WATCH "Photo Voltaire" - A Julien K Cover by The Intemperate Sons:

In the sweltering Dallas summer of 2019, before the onset of a global pandemic, The Intemperate Sons were born from blood, grit, and a shared obsession with the ghosts of alternative rock’s golden age. The Watson family—Keith on drums, Jake on guitars, and Max on vocals, guitars, and keys—joined forces with longtime friend and bassist Mark Marks to create a sound that’s equal parts searing riffs, haunting harmonies, and unapologetic soul. Think Alice in Chains’ brooding intensity, Stone Temple Pilots’ swagger, and R.E.M.’s poetic undercurrent, all filtered through a ‘70s rock haze that refuses to play it safe.

This isn’t just a band; it’s a family affair, where the unspoken bond between father and sons fuels every chord and lyric. Keith, a Dallas stage veteran, pens lyrics that cut deep—tales of regret, resilience, and the chaos of the human condition. Jake’s guitar lines, sharp yet soulful, weave narratives of their own, while Max’s voice carries the weight of a 25-year-old who’s lived a lifetime in his head. Mark, the groove-obsessed bassist, ties it all together.

The Intemperate Sons hit the ground running, catching the ear of rock heavyweights Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh (Orgy, Dead By Sunrise, Julien-K), who signed them to their Frame|Work label in 2021. Even a global pandemic couldn’t derail their momentum—holed up in The Kitchen Recording Studios, they crafted their debut album, The Color Within (2022), with tracks like “Dust to Dust” and “Running Man”that pulse with raw emotion and retro grit. Collaborations with legends like Tony Franklin (Whitesnake, The Firm) on singles like “Running Man” and “Dust to Dust” and Derakh’s production on singles like “Game of Keep Away” and “Dark Day’s Night” featured on their second and highly successful album, Dark Day’s Night (2024) pushed their sound further, blending post-grunge edge with folk and hard rock undercurrents.

For fans of alternative rock, this band is a throwback and a revelation—a reminder of why you fell in love with the genre’s raw honesty and a promise that its spirit still burns. The Intemperate Sons aren’t chasing trends; they’re carving their own path, one riff, one lyric, one night at a time.performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style which has a retro vibe with many guitar driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate on a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and even R.E.M.

The Intemperate Sons are:

Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)

Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)

Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals)

Mark Marks (bass)

IRON SAVIOR Unleash Powerful Metal Cover Of “Relax”

Hamburg’s power metal pioneers IRON SAVIOR return with their brand-new single "Relax", a crushing metal reinterpretation of the legendary 80s hit by Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

Following their previously released covers of Irene Cara’s “Fame” and Alphaville’s “Forever Young”, the band once again proves their ability to transform iconic pop songs into uncompromising power metal anthems. “Relax” is the latest single taken from the upcoming album Awesome Anthems of the Galaxy, scheduled for release on March 27, 2026 via PERCEPTION – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music.

Originally built on provocation and groove, “Relax” is reborn as a driving, riff-heavy anthem that turns restraint into raw energy. "Relax is one of my all time favorite non-metal song," IRON SAVIOR frontman Piet Sielck reveals. "It’s been on my mind for a very long time to do this and I really think, this version serves the original well. We did a good job in transferring the vibe and the energy of the original into the Iron Savior cosmos."

The band injects the track with soaring vocals, massive guitars, and their unmistakable melodic power, without losing the spirit of the original. With Awesome Anthems of the Galaxy, IRON SAVIOR prove once more that great songs never age - they just get heavier!

After reigniting their cosmic engines with Machine World – Reforged in 2025, IRON SAVIOR embark on their boldest mission yet. “Awesome Anthems of the Galaxy” transforms some of the most iconic pop hits of the 1980s into full-throttle power metal epics, combining nostalgia, passion, and the band’s trademark precision and fire, proving that the past can shine brighter than ever when reforged in metal.

From the electrifying rush of A-ha’s “Take On Me” and the thunderous drama of Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds” to the cinematic pulse of Jermaine Jackson & Pia Zadora’s “When The Rain Begins To Fall” and the adrenaline-fueled “Maniac” by Michael Sembello, IRON SAVIOR turn pop classics into heroic, melodic metal anthems.

