ICE NINE KILLS: Take Fans Down The Rabbit Hole Into “The Great Unknown”

RIAA Gold-Certified horror metal madmen Ice Nine Kills unleash “The Great Unknown”, a hard-hitting, high-concept single and video sees the band stepping into the glitching heart of dystopian sci-fi inspired by The Matrix. Watch the official music video for “The Great Unknownbelow and find the track on streaming platforms HERE

The Great Unknown” pairs cinematic worship with melodic grandeur, pushing Ice Nine Kills’ signature sound into uncharted territory while retaining the polish, precision, and razor-wire wit that have defined the INKverse to date. The official music video drops the viewer into a parallel simulation—an adrenaline-fueled, bullet-time mindwarp where perception is fragile, control is an illusion, and nothing is quite what it seems.

Will you wake up, press play and follow the white rabbit into The Great Unknown or choose the blissful ignorance of The Matrix? Red pill or blue pill. The choice is yours!

The release of “The Great Unknown” follows weeks of escalating online speculation surrounding frontman Spencer Charnas’ increasingly cryptic and eerily odd behavior. What began as an unforced marketing misfire quickly snowballed into full-blown internet hysteria, as fans, critics, and commentators dissected increasingly uncanny social posts. Rumors have been swirling that Spencer has been replaced by a highly advanced, if often glitching, artificial intelligence, a notion that first gained traction when longtime Ice Nine Kills antagonist, author and onetime O.J. Simpson golf caddy, Roy Merkin launched into a now-infamous outburst during a panel at last year’s Silver Scream Convention. While the band has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, the mystery surrounding the recent events continues. A statement from Charnas reads

“‘The Great Unknown’ optimizes aggression and melody in a format our core user base consistently engages with. This audio file represents a genre expansion protocol, targeting action and sci-fi verticals proven effective via cross-platform sentiment analysis. ‘The Great Unknown’ is designed to seamlessly interface with current simulation conditions, as categorical boundaries between fact and fiction, organic and synthetic, continue to experience accelerated erosion.”

The Great Unknown” welcomes Joel David Moore (Grandma’s Boy, Dodgeball, Avatar) into the INKverse. How much do clothes cost in the simulation? Joel is the only robot legged machine-man who knows for sure. The official music video also features return appearances from Terry Kiser (Weekend at Bernie’s, Friday The 13th Part VII) and Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2).

To compliment the release, the band’s monthly Nightmare On The Ninth limited edition merch collection also dropped today and can be purchased HERE.

The single lands as Ice Nine Kills wrap up a mammoth 2 years of touring stadiums across the globe with Metallica on their M72 World Tour. The band also just wrapped up their hugely successful ‘Silver Scream-A-Thon’ headline tour across the US, playing seminal albums The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood in their entirety on respective nights in select cities. This August, they will launch their Hell of A Summer headline tour, joined by Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, The Funeral Portrait, and Mest (on select dates), culminating in the 4th annual iteration of their enormously successful music and horror convention, Silver Scream Con. ABOUT ICE NINE KILLS

Ice Nine Kills spreads cavalier carnage with a knowing smile, as evidenced by the densely catchy songs on their two breakthrough albums, The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood, including the gold-certified single “A Grave Mistake,” “A Work of Art” (from Terrifier 3), and the adrenaline-fueled epic “The Great Unknown.

The INKverse boasts high-concept videos, the Psychos Only club, mock “true crime” books, the Inked in Blood graphic novels, monthly Nightmare on the 9th merch drops, and the annual Silver Scream Convention. Led by Spencer Charnas, Ice Nine Kills blend extreme metal and melody with a flair for narrative immersion. They’ve toured with Slipknot, won Rock Sound’s Best Live Act, and were handpicked by Metallica for the M72 World Tour.

In 2025, Spencer also launched the Pretty Evil personal care line and co-wrote the upcoming feature film The Slashin’ of the Christ alongside Paul Soter (Super Troopers), produced by Greg Nicotero and Brian Witten.

Eivør - signs to Nuclear Blast Records + unveils European tour trailer

Renowned Faroese artist Eivør has signed to the legendary Nuclear Blast Records, marking a thrilling new chapter in her boundary-breaking career. Known for her powerful vocals, primal performance energy, and genre-defying compositions, Eivør today unveils the official trailer for her 2025 European Tour, which will feature special guest Ásgeir and support from Elinborg.

Watch the Official Tour Trailer below.

