Emerging L.A. Artist WELSH WOLF Releases New Single “When You Cry” From Forthcoming 2025 EP & Announces Nashville & London Dates In December

Thursday, November 14, 2024 – In a previous life, Welsh Wolf (born Paul Freeman) worked behind the scenes with the best of them: He played guitar on James Blunt’s giant hit “You’re Beautiful”; toured the world with The Who, Chris Cornell, Chris Isaac, Roger Daltry, and Brandi Carlisle; wrote a Top 40 hit for Sleeping With Sirens; and had his material covered by the likes of Meat Loaf and Robbie Williams.

Now, Welsh Wolf is ready to howl on his own, emerging as a promising act of his own accord and releasing singles that will culminate in a debut EP in early 2025. The first taste came with “Wreck,” released in late September that quickly racked up streams in its first week. Today, the L.A.-based talent is unleashing the next edition, “When You Cry,” another power anthem that calls to mind The Cult, The Killers, and Sam Fender and was also inspired by his early loves like The Cure, T-Rex, Dire Straits, Paul McCartney and Wings. Both songs were crafted after Freeman looked to start a new chapter and hunkered down in his studio for over a year to perfect his craft; each was produced and mixed by John Spiker (Filter, Beck, The Killers).

“It felt like I was allowing my true self to be seen,” Freeman explains. “Before it felt like there was a filter that I didn’t realize was even there.  But now, I was finally allowing myself to be myself.”

HEAR “When You CryHERE

Welsh Wolf will soon be taking the material out on the road, with shows planned in Nashville and London in December with more to be announced soon. Dates include:

November 27 Nashville, TN @ The Bowery Vault (ticket info)

December 12 East London, UK @ TBD

December 21 Nashville, TN @ Bluebird Café

Growing up in South Wales, Welsh Wolf was destined to be involved with music. At 10-years-old, he serendipitously found his first guitar sitting on a dumpster, picked it up, dusted it off and taught himself how to play his favorite songs, like “Band on the Run” (the only thing that would put him to sleep, according to his mother).

Freeman was a quick learner, and in due time, the budding artist moved to London, started a band called Boedekka and was signed to Boy George’s label. A few years later, Los Angeles was calling and, through a series of events, Freeman was linked up with Clive Davis who liked what he heard and set him on the path to success, not only touring with a who’s who of rock and pop but also finding his music landing in films including The Break-Up, as well as hit TV shows Jessica Jones and Insatiable.

Welsh Wolf is the latest chapter in the musician’s illustrious career, emerging under a new moon for a new time. Stay tuned …

ABOUT MINISTRY

Born in 1981 in Chicago, Ministry has been the lifetime passion project of founder Al Jourgensen, considered to be the pioneer of industrial music. In its early days, Ministry was identifiable by its heavy synth-pop material in line with the new sounds and technology that were being developed in the ‘80s. Ministry’s output began with four 12” singles on Wax Trax! Records in 1981 before the first LP With Sympathy in 1983 via Arista Records. As time progressed however, so did Ministry, quickly developing a harsher, and more stylized sound that the band soon became infamous for on seminal albums Twitch (1986), The Land of Rape and Honey (1988), and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste (1989). With the release of Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs (1992), Ministry hit an all-time high in the mainstream musical realm and received its first Grammy nomination. In total, Ministry has been nominated for a Grammy award six times. Eight more albums would follow before an indefinite break in 2013, only to be unearthed again in 2018 with AmeriKKKant, continuing to reflect Jourgensen’s views on the frightening state of society and politics. The 2021 album Moral Hygiene marked a new creative era of Jourgensen and the band. Ministry’s 16th studio album, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES, will be released in early 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Ministry Announces 16th Album “HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES” Coming March 1, 2024

As the world continues hanging on by a thread through pandemics, wildfires, climate change, social-political chaos and social media-fueled conspiracy theories, at least there’s Ministry to get us through. Industrial provocateur Al Jourgensen is ready to unleash his latest missives with Ministry’s groundbreaking 16th album, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES, slated for release March 1, 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Today, the six-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated multiplatinum act gives the first taste of the new material with the official release of “Goddamn White Trash,” featuring Pepper Keenan, a song that made its debut on Ministry’s headline tour earlier this year.

See the video for “Goddamn White Trash,” directed by Dean Karr, below.

Over the course of 9 tracks, Jourgensen is righteously cantankerous as ever about a f***ed up world ripe for a boot up its ass. Like always, he's merely looking around at the same dumpster fire we all are, but he's got a microphone and uses it well to rage on about the state of the world.

“Just like you or anybody else, I’m simply a passenger in this lifetime,” says Jourgensen. “I’m watching social changes, political changes, and economic changes, and I comment on them because I do have a First Amendment right. A lot of people say artists and athletes should shut up and play ball. No, I’m on this trip too. If I see something, I say something. That reflects on where each album goes. Instead of staying sedentary and singing about broken relationships, inner turmoil, or whatever is hurting this week, I comment on what’s going on from the perspective of a fellow passenger.”

Joined by Ministry’s current frontline of musicians – John Bechdel (keyboards), Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto (guitars), Roy Mayorga (drums) and Paul D’Amour (bass) – HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES also has a slew of special guest contributors including Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hutz, long-time collaborator and Lard companion Jello Biafra and Corrosion of Conformity frontman Pepper Keenan.

HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES will be available in three vinyl variants, a CD jewelcase and digital/streaming platforms. The vinyl variants include:green with yellow splatter (in stores everywhere); blue with pink splatter (nuclear blast exclusive); red with white splatter (band/tour exclusive).

3TEETH Return With “Merchant Of The Void,” First In Series of Monthly Singles Leading Up to Industrial Act’s Full Album Rele

Modern industrial act 3TEETH have re-entered the conversation of our tortured reality with “Merchant Of The Void.” Released today, the band’s brand-new single is the first in a series of monthly teases leading up to their anticipated new album coming soon via Century Media Records.

As A.I. takes over, banks collapse, climates further spiral out of control and humans grapple with an existential living nightmare, 3TEETH is laying it out straight with a brutal new outlook on track “Merchant Of The Void,” revealing their first salvo into a new era of sonic exploration.

The track comes alongside a stunning graphic video from one of Hollywood’s leading animators Matteo Santoro (who grew up with 3TEETH frontman Alexis Mincolla) producing a visually epic piece that takes viewers on a space-folding journey into hyper-consumerism on a Lovecraftian scale.

Pre-save “Merchant Of The Void” here: https://3teeth.lnk.to/MerchantOfTheVoid-Single

The gut-punch song pairs the band’s trademark gritty electro-industrial metal alchemy with ruminations on the self-destructive path humanity has been treading on, as described by frontman and creative lead Alexis Mincolla :

”Amidst the numbing pulse of hypermodernity, the insatiable appetite of data commodification devours our sense of meaning. The undead march of materialism eventually renders the human subject an automaton, desperately grasping for the ephemeral junk 2.0 to fill the abyss of existential emptiness. The self devolves into a mere echo, a ghostly specter caught in the whirlwind of techno-capital acceleration, the very essence of its being devoured by the machinery of its own weaponized desires. If the future eludes your vision, fear not, The Merchant of The Void is standing by and eager to sell it to you. Welcome to the cold descent into the black hole of total absolute commodification.  In the words of William S. Burrough 'The junk merchant doesn't sell his product to the consumer, he sells the consumer to his product. He does not improve and simplify his merchandise. He degrades and simplifies the client.”

