Guilt Trip Drop 3-Track "God Forgives" EP Today + Share Video for "Dirt" + "Angel Eyes"

Manchester, UK-based five-piece GUILT TRIP  Jay Valentine [vocals], Jak Maden [guitar], Sam Baker [guitar], Tom Aimson [drums], and Lily Kilcoyne[bass] — are one of the most exciting and fast-rising bands in heavy music. They have surprise-dropped the three-song EP, God Forgives, today, February 11. Listen and get it here.

It includes two new tracks — "Dirt" (which premiered on Daniel P Carter's Radio 1 Rock show on February 9) and "Angel Eyes" (which premiered via SiriusXM Liquid Metal on February 10) — as well as a new mix of the previously released "Burn."

The band also shared a music video event presented in two parts featuring "Dirt" and "Angel Eyes," which can be viewed below. It's quite a one-two knockout punch.

"God Forgives is a culmination of progress and the embodiment of Guilt Trip's identity, whilst consciously trying to build on the style and songwriting onSeverance we are yet embracing and moving with the sound we achieved on that record," says Valentine. "The songs were written with one thing in mind: 'Make it better' and we hope we have hit the mark for every Guilt Trip fan out there."

Regarding the accompanying video, he says, "It was birthed by a mix of transitioning lyrical themes into visuals and original ideas that we felt best represented the subject matter metaphorically. We wanted to show something other than just a live performance — a story that could entertain while relating to the music and still convey a message but be open enough for the watcher to make their own interpretations."

The EP highlights the band's gritty and groove-laden metallic hardcore style — and is just a taste of what's to come for the band's forthcoming full-length.

Guilt Trip, who announced their signing to Roadrunner Records last year, will also embark on a co-headline U.S. tour with Malevolence that runs through April. All dates are below. Get tickets here

ABOUT GUILT TRIP:
Historically, Manchester, UK breeds a certain toughness. As a pillar of the 19th century Industrial Revolution in Northern England, factories and warehouses line much of the city's rain-baptized topography. A hardworking lot who shoot straight without apology, its denizens traditionally take an incredible amount of pride in where they come from. Embodying the grit and gusto of Manchester, Guilt Trip bring a blast of homegrown intensity to their hybrid of hardcore and metal. The five piece slides striking melodies in between throat-slitting thrashy riffs and earth-splitting breakdowns.

Amassing tens of millions of streams and playing to packed crowds, they’re primed to amplify this hometown energy and pride on a global scale with a series of 2025 singles and their forthcoming debut LP for Roadrunner Records. More information about the new album will be released in due course.

Guilt Trip started to forge a seething signature style without comparison back in 2015. Jay and Jak cemented a lifelong bond as best friends at four-years-old when they met at reception in school. Over the years, the duo introduced one another to various favorite bands. Eventually, they welcomed fellow Manchester scene friends Tom, Sam, and Lily to the fold. To get to this point, the collective grinded the old-fashioned way one gig at a time, bulldozing their way out of sweaty basements and onto cramped club stages. They dropped the Unrelenting Force EP during 2016 followed by their 2019 full-length debut, River of Lies. The latter spawned "Thin Ice," which reeled in 7.1 million Spotify streams and counting. 2023's Severance marked a turning point. It boasted popular collaborations with LANDMVRKS and Malevolence, while KERRANG! hailed their "unique brand of hardcore that sees them delve into elements of thrash, old-school hardcore and fist-pumping metal." Beyond sharing the stage with everyone from Sylosis to While She Sleeps, they lit up festivals, including Download, Hellfest, and more. Attracting Roadrunner Records to their corner, the musicians decamped to StudioOWZ in Clarbeston, Wales with producer and engineer Adam "Nolly" Getgood [Periphery] during early 2025.

