Corey Kent's Highly Anticipated HEARTLAND ROCK AND ROLL Available Now

Multi-Platinum Sony Music Nashville recording artist Corey Kent releases his highly anticipated third major-label album, Heartland Rock and Roll, available everywhere today. The 16-track collection, which Entertainment Focus noted “doesn’t just feel like another release; it feels like a statement of identity,” captures the Oklahoma native’s signature blend of country, rock and soul while putting a name to the sound he has spent his career building. Listen to Heartland Rock and Roll  Below.

Originally slated as a 15-track album, Heartland Rock and Roll grew at the last minute with the addition of the sultry “Don’t Stop Now,” written by Kent with Austin Goodloe, Lydia Vaughan and Joybeth Taylor. After Kent teased the song for fans, the response was immediate, convincing him the track needed to make the final album.

“My new song ‘Don’t Stop Now’ has gotta be the sexiest song I’ve ever written,” shares Kent. “It’s a new lane for me but I had so much fun writing and recording this one because it has so much soul and vibe to it. It almost feels like a Continuum-era John Mayer song, if John Mayer had a Southern accent. Early on I was influenced a lot by soul and R&B music and it’s been really fun to explore how I can incorporate that in my own sound.”

The song finds Kent exploring a more sensual side of his songwriting, painting an intimate scene, “We’re already halfway down the hall / Knocked a couple pictures off the wall,” before building into its soulful chorus:

Produced primarily by Austin Goodloe, with additional production from Jon Randall and Chris Farren, Heartland Rock and Roll spans 16 tracks that blend golden-hour nostalgia, rugged honesty, hard-earned perspective and the peace that comes with staying true to yourself. The album features previously released tracks including “Everyday Life,” “Rocky Mountain Low” featuring Koe Wetzel which Billboard called “an unyielding, rock-fueled anthem,” “Wannabe,” “Cigarette Burns,” “Rather Be Here” featuring Jason Aldean and current single “Empty Words,” which is Top 25 and climbing at country radio, logging almost 5 million streams per week.

“Heartland Rock and Roll is my third major label album, and it’s really the first time I’ve been able to finally name the sound I’ve been working towards my entire career,” said Kent. “The lyrics span from nostalgia, to honest regrets and gratitude for the simple things I value most in life. From top to bottom, this is me. Every artist wants to leave their mark in music... a way to say, ‘I was here and I did it my way.’ This feels like mine. This is heartland rock and roll.”

The album’s release follows a year of momentum for Kent, who has continued to build his profile on stages across the country while preparing for his biggest headline tour to date. Earlier this month, Kent announced his 2027 Heartland Rock and Roll Tour, a 20+ date cross-country trek kicking off Jan. 22 at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth and making stops in Houston, Detroit, Columbus, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Boston and more before culminating April 30 with Kent’s headline debut at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium. Tyler Nance and Jacob Hackworth will join as support throughout the tour. Tickets are available at coreykentofficial.com.

“This year I’ve played all over the world and opened up for some of my favorite artists,” shared Kent. “But now it feels like it’s time for a headline tour right here in the heartland…the Heartland Rock and Roll Tour! I’ve reimagined everything on this tour making this show unlike anything we’ve ever done. I hand picked some of my favorite venues in the country and it’s almost time!”

Infusing Oklahoma roots with the untamed energy of a rebel rocker, Kent has built his career on doing things his own way. From dancehalls and dive bars in Bixby, Oklahoma, to earning two No. 1 singles at country radio, more than 1 billion career streams and multiple RIAA certifications, Kent’s rise has been steady, hard-earned and fueled by conviction.

“I’ve been fighting my differences for so long, but now it’s like, ‘Let’s just use those,’” Kent explains. “I’m not trying to be anybody else. Bigger fades, ‘better’ lasts.”

To date, Kent has earned Platinum certification for “Something’s Gonna Kill Me,” Gold certification for “This Heart” and Triple-Platinum certification for his No. 1 breakthrough hit “Wild As Her.” Rolling Stone has praised the Oklahoman native for giving “the region’s signature sound a shot of mainstream sensibility,” while CMT and the Opry NextStage program have recognized him as an artist to watch. He has toured alongside Morgan Wallen, Jason Aldean, Parker McCollum, Jon Pardi and Koe Wetzel.

Corey Kent Reflects on "Everyday Life” with Latest Release Ahead of 'Heartland Rock and Roll’ Available 9/25

Multi-Platinum Sony Music Nashville recording artist Corey Kent releases “Everyday Life,” the latest preview of his forthcoming album, Heartland Rock and Roll, due Sept. 25. Available everywhere today, the heartfelt new track offers an honest reflection on the everyday blessings, hard work and gratitude that come with building a life worth being thankful for.

Listen to “Everyday Life” and pre-save Heartland Rock and Roll HERE. Watch the “Everyday Life” music video BELOW.

