REVERYA Unveils Haunting New Single “Lost," A Modern, Ethereal Descent into Emotional Undertow

Emerging progressive act REVERYA returns with their newest single, “Lost,” a sweeping and emotionally immersive track that blends modern progressive composition with an ethereal sonic atmosphere. The song captures the feeling of surrendering to forces beyond control, whether love, memory, or the tides of one's own mind.

Built on dynamic shifts and layered textures, “Lost” moves fluidly between introspective calm and crushing intensity. REVERYA crafts a soundscape that mirrors the ocean imagery threaded through the lyrics. Calm surfaces give way to powerful currents beneath, creating a track that feels both intimate and cinematic while balancing vulnerability with explosive momentum.

At its core, “Lost” explores the pull between self preservation and emotional surrender. The lyrics evoke a haunting push and pull between staying near the surface and feeling irresistibly drawn into deeper waters. Lines such as “Dive deep into the sea as the waves crash down to seduce me” and “Drag me down and leave me to drown in a love to get lost in” embody the song’s central theme, the allure and danger of losing oneself in something consuming.

Musically, REVERYA leans into progressive sensibilities through expansive arrangements, evolving rhythms, and atmospheric layers that unfold gradually before crashing into moments of catharsis. The track’s dynamic composition reinforces its emotional arc, shifting from delicate tension to powerful release.

With “Lost,” REVERYA continues carving out a distinct identity within the modern progressive landscape, one where ethereal ambience and emotional intensity coexist in powerful contrast.

CHRONICLER OF ARDUL Releases New Single "Zarek the Bloody" Ahead of Upcoming Album Sounds of Ardul

The fantasy-driven project CHRONICLER OF ARDUL unveils its latest single, "Zarek the Bloody," offering listeners their first glimpse into the evolving sound and storytelling of the upcoming album Sounds of Ardul, set for release April 10, 2026.

Framed as one final bard’s song, "Zarek the Bloody" explores the blurred line between legend and truth. In the world of Ardul, bards carry the responsibility of immortalizing heroes and villains alike, singing of their triumphs, their infamy, and the complicated truths that lie somewhere in between. Zarek is one such figure, a renowned and widely traveled warrior whose reputation precedes him wherever the songs are sung.

Driven by accordion, bass, percussion, and vocals by David Williams, the track presents Zarek as both myth and man. The verses paint him as a heroic wanderer worthy of praise, while the choruses suggest something more ambiguous beneath the legend. Like many figures etched into history through song, Zarek’s story may depend on who is telling it, or perhaps who commissioned it to be told.

The composition began its life on guitar before evolving into its final arrangement built around accordion, giving the piece a brooding folk character reminiscent of the opening theme from the television series Peaky Blinders. As the song developed, its lyrics shifted and reshaped until the narrative and melody aligned, revealing a layered portrait of a character whose true nature remains open to interpretation.

Zarek himself plays a role in the creator’s larger fantasy trilogy, and "Zarek the Bloody" offers an early glimpse of the character’s presence within that story. The song hints at the deeds that built his legend and raises new questions. Is the feared warrior truly the hero the verses celebrate? And what of the cursed blade whispered about in taverns and camps alike? Could Zarek possess the legendary Sword of Virné?

The single arrives ahead of Sounds of Ardul, the third release from CHRONICLER OF ARDUL. The album represents a new creative direction for the project, leaving behind metal elements in favor of orchestral and fantasy-focused compositions.

In wide brush strokes, Sounds of Ardul paints the emotional landscape of its world. From the dark beauty of the Woodlands to the lurking depths of the Underground, from heroic calls to arms to uneasy encounters with figures whose true nature remains hidden. The album plays like a video game soundtrack set within a classic fantasy setting, built for immersion and storytelling.

And like many great adventures, it all begins in a tavern, with bards singing songs.

"Zarek the Bloody" is available now. Sounds of Ardul arrives April 10, 2026.

EMBERS OF DAWN Unveil Thunderous New Single "Don't Wait To Die"

EMBERS OF DAWN present their explosive new offering, "Don't Wait To Die". The single is a brutally heavy industrial metal anthem incorporating mechanical rhythms and a haunting yet memorable chorus hook, all entwined in a dark atmosphere.

EMBERS OF DAWN explain, "lyrically, the song is about refusing to live passively. It’s a song that confronts the feeling of being haunted—by memories, by technology, by the weight of old patterns—and turns it into a call to action." The band continue, "the lyrics mix ghostly images with burning, destructive energy to remind us that sometimes you have to break the code, burn it all down, and start again. It’s not about waiting for the end; it’s about choosing to live with urgency, clarity, and defiance."

Powerful mechanical rhythms drive the momentum of the track while layers of atmospheric synths provide a sonic contrast. "Don't Wait To Die" demonstrates the band's intensity and reveals influences drawn from the likes of FEAR FACTORY and RAMMSTEIN. EMBERS OF DAWN combine technical precision, fierce aggression and gothic soundscapes across their music in a fusion of characteristics taken from industrial metal, cyber metal, melodic death and gothic metal.

