The Devil Wears Prada Drop "Reasons (TDWP Version Feat. LØLØ)"

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA have shared a new version of "Reasons," the collab track they released with electronic artists Excision and Wooli back in April 2023. The new version features LØLØ.

Listen to "Reasons (TDWP Version Feat. LØLØ)Below

"When we made 'Reasons' with Excision and Wooli, we knew we had to play it live because the energy was just so high," the band explains. "We revamped the song to work in a TDWP set, and it went off so well that we decided to hit the studio and capture this new live version of the song."

They continue, "Bringing in the amazingly talented LØLØ as a feature has breathed even more life into the song, resulting in a song that defies genre and captures the spirit of how the song feels in a full room going absolutely nuts. We know that our fans will enjoy this version of 'Reasons' as much as we love playing it every night."

LØLØ offers her insight into this unique collaboration, saying, "I was really excited when TDWP asked me to feature on this track. I've always thought they were so awesome but never thought I'd end up collaborating on a track with them. I think I probably just got a lot cooler."

TDWP will appear at major upcoming festivals — So What?! in Texas in June and When We Were Young in Las Vegas in October. They will also be appearing at Sundown Fest and Furnace Fest.

The Devil Wears Prada Drop Video for Brand New Single "Ritual"

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA have entered their "Ritual" era!

The band has just dropped the video for the brand new single "Ritual."

It finds the band further experimenting with and pushing the boundaries of their signature sound.

Watch the video here

The song was co-produced by Grammy nominated Tyler Smyth (I Prevail, Falling in Reverse) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Blink 182).

"With 'Ritual,' we are kicking off the new era of The Devil Wears Prada with a bang. Color Decay saw us diving into the emotional struggles so many of our generation are going through, so we wanted to write a song that amped up the energy level," the band explains. "Lyrically, 'Ritual' is about the mundane experiences of life, surrendering to the monotony rather than going against it."

TDWP continue to smash boundaries and expectations. They are truly operating in the height of their career, having moved over 75,000 tickets on the Metalcore Dropouts tour, during which they've been playing material almost exclusively new material from 2022's Color Decay. Rather than focus on their deep (and much-loved) catalog, the band is leaving fans even hungrier for even more new songs.

TDWP will also appear at two major upcoming festivals — So What?! in Texas in June and When We Were Young in Las Vegas in October.

ABOUT TDWP:
The Devil Wears Prada have been consistently delivering since forming in 2005. Fans voted 2009's seminal With Roots Above and Branches Below one of the 5 Greatest Metalcore Albums in a Revolver poll, with the magazine christening it "a true metalcore landmark." The group has notched six consecutive Top 5 debuts on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums Chart, including Dead Throne [2011], 8:18 [2013], Space EP [2015], Transit Blues [2016], The Act [2019], and ZII EP [2021]. The latter served as a sequel to one of their most beloved projects — 2010's Zombie EP. In the wake of the EP, the group exceeded a-quarter-of-a-billion cumulative streams and views. During 2021, the musicians decamped to remote hideaways together in Wisconsin and Desert Hot Springs, California. This time around, Jon took the reins as producer, collaborating closely to assemble a rich sonic architecture for what would become Color Decay.

The Devil Wears Prada Team Up With Dance Artists Excision + Wooli for "Reasons"

"Reasons" from Excision, Wooli, and The Devil Wears Prada is out Now. Listen here.

This track combines Excision's domineering dubstep sounds with Wooli's signature melodic bass underneath The Devil Wears Prada's soaring metalcore vocals. Longtime friends Excision and Wooli have worked together many times in the past, including their recent collaboration "Titans" and "Name Drop."

This is their first time working with The Devil Wears Prada, and it came together flawlessly, meeting in the middle between emotional rock instrumentals, aggressive electronics, and a memorable topline — something fans from all of those worlds will appreciate. There has always been a clear connection between electronic and metal music, from the percussion builds to the headbanging moshpits, and the come-as-you-are attitude of the crowd. With dedicated fanbases across both genres, "Reasons" has unlimited potential.

