Vocalist Amy Montgomery comments, "'Into The Blue' is empathy, anger, passion, and an observation of senseless loss of life."

PREYRS are the brainchild of Belfast rock artist Amy Montgomery and drummer/producer Michael Mormecha. Fusing raw alternative rock energy with the weight of metal, the quartet's music is an electrifying clash of aggression and euphoria, darkness and uplift, chaos and control. Elements of artists as disparate as Nine Inch Nails, Chelsea Wolfe, Sonic Youth, and Julie Christmas combine to delirious and heady effect.

Busking on the streets of Belfast from the age of 15, Montgomery met multi-instrumentalist Mormecha a few years later and they've been working together ever since. Both songwriters in their own right, Michael fronted renowned Irish post-hardcore outfit Mojo Fury and worked as a producer for artists including The Bonnevilles, Mojo Fury, and Joshua Burnside. They're joined as PREYRS by longtime guitarist Nolan Donelly and new bass player Ciarán McGreevy.

Known for electrifying live performances, PREYRS made their UK festival debut at Bloodstock Open Air this August and appeared at Stendhal Festival in Ireland. Nominated as "Best Live Act" and "Best Artist" at the Northern Ireland Music Prize, Montgomery's undeniably fierce and captivating frontperson energy has been her secret weapon often described as "otherworldly" or "a force of nature." For those seeking the epic, the healing, the aggressive, and the unrelenting pulse of alternative rock and metal, PREYRS are it.

PREYRS will be supporting punk legends New Model Army across Europe this winter.

L.A. Hard Rock Rising Stars S8NT ELEKTRIC Drop Video for Deeply Personal Track "MIRROR_IMAGE"

S8NT ELEKTRIC have quickly become a force in the heavy music scene, not just for their innovative rock sound — a collision of crushing riffs and infectious pop hooks — but for their commitment to truly living "OFF THE EDGE."

This isn't just a motto — it's a lifestyle, demonstrated by their death-defying stunts including being circled by drift cars and skydiving.

Founded on the bold vision of singer Bri Carbajal and lead guitarist Niko Tsangaris, and brought to life by the talents of Trey Baker (drums), Sinner (guitar), and Harrison Forsythe (bass), S8NT ELEKTRIC use their adrenaline junkie attitude and honest songwriting to inspire listeners to confront their fears and chase their dreams. The band has toured Europe every summer, opening for artists like Wolfmother, Mammoth WVH, MC5, Dirty Honey, and WARGASM, as well as playing huge festivals such as Bottlerock, Rockville, Prague Rocks, and Azkena Rocks.

With "MIRROR_IMAGE," S8NT ELEKTRIC are releasing a personal new single and video today. It is the fourth track from their debut album OFF THE EDGE which will be released in 2026.

"'MIRROR_IMAGE' was written by Bri and I about our relationship," says Tsangaris. "We have now been together for six years, two years before the band started. In many ways, Bri and I are complete opposites; she's outgoing and bubbly, and I am serious and enjoy being alone. We are completely inverse as people, and as a result, we complete each other. She helps me become more expressive and I help her become more introspective. The one thing we have in common is our love for music, which is why this band started in the first place. This song perfectly expressed how we feel about each other, and it was almost magically written. In 10 minutes, Bri and I had written the whole song and took a video of it. The next day we brought it to the band and the rest is history."

TRUSTcompany and Smartpunk Records Team Up to Release "The Lonely Position Of Neutral" on Vinyl

A defining album for TRUSTcompany and the greater scope of rock music, "The Lonely Position Of Neutral" is a must-have record in the collection of any die-hard 2000s rock music fan who wants to hold a piece of history in their hands.  It is the band's most successful release to date, and was certified gold with over half a million copies sold.

The album was originally released on July 22, 2002, and after 23 years, Smartpunk Records has exclusively teamed up with the band for a special vinyl release of 2,000 total pressings, 500 of which are Smartpunk Exclusive. This is the first time the album is on vinyl, and it is available for purchase online now.

Order here.

