Eclectic Guitarist Eric Steckel Drops "When It Rains, It Pours" Video

Eclectic American guitarist and singer Eric Steckel, who traffics in blues, rock, and metal, has signed to SPV Recordings and returns with new single "When It Rains, It Pours."

"'When It Rains, It Pours,' the first single from my upcoming 2026 album, is my sonic declaration that storms are meant to be weathered, not avoided," says Steckel. "It's both a reflection of my own life and career, as well as a testament to resilience and tenacity, even when —especially when — storms are on the horizon. It serves as a reminder to us all that we can find strength in the storm itself. When the rain comes, as it inevitably does, some seek shelter. Others choose to stand tall and let the storm reveal their inner strength. 'When It Rains, It Pours' is the musical reminder to channel that strength!"

Watch the video below.

The song starts with a powerful drum fill and continues to impress with a strong guitar riff, a screaming Hammond organ and a driving groove. Eric Steckel has toured worldwide sharing the billing with Steve Vai, Gregg Allman, Johnny Winter, John Mayall, Ray Charles, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, and others and was voted into Total Guitar magazine's list of "The 100 Greatest Blues Guitarists of All Time" and named one of "10 Future Blues Stars" by Guitar Player.

In an era where pedalboards, laptops and samples have become commonplace, Eric Steckel goes against the grain and harkens his listeners back to the days when great guitars were played loudly through great amps. Hailed by many as the top rising star of blues/rock, Steckel delivers a powerhouse performance that has left audiences in 30 countries (and counting) mesmerized. He brings an energy and passion to the stage that never disappoints and his signature blend of Bluesmetal is a must see for fans of guitar-based rock. Steckel has shared the stage with and/or opened for iconic legends such as Ray Charles, Steve Vai, Gregg Allman, B.B. King, John Mayall, and Johnny Winter. Road-tested and seasoned from 23 years on stage and in the studio, Steckel delivers his signature blend of "blues metal" to appreciative guitar lovers worldwide.

Just in time for the single release, Eric Steckel is embarking on an extensive European tour.

Dayseeker Have "Bloodlust" — WATCH + LISTEN

Fresh off an epic performance in front of tens of thousands of rabid fans at Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky this past weekend, Southern California's DAYSEEKER  Rory Rodriguez [vocals], Gino Sgambelluri [guitar], Ramone Valerio [bass], and Zac Mayfield [drums] — have released the visualizer for "Bloodlust."

Watch and listen below

"'Bloodlust' is one of the more eerie and chaotic tracks on the record. It's about people in your life who want to metaphorically drain the blood from you — those you can't trust and don't belong in your life,' says Rodriguez.

The track is the band's newest single from the upcoming album Creature In The Black Night, out October 24 via Spinefarm. Pre-save it here.

Produced by Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Silent Planet) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Blink-182, Bring Me The Horizon, Lorna Shore), the album is Dayseeker's most immersive and intentional record to date — eerie, cinematic, and threaded with a dark (and sexy) emotional current.

While not a concept album in the traditional sense, Creature in the Black Night exhibits thematic cohesion, from its shadowy visual identity, Grim Reaper iconography, and ominous atmosphere, to how its songs unfold like chapters. "There’s a horror-inspired vibe that took hold early on," Rodriguez explains. "It wasn't planned. But once it started showing up in the songs, we leaned into it."

Fans expecting a sorrowful descent into depression might be surprised — Creature In The Black Night has sharper edges, heavier riffs, and a newfound sense of clarity. "There was this idea that we'd get more and more commercial over time," Rodriguez says. "But I think the opposite happened — we're riffing more, I'm screaming more. And it feels good. It feels honest."

Dayseeker hasn’t just evolved. They've ascended.

Dayseeker will spend the rest of 2025 on tour. They are serving as support for both Ice Nine Kills and In This Moment through the fall. All dates are below.

DAYSEEKER ON TOUR:
SUPPORTING IN THIS MOMENT:

The Acacia Strain Drop Video for "SWAMP MENTALITY"

THE ACACIA STRAIN  — Vincent Bennett, vocals; Devin Shidaker, lead guitar; Griffin Landa, bass; Mike Mulholland, guitar; and Matt Guglielmo, drums — will unleash their new album You Are Safe From God Here. It arrives on October 24 via Rise Records. Pre-order it here.

