Brantley Gilbert Delivers SO HELP ME GOD (DELUXE EDITION)

Multi-Platinum country star Brantley Gilbert delivers his highly anticipated album So Help Me God (Deluxe Edition), supplementing the original release with the addition of five new songs that “like his previous studio albums,” shares American Songwriter, “the songs are a musical reflection of where Gilbert is at in life” and “purposefully lets the songs take the lead, co-writing all 15 tracks.” Available now via The Valory Music Co., listen to the album HERE.

“We’ve done a deluxe release for nearly all my albums, and it’s always been a great way to revisit some ideas that we didn’t get to initially or ideas we wanted to expand on. It allows us to tie up loose ends, kind of like a punctuation mark at the end of the sentence,” shares Gilbert.

“I’ve also always been a big fan of big records that have a lot of songs on them, but that’s just not the way music is consumed nowadays,” he continues. “I’d rather give folks some time to live with a good number of songs, get familiar with them and then follow that up with a few more. It helps give the songs a life of their own that they wouldn’t have otherwise.”

Lauded by MusicRow as “a songwriter adept at crafting both driving crowd-pleasers and detailed heart-tuggers,” So Help Me God (Deluxe Edition) includes a touching celebration of life with “Tailgates of Heaven,” co-written with Josh Phillips and Derek George.

“This song is really special to me,” explains Gilbert. “Josh brought in this idea after a buddy of his had passed away, and he wanted to do a song for him. I started thinking about people in my own life who had gone too soon, and it became something that means a lot to me as well. As writers, anytime you write a song like that, we may have had one person or one thing in mind when we started it, but by the time it’s over, you really have to put your own emotional weight into it or it’s just not believable. Super proud of that one, and I can’t wait for folks to hear it.”

Elaborating on current chart-climbing single “Heaven By Then” with Blake Shelton featuring Vince Gill, “Behind The Times,” co-written with Jake Mitchell, Randy Montana and Taylor Phillips, lays out the specifics of what it is Gilbert loves about his way of life, all while feeling content to be left behind by a world that doesn’t value the things that make him who he is.

Rounding out the 15-song collection, So Help Me God (Deluxe Edition) also includes feel-good hometown anthem “Wrote The Book Around Here,” a story of being unable to escape heartbreak in “All Over The Map” and the statement-making “Bury Me Upside Down,” showcasing Gilbert’s signature twang meets hard-rockin’ guitars.

Gilbert will host his 2023 Album Release Party and Trail Ride Powered By Polaris Inc at Brimstone® Recreation in Huntsville, Tenn. on April 22, leading fans on a group trail ride followed by an intimate performance from his frequent co-writers, along with a power acoustic set from the man himself. Sponsors of the event include Polaris, Big Frig, Nine Line Apparel, Traeger Grills, Roush Performance and Brimstone® Recreation, with onsite activations from most. Tickets are available at BrantleyGilbert.com. Entry tickets do not include the Brimstone® Recreation trail pass required to participate. They can be purchased HERE.

Brantley Gilbert Announces SO HELP ME GOD (DELUXE EDITION) Set for 4/21

Georgia Native Celebrates FOUR New RIAA Certifications, Including
6X Platinum “Bottoms Up” + 2X Platinum “One Hell Of An Amen,”
“The Weekend” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do”

“Heaven By Then” with Blake Shelton ft. Vince Gill

Gilbert Joins Nickelback for the Get Rollin’ Tour This Summer;
Tickets Available at BrantleyGilbert.com

Multi-Platinum country star Brantley Gilbert began his career 15 years ago as a songwriter. Now, even with five No. 1 singles as an artist (and two additional as a writer) and three chart-topping albums, the Georgia native still considers himself a songwriter first and foremost, and it’s that approach that brought So Help Me God (Deluxe Edition) to life. Set for release April 21 via The Valory Music Co., the project showcases Gilbert’s vast medley of influences alongside a wide cast of collaborators. Pre-order and pre-save available HERE.

