The Pretty Wild Unleash New Track "Omens" + Official Music Video via Sumerian Records

Rising metaphysical metalcore powerhouse The Pretty Wild has today unleashed their powerful new track "Omens" and the accompanying visualizer, with an official music video to follow (via Sumerian Records). When asked about the track, Jylshared:

"'OMENS' is an anthem for those done performing. Our song calls out the masks we all are subconsciously conditioned to wear to survive in life and the tragic loops they lead us into. It's about finally choosing inner truth over applause, and the painful realization that to find true coherence, the mask must be ripped off, along with the life, lies, and illusions built around it.”

Prior to today, The Pretty Wild first released the official "sLeepwALKeR" music video through their new label home, which climbed theTikTok Viral Music Charts to #43 with over 15k organic creations on the platform. The sister duo next shared "Button Eyes" which is now at Active Rock radio. Together, the tracks have already amassed a staggering 11.7 million streams across streaming platformswith nearly 700k views on YouTube. The Pretty Wild also joined forces with Kittie and Diamante to release an emotionally gripping cover of Metallica's "The Unforgiven" for the 'Queen of the Ring' official motion picture soundtrack. The sister duo previously released their smash hit "sLeepwALkeR"which has already surpassed 5.6 million Spotify streams, with the official video already amassing 381k views on YouTube. Most recently, The Pretty Wild joined forces with Kittie and Diamante on the 'Queen Of The Ring' official movie soundtrack for their haunting reimagination of Metallica's legendary classic, "The Unforgiven", available on all streaming platforms at the link here. Speaking about "Button Eyes", the band shares:

"This song is for anyone who’s ever felt objectified, used or controlled. It’s about the moment you consciously break free from manipulation and you sever ties with that toxicity for good. We used dolls as a vessel for this theme, mostly as a way to blend playful melodies and imagery in a way that lightens a heavy conversation topic." - jules 

"'Button Eyes' explores the theme of disillusionment with life and the process of reclaiming personal power. The song cheekily pokes at the painful process of breaking free from the misleading beliefs that held us back and stepping into our truth. Kittie, The Pretty Wild & Diamante Collaborate To Cover "The Unforgiven" For The Queen Of The Ring Official Soundtrack

The countdown is on for the theatrical and official soundtrack release of Queen Of The Ring, arriving in theaters and streaming platforms this Friday, March 7, 2025. In anticipation for the big day, Sumerian Records is pleased to release an emotionally gripping cover of Metallica's "The Unforgiven" by Kittie, The Pretty Wild, and Diamante from the soundtrack for the hotly-anticipated biopic. Queen Of The Ring chronicles the trailblazing journey of wrestling icon Mildred Burke, written and directed by Ash Avildsen and starring Emily Bett Rickards.

‘Queen of the Ring,’ written and directed by Ash Avildsen, brings to life the untold story of wrestling legend Mildred Burke, who shattered barriers in the 1930s–1950s to become the first million-dollar female athlete and headline arenas over male competitors in a time when women’s wrestling was outright banned across much of the U.S. 

The film stars Emily Bett Rickards (Arrow) in a career-defining role as Burke, alongside a stellar cast featuring Josh Lucas, Walton Goggins, Gavin Casalegno, Tyler Posey, and Deborah Ann Woll, with pro wrestling stars Kamille, Toni Storm, Trinity Fatu, and Jim Cornette making appearances.

About Ash Avildsen and Sumerian

Ash Avildsen grew up in a single-parent household, never having met his father but knowing who he was and having his last name. He chose to pursue music first as an artist, touring in a band and teaching himself the business through a DIY lifestyle. Using all the knowledge he learned from the road, he started his own record label. Sumerian Records has now become one of the top independents in the world for rock and alternative music, with several Grammy nominations and record-setting Billboard chart metrics for the hard-rock genre. Sumerian Records recently celebrated a historic achievement with the first Grammy nomination in the history of the Recording Academy for a solo female artist in the “Best Metal Performance” category, featuring avant-garde singer Poppy.

Avildsen’s first feature film, American Satan, won several awards on the festival circuit before being distributed by Miramax. The film had a theatrical release and was subsequently picked up by Showtime, where it developed a growing cult following. Avildsen expanded on this success by writing and directing the limited series spin-off, "Paradise City ".

Deadlands Share Video for The Pretty Wild Collab Track "Kundalini"

New York-based band DEADLANDS, who joined the Spinefarm roster in 2024, are kicking off 2025 with a vicious new track. Today, the band has shared the video for new single "KUNDALINI," which is a complete collaboration with The Pretty Wild.

"When we started writing 'Kundalini,' everything just felt so natural. CJ [Arey] and I walked into the studio and instantly clicked with The Pretty Wild girls (Jyl and Jules), and of course, Andrew the producer. From the very start, there was an incredible synergy, and we got right down to business. In just two days, we had created something truly special. The experience was infused with divine, feminine energy, and it was nothing short of inspiring," says Deadlands singer Kasey Karlsen.

She continues, "I'm beyond thankful to have worked alongside such brilliant and badass women. Jyl and Jules brought their unique artistry and creativity to the table, elevating the song to a whole new level. CJ and I were also blown away by Andrew's immense talent — his contribution was extraordinary, and we'd love to collaborate with him again in the future."

Karlsen finishes, "'Kundalini' is Deadlands' first-ever collaboration, and it's an honor to have teamed up with The Pretty Wild."
 
Jules from The Pretty Wild also offers a look into the song, saying, "'Kundalini' represents the primal, divine energy waiting to awaken, and that untamed force became the heartbeat of this song, a surge of calling out toxic femininity, empowerment, and transformation.
