Kings of extreme metal, BEHEMOTH, have announced the premiere of the music video for the song "Avgvr (The Dread Vvltvre)," the vicious closing track of their critically acclaimed most recent album, The Shit Ov God, which was released in May 2025.

PREYRS is the brainchild of Belfast rock artist Amy Montgomery and drummer/producer Michael Mormecha. Busking on the streets of Belfast from the age of 15, Amy Montgomery met multi-instrumentalist Michael Mormecha a few years later and they've been working together ever since. Both songwriters in their own right, Michael fronted renowned Irish post-hardcore outfit Mojo Fury and worked as a producer for artists including The Bonnevilles, Mojo Fury, and Joshua Burnside. They're joined as PREYRS by longtime guitarist Nolan Donelly and new bass player Ciarán McGreevy.

Known for electrifying live performances, PREYRS made their UK festival debut at Bloodstock Open Air this August and appeared at Stendhal Festival in Ireland. Boys Like Girls Release "THE HOMECOMING (LIVE FROM THE MGM MUSIC HALL AT FENWAY PARK)"

In 2023, alt-pop powerhouse BOYS LIKE GIRLS made a long-awaited return with Sunday At Foxwoods, their first album in over a decade.

The record is a beautiful meeting of their melody-driven pop anthems delivered with the maturity of a band that had many years of growth in between. It served as a bold reintroduction that resonated with a new generation of listeners, while igniting the hearts of longtime fans.

Rocklahoma roared back over Labor Day weekend, cementing its place as one of America's premier rock and metal festivals with a total attendance of 76,930 fans across four days!

Rocklahoma's online presence erupted this year with over 4 million in social media engagement and participation more than doubled, with fans devouring backstage clips, pit footage, and fan-shot festival moments and the debut of "Rocklahoma Live," the festival's official backstage broadcast.

The Rocklahoma content team, led by Mike and Chantal Savage of Vision Savage Media (Kansas City, MO), delivered wall-to-wall coverage that drove record engagement. Every morning began with Collier Cash, the teenage guitarist who went viral after being invited onstage by the Foo Fighters, delivering a searing live rendition of the National Anthem. With snakes, guillotines, and pure rock theater, Alice Cooper turned the Pryor fields into his personal stage play reminding fans why the Godfather of Shock Rock still defines the genre.

Shinedown Ignites the Masses:
Shinedown delivered an arena-sized explosion of light, sound, and anthems. Tens of thousands belted out every lyric in unison, creating a worthy chorus that carried across the Oklahoma night.

Tom Morello's Legacy Lives On:
Morello's guitar pyrotechnics reached new heights when he brought his son on stage for a jaw-dropping father-son guitar duel. The younger Morello stunned the crowd with his chops, proving that rock's fire passes from generation to generation.

Five Finger Death Punch Unleashes the Pit:
Few bands own the pit like Five Finger. Their bone-crushing riffs and commanding energy whipped Rocklahoma into a frenzy, unleashing chaos, sweat, and unity in one of the weekend's heaviest sets.

Jet Jaguar Release Video for "Fool's Paradise"

Mexican metal band JET JAGUAR have released the video for new single "Fool's Paradise" today. The song appears on their upcoming album Severance out October 24.

 "A biting satire aimed at far-right ideology and conspiracy culture, 'Fool’s Paradise' is a first-person mockery of the anti-science mindset," the band says. "With sharp lyrics and a driving sound, the track takes aim at flat-earthers, anti-vaxxers, and the rise of reactionary politics in the U.S.!"

I haven't traditionally been very big on covers for this band, though, so I wasn't in a real hurry to do it. The song is a bleak outburst of betrayal, confusion, and emotional fallout. 

"As a collective going into the studio, we knew that 'For What It's Worth' was a heavy favorite," says vocalist Harrison Seanor. "Right from the opening riff, it just has that energy, that drive. It's hard not to bang your head."

Early releases, such as the Dark Side of the Mind EP (2017) and Good Intentions (2020), cultivated a dedicated following in the underground and earned the band a reputation for high intensity. In a glowing 9/10 review, New Transcendence said 2022's New Lows EP "packs a hefty punch" and "a stellar appetizer to whatever is up next in the band's bright future." The Let This Life Devour You EP arrived in 2024.

The Acacia Strain Announce "Tune Low Die Slow Ho Ho" 2025

THE ACACIA STRAIN  — Vincent Bennett, vocals; Devin Shidaker, lead guitar; Griffin Landa, bass; Mike Mulholland, guitar; and Matt Guglielmo, drums — are are once again spreading a massive and metallic dose of holiday cheer this December. The band has announce "Tune Low Die Slow Ho Ho" 2025. The two-day, annual holiday extravaganza is set for Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14 at Empire Live in Albany, New York.

Indecent Behavior + Air Drawn Dagger Release Video for Joint Single "Give Me Everything"

German pop punkers Indecent Behavior and their British emo-pop labelmates Air Drawn Dagger have just released the video for the joint single "Give Me Everything."

