Dance Gavin Dance Drop Brand New Track In Tribute To Late Bandmate, Tim Feerick

Chart topping progressive post-hardcore band Dance Gavin Dance has released a surprise new single and accompanying visualizer titled “The Ghost of Billy Royalton” today in tribute to their late bassist and dear friend, Tim Feerick, who tragically passed away last year.

The emotional track features vocals from Tilian Pearson, Jon Mess, Andrew Wells, and Will Swan, who shares:

“I made this video as a tribute to Tim, just as the song is. I made sure to incorporate Jurassic park and Star Wars which were 2 of his favorite things. This is the kind of thing I would make and just share with him and my friends. But because he’s not here, I’m sharing it with you all.”

Tickets will be available starting with Citi and Artist pre-sales beginning today. Additional pre-sales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning Friday, May 19 at 10 AM local time at DanceGavinDanceBand.com. 

Jackpot Juicer was released in April of 2021 and scored Dance Gavin Dance their highest charting postion on the Billboard Top 200 to date. Following the huge, sell-out success of Swanfest 2022, the one-day festival headlined and curated by Dance Gavin Dance, has today announced the festival's first ever East Coast edition, taking place at Mann Center, in Philadelphia, PA on Sunday, October 1st. The festival's third year marks the first-ever East Coast Swanfest and will feature a robust package of amazing bands (TBA in the coming weeks) alongside Dance Gavin Dance.

Dance Gavin Dance kicked off their 'Evening With Friends Tour' on Tuesday this week at the infamous Whisky A Go-Go on LA's Sunset Strip, which sold out within 3 minutes of going on sale. The special run of dates provides fans with a unique Dance Gavin Dance line-up. Guitarist Andrew Wells will be taking center stage to take over clean singing duties, Marc Okubo of Veil of Maya will be stepping in to cover Andrew’s guitar duties and the band will be joined by former Dance Gavin Dance frontman and frontman of Royal Coda, Kurt Travis, for select songs. Dance Gavin Dance Announce Intimate ‘An Evening With Friends Tour’ With Support From Royal Coda and Body Thief

Chart topping post-hardcore outfit, Dance Gavin Dance, have announced a very special “An Evening With Friends Tour” with support from Royal Coda and Body Thief. The tour, produced by Live Nation, will see Dance Gavin Dance play 21 intimate shows across the country, that will feature setlists comprised of fan favorites, rarely played deep cuts and new songs from the band’s upcoming album, ‘Jackpot Juicer’ (out July 29th via Rise Records). Starting with their very own festival, Swanfest, which will take place in the band's hometown of Sacramento and be headlined by the band. Immediately after, the band hit the road for their Spring 2022 headlining tour with Memphis May Fire, Volumes and Moontooth from April 26 - May 20th. The band are then due to hit the road with Coheed & Cambria for a nationwide amphitheater tour of the US starting on July 12th and funning until August 17th.

SWANFEST, the one-day festival headlined and curated by Dance Gavin Dance, has announced the new lineup for the rescheduled event taking place at Heart Health Park, in the band's hometown of Sacramento, CA on Saturday, April 23rd.

Since their inception in 2005, Dance Gavin Dance has steadily built a huge cult following. Blending complex instrumentation with huge poppy choruses and raw, aggressive screams, they have fathered an entire genre of their own characterized by their signature combination of elements of post-hardcore, math-rock, progressive-rock, and post-rock. This has become aptly named 'Swancore' after the band's virtuoso guitarist, Will Swan and his record label Blue Swan Records.

This was the inspiration for the first-ever Swanfest which took place in 2019 at City National Grove of Anaheim. Headlined and curated by Dance Gavin Dance, the event was a phenomenal sell-out success, seeing over 7000 fans in attendance - a rare feat for a festival in its first year.

SWANFEST was due to return for a second year in 2020, bigger and better and this time in Dance Gavin Dance's hometown of Sacramento, CA. Sadly, the pandemic meant the event had to be called off.