“Merchant of The Void” follows previously released track “Paralyze” (featuring Ho99o9), both of which hail from 3TEETH’s much-anticipated fourth album, forthcoming via Century Media Records (more details to be announced soon).

To lay the foundation for the new material, 3TEETH migrated to the deserted quiet of Joshua Tree, escaping from the palpable anxiety of their hometown of Los Angeles for fresh new perspective. The material is currently being wrapped up with a solid extended team including the accomplished sound designer Mick Gordon(best known for his work on the gaming phenomenon DOOM) who produced several of the tracks along with producer Nick Rowe and mixer Sean Beavan (NIN), bringing in another dimension to the band’s unmistakable sound.

Says Gordon, “3TEETH are one of my favorite acts. They proudly fly their own unique flag. The new album charts course through the next stage of our vanity-led evolution as a species, and by that I mean the album is a world unto itself. I’m just stoked that these guys have allowed me along for the ride.”

ABOUT 3TEETH

3TEETH first manifested their cybersocial intentions as early as 2013: a musical entity born out of Mincolla’s Downtown L.A. weekly gatherings known as “Lil’ Death” With Xavier Swafford (keys, synth), Chase Brawner (guitars) and Andrew Means (bass, synth) joining Mincolla. 3TEETH released their first self-titled album the following year. Alliances with the likes of TOOL and Rammstein resulted in the collective’s first live performances and a rise to further notoriety with the release of 2017’s album shutdown.exe. which took 3TEETH to global stages. Working alongside producer and mixer Sean Beavan (NIN) at new label home, Century Media, 3TEETH upped their own sonic arms race with Metawar (2019) and entered a new echelon of cultural consciousness with a collection of tracks including the biting “President X” and their haunting take on Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks.”

"The modern carriers of the industrial rock torch" — Revolver

"State-of-the-art sensory overload with take-no-prisoners level of aggression" — Rolling Stone

“3TEETH bring the aggression with aplomb” — Loudwire

3TEETH is:

Chase Brawner – guitars

Xavier Swafford – keyboards and synthesizer

Frayle Now Set To Debut "Skin & Sorrow" September 23 Due To Production Delays

FRAYLE

Announces New Release Date Of September 23

For Upcoming Album Skin & Sorrow

Due To Unforeseen Production Issues

Flanked By Singles Including The Title Track And

"Treacle & Revenge," Frayle Will Release New Song In July

Pre-Sales For Skin & Sorrow Available Now HERE

Via Brooklyn Label Aqualamb Records

Each Album Comes With Accompanying 100-Page Art Book

Skin & Sorrow was fully written and recorded by Bilovecky and Strang from the third floor of their own studio, on the edge of Cleveland, surrounded by ancient lakes and woods that echo the howls of coyotes. The band is rounded out live by Jason Knotek on bass and Jon Vinson on drums.

The record follows Frayle’s groundbreaking debut 1692 in 2020 that further introduced the world to their penchant for creating “lullabies over chaos.” Tracks feature Strang’s ambient vocals laid over the voluminous instrumentals of Bilovecky (formerly of Disengage), morphing into disturbing harmonies best described as music for the night sky and are poised to dominate the doom circuit.

In addition to haunting original tracks that push heavy music into new dimensions (an inspirational mix of Sleep and Portishead, or Black Sabbath and Bjork), the duo is known for their cryptic covers including takes on Johnny Cash’s “Ring Of Fire” and Bauhaus’ “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.”

Their passioned creations have caught the attention of Revolver who named the band “one of the five artists you need to know in April” as seen HERE, who called their previously-released title track “eerie and ethereal for its first half, but slowly lets more crunchy fuzz into the fold that builds up to a detonating finish with gobs of spiritual atmosphere.”

Recently, Frayle signed to The Oracle Management, now part of the roster that also includes Cradle of Filth, DevilDriver, Jinjer, Wednesday 13 and more hard rock and metal acts all represented by co-owners of The Oracle Management Dez and Anahstasia Fafara. In one of the first orders of business, Fraylejoined on for Cradle of Filth’s “Existence Is Futile” Headlining Tour

LaMacchia offers another taste of his debut solo album today with the release of the latest single and music video for “Put You Down,” a moody confessional with new wave and post punk influences. Metal Injection is exclusively premiering the haunting video, filmed in a cryptic basement where surprises lurk in the shadows. See their take on it here: https://metalinjection.net/video/john-lamacchia-streams-downtrodden-new-single-put-you-down

The single is from Thunderheads, out now via Brooklyn imprint Aqualamb Records. The nine-track stunner is the latest works of the accomplished musician John LaMacchia, known for his work as the guitarist for Brooklyn hardcore/prog-metal group Candiria. On the new material, LaMacchia pushes the envelope further with a fresh experimental indie rock vibe, featuring layered sonic nuances and male-female vocal interplay that presents a dimensional new palette that is comparable to Massive Attack, Doves and Radiohead.

Previous singles from the album have included “Bled Out,” a deep dive through crunchy guitars and free-falling bass, entwined with the candy-sweet vocals blend of LaMacchia and Sabrina Ellie, as well as “Angels Delight,” one of the darker orchestrations on the album, featuring the lush vocals of Candice Freshko and full of pulsating electronics and evocative guitar that show off the versatile talent of LaMacchia.

Composed and recorded over the course of 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic break, Thunderheads plays like a lullaby for the apocalypse. With healthy doses of self-respect and emotional bravery that serve as a salve for our pandemic-weary heart, it allows listeners to escape a world that is falling apart with music and creativity.

In addition to John LaMacchia, who has recorded all of the guitars, vocals, keyboards and programming for Thunderheads, additional guest contributions come courtesy of Kellii Scott (Failure) on drums, Michael MacIvor (Candiria) on bass guitar, Mario Quintero (Spotlights) on keyboards and Andrea Horne (Vaureen), Candice Freshko and Sabrina Ellie on vocals.

LaMacchia will play the new material live this summer with new tour dates announced, including this week at Brooklyn’s hallowed Saint Vitus.

June 23 @ Saint Vitus (Brooklyn, NY)
August 5 @ Mr Beery’s (Bethpage, NY)
August 6 @ Ortlieb’s (Philadelphia, PA)

August 7 @ Lucky 13 (Brooklyn, NY)

Thunderheads is now available at Aqualamb Records’ website with blue and pink vinyl variants, CD and digital options. Each purchase comes with an accompanying 100-page book filled with lush artwork, drawings, lyrics and additional content to get inside the mind of LaMacchia and the creative process.

About LaMacchia
LaMacchia is the new project led by musician and artist John LaMacchia of Brooklyn prog-metal’s legendary Candiria. The result is what we wish post-aughts music would have sounded like; layered with new-wave moodiness, and akin to Autolux, Massive Attack, Doves and Liars, to name a few. And with the musicians he sought out to fulfill that burden, including Kellii Scott on drums (Failure), Michael MacIvor on bass (Candiria), Mario Quintero (Spotlights) and vocalists Sabrina Ellie, Candice Freshko and Andrea Horne (Vaureen).

Frayle Named One Of Revolver’s

Artists You Need To Know In April

Ritual doom metal act Frayle are pleased to announced they have aligned forces with The Oracle Management, and are now part of the roster that also includes Cradle of Filth, DevilDriver, Jinjer, Wednesday 13 and more hard rock and metal acts all represented by co-owners of The Oracle Management Dez and Anahstasia Fafara.

