ICE NINE KILLS: Score First RIAA Certified Gold Single & Drop New Live Album on DSPs

As they continue slashin’ their way through the GOLDen age of the Silver Scream, playing to sold-out crowds across the US on their  Silver Scream-A-Thon headline tour and at stadium dates with Metallica, Ice Nine Kills are celebrating yet another huge career milestone with the news that they have officially earned their first RIAA-certified gold single for the 2018 fan-favorite “A Grave Mistake.” Inspired by The Crow and taken from their smash hit album The Silver Scream, the track has now surpassed 100 million streams, cementing its place as one of the band’s most resonant and enduring releases. Watch the official music video for “A Grave Mistake Below

In an unusually worded, somewhat robotic statement, Ice Nine Kills creative mastermind and frontman, Spencer Charnas shares

"I am filled with human emotions after ingesting the data that my musical ensemble has achieved a golden status for the very first time. Programmed with a hauntingly harmonic minor cadence, 175 bpm, and a 3/4 time signature, it sufficiently garnered more than half a million sales equivalents."

Fans can also hear the band play the freshly minted gold single on their brand new live album, I Heard They Kill Live 2, available digitally today HERE. Captured during their sold-out home state show at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, MA on November 17, 2022, the record showcases the phenomenal energy of the band’s meticulously ferocious live performances, with an all-killer-no-filler setlist that spans the staggering array of mega-hits from seminal albums The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood . Full tracklist below.

Charnas adds further context with the following statement

“Captured in optimal performance conditions during a sold-out operation in the geographical region of Massachusetts, this album contains high-energy sonic outputs calibrated for maximum efficiency. As a result, these auditory data files will undoubtedly prove supremely satisfactory to the devoted Ice Nine Kills user base, aka, the Cyclos!”

All of this unfolds as the band continues their landmark, sold-out  Silver Scream-A-Thon tour—an immersive two-night headline event celebrating their cult-classic albums The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood. The band is also playing to stadium audiences on Metallica’s M72 World Tour, and will launch their own Hell of A Summer US headline tour beginning August 10, joined by Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, The Funeral Portrait, and Mest. Ice Nine Kills spread cavalier carnage with a knowing smile, as evidenced by the densely catchy songs on their pair of breakthrough albums, The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood. The INKverse boasts a series of high-concept, cinematic videos; the Psychos Only club; a mock “true crime” book; the Inked in Blood graphic novels; monthly “Nightmare on the 9th” merch drops; and the annual INK-curated Silver Scream Convention weekends. In 2024, Silver Scream Con moved into the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, not far from the North Shore birthplace of Ice Nine Kills. Led by Spencer Charnas, the internationally acclaimed band, who mix extreme metal with melody, toured with Slipknot in 2022 and was handpicked by Metallica for the M72 World Tour in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The horror community Spencer grew up loving has embraced his band in return. INK’s “A Work of Art”plays in 2024’s Terrifier 3, now the highest-grossing unrated film ever.  The single debuted at #3 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart and has remained on the chart for over 18 weeks and counting, while accumulating over 35 million streams to date. Spencerrecently launched the Pretty Evil personal care line and revealed he’s co-written the forthcoming feature film The Slashin’ of the Christ, produced by Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead).

Hailed by Loudwire as “one of the most unique acts in metal right now,” Ice Nine Kills captivates with inventive band-fan connections, immersive, theatrical live shows, and a growing legion of "pyschos" the world over. With over 2.03 million monthly Spotify listeners, 1.4 billion career streams, and 400 million YouTube views, the band has cemented itself as a dominant and visionary force in modern metal, fearlessly carving out a thrilling, horror-inspired legacy.

ICE NINE KILLS: Hell of A Summer US Headline Tour

ce Nine Kills have announced the ICE NINE KILLS: HELL OF A SUMMER TOUR, a brand new US headline run kicking off this August. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will bring the band’s twisted theatricality and cinematic carnage to arenas and amphitheaters across the country, closing out with a homecoming performance at Worcester’s DCU Center as part of the band’s annual Silver Scream Con.

The tour’s lineup spans a cross-section of modern heavy music’s most dynamic voices. From August 8 through August 31, Ice Nine Kills will be joined by Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, and The Funeral Portrait. Beginning September 2, pop-punk cult icons Mest will also join the bill, continuing through the final dates in Florida. The September 13 show at Silver Scream Con will feature Dayseeker, The Funeral Portrait, Mest, and a very special guest appearance by A Loss for Words, closing out the run in chaotic style.

