Fox Lake Announce "NEW WORLD HEAT" ALBUM + Share "Pure Adrenaline" Video

Born in the mile-high city of Denver, FOX LAKE bring an elevated and energetic sound to the heavy music scene. The band formed back in 2017 as friends jamming in their basement, looking to branch out from the standard metalcore sound by incorporating elements of their favorite genres — hardcore, hip-hop, and rock 'n' roll.

Through the present, FOX LAKE continue to level up by delivering a musical brass-knuckled punch to the face that lands on anyone in their proximity.

Today, the band has announced its new album NEW WORLD HEAT. It arrives August 1 via MNRK HEAVY. Pre-order it here or here.

Fox Lake have also shared the video for the plate-shifting new single "Pure Adrenaline." Bolstered by thick-as-thieves grooves, a boatload of bounce, confident vocal swagger mixed with furious screams, and an onslaught of rhythmic aftershocks, "Pure Adrenaline" will reverberate pits from coast to coast.

With this song, Fox Lake prove they are beyond ready for their moment.

Watch the video below.

"Even though 'Pure Adrenaline' didn't come together until the latter half of the recording process for the album, most of the ingredients existed as far back as 2021," the band shares, revealing the single's origin story. "The majority of the instrumental demo was written years ago, and the lyrics and energy were conceptualized in our first few conversations about what we wanted to bring to this album.

"We all came together and unanimously agreed that we wanted the new songs to be faster, more visceral, more concrete, and most importantly, all gas, no brakes. Pure f**king adrenaline."

No brakes whatsoever!

Reading the lyrics throughout New World Heat, Fox Lake reveal the redemptive theme at the album's beating heart, saying, "The basic concept of the album is about burning things down in order to restart. It's about who you are versus who you want to be. The world you live in versus the world you want to live in. It takes guts to strip everything away and take a hard, honest look at your life and the world around you."

They continue, "Everyone has things that hold them down and things that seem to hold their reality in place. Habits, social circles, vices, beliefs, political systems, traumas, etc. Those things will be different for everyone. But the one constant is that action begets action and inaction begets inaction. You either drown in complacency or burn parts of yourself away to create a better world. We all have a choice. Musically, we felt like this concept fit perfectly with where we were at. We all have different inspirations that we want to bring into Fox Lake. It can be tricky to mesh together all the genres that we're inspired by while still having an original sound."

The band finishes, "So, for this record, we burned down the limitations we had previously put on ourselves and restarted our writing process with a singular goal — to sound like Fox Lake. The end result is an album that we're extremely excited about and that feels very authentic to us. The music is faster, heavier, groovier, and catchier than ever before. It's a new sound for a new world. Everyone is going to have different opinions on whether the band is more hardcore, nu-metal, rock, or metalcore. But everyone's gonna know it's Fox Lake."

Burn, baby, burn, and let the phoenix arise from the ashes in the form of Fox Lake and New World Heat. Reboot, renew, and rise to the top.

Fox Lake will embark on plenty of touring in support of New World Heat. Stay tuned for more details on the band's road treks.

The Callous Daoboys Unleash New Single "Distracted by The Mona Lisa" + Official Video via MNRK Heavy

Witness the latest exhibit from Atlanta, GA sextet The Callous Daoboys with their new track "Distracted by The Mona Lisa" unveiled today via MNRK Heavy. Accompanying today's release is the visceral official music video showcasing the band's electrifying energy they bring to their live performances. Today's drop leads to the grand opening of The Museum Of Failure with the release of the band's highly-anticipated forthcoming album 'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven' out on Friday, May 16. When asked about the inspiration behind the track, vocalist Carson Pace shared:

"There have been countless times in my life where I have felt married to my passion. It’s been detrimental, painful, and has forced me to sacrifice a normal life. This song is me committing to being married to that passion, regardless of the consequences. It’s less a spit in the face of normality, and more a love letter to my own band."

