German Symphonic Metal Icons XANDRIA Present Album's Title Track "Eclipse"

Just a few days ahead of the release of their new album, Eclipse, dropping this Friday, German symphonic metal icons XANDRIA unveil the record's title track and final single alongside an official music video. "Eclipse" showcases the exceptional versatility of vocalist Ambre Vourvahis, highlighting the full range of her remarkable voice: From soft, emotional passages and powerful rock vocals to intense growls and soaring operatic sections. Bringing all of these vocal styles together in a single metal song, performed by one singer, is a truly rare achievement.

Driven by heavy guitars and dramatic orchestral arrangements, the German band, with a career spanning more than 30 years and numerous high-charting releases, continues to raise the bar. They demonstrated exactly that last weekend with their appearance on Germany's ZDF-Fernsehgarten, one of the country's most popular television shows.

Fans can experience XANDRIA's captivating live performance this Saturday on the main stage at Germany's M'era Luna Festival, where the band will celebrate the release of Eclipse. They will then embark on an extensive European tour, kicking off this September.

Watch the official music video for "Eclipse" Below.

With their latest album (2023) being XANDRIA's most successful release to date, entering the Official German Album Charts at #9, the upcoming Eclipse, releasing this Friday, August 7 via Napalm Records, is taking the band on their most diverse path yet. It features eleven tracks that represent the most diverse body of work in the band's discography so far: every song has its own identity—a journey full of discoveries—yet they all belong to the same world. Classic, '80s-inspired metal riffs stand alongside low-tuned modern metal guitars, cinematic orchestral sounds meet Celtic folk influences, and dark electronic elements blend with intimate rock moments, even including a guitar solo that owes more to Pink Floyd than to any metal genre.

Eclipse marks XANDRIA's most outspoken and cinematic album so far: A dark, colourful, and defiant statement for reason, empathy, and democracy in times when all three are under attack, brought to life by a band fueled with new energy, new ambitions, and a clear artistic direction, aiming higher than ever and not looking back!

STELLAR CIRCUITS RELEASE NEW SINGLE 'IN THE SMOKE'

Alternative metal innovators STELLAR CIRCUITS have unveiled their powerful new single, ‘In the Smoke,’ alongside an official visualizer, available today via Nuclear Blast Records.

Following an impressive run of standalone releases throughout 2026, including ‘Spotlight,’ ‘Wounded Healer,’ and ‘Stargazer,’ ‘In the Smoke’ finds STELLAR CIRCUITS continuing to expand their signature blend of crushing heaviness, immersive atmosphere, and emotionally charged songwriting. Equal parts forceful and introspective, the track further demonstrates the band's ability to balance technical precision with deeply expressive composition.

Moving between driving intensity and moments of fragile restraint, ‘In the Smoke’ explores the uneasy space where clarity dissolves into fixation. Crushing riffs give way to disoriented calm as the song lingers in themes of failure, surrender, and obsession, capturing the feeling of becoming consumed by something that clouds every thought until nothing else remains in focus.

‘IN THE SMOKE’ VISUALIZER BELOW:

Released in late 2025 to widespread praise from fans and critics alike, Phantom :: Phoenix represented a defining moment for STELLAR CIRCUITS, showcasing the band's ability to merge progressive complexity, crushing heaviness, and cinematic atmosphere with deeply personal songwriting. Exploring themes of rebirth, perseverance, and self-discovery through tracks such as ‘I See Your Spirit,’ ‘Corridor,’ and ‘Bury The Ashes,’ the album further cemented the band's reputation for crafting emotionally resonant music without sacrificing technical prowess or intensity.

Building on that momentum, STELLAR CIRCUITS have spent 2026 on an impressive creative run, releasing a string of standalone singles including ’Spotlight,’ ‘Wounded Healer,’ ‘Stargazer’ and now ‘In The Smoke.’ Each release has further expanded the band's sonic palette while reinforcing the dynamic songwriting and emotional depth that continue to define their evolution.

Later this year, STELLAR CIRCUITS will embark on an extensive European tour with EVERGREYand IGNEA, bringing their latest material to fans across the continent.

