FFAK recently announced their new album and eighth overall, titled Lonely God. It was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Daniel Braunstein [Spiritbox].  Lonely God will arrive on August 1 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here

Excide Share "Your Flowers" Video

Carolina post-hardcore quintet EXCIDE, who've been tipped by Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, and Revolver, are back with the visualizer for their brand new single "YOUR FLOWERS." It's a hyperkinetic anthem with plenty of push and pull guitar energy, a monster breakdown, and singalong choruses.

Watch and listen below

"This song is all about feeling deceived, manipulated, and taken advantage of," the band says. "We put so much of ourselves into what we create, and only ever want it to have a fair shot out in your world. This single is a first installment from something huge that we've been putting together for a long time. It survived many obstacles to see the light of day today. We can't wait to share more with you all soon."

Don't worry — more information will be revealed in due course.

During 2020, Excide initially introduced a boundary-breaking signature style gestated across projects such as Two of a Kind and Actualize / Radiation Reel. Two years later, momentum picked up on the heels of their independent full-length debut, Deliberate Revolver, which incited the applause of Brooklyn VeganRevolver, and more. They caught the attention of Sharptone Records and inked a deal with the label. In 2024, their next era ramped up in earnest with the two-pack Humdinger, including "Dis(re)member" and "All Down (But 9)." Right away, Stereogum raved, "Both of its tracks go hard," and NO ECHO marveled at how "the band's dynamic blend of '90s-flavored hardcore and propulsive post-hardcore rhythms has shined brightly on each of their releases."

Ultimately, Excide make an authentically original statement by simply being who they are.

"When you take a risk, it either pays off or it doesn't," the band says. "No matter what, it's definitely worthwhile though. There are so many deep cut gems out there because of those artists who were willing to risk it all. I hope you walk away from the album inspired to take a chance and do more. You never know what might happen."

Killswitch Engage Drop "Aftermath" Video — WATCH // Summer of Loud Tour Kicks Off This Weekend

Killswitch Engage  Jesse Leach, vocals; Adam Dutkiewicz, guitar; Joel Stroetzel, guitar; Mike D'Antonio, bass; and Justin Foley, drums — released their latest album THIS CONSEQUENCE on February 21, via Metal Blade. Get it here. The album arrived alongside a hugely successful Winter/Spring 2025 tour, yielded a Top 10 single with "I Believe," and landed the band on the covers of Revolver and Outburn.

The album was another reminder of why KsE, who have earned several gold and platinum certifications alongside three Grammy nominations, remain one of the most enduring bands of the modern metal scene.

Today, the band proudly shares the evocative video for "Aftermath." For this video, KsE collaborated with some of the world's leading environmental groups to highlight damage being done to Earth and things we can all do to help stop it.

Watch the video, produced and directed by Good Eye: Music Visuals Below:

"'Aftermath' is a song about the realization of a tragic event or a war, and the strength it takes to rebuild and the hindsight of the loss, betrayal, and madness that transpired while going through it all," Leach explains. "I think we can all relate to this in one way or another. We see daily the tragedies of humanity as well as the destruction of a place we call home. We have taken so much from our planet and ripped the scales in the incorrect direction."

The singer continues, "This song is not just a desperate song with a sense of sadness and anger — it is a call to arms. I'm urging my fellow humans to rise above the helplessness and despair. I want people to see we need to put one foot in front of the other and start to rebuild our lives. Be it from an abusive relationship, a financial hardship, a death of a loved one, or mourning yet another disaster unleashed upon the natural world."

Leach finishes, "We all have power to create change. To me, this works perfectly with the various organizations we partnered with for this video. We all have a responsibility to the amazing place we call home. All of us can make a difference big or small by just contributing to righting the wrongs and repairing the damage we have inflicted on our planet. Our hope is to inspire others to help contribute to keeping our home safe and clean for future generations. It starts right here and right now with us."

Edenbridge Announce New Album "Set The Dark On Fire" + Return Steamhammer/SPV

Edenbridge, one of Europe's most successful symphonic metal bands, have announced their return to the Steamhammer/SPV fold.

The Austrian act, comprised of band mastermind Lanvall (guitar/keyboards) and vocalist Sabine Edelsbacher, are set to release their latest studio offering Set The Dark On Fire on January 16, 2026.

Three singles, including videos, will be available ahead of the album's arrival: "Cosmic Embrace" (September 19); "Where The Wild Things Are" (November 7); and the title track "Set The Dark On Fire" (December 12).