The journey through The Museum Of Failure began with the visceral, full-force energy of "Two-Headed Trout/The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog", followed by the striking reveal of "Lemon", where pop harmonies danced with heaviness. ABOUT THE CALLOUS DAOBOYS

A fearlessly free-spirited collective from Atlanta, Georgia, The Callous Daoboys revels in high-strung extremity, careening from furious metal cacophony to unabashed rock 'n roll and back again. The band Kerrang! hails as “gloriously chaotic” is like a Molotov cocktail combining extreme metal and nü-metal with life-affirming glee, as each song deliriously swerves across stylistic lines.

The Callous Daoboys are frontman Carson Pace, possessed like a young Mike Patton; fretboard-abusing guitarists Maddie Caffrey and Daniel Hodsdon; frantic bassist Jackie Buckalew; destructive drummer Matthew Hague; and spirited violinist Amber Christman

Celebrated by SPINFaderRevolverBrooklyn Vegan, and New Noise (who praised the band as “innovative, unflinching, brazen”), The Callous Daoboys have turned heads on raucous tours with TesseracTProtest The Hero, and SeeYouSpaceCowboy, and at prestigious international metal festivals. Celebrity Therapist (2022) more than delivered on the promise of the band’s early rumblings. I Don’t Want to See You in Heaven (2025) ups the ante on every conceivable level. The album was produced by Dom Maduri (Silly Goose, GEL, Bummer Hill).

The Callous Daoboys resurrect noise rock as if they’re summoning the dead. Sure, every band claims to blend heavy riffs with catchy melodies as if that’s somehow fresh by itself, but this crew delivers that with a wrecking ball of unrestrained frenzy and total mayhem. The band’s three full-length albums and various EPs loudly testify to their fearless creativity and clever craftsmanship. - Ryan Downey

Dogma releases "Banned"; EU Tour Announced!

Sinners, the time has come. Dogma’s newest invocation, "Banned," is here, a profane melody woven in flesh and defiance, a hymn to liberation wrapped in forbidden rhythms, a  fusion of metal and tango that tears through the veil of sanctimony.

Some acts are condemned, others are justified. Who draws the line? "Banned" tells another chapter of the story, the moment desire collides with imposed virtue, where submission is shattered, and pleasure becomes power.

But sinners, they are not stopping here.

For the first time ever, Dogma sets foot on European soil, joining forces with Patriarkh on the Sinning Over Europe Part 1 tour. With this, the first gates are broken, and their presence is marked across Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, and Belgium.

This is only the beginning. There are more places to reach, more sinners waiting in the shadows. Let this be a warning: Europe is ready for Dogma, and they are ready to take it.

MEET & GREET WITH DOGMA: A CALL TO THE UNHOLY CONGREGATION

This first-ever European tour is not just about the stage. Dogma summons our sinners to a limited, intimate gathering beyond the lights and the noise. This is your chance to meet Dogma, to speak, to share, to be part of the movement.

These meet & greets are extremely limited. No show tickets included.  Reserve your place here: https://officialdogma.store/eu-meetngreet/

And sinner, if you come to the show, don’t come empty.  Wear your Dogma emblems. Let us see you under the crimson light adorned in your devotion.  “Banned” is out.  Europe awaits.  Will you join the sin?

MESSAGE FROM LILITH

Sinners,

For the first time, we set foot on European soil. A land steeped in history, contradiction, and rebellion, where saints were martyred, heretics burned, and revolutions born. Now, Dogma arrives, not to kneel, but to rise.

"Banned" is revelation. A wound torn open, a truth they buried, a desire they shamed. It is not just a song, but a confession, a defiance, a sin they tried to erase. Some will flinch, some will fall silent, and some will wake up, which one will you be?

To those who will stand before us on this tour, I want to see you. I want to see you wearing our emblems, our mark, your devotion. Show me that Europe is ready. Show me that Dogma belongs here.

This is just the beginning.

Rise. Sin. Be free. Cause this is not Banned.

Your Spirit Dies drops new single featuring Zao’s Dan Weyandt

“Serpentine” is the latest single from South Carolina metal/hardcore outfit YOUR SPIRIT DIES. The track comes by way of the band’s crushing My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest debut, set for release on May 2nd via MNRK Heavy and features a guest appearance by vocalist Dan Weyandt of Zao.

