Goth Rock Icons THE 69 EYES Unveil New Single “Brandon Lee (Forma Acustica)” + Official Music Video

THE 69 EYES are thrilled to unveil their new single “Brandon Lee (Forma Acustica),” out now via BLKIIBLK. 

Originally featured on ‘Blessed Be,’ the song was first released in 2000 and became an international success for the band. Its title refers to the late American actor Brandon Lee, who played the lead role in the dark cult classic “The Crow” (1993).

The single was mixed by acclaimed American producer Matt Hyde, who also produced THE 69 EYES’ ‘Back In Blood,’ recorded in Los Angeles in 2009. Known for his work with Slayer and Deftones, Hyde most recently mixed Megadeth’s self-titled album ‘Megadeth’ (2026), which reached No. 1 in the United States.

The music video for the track was filmed at Suomenlinna, Helsinki, and directed by Elias Ryynänen. Paparazzi models Corinna Puleo and Lotte Vainio bring timeless catwalk glamour to the band’s gothic rock world, evoking the turn-of-the-millennium aesthetic.

The single is the first taste of an acoustic record, set for release in early 2027. THE 69 EYES will also bring their melodic side on tour in February next year, with a nationwide concert hall tour across Finland.

The new single arrives as HARDCORE SUPERSTAR prepares to return to the road for the “Dirty Halo Tour,” a 20-date run through Sweden and Finland beginning October 2nd in Malmö. The tour will continue into Europe and the rest of the world during 2027.

"The Weight of a Thousand Skies" is a song about the feeling of carrying the weight of rejection, uncertainty, and everything that comes with trying to build a life around something you truly believe in.

"For me, a big part of the song comes from repeatedly putting myself out there in the music industry — reaching out, taking chances, trying to create opportunities, and sometimes being met with rejection or complete silence," says singer Katerina Nicole. "After a while, that silence can start to feel incredibly heavy. You start questioning yourself, wondering if you’re good enough, and asking how many times you're willing to try again."

Rising Singer/Songwriter Kinsley Unveils Debut EP Learn To Live

Long before she began writing songs, MCA artist and Sony Music Nashville writer Kinsley turned to poetry as a way to process her feelings, experiences and the world around her. That love found its way into songwriting, where she discovered a place to tell stories with the honesty and emotion that have become central to her artistry. The 22-year-old singer/songwriter unveils her debut EP Learn To Live, available now via MCA.
 
“I hope people hear these songs and feel like they can find a piece of their own story in them,” shares Kinsley. “I’ve been in places where I didn’t have the words for what I was feeling, and music gave me somewhere to put all of that. Kaitlin Butts Asks "What More Could You Want" Ahead of 'Hello, Honk Tonk' (10/30)

Tulsa-born singer/songwriter Kaitlin Butts turns inward with “What More Could You Want,” the latest offering from her upcoming fourth studio album, Hello, Honky Tonk, arriving October 30 via Republic Records. A Broadway-ready piano ballad, the song is an autobiographical sketch of a performer looking at herself in the mirror and asking how much more she has to give.

Where other songs from Hello, Honky Tonk revel in the colorful characters, nightlife and theatrical spectacle of the honky tonk, “What More Could You Want” pulls back the curtain to reveal the person at the center of it all. The result is an intimate meditation on the complicated relationship between performing, seeking approval and wondering whether what you give is ever enough.

Continuing to find inspiration in the vaudeville vignettes of movie musical Chicago and Disney World’s beloved Country Bear Musical Jamboree, the clip brings the album’s cover to life giving Butts her own Teddi Barra moment.

It was during a recent trip to see the original Jamboree before it was updated, a favorite of hers as a kid, that inspiration struck. “When Teddi Barra came down from the ceiling on her swing, my mom and I just looked at each other and I was like, ‘That is me,’" she says of the cowboy-hatted, feather-boa sporting brown bear who inspired the album’s cover.  

While Butts fantasizes about the lives of those who come to her virtual honky tonk, she hopes that fans walk out of it not just knowing her better, but themselves as well.

“All these songs are very deeply personal to me, and I relate to them word for word,” she says. “But my intention is never just to be relatable. I hope people find their own lives within the whole thing.”

Named one of Rolling Stone’s most anticipated albums for 2026, Hello, Honky Tonk is a love letter to the honky tonks and nightlife that have shaped Butts while becoming a huge part of her life on the road. Recorded in Nashville with producer Tofer Brown (Carter Faith, Willow Avalon, Little Big Town), the album brings to life a bar like no other, populated by a cast of characters listeners might recognize from the dance floor, behind the bar or from the corner booth.