The signing comes as Frayle gets ready to release a new album Skin & Sorrow July 8 via Aqualamb Records.

Says Dez Fafara of signing the band, “Frayle is one of the best bands I’ve heard in a very long time and the exact type of music that I seek out to personally listen to! The visuals behind the band, along with the musicianship and Gwyn fronting, makes Frayle a band that is a must-see live. Revolver was correct in naming them a ‘hot band to watch!’ We at The Oracle mgmt look forward to guiding the career and watching them succeed. Please catch them live as special guests of Cradle of Filth, dates below! Special thank you goes to Jeremy Saffer for introducing us to the band and their music. For dark hearts everywhere I present Frayle!”

In one of the first orders of business, Frayle has joined on for the upcoming Cradle of Filth “Existence Is Futile” Headlining Tour, on the off dates from COF’s trek with Danzig. The tour begins May 12 and hits 17 cities across North America – full details are below.

Says Frayle, “Music is magick. We look forward to conjuring the Heavy Witch Doom as we share the stage with the legendary Cradle of Filth.”

And Dani Filth adds, “We are extremely excited for Frayle to be sharing our headline dates across the U.S. and Canada as we very much enjoy introducing bands with a flair for the beauteous, the unusual and the downright heavy. And Frayle ticks all these boxes with massive aplomb! Joining them will be Chicago’s rabid thrash metal outfit Misfire, making for an awesomely eclectic touring party! See you there!”

Recently Frayle released the single and music video for “Skin & Sorrow,” the title track from their upcoming anticipated release. Directed by Frayle and premiered by Revolver, the video is set in a barren field below a dead gray sky as frontwoman Gwyn Strang dons her best Puritanical ensemble while casting a number of spells, not the least of which is on the viewer entranced by her hypnotic mystique.

“Skin & Sorrow” follows Frayle’s groundbreaking debut 1692 in 2020 that further introduced the world to their penchant for creating “lullabies over chaos.” Tracks feature Strang’s ethereal vocals laid over the voluminous instrumentals of Sean Bilovecky (formerly of Disengage), morphing into disturbing harmonies best described as music for the night sky.

Revolver who also named the band “one of the five artists you need to know in April” as seen HERE, calls the song an “awesomely haunting and dirgy title-track” and one that “is eerie and ethereal for its first half, but slowly lets more crunchy fuzz into the fold that builds up to a detonating finish with gobs of spiritual atmosphere.”

In addition to haunting original tracks that push heavy music into new dimensions (an inspirational mix of Sleep and Portishead, or Black Sabbath and Bjork), the Cleveland duo is known for their cryptic covers including takes on Johnny Cash’s “Ring Of Fire” and Bauhaus’ “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.”

Frayle will offer the first tastes of the new music on their upcoming tour with Cradle of Filth. The full run of shows this spring is as follows:

First-Ever Solo Effort From John LaMacchia,

Known For His Work In Candiria

Michael MacIvor (Candiria), Mario Quintero (Spotlights) &

Andrea Horne (Vaureen)

Pre-Sales Available Now For Vinyl, CD, Digital HERE

Each Album Comes With Accompanying 100-Page Art Book

Says LaMacchia, “Writing ‘Angels Delight’ with Candice Freshko was one of the greatest collaborative efforts I have ever been a part of. It was truly one of the most inspiring creative experiences I’ve ever had. It is the centerpiece of the album for a reason. Making the video for ‘Angels Delight’ was easy for me. All I had to do was capture Candice in her element. After shooting with her and watching the footage, I knew the focus of the video was going to be her breathtaking, and captivating performance.”

Adds Freshko, “Creating and making ‘Angels Delight’ with John was unexplainable. The energy, love and inspiration that was fulfilled helped me release demons that started to fester. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.”

Though he’s arguably best known as the guitarist for Brooklyn hardcore/prog-metal group Candiria, LaMacchia’s new solo material is unlike anything the multi-instrumentalist has done to date and shows a new breadth to his abilities.

In total, Thunderheads presents a far-reaching experimental indie rock vibe, with layered sonic nuances and male-female vocal interplay that presents a dimensional new palette that is comparable to Massive Attack, Doves and Radiohead.

Says Kellii Scott, “At the time when John submitted songs to me to play on, I was completely unfamiliar with his history and pedigree as a musician. That being said I did know that he had written some really great material, with great melody and arrangements and that I was going to have a fantastic time playing on his songs. In particular I found ‘Bled Out’ to be really inspiring to play, so much so that I channeled a drummer that I previously had never been.”

Presales for Thunderheads are available now at Aqualamb Records’ website with blue and pink vinyl variants, CD and digital options.

North America Tour Planned For Summer 2022

French synthwave icon Carpenter Brut has just released his brand new album Leather Terror today via Universal Records. Leather Terror is the second in Carpenter Brut’s Leather album trilogy, the next chapter following his widely acclaimed 2018 album Leather Teeth. That album featured in numerous Best Album lists across the board of rock, alternative and electronic music that year. Kerrang championed the mysterious French artist as one of the Best Live Bands On Earth whilst Carpenter Brut was also honoured as a performer at the Metal Hammer awards.

While Leather Teeth was in part a celebratory take on ‘80s glam rock, in his new opus, Carpenter Brut – across the space of twelve tracks – gets more malevolent, documenting the rise of his protagonist as a serial killer who wants to take revenge on all those who mistreated him when he was younger.

Leather Terror reflects both a serial killer, and an artist, in their prime: Bold and daring while full of shock and awe, creating a true spectacle out of great darkness with a flamboyant disregard for rules.

The albums form the soundtrack of an imagined movie from 1987. The previous record introduced the story of Bret Halford, an introverted science student. He liked a girl who didn’t like him and much preferred the team’s star quarterback. Bret got mad and tried to create a concoction that would allow him to control them all, but ends up disfigured and decides instead to become a rock star. This is how he will seduce the girl, and all other girls: By becoming Leather Teeth, singer of Leather Patrol.

Regarding the album, Carpenter Brut has said, "After spending much of 2018 touring, I had decided to take a long break to compose the new album of the trilogy. The pandemic confirmed that my choice to stay home was the right one. I ended up taking over a year and a half to compose this album. I made a lot of decisions with the time I had that I wouldn't have had time to make if the pandemic hadn't happened. I wanted to make the whole thing as massive as possible. There is no guitar on this album. I did everything with synths. Even though I didn't know exactly how I wanted the album to sound at first, I knew I wanted it to be massive and violent.”

Leather Terror is flanked by two lead singles, the colossal synthrock anthem “Imaginary Fire” featuring vocalist Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Killer Be Killed, The Black Queen) as well as “The Widow Maker,” featuring Alex Westaway of Gunship on the pummelling synth pop track.

See the video for “Imaginary Fire” directed by Dehn Sora below.