"'Everyday Life' is a bit of a departure for me in a really fun way and it puts the ‘heartland' in this record for me. I typically keep my personal life relatively private so it was cool to give folks a glimpse into my everyday life. Hearing my kids' voices in the first few seconds is such a perfect snapshot of this season of my life as a husband and father,” shares Kent. "I don’t think I’ve ever experienced more joy or had more fun writing and recording a song to date. And I hope we captured some of the magic of Travis Tritt’s ‘It’s a Great Day to Be Alive.’ Lighthearted yet REAL with a simplicity and optimism that make you want to sing along."

Written by Kent alongside Austin Goodloe, Matt Roy and Lydia Vaughan, “Everyday Life” finds Kent looking beyond the noise and celebrating the things that matter most: family, hard work, a life built together and the simple realization that sometimes having it good means appreciating exactly where you are.

The release is accompanied by a new music video that brings the song’s message to life through a deeply personal lens, featuring Kent’s family in their music video debut. The intimate visual offers a glimpse into the everyday moments behind the artist and the life that inspires his music.

“Everyday Life” continues the rollout of Heartland Rock and Roll, Kent’s highly anticipated third major-label album and the project that finally puts a name to the sound he’s spent years building.

“Heartland Rock and Roll is my third major label album, and it’s really the first time I’ve been able to finally name the sound I’ve been working towards my entire career,” shared Kent. “These songs sound like where I’m from. The lyrics span from nostalgia, to honest regrets and gratitude for the simple things I value most in life. From top to bottom, this is me. Every artist wants to leave their mark in music... a way to say, ‘I was here and I did it my way.’ This feels like mine. This is heartland rock and roll.”

Produced primarily by Austin Goodloe, with additional production from Jon Randall and Chris Farren, Heartland Rock and Roll captures golden-hour nostalgia, rugged honesty and the peace that comes with staying true to yourself. Across 16 tracks, Kent blends country, rock and soul into the signature sound that has defined his career.

The release of “Everyday Life” arrives as Kent’s current single, “Empty Words,” continues its explosive run at country radio. Already Top 40 at Country Radio with “Empty Words,” the album rollout has also included standout releases “Rocky Mountain Low” featuring Koe Wetzel, “Wannabe,” “Cigarette Burns” and "Rather Be Here," featuring Jason Aldean, offering fans an increasingly expansive look at Kent’s evolving sound.

The forthcoming album follows Kent’s breakout projects Blacktop and Black Bandana, which established the singer-songwriter as one of country music’s most compelling and unconventional voices. To date, Kent has earned Platinum certification for “Something’s Gonna Kill Me,” Gold certification for “This Heart” and Triple-Platinum certification for his No. 1 breakthrough hit “Wild As Her.”

Rolling Stone has praised the Oklahoman native for giving “the region’s signature sound a shot of mainstream sensibility,” while CMT and the Opry NextStage program have recognized him as an artist to watch. Corey Kent & Jason Aldean Unite for Anthem "Rather Be Here"; 'Heartland Rock and Roll' Arrives 9/25

Multi-Platinum Sony Music Nashville recording artist Corey Kent is joined by country superstar Jason Aldean on his new song, "Rather Be Here," available everywhere today. The collaboration marks another preview of Kent's forthcoming album, Heartland Rock and Roll, due Sept. 25.

Listen to “Rather Be Here”  Below.

Written by Michael Hardy, James McNair, Josh Miller, Morgan Wallen and Daniel Ross, "Rather Be Here" is a rowdy, feel-good anthem celebrating the unmistakable magic of a Saturday night at the local honky tonk. Fueled by a sing-along hook and southern rock swagger, the track captures this simple truth:

"There's nothing I love more about music than playing live, which is why this song resonated so deeply with me," shares Kent. "The energy from a rowdy Saturday night honky tonk crowd is the spirit of this track."

Kent continues, "I really wanted to capture a '70s-style southern rock vibe, and I'm so lucky to have my big brother in country music, Jason Aldean, on this one. It's still surreal every time I hear his voice come in on verse two. Nobody has blended country and rock & roll better than Jason. His early stuff was such an inspiration to me as an artist, so having him on this song is perfect. It has such an infectious, sing-along quality to it, and I can't wait to hear folks sing it with us at shows."

"Rather Be Here" continues the rollout of Heartland Rock and Roll, Kent's highly anticipated third major-label album and the project that finally puts a name to the sound he's spent years building.

The new collaboration follows a string of standout releases from the album, including his recent blockbuster single,"Rocky Mountain Low" featuring Koe Wetzel, fan favorite and current single, "Empty Words," which is already Top 50 and climbing on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart following early release due to overwhelming demand and millions of weekly streams, along with "Wannabe," and "Cigarette Burns."