Stoned Jesus Announce New Album Songs to Moon

After 15 years of trailblazing across doom metal, grunge, psychedelic and art rock, no height is too steep a climb for Stoned Jesus. The heavy progressive rockers are reaching a new creative peak with their forthcoming album trilogy. Its opening chapter, Songs to Sun, rose atop best of 2025 lists at Doom Charts, Rock Hard, The Obeliskand other critical institutions. Now, frontman Igor Sydorenko and his two bandmates are cycling into the darkest, most daring and deeply moving territory of their career with Songs to Moon.

“We started The Songs trilogy last year with Songs to Sun, which is a loud and heavy album that’s big on choruses and meaty riffs” Sydorenko says. “While still heavy and catchy, Songs to Moon follows a similar trajectory to Led Zeppelin III, Opeth’s Damnation or Jar of Flies by Alice In Chains. The songs are recognizably Stoned Jesus, but they are bolder, more haunting and introspective than anything we’ve done before”.

Today, Stoned Jesus are announcing Songs to Moon with a ‘90s-style music video for the album’s lead single. While floating endlessly amidst uncertainty, the doomgaze of “Velvet” hits hard with one of the band’s biggest hooks.

“This song answers the question: What if Nirvana was shoegaze?”, Sydorenko teases.

Watch the music video for “Velvet” below:

Songs to Moon comes out October 16, 2026 on Season of Mist.

The Songs trilogy spans all phases of Stoned Jesus. Like dusk, Songs to Moon opens in the shadow of Songs to Sun. Previously released single “Under the Skin” plunged the band into a dark night of the soul with loud and heavy slabs of post-metal.

Songs to Moon discovers a more introspective side to Stoned Jesus, “I’ve noticed that in a lot of our songs, the narrator is either falling or starting to lose the ground under their feet”, Sydorenko says. “When writing ‘Velvet’, I asked myself, what’s next? What do I want to find once I reach the bottom? Or do I just want the fall to go on forever”.

Even on their most melancholic album, Stoned Jesus can’t be confined to just one shade of blue. With its grungy riffs and grainy video treatment, “Velvet” would slide into heavy rotation on MTV’s 120 Minutes. “Where will I end up / I never know”, Sydorenko sings with cool remove. As steadily pounding drums, harsh backing vocals from bassist Andrew Rodin and Sydorenko’s howling guitar solo push the song to the brink, it’s loud and clear that the band are only going up from here.

The video for “Velvet” was created by Mykyta Donets.

Catch Stoned Jesus this summer on the European festival circuit.

Following in the steps of Led Zeppelin III, Opeth’s Damnation or Alice In Chain’s Jar of Flies, during its final lap, Songs to Moon strips down to acoustic guitar and Sydorenko’s hushed vocals. “And when the sun goes down / It brightens up my mood”. As the dreamy desperation of “Window In My Room” fades beneath the stark reminder of closer “One More Empty Day”, Stoned Jesus return to earth weary but wise beyond their years and ready to explore the next frontier.

IGNEA Release Video for "Darkness" Single

Ukrainian modern metal architects IGNEA further open the doors to their upcoming album Monumental, out on October 23 via Napalm Records, with the second single, "Darkness." The song sets the emotional foundation for the album, which is set around the concept of nostalgia. "Darkness" explores finding comfort in memories, even if they reveal cracks. Native to Kyiv, IGNEA have their own fair share of those, so the new song inevitably takes a bittersweet turn. Shifting between eerie, melancholic verses and grandiose, uplifting choruses before crescendoing into a live choir set against raw blast beats, the new song mirrors the emotional swing of nostalgia itself, the drift into shadow followed by sudden bursts of longing.

"Darkness" is paired with a music video shot in Ukraine's capital city. The walk through Kyiv captures an additional theme of the album — the walk past modernist buildings representing a future that never arrived. Part of the video was filmed at the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture — symbolically vital for an album about urban nostalgia, as its halls carry the energy of generations of students who trained there to build the very structures the video mourns.

With the very same buildings that once only held innocent memories of the band's upbringing now being destroyed by the war, the imagery adds a second, bitter layer to the nostalgia. It's not just longing for the past, but grief for what is disappearing in real time. In a cruel coincidence, IGNEA shot the video for "Darkness" in the literal darkness of the largest missile and drone attacks on Kyiv that hit the night before shooting.