Here’s what the media has been saying about Leather Terror:

Leather Terror is an album of pure, devilish joy from an artist who completely understands what they're doing … Metal and synthwave gloriously clash throughout, and it's brilliant.” —Kerrang

“If the majority of Leather Terror doesn’t just make you want to get up and dance to all of its sublimely banging, schlocky glory then there’s a very good chance that Carpenter Brut’s fictional killer got to you in one of his earlier installments.” —Metal Hammer

“Carpenter Brut is back to get you dancing! Leather Terror is all the driving, quasi-industrial, synth stuff you've come to expect and love. This time you're getting a diverse roster of guest spots from Greg Puciato (Dillinger Escape Plan), Ulver, Sylvaine, and more.” —Metal Injection

“Despite the lack of guitars, Leather Terror is often just as vicious as anything from the world of metal as drums pound relentlessly, vocals range from the ethereal to the demonic, and looming keyboards slice and dice with ruthless efficiency through the album’s more aggressive cuts. In movie trilogies, the second entry can often prove to be the weakest but this isn’t the case here as the sequel expands and even improves on the superb original. Roll on the final part.” —Ghost Cult

Carpenter Brut will also be returning to North America this summer with a series of 13 tour dates announced for the U.S. and Canada, kicking off August 18 in Los Angeles and running through September 3 in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Music Community "Come Together" For Ukraine - Members Of Rammstein, Faith No More, Stabbing Westward, With Proceeds Given To UNICEF

Presented By COP International Records,

Alternative Music Community Rallies Together To Aid Ukraine

Releasing A Cover Of The Beatles “Come Together”

To Send Message Of Unity And Hope To People Around The World

All Proceeds Donated To UNICEF

Supergroup of Talent – Called Lifeline International – Includes Members Of

Rammstein, Faith No More, Stabbing Westward,

The Hardkiss (From Ukraine), Gravity Kills and Lisa K

Music label COP International Records is pleased to announce the release of “Come Together (We Will Stop You),” a new single by the supergroup Lifeline International that features an all-star lineup of alternative rock musicians.

Created as a “mission of humanity” to help the millions of people who are suffering in Ukraine and beyond, this modern spin on The Beatles’ classic “Come Together” is the brainchild of COP International Records founder Christian Petke and the legendary music producer John Fryer. The single is now available for purchase on COP International’s Bandcamp page, and will soon be followed by other major digital music services, with 100% of the proceeds will donated to UNICEF.

“This song is a simple and direct message to the millions of people who are currently suffering in Ukraine and beyond,” said Petke. “You are not alone. We see you.”

Added Fryer, “I’m shocked, stunned, dismayed, angry, horrified and saddened by the situation in Ukraine. I don’t how one man’s insane ego can cause this much death and destruction.”

Petke and Fryer, both of whom were born in Europe, were inspired by the multi-faceted and forward-thinking work that Bob Geldof once did to raise money for the African famine in the mid-80’s.

“The success of songs like ‘We Are the World’ and ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’ directly spawned the Live Aid concerts, which raised millions of dollars for those who desperately needed it,” explained Petke. “So, while we are obviously excited about this new song’s immediate ability to raise awareness and money, we’d like to think that ‘Come Together’ is only the first step of many. The simple act of supporting one song can help spread a message of hope and compassion around the entire world.”

John Fryer, who has worked with such seminal musical artists as Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward, This Mortal Coil, and Cocteau Twins, was in charge of the music end of the project. After sketching out the track with Stephen Lam of Deathline International, Fryer enlisted friends Geno Lenardo(ex-Filter), Rod Såez Chåvez and Marija Buljeta to help him coordinate an all-star cast of musicians from bands such as Faith No More, Stabbing Westward, Rammstein, The Hardkiss (from Ukraine), Revolting Cocks, Filter, Pigface, The Joy Thieves, Agnostic Front, Basement Jaxx, Gravity Kills, The Cassandra Complex, Mesh, blackcarburning, Deathline International, Vaselyne and Black Needle Noise.

The idea of recording a song for this purpose immediately resonated strongly with many of the musicians who were asked to participate. Vocalist Chris Connelly (solo artist/Ministry/Pigface/The Joy Thieves) wanted to be a part of “Come Together” so badly that he recorded and sent his vocals for the song within 24 hours of receiving the instrumental track, despite fighting COVID-19 at the time. “The establishment has failed the people and acted like a spoiled child with a box of matches and a Slurpee cup full of gasoline,” said Connelly. “We musicians will do what we do best, COME TOGETHER and play LOUD! We will carry the torch. Not because it's ‘trendy,’ or we are ‘draft-dodging longhairs,’ but because it is the right thing, and it is what we HAVE!”

Jeff Scheel from Gravity Kills added, “As an American, and a citizen of the world, I initially felt like I didn’t have the means to make a difference all by myself. But contributing to this project feels like a way that I can truly help the people around the world who are suffering.”

The full list of contributors on “Come Together (We Will Stop You)” is as follows:

About COP International

The year 2022 will be an exciting one for COP International, coming off their 30th anniversary in 2021 and with ambitious plans for its expanding roster of artists, already including Stabbing Westward and Azam Ali, as well as Blackcarburning, Black Needle Noise, Chiasm, Deathline International, GW Childs IV, Junksista, Johnny Tupolev, Rohn-Lederman, Vaselyne, Sick Jokes and Suicide Queen. The label reached a turning point in 2020, teaming up with legendary producer John Fryer to form a production company under the COP International umbrella. Fryer is producing and engineering the majority of the forthcoming COP catalog and also working as A&R in helping to select appropriate acts. “The level of craftsmanship, artistic talent and meticulous attention to detail is what sets John’s work a world apart,” says COP International founder Christian Petke. "When we first started talking, I brought up John’s relationship with 4AD where he was the principal engineer and producer. This is exactly what we have in mind for this collaboration. Our philosophy is quite simple: Find exceptional talent, don’t limit ourselves or the artists, and build momentum based on the excellence of the releases. We have signed a couple bands that have major chart potential based on previous entries, and we are very excited about our projects for this year.Another thing that is rather important to us is the level of closeness and mutual appreciation we have between the label and the artists. COP provides a nurturing environment that allows them to focus on their craft. We support and shield them and provide the business machinery that will develop their full potential. Both John and I are artists as well and that helps tremendously to build a bridge between the world of pure art and commerce without sacrificing the individual vision"

North America Tour Planned For Summer 2022

French synthwave icon Carpenter Brut has released his brand new single “The Widow Maker,” which features Alex Westaway of Gunship who lends his voice on the pummelling synth pop track. It’s the latest song to be taken from Carpenter Brut’s forthcoming album Leather Terror, out April 1 via Universal Music. The album is available to pre-order now HERE.

The dramatic video for “The Widow Maker” was directed by the Deka Brothers and stars actor Dylan Sprouse as Bret Halford aka Leather Teeth, the protagonist of Carpenter Brut’s album and singer of Leather Patrol.

Leather Teeth is a true rock star and a ruthless avenger, who inflicts vengeance on those who stand between him and what he desires. Bret flicks through the yearbook, and overcome by hallucinatory delirium, he fantasizes about getting his revenge on Kendra, the cheerleader he was madly in love with at high school, and the jocks she preferred. His desire for revenge ends up turning against him and he becomes haunted by the corpses of those he wishes to send to an early grave.

Speaking about the video collaboration, Dylan Sprouse says, “I sent Carpenter Brut a comic I made with a note that read, ‘As I've written the entirety of this comic series with your music on repeat, I felt it only natural to send you this. I owe it to you.’ That was the first time we communicated and I believe we found ourselves to have some shred of creative kinship in our different mediums since then.”

Sprouse adds, “Over a year of us chatting back and forth about finding an opportunity to collaborate on something together, he hit me with the idea to portray Bret Halford in a video of his with the Deka Brothers as directors. We chatted character, background, content and I was all in immediately. Especially because it gave me the opportunity to take out some aggression with an oversized buck knife and some confetti cannons after a few short days of filming, a lot of running, a lot of stabbing, a lot of spiked studs, platform boots and a sprained ankle during a ‘bad drug trip’ scene. I hope you all get as pumped up watching this as I was filming it. Long Live Bret Halford.”

