Eric Church Performed "Bleed On Paper" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Ahead of Friday's Live Track Release

Eric Church closed out the 2025 leg of his critically acclaimed Free The Machine Tour this past weekend in Los Angeles, delivering the kind of boundary-pushing live spectacle fans have come to expect from the 11-time GRAMMY nominee – including a nod this year for Best Contemporary Country Album with his latest, Evangeline vs. The Machine. The finale, packed with deep cuts, fan favorites, and the tour’s signature immersive production, brought an exclamation point to a year of sold-out arena stops that drew raves from critics and fans alike.

The Inglewood show capped a run that saw Church redefine what a modern arena tour can be – from unpredictable audibles, like bringing longtime vocal partner Joanna Cotten out for a surprise “Drowning Man” setlist addition late in the show or adding a trombone solo from Roy Agee before “Knives of New Orleans,” to the cinematic production that tells the visual story of Evangeline vs. The Machine from start to finish as Church brings the songs to life. Whether backed by 24 orchestral musicians, the original Eric Church Band, or standing alone with just his guitar, Free The Machine spotlights Church at his most daring. And with 24 newly added-dates on sale now via EricChurch.com, fans won’t have to wait long for more: Free The Machine resumes in January.

The new year also brings a unique offering from the man Rolling Stone celebrates for creating “a record that is both dazzling and challenging, and creates a listening experience that upends the idea of what country music is,” as Evangeline vs. The Machine: Comes Alive releases exclusively in IMAX theaters across the U.S. and Canada for limited showings on Wednesday, Feb. 11 & Saturday, Feb. 14. A full list of locations is available via IMAX.com/EricChurch along with tickets to the limited engagement on sale now.

Filmed across two nights at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tenn., the concert film is also complimented by a 19-track live album, Evangeline vs. The Machine: Comes Alive (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) arriving Friday, Feb. 13 and available for pre-order / pre-save HERE. In addition to preview tracks “Desperate Man (Live At The Pinnacle, Nashville, TN / May 24, 2025)” available HERE and “Knives Of New Orleans (Live At The Pinnacle, Nashville, TN / May 24, 2025)” available HERE, “Bleed On Paper (Live At The Pinnacle, Nashville, TN / May 24, 2025)” arrives this Friday, Nov. 21. Pre-order / pre-save HERE.

Church joined ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last night (Nov. 17) to preview the track, joined onstage by all 24 musicians from both the Free The Machine Tour and the live recording. Watch Below.

Church’s October 2024 release, “Darkest Hour,” saw the superstar signing over all of his publishing royalties to the people of North Carolina to provide immediate relief following the devastation of Hurricane Helene while also providing ongoing funds to support a more resilient future for his home state. The song is featured alongside current single “Hands Of Time” on his latest album, Evangeline vs. The Machine, marking his first new music since 2021’s Heart & Soul triple album (“Stick That In Your Country Song,” “Hell Of A View”). That project followed prior releases including RIAA Gold-certified Desperate Man (“Some Of It,” “Desperate Man”), Platinum-certified Sinners Like Me (“How ’Bout You,” “Guys Like Me”), Carolina (“Smoke a Little Smoke,” “Love Your Love the Most”) and Mr. Misunderstood (“Record Year,” “Round Here Buzz”), Double-Platinum certified The Outsiders (“Like a Wrecking Ball,” “Talladega”) and 4x Platinum-certified Chief (“Springsteen,” “Drink In My Hand”), as well as 32 Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certified songs. Church is also a minority owner of the Charlotte Hornets, a co-owner of the iconic Field & Stream brand, and has his own SiriusXM music channel, “Eric Church Outsiders Radio,” his own liquor offering, Whiskey JYPSI, and his six-story venue on Nashville’s famed lower Broadway, Chief’s. Horrendous Announce 'Anareta' Anniversary Shows

As they prepare to follow up their latest list-topping, Billboard-busting album, Horrendous are kicking off 2026 by celebrating the record that has come to define the band's steady upward trajectory.