Lanvall and Edelsbacher promise their fans a typical Edenbridge amalgam of powerful metal, and tried-and-tested anthemic, symphonic elements, with a perceptible increase in heaviness, especially in terms of guitars, bass, and drums.

Lanvall says, "Set The Dark On Fire sees us remain true to ourselves stylistically while making some important adjustments together with our long-standing mixing and mastering engineer Karl Groom (Threshold). The result is the most dynamic, heavy, and at the same time most melodic work to date in the history of Edenbridge."

The studio recordings as well as mixing and mastering of Set The Dark On Fire have already been completed, as has the work on the stunning cover artwork. Edenbridge are currently busy preparing their European tour, which will take them through Austria, Germany, Holland and Switzerland from February to mid-March 2026.

Speaking about their return to Steamhammer/SPV, Lanvall explains, "We're delighted to be able to release our new album with the support of Olly Hahn and his dedicated team again. Due to the organizational restructuring of our previous label, we found ourselves without a contract and promptly received an offer from Olly that proves Steamhammer's faith in us and builds on our successful collaboration between 2013 and 2021."

Steamhammer label manager Olly Hahn also looks forward to the new association with great confidence, saying, "The band has a large fanbase and continues to impress with the amazing quality and passion of their music. I feel sure that Set The Dark On Fire will successfully continue our collaboration of recent years."

The full track listing of Edenbridge's latest album release and dates of their 2026 European tour will be announced shortly.

Skid Row Drop Lyric Video for "Disease" Ahead of Newly Mastered Reissue Edition of "Revolutions Per Minute"

Legendary American hard rock band Skid Row unleash a brand-new lyric video for the track "Disease," offering fans a first taste of the upcoming reissue of their fifth studio album, Revolutions Per Minute. The newly mastered edition is set for release on June 20, 2025.

Originally launched in 2006, Revolutions Per Minute marked a bold shift in Skid Row’s evolution — pushing boundaries and fusing their trademark edge with a more modern, aggressive sound. The reissue brings that raw energy back to life, offering a fresh spin on a pivotal chapter in the band’s career.

The lyric video for "Disease," the album's explosive opening track, captures the song's aggressive tone and introspective lyrics. Exploring themes of self-destruction and personal turmoil, the video enhances the emotional weight with visuals that evoke chaos and inner conflict.

blessthe fall Announce New Album "Gallows" + Share "mallxcore"

Arizona quartet blessthefall — Beau Bokan [vocals], Eric Lambert [guitar], Jared Warth [bass], and Elliott Gruenberg [guitar] — are thrilled to announce GALLOWS, their first album in 7 years. It arrives September 5 via Rise Records. Pre-order it here.

Accompanying this news is the release of the new single "mallxcore."

Watch the visualizer below.

"You ever hear a song from a band and go, 'Holy fucking shit, they nailed it?,'" Bokan muses. "That’s what 'mallxcore' will make you feel. This song was so fun to write as we went in with no intentions other than writing the most blessthefall song possible. The song title is a poke at the r/Metalcore reddit haters."

The official video for the track will arrive on Thursday, June 19.

Bokan offered an advance tease about the video, saying, "We knew the music video for 'mallxcore' needed to be as fun as the song was. We hand-picked Tanner Gordon to direct because of his amazing work with bands like Spiritbox. In the video, we all have normal, mundane jobs then I'm recruited by an over-dramatic party host who needs a band to perform at her shindig...STAT. As a bonus, there are some really cool easter eggs throughout the video that we dropped in there for the hardcore fans!"

Stay tuned, because it's coming!

Bokan shares this additional insight about the album, saying, "Gallows is a culmination of everything we love about writing music. We took our time and only wrote when we felt inspired. Every song you hear on this album was written from a place of excitement and freedom and you can hear that shine on every track. From the visceral screams over some of the most disgustingly heavy parts we've ever written to the massive sing-along choruses, there's something for everyone. If you're a die hard BTF fan since Day One or a first-time listener, Gallows will end up on your Top 3 metalcore albums for 2025."

It's a bold statement but it's also true!

The album also features guest appearances from Story Of The Year, Alpha Wolf, and Caskets.

Hunter Oliveri Announces "Teen Slug" Album + Shares "Lunatics" Video

Hunter Oliveri, the Gen Alpha talent who has been steadily buzzing and creating a name for himself since his early teen years, is thrilled to announce the release of his debut album TEEN SLUG, out August 22 via Spinefarm.

Pre-order it here

Oliveri has released the video for new single "Lunatics."