Spencer Charnas, vocalist and creative architect of Ice Nine Kills, shares:

“The HELL OF A SUMMER TOUR will be a celebration of all things INK — past, present, and future.

It’s an eclectic bill, and having MEST on some of the shows is a particularly full-circle moment for me. As many Psychos will remember, I formed the band after seeing Goldfinger and MEST in Worcester 25 years ago.

The date is so important to me that I have it tattooed behind my ear.

The tour culminates in a sure-to-be historic performance at the DCU Center, where I experienced some of my first arena shows as a kid, including the Family Values Tour with our current tourmates, Limp Bizkit, and home of the Silver Scream Con.

The HELL OF A SUMMER TOUR’s last stop, at the Silver Scream Con, will also feature some New England punk rock royalty as a very special guest.”

Tickets will be available starting with an artist presale via Ice Nine Kills 'Psychos Only’ app, beginning Monday, May 19 at 11am ET / 8am PT. Additional presales—including Citi, Live Nation, Spotify, Knotfest, and more—will run throughout the week. The general on sale begins Friday, May 23 at 10am local time at IceNineKills.com/tour.

ICE NINE KILLS & REEL BIG FISH Drop Ska Punk Cover of "Walking On Sunshine" In Partnership With Sumerian Comics' 'American Psycho' Comic Book Franchise

Just in time for a killer summer, murdersome metal trailblazers, Ice Nine Kills and ska punk legends, Reel Big Fish have joined forces and partnered with Sumerian Comics' 'American Psycho' comic book series to release an incredible cover of Katrina And The Waves hit, "Walking On Sunshine". Listen to the song HERE .

Speaking on his band's reimagining of this classic track, head psycho and frontman of Ice Nine Kills, Spencer Charnas shares:

"It’s no secret to INK fans that ska punk and horror movies are what pumps through my bloodstream. When the opportunity arose to combine one of my favorite films with one of my favorites bands of all time I didn’t just jump at the chance, I skanked over to my nail gun, axe and chainsaw and bludgeoned out my favorite cover we’ve ever done."

Nathan Yocum, President of Sumerian Comics, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, sharing:

"We are thrilled to have Ice Nine Kills performing a cover of 'Walking On Sunshine' for the soundtrack to our American Psycho comic book series. Their unique blend of theatricality and intensity perfectly complements the dark and twisted themes of our story. This collaboration brings an exciting new dimension to the project, and we can't wait for fans to experience this iconic song like never before."

The 'American Psycho' comic book series by Sumerian Comics is a bold reimagining of Patrick Bateman’s notorious saga. The five-issue series delves into a dual storyline format; one tracing the chilling exploits of Bateman, and the other introducing a contemporary narrative featuring Charlene Carruthers—a social media-savvy millennial whose descent into violence mirrors the chilling escalation of her predecessor. This innovative take reinterprets the iconic tale with a story written by Michael Calero (Quested), vivid artwork by Piotr Kowalski (The Witcher, Bloodborne, Sex) and striking colors by Brad Simpson (Kong of Skull Island, Stray Dogs, Blade Runner Origins).

Today's release joins previously released tracks from the likes of Puscifer, who recorded a brand new, original single, "The Algorithm" for the comic book series, Unlike Pluto who covered Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams", Perturbator, who covered "Dangerous" by Depeche Mode and Ramsey, who covered Leadbelly's "Where Did You Sleep Last Night". Between them, the previously released tracks have racked up over 677,000 streams with current sales for the comic book series topping 80,000 units.

Fans of the 'American Psycho' franchise can look forward to more from the accompanying soundtrack for the comic book series that perfectly complements the visual frenzy and deepens the narrative's impact, making each issue a multifaceted experience of sight and sound. Head to the Sumerian Comics website for more information and to order your copies of 'American Psycho'.

To celebrate this epic new track and give fans the freshest merch to wear whilst skanking their way through the summer, Ice Nine Killshave dedicated their monthly Nightmare On The Ninth merch capsule to the release with an offed the wall collection just in time for a summer of slaughter. . Items are limited and only available for a short time, so be sure to grab yours now from www.ink-merch.com

About In This Moment

GRAMMY® Award-nominated act In This Moment recently announced an epic headlining tour across North America this spring featuring special guests Kim Dracula, I See Stars, and Mike’s Dead. “The GODMODE Tour,'' which celebrates the release of their 2023 album of the same name, will see the band perform at arenas and amphitheaters across the country. The upcoming trek is set to kick off April 28th at City National Grove in Anaheim, CA and continue through a May 25th performance at The Wind Creek Events Center in Bethlehem, PA.