Come January, Philadelphia's finest death metal band will perform two special shows in New York City and Baltimore to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Anareta, which Decibel Magazine named the best album of 2015. During both shows, the band will play the album in full.

"This album was forged during a period of intense inspiration and drive", Horrendous says about Anareta. "We were honing our sound while exploring new territory, and felt like we were truly becoming ourselves".

"We are excited to reanimate these songs, many of which have not been performed in years, and to breathe new life into this record that propelled the band down our current trajectory", the band continues. "We hope you'll join us to toast Anareta! We will shortly be entering hibernation to focus our efforts on writing our sixth album".

Horrendous Celebrating 10 Years of Anareta
January 23 - New York, NY @ TV Eye [TICKETS]
January 24 - Baltimore, MD @ Metro Gallery [TICKETS]

“Surprises always come up during writing — spontaneous ideas pull you into new territory and enable the realization of novel possibilities that previously were inaccessible.”

Such are the words from Horrendous drummer Jamie Knox when discussing the creation of the band’s fifth full-length, the highly anticipated 'Ontological Mysterium'. Knox’s quote also encapsulates Horrendous’s approach to extreme metal. Since 2009, the band has capably tapped into the inaccessible by providing a fresh, unconventional take on death metal that harnesses technical brilliance with elaborate, mind-melding melodies, frothy, spewing vocals and labyrinthine song structures. This combination has made each Horrendous long play a clinic in the gratifyingly unorthodox. The trend continues on Ontological Mysterium.

The follow-up to 2018’s Idol was recorded, mixed and mastered at Subterranean Watchtower Studios in Virginia, which doubles as the homestead of guitarist/vocalist Damian Herring. While the band (completed by guitarist/vocalist Matt Knox and bassist Alex Kulick) finished much of the songwriting for Ontological Mysterium in 2019, its recording was delayed by the 2020 global pandemic and various life events. Horrendous eventually finished recording in early 2022 and mastered the album before the start of 2023.

The album upholds Horrendous’s position as one of the underground’s best outside-of-the-box extreme metal bands. Having long abandoned concern whether people would appreciate their “uniqueness,” Horrendous has embraced its role as a band willing to veer far from death metal conventions, intentionally stretching and breaking norms. To wit, the band primarily views its music as filtered through a death metal lens. This may be Horrendous’s defining trait: By not accepting parameters, nothing is off-limits.

The Dark.FM Release Video for Collab Remix W/ Smash Stereo for [zippermouth]"

The Dark.FM have returned with a sinister new twist on their latest single "[zippermouth]" – this time in the form of a gripping remix crafted by rising industrial producer Smash Stereo.

The collaboration drags the original track even deeper into the shadows, amplifying its dark-wave heartbeat with heavier electronics, pulsating synth aggression, and a cold, metallic edge that feels both cinematic and menacing. Smash Stereo transforms "[zippermouth]" into a grinding, adrenaline-laced reimagining that pushes The Dark.FM's sound further into the realm of dystopian club culture.

Beyond the studio, The Dark.FM are gearing up for a massive year ahead as they are confirmed to perform at Sick New World Festival 2026 — with appearances in both Dallas and Las Vegas.

Teen Mortgage Drop "Below The Christmas Tree" — LISTEN // Band Partners With Skate Super Skate Posse

Washington, DC punk duo TEEN MORTGAGE — guitarist/vocalist James Guile and drummer Ed Barakauskas — are getting festive with their new holiday track "Below the Christmas Tree."

Listen below.

Of course, in typical Teen Mortgage fashion, it's ANYTHING but a typical holiday track.

"We wanted to give people a new Christmas song to throw in their rotation because the usual Christmas hits get tedious to listen to," states Guile. "The song is a satire of people's tendency to ignore the world and embrace consumerism during Christmas and the way they would continue the tradition in the face of a nuclear holocaust. But the flip side of that is that Christmas is a call for peace."

Teen Mortgage are also partnering with Super Skate Posse and the Boys and Girls Club of Baltimore to provide 50 pre-selected, area youths with new skateboards, helmets, and Converse sneakers, along with a skate demo and music performance in Baltimore.