Kevin Palmer, vocalist of TRUSTcompany, commented, "It’s wild to think that 23 years after its release, The Lonely Position of Neutral is finally available on vinyl. This record changed our lives, and we’re beyond thankful that it continues to connect with people all these years later."

Speaking about the release, Smartpunk Records Label Manager Matt Burns says, "This record, and specifically 'Downfall', created a core memory in my mind from when you'd discover new music on the radio. I remember in the early 2000s, I would find out about so many new bands from MTV or MuchMusic, but I got turned onto TRUSTcompany from our local South Florida rock station (shoutout ZETA 94.9)! I got tickets to see the band at the Halloweenie Roast, which also had  KoRn and I think Theory of a Deadman? Tickets were probably only like $30, but I remember the band blew my young mind away! I picked up the CD from a local shop shortly after, and to be able to work with the band over 20 years later on this release is so insane to me!"

The Hirsch Effekt Announce Versatile New Album "Der Brauch" Out 1/30 + Share Title Track

Since their formation, The Hirsch Effekt have carved out a unique niche in the German-speaking music scene.

Yet, despite — or perhaps because of — their elusiveness, the band has captivated a devoted audience. Musically, The Hirsch Effekt have always embraced limitless possibilities. Acoustic, introspective moments — where bassist Ilja John Lappinbrings out his cello or guitarist Nils Wittrock returns to his classical roots — sit naturally alongside massive progressive metal onslaughts.

Today, the trio from Hanover, Germany, announced its seventh studio album, Der Brauch, out January 30 via Long Branch Records. At the same time, the band is giving fans a taste of the new work with the release of the title track.

Watch the visualizer for "Der Brauch" below.

Stream the new single and pre-order the album here

While earlier works, despite their diversity, were still labeled "metal albums," this new record explores paths first hinted at on the multi-layered second album, Holon: Anamnesis — the same album that fans of VISIONS magazine voted the only German-language entry among the 20 best albums of all time. Der Brauch can be seen as a return to that pivotal point — and simultaneously as a bold step forward. Drummer Moritz Schmidt doesn't entirely forego blast beats, but the record demands a new heading. In the end, though, there is only one truth: It unmistakably sounds like The Hirsch Effekt.

THE HIRSCH EFFEKT ARE:
Nils Wittrock — Guitar, Vocals
Ilja John Lappin — Bass, Vocals
Moritz Schmidt — Drums, Vocals

Excide Share "Call Box" Video

EXCIDE  Tyler Washington, Gill Gonzalez, Gage Lanza, Caleb Hogue, and Jacob Paris — will drop their second album Bastard Hymns on November 28 via SharpTone Records. Pre-order it here.

Today, the band unleashes "Call Box."

Watch the video below.

"'Call Box' was the 'click' moment for the record," says Washington. "Though it formed from a later demo, it's the song that most coherently synthesized every component of our desired outcome, and ended up being sort of the stencil we worked backwards from when in pre-production for the LP. I've referenced them previously but it's got ALL the goodies derived from our influences. The Cast Iron Hike-sort of grooves in the verses, the fuzzy Queens of the Stone Age bridge, and the HUGE ending that nods to the greats in Failure."

He finishes, "This song is Excide at its purest and best form to-date. No doubt a favorite on the record, and the perfect conclusion for it. It's my 'F*** you, thanks for the inspiration' song."

Bastard Hymnsis the logical next step from the band's debut album, Deliberate Revolver. "Having felt like we accomplished what we came to do on the first record, there were no guidelines or barriers around where we were to go next. This opened up so many avenues for our creativity and exploration. We were lucky enough to begin working with SharpTone the following year, which put the band back in gear and opened up new possibilities for the path forward."

Sonically, the band was inspired by the grooves and energy of late '90s post-hardcore bands such as Cast Iron Hike and Snapcase, while siphoning melody and textural elements much the same as Quicksand and Cave In. The band was not afraid to shift gears a bit and take influence from the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden, and Failure, which, Excide admit, " allowed us to really push the sonic needle into uncharted territory, even further accentuated by Austin Coupe's co-writing and production."

