Nergal commented on the new single:

“'I, Scvlptor' is a new Behemoth song rooted in the tradition of monumental tracks like 'O Father O Satan O Sun!', 'Lucifer' or 'Nieboga Czarny Xiądz', while at the same time opening a new chapter. It carries that epic weight but also takes an unexpected turn that makes it feel fresh and different from the previous pieces. Lyrically, it is a metaphor for the endless process of shaping oneself - an uneven struggle with matter and personal limitations. The paradox is that from the moment we are born we are already destined to die, so perhaps it is not about victory itself, but about the constant act of sculpting who we are”.

'I, Scvlptor', which will be out 04 September 2026, is an exclusive release featuring eight previously unreleased songs - seven new studio recordings and one live track. It is an autonomous body of work that bridges the band's foundational past with their present creative fire. The release features brand-new studio material embodying the full force of Behemoth's live energy and intensity. Two tracks - 'Rise of the Blackstorm of Evil' (from The Return of the Northern Moon, 1992) and 'In Thy Pandemaeternum' (from Pandemonic Incantations, 1998) - are newly re-recorded versions of early Behemoth material, reshaped with modern sonics while preserving their original spirit; a tribute to the bands who had a huge influence on Behemoth - 'In League With Satan' (originally by Venom, feat. Shagrath of Dimmu Borgir) and 'The Return of Darkness and Evil' (originally by Bathory, feat. Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ). Available on CD, LP, MC and Limited-Edition Box Set through Massacre Records worldwide and digitally via Nuclear Blast Records.

Nergal commented:

We’re fucking excited about the release of I, Scvlptor. Even though it’s not a regular studio album and is, in fact, more of a compilation, the mere fact that it contains songs nobody has ever heard before makes it a significant release for us. What’s more, some of these tracks are likely a little different from what we offered on our last album, The Shit Ov God. That’s why we see I,Scvlptor as an important record — a connecting piece, a bridge between where we are now and whatever may come next in the distant future.

In October 2026, two of the most influential forces in extreme metal join together for a monumental tour: Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir will embark on the “In League with Satan” co-headline tour (with special guests, Dark Funeral), storming across Europe and the UK. Details below:

TRAUMA PARTS WAYS WITH BASSIST GREG CHRISTIAN, NEW MUSIC RELEASE ‘AWAKENING’ SET FOR SEPTEMBER 9TH

Bay Area thrash metal band TRAUMA has parted ways with bassist, Greg Christian, after both parties came to a mutual decision and wish Greg all the best in his musical undertakings. Greg played bass on the band’s last two albums ‘As The World Dies’ and ‘Awakening’. TRAUMA’s new album ‘Awakening’ will be coming out on September 9th via Massacre Records and can be pre-ordered via this link: https://lnk.to/trauma-awakening

Michael Spencer, formerly with Flotsam and Jetsam/Sentinel Beast, has stepped in for the band’s appearances at the Little Devil Club on August 13th and the Alcatraz Festival on August 14th.

“I’ve done shows in the past with both Brian and Joe and had a copy of ‘As The World Dies’, the band’s 2018 release,” says Spencer, best known for being the bassist to fill the unexpected void in Flotsam, after Jason Newsted quickly left the band for Metallica. “So when Brian called to see I’d be interested in helping the band fill their open bass spot for some European dates, after sending me few advanced tracks off TRAUMA’s new album ‘Awakening’, I was in. Pretty impressive music coming from the guys that will be a blast to play live at Alcatraz Metal Festival, hopefully hanging with a few of my Belgian and Dutch friends.”

And TRAUMA is excited about playing on stage with Michael. "We are delighted to have Michael Spencer onboard for these shows."

In addition to Brian Allen (vocals), TRAUMA’s line-up that recorded ‘Awakening’ features Joe Fraulob (guitar), Steve Robello (guitar), Greg Christian (bass), and Kris Gustofson (drums). ‘Awakening’ was produced by Juan Urteaga and features artwork by Ioannis.

Originally formed in 1981 in San Francisco, TRAUMA was one of the first heavy metal bands – along with Exodus, Metallica, and Testament – to trailblaze the style now known as “thrash.” And the thrash metal band’s original bassist was none other than the late/legendary Cliff Burton (who would later join Metallica). 1984 saw the release of the group’s debut album ‘Scratch and Scream,’ before the band parted in 1985. But in 2013, Trauma reunited and have been back in business ever since.

“I am very excited that we are at a point of new music coming out to the metal fans,” says Gustofson. “This album was recorded during a very strange time and was almost off the table. We were lucky to have Brian Allen join the band and make the new album possible. Am hopeful the fans of thrash metal will sink their teeth into the AWAKENING! It is a feast for all!”
