Ministry Announces ‘The Squirrely Years Revisited’ Out 3/28, Celebrating The Early Synth Pop Years With New Studio Takes

Al Jourgensen is finally making peace with the past. After the incredible reception to Ministry’s With Sympathy and Twitch-heavy set at Cruel World 2024, Jourgensen decided it was time to reexamine his long-dormant synth pop hits and give them a fresh polish 40 years later. The result is the forthcoming album, The Squirrely Years Revisited, out March 28 via Cleopatra Records.

Featuring 9 tracks (3 additional bonus tracks on CD), the album offers reworked versions of cult classic hits like “Everyday Is Halloween,” “Work For Love,” “I’m Not An Effigy,” and “I’ll Do Anything For You.” New music videos will soon be released for several tracks as well.

To celebrate the album and the new-old era of Ministry, the band — also including John Bechdel (keyboards), Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto (guitars), Pepe Clarke Magaña (drums) and Paul D’Amour (bass) —will embark on The Squirrely Years Tour beginning April 29, with a set dominated by Jourgensen’s earliest works. Opening support will come from Ministry’s old-school comrades, including Nitzer Ebb for the first half of the tour, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult for the second half of the tour; and Die Krupps on all dates. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 14 at 10 AM local time in each market.

“Since I hated my early stuff for decades, I decided to take ownership of it and do it right,” says Jourgensen.

The Squirrely Years Revisited follows the release of Ministry’s 16th studio album in 2024, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES, and comes ahead of the final new studio album from Ministry in 2026, a record that has Jourgensen teaming up with Paul Barker once again.

ABOUT MINISTRY

Born in 1981 in Chicago, Ministry has been the lifetime passion project of founder Al Jourgensen, considered to be the pioneer of industrial music. In its early days, Ministry was identifiable by its heavy synth-pop material in line with the new sounds and technology that were being developed in the ‘80s. Ministry’s output began with four 12” singles on Wax Trax! Records in 1981 before the first LP With Sympathy in 1983 via Arista Records. As time progressed however, so did Ministry, quickly developing a harsher, and more stylized sound that the band soon became infamous for on seminal albums Twitch (1986), The Land of Rape and Honey (1988), and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste (1989). With the release of Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs (1992), Ministry hit an all-time high in the mainstream musical realm and received its first Grammy nomination. In total, Ministry has been nominated for a Grammy award six times. Eight more albums would follow before an indefinite break in 2013, only to be unearthed again in 2018 with AmeriKKKant, continuing to reflect Jourgensen’s views on the frightening state of society and politics. The 2021 album Moral Hygiene marked a new creative era of Jourgensen and the band. Ministry’s 16th studio album, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES, was released March 1, 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Ministry Has Something To Say About “B.D.E.” The Latest Track From HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES Out March 1; Industrial Giant’s Tour Kicks Off February 27

Toxic misogyny, violence against women, and incels are the latest target Al Jourgensen takes aim at in the song “B.D.E.” (aka “Big Dick Energy”) out today, including a spellbinding music video that draws the line on the poisonous behavior seen in both politics and everyday life in 2024.

See the music video for “B.D.E.” below.

The song’s whiplash riffs, barreling drums, punchy keys, and pummeling bass all come to a head in the thrash breakdown mid-song, putting the aggressive talents of Jourgensen and the full band — John Bechdel (keyboards), Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto (guitars), Roy Mayorga (drums) and Paul D’Amour (bass) — on full display.

Says Jourgensen of the track: “The incel subsect and general misogynistic tendencies in our society are dangerous yet seem to fly under the radar so we figured it’s time to shine a light on it. In true Ministry fashion we battle it with sarcasm”

“B.D.E.” hails from Ministry’s upcoming 16th studio album

HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES (out March 1, 2024 on Nuclear Blast Records) and follows the release of earlier singles  “Just Stop Oil” and “Goddamn White Trash,” all of which give a preview of the state of mind of creator and band leader Jourgensen who is cantankerous as ever about a f***ed up world ripe for a boot up its ass. Like always, he's merely looking around at the same dumpster fire we all are, but he's got a microphone and uses it well to rage on about the state of the world.

Joined by Ministry’s current frontline of musicians, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES also has a slew of special guest contributors including Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hutz, long-time collaborator and Lard companion Jello Biafra and Corrosion of Conformity frontman Pepper Keenan.

HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES will be available in three vinyl variants, a CD jewelcase and digital/streaming platforms. The vinyl variants include: green with yellow splatter (in stores everywhere); blue with pink splatter (nuclear blast exclusive); red with white splatter (band/tour exclusive).

Corporate greed. Sharky politicians. Climate out-of-control. Questionable government interests. All of it comes to a head in Al Jourgensen’s latest diatribe against the system, “Just Stop Oil.” The brand-new track – from Ministry’s upcoming 16th studio album HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES – is shared today alongside a visually stimulating music video that begs for action for the benefit of our collective future.

Says Jourgensen of the track: “Ministry approves this message and the movement behind it. ENOUGH is ENOUGH!"

See the video for “Just Stop Oil” below

“Just Stop Oil” follows the release of earlier single “Goddamn White Trash,” both anchor tracks from HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES (out March 1, 2024 on Nuclear Blast Records) that give a preview of the state of mind of creator and band leader Al Jourgensen who is cantankerous as ever about a f***ed up world ripe for a boot up its ass. 3TEETH Releases New Single “Higher Than Death” & Animated Lyric Video

There’s just a month to go until 3TEETH releases its first full-length album in four years, EndEx on September 22 via Century Media Records. Continuing with the series of monthly singles ahead of the release, the modern industrial act today shares the rollicking track, “Higher Than Death.” It’s paired with an animated lyric video that allows listeners to come even closer with the lyrical venom of band frontman and mastermind Alexis Mincolla.