"This record unapologetically The Acacia Strain; take that however you want," the band declared upon announcement. "It's angry, it's sad, it's us. We made a record that made us feel uncomfortable. We hope it makes you feel the same way."

Uncomfortable isn't a bad thing. Discomfort challenges you to expand yourself and it can transform you.

The Acacia Strain have today shared the video for new single "SWAMP MENTALITY."

Watch it Below.

"The swamp is a place of rot, death, and decay; but it is also ripe with life and regeneration," the band says. "You are safe from God in the points of darkness and decomposition. Seek your sanctuary. No one leaves the swamp."

For a new release from The Acacia Strain, expect an uncompromising sonic assault that further solidifies their reign as titans of extreme music. This latest offering delves deeper into the crushing territories of sludge, doom, and death metal, while retaining the raw, unbridled aggression of their hardcore punk roots.

Lyrically, frontman Vincent Bennett once again navigates the bleak landscapes of misanthropy, nihilism, and existential dread, delivering his venomous pronouncements with unflinching intensity. Fans can anticipate a relentless barrage of bone-shattering breakdowns, cavernous riffs, and a palpable sense of impending doom that has become synonymous with The Acacia Strain's destructive sound.

Following their innovative dual release of Step Into The Light and Failure Will Follow in 2023, which showcased both their traditional shorter, pulverizing tracks and their expansive, sludgier compositions, this new album promises to push the boundaries of their established ferocity while maintaining the unparalleled heaviness their dedicated fanbase craves. Prepare for an auditory experience that is as punishing as it is profound, a testament to The Acacia Strain's enduring legacy in the realm of extreme metal.

Kreator Announce New Album "Krushers of the World" Out January 2026 + Release Video for New Single "Seven Serpents"

Metal titans KREATOR have announced that their sixteenth studio album, KRUSHERS OF THE WORLD, will be released on January 16 via Nuclear Blast Records. Following the recent releases of the KREATOR documentary film Hate & Hope as well as Your Heaven, My Hell, the autobiography of frontman Mille Petrozza, KRUSHERS OF THE WORLD will be the next step in the evolution of KREATOR — a band that is still at its peak more than forty years into their career.

KRUSHERS OF THE WORLD is not a shy title, it is a statement, an expression of pride and self-awareness knowing how long and hard the band's path has been and knowing what they still have to say and share with their ever-growing following. After the buzz around the movie and book, it is time for KREATOR to let the riffs, the roaring vocals, and thunderous drums do the talking.

Rounded off by a triumphant production courtesy of Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios, who previously worked with the group on Phantom Antichrist (2012) and Gods Of Violence (2017), KREATOR return in perfect shape. The stunning cover artwork was created by none other than Polish genius Zbigniew Bielak (Ghost).

Furthermore, KREATOR have announced a massive EU and UK Headline tour with Carcass, Exodus and Nails for March and April 2026.

Mille Petrozza commented, "We are beyond excited to kick off the new year with the release of our brand-new album KRUSHERS OF THE WORLD, dropping January 16. But that's not all! On March 20, we're hitting the road to bring you our biggest tour production ever. This will be a night of unrelenting metal mayhem, featuring our brothers-in-arms Carcass, Exodus, and the mighty Nails. This marks an exciting new chapter for the band, and we can't wait for you to experience the new music live, plus a selection of classic Kreator, old and new. Hail to the hordes! \m/."

Alongside the album and tour announcement, KREATOR have unleashed a krushing new single called "Seven Serpents," accompanied by a cinematic music video, which you can watch below.

ABOUT KREATOR:
When KREATOR's earliest incarnation formed under the influence of Kiss and Judas Priest in the early '80s none of the above was thinkable. For young adults, Essen, back then a 600k-plus city in the Ruhr area, was a grim place. Unemployment rates were surging, houses had been blackened by smoke from factories and coal mines, for some alcohol and drug abuse were the only escape route from this dismal, post-industrialized backdrop.