Watch it Below:

The song, which is inspired by '90s era grunge and alt rock, takes a hard look at some major problems felling the world in the current digital day and age, and beyond. It's an incredibly mature point of view from someone who grew up in this era and who is undoubtedly affected by these issues.

"The song reflects a world grappling with chaos, political unrest, cultural decay, or crises. like climate change or tech overload," Oliveri explains. "'Lunatics' could represent humanity's behavior, like wars, while the 'acid trip' is a distorted reality created by media or technology.  The disillusionment with 'God' or higher powers mirrors a global loss of faith in institutions whether religious, the government, or corporations leaving people to 'fake it' in a world that almost feels like a failed experiment."

A chance meeting at age 14 with a local producer's father while in a coffee shop with his grandpa was the first domino to fall in Oliveri's music story. The rest is a history still to be written. "I've been so incredibly lucky, but I've manifested this, too," he says. "I've always known writing music would be my life. I just had to make it happen. It was hard to find kids around my city that played instruments and wanted to be in a band, but I've been writing songs every day in my bedroom since I was maybe 13 years old. It takes me to a different place."

"I want to bring people into my world through my music," he adds. "I want people to feel something when they listen to my music, and to relate to me, and for me to be a friend and an outlet for them."

He's figuring the rest out as he goes... so come along for the ride!

Calva Louise Walk "Edge of the Abyss" + Follow the Path of the Warrior on "Impeccable" Video

Calva Louise continue their frenetic vision on the explosive new single "Impeccable." It pulls you with both hands into their complex and cinematic sci-fi universe with a mesmerizing blend of punk, metal, and electronica. They've dropped another incredibly hypnotic video, once again directed with visual effects by singer/guitarist Jess Allanic.

Watch it below.

The sprawling story of Calva Louise is captivating. The band that found each other from opposite corners of the world — Venezuela, New Zealand, and France — discovered their home and community in the UK. Their combined influences and experiences create an incredible melting pot of musicality, and with Jess Allinac's compelling narrative vision, they've conceived something truly unique.

Their new studio album, Edge of the Abyss, which is co-produced by Pendulum's Gareth McGrillen, will be released on July 11 via Mascot Records.

Set in 1994, "Impeccable" is a direct sequel to "W.T.F," which introduced the protagonist, Louise, who is experiencing bizarre happenings inside her home and encounters a feeling of dread signaling danger: someone is inside her house and stalking her. She catches glimpses of what has been stalking her: An uncanny version of herself — her "double."

"It is about that feeling of powerlessness that occurs when we are in situations beyond our control," says Allanic.

Another high-energy collision of futurism, riffs, apocalyptic drums, and haunting electronics, "Impeccable" continues its journey down the rabbit hole and tells the story of a young man called Jonnie, who has been deadly poisoned and has no choice but to act impeccably to survive.

"I follow you anywhere you go. Death spoke to the warrior, Who was looking for a chance. I follow you anywhere you go. He said to the abyss, On the edge of life," the lyrics hypnotically yearn.

"For this, he has to follow his double into another world, the Fractalworld, or death will strike him," the band says. "Jonnie will have to quickly understand who his double is and cross over the threshold to overcome his fate. Impeccable is the direct sequel of 'W.T.F,' where we meet the main character Louise and her own encounter with her double."

The Edge of the Abyss sees characters traveling between different dimensions, with people who mysteriously resemble doubles of each of us, like shadows that seem to stalk us but who, in reality, seek to communicate. Who are these beings? What do they want from us? How can we reach them?

The recent single "Lo Que Vale" — translated into English as "What is Worth," became the latest frenzied installment of the album following "Aimless," a reflective catharsis of human communication.

The cinematic sci-fi videos for the album singles show different times and worlds where some characters have encounters with their 'doubles.' "W.T.F" is the prequel of the previous singles — "La Corriente" and "Under The Skin" — all directed and VFX by Jess.

Calva Louise have also announced their September 2025 U.S headline tour. All dates are below. Get tickets, which go on sale on Tuesday, June 17 at 10am local time, here.

Belgian Psychedelic Post-Metallers Psychonaut Announce New Album "World Maker" + Share "Endless Currents" Video

A record born of insurmountable joy and simultaneous profound loss; World Maker marks a time of great change for Psychonaut, both personally and musically, as the band burn away the philosophical narrative complexities of previous offerings with a searing, panoramic clarity that implores us to savor the beauty of the now as a means of leaving a legacy for the future.