Helle Bohdanova about "Darkness":
"'Darkness' is about the rides we take into nostalgia when the present gets too heavy — and how bittersweet it is to realize you can never actually go back. As all IGNEA members are from Kyiv, we wanted to make a nostalgic ode to our city, walking through its memory — the same modernist buildings that once promised a future, the subway stations, the same streets that hold our childhoods, our first kisses, people we've lost. The war, in its turn, adds its own layer of darker nostalgia, watching those buildings burn in real time — and it heavily affected both days of filming. On the first day, one of the worst missile attacks on Kyiv hit the night before — we hadn't slept at all, running on nothing but adrenaline, and the city was still on fire as we drove to the location. On the second, we filmed through the city with sirens and drones overhead. Considering this, we're living in literal darkness, longing for the peaceful, trouble-free days... Can we ever get back?"

Watch the Official Music Video For "Darkness" Below:

Monumental is IGNEA's second full-length album that was written during the full-scale war in Ukraine. The recording process mostly took place in the winter of 2025-2026, during icy temperatures and long power outages in Kyiv.

Helle Bohdanova says about Monumental:
"Back in the 17th century, nostalgia was considered a deadly disease — and in many ways, it still is. It's a universal feeling experienced by every human being, pulling us toward a past that felt gentler than it truly was, especially during the bitter moments of the present. Much of this album was inspired by modernist architecture — concrete giants built to signal progress and a brighter future, now slowly decaying. They've become a sort of memory box: Monuments to unrealized dreams, where the future that was once imagined never arrived, yet continues to echo through the ruins and bright mosaics."

Future Palace Release "Nixy" Video — WATCH // "Resurgence" Out Now

Germany's FUTURE PALACE unleashed their fourth album RESURGENCE on July 31 via Century Media. Listen and get it here

The album is a powerful exploration of isolation, inner conflict, and the struggle to rebuild oneself. Blending post-hardcore intensity with cinematic electronics, soaring melodies, and crushing breakdowns, the Berlin trio dives deep into themes of depression, doubt, and emotional transformation. Ultimately, Resurgence captures the fragile moment where despair slowly turns into strength — and is proof of the redemptive power of music.

Today, they release the video for "Nixy." Watch it below.

"'Nixy' stands out because it focuses on riffs and has an upbeat chorus, which makes the song deliver a unique tension," says guitarist Manuel Kohlert. "Playing it feels like a rollercoaster ride that is over way too quick."

Future Palace will spend the bulk of 2026 touring, with festival appearances and a fall tour on deck. All dates are below, including a return to the U.S. to appear at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville in September.

LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE Announce "Lay Me Down O Silent Fear" Album + Share Video for New Single

Four years have passed since Lacrimas Profundere's last full-length album. During this time, they have played well over 100 concerts, including the biggest festivals in Europe, crowned by a European tour supporting their greatest idols, the band Paradise Lost, in autumn 2025!

When a band has been around for 33 years, they mean business and can look back on an eventful history. With the brilliant chart positions of their previous albums, awards such as "Album of the Month", sold-out clubs on their tours, festivals and shows in 40 countries to date, and their ever-growing fanbase, Lacrimas Profundere have already achieved a great deal. But with their new album, they want more, dream bigger, and continue on their path with unwavering determination.
That is the very definition of rock 'n' roll.

What would *Bohemian Rhapsody* sound like if *Bring Me the Horizon* were to cover it?

"We don't know, but at least we tried," says Oliver Nikolas Schmid with a grin, and the opening track "Days Of Doom" answers the question immediately, leaving no doubt: Exactly like that! The song charges across a Mad Max-like wasteland like a herd of wild horses.

Never before has a gothic and metalcore been as close as they are in the song "Faceless." Rarely has a ballad been as captivating and multifaceted as "Veil XV," and it is not often that a Goth rock hit like "Nevermore" stands side by side with the almost Slipknot-like "Sinful Desire." Whether it is the ultra-catchy "Arcane Promises," reminiscent of the great old Sentenced days, the tête-à-tête between Arch Enemy and HIM on "O Silent Fear," or "Heart I Will Break You, Before You Break Me," which feels as though Anathema had suddenly invited Glen Danzig to take over the microphone, Lacrimas Profundere consistently demonstrate their unique talent for profound and exciting songwriting.

No matter which song you choose, the band members have finally emerged from their protective gothic cocoon and present the most spectacular album in their history. Every note reveals a band that refuses to choose between gothic, heavy metal, brutality, darkness, modernity, or old school—simply because there is no reason to.