Guile says, "We're insanely proud to offer kids a chance to be part of the skate community in Baltimore and maybe get inspired to be in a band too."

The event will take place at the Skatepark Of Baltimore, locate at 1201 W 36th Street, Baltimore, MD on Saturday, November 22 from 2 to 3pm, and will include demos from professional skaters Brian Anderson, Darren Harper, Spencer Brown, and Tony Massey, as well as a full performance from the band.

The Super Skate Posse Givebacks partner with local organizations across America to remove the cost barrier of access to the mental health benefits of skateboarding through a one of a kind experience to underserved youth. This is the first time the event will take place in Baltimore and is sponsored by The Boys And Girls Club Of Baltimore, Converse, Good360, Lingraphica, No Expectations, Team Bonding, Vu Skateshop, JBL Audio, Polio Treading, and Primary Wave.

"It's an honor to work with Teen Mortgage to uplift the youth of Baltimore. It may not be common knowledge but lead singer, James Guile, is a lifelong skateboarder. I commend James and Edward Barakauskas for identifying a need for resources in their community and taking action," says Chris Nieratko, Executive Director, Super Skate Posse.

In addition to this special performance, the band will perform at two holiday-themed shows. The will appear at the Jingle Bell Roxy LA on December 10. Jingle Bell Rox is a 13-night concert series in partnership with Union Rescue Mission. There will be a donation drive at each show to support those in need this season.

The band will also perform at Blissmas 25 with Better Lovers, Glassjaw, Saves the Day, Terror, Onyx, Haywire 617, Koyo, and Johnny Booth on December 13.

Teen Mortgage, who have shared stages with the likes of Weezer and Smashing Pumpkins, are in the middle of a headline tour. Get tickets here. They will hit the road hard in 2026, as well, as they are set to tour with Joyce Manor, Militarie Gun, and Combat next spring. All dates are below.

Hailing from the small town of Eksjö, Sweden (located between the revered metal cities of Gothenburg and Stockholm), the quartet (guitarist and vocalist Niklas Karlsson, guitarist Richard Hansson, bassist Fredrik Lennartsson and drummer Christopher Wallerstedt) have grown into a global force, melding together riffs that are equal parts thrash, death metal and industrial with arresting hooks and a layered atmosphere that invites comparison to Gojira, Metallica and Static-X while carving out something that is uniquely their own.

ORBIT CULTURE's 2023 album, Descent and its subsequent EP release, The Forgotten topped many year-end lists in 2023 including Metal Hammer who described the album as: "a formidable entwining of modern metal’s most effective and exciting strands into an impressive milestone." Exhaustive worldwide touring and a steady stream of crowd-pummeling festival slots across the globe have set the stage for something much larger.

Orbit Culture are a band poised. They are the sound of metal in the most modern sense.

Alt-Pop Trio Exploring Birdsong Reveal Video for New Single "Romanticise" + Announce 2026 Tour

Exploring Birdsong are stepping into a new era with their stunning single "Romanticise," released today via Long Branch Records.

Stream "Romanticise" here

Watch the video below

The trio has also announced a 2026 UK headline tour. Catch Exploring Birdsong at the following locations.

9/23 — Glasgow, UK — Classic Grand
9/24 — London, UK — Islington Assembly Hall
9/25 — Bristol, UK —  Strange Brew
9/26 — Manchester, UK — Gorilla

Exploring Birdsong are headlining London's St Pancras Old Church tonight, November 5, and tomorrow, November 6. After the first date sold out in two minutes, the band added a second. This also sold out in minutes, underlining the breathless excitement building around the group.

"'Romanticise' is centered around a relationship plagued by toxicity," the band shares. "Written from the perspective of the perpetrator, lyrically it depicts the needless and unnecessary frustration and anger shown towards their partner. The chorus had to be catchy. This was written first, and as the writing process developed and lyrical content was formed, we wanted the breakdown section to match the chaotic and aggressive nature of the lyrics."