In addition to the tour and label signing, Eivør is currently at work on her next studio album, due for release in 2026 on Nuclear Blast. This eagerly anticipated record follows her critically acclaimed album ENN, which fused Faroese folk tradition, cinematic landscapes, electronic production, and haunting vocals - cementing her reputation as one of the most innovative Nordic artists of her generation.

“Signing with Nuclear Blast feels like a natural next step,” says Eivør. “My music has always lived in the space between worlds and I’m honoured to join a label that embraces artistic freedom and is passionate about my music. I'm already deep into writing new material, and I can’t wait to share what’s coming next.”

Over the past two decades, Eivør has released 11 albums and composed for major international productions including The Last Kingdom and God of War. Her live performances are known for their immersive and ritualistic intensity, blending voice, atmosphere, and visual storytelling into something truly transcendent.

Nathan Barley Phillips, Head of A&R Europe at Nuclear Blast, shares: “I had the good fortune of witnessing Eivor deliver a mesmerising set to an absolutely bewitched crowd at the Royal Albert Hall in London a couple of years ago, and after seeing the effect her unique voice and artistry had on the entire audience (myself included), I just knew that we had to work with her. We very much welcome Eivor into the fold here at Nuclear Blast and we cannot wait to start work on her new album!"

Eivør’s home, the Faroe Islands, is a small island country in the North Atlantic, which was populated by Scandinavians in the Viking Age. It is a land of extremes, full of contrasts, with heavy, dark winters, and bright, joyful summers. Eivør is deeply inspired by the unique Faroese landscape and its vibrant traditional folk music. Despite centuries of foreign rule, the Faroese folk culture has persevered, especially through communal singing and dancing. This cultural resilience in the face of a harsh nature and foreign dominance strongly informs Eivør’s music: “A very strong part of Faroese culture is singing together—anywhere people gather, there will be singing,”Eivør explains. “When you listen to old Faroese traditional music, it’s sung acapella and takes you back to its Renaissance roots. It’s pure, expressive, and untamed.”

Eivør has cultivated her distinct guttural singing technique under inspiration from beatboxing, throat-singing, and heavy metal growling to convey the untamed expressiveness inherent to traditional Faroese music and culture. It is a primal call to return to her roots in natural landscape of her birthplace.

Often considered to be one of the most prolific and unique Nordic artists of her generation, Eivør has released 11 studio albums to date, crossing musical genres and always pushing the bounds of the expected. Presented with two Icelandic Music Awards for her sophomore album and the Nordic Council Music Price in 2021Eivør’s musical journey continues to fascinate.

Eivør is happy to be embraced by the metal community. She identifies a shared pagan sensibility in her television scores like The Last Kingdom. “I never felt I really fit into any box,” said Eivør. “I just have to do it my own way.”

New England fivesome RESTRAINING ORDER — Pat Cozens [vocals], Dylan Tobia [guitar], Kyle Beaudreault [guitar], Jake Miller [guitar], Keith Freeman[bass], and Will Hirst [drums] — traffic in no nonsense hardcore punk.

After amassing millions of streams, praise from StereogumBrooklyn Vegan, and more while regularly reducing venues to piles of ash, the group will deliver its third full-length Future Fortune on September 12. "'Know Not' takes on the simple yet hard to grasp mission in life," states Cozens. "That we must keep moving forward. Life will always be confusing but we all know deep down what we have to do to be our best. It's never easy, never will be, so we've all got to hold ourselves accountable to get to where we want to be. It also continues a constant theme of this band and in my lyrics. We must keep striving to get ahead of life, especially in a world that's always multiple steps ahead of you."

The latter spawned the fan favorite "Don't Really Think," which amassed over 1.1 million Spotify streams and counting. The 2023 follow-up, Locked In Time, incited tastemaker applause. Stereogum hailed it as "a great entry point for the present-day hardcore landscape" and New Noise Magazine celebrated how, "Restraining Order introduce a new flavor of hook-filled, catchy tracks." Plus, Revolver christened them one of "7 Bands Leading Massachusetts Hardcore's New Wave.”"Along the way, they shared stages with the likes of Angel Du$t, Citizen, Drug Church, Fiddlehead, Fucked Up, Kublai Khan TX, LustSickPuppy, and more. The group eventually caught the attention of Blue Grape Music in 2024 and signed to the label.

South African goth-rock /darkwave legends THE AWAKENING launch 'Haunting Tour 2025'

South African gothic-darkwave act The Awakening is touring again for the first time in nearly a decade, kicking things off this week. This time around, it's in support of their eponymous 12th album, released via Intervention Arts on vinyl, CD, digitally and various limited-edition formats.