Regarding the single, Carpenter Brut says, “While talking with a musician friend of mine, he said, ‘This song, it makes you want big guitars like Rammstein.’ Inwardly, I ruled out the guitar option, but for the vocals, his idea worked for me and I thought it would be cool to have a big industrial voice on this track, like Till Lindemann for example, but in the end I asked Alex Westaway (from Gunship) to sing on it. It's nothing like Lindemann vocally, but I love Alex’s androgynous register a la Brian Molko and what he did with the song.

“There was this interesting ambivalence, even paradoxical between the martial side of the music and Alex's voice, which is quite pop, which makes this track both industrial and synth pop. As usual with the singers I work with, I gave Alex a word or two, a theme, and then he came up with his own lyrics. I really like this song, because for me it's Carpenter Brut with a mainstream feel.”

“The Widow Maker” follows the release of Leather Terror’s lead single and colossal synthrock anthem “Imaginary Fire” earlier this year, which features guest vocals from Greg Puciato of The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Carpenter Brut will also be returning to North America this summer with a series of 13 tour dates announced for the U.S. and Canada, kicking off August 18 in Los Angeles and running through September 3 in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Fans Encouraged To Sign Up For E-mail Reminders

It’s been 20 years since the last full-length Stabbing Westward album came out in 2001, and the wait is finally over as the band today announces details for their much-anticipated new record. Chasing Ghosts will be out March 18, 2022 via COP International Records, featuring 10 tracks that have the industrial rock band’s characteristic sound with a modern sheen that picks up right where they left off.

In celebration of the news, Stabbing Westward gives a taste of the upcoming material by sharing single “I Am Nothing” alongside a new lyric video.

A number of limited-edition physical copies for “I Am Nothing” are available for sale here: https://stabbingwestward.bandcamp.com/album/i-am-nothing

Chasing Ghosts will feature brand-new songs as well as re-workings of the band’s acclaimed 2020 reunion EP Dead And Gone that finds original founding members Christopher Hall (vocals/guitar) and Walter Flakus (keyboards/programming) honing in on the incredible partnership that once produced a string of hits that dominated alternative radio and film soundtracks, including “Shame,” “Save Yourself” and “What Do I Have to Do?” – and resulted in two Gold records.

To recreate that original chemistry, the band recruited the legendary producer John Fryer to again helm Chasing Ghosts. Fryer, whose production credits include Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, 4AD, Cocteau Twins and Love and Rockets, originally worked with Stabbing Westward on their best-selling early releases Ungod (1994) and Wither Blister Burn + Peel (1996). Chasing Ghosts was also mastered by Tom Baker who, like Fryer, worked with Stabbing Westward on their early releases and is part of the reassembled production team on the latest album. The current Stabbing Westward band lineup includes Carlton Bost (guitars and programming) and Bobby Amaro (drums).

Says Walter Flakus, “It seems like we’ve been working on this album for a long time, trying to get it just right. With the help of John Fryer and COP International, everything fell into place. We are so excited for the world to finally hear the album. The single ‘I Am Nothing’ is just the tip of the iceberg.”

Adds Christopher Hall: “It's great to be back, and working with John Fryer and Tom Baker again was awesome and felt like making a pure old-school Stabbing Westward album. I am excited to see how people will receive the new songs."

Presales for Chasing Ghosts will begin in early January and fans are encouraged to sign up now for e-mail reminders HERE.

The album, featuring artwork by David Seidman (an artist who has also worked with Coheed And Cambria and is known for his ethereal and surrealistic imagery) will be available in digital, CD and vinyl formats, with full details and exclusive, limited-edition merch to be announced soon.

In addition to recently being covered in Loudwire, Consequence Of Sound, Revolver, SPIN, Bloody Disgusting and other top media outlets, Stabbing Westward has been receiving rave reviews for their latest material:

The Dead and Gone EP ultimately proves how memorable Stabbing Westward’s industrial rock can be, and it serves as a teaser for a looming full-length album that many are anticipating… they sound just as passionate and exciting as ever.” —Blabbermouth

For both casual listeners and ardent fans of the group, the fire is raging inside Stabbing Westward as the collective enjoys this new chapter in its history.

About Stabbing Westward

Blending the scathing electronics of underground industrial/rock with the emotive melodies of goth and a decidedly radio-friendly sensibility, Stabbing Westward rose to great heights in the mid-‘90s alternative boom. Formed in 1986 by Walter Flakus and Christopher Hall, the band went from underground cult sensation to the heights of critical and commercial success thanks to such songs as “Shame,” “Save Yourself,” “So Far Away” and “What Do I Have to Do?”. To this day, these songs remain anthems of heartache, dejection, rage, betrayal and depression. With two Gold albums and numerous hit singles, Stabbing Westward fell from grace with the 2001 self-titled album amid personal and professional turmoil, disbanding the following year and leaving a void in modern music that was somewhat filled by Hall’s later work in The Dreaming. However, it was the release of that band’s Rise Again in 2015 that the seeds were sown for a reunion. That album saw Flakus once again making music with Hall, with Stabbing Westward guitarist Mark Eliopulos joining The Dreaming onstage in Chicago for a set of past hits. In 2019, Hall and Flakus came together again to release the Dead And Gone EP, the first new Stabbing Westward material in 18 years. Written and produced by Flakus and Hall over the course of three years, and recorded in multiple states and time zones, these new songs capture the very essence of the Stabbing Westward sound. Adding longtime bandmate Carlton Bost (Orgy, Deadsy, The Dreaming) and new drummer Bobby Amaro (Orgy) to the official lineup, the band has also once again recruited the talent of producer John Fryer—instrumental on early albums “Ungod” and “Wither Blister Burn + Peel”—for a new album, Chasing Ghosts to be released in early 2022 through a new partnership with COP International.

“Duality” (Slipknot Cover With Terry Corso From Alien Ant Farm), With More Works To Be Released Soon

Today, We Are PIGS in collaboration with Brian “Head” Welch and JR Bareis (KORN, Love And Death) release the bold new animated video for the track “Kids” via Metal Hammer. Featuring each artist in caricature, the video – like the song – aims to bring attention to the challenges faced by today’s young generation and lets them know they are not alone.

See the powerful video (animated by Dave the Creator) here: https://youtu.be/XbD0O7TR1ns

While it can be challenging growing up in current times, We Are PIGS, Brian “Head” Welch and JR Bareis want kids to know that there is always hope. As Welch told Metal Hammer about the new art piece, “For youth today, the world can be a particularly dark place, filled with many temptations. But there is always help available if one reaches for it, as the red balloon symbolizes in the video.”

The song was produced, engineered, co-written and co-sung by Esjay Jones, the mastermind behind We Are Pigs, and was originally inspired by the HBO show “Euphoria” and its raw portrayal of sex, drugs, identity, social media and the difficulties of navigating life as a teenager. Similar to the show, Jones, Welch and Bareis wanted the music video to be uncomfortable and thought provoking.

As Jones has said, “I spoke to Brian about the concept – initially thinking the message was, the ‘kids AREN’T alright,’ but as we started working together, we wanted to spread positivity, hope and purpose to youth with our words, and ‘kids are alright’ became the mantra.”