“After the huge success of the 2002 Condition Red bonus track “Crazy” (Seal), which was actually used in a HBO TV show, we have been asked by fans and medias almost constantly to do a complete cover tracks album," Sielck explains, and adds: "So… two decades later here we are!” quotes frontman Piet Sielck. “AWESOME ANTHEMS continues the transformation from pop-to-metal in Iron Savior style as started with Seal’’s “Crazy” and Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams. We are absolutely proud of the outcome, which never looses the original vibe of the tracks but yet is 100% Iron Savior. Just listen yourself.. I guarantee a lot of smiles while doing so!”

BLAZONER Announces First Single "I'm In Love With My Car" From Upcoming Covers EP Sonic Chambers

Fredericksburg, Virginia heavy rock trio BLAZONER has released "I'm In Love With My Car," the first single from their upcoming covers EP Sonic Chambers, due out February 13, 2026. The track offers an electrified and harmony rich reinterpretation of the classic QUEEN deep cut.

The band approached the recording with a mix of respect, intensity, and playfulness. Drummer Andy Murray takes the lead vocal, a nod to Roger Taylor’s original performance, while Brian Carnes and Stephen Sullivan join him to build thick, layered choruses that showcase the trio’s signature multi vocal sound. The band recorded an extensive number of vocal tracks to capture the fullness and dramatic lift that makes the original song such a standout. Longtime friend and producer Jeff Covert helped guide the arrangement and brought extra clarity and dimension to the performance.

"I'm In Love With My Car" marks the first look at Sonic Chambers, a collection born from a spontaneous decision to record a few favorite covers in the studio. What began as a simple session quickly evolved into a five track EP that celebrates the music that shaped BLAZONER’s sound and spirit. The single highlights their ability to blend heavy rock power with melodic precision while staying true to the emotional core of the source material.

Listen Below;

About BLAZONER:

BLAZONER is a heavy rock power trio from Fredericksburg, Virginia, built on the belief that loud music should feel both massive and melodic. The band leans into thick, saturated riffs, driving rhythms, and vocal harmonies that hit as hard as the instruments behind them. Their sound blends the grit of stoner rock, the pulse of classic heavy rock, and the swirling textures of psychedelia, creating a style that feels raw, hook driven, and unmistakably their own.

Formed by Andy Murray, Brian Carnes, and Stephen Sullivan, BLAZONER is powered by the natural chemistry the three share when they play together. Every member sings, which gives the band a vocal identity rarely found in heavy music. Whether delivering gritty leads or layered harmonies, the voices of all three members work together to add color and emotion to the band’s thick wall of sound. The result is a blend of heaviness and melody that stands out both live and on record.

BLAZONER came out of the gate with a commitment to playing hard, writing often, and letting instinct lead the way. Since releasing their first music in 2023, the band has grown quickly through high energy performances that showcase their volume, intensity, and connection as performers. Crowds respond not only to the weight of the riffs and the immediacy of the songs, but also to the sense that the band is having as much fun onstage as anyone in the room.

Their music reflects a wide range of influences, yet everything is filtered through the same core approach. Play loud, play with purpose, and make songs that feel alive. Whether crafting originals or reimagining the tracks that shaped them, BLAZONER focuses on movement, emotion, and the thrill of a great groove hitting at full power.

BLAZONER continues to evolve as they write, record, and perform, always pushing toward a heavier, tighter, more expressive version of their sound. For the band, heavy music is more than a style. It is energy, teamwork, and a constant exploration of what three people can create when they trust every instinct and hold nothing back.

Beauty in Chaos shares 'Get Down Moses', a Joe Strummer tribute from new 2-track single

The always revolving, ever-evolving entity Beauty In Chaos presents 'Get Down Moses' from their latest double A-side single 'God's Gonna Cut You Down / Get Down Moses'.  This newest offering is BIC's own rendition of this much-loved Joe Strummer classic, the video for which was filmed and directed by Vicente Cordero (Industrialism Films).

Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Michael Rozon (Ministry, Jarboe, Wayne Hussey, The Melvins), this single was released via Los Angeles-based boutique imprint 33.3 Music Collective. BIC earlier shared the video for their enveloping, smokey rendition of the traditional gospel hymn 'God’s Gonna Cut You Down', popularized by Mr. Johnny Cash.