Comments vocalist Brandon Byars, “‘Serpentine’ ended up being one of the last tracks we put together for the record. We were running two writing stations simultaneously — [guitarist] Tyler [Dorman] was writing these fast, aggressive d-beat riffs while [guitarist] Holden [Hall] brought some ideas that he had written previously. From there, we all dug in with [producer] Greg [Thomas ] to refine it further. I think the song really captures the essence of the album, showcasing a lot of the sounds that define it.

“Lyrically, it's something everyone can relate to. Almost everyone has had to deal with someone who’s got narcissistic tendencies, and, in some cases, you've had to walk away — whether it’s a relationship, friendship, or otherwise. I think the lyrics illustrate the sense of catharsis you get from finally ‘cutting the cord’ with those kinds of people.”

On having Weyandt on the track, Byars further shares, “It’s been awesome getting to know Dan over the last few years. Considering our name literally came from a Zao song, we thought our full circle moment was getting to tour with them, but to have his voice and face featured in a piece of our art is somehow even bigger than that. He did an amazing job and I think it elevates the song even further for it. A huge gratitude goes to him.”

YOUR SPIRIT DIES ANNOUNCE 'MY GNAWING PAINS WILL NEVER REST' DEBUT ALBUM

South Carolina metal/hardcore outfit YOUR SPIRIT DIES will unleash their My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest debut full-length on May 2nd via their new label home of MNRK Heavy. The band presents their first single, “In The Depths Of Grief,” and album preorders.

Small towns across America are home to countless untold stories, and Columbia, the state capital of South Carolina, is no exception. With a population just over 140K, this city may be small, but it’s big on spirit. YOUR SPIRIT DIES, hailing from this very place, channels that humble yet fierce energy, embodying an underdog work ethic and an unstoppable fire. After buzzing nationwide and earning acclaim from the likes of Brooklyn Vegan, No Echo, and more, the group shares their story on My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest.

“The record encapsulates every single thing we’re about,” notes vocalist Brandon Byars. “We’re five people who were born in small towns in the South. We were never supposed to leave these places; we were ‘supposed’ to live and die here. For us, the simple fact we’re doing this is huge. We tried to craft an album that stands on its own, and we busted our asses to make it as different as we possibly could.”

Comments Scott Givens, MNRK’s SVP of Rock and Metal, on the band’s signing, “YOUR SPIRIT DIES is an amazing young band and they make a great addition to the MNRK Heavy family.”

The members of YOUR SPIRIT DIES each cut their teeth in other regional favorites, with Byars and guitarist Holden Hall in Remembrance, guitarist Tyler Dorman in Hopesick, and bassist Keagan McChesney in Soul Press, while Brannon Crumpton does double duty on drums in Moru. The band arrived in 2020 with the debut EP, The Process Of Grief. Two years later, they accelerated their ascent with a follow-up EP, Our Saints Drown In Ash. Earning critical acclaim, BrooklynVegan hailed the track “2000 Needles” “a raw, heavy metalcore song,” and No Echo raved, “The South Carolina-based quintet brings to mind the golden era of Trustkill Records.” Distorted Sound professed, “the band can receive no less than full marks for their command of the genre’s essentials.”

And the command continues as they bulldoze a path for My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest, with tracks like “Serpentine” featuring Dan Weyandt of Zao. Piercing fretwork rains down over a double bass beatdown, alternating between guttural growls and haunting spoken word. Byars’ roar explodes with a warning, “You will die alone.”

Melodic guitar and ominous orchestration set the tone for “Unjust God,” giving way to rapid-fire drums and black metal style tremolo picking. The barrage barely lets up as Byars screams, “I stare into the eyes of an unjust god,” bleeding into a bold clean chorus. “I lived in a Southern Baptist home for my entire life,” he reveals. “Early on, I knew it was something I wasn’t interested in. The title, My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest, is a line from the Book of Job. The whole book is about God giving Job all of these trials and messing him up pretty badly. The song ponders, ‘Is God just?’”