See the video for “Higher Than Death” below.

Says Mincolla of the track, “The only clear view is from atop the mountain of your dead selves.”

3TEETH’s new album EndEx will be released by Century Media Records on September 22, showcasing the modern industrial act at their most raucous yet, unveiling bold revelations of humanity’s technosocial disintegration behind a brutal soundtrack that sounds all the alarms. Revolver recently hailed EndEx one of the top 20 most anticipated albums of 2023, saying it “promises to be the band's weirdest, most expansive offering yet.”

EndEx is the band’s first album since 2019’s Metawar, which Consequence recently named as one of the Top 50 Industrial Albums of All Time, hailing 3TEETH as “one of the modern bands keeping industrial alive.”

EndEx features the handiwork of a solid extended team including the accomplished sound designer Mick Gordon (best known for his work on the gaming phenomenon DOOM) who produced several of the tracks along with producer Nick Rowe and mixer Sean Beavan (NIN), bringing in another dimension to the band’s unmistakable sound.

Early singles have included noisemaker “Paralyze” (featuring Ho99o9); the gripping sonic salvo, “Merchant of the Void,” that touches on the bleak landscape of modern society amid A.I. takeovers and economic collapse; “Slum Planet,” taking aim at the ills of a sick planet obsessed with over-consumption at all costs; Scorpion,” a track in which the band’s instrumental arsenal is tempered by alluring female vocal chants that provide an ambient feel; and the stripped-back single “Drift,” paired with a video showing the band at work in the studio.

Early tracks have been hailed as some the “best new songs” by Metal Hammer and Revolver. While Metal Hammer says the new 3TEETH material “traces lineage in both Al Jourgensen and Trent Reznor,” Revolver hails the new music as “utterly gigantic and over-the-top in the best way possible” and applauds the return of 3TEETH in 2023 at a time “when we needed their apocalyptic, incendiary industrial-metal most.”

Ahead of the release of EndEx in late September, 3TEETH will release two more singles. Other highlights on the album include a cover of Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” continuing 3TEETH’s penchant for aggressive reworks of pop songs, previously seen on Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks,” Sweet’s “Ballroom Blitz” and Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like A Record).”

EndEx will be available in CD, Gatefold LP, and digital album formats. Special formats include:

  • Red LP (available at all EU outlets)

  • Red Smoke LP (available at all US outlets)

  • Ultra-Clear / Red Splatter LP (available from 3TEETH)

  • Black-White Marbled LP (available from Revolver)

ABOUT 3TEETH

3TEETH first manifested their cybersocial intentions as early as 2013: a musical entity born out of Mincolla’s Downtown L.A. weekly gatherings known as “Lil’ Death” With Xavier Swafford (keys, synth), Chase Brawner (guitars) and Andrew Means (bass, synth) joining Mincolla. 3TEETH released their first self-titled album the following year. Alliances with the likes of TOOL and Rammstein resulted in the collective’s first live performances and a rise to further notoriety with the release of 2017’s album shutdown.exe. which took 3TEETH to global stages. Working alongside producer and mixer Sean Beavan (NIN) at new label home, Century Media, 3TEETH upped their own sonic arms race with Metawar (2019) and entered a new echelon of cultural consciousness with a collection of tracks including the biting “President X” and their haunting take on Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks.”

"The modern carriers of the industrial rock torch" — Revolver

"State-of-the-art sensory overload with take-no-prisoners level of aggression" — Rolling Stone

The Latest Track From Upcoming New Album

Coming Soon Via Century Media And

Featuring Several Tracks Produced By

DOOM Composer Mick Gordon

As the hits of the world keep coming, so does ripe new material from 3TEETH. Today, the modern industrial act provides another tempting taste of their anticipated new album with the release of “Slum Planet,” featuring production from DOOM composer Mick Gordon. It’s featured alongside a gripping new video from one of Hollywood’s leading directors Matteo Santoro (who grew up with 3TEETH frontman Alexis Mincolla).

Repeating the anthemically charged chorus, “I don’t care if you live or you die, as long as you’re willing to buy,” the song takes aim at the ills of a sick planet obsessed with over-consumption at all costs, further admonished in an attention-grabbing mid-track diatribe from frontman and creative lead Alexis Mincolla.

As Mincolla explains the track, ”An ecosystem? More like an ego-system. ‘Slum Planet’ is a monument to the hubris of mankind, to the ruthless exploitation of nature in the name of progress, to the willful blindness of those who chose profits over preservation.”

Pre-save “Slum Planet” here: https://3TEETH.lnk.to/SlumPlanet-Single

“Slum Planet” continues 3TEETH’s series of monthly teases leading up to their anticipated fourth album coming soon via Century Media Records (with more details to be announced soon).

It follows the May 3 release of their explosive return to the fold with “Merchant of the Void,” hailed as a one of the “best new songs” by Metal Hammer and Revolver. While Metal Hammer says the song “traces lineage in both Al Jourgensen and Trent Reznor,” Revolver hails the song as “utterly gigantic and over-the-top in the best way possible” and applauds the return of 3TEETH in 2023 at a time “when we needed their apocalyptic, incendiary industrial-metal most.”

To lay the foundation for the new material, 3TEETH migrated to the deserted quiet of Joshua Tree, escaping from the palpable anxiety of their hometown of Los Angeles for fresh new perspective. The material is currently being wrapped up with a solid extended team including the accomplished sound designer Mick Gordon (best known for his work on the gaming phenomenon DOOM) who produced several of the tracks along with producer Nick Rowe and mixer Sean Beavan (NIN), bringing in another dimension to the band’s unmistakable sound.