Overall, the album is a "fuzzy, rocky, groovy, angry record. Seeped in the woes of growing up in a hillbilly hellscape, and living to tell the tale. The result wasBastard Hymns."

See Hellish Sanguisugabogg Billboard + "Hideous Aftermath" Out Now

Boundary-pushing brutalists (and recent Decibel cover stars) Sanguisugabogg — Cody Davidson, drums; Drew Arnold, bass/guitars; Devin Swank, vocals; and Ced Davis, bass/guitars —have unleashed their new album Hideous Aftermath via Century Media. Get it here

In the band's home base of Columbus, OH, a "hellish" billboard promoting the album has been unveiled, and it's located right across the street from the capitol building. It parodies the infamous "Hell is Real" billboards that were erected across the state in 2004 as a measure to promote Christianity to motorists.

"To have our logo plastered on a billboard just across our state capitpl building should be considered vandalism in some way," the band theorizes. "This is so cool. Thank you to Century Media for giving OUR city the sickest merch it could ever receive."

Known for being THAT band with the unpronounceable name and unreadable logos, the 'Bogg have made a record as gore-obsessed and violence-inclined as any of their prior works, including Tortured Whole (2021) and Homicidal Ecstasy(2023), but with a career-defining command over their ugly art. Says Swank, "It's the one where we rolled our sleeves up and brought our A-Game."

Hideous Aftermath is the work of a band who has already cut a bloody swath into the underground and beyond. Sanguisugabogg have emerged from the sweat and grime of countless U.S. and international tours with the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Lorna Shore, and Kublai Kahn as well as festival slots and their own headline runs. They've ensnared scores of new converts to their brand of the brutally absurd.

Now in 2025, the 'Bogg's third full length leaves any "caveman death metal" tags in the dust. This is the sound of Sanguisugabogg flexing every muscle they have.

Enlisting producer Kurt Ballou (Nails, High on Fire) the 'Bogg decamped to God City Studios in Salem, Massachusetts in the Spring of 2025. "We got off the road after A LOT of touring and wanted to drill down and be as purely creative as possible without distraction," says Swank of the band's decision to work with the Converge guitarist in Witch City. "Kurt mixed Homicidal Ecstasy, so he already understood what we were going for."

While Sanguisugabogg have long been self-produced with Davidson handling production duties, this time, they put their sonic trust fully in Ballou's hands.

With Hideous Aftermath, Sanguisugabogg have proven themselves more than just an eccentric death crew on an acid-addled hateroll. They're both champions of the underground and a musical force unto themselves. "Eight or nine years ago, it seemed like what we were doing was pretty niche," Swank admits. "Where we've come, some of the rooms and festivals we've played is kind of remarkable." Big swings including recent appearances on more "mainstream" rock festivals including Columbus' Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville in Daytona, Florida, were never on the 'Bogg boys' charter underground agenda.

"I think we were a band that was set up to do nothing or a lot of something," Swank concludes. "Why 'normies' ever ended up liking it was weird. Who knows? Maybe we made pain and suffering fun."

Sanguisugabogg will be touring this November on a headline run, with Despised Icon, Defeated Sanity, and Corpsepile as support. All dates are below.

Virginity Release "You Can't Have My Blood: Bad Jazz Companion" via Smartpunk Records

Smartpunk Records' Florida power pop outfit, Virginity, has released a full-length companion to their 2024 LP "Bad Jazz," titled "You Can't Have My Blood." The tracklist is the ultimate fan service to enhance the original tracklist. It compiles songs from their two EPs released this year, as well as a handful of additional tracks, including an unreleased original and a few covers.

You can pre-order the vinyl now, out physically on October 24, just in time for Fest in Gainesville. This is an extremely limited vinyl release with no plans of repressing once sold out.

Listen below.

Pre-order "You Can't Have My Blood: Bad Jazz Companion" here

he band has received critical acclaim from the rock scene's top tastemakers, including New Noise Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, Audiotree, and more. As fan favorites at Smartpunk's SXSW showcase and Florida's beloved FEST, Virginity have cultivated a core fanbase who are foaming at the mouth for these new tracks.