The debut single "O Silent Fear" became a blend of Amorphis, Arch Enemy and HIM. If someone had told the band such a song existed, it would have wanted to hear it immediately. So for everyone out there who feels the same: Now you finally can!

DROWNING POOL & SALIVA Announce Co-Headlining U.S. Tour Celebrating 25 Years of Sinner and Every Six Seconds

Twenty-five years after releasing two of the most recognizable albums in modern hard rock, Drowning Pool and Saliva are joining forces for a special co-headlining U.S. tour celebrating the legacies of Sinner and Every Six Seconds.

Launching October 8 and running through October 25, the tour brings together two bands whose breakout records became the soundtrack of the early 2000s. Rather than looking back, both acts are bringing the energy that made them festival favorites while continuing to evolve with new music, new lineups, and decades of road-tested performances.

Released in 2001, Drowning Pool's debut album Sinner became one of the defining heavy records of its era, propelled by timeless anthems including "Bodies," "Tear Away," and "Sinner." The album helped launch the band onto the global stage and remains a cornerstone of modern hard rock.

That same year, Saliva exploded onto radio with Every Six Seconds, delivering unforgettable hits including "Click Click Boom," "Your Disease,"and "Always." The album established the band as one of the era's biggest rock acts and continues to resonate with fans more than two decades later.

"We are beyond grateful and thankful to still be here rockin out with everyone after 25 Years of Letting the Bodies Hit the Floor!  Looking forward to sharing the stage on tour again with our friends in Saliva performing the 25th Anniversary of two amazing albums! A very sincere thank you to all of the amazing friends and family who have supported us throughout this Rock & Roll Roller coaster ride that we’ve all had together! Come share this once in a lifetime experience of celebrating 25 years of Sinner with us!" says CJ Pierce.

JOHN COFFEY Announces New Album "Not Alone" + Shares Video for "It's You"

Dutch punk and rock 'n' roll powerhouse John Coffey have announced their new studio album, Not Alone, out October 9 via Long Branch Records. Not Alone is about the power of connection. About discovering that there are other people who feel what you feel. Whether you find that connection through a partner, a friend, a helpline, or a room full of people feeling the same music. Talking helps. Singing helps. Screaming along helps.

Alongside the album announcement, John Coffey have also unveiled their powerful new single "It's You."

"Sometimes we meet someone who reminds us that we're not alone. Someone who sees us, understands us, and makes us feel that our experiences truly matter," comments the band. "'It's you' is not a love song to one person, but a celebration of human connection. It's dedicated to everyone who deserves to know they matter, and to those who make a difference in another person's life, often without even realizing it."

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH RELEASE "LEGACY," THE DEFINING ALBUM OF A 20-YEAR CAREER, + NEW SONG "NAILS IN THE COFFIN" — LISTEN

Twenty years and 10 albums into one of the most successful hard rock careers of the modern era, Five Finger Death Punch today released Legacy, the record the band regards as the definitive statement of everything they are. The album arrives on the heels of current single "Eye Of The Storm," delivering the band's 18th No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, extending their own record for the most consecutive No. 1s in the chart's 45-year history. Few bands reach a 20th anniversary. Fewer still reach it at the height of their commercial power.

Revolver praised the track's blend of battering riffs and melody driven by Ivan Moody's introspective vocal performance, while Loudwire called it "a furious opening statement for the new album cycle."

Founding guitarist  Zoltan Bathory left no doubt about where Legacy stands in the band's catalog: "This album is our loud and clear answer to the question of whether a band can stay true to the signature sound that has become the soundtrack to millions of fans' daily lives and still write something new and exciting. Legacy is an absolute monster, an unapologetic monument to how far we've come, and a clear signal that we're not even thinking about slowing down. If you asked me to pick the one record that best represents the essence of this band, I would hand you this one."

Alongside the album, the band today unleashes new song "Nails In The Coffin" (listen below). Bathory offered his perspective on the track: "Ivan never defines the meaning of his lyrics. He doesn't want to rob the fans of their own interpretation, so a song means whatever it's supposed to mean to each listener. That's by design, and I love that about him. But to me, 'Nails In The Coffin' is about burying the things that tried to bury us. Every doubt, every prediction that we wouldn't last, every catastrophe that was supposed to be the last nail in our coffin. 20 years later, we are still here and we're the ones holding the hammer."