Says Gordon, “3TEETH are one of my favorite acts. They proudly fly their own unique flag. The new album charts course through the next stage of our vanity-led evolution as a species, and by that I mean the album is a world unto itself. I’m just stoked that these guys have allowed me along for the ride.”

Ministry is fresh off the road, appearing with Nine Inch Nails and Nitzer Ebb for a once-in-a-lifetime show in Cleveland as well as Louder Than Life festival in September. In April, the industrial stalwarts wrapped up the much-anticipated Industrial Strength Tour that celebrated the 30th anniversary of landmark album The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste, receiving some of the best reviews of their career.

“The Industrial Strength Tour … was nothing less than extraordinary, complete with an ode to their early tours” –Outburn

“It’s shows like this that restore faith in unadulterated music” —The Vinyl District

“Out of all the incarnations of Ministry throughout the years, this could be the tightest unit musically in the band’s illustrious career” —Splice Magazine

“This was a show as unique as its frontman, shrugging off many conventions in favor of a performance that truly fit Ministry’s legacy. …The hunger for this tour was evident, and made this unforgettable headlining set even stronger” —Bravewords

“As someone who’s seen Ministry many, many times in his life, I’ll say this show was different. The classic tracks had a renewed feel and sound and worked really well. From the audience reaction, this was a good combination” —In The Loop

“Ending with new material, it was clear the band hasn't lost its touch. The chugging, siren-sounding guitars, machinelike drumbeats, electronic noises and Jourgensen's raspy talk-box vocals seemed to embody the state of the world today as accurately as they did during the ’90s” —San Antonio Current

“These guys aren’t going anywhere, and the music world’s a better place because of it” —Glide Magazine

In addition to creator and founder Al Jourgensen, Ministry’s full band will appear in the livestream show, including drummer Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour, Soulfly, Nausea), guitarists Cesar Soto (Man The Mute) and Monte Pittman (Madonna, Prong), bassist Paul D’Amour (Tool, Feersum Ennjin), and keyboardist John Bechdel (Killing Joke, Fear Factory).

As well as classic hits, some of the night’s set list will include material from Moral Hygiene, Ministry’s 15th studio album that features some of the project’s strongest and most inspired material to date. It’s the creative masterwork of founder and creator Jourgensen who spent the pandemic pause ruminating on the new world we as a society have found ourselves in – while pondering just what we are going to do about it.

The 10 tracks are a societal manifesto and plea for civilization to get back to a set of standards that lives up to and embraces our humanity. Previous singles have included "Alert Level" (sounding the alarm on the state society is in), "Good Trouble" (a rallying cry to fight for human rights in homage to Civil Rights leader John Lewis), “Disinformation” (the dangers of consuming mass media without critical thinking) and "Search And Destroy" (the unique take on The Stooges classic). The latter features guitar virtuoso Billy Morrison (Billy Idol/Royal Machines) who is also heavily featured on a number of songs on the album.

Moral Hygiene is available now through Nuclear Blast Records in CD, vinyl and digital download formats at the following links:

The band’s latest effort, Moral Hygiene, came out October 1, 2021 on Nuclear Blast Records, ahead of upcoming tours planned for 2022.

  • TWLOHA - We probably don’t need to convince you that depression is real, that treating addiction isn’t as simple as “just stopping," or that suicide has robbed too many of us of too many memories. You already know that these words are attached to names and faces, and they may even remind you of the person you see in the mirror every day. This is not an attempt to raise awareness; rather it’s an invitation to move the conversation forward with more compassion and grace. We invite you to visit the TWLOHA booth on-site for information on mental health resources, opportunities to share your story, and the space to feel less alone, more hopeful, and connect to folks at the festival who believe your presence has made Welcome To Rockville a better place. Starting conversations about mental health can be difficult and intimidating, so throughout the weekend we are inviting you into the conversation by asking two questions: "What is one thing you wish you could say?" and "What is one thing that you need to hear?"

  • Punk Rock & Paintbrushes X Rock Against Racism – Punk Rock & Paintbrushes is proud to announce that they will be a part of Welcome To Rockville with an onsite art exhibit that will showcase pieces from those playing at the festival and visual artists within the music community. This year they will also be teaming up with Rock Against Racism, an organization that brings together fans of all backgrounds through a shared love of music to discourage young people from embracing racism. Together they will be debuting their latest art collaborations with "Art on Shoes," generously provided by TUK Footwear and created by a variety of band members playing at the festival through an on-site art auction to raise funds and awareness. Artists include but are not limited to: James “Munky” Schaffer of KORN, Mike Gallo of Agnostic Front and Charlie Benante of Anthrax.

  • Roundabout Ferris Wheel - Fans will feel on top of the #worldcenterofrock on the Roundabout Ferris Wheel! They’ll get to watch all the magic of Welcome To Rockville unfold as you go around, and may even catch one of their favorite artists in a setting unlike anything you'll experience.

Frayle Premieres Brand-New Single & Music Video For “Skin & Sorrow” Via Revolver, Title Track From Ritual Metal Duo’s N

Frayle is back with a vengeance, offering up their latest single “Skin & Sorrow,” accompanied by a bewitching new music video that premieres today via Revolver here: https://www.revolvermag.com/music/see-frayles-freaky-video-haunting-new-song-skin-sorrow

Directed by Frayle, the video is set in a barren field below a dead gray sky as frontwoman Gwyn Strang dons her best Puritanical ensemble while casting a number of spells, not the least of which is on the viewer entranced by her hypnotic mystique.

See the video below.