A novelty to Krushers Of The World is immediately obvious when staring at its cover. With Zbigniew Bielak, renowned for his work for Ghost, art and design offer an interesting twist to KREATOR’s history. Transforming classic visual trademarks dedicated fans will recognize from Coma Of Souls (1990), Out of the Dark... into the Light (1988) and Pleasure To Kill (the font!) into a highly detailed tapestry garnered with occult symbolism, Bielak crafted an outstanding piece paying homage to a band he loves since his teenager days yet with a daring and unique flair. The cover of Krushers Of The World rewards everyone willing to analyze the grandiose sleeve design.

In essence, Krushers Of The World is of course not a throwback to KREATOR's past, it is furious, massive sounding and creative in its own right, gifted with a songwriting quality honed over years. It displays a band which earned its spot among the giants of the genre, and developed its youthful anger further into a professional, internationally successful, nonetheless intimidating creature. Krushers Of The World underlines the fact that fueled by the reflective look at their own legacy sparked by 2025's Hate & Hope movie, KREATOR nowadays appear more mindful of their early days while simultaneously progressing uncompromisingly, unstoppable in their search for new realms to conquer and new worlds to krush.

Breaking Benjamin's Keith Wallen Is "Dead Inside" in New Video

BREAKING BENJAMIN guitarist KEITH WALLEN dropped his latest solo album Infinity Now last year via Rise Records. Get it here

The artist continues to release new singles and today, he delivers the video for his latest unforgettable anthem "Dead Inside."

Watch the video below

It's a tightly shot visual that matches the energy and tension of the song.

"Sometimes, life can feel like a bad dream," Wallen offers about the song.

Earlier this summer, Wallen delivered his gorgeous take on Avril Lavigne's contemplative classic "I'm With You." Watch the video here. Prior to that, Wallen shared the standalone single "Us Against the World." Watch the video here

ABOUT KEITH WALLEN:
Keith Wallen is a prolific songwriter responsible for soaring melodies and hypnotic hooks heard across modern rock radio. The West Virginia-born troubadour uses his solo work as a vehicle to explore his multifaceted passions, moving seamlessly from the smart pop of '80s favorites like The Police and Depeche Mode to the big moody riffs of '90s grunge heroes like Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots.

His co-writing collaborations include compositions with Saint Asonia, Fuel, We Came As Romans, Red, Dorothy, and Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch's Love And Death. Wallen bares his soul as a solo artist with earnest resolve, powering his honest anthems with commanding vocals.

A former member of Adelitas Way, Keith was among his first calls when Benjamin Burnley decided to reform and reconfigure his band. Dark Before Dawn, Breaking Benjamin's powerhouse comeback, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Ember followed in 2018.

Keith's self-produced acoustic and piano-driven Allies EP arrived in 2014. His debut solo album, 2021'sThis World Or The Next, featured "Dream Away," a song streamed 1.4M times on Spotify alone. His second solo album, Infinity Now, includes production and co-writing contributions from Kevin Thrasher (RIVALS, Jelly Roll) and work with Dan Braunstein (Spiritbox, Dayseeker) and Andrew Baylis (Sleeping With Sirens, Jelly Roll, Brantley Gilbert).

Produced by Kevin Thrasher (Jelly Roll, RIVALS) and mixed by Joel Wanasek (Rain City Drive, Scott Stapp), Keith's sophomore solo album, Infinity Now, extends a warm invitation into the singer/songwriter's heart and mind. Hard rock bombast meets intimate pensiveness via engaging songs like "Blackout," "Strings," and first single, "Headspace Holiday."

As guitarist for Breaking Benjamin, a solo artist or songwriting collaborator, the common threads through Keith Wallen's work are honesty, authenticity, and heartfelt spirit.

ARISING EMPIRE MEDIA ALERT: The Dark.FM Unleash New Single

Los Angeles outfit The Dark.FM are back with their most uncompromising track yet — the razor-sharp and magnetic new single "[zippermouth]."

"We've always just sort of done whatever we wanted," the band's Craig Johns explains. "But whatever little voice was in there saying 'Make sure the core kids like it' just wasn't there this time. So '[zippermouth]' in a way is our first 100% The Dark.FM track. As a singer, it's more of what I like to do, than just what I'm capable of, and as a producer, it’' both."

