CLAWFINGER Return With "Scum"

CLAWFINGER are back. Not to save the world, but to shout unapologetically while it burns. Their new single Scum’ is a blistering punch of punk-rap fury - loud, raw, and seething with intent. It marks the return of the pioneering crossover band at their most direct, furious, and unfiltered in years.

“‘Scum’ is a raw, loud, and brutally honest punk rap anthem that goes straight for the throat,” says singer Zak Tell. “It’s aimed at the kind of guy who’s selfish, sexist, full of himself and somehow still talking. With sharp lyrics and a beat that hits like a punch, ‘Scum’ says what we’re all thinking about that one guy we all wish would just vanish from the face of the earth. It’s angry and it’s dark. If you’ve ever wanted to spit in someone’s face but lacked the upper-body strength or social permission, this song’s for you.”

"Scum" is out now via PERCEPTION - A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music. Stream it on all platforms: https://clawfinger.rpm.link/newsongPR

Watch it Below.

The end is near. Let’s make it loud.

About CLAWFINGER

CLAWFINGER are considered pioneers of European rap-metal. Formed in Stockholm in the early 1990s, the Swedish-Norwegian band made an explosive debut with Deaf Dumb Blind (1993), blending aggressive guitar riffs with politically charged lyrics and rap vocals. The album sold over 600,000 copies worldwide – more than 250,000 in Germany alone – and won a Swedish Grammis award in the Hardrock/Metal category.

CLAWFINGER’s follow-up Use Your Brain (1995) continued their success with chart placements across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Sweden. Over the years, they released seven studio albums including A Whole Lot of Nothing, Zeros & Heroes, Hate Yourself with Style, and Life Will Kill You, selling over 1.5 million records worldwide.

Known for their direct, riff-driven sound and strong political stance, CLAWFINGER address topics such as racism, political delusion, drug policy, environmental destruction, and social inequality. In the 1990s, they toured intensively with acts like ALICE IN CHAINS, MEGADETH and FAITH NO MORE and appeared at major festivals including Rock am Ring, Roskilde, and Monsters of Rock in South America.

After a brief hiatus, the band returned in 2014 and has since released new singles like “Save Our Souls” (2017) and “Environmental Patients” (2022). In 2025, Clawfinger signed a new label deal with Perception, with more music on the way – still as loud, sharp, and uncompromising as ever.

Summer, the season of love, has finally arrived! Comedy metal band J.B.O. doesn’t need to be asked twice to show their affection. Still riding high on the success of their beer-fuelled single "Ka-Fump!" and inspired by the start of the warm season, the quartet is back today, leaving plenty of... ahem... musical love bites with their new track "Bussi" (Southern German/Austrian slang for ‘Kiss’).

Introduced by a sweet accordion melody, the cozily seeming song starts on a romantic note before Vito, Hannes, Ralph and Wolfram pull out the big NDH guns and enter the second stage of their journey to their forthcoming album Haus Of The Rising Fun (January 9, 2026 via PERCEPTION - A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music). The single guides all friends of ‘true nonsense,’ who found their way out of the Franconian woods despite endlessly consuming "Ka-Fump!",straight into the next labyrinth, the world of Bavarian beer tents. Musically flirting with one of the most famous bands of all time, "Bussi" is nothing but an unrivalled minnesong which comes up with select mischievous quotes.

“‘Bussi’ is a pure love song and innocent as its title! That’s why we also wrote guiltless Bavarian lyrics although they’re not completely kosher... Well, Vito is a Bavarian-Franconian crossing anyway. Come on, don’t make a fuss!” add J.B.O.through rose-coloured glasses.

SIENA ROOT Announce Eagerly-Awaited New Double Live Album 'Made In KuBa'. First Single & Video "Wishing For More (Live)" Out Now!

The ‘Dynamic Root Rock Experience’ remains the most fitting description of SIENA ROOT’s sound - and that’s exactly what the Swedish quartet’s new double live album, Made in KuBa, delivers. Out worldwide on October 3, 2025 via Perception - A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music, the album is available to pre-order now.

Recorded over three intimate nights in March 2024 at Germany’s legendary Kulturbahnhof (KuBa) in Jena, the release picks up where 2011’s Root Jam left off, cranks the tape machines even harder, and continues the band’s commitment to authentic, audiophile sound.

