Aeternum Announce New Single "Voodoo Doll", Tour Dates Supporting A Killer's Confession

Aeternum will release their new single, "Voodoo Doll", on February 21st. The band’s songs are produced by multi-platinum artist and producer Scott Wilson, who has been leading the team alongside Billy Dale at Random EQ. All of Aeternum’s music was tracked at Sunshine Studios Live in Colorado Springs, capturing the raw energy and authenticity that defines the band's style.

In celebration, Aeternum is hitting the road this spring in support of A Killer's Confession and VentanA. The tour will kick off on April 2nd at Madison Live in Covington, KY, and promises to deliver an electrifying live experience for fans across North America.

ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM 'VICTIM 1'
A KILLER'S CONFESSION, fronted by vocalist and mastermind Waylon Reavis, plunge past the point of no return, offering a captivating album of melodic hard rock dosed with pummeling metal and industrial stylings on their latest LP VICTIM 1. It arrives September 13 via MNRK HEAVY.
"'Filth' is a personal favorite," states Reavis. "It's another chapter in the lore of Victim 1. I personally love the upbeat feel of this song, especially when playing it live. If you have caught an AKC show in the last few months, you have been lucky enough to hear it already. I feel our production team of Dusty Boles and Evan McKeever really helped me knock this one out of the park. The song takes you on a journey through the killer's eyes."

The singer also pulled back the curtain on the album as a whole, saying, "Victim 1 might possibly be my favorite album I've ever been a part of. AKC stepped completely out of the box to write Victim 1. I brought in new producers [Dusty Boles and Evan McKeever] to help rebrand the sound of the band. I took most of last year off and did not tour in order to write this album."

A Killer's Confession Share "Martyr" Video — WATCH + Touring Through Spring + Summer

A KILLER'S CONFESSION, newly signed to MNRK HEAVY, have shared their second single.

Today, they drop the video for "Martyr." Watch it Below.

"'Martyr' is the second step into the lore of Victim 1," the band says. "This song is the embodiment of acceptance of who you are and what you have to do. Tossing aside what others might think of your actions knowing in the end, it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks."

Regarding the accompanying video, AKC say, "The video for 'Martyr' is the idea of how soldiers from The Crusades will go to church to ask for penance for their actions. The scenery of a simpler time and the camaraderie between the knights says it all. "What we do is for the greater good.'"

After three seminal albums with Mushroomhead, Reavis retreated from music, only for it to draw him back in 2016. He resurfaced at the helm of A Killer's Confession, delivering three cult favorite albums — Unbroken [2017], The Indifference of Good Men [2019], and Remember [2021]. Along the way, the band tallied tens of millions of streams in addition to collaborating with everyone from Brian "Head" Welch of Korn and Love And Death to Chad Gray of Mudvayne and HELLYEAH. Joined by bassist JP Cross, guitarist James Skritch, and the duo drums of Will Spodnik and Kegan King, they also captivated crowds on tour.

During 2022, Waylon experienced an epiphany. "I had never thought about following a concept like this before," he said. "However, I decided to focus, live up to the name, and be A Killer's Confession."

Conceptually, it addresses a very relatable and topical issue — don't get caught up in death scrolling because life does not begin at the end of your wrist, phone in hand, focused on your feed. People get greedy and flex for attention. Other than the band, I try to stay off social media as much as I can. Personally, I won't let it be the death of me."

MNRK Heavy Signs A Killer's Confession, feat. ex-Mushroom Head's Waylon Reavis

MNRK Heavy has signed Cleveland, OH-based alternative metal band A Killer's Confession, led by former Mushroomhead vocalist Waylon Reavis, to a worldwide deal.

The first single, "Greed," will be released on March 15th, with a full-length studio album slated for the fall. Fans can pre-save the track here.

Scott Givens, MNRK's SVP of Rock & Metal, says, “I watched Waylon build AKC from the ground up, and when the opportunity for MNRK Heavy to become involved presented itself, we jumped at the chance. We are all looking forward to unleashing the new record this fall.”

Reavis says, "I am super excited to be joining the MNRK Heavy family! I would like to thank Scott Givens and everyone else on the MNRK team for believing in the AKC (A Killers’s Confession) project.