Speaking about the new deluxe release, Virginity says, "Our newest release, You Can’t Have My Blood, is truly for the Virginity heads. When we released two EPs earlier this year, we knew we wanted to get them on vinyl in some form and that doing so was an important factor for our heaviest listeners, but we weren’t sure what it should look like. In taking a look at all the material, which mostly came about during the late stages of the Bad Jazz sessions, we decided that this should be a sort of Bad Jazz spiritual companion. We had songs that never got past the demo form that we wanted to see the light of day, as well as some live performances, covers and other odds-and-ends that have been available in random places, but never in one place or on vinyl. As much as it’s a compilation of disparate songs, we believe it also stands up on its own as a piece in the tradition of artists like Guided By Voices. We think it’s a truly worthy collection of tunes for anybody, but something extra special for those that have been fans of our band for a while."

UPCOMING SHOWS:
10/22 - Pre-Pre-Fest Orlando @ Will's Pub
10/23 - Pre-Fest Gainesville @ Boca Fiesta

ABOUT SMARTPUNK RECORDS:
Smartpunk has been a recognizable name in the scene for a long time (Remember that sponsored Warped Tour stage?!). After exchanging several hands and countless ideas of what it could and should be, they decided to start a record label in 2016 with the main idea of focusing solely on reissuing records that have been out of print or never on vinyl. After all, they're a label of vinyl dorks themselves! After releasing Set Your Goals' Mutiny and Gameface's Good, they started to venture into signing newer bands. They actively balance in between many worlds — putting out amazing music from friends and bands that rock, reissuing older titles, and partnering with other incredible labels in our scene and doing exclusive color variants of their releases.

Since forming the record label, Smartpunk Records has reissued timeless albums such as Less Than Jake's Hello Rockview and Anthem, Patrick Stump's Soul Punk and Samiam's Clumsy. In the year 2025 alone they've put out new releases by the likes of Somerset Thrower, Keep Flying, Debt Neglector, Gully Boys, Sainthood Reps and so many more.

Bambie Thug Shares Official Music Video for "Redrum"

Fresh off the heels of dropping their defiant single "REDRUM," Bambie Thug returns with the track's official music video. Directed by Jake Ringsell, the eerie video draws inspiration from one of cinema's most disturbing images: The Ludovico Technique from Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange. The forced transformation sets the tone for a nightmarish visual that descends into themes of indoctrination, control, and psychological breakdown. With distorted realities and unnerving intensity, Bambie paints a raw and rebellious reflection of the current world.

Speaking about the music video, Ringsell said, "As soon as I heard 'REDRUM,' I knew we were going to make something special. The song gripped me from the first moment. I'd already seen them perform it live at Glastonbury earlier that year, and the energy felt like a war cry — unapologetic and defiant.

"In our first conversation about the video, Bambie mentioned one of cinema's most indelible images — 'The Ludovico Technique' from Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange. That reference struck a chord. The raw helplessness of that scene, the horror of forced transformation, became the thread we wove everything else upon. From there, the vision took on a life of its own: Hypnotic, visceral. and unflinching.

"This music video stands as my favorite collaboration to date. I hope it speaks with the same clarity and conviction that the song does — a mirror held up to the world, reflecting both its darkness and its fire."

Bambie Thug quite simply adds, "Interpret it for yourselves."

Since its release, "REDRUM" has received widespread praise from critics across the globe. Kerrang! hailed it as "raging and incredibly vital," while Wonderland noted, "Bambie's vocals in the hook pierce your eardrums, and the political lyricism is slick and profound," with Hot Press further commending their songwriting, stating, "The highlight of the song, however, is the lyrics: It's a loud, proud, rebel cry."

Produced by Shaun Lopez (††† & Deftones), "REDRUM" fuses sinister guitar riffs and crashing drums with Bambie's signature screams and politically charged lyrics into a powerful rebel cry. Lyrically locked in on the state of the world, the track is a fearless statement of who Bambie Thug is: An unwavering voice for the queer community and other marginalized groups and an artist that refuses to be silenced.