“We’ve always been a little outside of the box when it comes to writing and recording,” shares Gilbert. “It’s not necessarily something we’ve done on purpose, but it tends to happen because we always try to serve the song as it takes shape rather than shaping the song to serve us.

“If a song is asking for a harder edge, let’s do that. If it feels a little more introspective, let’s lean into that. This album intersects across a lot of different genres, and we’re proud to say that it’s something that happened naturally,” he explains.

So Help Me God (Deluxe Edition) acts as the next chapter in Gilbert’s life as he cowrote all 15 tracks on the project, including current chart-climbing single “Heaven By Then” with Blake Shelton featuring Vince Gill, giving the song perspective “from three different generations of country music,” Billboard observes, while noting the track is “capturing the reluctance often applied to change.”

Building upon the 10 songs released last year, So Help Me God (Delxue Edition) features five new tracks, including “Behind The Times,” cowritten with Jake Mitchell, Randy Montana and Taylor Phillips, that expands on his current single, detailing some of the parts of rural life that can often feel as though they’re quickly disappearing in this fast-paced world, while “Wrote The Book Around Here” broadens the view of Gilbert’s hometown in previously released “Miles Of Memories,” recounting some of his own antics as a young man and how there are some things in this world, and a small town, that never change.

Earlier this week, Gilbert revealed four new RIAA certifications: “Bottoms Up” is now 6X Platinum while “One Hell Of An Amen,” “The Weekend” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” are now 2X Platinum, joining additional 2X Platinum songs “Kick It In The Sticks” and “Country Must Be Country Wide,” along with Platinum-certified “What Happens In A Small Town” featuring Lindsay Ell.

Kicking off this summer, Gilbert will join Nickelback for the Get Rollin’ Tour, performing across Canada and the U.S. with 35+ stops including dates in Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and Nashville before wrapping August 30. Tickets are on sale now and available at BrantleyGilbert.com.

Multi-Platinum country star Brantley Gilbert releases his highly anticipated new album So Help Me God, a 10-track project that features five new songs, including his latest single “Heaven By Then” with Blake Shelton and featuring Vince Gill, which had a world premiere via iHeartRadio today. Available now via The Valory Music Co., listen to the album and the single, officially impacting Country radio on Monday, November 14, HERE.

“In the past, my albums were almost direct reflections, direct chapters of my life,” shares Gilbert. “Whatever I’d gone through since I wrote the last record would make its way onto the new album. There’s still some of that with So Help Me God since I’m a cowriter on all the songs – it’s been three years since the last release and a lot of life lived. But I feel like this album is more of a mixtape of great songs.”

Co-written with Brock Berryhill, Michael Hardy, Jake Mitchell, Randy Montana, Hunter Phelps and Taylor Phillips, album opener “Heaven By Then” highlights a way of life that can often feel like it’s disappearing, as the pace of everyday life continues to speed up.

“‘Heaven By Then’ came out of a conversation during a writers retreat in Texas that we do every year. A guitar ended up in HARDY’s lap, which is usually a good sign that it’s about to turn into something special. I think we all knew that as it was being written. It came to life that night.

“To have Blake Shelton and Vince Gill on the song meant so much to me. Those two brought so much to the table and gave it a voice I didn’t have. We were all in separate places when we recorded, but it was a cool way for everyone to put their spin on it. They just did what felt natural and sonically you hear that,” he concludes.

Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all his albums. Instead of toiling in limbo, unable to enjoy good times for fear of Judgment Day, Gilbert fully lives––rowdy friend, man of faith, devoted husband, smitten new father––just as he is.

“All of my albums up to this point have been spiritual or faith-based titles, and there’s a reason for that,” Gilbert shares. “I feel like if I’m the ‘what you see is what you get’ guy, and I decide to disregard my faith or not include it, not only am I selling myself short, but I’m selling everybody who plays that record short. Faith is a huge part of my life, and I feel like God tends to bless us a little bit more when we share a little spotlight.”

Gilbert kicked off his co-headlining tour with Five Finger Death Punch last night in and continues this evening in Fort Wayne Indiana. Gilbert is set to tour with 5FDP through December 17, wrapping in Las Vegas, Nevada. For tickets and more information, visit BrantleyGilbert.com.