Then there's the lead single “In The Depths Of Grief.” Squeals practically choke the groove as the breakdown quakes with impressive force. “It’s personal,” he elaborates. “My mom is seventy-one, and she just got back from the hospital. ‘In The Depths Of Grief’ is about watching your loved ones grow older, wither, and eventually die. She isn’t there yet, but she has bad heart problems. When I was a teen, we had our differences. I did the whole rebel thing and got into stuff I probably shouldn’t have. I’m not as angry as I was, so our relationship is definitely better than it’s ever been.”

Underoath announces new album

Underoath, the iconic and genre-defining band, has once again shattered expectations with their forthcoming album, 'The Place After This One,' to be released March 28, 2025 via MNRK Heavy. Renowned for their ability to transform chaos into harmony and aggression into anthemic survival, the Florida-based group delivers a record that promises to redefine heavy music and expand their already massive audience. With two RIAA certified gold albums, three Grammy nominations, and a legacy of uncompromising authenticity, Underoath is back—and they’re louder, bolder, and more essential than ever, while continuing to push boundaries in ways that few bands dare.

'The Place After This One' marks a truly momentous occasion in the band's history. It is a stunning document and a remarkable collection of songs, signaling a renaissance period in the beloved act’s storied career. The album showcases where they’re from, and more importantly, where they're headed. It's a masterpiece, from musicians at the top of their game. Sonically, its references are varied and complex, and is a distillation of everything they’ve accomplished thus far: a crystalline vision blending hard rock, electronic experimentation, guttural screams and anthemic, call-to-arms choruses.

Following a string of new singles beginning last year—including “Generation No Surrender,” “Survivor’s Guilt,” and “Teeth”—the band returns today with a punishing new song from their upcoming album, “All The Love Is Gone,” alongside its accompanying music video.

Speaking on the song , vocalist Spencer Chamberlain calls it “...one of the most out-there songs we've ever written. We really wanted to create a track that was drum-and-bass-driven, kind of in the vein of The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Noisia, etc. We also pulled elements from Justice and The Streets. There’s a darkness to those artists that’s so heavy and interesting to me, and we really wanted to embrace that on this song. To me, this is kind of our version of that—sharing a lot of those elements and vibes but still keeping the heaviness of Underoath at its core.”

He continues, “Lyrically, I wrote it from the place I used to go whenever something went wrong in my life, which I think we can all relate to. It's a place I now consciously avoid when things fall apart. But it’s that moment when everything in your life has fallen apart, you’re at the bar, and you just don’t care anymore. Maybe it’s the end of a relationship, the loss of a friend or family member, or you just got fired—whatever it may be, we've all had a night like this. It’s a scary feeling, and it’s a place I never want to go back to, but that’s the song in a nutshell. It’s pretty on the nose, so to speak, but I felt like I needed to write it down to remind myself to never go there again.”

In 2025, Underoath will be visiting Australia for the first time since 2019, performing They’re Only Chasing Safety in its entirety along with an encore set, as direct support for Alexisonfire . Soon after their jaunt in Australia, the band will return to North America for a run of shows supporting Rise Against and Papa Roach as part of their Rise of the Roach tour. The band will also be performing at Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival on May 10, 2025 in Columbus, OH and at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, FL on May 16, 2025 . Tickets available for purchase here.

The Callous Daoboys Announce New Album 'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven' out May 16 (via MNRK Heavy)

Atlanta, GA sextet The Callous Daoboys cordially invites you to The Museum of Failure, a sonic exploration of the band's newly announced album 'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven', with a grand opening date of May 16 (via MNRK Heavy).'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven' is the follow-up to the band's 2022 critically acclaimed full-length 'Celebrity Therapist' and 2023 EP 'God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys', nominated for 'Best Heavy Record' in the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) Libera Awards 2024. In their most personal album yet, listeners are welcomed 300 years into the future to such a place where mankind's farcical attempts at immortalizing greatness are on full display, including each of the 13 tracks on the album. However, such artifacts beg the question whether these were simply ahead of their time, or rightfully discarded by patrons?

Today's glimpse inside reveals the first exhibit, "Two-Headed Trout/The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog", along with the official cinematic music video. When asked about the inspiration behind the forthcoming album, vocalist Carson Pace shared:

The album is an artifact that’s been preserved, and hundreds of years in the future, you’re listening to this album in the museum. It’s a known failure, but the narrative is ‘if it survives forever, is it truly a failure?'