The band calls the track "late night metal" and even "Keanu Reeves metal" — a neon-soaked sound built on immediacy, lust, secrecy, and impatience. "'[zippermouth]' is all of the former and none of the latter," the band adds. "But listen to that bridge though. Drum machine goes crazy."

With their debut The Dark EP surpassing 2.5 million streams worldwide, The Dark.FM have already carved a name for themselves. In the brief time since their formation, they've hit Warped Tour, headlined four shows in Germany, and delivered a full showcase at Reeperbahn Festival 2025.

With "[zippermouth]," The Dark.FM push further into their own territory: dangerous, restless, and entirely their own.

ARISING EMPIRE MEDIA ALERT: Aviana Unleash New Single

AVIANA continue their unstoppable ascent with the release of their brand new single "WORLDS PULSE," featuring a breathtaking violin and vocal  performance by IMMINENCE frontman Eddie Berg. The track marks the official launch of pre-orders for their new album VOID, set for release on October 31.

Fronted by Joel Holmqvist, AVIANA have evolved into a forward-thinking heavy act, combining thunderous breakdowns, cinematic soundscapes, and raw emotion into a sound that is both punishing and unforgettable. ANKOR Share "Madara" Video

ANKOR are an alternative metal band based in Catalonia, Spain, fast becoming one of the rising stars in the European contemporary metal scene.

Today, they have shared the video for new single "MADARA." Watch it below

"Imagine living in your perfect world for eternity…but knowing the real world outside is dying," the band offers about the deeper meaning of the song. "An endless dream, no war, no pain, but no freedom or voice. Would you be a part of Madara's dream?"

What choice would YOU make?

The multicultural quintet, consisting of vocalist Jessie Williams (Bristol, UK), drummer Eleni Nota (Athens, Greece), guitarists David Romeu, Fito Martinez, and bassist Julio López (Catalonia, Spain), have grown steadily since their origins in Els Pallaresos, a village near Barcelona, back in 2003.

From these humble beginnings, Ankor have built a worldwide fanbase and a reputation for being an absolute powerhouse live, through headlining tours of mainland Europe and Asia. But it was with the December 2022 release of breakthrough single "Prisoner" that a new era begun.

With over three million streams and counting, "Prisoner" has triggered a sonic and aesthetic (r)evolution for Ankor, their musical and visual worlds ascending to new creative heights ever since; The conceptually bound singles "Oblivion," "Darkbeat," "Stereo," and "Venom" that have followed have seen lyrical narratives, sonic aesthetics, and self-directed and edited music videos flow together to reshape Ankor in a playful, energetic, and refreshing new form: a fusion of Asian pop-culture, contemporary metalcore, and a dash of Spanish heritage.

The band previously shared the single (and first for UNFD) "Embers."

Excide Share Visualizer for New Single "Pariah"

EXCIDE  Tyler Washington, Gill Gonzalez, Gage Lanza, Caleb Hogue, and Jacob Paris — recently announced their second album Bastard Hymns. It arrives November 28 via SharpTone Records. Pre-order it here.

Today, the band has issued the visualizer for new single "Pariah." Watch it below.

Washington shares, "Lyrically, 'Pariah' is sort of an inward look back to when I was growing up. Not ever really fitting in anywhere or with anyone, wrangling with the religion and politics of your own family and friends, and sort of losing hope at a point that you’ll ever find where you're supposed to be."

He continues, "The song itself was such an unexpected outcome. Originally, we wrote the big chorus hook first, sort of aiming to nail down a 'radio rock' song. After ditching the idea of what it SHOULD be, we came back to the idea (with Austin Coupe) and just started piecing it together naturally. That lead to so many cool things, like the weirdly-timed two-step riff, lots of acoustic guitar layers, and my favorite being the big Soundgarden-esque bridge section that features my favorite vocal take to date."

He finishes, "I think it's fitting the way this song stands on its own: Matching the vibe of the lyrics and hopefully being a welcome little sonic detour."

Bastard Hymns is the logical next step from the band's debut album, Deliberate Revolver. "Having felt like we accomplished what we came to do on the first record, there were no guidelines or barriers around where we were to go next. This opened up so many avenues for our creativity and exploration. We were lucky enough to begin working with SharpTone the following year, which put the band back in gear and opened up new possibilities for the path forward."