“Skin & Sorrow” is the title track from the ritual metal duo’s upcoming album, which will be released July 8 via Brooklyn’s Aqualamb Records. It follows their groundbreaking debut 1692 in 2020 that further introduced the world to their penchant for creating “lullabies over chaos.” Tracks feature Strang’s ethereal vocals laid over the voluminous instrumentals of Sean Bilovecky (formerly of Disengage), morphing into disturbing harmonies best described as music for the night sky.

Revolver calls the song an “awesomely haunting and dirgy title-track” and one that “is eerie and ethereal for its first half, but slowly lets more crunchy fuzz into the fold that builds up to a detonating finish with gobs of spiritual atmosphere.”

In addition to haunting original tracks that push heavy music into new dimensions (an inspirational mix of Sleep and Portishead, or Black Sabbath and Bjork), the Cleveland duo is known for their cryptic covers including takes on Johnny Cash’s “Ring Of Fire” and Bauhaus’ “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.”

“Skin & Sorrow” follows the trajectory and is a cornerstone of the themes and messages on the upcoming album. As Strang says, “Our first single, ‘Skin & Sorrow’ is very personal to me. It’s about watching someone close to you dying and how empty and useless you feel. It can seem like all that’s left of you is just skin and sorrow.”

Frayle will offer the first tastes of the new music on their upcoming mini-headlining tour as well as select dates opening for Candlemass. The full run of shows this spring is as follows:

4/17 Brooklyn, NY @ Union Pool

4/20 Cambridge, MA @ Middle East*

4/21 Easthampton, MA (secret show – DM the band on socials for info)

4/22 Pittsburgh, PA @ Cattivo

4/23 Detroit, MI @ Sanctuary

4/24 Chicago, IL @ Thalia Hall*

* supporting Candlemass

Find tickets and more info at: https://www.songkick.com/artists/9546814-frayle

Frayle has also announced they will appear at UK’s Damnation Festival in May and Germany’s Gloomaar Festival in November.

More dates and full information on Skin & Sorrow will be coming soon. Presales are now available with additional Europe only vinyl variants coming via Lay Bare Recordings. Preorder Skin & Sorrow here: https://aqualamb.org

There’s just one more week until the much-anticipated Stabbing Westward album Chasing Ghosts will be released on March 18 – marking the influential industrial rock band’s first new LP in more than 20 years. And today, the group tides over fans with the release of a new music video for their latest single, “Ghost.”

Created by frontman Christopher Hall, the video is a gripping art piece featuring all four band members – also including co-founder Walter Flakus(keyboards/programming) as well as Carlton Bost (guitars and programming) and Bobby Amaro (drums) – in their home studios.

See the video for “Ghostbelow.

Fans can also purchase the single in a physical or digital format, and will be gifted with several additional tracks including remixes of “Ghost” lead by Christopher Hall and Assemblage 23 along with a reworking of early hit “Why,” from 1996 RIAA Certified Gold album Wither Blister Burn & Peel. The single can be purchased at this link: https://stabbingwestward.bandcamp.com/album/ghost

“Ghost” is from the new album Chasing Ghosts that will be out March 18, 2022 via COP International Records. It features 10 tracks that showcase the industrial rock band’s characteristic sound with a modern sheen that picks up right where they left off with their last full-length in 2001. With the new tracks, Stabbing Westward has not only managed stay true to their original sound, but also expanded it to fit the frantic new reality of the 21st century.

“Ghost” follows the single “I Am Nothing” that was released in November 2021, with Loudwire saying, “20 years later, [Stabbing Westward] are back in the studio making the same intense electro-goth bangers they were doing two decades earlier. Now, the compressed crunchy guitar riffs, steady pounding beats, and signature wail of singer Christopher Hall highlight a tension that seems to fit perfectly this day and age.”

Chasing Ghosts will feature brand-new songs as well as re-workings of the band’s acclaimed 2020 reunion EP Dead And Gone that finds original founding members Christopher Hall (vocals/guitar) and Walter Flakus (keyboards/programming) honing in on the incredible partnership that once produced a string of hits that dominated alternative radio and film soundtracks, including “Shame,” “Save Yourself” and “What Do I Have to Do?” – and resulted in two Certified Gold records.

To recreate that original chemistry, the band recruited the legendary producer John Fryer to again helm Chasing Ghosts. Fryer, whose production credits include Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, 4AD, Cocteau Twins and Love and Rockets, originally worked with Stabbing Westward on their best-selling early releases Ungod (1994) and Wither Blister Burn + Peel (1996). Chasing Ghosts was also mastered by Tom Baker who, like Fryer, worked with Stabbing Westward on their early releases and is part of the reassembled production team on the latest album.

Presales for Chasing Ghosts are on sale now here:

https://stabbingwestward.bandcamp.com/album/chasing-ghosts-2

With artwork by David Seidman (who has worked with Coheed And Cambria and is known for his ethereal and surrealistic imagery), formats include digital, 6-panel digipack CD, and limited-edition vinyl including a run of 2,000 double-gatefold 180gr black vinyl with an additional insert. Exclusive limited-edition merch will also be announced soon.

In addition to recently being covered in Loudwire, Consequence Of Sound, Revolver, SPIN, Bloody Disgusting and other top media outlets, Stabbing Westwardhas been receiving rave reviews for their latest material:

The Dead and Gone EP ultimately proves how memorable Stabbing Westward’s industrial rock can be, and it serves as a teaser for a looming full-length album that many are anticipating… they sound just as passionate and exciting as ever.” —Blabbermouth

For both casual listeners and ardent fans of the group, the fire is raging inside Stabbing Westward as the collective enjoys this new chapter in its history.