Since coming to life in 2005, In This Moment have presided over a diehard fan base under the watch of “mother” figure and frontwoman Maria Brink—joined by co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel, and drummer Kent Diimmel. As millions convened upon the group’s otherworldly and unforgettable concerts, they quietly emerged as one of the most influential and impactful bands of the 21st century.

To date, in addition to the Gold-selling album, Blood [2012], the quintet have garnered six Gold and Platinum singles, followed by a trifecta of Top 25 entries on the Billboard 200 with Black Widow [2014] and Ritual [2017]. With a total stream tally well past 200 million as of 2020, Ritual elevated them to new creative and critical peaks as well.

Between selling out headline tours coast-to-coast, the group performed in arenas everywhere alongside Disturbed and appeared at countless festivals from Rockville to Sonic Temple.

Along the way, they assembled their seventh full-length, the aptly titled Mother [Roadrunner Records] with longtime trusted collaborator Kevin Churko [Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch]. Whereas Ritual hinted at a bluesy sonic sorcery, Motherbreathes the activating mantra of an unbreakable spell, commenced on first single “The In-Between.”

In 2022, the band released Blood 1983 [BMG], a reimagined EP commemorating the ten-year anniversary of Blood. Then in 2023, the longtime staples of heavy music released their eighth studio album GODMODE [BMG], a 10-song record featuring the powerful lead single THE PURGE,” the band’s stunning cover of Björk’s ARMY OF ME,” the collaborative track “DAMAGEDwhich features Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, and I WOULD DIE FOR YOU,” which appears on the soundtrack for John Wick: Chapter 4.

ABOUT ICE NINE KILLS

Decadent, devious and fiercely insane, Ice Nine Kills celebrate pop culture’s darkest edges, mining a cinephile library’s worth of iconic horror on 2018’s The Silver Scream which spawned Top 10 Mainstream Rock single “A Grave Mistake” and Top 20 hit “Savages”. The creative marriage made in hell of music and fiction began in earnest with the Top 5 Hard Rock album, Every Trick in the Book, which brought the previous three records’ themes to new levels and which the band perfected on 2021's chart-topping smash hit ’The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood.’

The phenomenally successful album, released in October 2021, scored Ice Nine Kills their first Top 20 position (#18) on the Billboard Top 200, topped the Digital and Current Hard Music charts, hit Top 5 on the Current Rock, Independent, Current Albums and Album Sales charts and has clocked up 177 million cross-platform streams to date and 15 million YouTubeviews for singles “Hip To Be Scared”, “Assault & Batteries”, “Rainy Day”, "Funeral Derangements", "Take Your Pick", "The Shower Scene" and most recently, "Welcome To Horrorwood".

Since the release of 'The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood', Ice Nine Kills have seen phenomenal growth. Throughout 2022 they toured the US extensively on 3 legs of The Trinity of Terror, their hugely successful, mostly sold-out triple co-headline tour with Motionless In White and Black Veil Brides, supported Metallica at several US stadium shows, toured the US with Slipknot and launched the inaugural edition of their horror convention, The Silver Scream Con.

The first half of 2023 has been just as insane. The year began with Spencer being featured in the music video for the official song from Scream 6 - Demi Lovato's "Still Alive", as well as the band's flyer being used in the movie with a Spencer-recommended easter egg. Since the spring, the band have been touring the world with Metallica on their M72 World Tour, headlined numerous sold-out shows on their Wurst Vacation European tour, played to huge crowds at festivals such as Download and are currently touring the US with Falling In Reverse on their Popular Monstour run. The band also have their 'Fear The Premiere' US headline shows in August, followed by the second iteration of the Silver Scream Con coming in September and will be finishing the year on a high with the the Kiss of Death co-headline tour with In This Moment.

The band’s synergy of music and lifestyle draws favorable comparisons to Slipknot and Rob Zombie. Visionary trailblazers and multimedia raconteurs, Ice Nine Kills have built a thrilling world for a growing legion of devoted true believers, with theatrical shows, high-concept videos, and inventive band-to-fan communion. Their wildly creative output has seen them become recipients of the prestigious Clio Award for Music Marketing for their "Merry Axe-mas" mobile game and their live streaming event from October 2020, The Silver Stream be nominated for 5 awards at last year's Horror Hound Film Festival Awards in the categories of Judges Choice, Best Sound, Best Supporting Performance, Best Cinematography and Best Feature. With over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, 717 million career streams to date and over 204 million views on YouTube the band are firmly cemented as one of modern metal's most vicious forces.