BIC curator Michael Ciravolo takes on duties as lead vocalist on both tracks in this release, in addition to guitars and percussion. On this track, he is joined by Rozon (bass, drum programming, synths, backing vocals) with backing vocals by Tish Ciravolo and Whitney Tai.

“As with 'God’s Gonna Cut You Down', I felt a spiritual calling to do this particular song. I think Joe’s lyrics are certainly "timely" and just as socially important as anything he ever did with The Clash," says Michael Ciravolo.

“We filmed this the day after we shot “God’s Gonna Cut you Down”, so it was nice to swing the pendulum to something a bit lighter. While this video looks like it was fun to make, it was certainly not meant to lessen the sting of Joe’s lyrical attack on governments, oppression and the Catholic church.  My ‘1977’ shirt, which I am sure Clash fans will notice, is my personal tribute to Joe Strummer”.

Beauty In Chaos has come a long way since LA-based guitarist Michael Ciravolo(formerly of Human Drama and Gene Loves Jezebel and current President of Schecter Guitars) launched this project in 2018. Over the years, BIC has involved members of The Cure, Ministry, Cheap Trick, The Offspring, Gene Loves Jezebel, Marilyn Manson, Human Drama, Bauhaus, Nine Inch Nails, Van Halen, A Flock of Seagulls and dUg Pinnick, ICE-T, Rolan Bolan and Zakk Wylde, among other luminaries.

The new single is available everywhere digitally, including Bandcamp and Beauty In Chaos' storewhere their latest two albums -- 'Dancing With Angels' and the remix companion ‘Signs In The Heavens Reality Upside Down’ -- can also be found.

East Nashville hard rock breakout KALAMITY KILLS has released its brand new single "HELP!" today through Pero Recordings. Recorded live in the studio with choice overdubs for impact, the track delivers a fierce reinterpretation of THE BEATLES classic. The band has rebuilt the song with their trademark intensity, emotional depth, and modern heaviness.

Produced and mixed by guitarist Jamey Perrenot, this new version of "HELP!" captures the urgency and vulnerability of the original while pushing it into a darker and more electrified space. Soaring vocals, heavy guitars, tight harmonies, and driving rhythms create a sound that feels both familiar and completely refreshed.

A new performance video also debuts today. The visual showcases the full band performing the track with raw energy and conviction, giving fans a direct look at the chemistry and spirit behind the release.

About KALAMITY KILLS

KALAMITY KILLS is a hard rock band forged in the heart of East Nashville, Tennessee. Formed in 2022 by vocalist Jamie Rowe and guitarist/producer Jamey Perrenot, the band emerged from the ashes of a solo project into a fully realized sonic assault—fueled by raw emotion, modern aggression, and a deep respect for rock’s roots. With a sound that fuses the swagger of classic hard rock with the intensity and polish of modern metal, KALAMITY KILLS strikes a rare balance between power and vulnerability.

Best known for their debut self-titled album Kalamity Kills, the band quickly turned heads thanks to high-profile collaborations with members of KORN, 3 DOORS DOWN, LA GUNS, CONQUER DIVIDE, and UNDEROATH. Their music has earned national airplay on SIRIUSXM’s Octane, landed on the Billboard Active Rock charts, and crossed over into viral success without ever chasing trends.

More than just a studio project, KALAMITY KILLS is a growing force with a full live lineup, including bassist/vocalist Julia Lauren Bullock and drummer Rob Bodley. Their songs—ranging from explosive anthems to brutally honest ballads—tackle themes of faith, failure, hypocrisy, redemption, and the messy beauty of being human.

Introducing Brian Burkheiser's Scatterbrain — WATCH + LISTEN

"To my fans:

This year forced me to pivot in ways I never expected, and it tested me more than I can explain. But through it all, your support has meant everything.

I'm excited to finally share a song with you. I chose this cover because it truly resonates with me and serves as a nod to what first sparked my career.

I'm still working toward the day I can release my original music, but for now, I'm grateful to have found a way to put a piece of art into the world."

ALL THE DAMN VAMPIRES Turn Benny Mardones' "Into The Night" Into A Gothic Midnight Tragedy

Los Angeles-based synthwave-meets-alternative-metal pioneers All The Damn Vampires drop their haunting reimagination of Benny Mardones' 1980 ballad "Into The Night" today, transforming the classic into a gothic midnight tragedy. The track arrives as the second single from the trio's highly anticipated debut album VICECORE, set for release February 4th, 2026. Fans can stream "Into The Night" HERE, watch the lyric video Below, and pre-orderVICECORE on vinyl HERE.

