Today French shoegaze/indie act ALCEST release their brand new video for 'Améthyste'. The new record Les Chants De L'Aurore was released on June 21st 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records. It was the 7th album of the band.

Neige comments: "Our long time friend and collaborator William Lacalmontie followed us during our last European tour promoting « Les Chants de L’Aurore » in order to make a music video documenting our experience and the shows we have been playing every night. I asked him not only to focus on the band but also pay homage to our fans, our crew, our community who have been so supportive to us since the early days of Alcest. This video is the way we found to tell you thank you.

Our world tour is keeping on in North America from February to mid March, and then we will go to Asia. We Iive such a beautiful adventure, and all this would be impossible without your love and support. Take care and see you very soon again!"

French shoegaze/indie act ALCEST has announced their awaited return to North America for a winter/spring tour in support of their critically lauded new album Les Chants De L'Aurore that's out now via Nuclear Blast Records. The tour begins in Boston, MA on February 19th and will end in Brooklyn, NY on March 23rd.

"In February and March 2025 Alcest will be touring in North America for the first time in 7 years. It was about time and we are so excited to come back. Théodore Rondeau, the creative initiator behind VESTIGE, embarked on a journey of forming the band during a turbulent phase in his life. Emerged as a creative vessel for a complicated emotional journey, the band transcends the boundaries of individual therapy into a collaborative force that hopefully resonates with the feelings that may be all too common for the human experience.

With a profound connection to their craft, VESTIGE pour their souls into their debut album, infusing it with a captivating blend of melancholy, desperation, and catharsis. The formation of VESTIGE’s lineup reads like a musical destiny unfolding: Pierre-André Krauzer on the bass, Quentin Regnault on drums, and Théodore on vocals and guitar. They first crossed paths during their tenure in Naraka, a band that shared stages with icons like Cradle of Filth and Alcest. This initial connection laid the groundwork for the formation of the band. Not long after, the addition of Thomas Petit on the second guitar solidified the lineup, bringing a sense of completeness to the ensemble. The band’s sonic identity now established; VESTIGE was ready to share this experience with the world.

The signing with Season of Mist brings the band’s first milestone, allowing VESTIGE to share their journey in the form of their debut album, Janis. Poised for release in late 2024, the album is a culmination of their collective efforts and a statement of the band’s arrival in the heavy music scene. Weaving through atmospheric shoegaze textures, melodic landscapes and intense, tormented moments that reflects the emotional spectrum of the human experience, the band established a foothold into the genre of modern metal.

Beyond the studio, VESTIGE is gearing up for a series of live performance in 2024, setting the stage for an introspective musical experience that brings raw and authentic energy. A cathartic release that pulls in the listener into the emotional depths the band has to bring.

ALCEST - RELEASE NEW SONG 'FLAMME JUMELLE'

Today French shoegaze/indie act ALCEST relase their brand new song 'Flamme Jumelle'. The new album Les Chants De L'Aurore will be released on June 21st via Nuclear Blast Records.

Neige states:
"Despite its more accessible vibe, this song is actually the most personal song of the album for me. "Flamme Jumelle", which means "Twin Flame", is about the idea of loss in general and the difficulty of coping with the absence of someone you deeply loved. It could be a family member, a friend, or a partner. On a more spiritual level, the title refers to the possibility that certain souls are connected in this life and beyond, and that separation is temporary and just a mortal concept."

ALCEST - Announce New Album Les Chants De L'Aurore + Release 'L'Envol'

This summer will see the release of a long awaited gem: Today, French shoegaze/indie act ALCEST announce the release of their seventh album Les Chants De L'Aurore for June 21st.

Neige states:
"'L'Envol' is a musical return to the atmosphere of Alcest's first albums. I wrote this song after an inspiring trip to Corsica, where I met amazing people and was surrounded by some of the most unique landscapes I have ever seen. It is about escaping from earthly reality to join a flock of mythical birds flying through the known boundaries of our world. The song is accompanied by a music video created by the talented French artist Yoann Lossel, who also designed the album cover. For this first single release, we wanted the music, lyrics and visuals to be as coherent and immersive as possible. All the tracks on Les Chants de l'Aurore are very different from one another, but we thought this one would be a great introduction to the overall atmosphere and themes of the album."