The band’s signature jams are all here: rich in improvisation, dynamic contrasts, and sonic storytelling. To ensure the highest analogue fidelity, long-time sound engineer Ove Noring was brought in as tape operator to record the shows and track every note, jam and thunderous applause direct to tape - no overdubs, no studio tricks, just pure stage energy.
The first taste of the album, lead single "Wishing For More," captures the soulful tension and explosive chemistry that SIENA ROOT channel so effortlessly on stage.

It’s a track that leaves listeners, fittingly and indeed...wishing for more.
“‘Wishing For More’ was first recorded on the album “Far From The Sun” in 2008, as the rocking opening of the B-side. Through the years of touring we enjoyed to play the song and it developed a character of its own. The song became something more than the shuffle it originally was on the studio recording. We are so pleased to have captured this enchanted groove and energy live on tape.”

Watch the new live footage video below:
Stream "Wishing For More (live)": https://sienaroot.rpm.link/wishingPR

The SIENA ROOT quartet - anchored by founding members Sam Riffer (bass) and Love Forsberg (drums & percussion), and rounded out by Zubaida Solid (vocals & keys) and Johan Borgström (guitars) - welcomed guest musicians Erik Peterson on keys and Lisa Isaksson on flute to further enrich the performance on selected songs.

What sets Made in KuBa apart from other live albums is its uncompromising authenticity: a fully live, all-analogue recording with a set list crafted together with fans, featuring twelve tracks from across the band’s catalogue - none of them repeated from Root Jam. The result is not just a document of three unforgettable nights in Jena - it’s a fully immersive experience that bridges the space between stage and speaker. And this time, they’ve gone a step further: Made in KuBa was mastered at half-speed, a meticulous process that enhances the sonic depth of the vinyl version.
“Half-speed mastering is an old-school technique that vinyl lovers will recognize,”the band says. “It’s a delicate but complex process that makes “Made in KuBa” an even more three-dimensional listening experience - for you and for us.”
Wishing for more? Get it in full analogue glory. Pre-orders open today for classic black double vinyl (with artistic cut-out cover) and double digipak CD at https://sienaroot.rpm.link/madeinkubaPR

DANKO JONES - ANNOUNCE 12th STUDIO ALBUM LEO RISING

Toronto’s hardest‑working power trio, DANKO JONES, roar back with LeoRising, an eleven-track masterclass in sweat-soaked, no-nonsense rock ’n’ roll. The album – produced to red‑hot perfection by long‑time collaborator Eric Ratz – lands on 21 November 2025 via Perception - A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music and  Sonic Unyon (for Canada). Pre‑orders, limited‑edition vinyl variants, and special merch bundles are available today at https://dankojones.rpm.link/leorisingPR

Following the rabid reception to opening salvo "What You Need" and party‑starting anthem "Everyday Is Saturday Night”, LeoRising turns the dial past eleven with razor‑sharp riffs, thunderous rhythms and fist‑pumping hooks. Guitar legend Marty Friedman (MEGADETH, CACOPHONY) makes a blistering guest appearance on future single “Diamond in the Rough,” while other stand‑outs – from the priapic swagger of “Hot Fox” to the roof‑rattling “It’s a Celebration” – prove DANKO JONES are keeping rock alive by doing it better than anyone else.

I like the routine of recording, touring, writing, repeat - I can do that till I’m dead,” grins front‑man Danko Jones and adds “It may sound boring, but it’s so hard for a band to achieve. I don’t take this lightly. Also, it’s a page out of the Motörhead handbook so it works! LeoRising is another serving of peerless hard‑rock: bass, drums, guitar, vocals, no frills. Roll the windows down and crank it.”

John Calabrese laid down bass tracks from Finland, Rich Knox flew to Toronto to record drums, and Danko worked with producer Eric Ratz in the same city to capture vocals and guitars. Despite recording separately once again, the band’s chemistry is unmistakable. The result is pure DANKO JONES: tight, loud, and built for the stage. Leo Rising may be their most electrifying and uplifting record yet — a jolt of high-octane rock made for packed clubs, open highways, and everything in between.

Proving that their time was well-spent, Danko, bassist John Calabrese and drummer Rich Knox have conjured yet another blazing banquet of nourishing rock goodness on their 12th studio record, due for release later this year.

IRON SAVIOR To Release Final Part Of “Reforged” Double Album Series, “Machine World,” on August 22, 2025

IRON SAVIOR are one of the dinosaurs in the scene as well as pioneers of the traditional power metal genre and can proudly look back at almost 30 years of history. Founded by Piet Sielck (guitars, vocals) in 1996, the Hamburg, Germany based band quickly established themselves with their energising mix of power metal and sci-fi driven lyrics. Especially fantasy inspired metalheads have always been in love with IRON SAVIOR’s early works which are built on a story about a spaceship carrying the band’s name and their popularity is unbroken. Iron Savior [ 1997], Unification and Interlude [both 1999], Dark Assault [2001], Condition Red [2002] and Battering Ram [2004] were bestsellers - until they ran out of stock.