Founded, produced, mixed, and mastered by multi-instrumentalist Davey Oberlin - a longtime touring member of Korn who's also played in Winds of Plague and been a touring guitarist for Five Finger Death Punch - All The Damn Vampires builds on the original's tender vulnerability transmuting it into something altogether more sinister. Where Mardones delivered romantic yearning, Oberlin and powerhouse vocalist Ryan Rose conjure something darker: a fever dream of doomed love, violent transformation, and supernatural obsession.

"Our reimagining of 'Into The Night' takes the classic Benny Mardones ballad into darker, more goth metal-inspired territory," Oberlin explains. "A midnight race through the hills, a tragic crash, and a love that refuses to die.

One saved by fire. One saved by blood. Both forever changed."

The accompanying lyric video, created by Oberlin, features visuals inspired by classic choose-your-own-adventure books and offers cryptic glimpses into the song's reimagined narrative. Rather than spelling out the story, the video presents fragments of fever dream imagery that lets listeners connect the pieces and imagine their own ending. It's storytelling as much as sound design, inviting audiences into a world where love, death and immortality intertwine.

This mysterious story imagined by Oberlin, is the cinematic heartbeat of VICECORE, an album designed to evoke golden hour drives with the top down along the Pacific Coast Highway whilst ruminating on heartbreak and revenge. Recorded over 18 months, the album weaves completely reimagined covers of classic tracks (including Whitesnake's "Is This Love," Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight," and Cutting Crew's "(I Just) Died In Your Arms") with original songs, blurring the line between the two. The album features contributions from synthwave producer Sunglasses Kid on the title track, vocals from Jack Underkofler of Dead Poets Society on "Falling Into Darkness" plus guitar solos from virtuosos Andy James and Miles Dimitri Baker, who also rounds out the live lineup. The aesthetic draws from Miami Vice, hardcore merch culture, and Los Angeles gang imagery, filtered through Oberlin's deep love of film soundtracks ranging from The Goonies to John Carpenter's catalog, and a childhood spent obsessing over Type O Negative, Korn, and Alice in Chains.

All The Damn Vampires has already carved out a lane at the intersection of heavy music and visual media. The project's music has appeared in cult horror film Terrifier 2, while Oberlin's collaboration with Avenged Sevenfold on a reimagined version of "Ordinary", which he produced and co-wrote, debuted via a secret Fortnite puzzle, introducing the project to an entirely unexpected audience. With over 12.1 million cross-platform streams and 2.11 million YouTube views to date, All The Damn Vampires continues to build a world where retro can be cinematic, crushing, and heavy.

ABOUT ALL THE DAMN VAMPIRES

All The Damn Vampires is more than a music project. It’s a cinematic world crafted by musician and producer Davey Oberlin. Built on a foundation of synthwave, goth metal, and cinematic sound design, the project evokes neon‑drenched cityscapes, emotional storytelling, and an unapologetic embrace of retro‑futuristic aesthetics.

Oberlin’s musical pedigree adds depth to the project. Having performed and toured with legendary acts like Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, and Winds of Plague, he brings a unique perspective that fuses heavy music sensibilities with lush, melodic synth textures. This balance of grit and atmosphere has become a hallmark of All The Damn Vampires.

The project’s reach has extended into visual media, with its music featured in films such as the cult‑favorite Terrifier 2, connecting the sound of All The Damn Vampires with horror and synthwave subcultures worldwide.

Further elevating the project, Oberlin collaborated with Avenged Sevenfold on a reimagined version of their song “Ordinary.” Serving as both producer and co‑writer, he infused their track with his distinctive sonic vision, melding synth‑pop vibrancy with the band’s powerful rock identity.

Whether crafting immersive soundscapes or collaborating with some of the biggest names in modern music, All The Damn Vampires continues to push boundaries. Delivering beautifully evocative music that’s as cinematic as it is unique and unforgettable.