After performing at Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, and touring with Neck Deep, Zebrahead, and the Donots, Indecent Behavior will unleash their fourth studio album, SICK, on  September 26. Air Drawn Dagger released their debut album A Guide For Apparitions back in April. It was produced by Neil Kennedy (Creeper, Boston Manor) and the band recently toured with Halocene and Crushed By Waves, and performed at the Glastonbury Festival.

"The new single 'Give Me Everything' is for all those who want to break free from a toxic relationship – confidently and looking forward," says Indecent Behavior singer Henrik Bergmann. "People are different — what is completely normal for one person can mean the exact opposite for another. When two fundamentally different personalities come together in a relationship, it often gets complicated — sometimes even painful. 'Give Me Everything' is a liberating blow. The song is about the moment when you realize: 'I don't want this anymore — I'm worth more than this and I won't let myself be manipulated any longer.' It's not about settling scores with anger, but consciously drawing a line under things — without resentment, but with a clear view of the future. Maisie from Air Drawn Dagger brings a second perspective to the song. Because even if at first glance it seems as if there is a clear 'guilty' person, it is often simply a question of fundamentally different views on life and on each other."

Barbarians of California (Feat. AWOLNATION, Tinfed) Return With New Ripper "Modern Fashion"

The West Coast's contribution to hardcore punk is undeniable. That tradition of aggression, passion, and scrappy melodicism continues with The Barbarians Of California, an engaging new manifestation of iconoclastic spirit and true bombast. Featuring Aaron Bruno of AWOLNATION and Eric Stenman of Tinfed, as well as being a noted producer, TBOC are equal opportunity iconoclasts, gleefully thrashing the left and the right in the hardcore-punk tradition of nonconformity and raw fury. The band isn't "political," because they aren't advocating for anyone's platform. The central message is defiance.

ABOUT THE BARBARIANS OF CALIFORNIA:
So, who, exactly, are The Barbarians of California? Here's a refresher. 
 
Eric Stenman and Aaron Bruno first collided in the California hardcore scene of the early '90s. Stenman cut his teeth in the same Sacramento community that eventually launched diverse and disparate acts like Deftones, Far, Will Haven, Team Sleep, Hella, Death Grips, and Trash Talk. Bruno was born and raised just north of L.A. and nicknamed "AWOL" by his high school friends.  Eric played guitar for cutting-edge, electro-infused rockers Tinfed. Commercial success eluded them despite a cult following, a deal with a major label, and an appearance on the M:I 2 soundtrack.  Bruno co-founded the hardcore band Insurgence as a teenager. His next band, Home Town Hero, toured with Weezer and Stone Temple Pilots and released a major label album, but combusted in 2004. Next came Under The Influence Of Giants, who, despite critical acclaim, disbanded in 2008. Stenman became one of the most sought-after producers of alternative rock. His discography as a producer, mixer, and engineer includes important releases from 7 Seconds, Senses Fail, ††† (Crosses), and AWOLNATION. AWOLNATION, of course, is the multi-platinum act Bruno formed in 2009. 
 
The spirit of the underground and the personal catharsis delivered through metallic hardcore never left either of them. So, when Aaron learned that Eric crafted a batch of throwback bangers combining impassioned angst with modern sensibilities, he wanted in immediately. The Barbarians were born.  The apparent "full circle" moment isn't lost on either of them. "It's a funny time in our lives to go back and make the most aggressive music we've ever created," Stenman laughs. “Both of us have always had a love for this world. If given the opportunity, why not try to give back to it?"

Emerging in 2017, Restraining Order hit their stride with 2019's This World Is Too Much. The latter spawned the fan favorite "Don't Really Think," which amassed over 1.1 million Spotify streams and counting. The 2023 follow-up, Locked In Time, incited tastemaker applause. Stereogum hailed it as "a great entry point for the present-day hardcore landscape" and New Noise Magazine celebrated how, "Restraining Order introduce a new flavor of hook-filled, catchy tracks." Plus, Revolver christened them one of "7 Bands Leading Massachusetts Hardcore's New Wave.”"Along the way, they shared stages with the likes of Angel Du$t, Citizen, Drug Church, Fiddlehead, Fucked Up, Kublai Khan TX, LustSickPuppy, and more. The group eventually caught the attention of Blue Grape Music in 2024 and signed to the label. 

Memphis May Fire Announce Fall 2025 Headline Tour

MEMPHIS MAY FIRE — Matty Mullins (vocals), Kellen McGregor (guitar), Cory Elder (bass), and Jake Garland (drums) — will embark on a headline tour this fall. Memphis May Fire: THE SHAPESHIFTER TOUR LEG 2 kicks off on November 17 in Florida and runs through December 16 in Arkansas.

Rain City Drive will serve as direct support, with Nevertel and If Not For Mealso appearing.

During the 2020 pandemic, Vianova reinvented their musical and visual identity, evolving their sound with the arrival of bassist Raoul Zillani.