In order to meet the demand, IRON SAVIOR -- now consisting of Sielck, guitarist Joachim Küstner and a rhythm section powered by Patrick Klose (drums) and latest member Patrick Opitz (bass) -- didn’t only re-record the material from their Noise Records years (1997-2004), they even added an additional doze of enthusiasm to the original songs. Part 1 and 2 of these session have been received enormously well from fans, that’s why the group are even prouder to announce the release of the concluding third part of their legacy worshipping Reforged series today.

Due out on August 22, 2025, Reforged - Machine World features reinterpreted songs as well as a cover version of JUDAS PRIEST’s "Starbreaker," skillfully bridging to IRON SAVIOR’s old tradition of frequently paying tribute to the ‘metal gods.’ The new 2CD/LP marks the quartet’s debut release at their new label home PERCEPTION, the promising new division of Reigning Phoenix Music, where they (re-)unite with other well-known acts such as DANKO JONES, GRAILKNIGHTS, J.B.O., and SERIOUS BLACK among others. The 16 included tracks were recorded and produced at Powerhouse Studio Hamburg by frontman Sielck, who additionally took care of mixing, mastering and artwork/layout of the album.

Band leader Piet Sielck comments: “After collaborating with Nils Wasko and Jochen Richert [managing director] at AFM Records, I didn’t have to think twice when it came to deciding about a new partner. Continuing success, chart entries and three satisfied parties - band, fans and label - are more than enough reasons to follow the two of them to PERCEPTION and the Reigning Phoenix Music family. Onwards to at least 15 more years of this fruitful union!”

Label strategist Wasko adds: “We’re really thankful for IRON SAVIOR’s trust, and we’re equally happy to continue working with Piet and his fellow men at PERCEPTION. Having a collaborative long-term plan, IRON SAVIOR are only warming up, and we’re extremely confident to reach new extragalactic spheres together, with their final 'Reforged' chapter blasting off on the journey to their next original studio album. Power and melodic metal maniacs, go aboard!”

Today’s announcement is supported by the first appetizer of the ‘upgraded’ album, "Eye Of The World [2025 Version]," which can originally be found on IRON SAVIOR’s 2001 effort, Dark Assault.

“I was just never happy with this song. Somehow it didn't really take off. But the new version is an absolute hit and is now even being released as the first single,” comments Sielck.

Despite delivering MPE’s much-loved trademark elements, Darkness Invisible is not content to simply revisit old formulas, but it expands upon them: the arrangements are more cinematic than ever, layered with subtle electronic textures, ambient passages, and dynamic shifts that mirror the emotional weight carried within the lyrics - and the result is a work that feels both cathartic and devastating.

First single "Of Death," also the opening track of their new record, a bone-shattering yet enormously melodic piece with a darkly majestic chorus, can be heard below:

J.B.O. Embark On Adventurous Hike Through Franconian Woods In "Ka-Fump!" Music Video

J.B.O. the self-proclaimed ‘defenders of nonsense,’ serve the first slug from their upcoming album Haus Of The Rising Fun today. Living in a world turning faster than you can even follow, the Franconians look back on the ‘good ol’ times’ with their single "Ka-Fump!," which invites fans to the band’s new record, due out on January 9, 2026 through new label partner PERCEPTION. The song originates in Shania Twain’s world-wide known track "Ka-Ching!" but comes along in a unique pink wrapping as it can only be created by J.B.O.

They rejoice: “‘Ka-Fump!’ In neo-German, the opening sound of a beer bottle would be described as ‘satisfying.’ We’ve reflected on why it is like that and which emotions it provokes, resulting in the lyrics of this song. Or as we’re used to say in Franconia: ‘Let’s go and have a party!’”

The accompanying music video guides the audience deep into Franconian undergrowth where the group -- Veit, Hannes, Ralph & Wolfram -- have embarked on an almost endless quest for well-deserved after-work beers. At the end of this adventurous trip, J.B.O. are finally rewarded by the Holy Hop Grail - presented by a very special guest. Who that is? Find out below:

Stream the single: https://jbo.rpm.link/kafumpPR

The creational period of J.B.O.’s ‘pink light district’ opus is almost over, and more details can be expected very soon. Until then: cheers!
