Plaguestorm, the renowned solo artist from Argentina, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming EP Empty Eyes. Following the release of the first single "Thrown Into The Void", Plaguestorm has revealed the second track "Gardens of Fire"today, which is now available for streaming. Listen to the song below.

"Gardens of Fire is a slow and steady song. It tells the story of a boy who is indoctrinated "in the name of God" since he arrived on this earth, in which he could never find the promised paradise. It's a song with many melodies, melancholic and dark, with a beautiful guitar solo... musically you can hear the great influence that Hypocrisy has on me... I think you already figured this out."

Plaguestorm has released a series of impressive albums including Everything's Gone Wrong (2015), Mother of Plagues (2019) and the recently dropped Purifying Fire (2021). This time around, Pastor is joined by the incredible vocal prowess of Okko Solanterä (HORIZON IGNITED) and the masterful drumming skills of Eugene Ryabchenko (FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE), along with the talented Diego Martinez. With such prominent support, Plaguestorm's upcoming offering is set to leave a lasting impact, showcasing his undeniable talent and delivering a sound that will appeal to fans of heavier and melodic sounds.

PLAGUESTORM Unleashes First Single from Upcoming EP, "Empty Eyes"!

Argentinian solo artist Plaguestorm, the formidable force in the realm of Melodic Death Metal, is set to captivate fans once again with his brand new 3 track EP, entitled Empty Eyes. Slated for release on October 20, 2023, via Noble Demon, the upcoming offering promises to be a relentless assault on the senses.

Founded by mastermind Sebastián Pastor in early 2014, Plaguestorm has consistently pushed the boundaries of the genre, delivering a unique blend of furious and raging melodies, drawing inspiration from both the old and new Scandinavian sound of Death Metal.

To give fans a taste of what's to come, Plaguestorm has unveiled the first single from the EP, titled "Thrown Into The Void". This blistering track serves as a powerful introduction, showcasing Pastor's signature blend of sweeping melodies, heavy arrangements, and dark, melancholic undertones. For the first single Plaguestorm is accompanied by Okko Solanterä (Vocals/HORIZON IGNITED) and Eugene Ryabchenko (FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE) on drums.

Today, Argentinian melodic death metal solo artist PLAGUESTORM unleashes his blistering sophomore full length record via Noble Demon. Founded by Sebastián Pastor in early 2014, on "Purifying Fire" PLAGUESTORM continues to spread his blend of sweeping melodies, heavy, dark and melancholic arrangements, while mixing the old and new Scandinavian sound of Death Metal, as if it were based on a Swedish manufacturing standard.

Following Sebastián Pastor’s critically acclaimed releases "Mother of Plagues" (2019) and "Everything's Gone Wrong" (2015), PLAGUESTORM's brand new album offers "lot's of fury and anger but also melancholy and sadness" as Sebastián Pastor states. "The songwriting process started in early 2020. I recorded, mixed and mastered it entirely in my home studio. Regarding the lyrics, I think that this time, I have written some personal things that many people might relate to in these pandemic times."

With a wide range of furious and raging melodic death metal and featuring nine tracks full of anger, desolation and sadness, the upcoming record Purifying Fire is in fact Pastor's most mature release to date.

After the previously- released single “Evolution Towards The Edge”, today PLAGUESTORM has unleashed an animated lyric video for the epic album- title track.

"The title track of the album is a song with many changes of rhythm and full of melodies. It begins with quite an epic introduction, but soon everything gets out of control and the speed and blast beats arrive. It is a fast and aggressive song, but at the same time quite emotional, since it's packed with melancholic melodies and many clean, but also fierce vocals. The lyrics are about the fires that have occurred in recent years in many parts of the world. Sometimes I do think that those who cause these great fires will make everything burn, burning ourselves, some people do not understand that their own actions are counterproductive for ourselves. Beyond all the damage, nature always prevails." Sebastián Pastor comments.

Purifying Fire will be out on June 4th via Noble Demon!

Founded by Sebastián Pastor in early 2014, PLAGUESTORM delivers a wide range of furious and raging Melodic Death Metal. Sweeping melodies, heavy, dark and melancholic arrangements, mixing the old and new Scandinavian sound of Death Metal, as if it were based on a Swedish manufacturing standard. With 9 brand new tracks full of anger and rage, desolation and sadness, Purifying Fire is in fact Pastor's most mature release to date.

"The new album is a very varied one compared to Mother of Plagues. I have added some elements or compositions that I had not used before and you may notice a sadder atmosphere in some songs“ Sebastián Pastor says and continues: "I suppose that my mood and some situations that I had to go through last year influenced my way of composing and writing."

But not only musically, also thematically, Pastor offers a work full of depth. Just like the stunning artwork (by Artmorfate), several songs on the album share a conceptual connection about how the evolution of humanity negatively interferes with nature, as he explains:

"We have all witnessed how hundreds of forests and jungles in many parts of the world have been devastated by fire. These fires are intentionally started, for commercial gain, whether for real estate, to install nuclear plants, for mining, for the sowing of soybeans or for the installation of hydroelectric plants. I think some people are unaware that all the damage they are causing will soon affect themselves. But nature always prevails."

As on his previous releases, Sebastián Pastor was in charge of composing and writing all the lyrics and music (as well as recording the acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drum prog, and keyboards / synthesizers / strings), while the vocals do come from Mikael Sehlin (Engel). For the guitar solos PLAGUESTORM got the support of Diego Martinez, as well as Pablo Roman, and a wonderful orchestral arrangement for the song "Purifying Fire" was made by Sebastián Nuñez Szymanski.