On the single Bambie Thug said, "'REDRUM' is a masterclass, sonically and lyrically. Seeing the reaction it's had live just emphasizes to me how important the song is. It's political, it's anti-war, it's a 'rebel cry' for the LGBTQIA community and for everyone who is fed up with living in this disconnected world. All I can offer to these turbulent times is my art and hope it wakes people up."

"REDRUM" marks Bambie Thug's first release under their global recording deal with Spinefarm, home to Bullet For My Valentine, Creeper, Dayseeker, and Black Veil Brides. This video continues an incredibly exciting year for Bambie, which as already seen them cap off a massive European arena tour with Babymetal and Poppy, a sensational debut performance at Glastonbury. and attend major London and Paris fashion week shows by Dilara Findikoglu, Ann Demeulemeester, Maximilian Raynor, and more.

ABOUT BAMBIE THUG:
Cork-born alt disruptor Bambie Thug (they/them/fae) is smashing through gender and socio-political stereotypes to create an era-defining sound that borders on elements of pop, rock, electronic and more. Self-coining the term ‘Ouija-pop’ to describe their sound, Bambie Thug has made serious waves over the last few years with a series of genre-defying singles and a critically acclaimed EP CATHEXIS. Bambie represented Ireland at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with their spellbinding entry "Doomsday Blue," finishing at sixth place — the highest placement for an Irish act in 24 years. Following the contest, "Doomsday Blue" flooded the charts globally, reaching the top 40 in Ireland (#23), Lithuania (#9), Greece (#12), Finland (#40), as well as earning their first UK chart entry at #67. A strikingly visual artist, Bambie’s cinematic videos have seen them transform into a variety of otherworldly characters such as "HIM" from The Powerpuff Girls, a lethal arachnid creature and a vampire bride. No stranger to the big stage, Bambie has played festivals across the world including Glastonbury, Download and Electric Picnic to much critical acclaim. Their show-stopping performances have been described as "a genderqueer, occult-tinged, strikingly theatrical edge” (Evening Standard), and they have received ongoing global support from the likes of NME, Kerrang!, Rolling Stone UK, GAY TIMES, BBC Radio 1, Spotify, Amazon Music and more.

Dragony Welcome New Member Maria Nesh Ahead of January 2026 Tour

On the heels of the announcement of a January 2026 European tour with ENSIFERUM and FREEDOM CALL, DRAGONY promised additional news. Here it is. Their long-time collaborator and frequent special guest vocalist for live shows, Maria Nesh (RED EYE TEMPLE), is joining the band as a full-time member starting with the January tour.

Touring oftentimes poses considerable challenges for bands, especially when it comes to scheduling, so they made the decision to switch to a two-singer lineup to enable them to not only expand their musical scope by adding an additional female voice, but to also do more shows and tours than before.

Starting with the January tour, DRAGONY live shows will generally feature both singers, except in instances where one singer can't make it for scheduling or work-related reasons, in which case, such shows will be performed solo by the other singer.

After playing with DRAGONY many times over the past years, it's going to be fun to be working with them on a full-time basis and to perform even more shows with DRAGONY in the future. I am also looking forward to working on new music in the studio with the guys, and maybe there will be some exciting news to be shared in this regard very soon. For now, I'm happy to be DRAGONY's new 'Valkyrie' and look forward to the big European tour in January! See you on the Road to Valhalla!," stated Nesh.

'00s Faves Dry Kill Logic Commence Writing New Album + Announce 2026 Tour Dates

After an explosive 2025 that saw their first live performances in nearly two decades, Dry Kill Logic — the hard-hitting, genre-defying band known for their unique fusion of nu-metal, hardcore, and metalcore — have officially begun work on a new full-length album. The record will mark the group's first LP since 2006's Of Vengeance & Violence.

In addition, the band has announced the Decades of Distance Tour 2026, a headline run that will return them to markets and venues they have not performed in for over 20 years.

A NEW ALBUM: YOUR SINS WILL FIND YOU:
The band has officially began writing its fourth full-length album, titled Your Sins Will Find You. Drawing inspiration from recent collaborations with producer Greg Thomas (End, Misery Signals, Shai Hulud) and fueled by their return to the stage, the record promises to both honor their roots and push their sound forward.