Ian Munsick Releases Ozzy Osbourne Tribute, “No More Tears (Live From Sturgis)”

While Ian Munsick has been critically celebrated by HITS Daily Double and The New Yorker for putting the “western back in country,” the Wyoming native is also known for genre-bending covers during his live show, showcasing his range of influences with his rendition of girl pop hits including Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso,” and classics such as Neil Young’s “Old Man.” Most recently, Munsick went viral for an Ozzy Osbourne tribute, performing “No More Tears” in honor of the rock legend who passed away earlier this year. Munsick knew he had something special due to fans’ reactions – and today is releasing his live recording of the song.

Listen to “No More Tears (Live From Sturgis)” Below

Ozzy’s influence on Munsick began at an early age, as Munsick recalls, “When I was 8 years old, I stumbled upon my older brother’s CD collection. I sneakily slid out a black colored album with a small tan cross on top and threw it in my walkman CD player (shout out the early 2000’s). One of the most iconic bass riffs of all time captured my ears right out of the gate, followed by the most recognizable voice in all of Rock n Roll. It was Ozzy’s 1991 hit song ‘No More Tears.’”

Doing the cover of “No More Tears” in Nebraska upon the singer’s death in July came together by happenstance. Munsick shares, “23 years later, I’m on stage sound checking in Kearney, Nebraska when out of the air and into my fingers comes that same iconic bass riff. My band quickly followed suit and we jammed a verse and chorus before moving on to our normal soundcheck routine. I headed back to the bus to catch a quick nap before the long night ahead when breaking news hit my phone… ‘RIP Ozzy.’ The universe was telling me to play that song that night, so we quickly worked up a fiddle heavy version of the heavy metal hit.

“As our 90 minute show was coming to end, I nervously looked at my drummer to count me in for our tribute to the Ozzman,” he adds. “The bass riff captured the country audience as they erupted with joy and sadness all at once. After the show, social media did its thing and made our cover of ‘No More Tears’ the most viral moment I’ve had thus far in my career. I knew we had to release a version exactly like the one we played in Nebraska that night. Luckily, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally was the following weekend... what better atmosphere to play some Ozzy? This time, we hit record.”

Munsick recently set The Eagle Flies Free Tour for 2026. Beginning February 13 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the tour will feature 17 dates with special guests Lanie Gardner, Ben Haggard, Tyler Nance and Jake Worthington, highlighting one of the most distinctive voices in modern country music – and his distinctive modern-Western style.

The follow up to his 2025 Eagle Feather album, Munsick’s The Eagle Flies Free Tour continues a streak of touring success for the native son of Sheridan, Wyoming – including a history making turn at the famous Cheyenne Frontier Days in July.

Headlining the iconic rodeo and Western lifestyle celebration, Munsick became the first Wyoming native to secure top-billing of the event’s musical lineup, playing songs from across his three albums – Coyote Cry, White Buffalo and Eagle Feather.

HENCE REINVENTS SOFT CELL’S ICONIC ‘SEX DWARF’ WITH A SURREAL, THEATRICAL TWIST.

Hence — the Anglo-Danish collective known for transforming coincidence into art — have released their latest single: a radical reimagining of Soft Cell’s cult classic ‘Sex Dwarf’. More than just a cover, Hence’s version is a full-scale reinvention. Where the original throbbed with sleaze and synth-driven menace, Hence lean into the decadent, surreal and theatrical. Layers of modular electronics collide with dark disco beats, while their signature universe of silver spheres, poodle masks, and modular chaos refracts the song into something at once familiar and entirely new. For Hence, the choice of ‘Sex Dwarf’ was not coincidence alone, but a chance to trace a line back to their synth heritage. “It’s about taking something iconic, shaking it loose and letting it mutate through our collective,” the band says. “Soft Cell’s original was already outrageous. We wanted to push it through our lens of absurdity and meaning — until it became both homage and subversion.”

The track follows Hence’s April 2025 release ‘Steadying The Ship’, which established the band’s reputation for existential lyricism and cinematic soundscapes. With ‘Sex Dwarf’, Hence showcases the other side of their DNA: playful provocation, theatrical excess and fearless reinvention.

“Hence is more than just a band,” they added. “It’s a community of chance. Every collaborator leaves a fingerprint and every accident is welcomed as part of the final work.”

Das Konductor makes his second appearance in the Hence universe - this time stepping forward not just as a spectral narrator but as a full vocal presence. On Hence’s radical reimagining, Das Konductor lends his unmistakable voice, twisting decadence into theatre, menace into play.