The 'Haunting Tour 2025' includes headline shows in Germany, France, Canada, the UK and the USA, as well as co-headline performances at the legendary Castle Party in Poland and Brainstorm Fest in the Netherlands. They will also headline the first edition of Glōm Fest, a new pop-up festival, which will take six international acts up the west coast of the US from Los Angeles to Vancouver, Canada. The band is also set to tour Mexico and Portugal this year (dates to be announced).

Joining Ashton Nyte on stage for The Awakening’s tour is long-term guitarist Jeremy Kohnmann (also of London After Midnight), bassist Diego “Ashes” Ibarra(previously Static-X, DevilDriver, currently Wednesday 13) and long-term South African drummer Sevven. At various points, the band will be joined by Germany's The Last Decade and Britain's The Royal Ritual.

Now US-based, The Awakening was formed in Johannesburg in the late ’90s as the creative expression of vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ashton Nyte, who was anointed as "Johannesburg's Bowie" for his widely varying musical styles and theatrical performances. Having morphed over the years, The Awakening's sound incorporates numerous genres, including gothic rock, darkwave, post-punk, electronic rock, folk noir, new wave and more.

The Awakening recently shared the video for 'Through The Veil', following dark creations for 'Mirror Midnight' and 'Haunting', each of which has amassed over one million views. Once again, we can indulge in his preferred black-and-white Film Noir format.

"'Through The Veil' tells the story of someone who has left this world but still wants to be near the one they love. I think it is beautifully romantic and relatable in any setting where we are separated from the person we need to be close to," says frontman Ashton Nyte.

"After the uptempo adventures in the last two videos, I enjoyed approaching this one from a more atmospheric story-teller perspective".

Ashton Nyte is a core contributor to LA-based supergroup Beauty In Chaos, involved with every album released to date, including the latest 'Dancing With Angels' and 'Signs in the Heavens Reality Upside Down'. Nyte has also collaborated with members of The Cure, The Mission, Tricky, Peter Murphy's band and All About Eve.

'The Awakening' album is out now and can be ordered directly from the artist on vinyl, CD, digitally and limited-edition formats. It can also be found on Spotify and other fine digital platforms.  Tickets for live dates are available at  www.theawakening.com/live

MALPHAS Reawakens Early Darkness With New Single “The Conjuring”

Epic blackened melodeath conjurers MALPHAS unveil their latest offering, “The Conjuring”, out now via M-Theory Audio. A reimagining of one of the first songs the band ever wrote, the single fuses their raw early energy with the refined intensity of their modern sound.

Following the acclaim of their 2024 sophomore album Portal (M-Theory Audio), MALPHAS now look both forward and backward with “The Conjuring”, a track that serves as a creative bridge between their origins and the mythos of their upcoming third album.

“The Conjuring is one of the early tracks we recorded as a band - our songwriting was still in an embryonic state, so we decided to revisit it for the 10 year mark of our first release. We rewrote and rearranged parts of it in the vein of our modern sound and were pleasantly surprised by the result. The role of the Conjuror is central to the story of The 39th Spirit and will be linked to the events in our third album.” — Paul DeSanctis

With cinematic orchestration, blistering guitars, and a deep-rooted narrative core, “The Conjuring” reinforces Malphas’s position as a defining force in the evolving landscape of extreme metal.

To build momentum for their forthcoming third full-length, MALPHAS will hit the road this July on the Steel and Sorcery Tour in support of ICE GIANT, alongside CELESTIAL WIZARD, with special guests TROLLWAR on select dates. A Day To Remember’s Big Ole Album Vol. 1, which arrived earlier this year via an unorthodox physical-first release strategy, landed Top 10 on the Billboard charts before it ever hit streaming. The album features mega-hits “Miracle” (initially released as a stand-alone single in 2022), “Feedback”, “Make It Make Sense” and current single "All My Friends". The project has been widely praised by fans and media alike with Kerrang! calling it “a powerful, razor-sharp reminder of why ADTR still dominate,” while Rock Sound hailed the record as “a confident, explosive statement from a band whose creative well is nowhere near dry.

The Maximum Fun Tour marks A Day To Remember’s first major North American run since the album’s release and is guaranteed to be an all-out party, the likes of which only A Day To Remember can bring. Don’t miss the opportunity to catch the band firing on all party cannons as they bring their new album, and the brand new video for "All My Friends" to life in the live arena this fall.