“Everything is very singular and personal. I’m not making an album commenting on anything societal or political this time, this is an album just for me. It’s every emotion I’ve felt and sobering thought since 2021. I can only make this album now, not in three years when I’m thirty, not ten years ago when I was seventeen. This is the snapshot of 24-27. A scrapbook of trial and error, or better yet, a Museum of Failure.

Speaking about "Two-Headed Trout/The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog", Pace commented:

We would like to proudly present our first preview of the 'I Don’t Want to See You in Heaven' collection, ahead of its full release. These two pieces do not represent a thesis or mission statement of the collection, but rather two extremities. If you’re a fan of us being a rock band, I have good news for you. If you’re a fan of us being a chaotic metalcore band, I have GREAT news for you. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Enjoy.

Fox Lake Drop "Cold Hard Truth" Video

FOX LAKE are roaring into 2025. The band has dropped the video for the new single "COLD HARD TRUTH." Watch it below.

The song, a ferocious rap x rock hybrid, will rattle your teeth loose from your gums.

"'The 'Cold Hard Truth' is a blend of some our favorite elements from nu-metal, hardcore, and hip-hop," the band states. "We wanted the whole song to feel like the moment your luck runs out. It's just as heavy as it is groovy and the lyrics cut like a knife."

The band announced its signing to MNRK HEAVY last year.

Born in the high elevation of Denver, FOX LAKE bring an elevated and energetic sound to the heavy music scene. The band started in 2017 as four friends jamming in their basement, looking to branch out from the metalcore sound by incorporating elements of their favorite genres: hardcore, hip-hop, and rock 'n' roll. FOX LAKE has continually leveled up by giving audiences undeniable grooves, punch rhythms, and an anti-establishment swagger. It all culminates in a sonic, brass-knuckled punch to the face that lands on anyone in their proximity.

DARK CHAPEL SET TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM 'SPIRIT IN THE GLASS'

Guitarist/singer/producer Dario Lorina, best-known as a longtime member of Black Label Society (2014 to present), is launching his brand new band, DARK CHAPEL.

Led by Lorina and also featuring Brody DeRozie (Guitar), Mike Gunn (Bass), and Luis Silva (Drums), the band’s airtight guitar-craft and sludgy grooves with magnetic melodies, bluesy phrasing, and grunge mystique are spotlighted on their debut album, Spirit in The Glass, which is due out February 28, 2025 on MNRK Heavy.

Dario’s gritty delivery on the song takes hold on a hypnotic hook, bleeding into a fret-burning lead punctuated by dramatic bends. “’Glass Heart’ is a lyrical and almost cinematic musical story that started with a riff and lyrically stemmed from emotion,” he reveals. “That emotion created an imagery for me that I began writing about as if that feeling was a painting I was writing to describe.”

Striking an elusive balance between dark and heavy, ethereal and passionate, Spirit in The Glass  is as Lorina describes, ““This is a culmination of all artistic influence, whether musical or otherwise.”

Dario Lorina began his professional career in 2006 when he was 16 as the touring guitarist with the late Jani Lane (ex-Warrant). At 19, he joined veteran metal act Lizzy Borden whom he toured with for four years. He released two instrumental records with Mike Varney on Shrapnel Records in 2013 and 2017 titled, DARIO LORINA and DEATH GRIP TRIBULATIONS. On January 1, 2014 he joined Black Label Society and has since been touring worldwide alongside Zakk Wylde, performing on guitar, piano and backing vocals ever since. Lorina dueled solos with Wylde on Black Label Society's 2022 album DOOM CREW INC., and he joined Zakk Wylde on the January 2022 cover of Guitar World magazine.

“The guitar never really left my hands,” he laughs. Years of woodshedding followed. At 16 years old, he answered the call to audition for Jani Lane and found himself on the road with the ex-Warrant frontman shortly thereafter.