The band continues. "The opening line to the chorus is a sarcastic jab at the protagonist's partner — 'You could romanticise a car wreck at eighty' — it illustrates their frustration at a tenaciously positive outlook, and is followed by 'Would you anatomise the way I'm behaving?,' shifting the blame from themselves as if their behavior is being overly scrutinized when questioned. The song is written, unfortunately, from personal experience."

The alt-pop trio, centered on Lynsey Ward's stunning vocals, showcase a richer and more expansive element with their newest effort — a mature evolution from the organic rawness of their piano-led roots. Despite the shift in sound first signaled with the acclaimed 2024 singles "The Collapse," "Weight in Gold," "All I Lack," and "Stitch," the three-piece has not sacrificed any of the emotional intimacy or genre-blending beauty that sets them apart.

The voice of Ward (also of Espera), mixed with the talents of Jonny Knight (bass + keyboards) and Matt Harrison (drums), help forge a truly unique approach to songwriting and modern heavy music.

Previously, the band has supported Katatonia and Sleep Token as well as a main stage appearance at RADAR and Euroblast festival. Straddling pop, progressive rock, and uncategorizable genre-blending beauty, the band is mostly unplaceable, but "Romanticise" suggests flashes of Everything Everything's inventiveness, the dramatic flair of Kate Bush, and the synth-heavy intensity of Enter Shikari — whilst remaining uniquely Exploring Birdsong.

EXPLORING BIRDSONG ARE:
Lynsey Ward — Vocals, Piano
Jonny Knight — Bass, Synthesizers
Matt Harrison — Drums, Percussion

Avatar Release "Don't Go In The Forest" Album + Share Video for Title Track

The heavy metal visionaries collectively known as AVATAR — vocalist Johannes Eckerström, guitarists Jonas Jarlsby and Tim Öhrström, bassist Henrik Sandelin, and drummer John Alfredsson — have finally unleashed their latest masterwork Don't Go in the Forest. Listen and get the album HERE.

Avatar will hit the road for their massive North American headline run, beginning November 5 in Phoenix. All dates are below.

Regarding the album, Eckerström has explained, "The secret ingredient is that we still feel like we're just getting started. Don't Go In The Forest is an album filled to the brim with stuff we've never done before. It's all songs and concepts we haven't been close to touch until now. The mind is wild and we have lost ourselves in the darkest woods, filled with memories, and fantasies. Forbidden thoughts that must be spoken."

He furthered, "It would have been impossible to make this album at any other time than now. That's all we ever wanted, and I think you'll find it's all you ever wanted too."

Avatar’s growth and momentum has only accelerated in recent years. There's the critically acclaimed, 2023-released album Dance Devil Dance, which included their first #1 at Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay, "The Dirt I'm Buried In." There have been scores of sold-out headline shows across the globe, and an actual fossil named after them. The list goes on and on.

Avatar will spend the foreseeable future (if not forever) on the road. See below for a complete rundown of the band's planned tour activity for the next two years.

Avatar shows no sign of pausing to take a breath in their quest for absolute world domination — much less stopping.

Return to Dust proudly look to the '90s-era grunge as a key source of inspiration for their grainy, gnarly, and modern blend of hard rock. 2024 saw the band unveil its independent self-titled full-length debut, Return To Dust, including standout single "Belly Up," which rose through the Active Rock chart  and was praised by Distorted Sound as "a grungy, punky thrill ride," while Revolver applauded the group's "Alice In Chains-inspired form of modern-day grunge." In the aftermath, they lit up the stages at major festivals like Inkarceration, Welcome To Rockville, and Sonic Temple, and joined rock legends Chevelle and Sevendust as support on tour. The group next signed to LAVA Records/Republic Records and dropped the Speak Like The Dead EP, which yielded the hit single "Bored." Tours with Pop Evil, Billy Corgan And The Machines Of God, Breaking Benjamin, and Three Days Grace ensued, and the band also appeared at Louder Than Life and Aftershock. With 2026 squarely in their sites, there is no ceiling to what Return to Dust can achieve. Fans can go here for more.

