Gothenburg´s Finest are back! THE HALO EFFECT present a brand new single to their fans with ´Become Surrender´. The track has been a staple of their live shows for a while now, and has quickly become a fan-favourite.
It´s a multi-faceted song with neck breaking riffs, grooving drums and beautiful melodies which will leave you spellbound.

Mikael Stanne comments: "´Become Surrender´ was written and recorded during theDays Of The Lost sessions, but for some reason we left it out of the album. It has been something we have played during festivals and on our tours and the response has been nothing short of fantastic, so we decided to release it in the interim before we start rolling out singles for the second album. The video was shot during our sold out show at Pustervik here in our hometown of Gothenburg in front of a few of our closest friends and hopefully the joy and love we felt in the room that night shines through.
It's a song about perseverance over distance and not giving in to despair or doubt. Turn it up!”

THE HALO EFFECT - release video for brand-new single ´The Defiant One´

THE HALO EFFECT’s debut album Days Of The Lost hit the charts all over Europe - #1 in Sweden, #3 in UK, #6 in Germany, Austria and Finland, and #8 in Switzerland.
An extensive European tour with MACHINE HEAD and AMON AMARTH followed, as well as numerous festivals and headline shows.
While fans are eagerly waiting for the follow up to their mind blowing debut album Days Of The Lost, the band offer up a video for a track that has already become a staple in their live setlist for quite some time, ´The Defiant One´.

Mikael Stanne comments:” ´The Defiant One´ was recorded during the Days of the Lost sessions and has been one of the songs we have played live last year. So in order to hold you over before we present you with what we have written and recorded for the next album here is ´The Defiant One´. The Devil Wears Prada Release New Version of "Salt" Feat. Dayseeker's Rory Rodriguez

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA have shared the new version of their single "Salt," which appears on 2022's Color Decay. This reimagined version features Dayseeker vocalist Rory Rodriguez.

"After playing 'Salt 'around the world for the last year, it became obvious that something was happening with the connection of this song and we wanted to do something special with it," the band offers. "We reached out to our good friend Rory from Dayseeker to see if he would want to feature on a new version of the song, and he absolutely smashed it. Rory totally helps capture the emotional weight and energy that we put into Salt, and we're so excited to put out one of our favorite songs in a whole new light."

THE HALO EFFECT Presents Visualizer For "Path Of Fierce Resistance"

Purveyors of the legendary Gothenburg sound THE HALO EFFECT have presented us with a visualizer for the song ´Path Of Fierce Resistance´, which was previously released as a Japanese exclusive on the band’s globally acclaimed debut album Days Of The Lost, that was released in August 2022.

Now, the ferocious track is finally being released to the rest of the world, before the band embarks on their first US headline run in May and gets back to the studio to work on their next full-length album.

Frontman Mikael Stanne comments:"Path Of Fierce Resistance" is a song we wrote for the Days of the Lost album but it only surfaced on the limited Japanese edition and it has been very close to us and having it here now for all to hear feels fantastic. The new album is in the works and we are incredibly excited about it, so consider this as something to keep you guys going until we unveil what is coming next.

The song is another Jesper and Niclas classic that features everything that we love doing together in this band. Lyrically it deals with unrealistic expectations and about how important it is to follow one's own path and be adamant about it no matter what. We start our tour in the US on the 20th of May and we are beyond stoked to bring this band to America for the first time. Do not miss this!"

THE HALO EFFECT Announces Details Of Debut Album, "Days Of The Lost"

THE HALO EFFECT is the biggest surprise in the metal scene in a long time. After making a big impression with their debut single “Shadowminds” and the follow up single “Feel What I Believe,” the band now announces their debut album for August 12th and kicks off the pre-save phase with a third single and video for the album title track “Days Of The Lost”.

The band featuring guitar heroes & songwriting wizards Jesper Strömblad and Niclas Engelin (ex- IN FLAMES), singer Mikael Stanne (DARK TRANQUILITY), as well as former IN FLAMES members Peter Iwers and Daniel Svensson, presenting another masterclass in Swedish melodic death metal!

Frontman Mikael Stanne explains about the song: “Days Of The Lost” is about finding your place in life, about making that outcast experience into something that propels you forward. We all met in our mid teens and we were all trying to find direction, motivation and meaning. Thankfully we found it in creativity and music and we shared this passion and made something from it that remains an essential part of who we are as individuals and as parts of a whole. So this is us reflecting on our past, while watching a new generation slowly but surely find their path. It's about standing up, being your true self and about not letting anything stand in your way. Our choices and our paths have led to all kinds of things but we wouldn't change a thing.”

The video was shot on a cold day in January at a rooftop at a location in Gothenburg called “Ringön,” that used to be all industrial but nowadays turning into a cool place with all its breweries, clubs, venues and all creative sorts of activities. It is directed by Theo Gabay along with his sidekick Morgan Jensen, who are more known in Sweden for their movie and tv work.