Five Finger Death Punch are currently on the first leg of the 20th Anniversary World Tour which takes the band all across North America with special guest Cody Jinks and Eva Under Fire before hitting arenas in the UK/EU with Lamb Of God and Bleed From Within in early 2027.

The 20th Anniversary World Tour is both a celebration and a statement, honoring the band's journey from their 2005 formation and release of their debut album,The Way Of The Fist, in 2007 to global arena headliners. The tour will showcase material from the new album, alongside classic anthems and #1 hits that defined the past two decades. Produced by Live Nation and sponsored by Punch'd Energy, the 48-city North American tour is currently underway and will wrap up in Bristow, VA at Jiffy Lube Live on October 23.

In addition to celebrating two decades of music, the band is once again using its platform to give back. Long recognized as one of the most charitable bands in rock, Five Finger Death Punch has spent decades giving back to various causes, including U.S. military veterans and first responders and their families. In 2026, the band is continuing that tradition by supporting Team USA and aligning with the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games being held on American soil in Los Angeles in 2028. As part of the tour's commitment to championing America's next generation of athletes, a portion of the ticket sales from the 2026 North American Tour will benefit high-performance programs for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes as they prepare for international competition.

For more information on Five Finger Death Punch, all 2026 North America + 2027 European tour dates, and VIP offerings, visit fivefingerdeathpunch.com.

The band's previous albums, Best Of – Volume 1 and Best Of – Volume 2 are available HERE and feature newly re-recorded versions of Five Finger Death Punch's biggest hits from the past two decades.

President Share "dark heaven" Video — WATCH // "BLOOD OF YOUR EMPIRE" Out 9/4

Multi-million streaming, UK-based collective PRESIDENT continue to exist at the intersection of heavy music, electronic experimentation, and cinematic atmosphere.

They will release BLOOD OF YOUR EMPIRE, their debut full length, on September 4 via Atlantic Records. Pre-order it here.

Ahead of the release, the band shared the visualizer for "dark heaven." Watch it Below:

"'dark heaven' is a reflection on the contradictions of faith, and how something intended to unite humanity has so often been used to justify division, violence, and power. It's about the way greed can wear the mask of righteousness,' President say. "It isn't an attack on belief itself; it's about searching for something real beneath the noise, and asking what remains when certainty begins to crumble."

One could certainly regard "dark heaven" as a personal state of the union address from President. The track's seasick distortion drains into a buoyant 808-laden beat during the verses. The song goes for broke with a command on the pre-chorus:"Gather ‘round children, sing Hallelujah." A glitchy and detuned riff takes over, giving way to a powerful confession: "I used to stare at the cross and cry out for God, but I’m not the person I was."

The accompanying visual records the actual first reactions of various fans hearing "dark heaven" for the first time in a church. Their feelings spill across their faces, but it’s another magnetic anthem from alternative metal’s incumbent supreme leader.

"Blood Of Your Empire was born out of my own struggle with existential crisis and trying to make sense of belief, mortality, and humanity's relationship with faith," President says. "Religion has inspired incredible compassion, purpose, and beauty in the world — but it has also been responsible for unimaginable suffering and bloodshed throughout history. This album lives in the tension between those two truths. Writing it became a way for me to confront the fear, confusion, and questions I've carried for years, and turn them into something I'm truly proud of."

The album cover is a Eugène Delacroix painting, The Battle of Poitiers, which, consequently, hangs in the Louvre.

Launching in 2025 and operating under the cloak of minimalism and anonymity, PRESIDENT have been cultivating intrigue with each single and live performance. Refusing to conform to the traditional structures of genre or identity, PRESIDENT prioritize intent over image.

Fresh off their first-ever full U.S. run supporting Bad Omens, PRESIDENT will return this fall to headline venues across the continent. The live campaigns will feature support from Cenobia and Showing Teeth on select dates. The tour is set to kick off September 4 at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, making stops across the U.S in Chicago, New York, Toronto, Boston, Atlanta, Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles. and more before wrapping up in Dallas at House of Blues on October 14.

The entire tour is already sold out.

About SEVEN KINGDOMS:

SEVEN KINGDOMS, a power metal band hailing from Deland, FL, was formed in 2007. After solidifying their lineup in 2009, the band signed with Nightmare Records and began gaining momentum in the metal scene. Their big break came in 2010 when they were handpicked by BLIND GUARDIAN to support their North American tour, which introduced SEVEN KINGDOMS to a wider audience. Following this, they played notable tours and festivals, including ProgPower USA and the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise, while releasing The Fire is Mine in 2012, which marked a pivotal moment in their career with its refined sound and strong reception.