—MXDWN

About Stabbing Westward

Blending the scathing electronics of underground industrial/rock with the emotive melodies of goth and a decidedly radio-friendly sensibility, Stabbing Westward rose to great heights in the mid-‘90s alternative boom. Formed in 1986 by Walter Flakus and Christopher Hall, the band went from underground cult sensation to the heights of critical and commercial success thanks to such songs as “Shame,” “Save Yourself,” “So Far Away” and “What Do I Have to Do?”. To this day, these songs remain anthems of heartache, dejection, rage, betrayal and depression. With two Gold albums and numerous hit singles, Stabbing Westward fell from grace with the 2001 self-titled album amid personal and professional turmoil, disbanding the following year and leaving a void in modern music that was somewhat filled by Hall’s later work in The Dreaming. However, it was the release of that band’s Rise Again in 2015 that the seeds were sown for a reunion. That album saw Flakus once again making music with Hall, with Stabbing Westward guitarist Mark Eliopulos joining The Dreaming onstage in Chicago for a set of past hits. In 2019, Hall and Flakus came together again to release the Dead And Gone EP, the first new Stabbing Westward material in 18 years. Written and produced by Flakus and Hall over the course of three years, and recorded in multiple states and time zones, these new songs capture the very essence of the Stabbing Westward sound. Adding longtime bandmate Carlton Bost (Orgy, Deadsy, The Dreaming) and new drummer Bobby Amaro (Orgy) to the official lineup, the band has also once again recruited the talent of producer John Fryer—instrumental on early albums “Ungod” and “Wither Blister Burn + Peel”—for a new album, Chasing Ghosts to be released in early 2022 through a new partnership with COP International.

Today, L.A.-based hard rock duo Satellite Citi self-releases their latest full-length effort Fear Tactics. The 10-track album showcases the band’s evolution and further cements their reputation as the next band to break big.

Helmed by producer Brad Wood (Smashing Pumpkins, Placebo, Liz Phair, Touche Amore), Fear Tactics sonically features a wide range of inspiration from Black Sabbath to Muse to Halestorm. And the message of the album thematically centers around the importance of mental health, while also representing the band’s own struggles of coping with fear and anxiety, even more apparent in today’s culture.

As Huffington Post has previously declared of the band, “Satellite Citi are on the road to delivering audiences with music that tackles important issues that our society is facing today.”

Their latest singles highlight this focal point for the band. Released in May, “Empath” is centered around the five stages of grief – Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance – and aimed to help end the stigma surrounding mental health. The acoustic version of the song premiered via MXDWN here: https://music.mxdwn.com/2021/06/11/news/mxdwn-premiere-satellite-citi-shine-a-light-on-mental-health-in-new-video-for-empath/

In late 2020, Satellite Citi also released “Antibody,” featuring Crobot’s Brandon Yeagley, dedicated to the people of Armenia and bringing awareness to the latest attacks on the country beginning in late September 2020 that killed hundreds of innocent civilians and displaced thousands more. See the evocative music video premiered by Loudwire here: https://loudwire.com/satellite-citi-antibody-video/

The band, featuring drummer/vocalist Anna Gevorkian and guitarist Shaunt Sulahian, are both Armenian-Americans born and raised in Los Angeles. They first launched Satellite Citi in 2015 and Fear Tactics continues their promising trajectory.

Fear Tactics can be ordered via the band’s Bandcamp page: https://satelliteciti.bandcamp.com/

Here’s what media have to say about Satellite Citi:

The alt-rock duo shatter expectations –American Songwriter

Expect to hear a lot from this dynamic, up-and-coming Los Angeles duo over the next few years. –MXDWN

[They] tackle dynamic lyrics and look to deliver music that one can only describe as deeply honest and surprisingly personal, all while exploring an excitingly refreshing rock n roll sound. –Alive N Loud

To celebrate the release of the album, Satellite Citi will host an all-ages album release show at Troubadour in West Hollywood, CA on Saturday, September 4. The bill also features Love Ghost and supporting acts Chasing Desolation and Hvnted.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and a percentage of ticket sales will be donated to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and the Check Your Head Podcast in support of mental health and music industry professionals in need. Buy tickets here: https://www.seetickets.us/event/Satellite-Citi/431869

A regular fixture on the stages in their hometown of Los Angeles, Satellite Citi is joined live by two anonymous Spacewalkers on bass and guitar that further taps into the band’s curiosity of other realms and advanced life forms. The band’s name, in fact, is based off of the idea of a city, outside of our galaxy, where people communicate with their minds.

In addition to music, Anna and Shaunt love video games and writing—they are currently working on their first original sci-fi graphic novel called Spacewalker with former DC editor Jim Higgins, that will coincide with a new concept EP in 2022. Satellite Citi also has five songs featured in the recently released rock documentary Long Live Rock…Celebrate The Chaos, directed by Jonathan McHugh, that features bands such as Metallica, Korn, Slipknot, and Rob Zombie. The trailer can be viewed HERE. As well the band’s song “Getaway” is featured in the new show “The Freak Brothers,” starring Woody Harrelson, John Goodman and Tiffany Haddish.

Out October 1 Via Nuclear Blast Records

Preorders Available Now

Last month, Ministry premiered the music video for the new track “Search And Destroy” via Rolling Stone. The song is a unique take on The Stooges’ hit that offers a uniquely slowed down tempo and frontman Al Jourgensen’s guttural howl that amplifies the song’s wartime critique.

In this new video interview, released today, Jourgensen discusses the inspiration for the cover, featuring Billy Morrison (Billy Idol, Royal Machines) who worked closely with Al to hone Ministry’s version. It was an idea they came up with after teaming up on the track in a moment of accidental kismet at the Above Ground benefit concert in Los Angeles in 2019.