Sonically, the band was inspired by the grooves and energy of late '90s post-hardcore bands such as Cast Iron Hike and Snapcase, while siphoning melody and textural elements much the same as Quicksand and Cave In. The band was not afraid to shift gears a bit and take influence from the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden, and Failure, which, Excide admit, " allowed us to really push the sonic needle into uncharted territory, even further accentuated by Austin Coupe's co-writing and production."

Overall, the album is a "fuzzy, rocky, groovy, angry record. Seeped in the woes of growing up in a hillbilly hellscape, and living to tell the tale. The result was Bastard Hymns."

During 2020, Excide initially introduced a boundary-breaking signature style gestated across projects such as Two of a Kind and Actualize/Radiation Reel. Two years later, momentum picked up on the heels of their independent full-length debut, Deliberate Revolver, which incited the applause of Brooklyn Vegan, Revolver, and more. They caught the attention of Sharptone Records and inked a deal with the label. In 2024, their next era ramped up in earnest with the two-pack Humdinger, including "Dis(re)member" and "All Down (But 9)." Right away, Stereogum raved, "Both of its tracks go hard," and NO ECHO marveled at how "the band's dynamic blend of '90s-flavored hardcore and propulsive post-hardcore rhythms has shined brightly on each of their releases."

Silly Goose Are "Split" With New Video

Buzzy rap x rock news-and-noisemakers Silly Goose are back with an album full of hard rock party jams. As is always the case with the Goose, they don't simply crash the party. They take over the party.

Their new album Keys to the City will arrive on October 17 via Blue Grape Music. Pre-order it here.

Today, Silly Goose shared the video for new single "Split." Watch it below

The song is a bit of a sonic departure for the Goose, who are known for their hands-in-the-air, good-time-all-the-time anthems. Of course it features their signature grooves and rap x rock style, but with a bit more melancholic and moodily melodic vibe, thus showing off the band's dynamics and unexpected vulnerability.

"It's one of the outliers, and it showcases a different side of what we're capable of," singer Jackson Foster states. "The raps are more laidback and low-key, and the hook is sing-y. It's a song about not being ready to move on."

Silly Goose are touring through 2025, supporting Landmvrks this fall, along with headline dates in December. The band will headline shows in Europe in November, and support Hot Milk on select dates.

"At its core, 'Too Little Too Late' is about being in a dark place and realizing that help or comfort often arrives only after the damage is done," the band shares. "It's about wrestling with that helpless feeling of something constantly pulling you down, making you feel less like yourself every day."

Since 2016, Downswing have steadily evolved into a powerhouse of modern metal and groove. The group's current incarnation emphasizes big choruses, bigger breakdowns, atmosphere, and emotion. "This is the first time it feels like we're doing exactly what we want," says vocalist Harrison Seanor, who joined the band in 2020. "We're not chasing any specific trend or scene. We’'e Downswing."

Downswing are comprised of Seanor, guitarist Anthony Salvaggio, bassist Chris Arnold, and drummer Nick Manzella. Created with a focus on clarity and impact, And Everything Was Dark builds on the sonic foundation of their earlier work while boldly venturing into new territory. Gargantuan riffs and breakdowns intertwine with massive hooks, textures, and lyrics that resonate deeper than ever before. Downswing formed in 2018 and quickly made waves with their unique blend of metallic hardcore aggression and groove-driven heaviness. Early releases, such as the Dark Side of the Mind EP (2017) and Good Intentions (2020), cultivated a dedicated following in the underground and earned the band a reputation for high intensity. In a glowing 9/10 review, New Transcendence said 2022's New Lows EP "packs a hefty punch" and "a stellar appetizer to whatever is up next in the band's bright future." The Let This Life Devour You EP arrived in 2024.

Downswing are touring this September, opening for He Is Legend, who are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their Suck Out the Poison album. All dates are below. The band will return to the road in November, supporting Great American Ghost and appearing alongside Wristmeetrazor and Saltwound. All dates are here.

Varials Return With Video for New Single "I'll Find the Dark" + It Slays

Philadelphia's VARIALS — Skyler Conder, vocals; Shane Lyons, guitar; Mike Foley, bass; Sean Rauchut, drums — have erected a massive, impenetrable, and intimidating wall of sound with "I'll Find the Dark," their first new song since 2022.