Trivium Release "STRUCK DEAD" EP + Share Title Track Video — WATCH // Headline Tour Kicks Off Tour

GRAMMY-nominated heavyweights TRIVIUM — vocalist/guitarist MATTHEW K. HEAFY; guitarist COREY BEAULIEU; and bassist PAOLO GREGOLETTO — have released the three-song EP STRUCK DEAD , via longtime label Roadrunner Records. Get it here

Trivium have shared the video for the title track. Watch it below

"In August 2023, we set out to design and build our own studio at The Hangar — a place to create freely, on our own terms," says Gregoletto about the EP's genesis.

The creative catalyst, though, was the band's past and desire to see what's next. "Born from months of revisiting and performing Ascendancy in full, this EP channels that familiar power and spirit while pushing into new territory," he continues. "We feel that Struck Dead stands as the first step into a bold new era for us and we happy to finally share it with all of you.”

While it may only be three songs in length, in typical Trivium fashion, it packs a powerhouse punch, thanks to masterful riffing and the dual-style vocal prowess the band has built its nearly three-decade reputation on! It was produced by Trivium and recorded with Mark Lewis at the band's aforementioned Hangar Studios in Orlando, Florida. It was mixed and mastered by Josh Wilbur.

Trivium will embark on The Struck Dead tour, which kicks off today, October 31, in Myrtle Beach and runs through December 14, with an epic hometown show in Orlando.

Pre-sale registration for Still The Problem Tour is open now through Nov. 6 at 10pm local time at StillTheProblem.com. Public on-sale begins on Friday, Nov. 7 at 10am local time.

Promoted by AEG Presents – with the exception of the Tuscaloosa, Alabama show, which is produced by Live Nation – Wallen’s 11-city, 21-date Still The Problem stadium tour will kick off on April 10, 2026 with two consecutive nights at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Wallen will play two nights in most locations, including stops at three major college football stadiums: Florida’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Michigan’s Michigan Stadium and one night only at Alabama’s Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

A rotating lineup of guests including Brooks & Dunn, HARDY,  Ella Langley and Thomas Rhett join as direct support, with Gavin Adcock, Flatland Cavalry and Hudson Westbrook as second-of-four and Jason Scott & The High Heat, Zach John King, Vincent Mason and Blake Whiten as first-of-four. Support assets are available HERE.

Still The Problem is inspired by Wallen’s fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, which arrived May 16, 2025 via Big Loud/Mercury Records. I’m The Problem spent 12 non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200 albums chart and 13 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart. It also became his third consecutive album to spend at least 10 weeks atop the Billboard 200 – making Wallen the first artist in history to achieve that feat.

Internationally, the album debuted at No. 1 in seven countries upon release and became Wallen’s first album to debut at No. 1 on the UK Official Charts, making him one of only five artists to debut at summit with a country album. In Australia, I’m The Problem became the longest-running No. 1 album by a country artist in 10 years, with three consecutive weeks atop the ARIA albums chart, while “What I Want (feat. Tate McRae)” spent five weeks at No. 1 on Australia’s Country Airplay chart.

As with previous tours, a portion of every ticket sold will benefit his Morgan Wallen Foundation (MWF) — which supports programs for youth in the areas of sports and music. Those donations enabled MWF to contribute over $600,000 worth of instruments to schools in need across U.S. touring cities in 2025, including Gulf Shores, Alabama, in addition to a $30,000 donation to the Toronto Blue Jays’ Jays Cares RBI program. About Morgan Wallen:
Morgan Wallen sets the pace in, and beyond, country music – with Billboard calling him “one of the biggest stars in the music world right now” and The New Yorker adding “[he’s] popular on a scale that seems to circumvent genre entirely.” With 20 No. 1 singles at Country radio, 19 Billboard Music Awards to-date, 198 weeks spent atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart (the most in country music history), the highest selling country tour under his belt and more, Wallen has propelled country music to a global level in less than five years.