About Brantley Gilbert
With back-to-back Platinum albums and a grassroots following millions strong, Brantley Gilbert’s music has been shared, covered and adopted as the soundtrack to Saturday night and Sunday morning by audiences around the world. The Georgia native who started as the defiant life-of-the-party can still go ‘til sunrise, but he’s also emerged as something far greater: the leader of a massive tribe of hard-working, fun-loving believers for whom electric guitar-shredding, rapping, and twang can go hand-in-hand-in-hand. They call themselves the BG Nation, and when the BG Nation watches Gilbert on a stage, they don’t just see a star. They see themselves. Seven No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” RIAA 5x Platinum-certified “Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of an Amen” and collaboration with Lindsay Ell “What Happens In A Small Town.” Gilbert’s landmark record Just As I Am clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. Earning praise from the New York Times, NPR, American Songwriter, and more, Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all of his albums. Instead of toiling in limbo, unable to enjoy good times for fear of Judgment Day, Gilbert fully lives––rowdy friend, man of faith, devoted husband, smitten new father––just as he is. H So Help Me God is available now via The Valory Music Co. and features his latest single “Heaven By Then” with Blake Shelton featuring Vince Gill. Gilbert will embark on a co-headlining tour with Five Finger Death Punch November 9 for their 22-date U.S. run that wraps December 17. Multi-Platinum country star Brantley Gilbert is the first to admit he’s meticulous when it comes to writing and releasing new music, tinkering and tweaking things until he feels he’s found the best way to serve the song and the project.

“I’ve always taken a little longer than most artists, especially in this genre, to put an album out and that’s partly to do with me being a perfectionist,” Gilbert prefaces. “But we’ve been looking forward to getting this album out for a long time. I’ve been blessed to sit down with some of the best writers in the country, and I feel like we’ve written some wonderful stuff.”

Armed with a 10-track collection that meets the Georgia-native’s standards, Gilbert announces his long-awaited new album So Help Me God via The Valory Music Co., set for digital release Thursday, November 10. Pre-save the album HERE.

“In the past, my albums were almost direct reflections, direct chapters of my life,” shares Gilbert. “Whatever I’d gone through since I wrote the last record would make its way onto the new album. There’s still some of that with So Help Me God since I’m a co-writer on all the songs – it’s been three years since the last release and a lot of life lived. But I feel like this album is more of a mixtape of great songs.

“We wanted to put songs that sounded good together, but also songs that covered a wide variety of genre influences,” Gilbert elaborates. “There’s a lot of different songwriting styles on the album. We’re super excited about it, and I can’t wait for BG Nation to hear what we’ve been working on.”

With the release of So Help Me God also comes Gilbert’s newest single headed to Country radio on November 14, “Heaven By Then” with Blake Shelton featuring Vince Gill. Co-written with Brock Berryhill, Michael Hardy, Jake Mitchell, Randy Montana, Hunger Phelps and Taylor Phillips, the album opener highlights a way of life that can often feel like it’s disappearing, as the pace of everyday life continues to speed up.

When they pave all the dirt roads
And John Deeres are dinosaurs
When the last back 40 gets sold
And young boys don’t open doors
When you can’t hunt a white tail
And keep what you reel in
Well, I hope I’m in heaven by then

No, I don’t wanna go today but I don’t wanna live
Down here at a place that thinks that that place don’t exist
There comes a day this country’s somewhere country don’t fit in
Hell, I hope I’m in heaven by then

“We were on a writing retreat in Texas that we do every year, and everybody was out on the porch. I don’t remember who threw a word in here or there and who didn’t, so we ended up with a bunch of writers on ‘Heaven By Then,’” Gilbert notes. “And I love songs like that. It came out of a conversation.

As the Son Of The Dirty South Tour with “Son Of The Dirty South” collaborator Jelly Roll continues tonight, Gilbert’s co-headlining tour with Five Finger Death Punch kicks off November 9 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and continues through December 17, wrapping in Las Vegas, Nevada.