Watch the video below.

It's also the first track to feature formidable new frontman Conder, who shares that the song is about "ending it all abruptly."

Squalling feedback, deathcore growls that sound as though they originated in the deepest recesses of hell, and violent, and riffs that sound like detonations are the hallmarks of "I'll Find the Dark." It's heavier than a slab of granite and a welcome return for a revamped and revitalized Varials.

"'I'll Find the Dark' lyrically tries to captivate the overall theme of being consumed by pain throughout existence," says Conder. "The idea was for the instruments to be just as aggressive as the vocals and lyrics of the song itself. The track tries to express the emotional distress of feeling lost within yourself, being terrified of existence and living, as well as trying to overcome some sense of grief and heartache."

Shane Lyon furthers, "The idea was to build a wall of sound that suffocates the listener."

Suffocation has never sounded so good.

This is just the opening salvo from the new and improved VARIALS. More music is on the way. And it's going to be just as vicious.

VARIALS will embark on a tour of Australia with Spite.

ABOUT VARIALS:
Philadelphia's Varials seamlessly alternate between moments of crushing power and melodic poise, unlocking harmony in the middle of opposite poles. So much so that Decibel once raved that "Varials have their own modern spin on hybridizing metal and hardcore into a powerful new amalgam." The band — newly comprised of Skyler Conder (vocals); Shane Lyons (guitar); Mike Foley (bass); and Sean Rauchut (drums) — consistently sharpen their signature style with searing intensity, uncontainable energy, and incredible creativity. Varials began to build their fanbase with Pain Again [2017] and In Darkness [2019]. The latter yielded "Romance," which amassed 21 million streams and counting. Varials next delivered a dose of controlled chaos like with their third full-length, 2022's Scars For You To Remember. Over the course of Varials' career thus far, the band has hit the road with the likes of Wage War, Kublai Khan, and more, holding its own with some of the genre's heaviest hitters and earning its right to be named among the best. Varials' upcoming fourth full-length looks to be the band's most brutal effort yet.

Igorrr Release "Daemoni" Video

French multi-instrumentalist and producer Gautier Serre has been operating under the name Igorrr for 20 years now, yet each new record still resounds with a startling freshness and radical vitality. Steadfastly unclassifiable fifth album AMEN maintains this impact, blindsiding the listener with a new set of exploratory curveballs and continuing to surprise and unnerve even the most attuned enthusiast.

AMEN is out now via Metal Blade. Get it here.

The record features guest appearances from by Scott Ian (Anthrax), Trey Spruance (Mr. Bungle), and Mike Leon (Soulfly)

Today, Igorrr drops the video for "DAEMONI." Watch it Below.

"The Earth has a demon inside it," the artist states. "The bright side attempted to convert it but didn't succeed, and the gong marked the end of all hope. You can hear the demon's heart. You can hear the ceremony for it to wake up. You can hear the mud and the dirt. You can also hear, with such great strength, the bright side of life fighting before it was destroyed by evil."

IGORRR will tour Europe this fall with Master Boot Records and Imperial Triumphant. The artist plans to return to the U.S. to play live in 2026. Stay tuned for more.

ABOUT IGORRR:
Since signing to Metal Blade in 2017, the Igorrr name has expanded from one man's pseudonym to become a full group identity, but Gautier remains the project's guiding light and mastermind, so he's the best man to ask to describe the indescribable. "This album is definitely darker than its predecessors, it has such a very weighty and solemn vibe that has never been reached before in Igorrr," explains Gautier. "The fact that I recorded a real choir in a church helped this a lot, but above all there has been very long and meticulous work on the sound and the choice of instruments, and deep experimental research to create a unique sound design. Of course, because it's an Igorrr album, there are some more colorful tracks, like 'Blastbeat Falafel,' 'ADHD...' They contrast very much with the ambient heaviness. I need tracks like these on an album, it helps to really get through it fully focused, like a shot of limoncello before the next meal."