The album arrives October 24 via Pelagic. Pre-order it here

Today, the band has shared "Endless Currents." Watch it below.

The traditional, three-piece line up of Belgian, psychedelic post-metal collective Psychonaut has long belied the compositional prowess, captivating narrative depth and crushing live presence of a band now operating at the forefront of forward-thinking, contemporary heavy music.

Having sent a shockwave through the post-metal and prog scenes with their three times repressed Pelagic Records debut Unfold The God Man in 2020 before following it up with the transformative metaphysical complexities of 2022’s Violate Consensus Reality, Psychonaut have played prestigious Belgian open-air festivals like Alcatraz, Rock Herk and Boomtown Festival as well as boutique events such as Soulcrusher, Roadburn Redux and A Colossal Weekend whilst sharing stages across Europe with the likes of Amenra, Brutus and Pelagic labelmates The Ocean and PG.Lost.

The seed of World Maker took shape just as the campaign for Violate Consensus Reality came to a close, with the news that guitarist/vocalist Stefan De Graef was to become a father. This tilting of life’s axis led De Graef, like most fathers-to-be, to re-assess what was really important. As such, the music he was inspired to write felt free of the band’s previous philosophical and spiritual foundations and instead took the form of life lessons for his unborn son, a legacy of love in case something were ever to happen.

This hopeful euphoria shines keenly throughout World Maker as an uncharacteristically optimistic warmth; from the reverberating Rhodes organ on the titular opening track and the meandering, free-jazz inspired guitar solo that introduces "Everything Else is Just The Weather" to elements of world music, electronica and the otherworldly voice of Dutch multi-instrumentalist and old friend Anthe Huybrechts (Anthe/Helion Creek) most notably on tracks like "Origins" which also features tabla, a pair of indian hand drums, as its propulsive heartbeat.

PSYCHONAUT ARE:
Stefan de Graef — Guitars/Vocals
Thomas Michiels — Bass/Vocals
Harm Peters — Drums

Heaven Shall Burn Team Up with Old Friend Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage for "Numbered Days" Cover

Following their tradition of covering some of their favorite and most influential tracks featuring members of the original, Heaven Shall Burn are releasing "Numbered Days" (Feat. Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage).

Check out the visualizer that is accompanying the celebration of the friendship between the bands below

Bonus points for anyone catching the title of one of Heaven Shall Burn's classics in the lyrics.

Heimat will be released on June 27 by the band's long-standing label partner Century Media Records.

The band comments, "Killswitch Engage are THE metalcore band! When we heard 'Numbered Days' for the very first time, it totally blew us away. It was clear that something new was brewing up. No other band has influenced this style of music more and interpreted it better. Just because the guys have been very good friends for many years doesn't mean you can't pay tribute to this great band. We hope the song means as much to you as it does to us!"

Leach further adds, "All of us are honored by Heaven Shall Burn covering 'Numbered Days.' That song truly kicked off an album for us that would change our lives. All these years later to have people still resonate with our music means the world to us. Now to have a band like Heaven Shall Burn cover it 23 years later is really wild! Grateful and very stoked to have been a part of the reshaping of this song and to hear someone else's take on it!"

Make sure to catch Killswitch Engage on their upcoming European tour, because "Numbered Days" isn't the only song from this legendary band that had a lasting impact on modern extreme music.

Another pending question is finally answered: After Heaven Shall Burn had to cancel some shows due to their singer Marcus Bischoff suffering from a severe infection of his vocal chords, the band is happy to announce that Britta Görtz from HIRAES will be filling in. "We have a plan!" says Bischoff. "Britta from HIRAES will fill in for me at the upcoming shows, so tomorrow in Kufstein as well as next weekend! Give her a warm welcome, show her what HSB fans are made of and make the shows something very special in the band's history! We are really looking forward to it! Things are already looking better for me, too! Your Molle and the HSB guys!"

Get well soon and welcome Britta!

"Heimat" = German for "home/homeland/native land" — a term that merely refers to a relationship between people and spaces but has nevertheless always been highly emotionally charged. Often misused, it sometimes causes discomfort, lively discussions, and battles over interpretation.

Guitarist Maik Weichert comments, "Heimat is not meant as the narrow-minded end point in the sense it has been used by agitators and populists, but the starting point for observations and perspectives. The album is about a much wider sense of the term 'Heimat': The homelands for many different people and also about the spiritual home, something that shapes and determines our thoughts and actions."