Wallen’s fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, available now via Big Loud / Mercury, debuted at No. 1 globally across seven countries; while his preceding albums – Dangerous: The Double Album and One Thing At A Time – have remained in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart for more than 100 weeks each, making him the first artist ever to achieve that feat. I’m The Problem – which Hits Daily Double observes is “a 37-song cycle of self-reckoning” – has already yielded five No. 1’s at Country radio, including the title track, which remained at No. 1 for eight weeks. Wallen also broke his own record for the most simultaneous entries in Billboard Hot 100 History, with 37 songs charting on release week.

After recently concluding his 20-stadium-show 2025 I’m the Problem Tour in September, Wallen is readying his 21-stadium show Still The Problem Tour for 2026. Kicking off April 10 with two consecutive nights at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the run will include stops at three major college football stadiums: Florida’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Michigan’s Michigan Stadium and one night only at Alabama’s Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Wallen donates a portion of every ticket sold to his Morgan Wallen Foundation — which supports programs for youth in the areas of sports and music. More at MorganWallenFoundation.org.

Howl Owl Howl Offers First Scent of '90s-Coded Throwback on "My Cologne"

After revealing their surprise formation last month, new rock group Howl Owl Howl is giving fans the first scent of its raw, sharp-edged sound. Dropping their debut song “My Cologne” (10/31), the trio of ‘90s alternative legends unveil a punchy garage rocker with a playful core, dedicated to the act of reinvention.

Written by Howl Owl Howl members Darius Rucker (Hootie & the Blowfish frontman/multi-Platinum country star), Mike Mills (R.E.M. co-founder/Rock & Roll Hall of Famer), and Steve Gorman (The Black Keys co-founder/former drummer), “My Cologne” features shared lead vocals from both Rucker and Mills, with a fist-pumping rhythm built on Gorman’s killer instincts.

But the new band’s lineup is not the only star-studded piece of the “My Cologne” story.

Scrappy and irreverent, the tongue-in-cheek anthem was actually inspired by Ariana Grande’s 2018 track “R.E.M.” – which then turned into a perfume line with a familiar feeling cassette-tape package. Mills says he found the possible connection to his iconic band too hilarious not to write about … especially since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

“I’m not dissing Ariana – in fact I got no problem with it at all,” he says with a laugh. “I just thought it was funny that either she was completely unaware of how weird that was, or she was aware and didn’t care. Either way, I thought I’d write a little song and say I want to smell like Ariana Grande.”

Meanwhile, only a few days remain before Howl Owl Howl starts its first chapter on the road.

Showcasing the band’s longtime creative camaraderie and unique new sound, the Howl Owl Howl Tour 2025 features nine dates beginning November 3 in Indianapolis, Indiana, with additional stops stretching across the Eastern U.S. and Midwest.

Each show will combine three distinctive, award-winning talents in new and unheard ways, as the band performs their original music live for the first time – tunes steeped in the rebellious passion and forever-young philosophy of rock…yet designed in a different phase of life.

About Howl Owl Howl:
As a true supergroup drawing on three of the most impactful careers in American rock, Howl Owl Howl is an elusive musical creature: a brand-new band with an old school rock ‘n’ roll soul. Founded by GRAMMY-winning Hootie & the Blowfish frontman/multi-Platinum country star Darius Rucker, REM co-founder/Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Mike Mills, and The Black Crowes co-founder and former drummer/lauded media personality Steve Gorman, Howl Owl Howl was born from friendship and the pure joy of collaboration, and is now powered by the world-class instincts of true originals, who are far from done making noise. Infusing roots rock with an open-minded alternative flair, the band’s first batch of music was 30 years in the making, matching a fluid, feel-oriented rhythm section to the barrel-chested vocal rasp of an iconic frontman. After moving in the same orbit through their hard-touring ‘90s heyday, an upcoming album captures the group’s wide range of sonic influence in melody-driven freeform style. From punchy garage rock and jangle pop to throwback soul, blues, and beyond, self-penned songs veer from deeply personal to colorful and quirky, on a set steeped in the rebellious passion and forever-young philosophy of rock…yet designed in a different phase of life. With more maturity and humility – but the same us-against-the-world swagger each member brought to their genre-defining first act – the near-mythical group hits the road in late 2025, swooping into a new era.
