WEDNESDAY 13 Teams Up With Faster Pussycat's Taime Downe for Hard Rocker "No Apologies"

Slaying audiences across North America on his "There's No Such Thing As Monsters" tour celebrating 20 years of Transylvania 90210, WEDNESDAY 13 has just unleashed the biggest surprise in his bag of tricks — his brand-new single "No Apologies," featuring Faster Pussycat's Taime Downe! The track appears on the band's upcoming full-length album, Mid Death Crisis, out April 25 via Napalm Records.

"No Apologies" wastes no time ripping into a heavy rock rager, laced with fiery guitar leads and even more searing lyrics. The fast-romping anthem is an unapologetic exorcism of toxic demons and even more toxic people, and arrives alongside a new music video, also featuring Downe.

WEDNESDAY 13 comments, "This is the most rock n' roll song I've written in years. I wanted to go back to my roots, and my roots are '80s glam. The name at the top of that list was Faster Pussycat, so it made total sense to have Taime Downe guest on this track. Having one of my rock 'n' roll idols alongside me in the studio was an honor. We whipped up a nasty little middle finger salute to ourselves on this one, and the result is 'No Apologies.'"

Watch the "No Apologies" music video below.

After returning in 2022 with his widely-acclaimed full-length album Horrifier (#8 US Top New Artist Albums), as well as several major tours supporting his solo work and celebrated Murderdolls reunion shows, the Duke of Spook is back with Mid Death Crisis! WEDNESDAY 13 dubs the album as a fun, campy, "leave-your-brain-at-the-door" rager and a true return to his hard-rocking roots! Produced by guitarist Alex Kane (Life, Sex & Death, Enuff Z'Nuff, Antiproduct) and mixed by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Prong, DevilDriver) the album oozes infectious '80s sleaze metal energy.

Eerie introductory track "There's No Such Thing As Monsters" vibrates with electricity before industrial-tinged "Decease and Desist" kicks in full blast. WEDNESDAY 13’s trademark crooning wastes no time entering the fold as he careens through the high-octane horror anthem. First single "When the Devil Commands" instantly proves itself as a stunner with an unforgettable hook, charging arena rock-laden drum production and chugging guitars, before tracks like "Rotting Away" and "Blood Storm" ensnare with metallic goth-punk energy that will have crowds moving wall to wall. Featuring Faster Pussycat’s Taime Downe on guest vocals, standout heavy rocker "No Apologies" is a fast-romping exorcism of toxic demons, while the triumphant mini-murder ballad "Decapitation" riles up listeners with a catchy lead riff before making a hard left into a theatrical bridge straight out of a sinister '60s sock hop! Ragers like "In Misery," "Xanaxtasy," and "Sick and Violent" explore various genres of metal, injecting the album with elements of gripping heaviness for any listener, while downtempo stunners "I Hurt You" and "My Funeral" approach a more pensive territory.

Although its title, Mid Death Crisis, may suggest otherwise, WEDNESDAY 13shows zero signs of stopping on this refreshingly powerful and multi-faceted entry into the band's hall of horrific history!

WEDNESDAY 13 Drops Ghoulish Music Video for New Single "In Misery"

Currently hitting venues across North America on his "There's No Such Thing As Monsters" tour celebrating 20 years of Transylvania 90210, world-renowned fearsome frontman WEDNESDAY 13 returns with the second single cut from his new full-length album, Mid Death Crisis, set to drop on April 25 via Napalm Records.

Following acclaimed, ultra-catchy latest single "When The Devil Commands," brand new second single "In Misery" is a spooky rager, scratching the itch of both goth-punk and sleaze metal while deftly ebbing and flowing amid heavy genre influences and an earworm hook!

WEDNESDAY 13 comments about "In Misery":

"There are too many love songs out there about people confessing their love to one another. I wanted to do the exact opposite, and confess the misery of being in a bad relationship. Hopelessly, madly in misery with someone. I see it every day, people miserable together. I see it almost as much as I see people happily together. Some people enjoy misery, and this song is about enjoying that misery as much as someone in love."

WEDNESDAY 13 Announces 10th Studio Album "Mid Death Crisis" + Drops Scandalous New Music Video

After returning in 2022 with his widely-acclaimed full-length album Horrifier (#8 US Top New Artist Albums), as well as several major tours supporting his solo work and celebrated Murderdolls reunion shows, world-renowned fearsome frontman WEDNESDAY 13 is back with another slew of harbingers of horror to slay the masses.

His new full-length album, Mid Death Crisis, is set to drop on April 25 via Napalm Records.

Produced by guitarist Alex Kane (Life, Sex & Death, Enuff Z'Nuff, Antiproduct) and mixed by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Prong, DevilDriver), the album oozes infectious '80s sleaze metal energy, further accented by a blitzing guest vocal from Faster Pussycat's Taime Downe.

WEDNESDAY 13 has unveiled the album's first single, the ultra-catchy "When The Devil Commands," and its equally raucous, blasphemous new music video. The track stuns with an unforgettable hook, charging arena rock-laden drum production and chugging guitars.