With over a decade of experience, Excision has established a well-respected bass mecca. His discography spans five full-length studio albums, five EPs, over 30 singles, and numerous fan-favorite mixes, all of which have collectively amassed over 100 million streams. Excision has performed to massive crowds at EDC Las Vegas five years in a row, has headlined festivals across the globe including Shambhala, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, and many others, and has consistently toured for nearly 10 years. He's spent the majority of his career being a leader and innovator in the bass music scene, continuously pushing the boundaries of heavy bass and production, championing an unmatched dedication to his craft and the fan experience within the genre. He's helped build an engaged community through his multiple annual festivals, Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, and Paradise Blue.

Wooli's mammoth-sized bass music twists harmonic sounds into a grimy discography of varying tastes. Blending icy compositions with fiery drops, his prehistoric mark captures millions of listeners through immersive performances and heavy bass. He boasts a dynamic suite of releases spanning Monstercat, Never Say Die, Ophelia and Subsidia Records. Wooli's monumental performances draw religious crowds at festival stages like EDC Las Vegas, Lollapalooza, Lost Lands, and more, and his 2021-22 Destination Tour spanned 32 dates across North America’s biggest cities, solidifying his place as a leader within the scene. From primeval performances to melodic masterpieces, Wooli is commanding bass music's future as one of this generation's most compelling acts.

Contrast gives art dimension. The juxtaposition of two seemingly disparate elements sparks friction, bringing life to any canvas. The Devil Wears Prada rely on contrast as they nimbly balance metallic turbulence, hardcore spirit, provocatively eloquent lyricism, and melodic exorcism. In between these opposing extremes, the band have fashioned an ever-evolving signature style buttressed by layers of sonic hues. The group has had consistent album chart success, with six consecutive Top 5 debuts on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums Chart between 2011 and 2021. The Devil Wears Prada released their 8th album, Color Decay, in September of 2022 and have already garnered millions of streams. Over the last 15+ years, The Devil Wears Prada have cemented themselves in the metal scene, and have demonstrated a clear ability and talent to continue innovating and growing with their fans.

"For this one, we wanted to bring together the heavy bass that our fans love with the raw energy of metal-influenced vocals. It was awesome working with Wooli and The Devil Wears Prada on this cross-genre collab," states Excision.

"Excision and I originally started this a while ago and knew we needed a band like The Devil Wears Prada on it," says Wooli. "This was my first time working with a band and I am extremely pleased with how this came along. Working with The Devil Wears Prada was an incredible experience. They are insanely talented writers and artists. I'm super excited for this one to come out!"

The Devil Wears Prada offers, "When Excision and Wooli approached us about working together on a song, we were so stoked for the opportunity to dive into uncharted territory for The Devil Wears Prada. It was fun injecting the lyrical and musical flavors from [the 2022 album] Color Decay onto an EDM track, and the emotional and aggressive nature of our sound fit perfectly with their mastery of modern bass music."

The Devil Wears Prada — Mike Hranica [vocals], Jeremy DePoyster [vocals, guitar], Mason Nagy [bass], Kyle Sipress [guitar], Jonathan Gering [keys, synthesizers], and Giuseppe Capolupo [drums] —will release the deluxe edition of their eighth album Color Decay, which arrives May 5 via Solid State. "'Reaching' is a song about unapologetic growth," says Hranica. "I feel we often hear songs of resilience and strength that don't really cover the dirty, harder times. It takes struggle and failure to better oneself, and I think that's the soul of this tune."

BAND TOURING WITH AUGUST BURNS RED THIS WINTER

The Devil Wears Prada — Mike Hranica [vocals], Jeremy DePoyster [vocals, guitar], Mason Nagy [bass], Kyle Sipress [guitar], Jonathan Gering [keys, synthesizers], and Giuseppe Capolupo [drums] — have shared the video for their new single "Cancer."

Watch it below.

The track lives on their eighth album Color Decay, out now via Solid State. Get it here.

"Lyrically, this song is about how many of the people I have looked up to and idolized have ended up committing suicide," says Gering. "It is something that has always made me question if I was on the right path in my own life. During the recording process, we learned of a another death, and I immediately assumed it was suicide. It ended up that this person had been secretly battling cancer for years, and for some reason, that made me feel relieved. The track addresses how messed up that thought process is and the guilt that comes along with it. The song and album end with the original iphone voice memo of when we were writing the song and it's pitched down because we changed the key."