Hear Al Jourgensen discuss “Search And Destroy” in detail in the new interview video here: https://youtu.be/q2rX3WwXzWs

See the music video for “Search And Destroy” Below.

“Search And Destroy” will appear on Ministry’s upcoming 15th studio album Moral Hygiene, which will be released via Nuclear Blast Records on October 1. With some of Ministry’s strongest and most inspired material to date, the 10 tracks are a follow-up to 2018’s lauded AmeriKKKant and put forth Jourgensen’s societal manifesto and plea for civilization to get back to a set of standards that lives up to and embraces our humanity.

Moral Hygiene also includes the previously released “Good Trouble” (a tribute to late Congressman and Civil Rights icon John Lewis) as well as “Alert Level” that sounded the alarms about our collective dissonance towards the pandemic, climate change and the man formerly in the White House, bolstered by the song’s overarching question posed to listeners: “How concerned are you?”

Moral Hygiene was recorded with engineer Michael Rozon (also behind the boards on AmeriKKKant) at Scheisse Dog Studio, Jourgensen’s self-built home studio and creative lab. As with all Ministry albums, all songs are written and performed by Al Jourgensen. Additional contributions come from Billy Morrison (Billy Idol, Royal Machines), Cesar Soto (Man The Mute), John Bechdel (Killing Joke, Fear Factory), Roy Mayorga (Stonesour, Soulfly, Nausea), Paul D’Amour (Tool, Feersum Ennjin),Arabian Prince (N.W.A.), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) and sitar player Flash.

Moral Hygiene will be available in CD, vinyl and digital download formats. Pre-orders are available at the follow links:

Today, Ministry continues touring and recording with the brand-new 15th studio album Moral Hygiene to be released October 1.

3TEETH Return With “Paralyze” Featuring Ho99o9 & Co-Produced By DOOM Composer Mick Gordon Ahead Of Forthcoming Album; Supporting Cradle Of Filth This Fall

Industrial Insurgents 3TEETH Return

With Scathing New Track + Video For “Paralyze”

Featuring Ho99o9 & Co-Produced By

DOOM Composer Mick Gordon, Also Currently Working With The Band On Forthcoming Album

3TEETH Will Dominate The Stage Again This Fall

As Direct Support For

Cradle Of Filth’s North American Tour +

An Anticipated Set At Welcome To Rockville Festival.

Two years after their gripping album Metawar was unleashed, setting off all kinds of alarms about the self-destructive path humanity has been treading on, industrial act 3TEETH makes their mighty return with the brand-new track and vicious video for “Paralyze.” The unruly new song pits the band alongside track collaborators Ho99o9 for a gritty electro-industrial metal mashup; it was also co-produced by DOOM composer Mick Gordon for an extra layer of techno-apocalyptic sheen.

See the video for “Paralyze” here:

Listen to the track “Paralyze” here: https://orcd.co/paralyze

Like all of their previous standout material, 3TEETH isn’t here to mince words on the newest release, with frontman and creative lead Alexis Mincolla saying the track was inspired by seeing people paralyzed by the hysteria of the current socio-political climate.

“Everyone seems to be heading into a visionless future and unable to do anything about it. The paralysis seems to be contagious as we all know things have to change, but it seems easier to imagine the end of the world then it does actual change at this point,” he says. “The media-induced tribalism keeps us in a gridlocked state of cultural schizophrenia as we continue to be trapped in the shadow of our progress. This song was aiming to reflect the frustrations and the horror that we all experience in our current state of waking sleep paralysis these days.”

3TEETH began working on “Paralyze” a year ago in the deserted quiet of Joshua Tree where they holed up to get away from the palpable anxiety of their hometown of Los Angeles to begin work on their fourth studio album that will be released via Century Media Records. The material is currently being wrapped up with the accomplished sound designer Mick Gordon (best known for his work on the gaming phenomenon DOOM) co-producing the tracks, bringing in another dimension to the band’s unmistakable sound.

Paralyze” is the first taste of the new, to-be-announced record. To amplify its message, 3TEETH teamed up with explosive punk-industrial-rap duo Ho99o9, a visionary act in their own right that they originally toured with in 2018. Of the track, Ho99o9 says, “This is only the beginning of an incendiary snowball effect. The nuke is yet to come.”

3TEETH will also make their anticipated return to the stage this fall, an artistic arena where they dominate with a dizzying spectacle that mixes futuristic, neo-cyber design with a voluminous sound that is nothing short of a sensory trip. The display of force has logged them tours with the likes of Rammstein, Tool, Ministry, HIM, Danzig and Ghostemane. Currently, they are slated to provide direct support for Cradle Of Filth on their ‘Lustmord and Tourgasm’ North American Tour beginning October 1, followed by an appearance at Welcome To Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida on November 13.

Ministry Kicks Off Industrial Strength Tour October 3

Debuting New Tracks Live & Celebrating 30 Years Of

The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste

After incubating for the larger part of 2020 – at time when creative mastermind Al Jourgensen was able to ruminate on the new world we as a society have found ourselves in – the time has finally come for Ministry to unleash their much-anticipated 15th studio album.

Aptly titled Moral Hygiene, the album will be released via Nuclear Blast Records on October 1. With some of Ministry’s strongest and most inspired material to date, the 10 tracks are a follow-up to 2018’s lauded AmeriKKKant and put forth Jourgensen’s societal manifesto and plea for civilization to get back to a set of standards that lives up to and embraces our humanity.