With an urge to continually take Igorrr's multifaceted and challenging sound further forward with each release, Gautier has spent a lot of time cultivating multiple new modes and methods of working since 2020's breathtaking, critically acclaimed opus Spirituality And Distortion — which even reached No. 12 on the official German album chart. Gautier has always made clear that Igorrr is as much about the influence of Bach and Chopin as it is about Cannibal Corpse, Aphex Twin, and Meshuggah, but the source of specific stimuli gets harder to ascertain as the process is refined. "It's always difficult for me to know from where the inspiration comes," he muses. "Music is an expression of life, and I would say everything, even what seems the most insignificant thing, can be a source of inspiration. I would say there hasn’t been one event or one experience that has lead me on a creative process, it's more like a cumulation of everything. I love making music, my brain processes music all the time. You cannot imagine the amount of albums and concertos I create during my sleep. The challenge is more how to sort these ideas to keep the ones with the best potential, the ones that I won't get bored of, the ones that I really Love — with a big letter L."

ABOUT GREYHAVEN:
Greyhaven tap into the sound of truths unleashed — messy in its disjointed and extreme edges, magnetic in its  melodies, and massive in its emotional outpour. The group has remained a singular presence since their 2013 arrival. Tallying millions of streams, they naturally progressed over the course of Empty Black[2018], This Bright and Beautiful World [2022], and the Stereo Grief EP [2024]. The band incited tastemaker applause from Brooklyn Vegan, New Noise Magazine, OnesToWatch, Revolver, and Outburn, who highlighted their "tight, polished sound with the energy of the band’s camaraderie shining through." They've toured with the likes of Silverstein, The Devil Wears Prada, Better Lovers, and more. The Louisville, KY band sonically and personally lay everything on the table with their third full-length album, Keep It Quiet [Solid State Records]. Throughout 2024, the musicians constructed what would become the album, collaborating with producer Will Putney [Body Count, Knocked Loose Bad Omens]. During the sessions, they widened their sonic palette.

Edenbridge Release "Cosmic Embrace" Video From Upcoming Album "Set The Dark On Fire"

With their 12th studio album Set The Dark On Fire and their return to the Steamhammer label, Edenbridge explore new soundscapes without abandoning their tried-and-tested trademarks. This is primarily due to a significantly heavier basic sound, which harmonizes perfectly with the lyrical and visual direction of the Austrian quintet featuring singer Sabine Edelsbacher and composer/guitarist/keyboardist Lanvall.

The songs are characterized by harmonic and structural diversity. Powerful riffs and expansive guitar solos meet opulent, symphonic orchestral arrangements and unusual string instruments rarely used in metal, such as the dulcimer, swarmandal, monochord, and electric sitar. Edelsbacher's warm, distinctive timbre lends the compositions a high level of recognition.

The opener "The Ghostship Diaries" captivates with its multi-layered chorus and a heavy, doomy finale. The ballad "Bonded By The Light" unfolds cinematic grandeur and would also shine as the title track for a certain British secret agent. "Lighthouse," including the intro "Divine Dawn Reveal," exudes a flair, while the pounding mid-tempo track "Our Place Among The Stars" surprises with a gospel-like finale. The album's centerpiece is the 13-minute, four-part long track "Spark Of The Everflame," which impressively summarizes the entire spectrum of the Edenbridge sound.

The debut single "Cosmic Embrace" captivates with its enormous hit count and skillfully ramps up the tempo in its orchestral middle section. The accompanying video captivates with impressive imagery: The labyrinth symbolizes the path to inner contemplation. The energy gathered thereby culminates in blazing fire — a metaphor for transformation and the uplifting connection with solar energy. Image and sound merge into an emotional wave that deeply touches the listener/viewer.

Watch the "Cosmic Embrace" video below.

Set The Dark On Fire  will be released on January 16, 2026 through Steamhammer as CD digipak, 2LP gatefold version, and digital and can be pre-ordered here.

Smash Into Pieces Announce New Album "ArmaHeaven" Out 10/31

Swedish rock heavyweights Smash Into Pieces are set to unleash their most ambitious album to date, ARMAHEAVEN, arriving October 31, 2025.

With over half a billion streams and views, Smash Into Pieces have risen to become one of modern rock's most dominant forces. From supporting Evanescence and Within Temptation on the Worlds Collide Tour (2022), reaching the Swedish Eurovision final twice, and delivering 1000+ shows worldwide, the band has cemented its global presence. 2024 was a milestone year with multiple headline tours across Scandinavia, North America, and Europe, followed by a packed festival summer. In 2025, the band's expansion continues with tours in Thailand, Australia, Europe, and the Nordics.