Heaven Shall Burn took their time with the follow-up to Of Truth And Sacrifice, which reached No. 1 on the Official German Album Charts in 2020. Heimat was produced at the band's own studio, The Dude Ranch, which is run by guitarist Alexander Dietz. As in the past, Danish producer Tue Madsen took care of the mixing and mastering.

The Thuringians enlisted the renowned artist Eliran Kantor for the artwork, who previously crafted the artwork for Of Truth And Sacrifice. The centerpiece of the impressive triptych is a rearing stag — in its roaring variant a classic motif of wildlife painting, the epitome of kitsch and trivial art from the 19th and 20th centuries and interpreted by some as a symbol of patriarchy and capitalist competition, but here placed as a vital allegory of resistance amid an apocalyptic scene. He is flanked by a hunting lynx and a watchful owl, which complete the highly symbolic artwork concept as further elements of the triptych. As with Of Truth And Sacrifice, Heaven Shall Burn worked together with composer, producer and director Sven Helbig and conductor Wilhelm Keitel, this time supported by the Mondëna Quartet and the Ukrainian Sophia Chamber Choir.

HEAVEN SHALL BURN ARE:
Marcus Bischoff — Vocals

Rex Tycoon Announce Upcoming Album "No Limit 2 Luv" + Release New Single via Smartpunk Records

Smartpunk Records welcomes rock n roll stars, Rex Tycoon, to their label roster and celebrates the announcement with a new album, "No Limit 2 Luv." On this record, the band doubles down on the fusion of power pop greatness, punk energy, and grooving riffs that define their music. For a taste of what to expect, the band shares the first glimpse of the upcoming record on their single "Jesus Drives."

Listen here.

Music video below.

Pre-order the album here.

Speaking about the new single, Rex Tycoon shares, "This song came about after a trip back home to my parents’ house around Christmas time. My grandmother was telling a story she loves to tell, about how after my grandfather passed away, when I was really young, I would ask her, “What kind of car does Jesus drive?” Because my grandfather was really into cars. I never got to know my grandfather very well since I was so young when he passed but this song sort of transformed into an ode to the kind of guy that I came to know him as from stories and photographs, the blue-collar, hard-working, salt-of-the-earth working class individual who’s back the world is built upon but who the world is nevertheless constantly spitting on in return. The song seemed to be a perfect fit for both the album closer and the lead single."

ABOUT REX TYCOON
In a fusion of power pop greatness, punk energy and grooving riffs, Rex Tycoon’s debut full-length No Limit 2 Luv (Smartpunk Records) shows off what makes the band so special. Bursting to life with “Rock ‘N Roll Star,” No Limit 2 Luv kicks off feeling stadium huge while lyrically professing a humble reality, the sound manifesting the kind of rock ‘n’ roll stardom this album deserves. Over the course of ten songs Rex Tycoon conjures the energy of beer-soaked basement parties as well as meandering, soul searching drives. It’s eclectic but consistent, showing the band’s flexibility and unique stylistic foundation. Guitarist and vocalist Austin Reesman’s knack for storytelling reaches its pinnacle with the album closer “Jesus Drives,” a bluesy, straight ahead rocker that relays the reality and drudgery of the working class people doing their best to survive under untenable circumstances.

Rex Tycoon may dabble in slacker rock, but there’s never been anything lazy about the way these songs come to life. Reesman, Joey Tiberio (guitar), Keith Tucker (bass, synth, vocals) and Jared Stalker (drums) have spent years fine tuning and self-recording infectious rock riffs and poppy hooks from Tucker and Stalker’s Pittsburgh basement. The band took their punk spirit out of the basement and into the studio for their Smartpunk debut No Limit 2 Luv. The album was recorded with Damion Schiralli at Russian Recording in Bloomington, Indiana and mastered by Mike Bridavsky (Russian Recording), and the result is a more spacious sound to reveal all the thoughtful details of Rex Tycoon’s songwriting.

Deep Purple's "Rapture of the Deep" Album Marks 20 Years With Remix + Unreleased Tracks

IS THIS DEEP PURPLE'S UNFAIRLY FORGOTTEN ALBUM?

RAPTURE OF THE DEEP MARKS 20 YEARS WITH A STUNNING REMIX + UNRELEASED TRACKS

RAPTURE OF THE DEEP 20TH ANNIVERSARY REMIX TO BE RELEASED AUGUST 29

Deep Purple
's Rapture of the Deep turns 20 – and i'’s celebrated with a complete remix and remaster, striking new artwork, plus a bonus CD/LP featuring never-before-released recordings.