Fans can expect a dynamic blend of ferocity and melody — building on tracks like "Vices," "Don't See Ghosts," and "Now You Belong with the Dead," while staying true to the raw aggression of classics like "200 Years," "Boneyard," and "Nightmare."

THE DECADES OF DISTANCE TOUR 2026:
In support of the upcoming album, Dry Kill Logic will hit the road in 2026 for the Decades of Distance Tour, returning to long-absent markets. Select shows will feature support from New Jersey metal heavyweights Dizasterpiece.

"The excitement and anticipation are overwhelming," says guitarist Jason Bozzi. "To finally return to these cities after all these years is something we never thought would happen. We’re incredibly excited to see everyone."

Moodring Return With Video for New Single "Half-Life"

Founded in Florida yet now based in Atlanta, Georgia, Moodring is a nu-metal x alt-rock project led by dynamic frontman Hunter Young.

The band's 2022 debut Stargazer captured attention from the tastemaker crowd, including a 4 out of 5 star review from Kerrang! Now, newly signed to SharpTone Records, the band has dropped the video for brand new single "Half-Life."

Watch it below.

"'Half-Life" is an incredibly personal (and intense) song, as it addresses the many changes in Young's life and in Moodring's configuration. With Young now unable to actively tour, Moodring became a concept that is malleable and can morph and take different shapes, and with different collaborators without defined borders and boundaries.

"'Half-Life' was one of the first songs written after I received a life-changing medical diagnosis and was forced to grieve losing the person that I thought I was and had identified as for most of my sentient life," Young shares, laying his cards face up on the table with no hesitation. "It was a devastating blow to an already-tarnished nervous system. This song and sub-sequential songs were my way of coping and writing an obituary for the person I lost in that doctor's office."

He continues, "But when looking at 'Half-Life' through a broader lens, I believe anyone who's ever been forced to face realities or truths they cannot change can relate in ways that weren't the original intention."

Stay tuned for more from Moodring.

DoFlame and DEAR-GOD Drop Collab "Neighborhood Watch" EP Today

DoFlame and DEAR-GOD have dropped the four-track, collaborative Neighborhood Watch EP.  Listen to it below.

DEAR-GOD is the brainchild of Robert Ortiz who plays in DoFlame's band and is also a long-time production collaborator. So the synergy between these two artists is real!

DoFlame will spend some of the fall on tour with Pinkshift. All dates are below.

ABOUT DOFLAME:
For a solo artist, Mateo Naranjo, the mastermind behind DoFlame, is uniquely devoted to unlocking the potential of music scenes. The 21-year-old punk from Toronto is fueled by a desire to bring people into a world and in turn bring them together, to find the real sense of community that can be attained by immersing yourself in an underground culture. DoFlame's most recent album, BENT, bottles that feeling of discovery and camaraderie. Like a hardcore version of a coming-of-age movie, it captures all of the joy, confusion, and determination of being young and unsure of what's next just as effectively as it blends the unbridled aggression of heavy music with the swagger of hip-hop.

DOFLAME ON TOUR:

CKY Drop New Single "Can't Stop Running" — Listen // Touring This Fall

CKY have returned with "Can't Stop Running," their first new music since 2018. Released without advance notice, the track marks a new chapter for the band — one that builds on years of relentless touring and renewed creative momentum. Confident, melodic, and unmistakably CKY, the song hints at the evolution driving their next era.

Listen here or below.

"This song has been a favorite of ours since it was written and demoed, and it’s remained one of the standouts," says guitarist and singer Chad I. Ginsburg. "It will be played on tour and we're very proud of it. The rest of the upcoming tracks we'll be releasing are all over the map — however, this one happens to be one of our favorites. It has the perfect happy/sad feel, and shows real progression and growth in writing. This is a song for everyone — not just CKY diehards."

Drummer Jess Margera adds, "I must have heard this song about 2,000 times since we recorded it, and somehow I still get pumped when it comes on shuffle."

A music video for "Can't Stop Running" will be released in the coming weeks.