Produced, mixed and mastered by Richii Wainwright, "Don't Wait To Die" features special guest Adrian Erlandsson (AT THE GATES, CRADLE OF FILTH, PARADISE LOST, THE HAUNTED) on drums.

About EMBERS OF DAWN:

DISSENTIENCE Unveil Monstrous Video For "Kaiju", Taken From The New EP Kaiju

Inspired by classic Japanese monster films and Lovecraftian mythology, DISSENTIENCE are left to fend for themselves and escape a destructive, nameless beast in their latest release "Kaiju". Based out of Bethlehem, PA, the progressive death-thrash unit unleash a devastatingly brutal onslaught accompanied with their humorous take on a B-movie video style, available BELOW.

"While we take the music side of DISSENTIENCE very seriously, the 'Kaiju' video was a great excuse to have some fun with the whole concept." The band shares. "The last thing the world needs is another 'band in a warehouse' or 'live on stage' music video, so we wanted to do things a little differently. Keeping the monster off-screen, we leaned into the B-Movie aspect of our inspiration as it seemingly picks us off one by one. Running around on a freezing day in northeast PA was absolutely brutal, but Sarah from Novro Studios absolutely nailed the edit and made all the frostbite worth it!"

"Kaiju" is the title track and narrative climax of their newly released four-track concept EP. The song's lyrics describe grotesque scenes of bloodshed and helplessness as the unseen terror rips through the last remnants of resistance. Sonically, brutal gutturals, riffs and rhythmic fury build with intensity throughout as the sense of urgency and impending doom escalates.

Kaiju was produced by the band alongside Corey Pierce, the record was engineered by Matt Menafro at Peach Pie Sound, mixed by Zeuss, and mastered by Alan Douches. The music video for "Kaiju" was shot and edited by Sarah Novroski & Novro Studios. The full EP is released independently and available on digital and CD formats.

The lineup features Connor Valentin on guitar and vocals, James Vitale on guitar, Sean Langer on bass, and Nick Scherden on drums. Known for their intense live performances and refusal to be confined to a single subgenre, the band continuously pushes their sound in new directions. Deathcore Ensemble SARCOMA Present Video For "Sucio Carbón"

The ferocious thrash infused "Sucio Carbón", that translates to "Filthy Coal", is the newest offering from Ecuador's SARCOMA. Descending into a plethora of extreme styles, the initial intensity of the track soon leads into the realms of death and grind before reaching an obliterating end. SARCOMA's forthcoming full-length album is set to arrive later in 2026.

"Sucio Carbón" addresses the destructive and damaging impact of consumerism in Latin America. The lyrics of the song are written "about how millions of lives are turned hollow by the intoxicating effect of materialism and greed, and how they cast a veil of fog on our reason, in favor of collecting junk and soon to be junk. There’s metaphorical instances of drowning in a sandglass and being willfully thrown into slave labor in an office, painting a tumultuous picture of consumerism delirium."

Amidst the thundering heaviness, brutal gutturals and engrossing arrangements, SARCOMA include a number of audio samples across their tracks. "Sucio Carbón" is no different, featuring a clip taken from the “Planet of the Apes” film, 1968.

"Sucio Carbón" was produced by Juan Pablo Flores and recorded at Valley of the Death recording studio. The single was mixed and mastered by Juan Pablo Rivas.

About SARCOMA:
SARCOMA is the first Spanish-language deathcore band in the world. Formed in Quito, Ecuador, in 2006, the quartet launched their debut EP Silenciosa Tortura independently that same year. 2016 brought a hiatus until seven years later, in 2023, original members Santiago Romero and Juan Pablo Flores returned to write new music, now joined by Andrés Jaramo (drums) and Andrés Éguez (bass).

During SARCOMA's first incarnation, following the first EP, the band released the debut, self-titled full-length album in 2008 with the Esclavitud del Siglo XXI EP arriving in 2013. The band embarked on a heavy national and international touring schedule in neighboring countries.

SARCOMA's unmistakable style, technical precision, and impressive live performances led them to be considered, by the media and the public alike, as the undisputed "fathers of deathcore" in South America. In early-mid noughties, the band's unique mix of hardcore and death metal elements was something unheard of in the country at the time.

The band's sound draws influence from the likes of DECAPITATED, DYING FETUS, KNOCKED LOOSE, SEPULTURA, DESPISED ICON, GOJIRA, with the addition of progressive elements and a thematic focus on their life experiences and environment of Latin America.

2023 saw the band return with renewed vigor and intent unleashing the EP Mesak, the live releases Al Rojo Vivo and En Vivo En Quito in 2024, and "Divino Poder" single in 2025, all via Valley of the Death. SARCOMA wasted no time returning to the live stage in 2023 venturing on the Mesak Ecuador National Tour, along with performances at Mechanimal Fest and Quitofest.