"The good thing about literally taking a year off from any social activity or touring is that you really get to sit back and get an overview of things as they are happening, as opposed to being caught up in the moment. And what I saw with how we handled several public crises - from the pandemic to racial injustice to who we vote in to lead our country - is that times are changing, and society needed to change to get away from the idea that has permeated us of take care of yourself, fuck everything else. Now more than ever we need moral hygiene,” says Jourgensen of the new album. It consumed me as I wrote this album. It’s not some pious term. It’s what we have to return to in order to function as the human species on this planet. And I'm proud to have had such great guests on this album to help cement that message like Billy Morrison, Jello Biafra and Arabian Prince.”

In conjunction with today’s album announcement, the latest track “Good Trouble” is also released. The song, inspired by the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests and the activist work of the late Congressman John Lewis, is accompanied by a new video that includes sampling from last year’s demonstrations in Los Angeles as captured by Jourgensen and his partner Liz Walton.

See the video for “Good Trouble” here

Jourgensen adds about the new single, "I was watching the coverage last July around Lewis’ death and was in awe the next day when this entire letter from him was published in the New York Times. How suss was that to want to keep making progress after his death by thinking about the legacy he left? I was struck by the reflectiveness of his speech, knowing he was dying and making sure it was released because he saw trouble ahead. That is the moral hygiene of this album - we have to do something to change and I really hope we continue to act and live up to the idea of getting into good trouble for the benefit of society."

Moral Hygiene also includes the previously released “Alert Level” that sounded the alarms about our collective dissonance towards the pandemic, climate change and the man formerly in the White House, bolstered by the song’s overarching question posed to listeners: “How concerned are you?”

The new album also adds perspective to the countless lives that were tragically lost to the COVID-19 pandemic on the haunting track “Death Toll” while “Disinformation”decries the too frequent willingness to accept everything – even mistruths – as fact.

Other musical jewels on the upcoming release include a collaboration with Jello Biafra (Jourgensen’s cohort in side project LARD) on “Sabotage Is Sex” and a unique take on The Stooges’ “Search And Destroy” that features guitar virtuoso Billy Morrison (Billy Idol/Royal Machines). Morrison is also heavily featured on a number of songs on the album.

Additional contributions come from Billy Morrison (Billy Idol, Royal Machines), Cesar Soto (Man The Mute), John Bechdel (Killing Joke, Fear Factory), Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour, Soulfly, Nausea), Paul D’Amour (Tool, Feersum Ennjin),Arabian Prince (N.W.A.), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) and sitar player Flash.

Moral Hygiene will be available in CD, vinyl and digital download formats. Pre-orders are available at the follow links:

Ministry will be debuting the new songs live – as well as celebrating the 30th anniversary of seminal album The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste – on the upcoming Industrial Strength Tour, kicking off on October 3 for 23 dates across the country. The trek will include special guests Helmet and Front Line Assembly.

In addition to Al Jourgensen (vocals, guitar), the touring band will include Roy Mayorga (drums), Paul D’Amour (bass), Cesar Soto (guitars), Monte Pittman (guitars) and John Bechdel (keyboards).

To Release Gripping New Track And Video For “Blood Diamond”

See It below

We Are PIGS Is The Project Of South African-Born Producer/Songwriter/Artist Esjay Jones

Who Gets Personal On New Song About Liberation From Past Trauma, Aligning With The Message Of Dave Navarro and PADHiA’s Duel Diagnosis Art Collective In The Video

“Blood Diamond” Follows “MOOT” (Featuring Morgan Lander),

With More Collaborations To Be Released Soon

Following the launch of the blistering track “MOOT” (featuring Kittie’s Morgan Lander) that premiered via Revolver in April, We Are PIGS today unleashes her latest creation — the gripping and brutally honest single “Blood Diamond,” accompanied by a visually alarming new video.

We Are PIGS is the brainchild of accomplished South African-born producer / songwriter / artist Esjay Jones who has worked behind the scenes with Krewella, Grey Daze, Billy Corgan and Brian “Head” Welch. For “Blood Diamond,” Jones collaborated with eclectic producer and musician M.O.B. – after sending her the beat, Jones wrote and sang to it for the heart-thumping final result. Standing for Music Over Business, M.O.B. is a music collective that mixes top-tier artists like Fever 333, DJ Lethal and 311’s P-Nut, with new and upcoming talents.

See the video HERE.

The song, which Jones says ultimately both petrifies and awe-inspires her, is about the destruction waged by past trauma at the hands of family — and Jones hopes to use the song as a mechanism to reach out to others going through the same healing process and letting them know they are not alone.

She says, “’Blood Diamond' is a song for all those healing and evolving in their lives, as I myself am still doing. In many ways I think the track was subconsciously written by a little girl that is still yearning for acceptance and learning what love really is while overcoming trauma. The pain of dealing with a dysfunctional parental relationship has really made for great art over the years but has also led to my own struggles with eating disorders, sexuality, self-love, and anger issues, and I just want people who are going through the same to know they are not alone. 'Blood Diamond' is my way of burying this burden and hopefully helping others navigate these stormy waters."

In the video, Jones wears a T-shirt from Dave Navarro and PADHiA’s art collective Duel Diagnosis, aligning with the organization’s mission to encourage people not to be shamed by struggle, but to celebrate coming out on the other side of it. Proceeds of sales from their line of prints and wearable art benefits organizations such as Safe Horizon, Musicares and Serenity Trauma Healing Center.

As Jones says of the group, "They sum it up perfectly: We all have our struggles, disorders, traumas, misadventures, flaws and defects. We are not set in concrete summarized by some shitty one-dimensional label. We are human, fallible, covered with bruises, affected ... we are also healing, evolving and each uniquely beautiful."

Jones met Navarro while producing the upcoming Grey Daze album, which is one of the great hallmarks of Jones’ sought-after production work. With the We Are PIGS project, characterized with a pig-masked frontwoman, Jones further steps into her own spotlight with a hybrid nu-metal/trap style that combines brutal riffs, brazen screams and ethereal melodies.