CKY have always thrived on defiance; born from skate-punk chaos and shaped by hard-earned lessons, yet still driven by the same raw energy that put them on the map. What was once reckless has become refined: The fire's still there; it's now just burning with purpose. Guitarist and vocalist Chad I. Ginsburg fronts the band with confidence and conviction, while co-founder and drummer Jess Margera anchors the sound with the power and precision that have always defined CKY, with his recent solo release Thoughts & Prayers (a multi-artist collaboration featuring members of Alice Cooper, Ween, Kyuss, Circa Survive, The Roots, Opeth, Clutch, and Sum 41) underscoring his ever-evolving musicianship. The chemistry between them remains undeniable — seasoned, focused, and still unmistakably CKY.

The lineup is now completed by acclaimed bassist Mike Leon, whose crushing work with Soulfly, Cavalera, Havok, and Igorrr has made him a standout in heavy and alternative music. A longtime CKY fan, Leon's journey has come full circle — from cheering in the crowd to sharing the stage with the band that inspired him to pick up the bass. Ginsburg calls his addition "a perfect fit," praising Leon's passion, drive, and deep understanding of the band's legacy. Leon made his debut with CKY at Warped Tour, delivering a performance that felt both familiar and fresh, and his presence marks a bold new chapter for the band as they prepare new music and take to the road.

CKY's impact on rock and alternative music is long-established, with a worldwide fanbase known as the "CKY Alliance," and a reputation for high-energy live performances. Invited on tours by acts such as Guns N' Roses, Metallica, and Deftones, the band has consistently demonstrated their versatility, endurance, and appeal. Armed with a new song and a new slate of tour dates to close out 2025, the CKY experience endures. The band will be firing on all pistons in 2026, with more to come.

Shields Announce "Death & Connection" Album + Share "Wolfskin"(Feat. Taylor Barber) Video

BRITISH METALCORE ACT SHIELDS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM DEATH & CONNECTION OUT JANUARY 30 — PRE-ORDER

SHARE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE "WOLFSKIN" (FEAT. TAYLOR BARBER OF LEFT TO SUFFER) OUT NOW!

Shields are a band whose resilience stands as a testament to their ability to persevere through some of life's most difficult experiences.

Acclaimed British metalcore band Shields have announced their new studio album, Death & Connection, set for release on January 30 via Long Branch Records

"Death & Connection is a body of work born from the absence of the people who no longer hold space in our lives," comments Shields. "This record was created from a necessity to express and soothe our deepest losses. However, that was never the intention. We simply set out to make an album we wanted to hear."

In conjunction with today's album announcement, Shields have released the video for new single "Wolfskin." The song features guest vocals from Left To Suffer's Taylor Barber.

PRE-ORDER "DEATH & CONNECTION"

Founded in 2012 by primary songwriters Joe Edwards (vocals) and Samuel Kubrick Finney (guitar/vocals), Shields quickly made an impact in the heavy music scene with their viral single "I Just Feel Hate" — a track they re-released in a newly reimagined version in April 2025. Their EP GUILT cemented their refined sound, blending brutal instrumentation with poignant, emotionally driven lyrics. With this release, they demonstrated an aggressive adaptability to the ever-evolving alternative music landscape, winning over fans from across adjacent genres. The momentum of their powerful breakthrough led to tour cycles alongside acts such as Loathe, Ice Nine Kills, and Escape the Fate.

Shields' debut full-length album Life in Exile (2018) received critical acclaim for its raw honesty and musical maturity. However, the album cycle was tragically cut short by the sudden passing of guitarist George Christie — an event that ultimately led to the band's untimely and abrupt disbandment.

Their return marks a bold decision, given the tragic circumstances surrounding their 2018 split. Yet, Shields re-emerge with powerful new tracks, inviting audiences to witness the next evolution of their sound - matured, refined, and fearless. This new chapter is supported by a fortified lineup, featuring founding members Edwards andl Kubrick Finney, now joined by Alastair Wain (drums) and Krishan Pujara (bass).

If Shields' discography is any indication of what lies ahead, audiences can expect a torrent of unrelentingly bold strides into new sonic territories.