In recent years, SEVEN KINGDOMS has continued to expand their reach with international tours alongside acts like STRATOVIRUS, AMARANTHE and EVERGREY. The band’s latest full-length album, Zenith (2022), was released through Distortion Music Group, further cementing their place in the power metal world where they were featured as the sole support for the first US Tour of POWERWOLF and then with WIND ROSE in the USA and Europe shortly after. In 2024, they released their highly anticipated EP, The Square, under Reigning Phoenix Music which hit the stages in Europe with UNLEASH THE ARCHERS and again with BLIND GUARDIAN 15 years later in North America. With world-wide touring view on the horizon, SEVEN KINGDOMS continues to elevate their status in the global metal scene.

Ferociously melodic in their approach, the quartet fuse high octane energy and intensity with compelling harmonies in their charismatic, modern take on power metal. With recording for the new album, Sono Sola, now complete, SEVEN KINGDOMS are gearing up to ignite this next chapter.

Guitarist Eric Steckel Announces "Sandstorm" Out 9/11 + Shares "She's a Goldigger"

Internationally acclaimed blues-rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter Eric Steckel has announced the release of his brand-new studio album Sandstorm on September 11 via OPEN/SPV Recordings

To coincide with the album announcement, Steckel has released "She’s A Golddigger" — another glimpse into the new album. Stream the single and pre-order the album here.

Watch the video below.

"'She's a Golddigger' is just plain fun," comments Eric Steckel. "It was one of the songs that I just couldn't wait to record for this album and I can't wait for you guys to hear it. The lyrics are just hilarious, very relatable, especially to those who are musicians or in the arts. But even if you're not, I think you'll get a kick out of this song."

In an era where pedalboards, laptops, and samples have become commonplace, American blues rock/metal guitarist and singer Eric Steckel goes against the grain and harkens his listeners back to the days when great guitars were played loudly through great amps. Hailed by many as the top rising star of blues and rock, Steckel delivers a powerhouse performance that has left audiences in 30 countries (and counting) mesmerized.

Steckel has toured worldwide, sharing the billing with Steve Vai, Gregg Allman, Johnny Winter, John Mayall, Ray Charles, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, and others, and was voted into Total Guitar magazine's list of "The 100 Greatest Blues Guitarists of All Time."

"My forthcoming new album, Sandstorm is the most fun I've had making a record in my career thus far," comments Steckel. "The incredible vibe in the studio brought forth tons of new and spontaneous material such as the title track 'Sandstorm,' which instantly became my favorite track on this album and a perfect representation of this body of work."

About AGNOSTIC FRONT:
Founded in 1982, AGNOSTIC FRONT stand among the most esteemed pioneers of the hardcore genre. No band comes close in sonic and socio authenticity and sincerity, where the struggles of survival on the streets have quite literally given life to a sound that remains as impactful today as it was over four decades ago. AGNOSTIC FRONT‘s battering, socially critical sounds serve as the foundation of true New York hardcore and helped initiate the emergence of crossover thrash. Following a slew of pummeling offerings, the band, led by the inimitable roar of Roger Miret and Vinnie Stigma's legendary charismatic guitar playing, continue to showcase unapologetically honest lyrics and signature aggression in Echoes in Eternity.

Insomnium Descend Into Darkness With "Gleam in the Black" Video

Finland's undisputed masters of melancholy INSOMNIUM are unveiling their latest single and video "Gleam in the Black," offering an even deeper descent into darkness and the shadowy realms beyond. Blending haunting melodies with crushing heaviness, the track captures the essence of the band's signature sound while exploring the emotional depths that define their upcoming album.

Vocalist/bassist Niilo Sevänen comments, "Being one of the faster songs on the new album, this is a track that should get the crowd moving when played live. It definitely carries a classic INSOMNIUM spirit. The lyrics tell a dark and mysterious love story, capturing the mood and atmosphere of the entire album. We are doomed to wander the nightly woods, searching for something lost long ago, something we can reach only in our dreams. That single gleam of light amidst the blackness."

