MØL - share new single & video "Young"

Danish alt-metal visionaries MØL return with 'Young', the second single from their eagerly awaited new album Dreamcrush, due on 30th January 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records. Now available on all streaming platforms, 'Young' follows lead single 'Garland'

Where 'Garland' ascended into majestic shoegaze territory, its shimmering guitars and brooding baritone vocals hinting at an impending rupture of blackened force, 'Young' wastes no time. It erupts in classic MØL fashion with searing fury from its very first moments, before plunging listeners into the band's signature haze of glittering guitar lines, towering crescendos and cathartic melodicism that blurs the line between beauty and brutality.

With their third studio album now just weeks away, MØL continue to push the boundaries of their creative expression. Dreamcrush tempers the band’s sharpest, most jagged edges with soaring alt-rock hooks, delving into the tension between dreams and reality, and the ways aspiration can both sustain and consume us. By steeping even their most aggressive moments in melody, MØL deliver their most explosive and affecting work to date.

Following on from the critically acclaimed Jord (2019) and Diorama (2021), MØL’s latest opus sees their sound continue to evolve as they embrace new horizons - as a band and as individuals. Drawing on influences including My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins and Smashing Pumpkins, the album explores recurring themes of belonging, resilience and finding home within oneself. Dreamcrush arrives with a renewed sense of confidence, acceptance and vigour.

Recording took place over several months in Frederik Uglebjerg’s Aarhus studio, allowing the band to shape the album gradually. Vocalist Kim Song Sternkopf explores his baritone register, delivering lyrics in Danish and English that reflect personal introspection and a revisitation of past events. Guitar solos by Nicolai Busse elevate the emotional journey, while abstract, Emil Nolde-inspired artwork by Daniel Owen at Nemesis Design (Sleep Token, Architects, BFMV, TesseracT) and photography by Rolf Meldgaard visually complement the album’s exploration of dreams, reality and emotional reconciliation.

Fans can experience the album live as MØL embark on a headline tour across Europe and the UK throughout February 2026 with support from Tayne and Cold Night For Alligators, promising shows that translate the album’s intensity into a visceral, unforgettable performance.

Comments vocalist Kim Song Sternkopf, "It feels incredible to bring DREAMCRUSH out into the world, not just through the record, but by stepping back onto stages across Europe and the UK. This will be our second headline run and it honestly feels like a new and thrilling chapter for us in MØL.

"The songs on DREAMCRUSH explore how our hopes and ideals can both lift us up and break us apart. Performing them live will be like tearing up that dream to the crowd, fragile, heavy and luminous all at once.

"We’ve also been lucky to bring along two incredibly solid acts who embody that same spirit in their own ways: TAYNE, with their raw, industrial noise-pop energy and Cold Night for Alligators, who channel this beautifully intricate and emotional strain of alternative metal from Copenhagen. Together, we plan to bring you dynamic and compelling sets each night across Europe and the UK. We can’t wait to see everyone again!"

About MØL:
Aarhus (DK) based MØL blend swirling guitars and hissing vocals with the dreamy ambience of shoegaze to form a unique blend of soundscapes and crushing passages. Inspired by bands like My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Drop Nineteens, Lantlôs and Alcest, MØL released their self-titled debut EP back in 2014.A year later, the band had perfected their sound on their second EP II, produced by Jacob Bredahland released in 2015. Both EPs were very well received and drove them on to do some empathic liveshows, which were praised by press and helped establishing a dedicated audience. In 2018, MØL made an international breakthrough signing with Holy Roar Records (UK) who released their debut album JORD to critical acclaim. Recorded at Grapehouse Studios and mixed and mastered by Chris Kreutzfeldt, JORD gained massive media acclaim turning MØL into one of the most talked about Danish metal newcomers in recent years. The album was also released as an instrumental version and in 2019, the band re-released their two first EPs, remastered for CD and vinyl. On November 5th, 2021, MØL released their second studio album, DIORAMA, the group’s first for Nuclear Blast Records. Recorded and mixed by Tue Madsen (Gojira, Meshuggah, Heaven Shall Burn), the band has successfully developed its captivating, aggressive sound even further. The band comments:
"We are relieved to finally send our second album out into the aether for each and everyone to experience, feel and hopefully make their own.

We are thankful for the collaboration with Tue Madsen who really helped bring out the essential MØL-sound out into the production. A huge appreciation to our excellent vocal features by our manager Mirza Radonjica (SIAMESE) on 'Photophobic', and Katherine Shepard (Sylvaine) on the concluding title track 'Diorama'. And also thanks to our friend and visual wizard Jon Gotlev / noheroes.dk for once again accompanying our sound with a strong visual identity. All your contributions have helped us to fully realize this work as it was intended. MØL are what we are today, because of the sum of our parts.

We hope you allow music to take up a bit of time and space, reserved for itself in your lives. It might just end up bringing you a healthy form of emotional escapism, introspection and reflection during a time of great change. Hope to see you live and alive somewhere very soon.

In the meantime - enjoy this live-session of our single 'Vestige' at
The Royal Danish Academy of Music recorded and mastered by Frederik Fede Brandt Jakobsen.

Love from Denmark!

Nicolai, Ken, Frederik, Holger & Kim / MØL"

MØL UNLEASH MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE "VESTIGE"

On November 5th, MØL return with their second studio album, "DIORAMA". With the first singles already being released and the band having recently announced a new European tour for early 2022, the Danish blackgazers are perfectly prepared for a ferocious attack that will further cement their position as pioneers of the modern black metal scene. Recorded and mixed by Tue Madsen (Gojira, Meshuggah, Heaven Shall Burn), "DIORAMA" will unveil a captivating and aggressive sound even further and today, the band unleashes a music video for their single 'Vestige', that deals with gaslighting and our constant wish to free from reality with the cheapest means that the world offers to us. Watch the music video, captured and edited by Tobias Scavenius, here:

The band comments on the song and the video:
"Gaslighting takes on many forms and our willingness to subject ourselves to an illusion knows no boundaries. However rotten and hollow the core - we still buy into the idea of purchasable raptures, frail salvations, an escape from modern meaninglessness. The video juxtaposes a sunbathed, stylized expression with inspiration from Dario Argento’s colorspace of Susperia from 1977 with vivid colors and high contrasts. Unpleasant and unnerving, yet lavish and extravagant shots are interposed with the performance of the band, spiraling through daylight to nighttime in the vibrant interior of the Dome."