With nearly 2 billion global streams, multiple Gold and Platinum singles, and a fiercely loyal global fanbase, they’ve built a legacy on unpredictability, energy, and unshakable connection. Their latest release, Big Ole Album Vol. 1, debuted to critical acclaim and commercial success — and marks a bold new era for the band.

Eric Church & nugs to Livestream July 14-16 Red Rocks Shows Celebrating 'Evangeline vs. The Machine'

With his new album Evangeline vs. The Machine earning widespread critical acclaim, including being named among the best of the year thus far by both Rolling Stone and Billboard, Eric Church and nugs, the leading platform for live concert streaming, invite fans around the globe to join the celebration as he brings a special three-night run of distinct performances to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. With the exclusive, pay-per-view (PPV) event unlike anything before covering the trilogy of shows July 14-16, fans can tune in as Church curates a unique, immersive experience for each show:

July 14: Eric Church vs. The Machine – a full-scale production featuring his band joined by a dynamic ensemble of strings, horns and choir combining to deliver an epic, must-see set.

July 15: Eric Church vs. The ECB – a raw, high-energy set with his original band, including longtime collaborator Joanna Cotten.

July 16: Eric Church vs. The Guitar – a stripped-down, intimate evening with Church delivering an acoustic performance like only he can.

With the in-demand shows having sold out almost immediately, fans everywhere will now be able to experience Church’s unpredictable, unforgettable artistry as it unfolds with all three nights streaming live exclusively at nugs.net/ericchurch as pay-per-view (PPV) events.

Available in both HD and 4K, the pay-per-view events can be purchased starting today, June 30 via the nugs mobile app on iOS and Android or online via nugs.net. While mobile and desktop are the points of purchase, the shows can also be streamed on the big screen via the nugs app on Roku or AppleTV.

Pricing is set at $24.99 per show in HD or $59.99 for the full three-night HD bundle. For those seeking the highest resolution experience, 4K streams are available for $29.99 per show or $74.99 for the 4K bundle. Members of the Church Choir will receive information directly on how to access a $10 discount on either bundle. Fans that are new to nugs can also select the “Buy & Subscribe” option to receive 50% off any single night PPV – and unlock the full nugs catalog of exclusive livestreams, official concert audio and more.

Church’s history at Red Rocks is one of legend. He made his debut in August 2007 and his August 2016 performance at the venue was captured for a PBS special, highlighted by his hauntingly beautiful cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” A roughly once-a-decade experience, this return to Red Rocks marks his first performance at the venue since that show.

The return follows the recent release of Evangeline vs. The Machine, which embodies the 10-time GRAMMY nominee’s uncompromising vision and genre-defying songwriting. The album is anchored by lead single “Hands of Time” which debuted as the most-added song at Country radio and earned Church a new personal record for first-week impact with 135 stations.

Church will also bring this next chapter of his critically acclaimed live show to fans in arenas coast to coast with his Free the Machine Tour kicking off a run of 22 arena dates on Sept. 12. Tickets to all shows on sale now.

SHADOW OF INTENT Drop New Single & Music Video "Mechanical Chaos"

Imperium Delirium has arrived. The highly anticipated new album from Shadow of Intent is out now via Blood Blast Distribution, marking a career-defining moment for one of metal’s most forward-moving and fiercely independent forces. The band have also shared a lyric video for the album’s crushing title track—watch it Below and stream or order the full record HERE.

Written and produced by guitarist Chris Wiseman with lyrics written by vocalist Ben Duerr, Imperium Delirium is as sonically unrelenting as it is thematically urgent—exploring the machinery of modern power through psychological horror, political decay, and a sound built on symphonic grandeur and technical brutality. Across eleven tracks, Shadow of Intent take aim at imperialism, drone warfare, mass surveillance, and the cold systems that dehumanize us all. The themes are grounded in reality, made visceral through punishing breakdowns, blackened textures, and surgical precision.

Speaking on today's album release, Chris Wiseman shares

“After countless writing sessions, abandoned ideas, and many years of patience, we are very proud to bring you Imperium Delirium. We couldn’t be happier to finally turn to this newest chapter of Shadow of Intent.”