MALEVOLENCE ANNOUNCE CO-HEADLINE SPRING TOUR WITH GUILT TRIP

This spring, UK heavyweights MALEVOLENCE and GUILT TRIP are crossing the Atlantic to co-headline the 2026 'United Kingdom Metal and Hardcore Across North America 2026' tour. The journey begins March 31st in Detroit and spans 17 dates, including stops in Nashville, Houston, and two exclusive Canadian shows. The tour concludes in Milwaukee on April 23rd, with CHAMBER set to provide support for the entire run.

MALEVOLENCE comment, “Where to begin! Our first ever proper US headline tour after all these years and it is only right to be sharing the stage every night with some of our closest friends in the game GUILT TRIP from Manchester. With both bands proudly flying the flag not only for UK metal & hardcore but also more specifically the NORTH OF ENGLAND.

Our relationship with GT is very well documented - from numerous tours together, collaborating on music & even helping to release their last record, it feels extremely fitting to be venturing onto foreign shores side by side for a big, bad co-headline debut - In our opinion a true demonstration to the American people of what real northern UK heavy music has to offer. We strongly advise you don’t miss this shit.

"We’re so excited to return to the states with our good friends in Malevolence," states GUILT TRIP vocalist Jay Valentine. "it feels great to come back so soon and share a headlining slot with our UK brothers. After just one run, North America already feels like a second home to us and we can’t wait to see you all again!"

General admission tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, February 8th at 10 AM local time.at mlvltd.com & Guilttripmhc.com.

ABOUT MALEVOLENCE

MALEVOLENCE have never waited for permission. From the underground to festival main stages, they’ve built their reputation on sheer force of will, crushing live shows, and an unshakable foundation of heavy riffs and harder work. Now, with their fourth studio album Where Only The Truth Is Spoken, Sheffield’s finest step into a new league.

Recorded in California at Dave Grohl’s legendary Studio 606, the album was tracked through the iconic Neve 8078 console, the same desk that captured game-changing records like Nirvana’s Nevermind, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, and Tom Petty’s Wildflowers. For a band that’s always pushed forward without compromise, it was the perfect setting to carve out a record that represents everything MALEVOLENCE stands for. The album marks a new level of songwriting precision without sacrificing the band’s trademark weight. Working alongside Grammy Award-winning producer Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Gojira, Trivium), the result is MALEVOLENCE at their most punishing, urgent, and anthemic.

Lyrically, Where Only The Truth Is Spoken reflects the principles that MALEVOLENCE have lived by since day one—honesty, loyalty, and integrity. These are not just themes woven into the album but values the band holds in their personal and professional lives. This record doesn’t deal in facades or empty gestures; it’s an unfiltered expression of the struggles, victories, and unshakable brotherhood that have carried them this far.

Malevolence are:

Konan Hall | Guitar / Vocals
Josh Baines | Guitar
Wilkie Robinson | Bass

Guilt Trip Sign to Roadrunner + Share Video for New Single "Burn"

The band — Jay Valentine [vocals], Jak Maden [guitar], Sam Baker[guitar], Tom Aimson [drums], and Lily Kilcoyne [bass]— shares the video for "BURN," its debut single for the label. And it's quite a ripper than captures the riff-roaring essence of classic thrash with a thoroughly modern and stadium-sized edge.

Watch the video below

"We are thrilled to announce that Guilt Trip have signed to Roadrunner Records," the band states about the new partnership, which feels like home for both sides. "To celebrate, we present 'Burn,' our brand new single and first with the label. Roadrunner and its history forged Guilt Trip's sound as you know it, so this collaboration always felt inevitable. Thank you so much to the fans for the unwavering support throughout the years — this is only the beginning. Here's to the next chapter."

Maden offers a deeper insight into the song, saying, "Sonically, it's a metal song with hardcore influences sprinkled in. To us, it felt a little bit like old Machine Head. It's definitely an anthem. As soon as we finished it, I knew it needed a simple repeated line until the drop and 'wall of death' section. We won't even need to tell the crowd what to do."

Guilt Trip will spend the fall touring alongside Kublai Khan and will appear at Louder Than Life in Louisville on September 18 and at New England Metal and Hardcore Fest on September 20.