Atmospheric, powerful, and deeply evocative, "Gleam in the Black" serves as another glimpse into the album's haunting world, where beauty and despair walk hand-in-hand.

Immerse yourself in the darkness and experience the song's captivating visual counterpart, directed and produced by Patric Ullaeus of rEvolver Film Company AB, whose cinematic vision perfectly captures the track's bleak yet mesmerizing atmosphere below.

"Gleam in the Black" is the second track from their upcoming album, Netherworlds, set for a release on October 16. The band previously released "Shadowlife."

Heavy Music Disruptor Showing Teeth Shares "Bad Exchanges" — LISTEN // EP Out In September // Signs With Republic/Spinefarm

After quietly emerging as one of extreme music's most talked-about artists this year, acclaimed Nashville-based sonic alchemist SHOWING TEETH unleashes a venomous new single in the form of "Bad Exchanges."

Listen here.

Additionally, she has signed a freshly minted partnership with Republic Records and Spinefarm — as officially announced.

Next up, SHOWING TEETH will unveil her much-anticipated debut EP, A Fate Worse Than Loneliness, dropping on September 4 via Republic Records + Spinefarm. Pre-order/Pre-save here

On "Bad Exchanges," a woozy beat anxiously tosses and turns beneath her seething verses. Distortion groans, electronics squeal, and a chugging detuned groove explodes in tandem with a high-pitched scream. Amidst the chaos, raw emotion spills out like blood from an open wound as she wonders: "Why can't I just be happy? This feeling always ends." It concludes with an unbridled burst of intense catharsis awash in grainy feedback.

Stay tuned for the premiere of an equally powerful music video to accompany the track.

The song lands in the wake of "Rip," which has already amassed over 1 million streams and counting. Revolver touted it among the 6 Best New Songs Right Now," raving: "Beyond that textual heaviness, Showing Teeth goes next level berserk with her feral shrieks."

This fall, she will hit the road as support to President on the band's sold-out North American Campaign 2026 for six weeks across North America. This run commences on September 4 in Nashville, TN at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, visits major markets coast-to-coast, and closes out on October 14 in Dallas, TX at House of Blues Dallas. All dates are below.

Experience A Fate Worse Than Loneliness and more to come from Showing Teeth this fall.

TEMIC Announce Mighty and Magical Second Album 'Ceiba'

From the moment they joined forces, TEMIC appeared as a dream come true for prog fans everywhere. The international supergroup features current and former members of Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress, Neal Morse Band, Haken, Shining, Maraton and Big City. The group’s chart-topping debut lived up to the hype, but on their upcoming new album, Ceiba, they’ve grown by leaps and bounds.

Today, TEMIC are officially announcing the mighty and magical Ceiba with a soul-stirring video for the album’s lead single. While rattled by the encroaching shadow of death, “Ceased To Be” positively ascends by crossing the threshold between progressive metal, pop and hard rock.

Ceiba is a concept album about loss in all its various forms”, TEMIC says. “While more progressive than our first album, the songs are driven by honesty and emotions. ‘Ceased To Be’ is told from the perspective of someone who’s dying, while surrounded by their loved ones. Death is not feared nor resisted. Rather, it is observed as a sacred rite of passage”.

Ceiba comes out October 2, 2026 on Season of Mist

The video for “Ceased To Be” was directed by Cesar Mendiburu. It was filmed in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, beneath a Ceiba tree and inside a cenote, where Ah Puch, the Mayan god of death, welcomes a woman to the afterlife.

“Since the moment I received the invitation to be a part of ‘Cease To Be’, I felt an immediate calling to say yes”, actress Anna Kirse says. “Representing all the joy and pain of life, its transformation after death, and the relief of letting go in absolute surrender resonated with me immediately. It was a beautiful artistic challenge”.

“Filming the underwater scenes was a profound experience for me as well. It required me to face my own fear of disappearing beneath the water. Surrendering to the unknown and trusting that I was safe became a significant moment of growth for me. Every day of filming was filled with magic, creativity, genuine collaboration and incredible team spirit. I am deeply grateful, truly happy and very proud to be part of this video”.

No matter how deep Ceiba digs into philosophical terrain, TEMIC continue to branch out in all directions both literally and figuratively. The album treats loss not as an end but as one more step along life’s path. “Your soul will never die”, assures lead single “Ceased To Be”, which crosses between prog’s technical sorcery and pop’s divine melodies with relative ease thanks to shrewd guidance from the group’s newest member and bassist Miguel Pereira (Withem, Big City). Supported by swaying leads, towering cleans and firm groove, 10-minute closer “As Long As We Last” promises to stay with us long after its final epic solo.