Listen to "Junkyard Blues" below:

It's no secret that Rapture of the Deep isn’t the first album that comes to mind when listing Deep Purple's classics – and while it was met with interest at the time, it gradually faded from view. Despite solid sales, the album arrived during a period when there was little spotlight on the world of classic rock, and over the years, Rapture of the Deep developed into an overlooked chapter in Deep Purple's rich discography.

It's equally true that this record, and the story behind it, marked a turning point — the quiet beginning of a run that would eventually lead to four consecutive No. 1 albums (2013, 2017, 2020, 2024) and the kind of success few bands experience even once, let alone decades into their career.

New insights by Kerrang! founder and Classic Rock magazine writer Geoff Bartonpull back the curtain on a time when Deep Purple were navigating an uncertain era in the music industry that saw the downfall of many once-great artist careers — and unravel the strange chemistry that gave birth to Deep Purple's 18th studio album.

As bassist Roger Glover reflects, "We were going through a bit of a hard time when we started the songwriting and production of Rapture of the Deep and, strangely enough, we didn't have a record company at that point. Let's face it, we were a bit lost (…)."

But from that uncertain moment emerged an album bursting with sharp songwriting, masterful playing, and pure Deep Purple grit.

Now, newly mixed with the supervision of Glover, analogue-mastered at renowned Chameleon Studios in Hamburg, and presented with bold new artwork, Rapture of the Deep finally shines with clarity and color. "It's a new album now to me," says Roger Glover. Fans will hear it blooming for the first time.

This new edition also includes a bonus CD/LP featuring previously unreleased instrumental takes and studio rehearsals recorded during the songwriting process — providing a rare, unfiltered insight into the band’s creative work in the studio. Captured on multi-track in 2005 and mixed for the first time in 2025, it’s one of those rare instances where recordings resurface decades later from archives long thought lost.

Among the highlights is the track "Closing Note," a never-before-heard piece by former guitarist Steve Morse — recorded during the album sessions and now officially released for the first time.

These tracks are available exclusively on all three physical formats — CD Digipak, 3LP Vinyl (black, 180g), and the strictly Limited 3LP Transparent Sky-Blue Vinyl.

With Deep Purple riding high on the success of their latest No. 1 record =1, the time is right to (re)discover the album that set the path for Deep Purple in the 21st century.

dead7 Drop "PLEASE" Video" (Feat. Marcus Vik)

dead7 will drop their new album LOVE WHAT YOU CAN WHILE YOU GOT SOMETHING LEFT TO LOVE on July 11 via SharpTone. Pre-order it here

On the album, the St. Louis, MO quintet — Jason Kozik [vocals], Dexter Greer[guitar], Tim Quinn [guitar], Stephen Salyer [bass], and Zach Guinn [drums] — temper guitar-driven grooves with electronics, atmospheric keys, and evocative vocals. Simultaneously, death and romance become interchangeable, rotating around an axis of relatable emotional turbulence.

dead7 have dropped the video for "PLEASE." The track features a guest appearance from Invent Animate's Marcus Vik.

Watch it Below:

"We were making a joke about being kind of horny, and we tried to encapsulate it," Kozik says about the song's interesting origin story. "It's about the highs of relationships. If you say, 'Please,' you could tell me to do anything. It doesn't matter, just ask nicely. It has our ridiculously low guitar tones that we love, but it also feels like a pop song. We really wanted to have fun with this one."

Fun, indeed!

Armed with this boundary-breaking style, dead7 initially rose up out of St. Louis during 2022. Following "unwanted" and "bite it," the group collaborated with Nathan Johnson of Fox Lake on "heaven only knows." Meanwhile, "tape mouth" surged with over 433K Spotify streams, paving the way for the new pain collection EP and all time does is pass and all i do is remember EP. Along the way, they packed headline gigs and graced the bills of festivals such as POINTFEST with Incubus, Bad Omens, Coheed and Cambria, The Pretty Reckless, and more. In late 2024, they caught the attention of Sharptone Records and inked a deal with the label. Hitting the studio, the band reteamed with frequent collaborators and producers Caleb Freihaut and Ben McGuiness to record what would become LOVE WHAT YOU CAN WHILE YOU GOT SOMETHING LEFT TO LOVE. This time around, the guys nodded to inspirations such as Loathe, Bring Me The Horizon, and Three Days Grace.