“We live in a time of sharp debates about what can and can’t be said. With Hence, we believe in the strength of artistically expressed absurdities. Borders can be set by politics but they are felt through the arts. What we love is how the unconventional inevitably turns us back toward the conventional, and vice versa. That interplay with life is, to us, the foundation of art.” – Knuth, Hence

With this performance Hence has shaped its provocative reinvention into something that is at once homage and subversion. Das Konductor also returns in ‘Jewels Of The Night’, delivering the spoken passages which introduce the forthcoming video with nocturnal poetry.

The album picked up major playlisting across Spotify, Apple, Amazon, and Pandora, and steamrolled support from SXM. Octane, Loudwire, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, Kerrang! Radio, Metal Hammer, Kerrang! THE HALO EFFECT - tear into WASP classic with new single “I Wanna Be Somebody”

Swedish metal powerhouse THE HALO EFFECT return with their electrifying new single – a blistering take on WASP’s 1984 anthem 'I Wanna Be Somebody'. The track, handpicked by guitar hero Jesper Strömblad, marks the band’s third cover version and continues their celebration of iconic heavy metal influences.

Alongside the single, the band proudly announce that these reinterpretations will culminate in a brand-new EP, We Are Shadows, set for release on November 21.
The new single is accompanied by a striking visualizer, further amplifying the raw energy of the track.

Jesper Strömblad reflects on the choice of song: “WASP’s aggressive sound and eccentric stage presence has always been fun. The shock of songs like ‘I Fuck Like a Beast’ and fun anthems like ‘I Wanna Be Somebody,’ and ‘L.O.V.E. Machine,’ are powerful and heavy. Extreme and dramatic, controversial and fun, WASP’s ‘I Wanna Be Somebody’, off their debut album, was my first introduction into the band”

With 'I Wanna Be Somebody',  THE HALO EFFECT once again channel their roots while shaping their own sonic path—setting the stage for We Are Shadows this fall.

Hooded Menace Cover Duran Duran

Since making their accursed debut in the late 2000s, Hooded Menace have paved the way for hordes of metal maniacs who enjoy headbanging to more creepily, crushing tempos. On their upcoming seventh album, the Finnish horror lovers still stand between two realms of the underground with the unshakable force of a pillar. But as uncovered by its new single's surprise twist, Lachrymose Monuments of Obscuration continues to break the mold that the band set for death-doom.

Today, Hooded Menace are releasing their cover of "Save a Prayer", the enduring smash from English new wavers Duran Duran. While the song's latest video is styled with gothic flair, when hammered by the band's blood-stained signature, this pop gem glows in a ghoulish new light.

MicroPitching and other effects aren't the only tricks of the trade that are pulled out from under Hooded Menace's cloak. Traditional death-doomers might have been pleasantly surprised by the band covering W.A.S.P., so imagine the delighted screams upon hearing a Top of the Pops' gem like "Save a Prayer" splattered in their signature blood-soaked dread. Lasse's riffs still cement the rock-solid foundation beneath Lachrymose Monuments of Obscuration, but even he was surprised when sculpting its lead single. What should appear from the double bass swirling amidst "Portrait Without a Face" but the moan of a cello. Like an echo from beyond the grave, the cry of strings reappears during the album's grand finale. Former live bassist Antti Poutanen sorrowfully saws as the band marches, gallops then sinks back "Into Haunted Oblivion".

On Lachyrmose Monuments of Obscuration, Hooded Menace cast death-doom in a ghostly new light.

Ray Luzier & Billy Sheehan Join KALAMITY KILLS on “I Don’t Know”

Rising rock force KALAMITY KILLS unleashes a bold and reverent take on “I Don’t Know” with their latest video release, featuring powerhouse drummer Ray Luzier (KORN) and legendary bassist Billy Sheehan (MR. BIG, THE WINERY DOGS). This electrifying reinterpretation of the classic track pays homage to the enduring legacy of the Prince of Darkness himself: OZZY OSBOURNE.

The idea for the tribute was sparked after the band witnessed OZZY’s final performance at the Back to the Beginning Concert in Birmingham, England. Deeply moved, KALAMITY KILLS set out to honor the icon who shaped so much of their musical DNA.