The album’s theatrical world was inspired in part by the vaudeville vignettes of Chicago and Disney World’s Country Bear Musical Jamboree. Butts, who began performing in musical theatre as a child, envisioned the album as a place where all of these characters could coexist.

“The thought behind the concept was how in Chicago, the character Roxie Hart is dreaming up what her show would look like and all the people in it,” says Butts. “I picture all of this happening at Skinny Dennis here in Nashville. These are all the different people in the room. There's the bar fight that's happening. There's the bad girl that just got off work. There's me being the entertainer. There are so many people that really love the night life. It’s a connector for people.”

“What More Could You Want” follows Butts’ recent releases “I Wanna Be Bad” and “Never Really Mine.” Together, the songs offer glimpses of the wide-ranging characters, emotions and musical theatricality that await when listeners say Hello, Honky Tonk on Oct. 30. 

The album continues the momentum of Butts’ critically acclaimed Roadrunner! in 2024, a bold reimagining inspired by Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! that landed on numerous year-end best-of lists.

The new project marks Butts’ first full-length release since signing with Republic Records in October 2025 and follows The Yeehaw Sessions, her fan-favorite EP featuring genre-bending takes on songs including Chappell Roan’s “Red Wine Supernova,” Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle,” The Chicks’ “Sin Wagon” and Don Williams’ “Tulsa Time,” alongside her viral anthem “You Ain’t Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me),” which has amassed more than 157 million TikTok views and 67 million global streams.

Butts continues to expand her creative footprint both onstage and behind the camera. Earlier this year, she joined Willow Avalon on “Hypothetically Speaking” and its official video, starred in Ella Langley’s music video for the award-winning hit “Choosin’ Texas,” co-directed and wrote the treatment for Flatland Cavalry’s “Unglued” and joined The Band Perry on the reimagining of their hit “You Lie (Forever Version).”

She has also joined Lainey Wilson on her Whirlwind Tour and Ella Langley on The Dandelion Tour, headlined her own sold-out overseas tour with the European Cowgirl Experience and was featured in the Country Music Hall of Fame’s American Currents exhibition for the second consecutive year. Clutch Announce New Album 'Wasted Lands'; Share Music Video For Title Track

Maryland rock institution Clutch have announced their fourteenth studio album, Wasted Lands, set for release on January 22, 2027 via the band’s own Weathermaker Music. Written and recorded at their longtime Frederick, Maryland base, the Doom Saloon, Wasted Lands reunites Clutchwith producer Machine for the first time since 2015’s Psychic Warfare. The sheer velocity of their creative collaboration can be felt from the first note of the record and is expertly displayed on today’s release title track, “Wasted Lands”. Neil Fallon’s lyrical knack of conjuring characters from a handful of strange, sharply observed details and dropping them into Clutch songs with their own vibrant and storied mythologies has long been a defining characteristic of the Clutch canon. On “Wasted Lands,” he conjures a creature so malign that H.P. Lovecraft and Stephen King are invoked only to make clear that even they could not dream it up. Rumor casts it as a government experiment, a heavenly angel or an omen preparing the ground for the end of days. Nobody knows for certain. The locals call it Neil Patrick Fallon. Sharing some thoughts on today’s release, Neil Fallon says 

"The inspiration for the lyrics in Wasted Lands came about when it was brought to my attention that someone had been dragging my name on FaceBook (weird, right?). Apparently, I had reneged on a free t-shirt and dinner. I think it was a prize in a pay to play contest. Not to overstate the obvious, but it was a load of horse hockey. Many people tried to explain to this person that it was not me and that they had been hustled. But they simply would not believe it. So I thought, screw it, no half-measures. You want a monster? Let’s give you one."

Beneath Fallon’s lyrical story-craft, Jean-Paul Gaster, Dan Maines and Tim Sult lock into a classic-Clutch, riff-driven groove featuring a very intentional and strategically placed bass-drum hit from Gaster. One he knew would make the live crowd go wild. He shares

“There’s a part where Neil says, ‘Vegetable, mineral, man, or beast.’ And I put a bass drum on, ‘man or beast,’ and Machine thought that was kind of weird. He was like, ‘Man, you’re covering up the vocal!’ And I said, ‘No, that bass drum is gonna make the crowd go nuts, I guarantee it.’ And it does, because there’s nothing more exciting than having a big bass drum slam through a PA, and Neil singing a vocal on top of it. I mean, I get goosebumps from that, you know?”

Across Wasted Lands, Clutch keep their riff-heavy foundations intact while making room for a sharper melodic streak. Tracks including “Colorado Fuel and Iron,” “Stage Fright” and “Loaf and Jug” build their considerable weight around chord progressions as much as individual riffs. “Beware the Fever” brings banjo onto a Clutch record for the first time, using a rough demo played by Fallon and recorded by Gaster during a writing session. Despite several attempts to re-record the performance, nothing quite came close so the original recording is what went on the record. 