After debuting with a cover of Slipknot’s “Duality” in 2020, followed by original single “Pulse Queen” in early 2021, We Are PIGS has found an incredible following and support through playlist placements on Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music.

More We Are PIGS original tracks and collaborations will be coming soon.

About We Are PIGS/Esjay Jones

We Are PIGS is the nu-metal hybrid with brutal riffs, brazen screams and ethereal melodies created by South African born producer / songwriter / artist Esjay Jones. In the summer of 2020, We Are PIGS made its debut with a cover of Slipknot’s “Duality” and the first original single “Pulse Queen” followed at the tail end of the year that has boasted 15 additions to editorial playlists between Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music. Esjay Jones has been highlighted recently by the Recording Academy as well as recognized for solely producing the much-anticipated second LP for Grey Daze (Chester Bennington’s first band), matching his vocals with collaborations from Dave Navarro, Richard Patrick (Filter) and Bennington’s 9-year-old twin daughters, Lila and Lilly. Esjay has also worked with Sean Kingston, Jeffree Star, Olivia Holt, Escape The Fate, Mystery Skulls with Nile Rodgers and Brandy, Chester Rushing (Stranger Things), Alien Ant Farm, and many others. Esjay has had over a decade of success in the music industry: during the first part, she cemented herself as one of South Africa’s top rock vocalists fronting Durban-based band Stealing Love Jones. The band achieved mainstream success with four #1 Singles, as well as sharing the stage with major international acts like Fall Out Boy, Violent Femmes, Seether, Jimmy Eat World, and many more

“Long Live Rock…Celebrate The Chaos”

Today, L.A.-based hard rock duo Satellite Citi premieres the acoustic video for new single “Empath” via MXDWN who says of the song, “Husband and wife hard-rock duo Satellite Citi are known for their hard-hitting riffs, but their new song ‘Empath’ shows the band’s ability to shift gears into a more introspective sound. … Expect to hear a lot from this dynamic, up-and-coming Los Angeles duo over the next few years.”

Like many of Satellite Citi’s songs that have a strong message woven throughout the lyrics and art, “Empath” is centered around the five stages of grief -- Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance -- and aims to help end the stigma surrounding mental health.

See the acoustic video for “Empath” HERE.

The band, featuring drummer/vocalist Anna Gevorkian and guitarist Shaunt Sulahian, say of the video, which features many of their family and friends: “We thought it was important to create a symbolic visual representation in our video, as the world is slowly crawling out of one of the darkest periods in modern history and there’s a responsibility that individuals have to be proactive and seek help when they are in a bad mental state. We want to join the fight to end the stigma surrounding various mental illnesses that affect so many people.”

Satellite Citi has also released an exclusive new “Empath” T-shirt with proceeds benefitting NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). It features original artwork by Jaime Valderrama. Entitled “CHAMELEON,” it’s based on the subject of mental health and the struggles he's overcome. The T-shirt can be purchased HERE.

Gevorkian and Sulahian are both Armenian-Americans born and raised in Los Angeles. They first launched Satellite Citi in 2015 with the eloquent track “Rock Bottom” to commemorate the 100thanniversary of the Armenian Genocide. In late 2020, they returned to that important topic with the powerful song “Antibody”, featuring Crobot’s Brandon Yeagley, that premiered on Loudwire. It was dedicated to the people of Armenia and aimed to bring awareness to the latest attacks on the country beginning in late September 2020 that killed hundreds of innocent civilians and displaced thousands more.

Both “Antibody” and the original version of “Empath” are singles from Satellite Citi’s upcoming fall 2021 album Fear Tactics, which is produced by the lauded Brad Wood (Smashing Pumpkins, Placebo, Liz Phair, Touche Amore) and features a wide range of inspiration from Black Sabbath to Muse to Halestorm. Previous singles have included “Black Magic,” “Miscommunication” and “Getaway.”

As a follow-up to their acclaimed 2018 debut EP Negative Space, the new album will thematically center around the importance of mental health and represents the band’s own struggles of coping with fear and anxiety, that are even more permeated in today’s culture. As Huffington Post has declared of the band’s important messaging in their songs, which have also included songs devoted to LGBTQ+ youth, “Satellite Citi are on the road to delivering audiences with music that tackles important issues that our society is facing today.”

As well the band’s song “Getaway” is featured in the new show “The Freak Brothers.”

“Although we’ve always been intrigued by the idea of a ‘rock cruise,’ there are others in the space that already do it really well. For DWP to do a cruise, we had to have something that would make our voyage uniquely ours. The opportunity to work with Sixthman and add a festival on a private island in Belize gave us the twist we were looking for and the comfort of working with a best-in-class partner like the Sixthman team. When else will you ever have the chance to see Rob Zombie and Chevelle on a private island with 3,000 of your closest friends? This is exactly the once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience that DWP likes to create for our amazing fans,” says Danny Hayes, CEO of Danny Wimmer Presents.

Anthony Diaz, CEO of Sixthman, adds, “Today’s announcement of the high octane lineup and highly immersive vacation experience showcases the commitment of Danny Wimmer Presents and Sixthman to curate the ultimate vacation for rock fans that includes days and nights of music and more at sea plus a full festival day on a decked out private island. The inaugural VORAGOS event will be a truly mind-blowing festival next February and for years to come!”

Guests will be able to enjoy Norwegian Cruise Line’s signature freedom and flexibility to enjoy 11 onboard bars and lounges, 15 dining experiences, a casino, one outdoor pool, hot tubs and a full menu of spa treatments.