Guitarist JAMEY PERRENOT, whose playing is deeply influenced by the late, great RANDY RHOADS, infused this version of “I Don’t Know” with both reverence and fire. Fans of OZZY will also hear subtle nods to other classics woven throughout: a sonic Easter egg hunt for the diehards.

Special thanks to Ray Luzier and Billy Sheehan for joining the sonic rebellion on this one.

The release also comes with news that the Expanded Edition of Kalamity Kills will be available on September 9, 2025. This edition will include brand-new tracks, alternate mixes, and exclusive content on CD in limited quantities. A candy apple red vinyl edition is set to follow in April 2026.

KALAMITY KILLS is for the outsiders, the misfits, the ones who’ve been burned and are still standing. Loud. Unapologetic. Unforgettable.

RICK HUGHES DELIVERS A SPECTACULAR SOLO ALBUM WITH 'REDEMPTION,' REUNITES MEMBERS OF ONE OF OZZY'S BEST LINE-UPS FOR COVER OF THE WHO'S "THE REAL ME"

Canadian-born Rick Hughes is renowned for his powerful and rangey voice as the lead singer of the legendary metal band Sword, and of the hard-rock band Saints & Sinners. A seasoned performer with hundreds of headlining shows in Canada, America, Europe and Japan over the years, and his superb stage performances while opening for bands such as Metallica, Motorhead, Alice Cooper, Black Label Society, etc.

So when it was time for him to record ‘’Redemption’’, his first international solo album, he spared no expenses and efforts to make this album a great one, hiring producer John Webster (Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, AC/DC, etc.) and renting HippoSonic Recording Studio (formerly known as Little Mountain Studios) in Vancouver to record this opus.

The first salvo is came out September 5, 2025, and it is quite an event in itself: his first single and video is a supercharged version of The Who’s classic ‘’The Real Me’’ - reuniting after 43 years Ozzy Osbourne’s superband consisting of Brad Gillis on guitar, Rudy Sarzo on bass, and Tommy Aldridge on drums. This is the band that did the last leg of the ‘’Diary of a Madman Tour’’ in 1982 after the tragic departure of the great Randy Rhoads, and that then recorded Ozzy’s classic live album ‘’Speak of the Devil’’.

"The Real Me" video can be viewed below , while the single can be streamed at https://push.fm/ps/ilgjszby.

Pick up the Limited Edition Bundle (100 copies) that includes a collectible 7” vinyl of the “Real Me” signed by Rick Hughes, Brad Gillis, Tommy Aldridge, and Rudy Sarzo.

The resulting sound is epic, and so is the spectacular video that was shot and directed by Matthew Lucas (Kringle Time, Moonshot, We Meet Again, etc.) at the state-of-the-art L.A. Castle Studios, with post and editing by Montreal’s Jean-Marc Laurin (Jurassic World, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Game of Thrones, Assassin's Creed, etc.).

''The Real Me stands as a cornerstone of my album 'Redemption'," says Rick. "As a lifelong fan of The Who, I wanted to pay tribute to the golden age of 70s rock. To capture that spirit, I brought together a true supergroup with Tommy Aldridge, Rudy Sarzo and Brad Gillis, a unique moment where legends unite to breathe new life into a classic.''

"This very special song is part of the upcoming Rick Hughes Album 'Redemption,' a collection of great rock songs to be released on Friday, October 24 2025 on CD, Vinyl, and Digital format worldwide by Deko Entertainment, and featuring more great collaborations with some famous musicians.

Included are 2 more songs featuring the superb songwriting and inspired guitar playing of the great Brad Gillis, another featuring the extraordinary talent of The Door’s legendary guitarist Robby Krieger, and great contributions from rock royalty Lee Aaron, vocal powerhouse Amy Keys (Ringo Starr, Phil Collins, Toto, Sting, Stevie Wonder, etc.), rising guitar hot shot Jacob Deraps, as well as Rick’s gifted sister, Lulu Hughes.

With its great performances, 'Redemption' is a very special and unique rock album that brings together 7 songs in English, 1 bilingual and 2 songs in French.

Zetra shine their light upon it.
Charlotte shines her beauty back."

Zetra's new digital EP 'Believe' is out now, listen HERE
The 5-track, goth-pop masterpiece includes focus track and EP opener 'The Angel Cries', new wave infused single 'The Spider' and sparkly, shoe-gaze number 'So'.