On ARMAHEAVEN, Smash Into Pieces push their cinematic storytelling further than ever.

Picking up where their previous album Ghost Code left off, the new chapter throws listeners into a dystopian future where Ghostis, now unstoppable, seizes control of the world. As the resistance falls, a new force emerges: an AI-driven entity that sparks an all-out digital war for dominance. The clash escalates into global catastrophe, exploring themes of power, survival, and rebirth. Will humanity find salvation, or will the machines consume themselves in a final great reset?

The album also features high-profile collaborations with Elize Ryd (Amaranthe)LIAMOO, and Swedish/Japanese media icon LiLiCo. Together with Smash Into Pieces, LiLiCo delivers the powerful duet "First Time," bridging continents and cultures — a collaboration introduced to the public on Swedish national television in August 2025.

With an ever-growing international fanbase, countless sold-out shows, and their boldest musical and narrative vision yet, Smash Into Pieces close out 2025 at the peak of their career—proving once again why they are one of the leading forces in modern rock.

As Everything Unfolds Release "POINT OF VIEW" + Video

As Everything Unfolds, who recently announced their signing to Century Media, have today released a brand new single, "POINT OF VIEW," hot on the heels of "SET IN FLOW," which released earlier this summer.

Speaking of "POINT OF VIEW," vocalist Charlie Rolfe says, "You give everything you have, your whole being, your whole life, to help someone but it's never enough if they don't want to help themselves. I really struggled to understand how someone close to me couldn't see my point of view in the awful situation we were in. They were angry when I helped, they were angry when I gave them space, they were angry when I stayed, they were angry when I left."

She continues, "It destroyed my confidence and my self-worth having to live in an environment where nothing I ever did was good enough. It hurts deeply to watch what can only be described as a car crash in slow motion, being unable to stop it but just having the strength to walk away and value your own mental health, your own sanity helped me gain back a small amount of those parts of me I lost. I really hope that some day, that person can listen to this song, and truly understand what it was like to be in that situation from my point of view."

Watch the "POINT OF VIEW" music video below.

Ignoring traditional genre boundaries with their distinctive sound, As Everything Unfolds have aspired to create a unique listening experience, combining a multitude of genres within the alternative realm and beyond. With over 30 million streams of their catalogue to date, their craft does not go unnoticed.

As Everything Unfolds have been nominated for three Heavy Music Awards, including Best Album in 2024, and have appeared at iconic European festivals including Download Festival, Graspop, Rock For People, Resurrection and Wacken. They have also toured extensively alongside bands including Electric Callboy, Enter Shikari, Skindred, Bury Tomorrow, Holding Absence and many more.

Off the back of signing to Century Media, the remainder of 2025 and 2026 promise to be huge years for the band, showcasing their new era across numerous tours and festivals.

Future Palace Sign With Century Media + Share Video for New Song "Cyclone"

Germany's FUTURE PALACE are making major moves to catapult their already promising career to the next level. The German band is  thrilled to announce that it has signed with Century Media worldwide.

To celebrate the partnership, they have shared the video for the new single "Cyclone."

Watch it below

This is the first taste of new music since last year's DISTORTION, which arrived in September 2024.

"Cyclone" is about the war that often wages within oneself, with the band saying, "It's about how an old version of yourself kept fighting you, especially referring to depression and how draining it can be to avoid turning back into that old version and trying to represent some sort of rebirth of yourself, focusing on the self-conflict. A cyclone tries to rip you apart and invade your peace and can be almost impossible to fight against."

The themes of mental health, growing and healing, distancing yourself from past versions of yourself have long been a part of Future Palace's music and that continues with "Cyclone." The song's energy effectively mirrors the effort it takes to prevent yourself from reverting to the old you that you would like to leave behind.

The band shares, "We used a sample with the word 'amen,' which started just as an and was later interpreted by as a sign of rebirth — amen and goodbye to your old self.”

It also boasts the most monstrous breakdown the band has ever put to tape.

Future Palace are also embarking on their first-ever tour of North America this fall. All dates are below.
