE JOHNSON TAKES THE GREAT OUTDOORS BY STORM IN EPISODE OF "COUNTRY OUTDOORS"

Stoney Creek Records hit singer/songwriter Naomi Cooke Johnson trades the stage for the great outdoors in the latest episode of the "Country Outdoors” series. The episode aired yesterday on Country Outdoors’ Facebook and YouTube channels, promising viewers a personal look into Naomi's adventurous side as she embraces the beauty of nature and the serenity of the wilderness. Watch on Facebook HERE or YouTube HERE.

“This episode and experience were something that was extremely personal to me. Being a new mother, an artist myself and outdoorswoman, I wanted to embark on this adventure with someone who would embrace it,” said Cooke Johnson.

"Country Outdoors" host Mary O’Neill Phillips expressed excitement about featuring Naomi Cooke Johnson on the show. “Learning survival skills is such a lost art (and is not for the faint of heart). Naomi took this opportunity with passion, interest and drive. She is an exceptional talent all around and we loved having her on this episode.”

“I grew up spending more time in the woods than indoors,” said Cooke Johnson. “We often slept outside under the stars because the old farmhouses we rented, when we weren't in our school bus, lacked air conditioning. The nights were much cooler and more comfortable outdoors. To this day, I dedicate most of my spare time to foraging for wild herbs and food, learning from nature. When Mary invited me to take this survival course with her, I couldn't say yes fast enough. My hope is that this experience will inspire women watching the episode to learn basic survival techniques, as it boosts confidence and self-esteem in a way nothing else can. I'm eager to do this again and acquire ancient skills, becoming a part of keeping them alive to pass down to my own children one day."

The episode not only showcases Naomi's love for the outdoors but also delves into her personal connection with the natural world. As she engages in outdoor activities, Naomi reflects on the impact of nature on her music and songwriting, providing fans with a deeper understanding of the artist's roots and creative process. As Cooke Johnson navigates the wilderness, the episode captures candid moments, showcasing the artist's authenticity and passion for adventure.

About Naomi Cooke Johnson:

Naomi Cooke Johnson’s life is a song worth writing and a story worth telling. Growing up impoverished with no education, Cooke Johnson found her refuge and purpose in music. She’s a real-world example of what’s possible when hope transcends hardship and a real product of the American Dream. This former lead vocalist of Runaway June, who co-wrote many of the trio’s acclaimed hits including the Top 5 smash “Buy My Own Drinks," made her official solo debut in the Country music scene with a strong dose of Shania Twain sass releasing “Girls of Summer,” a spirited celebration of carefree fun with a chosen family of friends. With powerhouse vocals and an irresistibly upbeat tempo, “Girls of Summer,” was fans’ first taste of blazing new music from Cooke Johnson who has truly come into her own as a solo artist. Her sophomore release came equipped with an adventurous and fiery attitude, as Naomi returns with, "Livin' Ain't Killed Me Yet” via BBR Music Group/Stoney Creek Records.  Semi-autobiographical, the song is, in typical Naomi fashion, a musical adrenaline rush celebrating living life to the fullest.