Fallon’s lyrics open in the rubble of the Georgia Guidestones on “The Drifter Returns” and close beneath an exploding star on “The Message is Clear.” The route between them runs through Colorado’s Highway 50, abandoned company towns, corporate appetites, creature-feature horror and deep space.

After more than three and a half years with Albert Schweizer helming the band on lead vocals, Scary Kids Scaring Kids is proud to announce Albert as the band’s official lead vocalist, marking the first time in more than a decade that Scary Kids Scaring Kids has moved forward with a permanent vocalist.

Albert will front the band both live and on all future releases, beginning with the band’s new single, “Something in the Water,” out now, and their forthcoming record, "RISE".

For the past several years, Scary Kids Scaring Kids embraced collaboration with different vocalists while continuing to create new music. Releases including "Out of Light" and "Maps Written in Water" remain an important part of the band’s story and evolution. This next chapter isn't about erasing or recreating any era of Scary Kids Scaring Kids. It represents a unified lineup, a shared creative identity, and a clear direction for where the band goes next.

“We never wanted to force this. Albert has been a huge part of this band for years, on and off stage. This feels less like making a change and more like acknowledging what’s been true to us for a long time now,” said Pouyan Afkary and Chad Crawford in a joint statement.

The band is also proud to announce that Colton “Coba” Westerman has officially joined Scary Kids Scaring Kids as a full member on bass and vocals.

Both Albert and Coba have been heavily involved in shaping this next chapter beyond their roles as performers, contributing to the songwriting, arrangements, and overall creative direction of the new material. As permanent members of Scary Kids Scaring Kids, they aren't simply stepping into existing roles. They're helping define what the band becomes moving forward.

Today’s announcement coincides with the release of “Something in the Water,” the first single from the band’s upcoming record, "RISE", and the first release to fully represent this lineup. The band describes the new material as its heaviest work to date, while retaining the emotion and dynamics that have long been central to Scary Kids Scaring Kids.

For longtime fans, "RISE" isn't an attempt to replace the band's history. It's a continuation of it. After more than three and a half years fronting the band live, Albert Schweizer becomes its official lead vocalist onstage and on record, while Colton “Coba” Westerman joins as an official member on bass and vocals. Save Us Share "Last of Me" Video — WATCH

Transcontinental trio SAVE US — Miguel Owls [vocals], Chris Biddiscombe[guitar], and Benji Havercroft [drums] — will release their new album Death To Something on October 16 via Solid State Records. Pre-order the album, produced by Landon Tewers, here.

It's a lush, vocal-forward track that cycles masterfully through a course of quiet-loud dynamics. Strap yourself in; this one's an emotional thrill ride that will connect with fans of Deftones, Loathe, and Dayseeker.

"'Last of Me' was an emotional challenge for me," explains Owls. "I had so much I wanted to say, but I really pushed to keep it clear and honest without feeling wordy or cheesy. It's about finally breaking free from a toxic relationship and recognizing the grip it had on you for so long. There’s a lot of weight behind that realization, but also a sense of release. I truly hope this song helps people find the strength to let go, move forward, and start healing."

The origin story of SAVE US and how the globally-based band came together is quite simple. Back in 2023, Owls was regularly posting covers on social media and quietly cultivating a following online. Hailing from the Central Valley of California, he never expected to find his future bandmates in his DMs. Bristol, UK-based Biddiscombe stumbled upon one of the vocalist's Architects covers and sent a message on TikTok. Clicking right away, they commenced creating music (despite over 5,000 miles between them). Due to a factory day job from 1pm-9:30pm, Owls typically woke up at 5am in order to write with Chris and Benji before work. Prior to meeting in-person, the trio had remotely recorded a few tracks. Eventually, the singer crossed the pond to shoot the visual for "Distance" from their LUCID EP. Reacting with listeners, the track clocked north of 2.6 million Spotify streams. The group maintained their momentum with 2024's EXIST EP. A year later, they inked a deal with Solid State and decamped to Michigan where they recorded with sought-after producer and The Plot In You mastermind Landon Tewers.

Ultimately, the band's name reflects their shared experience.

"Chris and Benji were both ready to stop doing music," Owls reveals. "I was in the same boat. We were all on the edge of letting our dreams go. Out of nowhere, we found each other, went all the way in together, and the band genuinely saved us. We're always dabbling in emotion, so our goal is to reach you on a human level."


