The wait is over, today finally sees the release of Overdriver, the fantastic new album by high-energy rock'n'roll royalty, THE HELLACOPTERS, who are commemorating their 30th anniversary as a band with their ninth full-length.

The successor of their glowingly praised, chart-storming comeback album, Eyes of Oblivion, is filled to the brim with roaring guitars and earth-shattering grooves, fist-raising energy, and anthemic choruses, while keeping the variety richer than ever before.

Singles such as 'Leave A Mark', and the instant hits '(I Don't Wanna Be) Just A Memory' and 'Do You Feel Normal' have only shown a small part of the stylistic range you can find on Overdriver. Kicking off 2025 with a bang, high-energy rock'n'roll royalty, THE HELLACOPTERS, have released another smashing single from their upcoming new studio album Overdriver, which is due out on January 31st.

'Do You Feel Normal' is one of the most captivating and uplifting songs on the album despite its lyrical themes, which are dealing with alienation and solitude. THE HELLACOPTERS have written many hits in their career, and this one easily belongs in the top row. Its enticing lead melody and chorus could become your first addiction in 2025.

The sharp looking music video for 'Do You Feel Normal' was shot at the beautiful historic amusement park Gröna Lund in Stockholm, Sweden, which first opened its gates in 1883. It was directed by Johan Bååth & you can watch the clip below.

Swedish high-energy rock 'n' roll legends THE HELLACOPTERS are very pleased to reveal a brand new single called 'Stay With You', the first new original Hellacopters song since the release of their triumphant, chart-topping comeback album, Eyes Of Oblivion, in April 2022.

And unsurprisingly, 'Stay With You' picks up exactly where the band left off two years ago. It's a no-bullshit action rock stunner that cuts right to the chase and yet again the band has delivered a stylish music video to be released alongside, which was directed and edited by Emil Klinta.

Nicke Andersson (guitars & vocals) commented:
"We’re in the middle of recording our new full-length album which has no date of release just yet. In the meantime, we’re very excited about the release of our new single “Stay With You”. It was originally intended to be included on the upcoming LP but we decided to do a Beatles and release it as a stand-alone track with a B-side. “Stay With You” is a straight-up minor key rocker and it’s backed with our interpretation of The Cure’s “Fire In Cairo”. We hope you dig."

'Stay With You' is out today on all streaming platforms.

The insightful clip directed by Emil Klinta shows original members Nicke, Robert, Boba, and Dregen talk about the idea behind the revisited version of their classic record Grande Rock from 1999, and why they decided to release this new version as a double album.

Hailed by many Hellacopters fans as one of the band's best albums, Grande Rock hasn't been available to purchase on vinyl for over 20 years. This new edition of Grande Rock is available as 2LP, 2CD, and digital edition, all of which contain both the remastered original album as well as a revisited and remixed version with additional guitars by Dregen, plus additional percussion and piano and new backing vocal tracks. Swedish action rock legends THE HELLACOPTERS have announced the release date for the long overdue physical re-issue of their classic album Grande Rock from 1999, which hasn't been available to purchase on vinyl for over 20 years. This new edition of Grande Rock will be released on February 16th, 2024, as a 2LP, 2CD and digital edition all of which contain both the remastered original album as well as a revisited and remixed version with additional guitars by Dregen, plus additional percussion and piano and new backing vocal tracks. Just like the original release back in 1999, the vinyl edition exclusively features the Venom cover 'Angel Dust' as a bonus track.

THE HELLACOPTERS were formed in 1994 by Nicke Andersson (vocals and guitar), Dregen (guitar), Kenny Håkansson (bass) and Robert Eriksson (drums). At that time Andersson was renowned in the metal scene for his work in well-known Swedish death metal band ENTOMBED and Dregen had built a reputation as co-founder and guitarist of his main band BACKYARD BABIES.

Next to THE HIVES and THE BACKYARD BABIES, THE HELLACOPTERS are considered one of the most important and influential Swedish rock bands of the 1990s and 2000s - they achieved two Gold certifications, won the Swedish Grammy and a Kerrang! Award, have amassed 100 million streams to date and have supported and toured with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Kiss, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top or the Foo Fighters. They have released seven albums, ranging fuzzed-out & supercharged garage punk on Supershitty To The Max! In October 2021 they announced that they had signed a deal with Nuclear Blast Records and a new album would be in the works for Spring 2022. THE HELLACOPTERS were formed in 1994 by Nicke Andersson (vocals and guitar), Dregen (guitar), Kenny Håkansson (bass), and Robert Eriksson (drums). Today, we are proud to share with you the music video for Swedish high energy rock and roll band THE HELLACOPTERS' brand new single "So Sorry I Could Die".

The song is the 3rd single taken from the band's 8th studio album, Eyes Of Oblivion, which will be released on April 1st, 2022! Produced by Nicke Andersson & Chips Kisbye (who has overseen every HELLACOPTERS album since High Visibility in the year 2000), it will be the band's first full-length since the release of their temporary farewell record Head Off in 2008.

"So Sorry I Could Die" - a stripped-down yet intense blues ballad that also pays tribute to the southern soul in its vocal delivery - is probably the most unusual song on the album and maybe even in THE HELLACOPTERS' whole catalog so far. Make sure to check it out below!

The melancholic video for the song was once again directed by Amir Chamdin and edited by Emil Klinta, who were also responsible for the two previous music videos, "Reap A Hurricane" & "Eyes of Oblivion," and had been working on several projects with THE HELLACOPTERS before, e.g. the documentary "I'm In The Band" (2021).

"The album has 10 songs and although it’s obviously not easy to be objective at all, I think musically it sums up everything we’ve touched upon from the start in 1994 up until now. Some of the songs date back as far as 10 years or more, and some were written more recently. It’s rock and roll played with high energy, so for lack of a better term I say High Energy Rock And Roll. You could say it sounds like THE BEATLES meets JUDAS PRIEST or LYNYRD SKYNYRD meets THE RAMONES but the best way to describe this album is that it sounds like THE HELLACOPTERS today."
