ARISING EMPIRE ALERT: Resolve Share New Video

French Metalcore quartet Resolve have today released their Human (Extended Cut) album and unveiled the anthemic new single "Smile" via Arising Empire.

Being the latest track to be revealed from the deluxe album, "Smile" follows both the earth-shaking single "Molotov" and the recent sinister single "Sandman" in different fashion.

"'Smile' is the most straight-forward love song... until it's not," mentions Resolve bassist Robin Mariat. "There's obviously a gigantic gap in between this sound and 'Sandman' and the all-in aggression, but our musical DNA is spread across these two ends of the spectrum. So it made perfect sense for us to have this track as the final release of the Human cycle, as it's reminiscent of fan-favorite 'New Colors' or even 'Ignite,' a deeper cut off the album."

Watch the video below.

Stream, purchase Human (Extended Cut) now as limited colored vinyl or CD at the Arising Empire Shop.

Building upon a world shaped by the original version, the Human (Extended Cut) will included the new single "Sandman," the recent single "Molotov," more brand-new music, "The Fire, The Aftermath, The Everlasting" live performance and the original set of tracks from the album.

"This is a new form of release for us, which is very exciting," Mariat continues. "We get to build up on the world that we shaped for Human, and these new tracks are the continuation of the story. These new tracks definitely have something for everyone, whether you like the heavier side of Resolve, or if you are more into our melodic capabilities."

"The only thing we can ask for is for people to listen through the whole record (Human), because if there’s one thing we’re sure of, it’s that this album has something for everyone, even people that may be far removed from metal," shares Mariat when talking about their sophomore album  a record that saw their single "Older Days" featuring Paleface Swiss and Ten56 go viral and surpass over 3.6 million streams to date.

Ever since their public reveal in February 2017 with the debut single "Exposed," the quartet has been eager to show their peers that they won't settle for anything but greatness. Also, Resolve have opened shows for Architects, Every Time I Die, While She Sleeps, Underoath, ERRA, and more.

Resolve Annnunce Extended Cut Version Of "Human" + Share "Molotov" Video

French Metalcore quartet, Resolve, who released their critically acclaimed sophomore album Human in September 2023, have today announced the forthcoming Human (Extended Cut) deluxe edition, due for release on October 25 via Arising Empire.

Building upon a world shaped by the original version, the deluxe will also include brand-new unheard music and "The Fire, The Aftermath, The Everlasting" live performance. Watch it below.

To mark the announcement, the band have unveiled a brand-new single titled "Molotov," their first offering of new music since the Human album was released. Merging the lines between the past and the present, "Molotov" channels aggression through metallic atmospherics, further exploring the rise in Artificial Intelligence.

Resolve vocalist Anthony Diliberto comments, "'Molotov' is an incendiary track, relentless and aggressive. I feel like upon the first few seconds of the track, you get the message clear as day: we’re here to shake the earth to its core. It's very much a follow up, an epilogue even, to 2023's lead single 'Human/.' Decades after the machines overtaking of earth and humanity, the cycle begins again and a new hope for humanity arises when a robot inexplicably starts behaving like an actual living person. When you stand out so much from the crowd, does that make you a leader or a pariah?"

Expanding on their upcoming Human deluxe edition, bassist Robin Mariat mentions, "This is a new form of release for us, which is very exciting. We get to build up on the world that we shaped for Human, and these new tracks are the continuation of the story. These new tracks definitely have something for everyone, whether you like the heavier side of Resolve, or if you are more into our melodic capabilities."

Resolve Share Video for Live Performance of "The Fire, The Aftermath, The Everlasting"

"We've always loved doing these sorts of live sessions. But this time, we've turned it up to eleven with the production and cinematographic ambition. We're telling a story without words which was quite a challenge, but also very rewarding," the band's Robin Mariat shares. "We also chose to play deeper cuts from our album Human, to showcase the diversity of the record and a more melodic sensitivity that often times have to be compromised on during an album rollout as a metal band. This video is also a taster of what the fans can expect from our first ever full European headline tour — overall a very bold and visually stunning show which we can't wait to perform."

Bassist Robin Mariat continues, "When it came to picking it as a single for the Human campaign, we knew it was the one track we should try and do something different with its release. So we called for two of the most accomplished vocalists we know, Aaron Matts from ten56. and Zelli from Paleface Swiss to come to our studio and spice it up a bit more with us. Not only that, but we thought it could also be fun to film all three vocalists do a vocal run-through for the track once It was all done."

"The four of us in Resolve are starting to be old enough to see with our own eyes how we're coming towards the end of an era as a species," shares bassist Robin Mariat. "Earlier this month, the record for the highest-ever global temperature was once again broken. It's getting obvious that we're long past the point of no return, so as Anthony is singing in the chorus: if it's too late for saving our souls, rather fail together than triumph alone. None of us will make it alone in this world. 'New Colors' is our call for unity."

Resolve Announce New Album "Human" + Share Video For Title Track

Death Awaits" and "Move To Trash." Pre-order it here, as limited colored vinyl, CD, together with unique merch options at the Arising Empire Shop, Impericon, and band shop.

To coincide with the album announcement, RESOLVE have also shared the video title track "Human" which is out today on all streaming platforms.

"'Human' is a very important track to us," says bassist Robin Mariat. "From the moment [vocalist and primary songwriter] Anthony [Dliberto] first played us the original demo in his room, it was obvious that we had something very special here. So much so, that we decided to make it the title track of the second album! It's a very industrial vibe, which is a direction that we haven't explored much in the past, but what I'm particularly pleased with is the fact that it 100% retains the Resolve essence, with titanic breakdowns and melodies. It's probably our most cinematic track yet though, which is something I'm sure a lot of fans will be very happy about.  It's very Isaac Asimov-inspired, telling the tale of a humanoid being, half-clone, half-robot, that questions everything about its existence, its consciousness... just like we humans do."

Having just finished a run on the road with While She Sleeps and also a European co-headline tour with Siamese, Resolve show no signs of slowing down.

Resolve Share "Death Awaits" Video — WATCH

RESOLVE have today returned with their brand new single "Death Awaits," out now via Arising Empire. It's a track that is both positive and beautifully brutal all at the same time. It follows the band's debut album Between Me and The Machine and sets out a new era for Resolve, with a relentless touring schedule ahead.

Watch the video below

Bassist Robin Mariat says "'Death Awaits' is a creed. Down the line, we all end up the same, and that's something we should embrace and not fear. But while death is — at least in our society — often perceived as something sad and solemn, our track is nearly the opposite: upbeat and ferocious with an hopeful chorus. Creating the music video for this song was the most fun we've had in ages. We gathered about 100 fans and friends, and celebrated our love for life the only way we know how: By beating our skulls to the sound of music together. We especially cannot wait to play this track live on our upcoming European tour starting next week!"

"Death Awaits" is released ahead of the bands forthcoming co-headline tour with Siamese, kicking off on March 31. RESOLVE will also be supporting heavyweights While She Sleeps across Europe in May and will be appearing at this years Hellfest in July.