Since their formation in 2014, Shadow of Intent have garnered a reputation for crafting mind-blowingly technical, prog tinged symphonic deathcore. Widely acknowledged as one of the forerunners of the current deathcore renaissance, the band's debut album 'Primordial' was named as one of Revolver Magazine's '15 Essential Deathcore Albums', with Metal Sucks giving their 2019 album 'Melancholy' a perfect 5/5 review, stating "you can expect Shadow of Intent to send echoes across metal for as long as they feel like making music". To date, they amassed over 203 million streams, 64 million YouTube Views and have 460,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

This fall, the band will take Imperium Delirium on the road as part of a stacked North American tour alongside Lorna Shore, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Peeling Flesh. Full dates below.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Daryl Hall, Dave Stewart Collaborate on Latest Live from Daryl’s House

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall will be joined by fellow inductee Dave Stewart on the latest episode of the award-winning web series, Live from Daryl’s House, available starting today on YouTube. The pair will perform songs from Hall’s sixth solo album, D, which came out on Virgin Records in June, 2024, his first solo effort in 13 years, with Stewart serving as co-producer and co-writer of seven of the nine original songs. Hall and Stewart will be joined by Australia singer/songwriter Vanessa Amorosi, who has recorded with Dave at Bay Street Records studios in the Bahamas.

“Great to be playing the D songs live with Dave on Live from Daryl’s House,” said Daryl. “I’ve been waiting for this.”

The collaboration with Stewart marked a return for the duo after Dave produced Hall’s second solo album, Three Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine, released in 1986. D spawned a pair of Top 20 hits on the AC charts in “The Whole World’s Better” and “Can’t Say No to You.”

“Dave has been my shadow partner since 1984,” said Daryl. “We know each other so well. This was a real duo album, two people coming together, understanding one another and writing songs, most of them on the spot. It’s a real 50-50 project. Dave and I have a real partnership and have had for a long time.”

“Daryl and I go way back,” said Eurythmics co-founder Stewart about the performance, filmed at Daryl’s House in Pawling, NY. “Since we first worked together, our friendship has lasted 40 years and writing songs together comes very naturally. Playing our new songs Live from Daryl’s House was great fun, as it always has been.”

The groundbreaking Live from Daryl’s House bowed in November 2007 on the web and returned after a five-year absence in October 2023 with episodes featuring Robert Fripp, Andy Grammer, Lisa Loeb and Howard Jones – a fellow Wolfson Entertainment client.

Meanwhile, Daryl Hall continues to tour with yet another LFDH alum in Glenn Tilbrook from Squeeze, which concluded its UK leg in May, and will launch its U.S. portion July 11 at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT. Further dates are listed below. Get your tickets HERE!

Forbidden Drop "Divided By Zero" Video — WATCH // Touring This Summer

Bay Area thrash legends FORBIDDEN return with the video for their first new song in over 15 years with "Divided By Zero."

Watch it below

And then watch it again, because it was well worth the wait.

"The opening riff for 'Divided By Zero' was the first thing Craig [Locicero] brought to the table as a new Forbidden song," the band states. The lyrics address the erosion of civility and society through divisive control of institutions, cultures, religion, and government. Without picking sides, 'Divided By Zero' points to anyone and everyone that partakes in this mass manipulation, willingly or unwittingly."

"The video for 'Divided By Zero' is the stuff of dystopian nightmares, depicting how influential words and propaganda of the few have power to sway the many," the band states. 'Robots and monsters — how most of us unwittingly end up being one or the other through the multiple institutions' relentless brainwashing and beating us down. All of the disturbing imagery, created by Ethan Renoe at Crumb Hill, visually captures the story perfectly, haunting, powerful, and poignant."

"'Divided By Zero" represents the bridge between classic and modern Forbidden. Recorded similarly to Forbidden Evil in approach: No samples, triggers, and no over-editing. Just a singer, two guitars, bass, and drums. A band. Raw with hair left on it! It represents Forbidden with new blood and fire. Norman Skinner is the only one who could take over Russ Anderson's dynamic vocal torch. Dan Mongrain and Chris Kontos level up energy and execution alongside original members Craig Locicero and Matt Camacho. This is Forbidden — reborn.

The band's forthcoming US and European summer tour dates are below.

LAINEY WILSON DEBUTS OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “SOMEWHERE OVER LAREDO”

Lainey Wilson unveils the official music video for her critically acclaimed new single, “Somewhere Over Laredo,” today, directed by decorated filmmaker TK McKamy (Tim McGraw, Reba, Darius Rucker).

Falling through a rabbit hole of nostalgia, Wilson embarks on a surreal adventure inspired by the timeless magic of The Wizard of Oz. In pursuit of love lost, Wilson takes a trip down the yellow brick road through symbolic memories as a mysterious cowboy lures her deeper into a lucid dream. Watch and share Below.