WEDNESDAY 13 comments, "Growing up in the '80s, I remember the satanic panic of heavy metal music and parents' concern over what their kids were listening to. My mother was constantly checking my cassettes and making sure I wasn't possessed by the devil. Most of the music that I listened to never had any of those themes, but they were just accused of it. So when writing the lyrics to this song, I wrote what I thought would terrify my mother if she had stumbled upon this music. I wanted the lyrics to be upfront and leave no question as to what they were about...The Devil. This song is done in a fun spirit, and we don't plan on burning any churches in the future."

On Tour Now in North America!

The undisputed Duke of Spook, WEDNESDAY 13, will finally drop his highly anticipated new album, 'Horrifier', this Friday, October 7, 2022 via Napalm Records!

Today, following the addictive first single "You're so Hideous", and one of his heaviest outputs yet, the lauded "Insides Out", WEDNESDAY 13 has revealed his latest concoction - surefire future fan-favorite "Good Day To Be A Bad Guy". The track aces the pure horror punk spirit of Murderdolls as a downright blissful tongue-in-cheek earworm that’ll seep into the listener’s head on repeat.

WEDNESDAY 13 says about "Good Day To Be A Bad Guy":

"'Good Day To Be a Bad Guy' is one of my favorite tracks off the new album. This track definitely has an earlier WEDNESDAY 13 sound to it, with the horror punk hammer in full swing and excessive use of the “F” word.

The video carries on with the horror movie theme with another tribute to one of my favorite films from the 80s, 'Halloween III: Season of the Witch'.”

Following up on 2019’s acclaimed 'Necrophaze' (#2 US Heatseekers), with 'Horrifier', the former front man of renowned horror punk supergroup Murderdolls revitalizes his sound with intensely fun punk energy and metallic attitude!

'Horrifier' weaves an underlying sonic thread reminiscent of WEDNESDAY 13’s roots – a raucous blend of ballistic metal and macabre heavy rock that’ll have new and diehard fans alike ascending from the depths.

WEDNESDAY 13’s ninth full-length album kicks off with eerie introductory track Severedbefore careening into one of the band’s heaviest songs ever recorded, the massive, slow and low Insides Out”. The aggressive, industrial-edged Exhume and Devour and warning sing-along single You’re so Hideous pick up the pace with danceable 90s sonic vigor.

The 'John Carpenter’s Halloween' inspired anthem Return to Haddonfield convinces with marching gang vocals and a searing metallic guitar solo before the pace picks up again on fast-riffing, mosh-ready title track Horrifier. Southern-fried metal tinged Hell Is Coming is one of the album’s best displays of stylistic versatility, accented by an impressively commanding vocal performance while pumping out a thrash-worthy breakdown and blues rock solo. Halfway to the Grave sees the band echoing 80s flavor accented by memorable leads and imploring lyrics before leading into the charging 'Christine' themed album standout Christine: Fury in the Night, featuring pounding drums, an unforgettable hook and a transfixing guitar lead that quite literally drives.

'Horrifier' closes with its most heartfelt track, The Other Side – a personal ode WEDNESDAY 13 penned about the sudden loss of his mother, as well as former Murderdolls bandmate Joey Jordison – but that also shines as a vital anthem made further pertinent after recent years of intense worldwide loss and reflection.

'Horrifier' was produced and recorded by WEDNESDAY 13 with mixing and mastering by Brent Clawson and features stunning album artwork by Jonny Bush.

Horror Punk Icon WEDNESDAY 13 Goes Heavy as Hell on New Single "Insides Out"

Ninth Studio Album, 'Horrifier', out October 7, 2022

via Napalm Records

Pre-Order HERE

On Tour Now in North America!

The undisputed harbinger of metal horror WEDNESDAY 13 recently announced his highly-anticipated next album of terrifyingly grim and groovy anthems, entitled 'Horrifier', out October 7, 2022 via Napalm Records. Following up on 2019’s acclaimed 'Necrophaze(#2 US Heatseekers), with 'Horrifier', the former frontman of renowned horror punk supergroup Murderdolls revitalizes his sound with intensely fun punk energy and metallic attitude!

Today, following up on the album's addictive first single, "You're so Hideous", WEDNESDAY 13 has revealed what is likely one of, if not the heaviest track of his career, entitled "Insides Out". The gory track - accompanied today by an equally gruesome video - boasts a colossal main riff before roaring with a searing chorus featuring slithering vocals and hair-raising guitar effects.

WEDNESDAY 13 says about "Insides Out":

“Our latest single "Insides Out'"is a very heavy song, so it only made sense to make a video to match the sound! Torture and violence is the main theme of this song, and we continue along the lines of the last music video with another horror movie theme here too."

Showcasing a blend of styles plucked from the band’s 20-year career, 'Horrifier' weaves an underlying sonic thread reminiscent of WEDNESDAY 13’s roots – a raucous blend of ballistic metal and macabre heavy rock that’ll have new and diehard fans alike ascending from the depths. As always, various tracks on the album are inspired by classic horror flicks, this time circling cult-favorite slasher John Carpenter’s Halloween and the iconic Christine supernatural thrillers.

WEDNESDAY 13’s ninth full-length album kicks off with eerie introductory track Severedbefore careening into one of the band’s heaviest songs ever recorded, the massive, slow and low Insides Out”.