Walk blindly into the future.
Be led by faith.

BRAINSTORM Release New Single & Visualiser Video "The Boys Of Summer"

Still riding on the wave of success caused by their 2025 album Plague Of Rats (February 28, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music; DE #13, SE #13, AT #41, CH #42, GR #50), Southern German heavy/power metallers BRAINSTORM use the final weeks of the warm season by having a creative stopover at the beach on their way back from the myth-enshrouded Indus world. Today, they present nothing but a metalled-up take on DON HENLEY’s classic track "The Boys Of Summer" to their fans.

The track was recorded during BRAINSTORM’s Plague Of Rats sessions in 2024, and the timing of its release couldn’t be more fitting as the group have entered the final stages of this year’s festival season.

Vocalist Andy B. Franck adds: “Even though ‘The Boys Of Summer’ deals with rather nostalgic themes of ‘summer love’ and the memory of a past relationship, for me - at the time a 13-year-old - it was, beyond the metal anthems of the 80s, a great song that I associated with summer, girls and the corresponding feeling for many, many years. DON HENLEY and the EAGLES are simply awe-inspiring. Even today, this song still evokes great memories for me, and since it’s also a song about questioning the past, this track fits perfectly into our times. I’m proud that we recorded it, and maybe it will be part of a show soon. People will love it and then share memories with this, our version!”

But the metal world doesn’t have to worry - the band are far from resting on their latest laurels: Behind the curtain, BRAINSTORM have been working on extending their 2025/2026 Plague Of Rats touring cycle, and the announcement of more live dates following their confirmation for the next edition of Summer Breeze Open Air (Dinkelsbühl, Germany) is really just a matter of time… Stay tuned!

BRAINSTORM remain a vital force in the metal scene, seamlessly blending traditional elements with modern influences in their latest work, Plague Of Rats. Drawing inspiration from the rich and mystical narratives of ancient Indian civilization, this album delivers an energetic line-up of tracks devoid of slow songs or ballads, fully embodying the band’s dynamic and robust metal style. Expertly crafted with the collaboration of Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann (ORDEN OGAN, ANGUS McSIX) for mixing and mastering at Greenman Studios, and featuring striking artwork by Gyula Havancsák (DESTRUCTION, KREATOR, GRAVE DIGGER etc.) and photography by Alex Kühr, Plague Of Rats offers ten compelling new tracks that transport listeners to the captivating worlds of India and beyond.

THE JOTUNN Present Cover of "Suicide Nation"

Melodic death quintet THE JOTUNN present a ferocious take on AT THE GATES's "Suicide Nation". The ensemble from Ohio, US, cultivate an intense sonic experience by compiling symphonic elements on top of melodic death metal and melodic deathcore: "We really like to wear our influences on our sleeve and let those influences breathe life in to songs that can stand on their own." "Suicide Nation" is the first of a tripart offering landing over the summer of 2025.

"AT THE GATES is a HEAVY influence for this band", vocalist Paul Kahan explains. "Slaughter of the Soul is a defining album for us as listeners and players. We along with so many other bands have used this album as a blueprint for how melodic metal should sound for a long time.

Kahan also has a personal connection with "Suicide Nation". Kahan recalls the first time he heard the track: "I was absolutely blown away. I remember that being a really pivotal moment for me personally with music. It became one of my favorite songs of all time and I remember in the back of my head that if I ever had the opportunity to do a cover this would be the first one I pitched. I basically begged the band to do it."

About THE JOTUNN:
Based out of Cleveland and Columbus Ohio, THE JOTUNN formed in 2021 after guitarist and songwriter Shawn Kahan presented a number of demos to Paul Kahan. Soon producer Cole Martinez (ABIGAIL WILLIAMS, WHITECHAPEL, ABORTED) was on board taking up the role of bassist and producer of their music. Nick Amato (ATOMIC WITCH) performed drums on the band's debut album Graveworshipper (2022), prior to Adam Biats joining the line-up. The outfit was awarded the Columbus Artist Grant in 2023, and subsequently in 2025. THE JOTUNN's EP Summoner arrived in 2024, and is set to be followed in 2025 by two cover releases and a new original track. Cole left the band in June 2025 on good terms, leading to the arrival of Leo Debevc on guitar and Londyn Hager on bass.