Shadows Fall Sign With MNRK Heavy + Band Shares "In The Grey" Video

Shadows Fall, who were at the forefront of the New Wave of American Metal scene that dominated the '00s, are back with a brand new song and a new label! The band has shared the new single "In the Grey." Watch the video below.

The band — singer Brian Fair; guitarists Jonathan Donais and Matt Bachand; bassist Paul Romanko; and drummer Jason Bittner— is also thrilled to announce it has signed with MNRK Heavy.

The song is classic Shadows Fall — galloping solos, riffs on top of riffs, three-tiered vocals, memorable, stadium-sized melodics, and introspective lyrics.

"We are incredibly excited to share our first new music in over a decade with our single 'In the Grey' and are proud to announce our partnership with MNRK Music Group," states singer Brian Fair. "When Shadows Fall first got back in the practice space to prepare for our reunion shows, we did not know if it would lead to new music, but the excitement of jamming together and all of the riffs that Jon [Donais] had floating around in his head led us in the direction almost immediately. The idea began flowing, the energy started building and new songs began taking form out of the the chaos."

He continues, "'In the Grey' is a full-throttle thrasher that contains all of the elements that are the bedrock of the Shadows Fall sound, but also adds new elements and approaches that developed in the recent past while we all explorer other musical avenues. Lyrically, I was trying to put into words and describe the physical manifestation of the weight and crushing power that can come with depression, that feeling that the weight of gravity is crashing down on you or being trapped in the dark waters of our own mind, trying to rise to the surface and take a breath. It can be an overwhelming and lonely place but there is always a light at the end of that tunnel and we always need to keep striving for a brighter day and escaping the grey."

Fair finishes, "We want to sincerely thank everyone for the decades of support that you have given Shadows Fall and we cannot be happier to be back and rocking once again. Crank up 'In the Grey,' raise those horns to the sky, and bang your head as hard as you can.  Stay tuned for more music and news soon..."

Scott Givens, MNRK's SVP of Rock & Metal, stated, "When you get the chance to sign a genre-defining band like Shadows Fall, you do it. We at MNRK are proud they have chosen to work with us as they enter the next phase of their career."

Dead Icarus release debut album 'Zealot' today

Dead Icarus, the new band of former Atreyu lead vocalist and Gold-selling artist Alex Varkatzas, as well as Gabe Mangold of Enterprise Earth and Brandon Zackey, have officially released their debut album ZEALOT today, October 31, via MNRK HEAVY.

Produced and co-written by Mangold, ZEALOT is a precise and pummeling execution of airtight technical riffs, miles of solos, blast beat assault and battery, and screamed, growled, and sung vocals.

"Zealot is the culmination of our unyielding, fanatical belief. We set out to create a dynamic, multi-faceted record that incorporated everything we love about music. It's heavy, it's melodic, it's angry, it's hopeful, it has riffs and hooks but above all it's sincere and comes from purely from our heart and minds. No outside interference. We hope you connect with and enjoy the music as much as we do," says Varkatzas.

"'ZEALOT,' the title track, is our most out of the box song on the record. It definitely toys with a nu-metal vibe but with our own unique Dead Icarus spin. It’s about abandoning comprises and following your internal compass NO MATTER THE COST. It's also the final video we shot in the haunted house, a perfect fit for this time of year."

Dead Icarus leans on the uncanny creative union between vocalist Varkatzas, guitarist and producer Gabe Mangold, and drummer Brandon Zackey. The band truly gets its wings from the undying commitment made by its members. The musicians pursue their artistry with a resolute sense of focus, manifesting in the precise execution of airtight technical riffs, virtuosic solos, blast beat assault and battery, and hard-hitting vocals.

Countless fans worldwide initially got to know Varkatzas as co-founder and original frontman for influential Southern California metalcore stalwarts Atreyu. After two decades earmarked by chart-shaking success, a pair of Gold albums and Gold singles, sold-out shows around the globe, and critical renown, he embarked on his next chapter in 2020. Enter Mangold. Celebrated as guitarist for Enterprise Earth, he and Alex instantly clicked and forged a musical partnership, yielding their 2024-released Ad infernum EP. Inciting critical applause, Revolver promised, "Fans of old-school Atreyu will definitely enjoy."