Mission accomplished on Death To Something, which in all actuality, brought the band members back to life.

Chicago -based metal act REPENTANCE has released a deeply personal tribute to the band’s founding member Shaun Glass with a brand-new video for "Fade Into Silence". The track, which is featured on the band’s upcoming third studio album "Retaliate", is out now and you can watch it below:

 

Shaun Glass, the founding member and driving force behind REPENTANCE, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2026. Following his tragic death, the band decided to postpone the release of "Retaliate" from its originally scheduled summer release to November 27, out of respect for their brother, friend, and bandmate. 

Vocalist Adam Gilley comments: "We decided that 'Fade Into Silence' would be the next single from the record because we wanted to dedicate this release to Shaun Glass. Of all the songs on the record, 'Fade Into Silence' just felt like the perfect song to honor him - especially because it was a song that Shaun himself wrote.

His unexpected passing has left a major hole in our hearts and in this band. Shaun wasn’t just a bandmate or a friend; he was our brother. He was the one who created this band and helped give it its identity, and he was deeply loved by everyone of us. It’s difficult to put into words what his loss means to us, and things will never quite be the same without him.

This song now carries a meaning we never expected it to have. Every note is a reminder of Shaun, his creativity, his passion, and everything he gave to this band. Shaun Glass spent more than four decades shaping the Chicago metal scene and was a driving force behind influential bands including Terminal Death, Sindrome, Broken Hope, SOiL, Dirge Within, The Bloodline, and, most recently, REPENTANCE. Throughout his career, he shared stages with some of the biggest names in metal and left behind a lasting musical legacy that continues to resonate with fans around the world.

Formed in 2018, REPENTANCE have built their sound around crushing groove metal, technical precision and uncompromising intensity. Following their debut album God For A Day (2020), the band signed with Noble Demon and released the EP Volume I - Reborn(2021), introducing vocalist Adam Gilley to the fold. Their sophomore album The Process of Human Demise (2023) further established their modern take on groove metal and thrash.

Now, "Retaliate" will arrive on November 27, 2026, via Noble Demon. Produced by Alex Lackner at Accelerated Sound and mixed by Ari Mihalopoulos at Inner Light Studio, the album marks another chapter in the band's story - one that will now forever be connected to the legacy of its founder.

CARMERIA Present New Single “Unto The Dawn” With Official Music Video, Ahead Of Forthcoming Album Ex Cathedra

“Unto the Dawn” is the second single to arrive from CARMERIA's forthcoming third studio album Ex Cathedra, scheduled for independent release on October 30, 2026. The Australian symphonic metal and gothic rock band present an anthem of support in “Unto the Dawn,” inspired through their own experiences of providing care to loved ones and the positive impact CARMERIA's music has had onto their growing online community. 

Continuing the Gothic grandeur established in the first single “Caelira,” “Unto the Dawn” is an enthralling melodic offering that carries somber moments and uplifting elements. The track is infused with a message of hope and comfort in the face of the shadows, "We cannot take another person’s suffering away, but we can help ease the burden through love and support."

“Unto the Dawn” was written and arranged by CARMERIA singer/songwriter/producer Jordan von Grae. The song is about providing support for a loved one. Acknowledging that often we do not have the means to alleviate another's pain, “Unto the Dawn” instead focuses on the importance of being present and supportive in dark times. 

“Unto the Dawn” draws on personal experiences of offering love and support to a friend in a period of turmoil, and serves as a love letter to fans and listeners who have expressed to CARMERIA that their music has aided them with comfort in times of difficulty. 

The comfort and companionship of CARMERIA's music is revealed through their Patreon community, The Carmunity, a number of whom participated as extras in the video for “Unto the Dawn.” With some members travelling over 1,000km to be at the shoot, this release embodies the power of music. 

The official music videos for “Unto the Dawn” and their previous single “Caelira” were designed and developed by Jordan von Grae, produced by Jordan von Grae and Mishka Bobrov, and directed, filmed and edited by Greg Oroth. Filmed at VAMP by Lisa McGuigan in the Hunter Valley region of NSW, the accompanying music videos form part of the broader visual identity surrounding Ex Cathedra, which sees CARMERIA embracing a Gothic and vampiric masquerade aesthetic through glittering masks, lavish garments and sweeping cloaks.

Ex Cathedra was mixed by Jordan von Grae and mastered by Miro Mastering. The album and single covers were designed by Jordan von Grae, illustrated by Hassane and coordinated by Mishka Bobrov. Album photography was completed by Matt Bartolo.

In 2026, CARMERIA return with their third full-length album, Ex Cathedra, a record that expands the band’s established symphonic and gothic foundations with a stronger melodic rock influence.