About In This Moment

Since coming to life in 2005, In This Moment have presided over a diehard fan base under the watch of “mother” figure and frontwoman Maria Brink—joined by co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel, and Kent Diimmel. As millions convened upon the group’s otherworldly and unforgettable concerts, they quietly emerged as one of the most influential and impactful bands of the 21st century that has amassed over 1.3 billion cumulative streams to date.

In addition to the Gold-selling album, Blood [2012], the quintet have garnered six Gold and Platinum singles, followed by a trifecta of Top 25 entries on the Billboard Top 200 with Black Widow [2014] and Ritual [2017]. With a stream tally well past 250 million, Ritual elevated the group to new creative and critical peaks as well.

Whereas Ritual hinted at a bluesy sonic sorcery, Motherbreathes the activating mantra of an unbreakable spell, commenced on the GRAMMY® Award-nominated lead single “The In-Between.”

In 2022, the band released Blood 1983 [BMG], a reimagined EP commemorating the ten-year anniversary of Blood, and most recently had their song “I Would Die For You” appear on the soundtrack for John Wick: Chapter 4.

The Silver Scream

With Vinyl Audiobook Narrated By Candyman’s Tony Todd

Pre-Order Now HERE

Fresh from the cutting room floor, The Silver Scream exposes the bloodiest behind-the-scenes details of the most gruesome, shocking, true-crime tragedy of our time. Part autopsy, part grisly director’s “cut,” this is the only book with a comprehensive exploration inside the mind of America’s notorious, celluloid-obsessed, rock star turned cinema-copycat murderer, Spencer Charnas.

Bayonet Award–winning television reporter Roy Merkin is the only storyteller in possession of the journals scrawled by disgraced psychotherapist Dr. Ian Black. The Silver Scream reconstructs, with unflinching detail, how fiction became fact, art imitated death, and the most horrific movie murders by the likes of Jason, Leatherface, Freddy, Michael, and the rest became real.

Merkin courageously slashes open the ghoulish mind and tortured nightmares of Spencer himself, probing deeply, with razor-sharp precision. Learn how the box office created so many oblong boxes. Understand why this rock n’ roll heartthrob chose to stop so many human hearts.

Inspired by Ice Nine Kills’ fifth studio album of the same name, The Silver Scream pays homage to some of the great horror film classics of the last forty years. Chock-full of references and nods to films such as Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Saw, Edward Scissorhands, The Shining, and IT, The Silver Scream blends horror fan fiction and Ice Nine Kills’ style of storytelling into a unique concept all its own

The Silver Scream is scheduled to be published August 2023 in hardcover and e-book worldwide, with a limited-edition vinyl audiobook edition featuring Candyman actor Tony Todd.

ABOUT FALLING IN REVERSE:
Platinum-selling rock band Falling In Reverse, lead by outspoken and charismatic singer Ronnie Radke, have been completely dominating the radio and streaming space in this new decade. The band, which formed back in 2008 and built itself as a mainstay of the Warped Tour scene while gracing many Alternative Press covers, has seen its latest single "Zombified" hit No. 1 Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs Chart. The band has also been generating nearly 50 million total streams per month. Falling In Reverse's previous chart-topping single "Popular Monster" earned platinum RIAA status. The track is truly a juggernaut and is a watershed moment for the band. "Popular Monster" has been streamed nearly half-a-billion times and has emerged as one of the biggest anthems of the past several years. It enjoyed a multi-week stint at No. 1 on the rock radio charts, landing in the top spot on the Mediabase Active Rock Chart, Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Chart, and the Nielsen Rock Chart, and marked the first No.1 single of the band's career. It followed the gold certification of the band's 2011-released debut album The Drug in Me Is Youand a sold-out anniversary tour. During the shutdown that was a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Radke quickly established himself as one of the most popular musicians streaming on the Twitch platform. In Winter 2022, the band returned to the road and embarked on the sold-out "Live From the Unknown" tour, further cementing its status as one of the top live draws in the genre. Falling In Reverse have continued to catch the eye of the press, with their career arc being spotlighted by top-tier, tastemaking publications such as Forbes, Billboard, New York Times, Pitchfork, and beyond.