“We wrote this album together with contributions from all five members”, the band says. “We allowed ourselves to explore the songs and really extend ourselves while always keeping the emotions at the front of our minds”.

With Ceiba, TEMIC return with a thunderous ode of prog.

FROZEN CROWN Release New Single "Reborn" + Video! — WATCH + LISTEN

Italian heavy power metal band FROZEN CROWN share the second single from their upcoming album, The Legend of the Six Kings, out October 2 via Napalm Records. "Reborn" is a powerful anthem of steadfastness as well as a bolstering tale about team spirit, perfectly encompassing the more narrative approach the band takes with their new album. With infinitely catchy "Reborn." FROZEN CROWN also show magnificent instrumental abilities through a majestic guitar solo.

Drummer Niso Tomasini about "Reborn":
"'Reborn' continues the narrative arc begun with 'The One,' with bright light manifesting a rebirth after dark. As Samwise Gamgee said, 'Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer.' On this track, vocalist Giada 'Jade' Etro's voice takes some melancholic shades in the verses that find a great contrast in the powerful and cheerful anthemic choruses, running on a more straightforward, hard-and-heavy-inspired rhythm. In the video clip, our director Raoul Noise captured the band’s new dark fantasy aesthetic on a clear white background, embracing the theme of frost while keeping FROZEN CROWN’s signature live-performance approach, showing the energy and the alchemy between the band members."

Watch the Official Music Video for "Reborn" Below:

FROZEN CROWN about The Legend of the Six Kings:
"With our sixth album—our second on Napalm Records—we continue our search for the quintessential FROZEN CROWN tune, distilling the key elements of our sound and style into increasingly concise and straightforward songs, stripping away all unnecessary frills.

"The Legend of the Six Kings draws directly from our debut album The Fallen King, continuing the saga of the Kings and the Tyrant, as we are—thanks to a brilliant newly extended team—finally able to do justice to what we had in mind with the original concept of the band. The visionary genius of Raoul Noise (the video maker behind all our new videos and band photos), the masterful craftsmanship of Daria Gislon (who designed and built the throne and the literal 'frozen crown') and of course the outstanding artistic talent of Sheila Franco (who hand painted our album cover art) gave life to the vibrant, obscure, frozen world we had in mind since the very beginning of the band, somewhere between J. R. R. Tolkien’s harmonious and regal aesthetics and Robert E. Howard's brutality.

"The Legend of the Six Kings brings not only new visuals, but also an empowered sound, with the young war hearts getting older on the battlefield and becoming an increasingly leading force of the Crown (with drummer and multi-instrumentalist Niso Tomasini becoming a more integral part of the songwriting together with singer Giada 'Jade' Etro and mastermind Federico Mondelli) and new warriors joining our ranks (Aleksandra Stamenkovic and her scorching, old school, abrasive guitar leads).

This sixth album depicts the strength of our six band members, and our personal idea of Power Metal infused in ten catchy tracks touching the most varied nuances of the genre, from raw and uncompromising Speed Metal, to the sumptuous magniloquence of Symphonic Metal, to the occasional linear chaos of Melodic Death Metal, but always sounding as FROZEN CROWN as ever!"

Done. Sayonara. Finito. However you want to say it, Ministry is coming to an end. But before bidding adieu, creator and music madman Al Jourgensen has a few final things to say about the state of the world, those in charge and how we should all collectively move forward.

He gets it all off his chest in Ministry’s final album Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery) coming October 30 on Cleopatra Records. Ministry released a first taste of the album with the single and video for single “Burned Out.”

On marking the end of an era, Jourgensen shares, “I’m fucking done. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’m amazed at the path that it’s taken, from With Sympathy to where we’re at today, and all points in between. It’s been quite a ride, but I’m completely at peace with the fact that it’s done. It’s time to herd goats.”

Notably, Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery)Ministry’s 17th release—features one final collaboration with legacy member Paul Barker on the final album track “We’re Still Here,” alongside the handiwork of current Ministry bandmates, guitarists Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto, bassist Paul D’ Amour, sampler/synth player John Bechdel and drummer Pepe Clarke Magaña.