Creeper Tease Next Era With "Headstones" Video — WATCH // New Album "Sanguivore II: Mistress of Death" Coming Soon

May 30 saw CREEPER bring the curtain down on the critically-acclaimedSANGUIVORE era with a phenomenal performance of the album at a sold-out, intimate KOKO show. And, as has become custom in the CREEPER world, they ended this chapter by unveiling a look ahead to their next — this time by introducing a new character, the Mistress of Death, during a vampiric horror short film.

Now, CREEPER take a blood-soaked step towards their new album Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death (coming later this year) by sharing the new single "HEADSTONES." Watch the video below

"HEADSTONES" sees CREEPER come roaring out of the gate with a whirlwind of classic thrash riffs and pummeling punk rhythms before soaring into a characteristically larger-than-life arena-ready hook. It also brings in exhilarating sonic elements, such as dueling, Judas Priest-style guitar solos from co-founder and lead guitarist Ian Miles and guitarist Lawrie Pattison, while Hannah Hermione brings gothic x gospel vocal harmonies. Its lyrics dive deeper in the band's fascination with vampire mythology, with William Von Ghould's playful innuendo delivering arguably one of the greatest vampire songs ever written.

The track was produced by Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Rammstein, The Damned) who helped CREEPER bring their most theatrical and unhinged excesses to the fore.

William Von Ghould says, "'Headstones' is the first glimpse into Sanguivore II: Mistress of Death. Set in a blood-drenched vision of the 1980s, it follows a vampire rock band on a tour soaked in violence and excess. It features some of our heaviest and most theatrical guitar work yet, echoing Iron Maiden, with Lawrie Pattison and Ian Miles trading solos in the bridge. It's also the fastest single we've released in years.

"Lyrically, it sets the stage for what's to come in the album's narrative, exploring the dark perils of rock 'n' roll, sins of the flesh, and pure evil. This is the band at its most over-the-top and unashamedly dramatic. But as our hero Jim Steinman once said, 'Sometimes going all the way is just the start.'"

The accompanying video for "HEADSTONES" sees CREEPER channel the ferocity and charisma of their renowned live show and also underlines their future festival-headlining potential. William Von Ghould conducts the chaos from center stage, while his bandmates run riot and pyros detonate.

After Kerrang! observed that CREEPER’s KOKO show "evidently attracted the most ardent members of their already deeply devoted fanbase," the band have plenty more to come on the road this year. Their summer festival dates include Bloodstock, Rock am Park/Rock im Ring, and Graspop Metal Meeting. Autumn then brings a UK and European tour as special guests to Ice Nine Kills which culminates at the OVO Arena Wembley on December 12.

Their UK dates are listed below; please see HERE for all international dates.

DREAMWAKE Announce "The Lost Years" Out 8/8 + Share "Afterglow" Video

Connecticut's DREAMWAKE — Bobby Nabors (vocals); Dave Pazik (guitar); Kevin Jacques (bass); and Andrew Popolizio (drums) — are thrilled to announce their new album The Lost Years. It will arrive on August 8 via UNFD. Pre-order it here

To mark the occasion, the band has shared the video for the new single "Afterglow." Watch it below

"'Afterglow' is about the ache of losing someone to their inner battles, and the desperate hope to bring them back before they fade completely," the band states. "It's a plea for connection in the face of emotional distance, a fight against fading into silence."

Even with such heavy and heartfelt subject matter, the song's ebullient melodies and the band's DNA-distinct way of cross-pollinating metalcore's fury and heft with synthwave and saxophones elevate the song to soaring heights. The sax action is the unexpected and unpredictable touch you never knew you needed — but totally did!

Emerging from the bustling scene in New Haven, Connecticut, Dreamwake are a four-piece band that seamlessly blurs the lines of multiple genres, deftly crafting a sound that's both nostalgic and fresh. Combining emotionally charged melodies, heavy riffs, and saxophone, Dreamwake offer a unique sonic landscape and they bridge the gap between powerful metal breakdowns and captivating melodies. Joining the UNFD roster in 2024, the band continues to deliver an unforgettable mix of energy, depth, and innovation that will leave a lasting impact on fans.

CRADLE OF FILTH Reveal Music Video for New Album Track "Demagoguery" + UK/EU Tour Begins This Week!

Following the release of their brand new 14th studio album The Screaming Of The Valkyries (Napalm Records) — which made stellar debuts at #2 on both the US and Canadian Hard Music Albums charts, #4 on the US Current Rock Albums chart, and more — GRAMMY Award-nominated extreme metal institution CRADLE OF FILTH have unveiled another surprise! A brand new music video for driving album track "Demagoguery" is out now, providing an eerily disturbing backdrop to the song, which blends dark beauty, blast beats, and slaytanic groove as only Cradle can combine.

