Klaus Schulze "Moulin Bleu" 1981 Performance Video Out Today Alongside Live Album "Bon Voyage (Live Audimax Hamburg 1981)"

For more than 50 years, the composer, musician, and producer Klaus Schulze rolled out his extensive sounds and has played his legendary sequences. He shaped the "Berlin School" and was most influential for various music styles that came of electronic music.

Following the release of the album 101, Milky Way in November 2024, Bon Voyage (Live Hamburg Audimax 1981), another historic document from the archives of the master of the Moog synthesiser, has been released today via SPV Recordings.

To coincide with the release of the album, a live performance video of the track"Moulin Bleu" has been shared. It is an excerpt from the bonus DVD included with the 2CD version.

In November 1981, Klaus Schulze was scheduled to go on a two-week tour through Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and France, which was to end in the Audimax Hamburg.

Multi-instrumentalist Manuel Göttsching accompanied Klaus on tour as a special guest. This recording of the Hamburg Audimax concert was originally intended as a spontaneous, internal documentation — a nice souvenir for everyone from a wonderful tour. Now, after more than 40 years, this release allows all fans to share in the wonderful memories.

The first public airing of ELLIS MANO BAND's fourth album MORPH was performed during their support slot to rock legends Deep Purple, on their German tour in July 2024. The record features eleven tracks, including "For All I Care," which was one of the highlights in their set supporting the British rock legends. Powerful and characterized by tempo changes, it is a contemporary, modernised homage to the essence of classic rock from the late 1960s to the end of the 1970s. A quiet acoustic interlude is thrown in for good measure. A definite nod to the unforgotten Old School. Compositional sophistication, variety and incredible playing are the hallmarks of the Anglo-American sound of the ELLIS MANO BAND. So it was only logical to engage a global great for the cover art. The cartridge with the broken tip and flowers growing in ist case was realised by Canadian album design legend Hugh Syme (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Rush and many more). "'Stray' is a song that speaks deeply from the heart – inspired by all the dogs that remain unwaveringly loyal despite disappointment and pain," says the band.

"Chris Ellis, our singer, who has adopted street dogs himself, wanted to tell the story of an animal that continually seeks love but is left alone time and again. ‘Stray’ shows what true, unconditional loyalty means and reminds us that everyone deserves a home. It’s a musical call to give these strays a second chance." 

The video for the single was created in cooperation with VETO, the association of European animal welfare organizations. The non-profit limited company, which is committed to the welfare of shelter and street animals, provided the ELLIS MANO BAND with the film material used for the music clip.

KLAUS SCHULZE To Release New Album 'Deus Arrakis' on June 10th, 2022

Composer, musician, and producer Klaus Schulze rolls out his extensive sounds, plays his legendary sequences, and creates this unique ‘Schulze atmosphere‘ for more than 50 years now. With 'Deus Arrakis' the electronic legend now presents his new studio album. The album will be released on June 10th, 2022 via SPV Recordings and contains three brand new tracks with more than 77 minutes of total playing time.

With "Osiris - Pt#1" a first excerpt of the new album will be released on Friday via all digital platforms.

'Deus Arrakis' will be available as a high-quality triple LP edition in a 3LP gatefold with black 180g vinyl, etching and printed inner sleeves as well as CD version in a digipak.

Through his collaboration with Hans Zimmer for the Oscar-winning soundtrack to the remake of the classic film 'Dune', desert fever has broken out again in Klaus Schulze. "I needed more of that 'Spice,'" Schulze recounts.