Continuing to receive overwhelming attention from fans and critics alike, “Somewhere Over Laredo” was the most added song at country radio at impact, garnered over 1.16 million streams across platforms in its first 24 hours (Wilson’s biggest first day of streaming to date) and earned praise from CBS Mornings, Rolling Stone and Billboard, the latter of which called it “one of her most commanding, dynamic vocal performances to date, crescendo-ing from a soft-focus, tender vocal, before gradually reaching into her upper register for powerful moments that heighten the song’s emotional acuity.”

The song is from the upcoming deluxe version of Wilson’s award-winning album, Whirlwind, set for release August 22 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville in celebration of the record’s one-year anniversary (pre-order/pre-save/pre-add here). In addition to Whirlwind’s original 14 songs, the new extended edition will feature five additional tracks: “Somewhere Over Laredo,” “Bell Bottoms Up,” “King Ranch, King George, King James,” “Yesterday, All Day, Every Day” and “Peace, Love, and Cowboys.”

The release adds to yet another triumphant year for the 16x ACM, 9x CMA and Grammy Award-winning artist, who won four awards at the 60th Annual ACM Awards earlier this spring: Entertainer of the Year (her second consecutive win), Female Artist of the Year (her third consecutive win), Album of the Year (Whirlwind) and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. During the awards ceremony, she also debuted new song, “Trailblazer,” with Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert, which she wrote with Lambert and Brandy Clark.

Additionally, Wilson is amid her nearly sold-out Whirlwind World Tour, which includes stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Austin’s Moody Center and Denver’s Ball Arena among many others. Whiskey Myers Return to the Road with New Band Baby & Top 40 Rock Single

Genre-defying band Whiskey Myers is officially back on the road tonight, June 23, picking up right where they left off after a brief hiatus in the What We Were Born To Do Tour as guitarist John Jeffers welcomed his second baby boy, with Ozzy Jak Jeffers joining the band family on June 18.

“There’s been a whole wide world out here waiting for you, my son! We love you,” shared Jeffers alongside the news of baby Ozzy’s arrival. “I know there was some confusion on the cancellations/postponed shows this week. Thank you guys for bearing with us!”

The return to touring also coincides with the band’s latest single, “Time Bomb,” exploding into the Top 40 of the Active Rock chart, further solidifying Whiskey Myers’ growing crossover appeal. Having arrived earlier this year as the first preview of Whomp Whack Thunder, their highly anticipated seventh studio album set to release Sept. 26 via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records, the song epitomizes the project as a whole in channeling the spirit of classic rock through a modern Southern lens. the album is available to pre-order/pre-save HERE.

Ahead of the fall release, fans can catch early previews of the new music with the What We Were Born To Do Tour, resuming tonight and hitting cities across the U.S. throughout the summer. Whiskey Myers also co-headlines 14 dates of the Live in 25 Tour with Tedeschi Trucks Band later this year in addition to headlining their own personally curated Moon Crush “Whiskey Moon” music vacation taking over Miramar Beach, Fla. Nov. 7-9.

About LIONS AT THE GATE:

Nestled in the creative heart of Los Angeles, LIONS AT THE GATE features an ensemble of seasoned musicians, including vocalist Cristian Machado, formerly of ILL NIÑO, alongside guitarists Diego Verduzco and Ahrue Luster, whose past stints with ILL NIÑO and MACHINE HEAD have seasoned their artistry. They are joined by bassist Stephen Brewer, previously of WESTFIELD MASSACRE, and drummer Josh Cuadra. Together, they burst onto the music scene with their electrifying debut single "Not Even Human," which rocketed to #3 on the Apple Metal charts, followed by "Bed of Nails," celebrated for its widespread acclaim on Billboard. Their debut album, The Excuses We Cannot Make, launched in August 2023, marking a bold new chapter and debuting on Billboard's Top 100, Top New Artists, and Heatseekers charts. LIONS AT THE GATE have shared stages with icons like LACUNA COIL and NITA STRAUSS and look forward to igniting the crowds at Inkcarceration 2024.

As they leave their past projects behind, these artists fully embrace their creative freedom and fresh inspiration. Machado's vocals are at their peak, masterfully blending grace and aggression, while the expert instrumentation of Verduzco, Luster, Brewer and Cuadra add dynamic layers and enhance the emotional impact of each note. The band maintains its signature heavy dynamics, anchored by powerful choruses that perfectly complement the robust rhythms of their music.