The video comes just in time for the band to kick off their UK/European headline tour, featuring support from labelmates Nervosa, later this week! See below for a full listing of current tour dates.

"Demagoguery" music video director Shaun Hodson says about the video's concept: "Subject Eleven, a marionette puppet, is controlled by the media, government, and television, her every move dictated by their unseen strings. As a charismatic world leader rises, cloaked in promises of peace, the truth behind her manipulation becomes clear: she is part of a dark orchestration guiding the world toward the rise of the Antichrist."

Watch the music video for "Demagoguery" below:

On The Screaming Of The Valkyries, Dani Filth's recognizable scream and equally identifiable growl stand mightily alongside twin guitar attacks, symphonic flourishes, and explosive rhythm section, implemented by drummer Martin "Marthus" Skaroupka, bassist Daniel Firth, guitarists Marek "Ashok" Smerda and Donny Burbage, and keyboardist/vocalist Zoe Federoff.

Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England, The Screaming of the Valkyries beckons the brave into a new era of CRADLE OF FILTH misadventure, celebrating massive melancholic melody, blackened thrash, and apocalyptic existential dread with a grinning smattering of unbridled revelry. The Screaming of the Valkyries is a bloody dark love letter to the longtime legion of CRADLE OF FILTH faithful and a stunning entryway for fresh lambs to the sonic slaughter.

Menacing album opener "To Live Deliciously" hits immediately with rhythmic urgency, built around a Libertine lyrical hook that twists and writhes with aggression, atmosphere, and melody. Across the album’s blunt and unforgiving yet inviting expanse, Cradle summons the succulent flavors of classic albums like Dusk And Her Embrace and Cruelty And The Beast with the galloping (but no less fierce) thunder of recent entries Hammer Of The Witches and Existence Is Futile. Flashes of early metal influences coalesce with carnivorous glee into unapologetic death ‘n’ roll. Anchored by arguably the most mournful melody in their catalog, "Non Omnis Moriar" ("I shall not wholly die") could be a cousin to Paradise Lost or Anathema, inverted through Cradle’s thorny prism. "You Are My Nautilus" is the darkest song Iron Maiden never wrote, spinning an epic tale with dueling guitars, while "Ex Sanguine Draculae" conjures Dusk-era atmosphere with imaginative new colors.

Pop Evil Release Raw and Emotionally Charged EP "Unleaded"

In a bold departure from their signature sound, Pop Evil unveil a powerful new chapter with the release of their live acoustic EP, Unleaded, a raw and emotionally charged recording captured in the heart of New York City.

Hosted by SiriusXM Octane and set within the edgy, denim-clad atmosphere of the Cult of Individuality showroom, this release strips away the band’s thunderous riffs and high-octane energy, laying bare the soul of their songwriting in an intimate and electrifying performance.

Known for their explosive live shows and heavy rock anthems, Pop Evil have long been a staple of the hard rock scene. But Unleaded reveals a different side of the Michigan-bred outfit—one that trades distortion and fury for shadow and nuance. The setting was intentionally unconventional. Surrounded by Cult of Individuality’s gritty fashion aesthetic and a crowd of superfans, the band leaned into vulnerability and artistry, proving that their songs are just as powerful—if not more so—when stripped to their emotional core.

The EP features raw, acoustic renditions of fan favorites and a surprise cover of Simple Mind classic '80s hit "Don't You (Forget About Me)," reimagined through a minimalist lens. Frontman Leigh Kakaty's vocals take center stage, enriched by the absence of walls of sound, revealing new shades of melody and lyrical depth. Songs like "What Remains" and "Paranoid (Crash & Burn)" gain new emotional resonance, delivered with haunting clarity and personal intensity. Backed by acoustic guitar, delicate percussion, and harmonized vocals, the stripped arrangements emphasize storytelling over spectacle.

"This was a chance to show our fans who we are underneath it all," Kakaty shared during the Octane broadcast. "No lights, no walls of sound—just the songs and the emotion that built them."

Unleaded serves as a reminder that even the heaviest rock bands have roots in melody and meaning. It's a testament to Pop Evil’s versatility and their willingness to challenge themselves creatively. By peeling back the layers, this EP offers an unforgettable glimpse into the soul of Pop Evil — raw, unfiltered, and undeniably powerful.

Pop Evil are wrapping up the last few dates of their current headline tour. All remaining dates are below. The band is playing festivals and fairs this summer. Expect more touring later in 2025.