Since the release of 'The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood', Ice Nine Kills have seen phenomenal growth. Throughout 2022 they toured the US extensively on 3 legs of The Trinity of Terror, their hugely successful, mostly sold-out triple co-headline tour with Motionless In White and Black Veil Brides, supported Metallica at serveral US stadium shows, toured the US with Slipknot and launched the inaugural edition of their horror convention, The Silver Scream Con.

The band’s synergy of music and lifestyle draws favorable comparisons to Slipknot and Rob Zombie. Visionary trailblazers and multimedia raconteurs, INK built a thrilling world for a growing legion of devoted true believers, with theatrical shows, high-concept videos, and inventive band-to-fan communion. Their wildly creative output has seen them become recent recipients of the prestigious Clio Award for Music Marketing for their "Merry Axe-mas" mobile game and their live streaming event from October 2020, The Silver Stream be nominated for 5 awards at last year's Horror Hound Film Festival Awards in the categories of Judges Choice, Best Sound, Best Supporting Performance, Best Cinematography and Best Feature. Watch the video below and stream the track HERE.

Speaking on their new release, Ice Nine Kills frontman and creative visionary, Spencer Charnas shares:

"To pay tribute to one of the most vicious slashers of the 1980's we knew we had to cook up a video and musical number with only 2 things in mind, brutality and poor taste. We are honored to have the legendary Corpsegrinder providing his signature vocal assault which will hopefully disembowel the listener. With so many ways to die this Valentine's Day, take your pick..."

THE SILVER SCREAM 2: WELCOME TO HORRORWOOD

Feat. Guest Vocal Performances From Jacoby Shaddix, Corpsegrinder, Brandon Saller, Buddy Nielsen and Ryan Kirby

Out This Friday, October 15th Via Fearless Records

Album Pre-Orders Available Now Here

Slashercore outfit, Ice Nine Kills have dropped the fourth and final new track from their upcoming album 'The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood' prior to its release this coming Friday, October 15th via Fearless Records. Today's offering submitted into evidence is titled "Funeral Derangements" and is inspired by the Stephen King horror classic, Pet Sematary. The accompanying music video features Horror icon Bill Moseley (The Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses), a show stopping cameo from Miko Hughes, the actor from the original 1989 Pet Sematary, a cameo from Josh Katz from Badflower portraying the undead Victor Pascow and James A. Janisse and Chelsea Rebecca creators of the wildly popular Dead Meat James "Kill Count" Youtube series. Stream the track here

Ice Nine Kills frontman and driving creative force, Spencer Charnas shares

"In perhaps the most ironic cameo in recent horror memory, we’ve tapped the amazing Miko Hughes, (Gage from the original Pet Sematary), to play the role of the reckless truck driver. An 18 wheeler, a twisted cat, a scalpel and an evil burial ground all come together in what I'd call our most ambitious homage yet. Dig in…"

The band also released their latest Nightmare On The Ninth merch capsule in conjunction with the new track/video. All items are available for a limited time here.

"Funeral Derangements" follows the release of previous singles "Rainy Day" 'Assault & Batteries' follows the release of "Hip To Be Scared", the first single from 'The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood', that paid homage to the Bret Easton Ellis classic, 'American Psycho'. The three tracks combined have already clocked up 15.7 million streams with 3.6 million YouTube views.

No matter how many advances there are in cinematography, practical effects, or CGI, there’s a single scene in the 1989 adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary almost unrivaled in its shockingness, and things only unravel for the characters from there. The story involves a burial ground capable of reanimating the dead, though the versions of pets (like Church, the movie’s family cat) and people that return are devastatingly malevolent. John Feldmann cowrote the track, lending a Bad Religion-style anthemic vibe. Bassist Joe Occhiuti spent time on the tour bus working on discordant noises to match some of the movie’s frightening animalism. It also contains some of the best lyrics of Spencer Charnas’ career, including, “It all began with a skid on the pavement / it ends now with Funeral Derangements / the flesh is living, but the souls have spoiled / the wrath of God lays beneath the soil.” Cue the mosh pit going wild.

A sequel of franchise proportions to the No. 1 Billboard Hard Rock Album 'The Silver Scream', 'The Silver Scream 2:Welcome to Horrorwood' doubles down in pursuit of the anthemic band’s cinematic muse.

Decadent, devious, and fiercely insane, with sardonic wit to spare, Ice Nine Kills celebrate pop culture’s darkest edges, mining a cinephile library’s worth of b-movie schlock and iconic horror on 'Welcome to Horrorwood:The Silver Scream 2' and it's prequel, 'The Silver Scream'. Physical pre-orders of the album are available now here.