To further that message, part of the proceeds from the sale of “Kids” will be donated to organizations We Are Moving The Needle and The Whosoevers Movement aimed at uplifting, empowering and providing education and purpose for today’s youth. Find the track here: https://onerpm.link/kids

Says The Whosoevers Movement, “Our generation today faces many more distractions and problems than ever before. Drug abuse, depression, broken families, self-harm and suicide are just a few of the issues they have to overcome.” We Are PIGS hopes to provide a beacon of light with “Kids” and encourages fans to check out and support these organizations as well.

We Are PIGS is Esjay Jones’ alt metal hybrid project characterized with a pig-masked front woman that combines brutal riffs, brazen screams and ethereal melodies with strong lyrical messages. After debuting with a cover of Slipknot’s “Duality” (featuring Alien Ant Farm’s Terry Corso) in 2020, followed by original single “Pulse Queen” in early 2021, We Are PIGS has found an incredible following and support through playlist placements on Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music.

Recent releases have included “MOOT” featuring KITTIE’s Morgan Lander and “Blood Diamond,” a collaboration with M.O.B. In addition, Jones has worked behind the scenes as a sought-after producer for acts including Grey Daze (Chester Bennington) and a soon-to-be-released collaboration with Billy Corgan.

About We Are PIGS/Esjay Jones

We Are PIGS is the alt metal hybrid with brutal riffs, brazen screams and ethereal melodies created by South African born producer / songwriter / artist Esjay Jones. In the summer of 2020, We Are PIGS made its debut with a cover of Slipknot’s “Duality” and the first original single “Pulse Queen” followed at the tail end of the year that has boasted 15 additions to editorial playlists between Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music. Esjay Jones has been highlighted recently by the Recording Academy as well as recognized for solely producing the much-anticipated second LP for Grey Daze (Chester Bennington’s first band), matching his vocals with collaborations from Dave Navarro, Richard Patrick (Filter) and Bennington’s 9-year-old twin daughters, Lila and Lilly. Esjay has also worked with Sean Kingston, Jeffree Star, Olivia Holt, Escape The Fate, Mystery Skulls with Nile Rodgers and Brandy, Chester Rushing (Stranger Things), Alien Ant Farm, and many others. Esjay has had over a decade of success in the music industry: during the first part, she cemented herself as one of South Africa’s top rock vocalists fronting Durban-based band Stealing Love Jones. The band achieved mainstream success with four #1 Singles, as well as sharing the stage with major international acts like One Republic, Fall Out Boy, Violent Femmes, Seether, Jimmy Eat World, and many more.

Individual Events Will Be Announced

May 21 At 10 AM CT At www.ColdWaves.net

Like many shows and festivals that were sidelined by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, COLD WAVES announces its return this fall with an anticipated in-person event. The ninth edition of the beloved industrial music festival has been rebuilt with many of last year’s scheduled performers, and is set to take place September 24-26, 2021 at Chicago’s Clark Street compound, housing adjoining venues Metro, Smart Bar and G-Man Tavern.

The lineup includes Belgian giants Front 242 playing the fest for the third time; industrial/hip-hop trio CLIPPING. featuring Daveed Diggs (“Hamilton” and TNT’s “Snowpiercer”) making their fest debut; scene favorites Stabbing Westward returning with new music; the first show from audio-protest juggernauts Consolidated in 20-plus years; and the incendiary duo Youth Code.

Additional talent includes Dalek, Actors, Bootblacks, Barker+Connelly, Luxapan, Korine, Provoker, Odonis Odonis, Wingtips, Fee Lion, Pixel Grip, Paul Barker, Blixaboy, Void Vision, Acucrack, Zoltar, Bud Sweet, The Pirate Twins, Choke Chain, Morgue Vvitch and Philly Peroxide.

A small number of discounted “all event” weekend passes are on sale now at www.MetroChicago.com. Fans are encouraged to buy early as COLD WAVES weekend passes traditionally sell out. Single day GA tickets will go on sale Monday, May 24 at 10 am CT also at www.MetroChicago.com. As well, festival producers will announce all individual events on Friday, May 21 at 10 am CT at www.ColdWaves.net as well as official social media pages.

COLD WAVES Founder (and member of Acucrack) Jason Novak says, “After almost 10 years since Jamie’s passing, it’s amazing to me to see how much this event helps carry people, helps support and enrich them… something he was known for doing himself. Not just the charitable aspects, but the event being such a source of positivity for so many, it’s pretty great. We can’t wait to bring this year’s amazing lineup together and levitate the audience after such a dark year."

Paul Barker (Barker+Connelly, Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Lead Into Gold) adds, “Too many people I know have needed the kind of health services that COLD WAVESfundraises for. I feel fortunate to be involved as a performer, ambassador and friend, and look forward to every year’s festival.”

Chris Connelly (Barker+Connelly, Revolting Cocks, Sons of the Silent Age), also says, "COLD WAVES has become part of my musical DNA, the friendships, collaboration and the incredible sensory overload makes me always look to the future with the joy of a journey undertaken with likeminded souls. So proud to be a part of it each year.”

COLD WAVES will adhere to all state and city-wide regulations to allow a fully compliant event for attendees, and organizers will purposely limit the capacity of all venues for the duration of the weekend. As well, fully open doors, an outdoor sidelot with food trucks and seating space, plus access to the all-night Smart Bar “COLD WAVES Lounge” aims to provide patrons a safe, exciting and respectful event.

The Wax Trax! record label crew will also bring back a pop-up shop featuring hard-to-find and exclusive merchandise. Additional supporters include Electronic Saviors: Music to Cure Cancer, Resilience, Riveting Music, Schecter Guitars and Half Acre Brewing.

COLD WAVES has served the industrial/goth/darkwave/noise/metal community with the popular weekend festival since 2012. The forward-thinking, inclusive event goes beyond great music with a philanthropic mission to raise money and bring awareness to mental health, cancer research, and creating safe spaces in live music. Proceeds from the event will benefit the service industry mental health support group Darkest Before Dawn (www.db4d.org), a non-profit founded by Jason Novak, Kelly Britton and Dawn Szcymczak following the death of beloved Chicago musician and engineer Jamie Duffy whose untimely passing inspired the inaugural COLD WAVES weekend.

About COLD WAVES

On Friday September 7, 2012, a collection of musicians, peers, co-workers, friends and family gathered together to put on a memorial concert at Bottom Lounge in Chicago to celebrate the life of beloved local musician and sound-engineer Jamie Duffy, who passed away earlier that year. The memorial show was referred to as COLD WAVES: The Jamie Duffy Concert, in no small part due to the high number of “Cold Wave” artists who participated in it. Cold Wave is considered to be a sub-genre of industrial music and more specifically a melding of heavy, melodic rock and dark electronic dance music.

Since then, COLD WAVES has annually upped the ante, adding larger and more exciting (and rare) talent to the lineups, expanding to three nights and eventually other cities in a quest to celebrate the innovators and new talent in the dark music genres. Over the last few years the fest has proudly presented rare appearances from such luminaries as Front 242, Revolting Cocks, Filter, Nitzer Ebb, Godflesh, Meat Beat Manifesto, KMFDM, Stabbing Westward, Severed Heads, Clock DVA, Cold Cave, Pankow, The Black Queen, Fear Factory, Front Line Assembly, Pop Will Eat Itself, and many more, some bands appearing in the U.S. for the first time in 15-20 years.