Infusing Oklahoma roots with the untamed energy of a rebel rocker, Kent has built his career on doing things his own way. From dancehalls and dive bars in Bixby, Oklahoma to earning two No. 1 singles at country radio, more than 1 billion career streams and multiple RIAA certifications, Kent's rise has been steady, hard-earned and fueled by conviction.

Corey Kent's 'Heartland Rock and Roll' Album Arrives Sept. 25; New Track "Cigarette Burns" Out Now

Multi-platinum Sony Music Nashville recording artist Corey Kent today announced his new album Heartland Rock and Roll will arrive Friday, Sept. 25, 2026. Marking a defining moment in Kent’s career, the 16-track project finds the Oklahoma native fully embracing the gritty, genre-blurring sound he’s spent years carving out – one that fuses country, rock and soul into what he calls Heartland Rock and Roll.

Every artist wants to leave their mark in music… a way to say, ‘I was here and I did it my way.’ This feels like mine. This is heartland rock and roll.”

Alongside the album announcement, Kent released his newest song “Cigarette Burns,” available everywhere now. The smoldering new track follows recent releases “Rocky Mountain Low” featuring Koe Wetzel, viral fan-favorite “Empty Words” and the stripped-down “Wannabe,” continuing to give listeners a taste of Kent’s next chapter. Listen to “Cigarette Burns” Below and pre-save Heartland Rock and Roll HERE.

Written by Zach John King, Ben Stennis, Lauren Hungate and Jameson Rodgers, the new track pairs Kent’s smoky vocal with a unique melodic haze as he reignites the feeling of a snuffed out love. A slow-burning ballad with a mellow flavor all its own, “Cigarette Burns” is rich, reflective and rolled up in a no-filter blend of premium grade desire, savoring the sting of a love that was bad for his health, but ultimately hurt so good.

“This song has such an infectious pulse and a perspective I’ve never heard before, which is why I gravitated towards it. One of my favorite records ever is Come Around Sundown by Kings of Leon,” Kent said. “There’s a few songs on there that have a very country western feel to them while keeping all of the laid back, beach town rock elements. This song feels like it would fit right into that record which is why I think I love it so much. I can’t wait for people to hear this because to me it feels like a fresh soundscape in country music. Timeless, yet new.”

“If you’re an artist, you hope to have that record – the one that when people think about you, they think about that record,” shared Kent. “For the first time in my career, I feel like I do.”

Infusing Oklahoma roots with the untamed energy of a rebel rocker, Kent has built his career on doing things his own way. From dancehalls and dive bars in Bixby, Oklahoma to earning two No. 1 singles at Country radio, over 1 billion career streams and multiple RIAA certifications, Kent’s rise has been steady, hard-earned and fueled by conviction. But with Heartland Rock and Roll, he leans fully into the differences that once made him feel like an outsider.

“I’ve been fighting my differences for so long, but now it’s like, ‘Let’s just use those,’” Kent explains. “I’m not trying to be anybody else. Bigger fades, ‘better’ lasts.”

Produced primarily by Austin Goodloe, with additional production from Jon Randall and Chris Farren, Heartland Rock and Roll captures golden-hour nostalgia, rugged honesty and the peace that comes with staying true to yourself. Across 16 tracks, Kent delivers vivid small-town soundtracks steeped in warm distortion, raspy country soul and heartland rock grit.

Fans first got a glimpse into the album’s sonic direction with “Rocky Mountain Low (feat. Koe Wetzel),” which is Top 10 on the chart and continues its climb at Country radio, followed by “Empty Words,” which was released early due to fan demand with more than 20 million social media views. Most recently, “Wannabe” showcased the project’s stripped-back emotional core with Kent describing the song as a “cowboy campfire ballad” about finding fulfillment in life’s simplest moments.

Now, “Cigarette Burns” adds another layer to the album’s emotional depth, delivering a smoky, slow-burning anthem about a love that lingers long after it’s gone.

The forthcoming album follows Kent’s breakout projects Blacktop and Black Bandana, which established the singer-songwriter as one of country music’s most compelling and unconventional rising voices. To date, Kent has earned Platinum certification for “Something’s Gonna Kill Me,” Gold certification for “This Heart” and a Triple-Platinum certification for his No. 1 breakthrough hit “Wild As Her.”

Next week, Kent is set to bring his high-energy live show to Nashville, performing across three stages on Thursday, June 4: Billboard Country Live at Category 10, Gibson Garagefest Sony Nashville Takeover at Gibson Garage Nashville and Spotify House at Ole Red Nashville.

Rolling Stone has praised Kent for giving “the region’s signature sound a shot of mainstream sensibility,” while CMT and the Opry NextStage program have recognized him as an artist to watch. He has also toured alongside Morgan Wallen, Jason Aldean, Parker McCollum, Jon Pardi and Koe Wetzel.