COLD WAVES also focuses on raising money and awareness for the service industry and music venue staffing communities in their battles against addiction, depression and suicide. From bartenders and bouncers, to stagehands and engineers, this is a very high-risk demographic, often very under-insured and under-advocated. A portion of the COLD WAVES proceeds, including custom auctions and raffles go to Darkest Before Dawn, a local Chicago charity focused on exactly these issues, providing subsidized care and support for low-income members of that workforce. Alongside the DB4D charity, the festival invites other like-minded, socially relevant organizations to set up tables and materials throughout the weekend.

Produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, the performance promises to be an unforgettable set from the iconic band, highlighted by rare and sought-after deep cuts and classics from their legendary catalog. Tickets for this landmark global streaming event are on sale at www.KornLive.com at an early bird discount through Saturday, March 27th. Fans can also purchase bundles and V.I.P. experiences, including exclusive merchandise, limited-edition autographed posters, and a virtual meet & greet with the entire band, which will be available as a digital download. KORN vocalist Jonathan Davis remarked “We hope you take part in this experience with us. And though it is not the same as performing live with you here, we still want to bring you some great music and a fun show.”

Watch the official trailer for KORN: MONUMENTAL HERE.

Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents commented KORN’s global streaming event, “It’s always exciting to break new ground with a band like KORN that has been with us for so many of our biggest festival moments over the years. The scale of the vision for this global stream event is even more than we’ve come to expect out of a KORN show and will be one of the biggest livestream events from a rock band we’ve seen yet. If you’ve ever wanted to know what a massive rock concert coming to life in your living room might look like, this is it. So turn out the lights, turn up the volume and get ready to rock.”

Shocking rock music back to life like only KORN could, the band ascended to a new creative, commercial, and critical peak with their 2019 album, THE NOTHING. It marked their 14th Top 10 entry on the ‘Billboard 200’ and lifted them into rarified air giving them the fifth-most Top 10 debuts on the chart of any rock band. Lead by singles “You’ll Never Find Me,” “Can You Hear Me,” and “Cold,” REVOLVER crowned THE NOTHING “KORN’s best album in over 10 years,” while Metal Hammer affirmed the album “recaptures the genuine darkness of their earlier works” in a glowing 4.5-out-of-5 star review. “It continues KORN’s mission of probing the hidden corners and harsh realities of life within a shroud discordant darkness,” declared Noisey with The FADER adding, “KORN have never shied away from innovation... the icons have always looked forward.” Los Angeles Times applauded the “…deep and potent performances from the band, evoking their ever-present rage but also feelings of loss and isolation,” while NME affirmed, “This urgent and important record will ensure the veterans don’t get lost in the shuffle.” Once again, KORN redefine, revitalize, and reimagine the scope of rock music as perennial outliers and enduring iconoclasts.

ABOUT KORN:

The GRAMMY® Award-winning rock icons created a culture with their landmark self-titled full-length debut. Generations of fans turned the band into a household name with two GRAMMY® Awards, sales of 40 million albums worldwide, hundreds of sold out shows, and over 1 billion streams - unprecedented achievements for a band of any era. Vocalist Jonathan Davis, guitarists James “Munky” Shaffer and Brian “Head” Welch, bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, and drummer Ray Luzier, have continued to push the limits of the rock, alternative and metal genres, while remaining a pillar of influence for legions of fans and generations of artists around the globe. Dubbed “the soundtrack for a generation's arrival" by The FADER, the level of KORN’s reach transcends accolades and platinum certifications. They are “a genuine movement in a way bands cannot be now,” attests The Ringer. They represent a new archetype and radical innovation. Their ability to transcend genre makes barriers seem irrelevant as they endure as a raw and real force. Bringing everything full circle, the band’s 2019 album THE NOTHING remains a testament to their sustained impact. After all of these accolades, broken records, and changed lives, KORN are still and forever here to stay.

With the grit and tenacity that have exemplified their history to date, Flogging Molly is excited to announce their upcoming St. Patrick’s Day livestream performance. Taking place Wednesday, March 17 at the iconic Whelan’s Irish Pub in Dublin, Ireland, in partnership with Bushmills Irish Whiskey®, the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery, Flogging Molly will put on a St. Paddy’s Day party for the record books, bringing the good times, great whiskey, vivid stories, and music of the band – straight from Ireland – directly to fans around the world. Early bird tickets for the livestream are available now via FloggingMollyLive.com and will run through Friday, March 12 at midnight EST. Terms and conditions apply, learn more details on the Bushmills® “First Whiskey” Rebate Program HERE.

As we all know too well, lockdown has a way of making even the basics extremely complicated. Flogging Molly’s Dave King and Bridget Regan have been in Wexford, Ireland since lockdown was declared nearly one year ago, while the rest of the band have been in their homes across the U.S. And while there is nothing easy about crossing international borders for a full production live show at this moment in history – quarantine policies are ever-changing as the global response continues to evolve – it’s this reality that we all share, which is exactly why the band felt it needed to happen this St. Patrick’s Day. With the safety of the band, touring and film crew, and everyone on hand as top priority, the next priority was a good time – and a loud, raucous, and joyous celebration of all that we – the band and fans – have to be thankful for.

Says Dave King: “In any house, even in the darkest of times, there’s always a room, a room for celebration. In over twenty years together, this is our first ever show from the Emerald Isle on St. Patrick’s Day. Welcome to Ireland. Let’s celebrate! From our family to yours, Sláinte!”

Tickets will start at $15 per household, with unlimited streams available across 5 days (March 17-21). The live airing, pre-show and after-show acoustic performance will be directed by Dublin-based director Richie Smyth (Irish director of multiple U2 videos, feature films, Guinness commercial spots and more), and Flogging Molly have partnered with global event promoter Danny Wimmer Presents for the production. A portion of the band’s proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to a favorite charity of theirs, Sweet Relief’s COVID-19 Crew Fund, which supports road crew members grounded and out of work during the global pandemic.

Flogging Molly is comprised of Dave King (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, bodhran), Bridget Regan (violin, tin whistle, vocals), Dennis Casey (guitar, vocals), Matt Hensley (accordion, concertina, vocals), Nathen Maxwell (bass guitar, vocals), Spencer Swain (mandolin, banjo, guitar, vocals), and Mike Alonso (drums, percussion). Starting out as the house band for Molly Malone’s in Los Angeles and building a loyal following through endless touring, Flogging Molly has become a staple in the punk scene over the past 20 years, kicking off with its raucous debut showcase, Swagger, and continuing through it’s five additional studio albums. With numerous late-night television appearances under their belt, its sell-out Salty Dog Cruise through the Caribbean, and yearly St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Los Angeles, the band is currently working on the Rise Records follow-up to its latest LP, Life Is Good. Recently, the band reissued Swagger with exclusive tracks, an Irish traditional set, a 60-minute video feature, and exclusive merch in a collectable box set.

Indie label COP International Records continues its rapid growth in 2021, proudly announcing the signing of the newest artist to its label roster, Stoneburner. The post-industrial music and art project is the latest from prolific multimedia creative Steven Archer. Baltimore-based Archer is also known for co-founding the darkwave gothic rock duo Ego Likeness (Metropolis Records) with Donna Lynch that formed in 1999 and has successfully released several albums and completed several tours in Europe.

Stoneburner is steeped in sci-fi themes and is inspired by many of the otherworldly fiction Archer likes to read and the accompanying videos for each song that Archer self-produces are mired in these themes as well. The project’s name is taken from a weapon from the science fiction novel Dune; Archer’s once guiding light for the project was seeking to answer the question, “What would dance music on Dune planet Arrakis sound like?”

The new album, Apex Predator, takes a different turn in perspective for Stoneburner, becoming more personal and internalized for Archer. He says, “For this album, I decided to write music that I feel addresses the ways modern industrial music falls short. Focusing not on dance floors and clubs but writing songs with intelligent lyrics that speak to the human condition, both in general and based on my own personal experience.”

Apex Predator is set to be released by COP International Records in 2021 and will be produced by the lauded John Fryer whose production credits include Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and Love & Rockets. Fryer also acts as COP International’s A&R agent. The album will be a follow-up to Stoneburner’s last self-released LP Technology Implies Belligerence. Says Archer of that release, “It was the industrial record that I have been promising myself I would make for my entire life."

In the past year, the inexhaustible creative has produced 3 EPs, a mini full-length of original Stoneburner material, two records of instrumental soundscape tracks, and three EPs of covers, along with 15 videos—and looks forward to bringing this same level of creative output to his new relationship with COP International.

In addition to his music works, Archer has also made a career in fine art and commission works as well as writing, including crafting an illustrated version of Edgar Allen Poe's "Masque of the Red Death," which is on the preliminary ballot for the Stoker Award category for Excellence in a Graphic Novel. As well, he wrote a children’s book called Luna Maris and can be found selling his artwork at shows when on tour.

Stoneburner has toured with Voltaire and Archer has worked with a range of contemporaries on remixes, including Information Society, Primitive Race, The Last Dance, Angelspit, I:Scintilla, The Cruxshadows, Noir, Gentleman Junkie, Lame Immortelle, Helalyn Flowers, Black Tape For A Blue Girl and Inertia. In 2014, he was commissioned by NASA to write a score for a promotional video for their “Bennu” program and his ongoing work has also been used in a number of films and documentaries.

Of the label signing, Archer says, “I am very excited to sign to COP International Records. I’ve been in this game a long time and I really appreciate how forward-thinking the label is — they are running their business exactly the way I would in the current climate, focusing on developing a small group of quality and hand-picked artists. I’m very proud to be among that group!”

COP International Records Founder Christian Petke adds, "I'm so thrilled to have Stoneburner on our roster. Steven inspires me as it feels he has picked up the torch for industrial music's origins, a time when the genre's lineage to punk was apparent and bands really took a stand. The events of the last year have brought us full circle and Stoneburner has used that as creative momentum, combining the raw noise and anger of industrial music with lyrics that speak of a world that is rather dark and ever-shifting, real, and sometimes outright scary. There is a burning passion in his heart and music and I find that incredibly attractive. I can’t wait to see what Steven and John Fryer cook up together, but know it will be something that will hit you like a ton of bricks."

More announcements regarding Stoneburner will be forthcoming in 2021.

The Industrial-Electronic Project Of Emileigh Rohn

Teams Up With Noted Collaborator John Fryer

(Black Needle Noise & Producer Behind Depeche Mode, NIN)

On LP, Featuring Previous Singles “Away” & “Are You Okay?”

Evocative New Single “Intertwined” Released Today

Hear it HERE

COP International Records is pleased to announce the indie label’s first release of the new year: the anticipated debut album from Chiasm And John Fryer. Called Missed The Noise, the full-length LP will arrive March 5 and includes 11 bold tracks including the previously released singles “Away” and “Are You Okay?”—the latter playing directly into the current landscape amidst COVID-19, racial tensions and economic distress with a poignant “check-in” for listeners, and to let them know they are not alone.

The project of Detroit-based musician Emileigh Rohn, Chiasm has become known for cultivating lush, eclectic, eerily dystopian sonic landscapes with delicately balanced vocals for the past 20-plus years. On this latest release she teams up with collaborator John Fryer, the mastermind behind the project Black Needle Noise and the noted producer who was worked with Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, 4AD, Cocteau Twins and Love and Rockets.

Pre-sales for Missed The Noise are currently available HERE.

Today, Chiasm And John Fryer also release a new taste of the album with the eerily cinematic track “Intertwined,” which can be heard HERE.

Says Rohn of the album, "Working with John [Fryer] was a completely fresh experience for me that reinvigorated my passion for writing. The opportunity arrived, thanks to COP International, at a time I wasn't sure of my next direction in music at all. I had released my solo album Reset in 2019 and I was ready for a new approach. Creating Missed The Noise was unprecedentedly fast-paced and insightful for me. I became capable of trusting my instincts and pushed my creativity forward without over-questioning. The collaboration felt easy. I loved what John did with each track, and we worked delightfully smoothly together in my experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the process, and am certain it has influenced how I will continue my art forever. I am so thankful."

And Fryer adds, "It was extremely exhilarating working with Emileigh. As soon as I heard the vocals for the first song, everything seemed to click like all of a sudden the stars aligned and off we went on this incredible journey and ending with the wonderfully fantastical album Missed The Noise.

Missed The Noise comes on the heels of a busy 2020 for Chiasm, which saw her release the Away EP in June and the “Are You Okay?” single and remix EP in August, which also featured John Fryer and contributions from label mates Stabbing Westwardand Jean-Marc Lederman (Front 242/The Leathermen) as well as Third Realm and Glass Apple Bonzai.

The newest release follows a long line of notable releases from Chiasm (established in 1997), including the 2001 album Disorder with the track “Isolated” that was featured in the television show NCIS as well as in the Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlinescomputer game. Rohn has also collaborated with genre stars Attrition, Carphax Files, Jean-Marc Lederman, Third Realm, :10:, and Acclimate.

All of Rohn’s previous releases had been self-written, programmed, performed and produced in her Michigan studio known as the MausHaus. The music, and the project name (which refers to the optic chiasm, a crossing of optic neurons in the brain that allow people to have continuous and peripheral vision), are in dedication to her full-time career in the field of science.

Here is what the press has had to say about Chiasm:

“’Away’ is a beautiful song featuring dense, stuttering electronics and Chiasm’s trademark ethereal vocals that shift into an echoing, high-pitched chorus… a massively overlooked talent in the industrial and dark electronic scene.” —Synthpop Fanatic

"Emileigh Rohn's voice is somewhere between Bjork and kaRIN of Collide—soothing in sound and yet jarring in message.” —Outburn Magazine

“The Detroit-based performer has put out some austere material the past 20-something years, industrial-drenched noise explosions and implosions, but ‘Away; is considerably more accessible thanks in part to her collaboration with John Fryer, producer for the likes of Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails…. a dramatic, hard-rubbed-synthesizer brand of electro, a Goldfrapp-meets-Grimes instrumental context for the vocals of Rohn, who at times sounds like a dead ringer for the Bangles’ Susannah Hoffs.” —Knoxville News Sentinel

"What Kate Bush is to pop culture, Chiasm is to electronic music." —Zillo

"The often dismal character of the Motor City is known for inspiring a host of instrumental techno artists, but Chiasm (Emileigh Rohn) chooses to express her angst through very intimate and intense audio exorcisms that juxtapose her ethereal, haunting vocals and confrontational snarls with murky, minimalist industrial sounds. … An audio diary full of electro energy and honest emotion that gives the idea of 'girl power' a whole new spin." —CMJ

"Emileigh Rohn's music is one of the often overlooked treasures of the dark electro/industrial genre." —LiarSociety
